and done !!
good morning all
wtg rose!!!!!!!!!!!!
*hugs rose* Hello darling, how are things today?
{{{{hugs}}}}}} dear friend. how are you? i have found out what i can achieve WITHOUT going to the gym.. loll. fasting bloods this morning, then breakfast at a little cafe next to pathology centre. home, showered, went to gym. about 30 minutes later still no therapist. went to reception, told no gym. *sigh*. home. sorted through heap of stuff on table. can now see the table...loll. three loads of washing later babbling and chatting to my bestie.
wow, you rock, my darling. Well done! And pooh on the gym. What business have they cancelling your sessions, lol.
and i had to move my infusion date. it is a three day procedure and the day after my admission i have tickets to the next ballet in the season. am so not gonna miss that one. it is the Ballet de Monte Carlo, performing a very different version of Swan Lake.
wth... rose! I hope this means you moved it back, and not further along.
afraid not honey. he is fully booked.
..... *is speechless*
i am going to start a love affair with endone i think. have warned Don. he is to tell my when i am being scatty/ratty to take the endone. most of the time i don't feel he pain but my behaviour changes.
brb. need to check the dryer.
am baffled. And how much longer are you willing to endure rotten days and nights to pay for that one night of ballet?
and dr John has said not to stretch it out... because you come in exhausted every time...
i know, i know. i love the ballet so much. and i haven't been able see the dancers for so long. this is the first season in nearly ten years. and i can be as stubborn as a mule, you know that. i'll stuff myself full of drugs if i have o.
oh rose
erred
so sorry
*hugs ru* Hello dear man! How have you been?
and yes, you just erred
look honey. i am not crippled with the pain. my brain dosn't recognise it, thank heavens. i guess if i did actually feel the level of pain i have, i would be screaming.
heyya ruru
i'd have made a joke that I didn't know i was consorting with Druggies.. but i can't.. being in pain is really horrible
rose, am sorry but you get exhausted, you will feel very down and you will more or less have to drag yourself back to dr John in the end, I have seen how miserable you get.
besides, seeing the ballet will give me such wonderful memories to think through if it becomes too much.
i have my new diary now. so i cannot double book myself again.
true, ru. Am a chronic pain patient myself and it sucks big time. All the more reason to not postpone a treatment that helps...
and i can always go to the warm waterpool and just sit there.
you are lucky you are on the other end of the world again, rose, because I'd kick your sweet tuches if you were here.
lolll....
nah. You didn't make a smart decision here and you know it.
our government has finally ratified he use of medicinal marihuana but only for the war vets at first.
i do know it. i will be okay, and you know that is true. it's not life-threatening. lots of people worse than i am. like you for a start.
after last infusion, this woman promised me, never ever to go more than 6 weeks between infusions ever again... and here she goes, first possibility!
huh ??? i did ??? i thought i said 12 weeks, which is what dr john keeps telling me.
it may not be life-threatening, but it is quality of life threatening
12 weeks, okay then
yes it is honey. but i am not wheelchair -fast. just need it a few times like when i am expected to walk a long way.
if I had a treatment that helped, rose, I'd make it my first priority, that's for sure.
i don't want to waste the tickets. cost a few more dollars than i expected. and i'm scottish enough to not want to waste money.
all excuses, young lady. Not impressed. But you'll do what you're gonna do anyway, so there we are... don't come to me complaining about misery when you are facing the consequences! *very stern mama look with crossed arms and tapping foot*
okay. *zipping lips and fingers tightly shut* no more whinging.
my day started with a tick bite. Rob removed the darn thing with a tick remover, but a part of the head was left behind. Official tick site says it doesn't matter, the poison is in the body and not the head, but I just want the darn thing out!!! Rob says to just wait, it will come out all by itself. Whaaaaa.
ugh..... a tick ??? yuck.... where were you?
at home, in bed. And I didn't go outdoors at all yesterday, so your guess is as good as mine. I think Rob or Terra must have brought it in. Prolly Terra.
i think pegleg should count
tried that too. Hi hursh.
phantom: elegy
gee whizz honey. that's awful !!
yeah not funny. Will be glad when the last bit comes out, that is for sure. And then we will have to watch the area of the bite for signs of ring forming, and me for fever or weird aches. But since the tick did not empty itself into me, chances are all will be well.
*praying it will be*

i cannot wait to see Nan's comments on this little grid
There could be a Babble Uprising. Imagine Babble Players everywhere shouting "I'm mad as hell, and I'm not gonna take it anymore" out their windows.
there are some very obscure words in this grid i've never ever seen before
The dr7.48 is cool - I have only ever heard it used in the past tense verb form
Hi Trif!
going through the list now. bottom half is not smooth sailing. I am getting some that I've never seen before, but there's a lot I can't even fumble through knowing the points.
there are 2, trif. are you talking 2nd or 1st?
I would guess the more obscure second one.
that was my guess but I've never heard it used in past tense, so I wasn't sure

