Does anyone have a link to babble expert please?
not I
No, I’m a mac user. I think it’s only windows.
CyberNan had mentioned it.
check Lickety's Babble Clues link on this page
as I recallI had to email Lickety & he sent the program for download but its been years... he might have changed it
Already did that and couldn't see anything.
Lickety’s page only has his email and says too email him to get it but someone posted a link here not too long ago so maybe they’ll see this
Thanks for responding everyone; I guess I'll have to ask Nan.
Clues are up
raini?? try and find sprite's profile. i think she has the link there.
Thanks Rose.
Rose, have you heard anything about Ruby?
I still can't email her.....puter won't take the address. Wonder if it has been disconnected?
no peach. but this morning, my time, origami said she was playing a word game with Ruby earlier.
OH GOOD!
Molly can't get through either. i emailed soodle who has Ruby's phone number, and asked her to please try and call Ruby.haven't heard back from her either.
Thanks, hon. Please let me know if you hear.
brb
np's honey. will do
Grannyrose - how is sprite? I've not been online, lately.
christine, as far as i know she is okay. she is very busy with her volunteer work. she was here in chat last flip, but i missed her... mwah....
Yikes - I found Sprite's profile, got the url but when I tried to open it, my computer locked up tighter than a miser's wallet! Oh well........
oh dear. sorry for that rain. may be better if you email lickety then.
Thanks a bunch Rose.
i did say sorry. didn't know sprite's link would do that.
I wasn't being sarcastic, I was thanking you for trying to help me.
*hangs head* is it okay to come out of the naughty corner then?
oh fer cryin out loud, You were never in the naughty corner, lol
lolll... *hand-springs out of naughty corner and licks raini's feet* good... didn't like naughty corner, no chocolate.
Umm, I'm wearing socks
*spitting fluffy bits* ewww
Chocolate sounds good though - we don't have CV in my city yet but everyone is still staying in and I forgot to buy any.
I leave you people, for less than a year, and you stop stocking the penalty box with choclit, abd cabana boys?
I know eh?
*pokes bar of chocolate through chat* here's some. it has crispies in it.
Why thank you kindly !!!
it's all car-lee's fault. she's never here with her pom-poms and choclits.
someone poke car-lee. i want pom-poms
It wasn't that long ago that someone had to tell me what PB stood for cause I thought it meant peanut butter
peanut butter.... yum yum....honey....fresh white bread without a shred of goodness in it....yum yum.
whatcha talkin about - fresh white bread is the food of the gods
most peeps don't know that whole wheat bread has more sugar than white
yeah i heard that. and they add colouring to the dough to make people think that they are eating something wholesome.
My bed is calling my name - good night Rose, it's been fun !
xox raini. sweet dreams honey
Thanks a bunch, LOL !!!
no sprite yet i see. will check in again later.
good morning babblers
yay !!!!i waited and waited. *SMOOOOOCH* MY DARLING
*hugssssss* hello dear friend, so good to see you at last
*major happy sigh*
how did the community luncheon go?
darling, how have you been? how are the plans for the tiny house going? are you and Rob still talking?
last one for some time honey. we have to close due to this wretched covid-19.
{{{{{{{HHUUUGGGGSSSSS}}}}}}}}
let me see... rob is okay, I had the flu and am now down with pneumonia, we put the tiny house on hold, we will move to another place around april 1st and then continue planning. And we are still talking :D
{{{{{{{ KKKIIIISSSSS }}}}}}
AAAGGGHHHH...... do you need to be tested??
tim's university has closed, they have cancelled all exams and therefore tim is promoted to next year without exams. He will come back to holland soon, unless there is a lockdown.
do you have any where in particular you are thinking of moving to? hope he makes it home before the borders are closed.
nah, they are short on tests and save them for the really serious ones. It looks like it was indeed the corona flu, seeing how I got a flu shot and how sick I was and also the symptoms. But I have been good, stayed home, did not infect others. Right now the flu has passed, but of course with my rotten health, I got bacterial infections afterwards.
yes we found a place for the summer. In bakkum. A mini camping, very nice.
are you and Don still flu free?
