hi, SJ!

Flip! Bugs, I was trying to respond before the flip but lost it. If more of us engage; then maybe we can all keep up together.
My mind doesn't do puns naturally, Nef. I have a great sense of humouir but that kind of wit evades me. I love it when people are good at it because I appreciate how difficult it can be!
Yes, if you have a bunch of people putting in one comment apiece, it works better than two trying to keep a streak going.

Very true, SamanthaJoy. I can't keep up with puns either; but it does work better (for me at least) if there's some others also playing on each others' comments

good morning all
Hi sprite. I'd like to stay up & chat; but I'm starting to lose it now. How are you doing these days?
hiya Nef, sounds like you are ready for bed!
Yep, I am (It's 1AM here)
All good here, except for two feet in plaster. We moved out of our house, into a caravan, so it is a bit of a challenge to move around. But we are happy anyway, very glad to have started our simpler, less complicated life.
how about you? And yours?
2 feet in plaster? What happened?
misstepped from an awkward little stairs.
We are still here; DH is still mostly able to walk with a cane or using a shopping cart for short trips to the grocery store. We're going to move this year into some form of senior housing; I just can't keep up with the house & yard any more and keep track of him.
That must have been some mis-step!
might give you a lot of relief, once it is done. Not easy to let go of your home though.
yes it was. An ugly fracture left, and a bad contusion right. But surgery was successful, healing has started, so it will be okay in time.
We've lived her over 25 years now; it no longer gives pleasure when it's so much work.
how much longer will you be in plaster casts?
so true. I think it is great you feel ready to let go now that you have to. I hope you will find a lovely place to live with just the amount of care the two of you need.
It must have been tough to move into a caravan; will you be doing much travelling once your bones have healed?
we hope to build our own tiny house. As long as that process is going on, we will be living in the caravan. It is nice to be mobile, but for now, Rob has to work still and we need to stay in this area.
(We once dreamewd of doing that; traveling around the country in an RV; but that was before it was too hard for DH to get around (& before he gave up driving and before he started getting forgetful)
Okay
must be tough to see your partner getting too old for those dreams :(
Yeah. But you know what? as we age, our dreams become more realistic too. We are planning a road trip out to Montana in 3 weeks; my brother died of ALS & they're having a "Celebration of Life" for him and so we're driving out there with our 2 kids & the grandson; then taking the train back afterwards. I just hope the weather improves enough that it won't be too tough a trip for all of us (it's 1100 miles from here)
wow, that is some journey. I am so sorry about your brother. An ugly disease. But celebration of life sounds wonderful. I hope your trip will be just that1
1 = !
Considering we have nearly 4 feet of snow on the ground here & they have quite a bit of snow there; I worry about the drive; but this is the most economical way to do it (the train had a special for "2 for 1" ticket prices on Valentines Day; but it doesn't start until after the celebration. I wanted to have DH fly out there; he decided that he'd rather ride with us instead.
fingers crossed, Nef. May the snows melt enough to make your journey possible, and comfortable as can be.
I hope so. But right now I really need to go to bed; so I can function in the AM. You take care of yourself sprite.
will do. Sleep well, Nef, and all good thoughts and wishes for you and yours.
Same to you! Good night!

*giggles* And there she is. Hello dear friend *hugs* How was your day?
i'll do the shake and roll, you do the ra6.

too hot honey. and i seem to be really tired at the moment. i am needing at least 1-2 hour naps each afternoon.
don says i am back to moaning in my sleep again. just under 4 weeks to go for procedure.
how are you going? have you caught up a little?
ugh, too hot is so debilitating. And are you gonna call them to set an earlier date?
too close now to the set date. the lists will be all filled. also, i want to be at my 'best' when i come over.
yeah, easy day yesterday, friends came to cook for us. Something did not go right though, they and I have had bad belly-aches last night. Rob did not though.
ah yeah, I understand. *huggggg*
There is nothing wrong with moaning in bed!

Yes. Especially white wines
kinda. Also have 3 8s. For me, that is pretty good.
Off to bed. Wake me if i start moaning 😜
hmmmm..... i have developed a palate for sangria. i try to use a merlot or a pinot as the basis. but the sweeter reds are VERY drinkable as i have a sweet palate.
honey, if you don't wake up when I get you moaning, I will let you sleep :P

Hi ladies - good to see you both here.
How are you all doing?
*hugs Liz* Lovely to see you too. How are you and your beloved doing?
We're fine - as usual - but how about your poor ankles?
I am good, Rob is too. Navigating our way through both needing care, and succeeding so far.
{{{{{lizgirl}}}}}}}
Have you got extra help?
ankles are healing. I can move them both a tiny bit and it feels okay.
Is there provision for that sort of thing.
Rose :) - how are you doing?
That's progress, Sprite.
taking it quietly and loving the A/C. and you two?
we found a good microwave in the thriftstore and ordered a fridge. Will be delivered tonight. And tomorrow evening we will have meals for 5 days delivered. That relieves Rob from groceries and cooking, which will help a lot.
Enjoying the cooler weather. The seasons finally changed late last week. I saw about the fires in Vic. All OK with you?
That will be a good help for you both.
yes lizgirl. we and our family are all safe. the devastation is so wide spread. it's he5-breaking.
Glad you’re all safe. Fires are scary and devastating.

Yeah it is showing its teeth now. Just completed my first run through and I have 83 words left to find.
At least I have 8s and one of the 9s.
That is good, zooz. I have 2 8's and no 9's.

How cold is it there? My sister, in NY, is really suffering with the cold
I'm much farther south than your sister. We are having highs in the 40's and 50's.
Lots of rain here.
I know the folks up north are having a miserable time.
Ditto here in NC. So much rain.
That's where I am, carla. What section of NC are you in?
Charlotte area, what about you?
Yes, we had about 10" last night
I'm north of the Triangle, just about 20 miles from the VA border.
Are you expecting more, bichon?
Ah.
No, but it will turn very cold. Frozen snow, ice

good morning my darlings! SNOW DAY -- so happy!
YEA! Snow days are the best days!
also the most necessary snow day EVER - was at a drama festival competition with the school where I costume, and didn't get home until 10:30 last night, totally exhausted
Did you school do well?
actually, yes! We won awards for our costumes (ahem!!!) and we were chosen to move on to the next round of competition. Both thrilling AND awkward as all hell - the school where I work during the day was also there, and was NOT chosen for the semi round. oops.
That's great for those kids and you as well!
I guess the school where you work should re-think their costume designing needs : D
haha molly. Two TOTALLY different genres of plays. We did Tartuffe, 1675 France, they did a modern play, set in a high school. Closet costumes!
we spent over a $1000 on our costumes, and hand made almost every piece. I can't say I fault them, at this point!
Yes, but they will never know what they might have found in YOUR closet : D
