LOL, what ru said. MLF .. it is like a cross between tennis and ping pong and badminton, played with a big whiffleball and paddle on a court smaller than a tennis court - tremendous fun for me
I just started in December and learned the hard way that chosing the right shoes is more important than chosing the right paddle. Was playing in running shoes, with no lateral stability and paid the price by doing a very unladylike swan dive on an outdoor court..

When I lived in the southwest, where it was drier, we had a swamp cooler - simply a fan that blew air over a water-filled pan. It worked.

BTW, do any of you have trouble with a 2 step authentication with Amazon? We have an Alexa, but my son unplugged in a couple months ago & I've moved it and am trying to set it up again. For some reason there is a 2 step authenticator on my account; but It won't work. I tried for over 2 hours & then spent an hour with customer service trying to remove it so I can sign in and set up the Alexa in a different room; still no luck.
i just have a one step? it asks for a PIN code but thats all?
i accidently downloaded a game i don't want to play. i am sure somehow i can uninstall it. Its a game that is part of the computer itself and its from king game page. I have no intentions ot play it. I cant play it anyway online as that page is messed up thanks to my husband. Am i being charged since downloading or if i don't play it and leave it there its okay to do so?
but i dont use alexa so maybe irs different

if there was a cost, and you downloaded it you have to pay the cost but if you didnt set up an account or anything you arent beinh charged for monthly fee if tere is one
Now I had to scan in my drivers license and "in a day or 2" Amazon with "send me a disable code for the authenticator!" All of this just so I can get Alexa to tell hubby the temp!

He actually accused me of wanting to play it.. i didn't respond he should know this is his fault not mine.

Molly, they have my phone number, they just won't call, text, or anything else to give me a code. I had 3 different people trying to help me get past that and nothing worked.

It is not calling you. It is a verification that pops up on your cell phone when you log in.
nef did you try your usual PIN for everyting else?
My insurance company does the same thing. They text me a verification code, to make sure it is me, before letting me log in.
My grandson & his friend used to play games on it; DH uses the temp info since it's hard for him to see the thermometer, and it helps him with spelling. My son insists that "THEY are spying on us." Idon't care one way or another; but I did move it to our front room (which no one uses normally)
course.. if i could hear id prob use it :P
Molly, I've used verification codes for insurance stuff too; it's just Amazon being a PIA for me. (Good thing I'm not trying to BUY something! Then again, that might be the problem; I don't buy stuff from Amazon except 1 or 2 rare items at Christmas).

Yeah, that is probably the problem. You are not a familiar person, frequent buyer, to them. I'm a frequent flyer with Amazon. They know me very well.

Yeah, it was about 50 cows that got swept away. As of this AM, they found about 20 (alive & well); it was 1/3 of the farmers whole herd. :-(

after ryan. the dogs knew.. they knew somehow.. i took out ryan's pendant with his ashes in it and the dogs went absoultely insane... crying barking licking at it.. it was so weird

animals do sense things like that. IDK about them knowing that it the pendant had anything to do with Ryan; but, then again, why not?

My nephew and his wife have a couple acres in North Carolina. They have goats, no kids. My sister refers to them as her grand-goats. : )
my dream is to buy an acre of land in the woods in the middle of nowhere. but close enough for wifi/phone coverage... build a cabin and live with dogs and goats and pigs