.... squirrel... :D :D
oh my honey. neighbour just phoned worried and making sure i am okay.
aw that is sweet. Is Don behaving?
yes don and i are flu-free. going up to Hervey Bay tomorrow, in Queensland. small coatal town, fresh air, sunshine and the sea just about on the doorstep.
oh that is great, honey. Just what you need.
he is better. i am going to talk to him while we are away. neutral territory and all that. you know the drill.
oh yeah. I will be with you in spirit, my friend.
pneumonia is quite common with this virus sweetheart. it is what is killing the elderly with all their age related disorders. any sunshine, get youself out in it.
sunshine, fresh air, and gentle exercise all recommended towards a good recovery.
mwah, not much sun here yet. I have my window open as often as I can, so fresh air - check. Exercise... does coughing my ass off count? ;)
btw, sweetheart. i have had a devastating email from Ruby. she said goodbye to me. this time i think it is for real. she is too weak to leave her bed and she now has Hospice in the Home care. honey, you have every reason to not think well of her, but please, for my sake, pray that her passing will be easy for her.
gentle exercise sweetie, out in the fresh air. this virus hates fresh air, and sunshine. a slow stroll as far as the canoe club and back. that's all. 2-3 times/day.
sweetheart, she is in my prayers every day. I don't go for resentment.
bless you darling. i thought that would be the way you would go.
of course. *hug*
my relationship with Dan, Lisa and little Sophia continues to blossom. Sophia and i colour and/or paint together when i go over there. i have bought tubes of watercolour paint. i plan to teach her ho to mix her own colours.
*how*
ohhhh priceless :D
whew! have nearly finished packing my suitcase. just my carry on bag to do. it is only a three hour flight and it is direct from Melbourne to Brisbane, the capital of Queensland.
sounds very good, darling.
and here comes dinner. honey, will check in tomorrow from Queensland after the flip...
enjoy. *hugsssss*
love, love, love you to pieces. please take good care of my soul-sister. she is very precious to me.
I am being careful, sweetie, promise.
Enjoy, Rose.
Hope you get wll soon, Sprite â¤
So sad about ruby
what happened to Ruby?
She is on hospice care with terminal cancer.
ooses
how did I do that!! Think cat walked on keyboard
Good morning, Deeha.
good morning bzz how are you?
I'm well, thanks.
Went to supermarket this morning. They were annpuncing only three of any item. Too late for that the shelves have been empty for days.
Yes, I went yesterday. Nothing there.
And the store I went to had recieved three trucks of the day before.
heard a story today-dont know if its true-about a couple who were hoarding 180 packets of toilet rolls. When they were out their three dogs got in and ripped them all to shreds. Hope thats true!!
LOL!
owse
sorry I did it again
Good morning, my Babble friends, and a special prayer for "Ruby Tuesday." May you go to the blessed reward you so richly deserve in peace and in comfort. You are loved by many, my "exotic french girlfriend." I will remember you always and hold a piece of you in my heart always.
hopefully theres just you and me here!
not finding this grid easy today
Great story Deeha. What goes around, comes around, yeah? : D
in this case happily yes!
I hope this experience teaches grocery stores to enforce a "three per person" rule all the time. I see people in stores all the time, loading their carts with sale items. I can't figure out why someone needs to buy ten 12 packs of Coke at a time. Seriously?
I'm with you, Molly. Most often they do have a limit if it is a really good sale. I got 4 12 packs of Dr. Pepper last week for 2.77 each. I can only usually get it on sale for 3.39. I don't drink the stuff, but my mom does.
Another thing I find interesting about the empty shelves at the grocery store...I stand behind people in line all the time and their carts are loaded with soda, chips, frozen pizza, snack cakes, etc Then they take out their EBT card.
they must all be on a diet!!
These last couple of weeks, The shelves of those items are still well stocked. Like, now they decide to eat healthy?
lunchtime! see you all later
Yeah Bea, I don't get it either. The typical loaded grocery store cart here on the day before a major snow storm is loaded with ice cream, frozen pizza, chips and other junk food.
23 left...Lots to do today...Back later.
Awwww crossy
Good morning, all. So sad to read of Ruby's health decline. I pray for her and wisher her God speed.
i really wanted a bigger grid
... why not ask for the "744" grid again? ...
it would keep us busy that's for sure
hi dose
... g'morning
this one is complicated enough to keep me busy :)
nbt
is the wh7 from the bottom wh?
good morning all I have aready been to 3 food markets right when they opened. the first was mobbed! the 2nd not so bad. and the last was crowded but not as bad as the first. none had toilet paper but Ihave enough for now.
peri, did you find anything were buying?
