most hateful thing happened last night. my central incisor decided to break. no sign of decay thank heavens so hopefully dentist will be able to glue piece back on. meanwhile the broken tooth is ulcerating nside my top lip.

the ankle is doing okay. If I wear Rose's pressure socks all day, there is hardly any swelling. If I don't, things get ugly at the end of the day. So am wearing them every day. And using the TENS machine. It looks like the screws and plate will have to come out in time, they are very painful. But movement is improving every day.
But that sounds ungrateful.

not sure what normal is. Now that the swelling is down, there is only a thin layer of skin over the screws and everything that touches it, hurts. Some people don't have trouble with it, others do. I do. Guess I am lucky that way ;)

yup, sprite. it depends on the position of the screws. mine, for instance. buried deep into the bones yours, however, are more superficial and hence you would be very aware of the pressure from the inside of the screw heads pushing against the under-side of the skin.
exactly. And when something pushes down on that skin, it is very painful. Even when it is just the weight of the foot/leg itself. Ah well, I can manage a third operation. won't be for a while, things have to be fully healed before they will remove things.

flies are total pests. I hate them buzzing around me. Yesterday it was so muggy, with pending thunderstorms, lots of rain and high temps, that we had the infamous thunder flies... tiny tiny black things that keep flying around you, then land and sting. I hate them.

I can't begin to tell you how thankful I am we are in a caravan and not in a tent! Things would be miserable in a tent in this weather. Now we are high and dry, we can put on the heat if we are cold, we can cook easily indoors... Rob has taken possession of the picnic table and turned it into his office/drawing table. He is working on our design.

What does it mean?
It is a Buddhist word that means one who has achieved Nirvana.
The book is "The Overstory" and one of the characters is Buddhist.
