Yes, I think so Molly.
It has probably been clued differently though.

I've stalled at 49...I was off clearing my mind in My Black Hole.
interesting
I haven't been here long but struggling already. I only have 59.
Sorry, I have 47 left.
phantom: inebriate
similar to my phantom berate
Carla, do you read Kristen Hannah?
no, what kind of books?
She wrote The Nightengale which was historical fiction.
I think really the only historical fiction I've read is the Outlander series. I'm more into mysteries.
My favorite historical fiction author is William Martin.
I want to read Outlander although I consider it historical fantasy.
you are probably right about that, historical fantasy
am halfway through the first Outlander book at present
Yes, I am a mystery fan too.
I only made it through book 5 I think
That it is, Bea. But, I think the show is better
Molly, I will have to look for his books.
daughter gave me the series a couple of years ago and I finally got "into" it
We listened to The Nightengale on audio on a road trip one year. Loved it.
just checked William Martin, the gold rush one looks good.
I don't usually like war related things
Bichon, Mr. Bea is watching the series. Daughter said the series is good, but the books were better.
which The Nightingale appeared to be?
I like WW1 and WW2 era historical.
I only watched one season of Outlander. books are always better IMO. the books also span a much longer time period. I noticed the current season is Am. Revolution and that's about where I stopped reading, but they are in their 50s or so in the books when that takes place.
The Nightengale is WW2, it is more about the French Resistance than the war itself. If that makes sense.
One of the books I'm currently reading is Will the Cat Eat My Eyeballs. =) Non fiction written by a mortician about death and the questions she is asked. Written with humor and facts.
wow
am on waiting list for "Where the Crawdads Sing" and "The Educator"

is the 9 a compound word?
the fo words are variant spellings of that weird word for an Alpine wind
The 9 builds of of te7 - stress
the 9 is not a compound, it's an extension of te7
It is not a compound word, mlf.

a clue please?
I guess your other 2 are the yo's?
it is a south african tree if that helps. will try to think of another clue.
the ye is my last one
think of an/a * tea, but drop the last letter and change the first letter to the one you need
sweet? pekoe? some kind of tea?
The * for a word thing is confusing
do you have another clue, molly?
for the * its not a spice its an h...
Nan try y + last three of a medicinal plant like St. Johns Wort + vowel
ty toad and molly
see the tea connection now -- lol - not something I drink - it's earl grey for me!
*!*~*!* thanks for the help everyone :)
sorry, I don't drink any kind of tea but that's all I could think of for that adj.
The funny thing is, the word means a kind of tea
I know, that must've been why that was in my mind
it has been in the grid before, but I didn't know the def
you had it in the bag hokie
on my way - hagd everyone
and I said an/a because we don't pronounce the h in that word, but England does, so I didn't know about Canadians!
can't talk about teabagging
oh, that's ice cold
just trying to lipton the chat
just leave it all here
I was going to clue it with Mr. Albert of the Tijuana Brass, but I can never count on Nan to know mainstream music
this is steeped in dark humor
don't sugar coat it
And I didn't think a marijuana reference would work either.
and I didn't want to call medicines that
ni
People use those in medicinal ways and have for a long, long time.

i am done....an interesting grid, I thought....
Congrats!
ty...
I often wonder about descriptions of the grid as "interesting"
Or "fun". I truly never find them "fun"
well it had some familiar and some unusual words....and most were findable (to me)...so it wasn't too frustrating...
if you don't find it fun, why do you play?
Because they are challenging. And they test my word and vocabulary knowledge.
ditto....i often dislike the really small grids....
i am also compulsive, so I usually finish grids....
well i am heading out....goodnight all....
Goodnight Pen, hope you have a good evening.
ty, molly....really leaving now....was on the phone...