hello.
Oh dammit, I thought you had won a bunch of money and run off to Paris.
I wish. But I did manage to do this: I put 1.00 in slots last night. Penny slots playing 20 lines. I managed to turn it into 45.00. Not bad. I decided to stop there.
Quit while you're ahead works for me. Hope you had a good time.
not the best not the worst. it was ok.
I think I only spent 200.00 the whole trip.
Not many people can say that about a Vegas trip.
I put my debit card in the safe and did not take it out until this morning.
Did you have any good eats? See any good shows?
the slot app i have been playing for years had enough reward points for 2 buffet meals.. so i ate that for free...
no shows. no interpreters. not worth it . however i did want to see australia men down under..... but.. $$$$$$ lol
I walked a lot. I tried to walk to Trump Casino to spit on it. but after 3 miles in 100 degree sun. i gave up and turned around.
I'm sure the change in scenery and routine did you some good.
that was mostly the reason for me going.. the change of scenery for a few days.
worked on my autobiography journal that i got for my birthday..
Sounds like a good time was had by all, cos.
It might have been more fun with someone else. It was always Ryan's dream to go there. *sigh*.. broke down crying a few times lol
Put your feelings about that in your journal. Write him a letter about your trip and feelings in your journal.
Cos, those journals are nice. They have good writing prompts. But they need to give you more room. At least the ones I have looked at.
its mostly a one sentence or two sentence questions... with a section in back for essay answers.
I staple or clip all sorts of thing to my daily entry. Invitations, letters, cards, schedules...
thats not a bad idea.. if i ever got any :/
not to be a debbie downer but when ryan left.. everyone else did.
A lot of people who have lost a partner experience that Cos. People mean well, but most of them don't like to be around someone who is sad all the time.
Well, Debbie, you just need to pull up your big girl pants and get back out there! Surely there are things in your area for singles to do to meet people.
And speaking of which, have you heard from Jason?
lol yeah its up to me now... im getting there... im better than where i was a few months ago
hell i flew to vegas on my own
i talked ot jason today
There you go. A step in the right direction. And as Bob Wiley says "I feel great, I feel fine, I feel wonderful".
baby steps
I'm sailing! I sail! I'm a sailor! I'm sailing Dr. Leoooooo Marvin! (gee thanks now i want to watch that movie)
I love that movie. Baby steps get on the elevator, baby steps get off the elevator.
i dont blame leo. id go insane too.
“What if I'm looking for a bathroom, I can't find one, and my bladder explodes?â€
although marrying leo's sister was a tad too much ;P

both unusual words yet booth in the grid and both go together
well all craziness has broken out in oregon
The Republicans took their toys and went home. Or into hiding, in this case.
All the State Troopers need to do is follow the Scotch and cigars trail. : D
Ahhh. America.
but then again without America there would be no Las Vegas.
Oh, I thought it was only the America haters who made comments like that. : P
Hey i do hang a flag during holidays :P
What happened in Oregon, l haven't seen the news
republicans refused to vote on climate change bill. so they ran away.. therefore no quorum.. the governor ordered state police to find them and bring them back to vote
Thank you
It's like an episode of The West Wing
Probably caused by something Josh said.
The Democrats did the same thing in Texas several years ago. Can't remember why.
Cos, I don't think you are an America hater. You haven't given up on the whole thing, just because of an administration (like some people claim to have).
"there is nothing wrong with America that cannot be fixed with what is right with America"
I agree with that. And having lived through 11 years of Presidents that I feel have been ineffective, I still have hope and belief.
hello everyone
Hi Nan
I was just reading that in the current US Congress, the party affiliation for women is 89% Democrat, 11% Republican. The racial-ethnic non-whites are 90% Democrat, 10% Republican. It's a startling contrast.
I don’t think Biden has enough to beat Trump. I hope the Democrats come up with a better candidate
I agree Ru, Biden is just not the guy to carry it off. And I would like to see a Republican beat Trump.
And what is weird ch1212 is the fact that in the middle states women voters overwhelmingly voted for the Donald
Even with all his mysoginistic crap
It is weird, ru. My in-laws live in Iowa, and they filter everything through their preconceived and rose shaded memories of what their America "used to be."
There are a lot of women who did not want to see Hilary become the first woman President. Myself included. I want that to go to someone worthy of the job.
I agree, Molly. I'm glad she is not running again, and like Ru said, I hope the Dems will come up with a better candidate than Biden.
too bad Nancy Pelosi isn't 20 years younger
Maybe if we could throw her in the dryer for a bit 😀
I am not a Nancy pelosi fan. But agree she’s got a lot of balls
is there an ex word and if so, could I have a clue please?
2 ex words
my missing 2 from that e
cannot see them
One like the headache medicine
I would never vote for Pelosi. I would have voted for Condoleezza Rice. I was hoping she would be the first black and the first woman President.
She would be interesting, cybernan. It's my uninformed opinion that the Dems will not seriously advance a female nomination this go-round. It would devolve into too much focus on Trump's mysogeny. In a fantasy world, it would be wonderful if all the Dem and Repub candidates kept to the issues, and kept to proven facts. Ah, one can only dream .....
Hey, look at us all having a rational and respectful conversation about politics. !! (kudos all around)
It can be done
I admire Nancy -- I think she is brilliant and she is certainly able to get her point across without raising her voice and without exaggeration.
Historically I have never voted for Pelosi
Do you live in her district, Ru?
It surely can be done as long as people don't slam other people for their beliefs. Or start slamming other countries.
OH! LOL!! Just saw your flag, Ru. LOL!
Yes, Ru has changed his affiliation.
I should have been born in Canada
I live near the Canadian border, and am often surprised at how many Canadian immigrants we have in our area, many who moved here years ago and had their children here. Much like my own family who originally came from Scotland and Ireland.
I'm very attached to the country I have lived in all my life. If I ever decided to move to another country, I would retain my citizenship. I'm a big believer in all the good people who have defended this country's right to its independence.
Ideally I would have two citizenships but that is hard to do at my age
fw for me! Have fun all (*poof*)
*Feels sorry for the old geezer : P
Ru, you are very fortunate to get to retire in such a beautiful place. I'm sure it will be a great start to the next chapter of your life.
molly, in answer to your ?? earlier, I did look up 3, but I got several from clues in the chat, and guessed right at a lot, so there were a lot I didn't know.