... did you check at the service counter?? ... Haven't seen toilet paper on the shelves for a while but I found two places which would give you a package of toilet paper from behind the counter if you asked at the customer service counter.
that's interesting dose
... I was just wandering around the aisles picking up stuff when I spotted someone with a package in her cart. As I had already gone past the empty shelves I asked her where she found it.
pretty much
worth buying sorry
dose they should be careful that might cause a frenzy liol
Has anyone used any food delivery services like Door Dash, etc.? I am torn. I want to patronize the area restaurants that are closed to dine-in service but are offering delivery. However, I still question the quality of sanitization they may (or may not) be using).
... The other thing I noticed the other day was the sign at the end of the row and says what is in the row has removed the word "toilet paper" completely. It's like the stuff never existed.
that is a concern Judi
'morning, all
I didn't even know any of them were in service to do so?
morning welk
plus you pay for the food as well as the service
lol dose that's so people will stop looking or asking probably
* breaks out air guitar * " TP wasteland! It's only TP wasteland!"
i feel the same way as you, judi
Can someone please clue the lone E in the second column?
peri yeah very expensive..i am not even sure drive thru is safe?
My daughter is worried about mail service...can it carry the virus?
es4
phae the last I heard was no it cant be carried
el4/4
BUT I also think the mail carriers should have gloves on just to be sure
i spray the postal guy with bleach when he comes up the walkway
you can drive yourself nuts, phaeton - how about cash? the take-out coffee cup. at some point, you either have to just do the best you can, or live in a bubble. i'm leaning towards the bubble.
... there are three common restaurant delivery services around here: Uber Eats and Skip the Dishes and there's another one. Their drivers all show up at the restaurant with a large insulated bag and pick up your food in the pre-packaged containers from the restaurant. If you trust the restaurant I don't think you got anything to worry about from the drivers.
read the mail, then wash your hands
i haven't been getting much mail lately though :D
lol. It's maddening. Mail, grocery shopping, door handles, etc., etc. We're all doomed.
ruru we don't get much mail
i had a tele-appointment with a doc yesterday - he faxed my prescription to the pharmacy, but wanted to know if i could have someone pick it up. hearing that i am 'high risk' from him put this thing into a whole new light for me
well, according to the experts, at least 50 % of us are doomed.
Fortunately it won't be life threatening to the vast majority
I agree...I think she is concerned about the baby in the house. We have quarantined our selves as we MAY have been exposed last week.
welk so what are yu going to do about the prescription ?o
my pharmacy has a drive thru window - so either my husband or i will pick it up later
Phae how?
I love the bunny with a pancake on his head. welki. were you a member of the Sark forum years ago?
welk thank goodness
soot
oops
ty phae
So far, I've been from home to work, to the pet food store and to the pharmacy. This social distancing thing sucks. Have to hit the grocery store this weekend. Soooo looking forward to THAT.
thanks, peri - and no, not a member
when I left to go to the first store it was dark and foggy
I will be back...
It was a great group and that is where I learned about Babble :0
... No we're not ... there has been this tulip in the front garden of my house which hasn't been watered or fertilized or been taken out of the garden after blooming for 24 years. I dug up the garden last summer in my annual attempt to get around to doing something with it. I threw out all the old dead bulbs I could find. .... .... It bloomed again this year .... ... how it survives I have no idea ... but it does ... .... so will we
Great story, dose. Superbulb!
As far as food delivery, I think they are taking the usual sterile precautions. You run a risk with anything. A ton of people have handled your groceries before you buy them. Then there is the cart you touch, the payment machine you touch, etc. Do your best to stay germ free, but you can't obsess about it.
True, Molly. Paranoia will destroy ya.
Car doors, doors to buildings, elevator buttons, unless you go around in latex gloves, you are exposed.
i have been wearing latex gloves shopping
*paranoia strikes deep, into your life it will creep....* where's the buffalo springfield when you need them>?
Back to my question, the e you clued is from the first column. I need the one from the lone E in the 2nd column
el 4/4
And...this thing is respiratory, so it can transfer airbourne.
Are you wearing a mask too, Ru?
girl...what el4 do you need?
whisht
i have gloves in the house, considered wearing them shopping and then figured i'd probably touch my face with the gloves - hard habit to break
no.. not a mask...
dang!
i think the only way for me to stop touching my face is to put on the cone of shame :)
Ah got it now, before you clued ES 4, thank you!
sorry for confusing you :-)
What color cone are you getting, welki?
clear, so i can at least see where i'm going - but will dress it up with rhinestones and ribbons
I would need a cone of shame too. I am constantly touching my face.
