thanx jess. i knew there had to be a my word
good morning all
howdy!
*hugs rbud*
I'm such a wet blanket. Just went out and made the kids and all their guests turn the music down a little - they're outside the house playing that game with the hole in a board and beanbags. And yelling to be heard above the music, something I've never understood the point of.
"kids" - ages 28 and 31, lol
*hugs rbud* Won't hurt them to keep other people in mind!
it's after one n the morning, too, and Sunday night. I always feel grateful the gal across the road hasn't called the cops a hundred times over the years - she leaves between 5:15 and 5:30 for work most mornings. but the noise here has always been on into the nights.
wow, she is a peach!
I figure by now they are either near deaf or have white noise machines, haha
lol
they're the only other people living on our block, really. We have one whole side of the block, no other houses, and across the street is a little Catholic church falling into disrepair, those poor folks, and one other house, empty and condemned.
and yet we barely ever speak to each other.
well bless her for indulging your kids :D
we're also lucky none of her three daughters ever ended up involved with our son... he's kind of a chick magnet. Could have been problematic.
true, dat.
haha, phantom bosum... keeps bugging me.
lol
mine is amoeba
oh, rats, now I'm seeing that, too! :D
:D
it is worse for me. Because the dutch spelling is amoebe and that IS there.
oh, no!
tried it 4 times for looking up the english spelling, lol
hm, where did rose run off to, I wonder... I keep thinking she'll pop up
probably just when I find my last word :D
she was just here, right before you.
get back here, rose!
fireflies. Last word ep7 the piece de milieu. Always forget that one.
congrats!
*hugs* and sleep well, rbud!
*leaves hug in chog for rose to find*
ty, hugs to you as well. :)
Well I have managed to find 62 words. Not a great start but it will have to do until later. Happy babbling everyone!

Never heard of the word for centerpiece before. Can't claim to forget it since it is unfamiliar to me. : D
Well this is very weird. There are words in my word list that I didn't enter and are not in the grid. concrete, mink, weight, gesture..and my points says NaN pts
A refresh got rid of that but it was odd

Good clue, Molly.
oh, we've got one of the million spellings of cat sounds
pe6, please and still need the os6 didn't get the clue that was given.
there wasn't one given if you're talking about me. I was referring to the ep7. I don't have os6.
OK then I feel less stupid, thanks
os6 - a bag used when you have part of your gut removed.
LOL, just found it and was going to use a similar clue
thanks
pe6 is like the Brit word for gasoline
does the os7 work off the of 6 even though it comes before it?
thanks
yeah, think of a tumor
so it is just the last two letters that change
well, there's an extra vowel thrown in and last letter is changed

And for all you gardeners, the forget me not is a member of the my7 family. Your useless bit of trivia for the day.
ty pen
yw...
didn't know the word....just monkeyed it....i am NOT a gardener...
what is the plant?
molly said that the forget me now is a member of the my 7 family....
You are not familiar with forget me nots?
yes, just not the family....
No, I meant Bichon. And I like "forget me now". It's like the opposite of forget me not. You give them to someone when you're breaking up with them. : D
no, I don't have them in my garden
lol....
I don't have them in my garden either, but I have heard of them. Kind of a unique name.
They do best growing near streams, in shade
well i am done....i was hoping for a larger grid today....
Forget me nots are of the Borage family. Because of the name they were incorporated in cards sent to soldiers, particularly in WWI, and were given in brooches to sweethearts in Victorian times.
My grandfather's favorite flower :-)
My grandmother planted lots in his memory .....
hello
pen me too
I guess when you say "family" and "genus" it is two different things when it comes to plants. My7 is the genus.
the actually word ends in s not e
What word?
my 7
If you look at the whole definition is says "also my7"
I saw it as spelled with an s but that wouldn't work in the grid
yous
nope.
If you scroll down while looking at the definition, an alternate spelling of my7 is given that works in the grid.
dont like this grid
Hiyas, kiddos.

An os6? There is no os word that is six letters long that ends with that suffix
it is os 6 27. on my word list.
Oh, okay, that is a procedure.
right. not seeing the other one
tough grid for me.
There was a song in the '80s or '90s with the chorus "Sending forget me nots, to help you to remember" - that's probably how I learned of them. I always thought that was particularly insightful.
I know that song! Patrice Rushen!
Ha! I feel like a genius for finding a 7 letter word on my own that ru gave up on. :D
Well done!
*clever, not insightful. I couldn't think of the word. Although, it was insightful, too, I suppose. :)
Clue please for the EP 7?
En5, please?
Ooo, Car is like Shrevie in "Diner". I bet she knows what label it was on and what was on the flip side too.
rectal clean out
Yeah. I just figured that out.
No, I do not...not that good LOLOLOL

Weird to have en5 and os6 in the same grid.

"theme" days happen more often than you would think they would
ty molly, got it
they do kind of rear up at you hokie
Really? Theme days? Do we have to dress up?
I can't wait for the Mrs. Field's Cookie theme day
no, just days where I see words that don't have the same root but are still connected. for instance, one day we had north, east, and west.
*Wonders if it's time for Carla to pursue some interests other than Babble
it's possible
today the theme is poop related
where's BR when you need him?
Ru, thanks for that Mrs. Fields comment. I will be cleaning up the water for quite some time.
LOL
Didn't Babble used to accept the Hebrew words for days?
it takes random bits of hebrew, yiddish, scots, arabic, and more.
spanish, french
I can't Believe the Y word! And hello everyone
It sounds like Canarsie

good morning/afteroon everyone :)
Bea feels about her kitchen timer the way I feel about my alarm clock. I would take great pleasure in shooting it.
Reminds me of the episode of Bones where Booth shoots out the annoying speaker on the ice cream truck. I would take great pleasure in that too. Especially the ice cream truck that drives around my neighborhood playing Little Brown Jug.
i remember seeing a video of someone mad at their computer and like throwing it out a window and then going out and taking a sledgehammer to it, lol
won't be doing that for a while -- I think computers have become a victim of the trade wars -- noticed yesterday that the ones that used to sell for around $600 are now $1000
When we got rid of our old Nextel cell phones, my boss wanted to have a cell phone smashing party in the parking lot. : D
You must be talking about Macintosh computers Nan
no -- all of them
the one I saw was an asus
we sell the raw materials to the usa - Trump slaps on his tariffs then the finished product is sold back to canadian companies and Trudeau slaps on his retaliatory taxes -- consumer pays for the nonsense