Hang Christmas lights on it too, welki
wow - my grocery store is installing plexiglas shields to protect cashiers
better a neon sign - 'DO NOT ENTER'
that is a good idea.
Good strategy.
found ou7 help with other 7's pls
clue for wh7?
I will definitely wear a mask while grocery shopping. Gloves, pffth. Will use hand san when I get back in the car.
se7 pls
I keep hand sanitizer in the car but was doing that before all of this
and I keep some in my pocket book too
wh7 is something you might say if you forgot a name or a name of something - reminds me of dr. seuss (sorry, hard to clue without spelling it out)
do you have the virus Judi? if not apparently the mask is not useful
does it have anything to do with the wh6 before it?
which W does it come from pls
it's sort of useful, peri - will keep fingers off mouth and nose
bottom one, peri
I wore glove
bottom W
and no, has nothing to do with another word, but starts the same
No. Virus free. Just want to protect myself from breathing in what might be coughed or sneezed out by others.
thanks
actually wore two gloves
not seeing the wh7 help with se7pls

A nice sunny day will be cheerful and restorative for those cooped up in self-quarantine (especially with kids). My mother used to tell us to go outside and "get the stink blown off of us".
tyvm peri
good mornig everyone - hope you are all staying healthy
hi all. all good here
meant Hi, Nan, all good here
t will be a long 2 weeks here -- our premier has requeste tht everyone who can stay at home for the next 2 weeks. Pretty much all businesses that require socializing have shut down - As my hairdresser said when she phone to cancel my appointment, "Now we find out what colour everyone's hair really is"
I'm stuck on the Hi7. Clue, please?
still missing a 7
what you might do poorly with a gun
Oops. NM. Just found it. Typical. Firetwerps!
not getting the clue for hi7
what a gun fighter might do on a quick draw
compound word - body part + unit of alcohol consumption
Where to quickly shoot from when you draw your gun from your holster.
... ends with past tense of "firing a gun"
was just thinking of that, ty dan and dose
and judi
Off to do some real work. SEe all you crazy kids tomorrow. Stay healthy and drink your hand sanitizer. Oh wait...
and amelu

will have a G&T later today
Nan, that is funny about hair color. I guess I should be grateful that I recently had mine done. I do need a pedicure though, but that isn't going to happen for a while.
Well, a bit of good news in all this. The tax filing deadline has been extended from April 15 to July 15.
yeah..but we still have to pay quarterlies in April and June
morning all
hi mool
happy friday
every day this week to me was friday
Same here Molly and I guess we should all invest in a company that makes headbands :D I was all set for a cut and a perm.
the woman who cuts my hair canceled as she was (could be still) stuck in Europe
that was a week and a half ago before this mess blew up
half way - wonder where the other 54 words are coming from
Love it! A man in Cyprus is using a drone to walk his dog while he is in quarantine. -)
The pictures are hysterical.
Hee hee
luckily I'm in the growing out stage of my hair.
I could use a haircut
Have also been doing my own coloring and have a couple of boxes on hand.
it's okay to go outside the line shoke
also have some bright colors I have been wanting to try. no time like the end of the world.
I wish my daughter-in-law lived closer - she used to give me the best haircuts. Calgary is a little far to go...
I have 30 left this morning thanks to insomnia
41 left here - not easy
57 left for me
37 - maybe a break is in order
ty for the ou6/7
ty for the hi 7
down to 18
I got distracted, but knew you would fly by, moo. 27 here.
I thought outro was a thing in music (opp. of intro) but I guess I am making that up.
it is, but it's a new word
If ever there was a case for efficacy of mass vaccinations this is it --- maybe the no vaccinationers will wake up.
I doubt it, they are deep in on the not believing science
this is like the measles and polio epidemics of the past
I thought maybe outro was too new, but even my computer tried to change it when I typed it here.
is there more than one au word?
nope
hmm
All of California is ordered to stay home now.
people who booked the Arlo Guthrie concert are exempt :D
Ha! That reminds me I need to cancel my hotel reservation and get a refund on the tickets.
but they all have to wear masks and gloves :D
made it to 17
wd - 20 here and listing
that will make it hard to drink and smoke ;)
i made it to 7 hokie.. then gave up and listed
wow, well done
I am running out of things to try so I guess I'll list
i have too much to do today... oh wait.. i don't :D
:D
my refrigerator is making a rumbling noise I informed my landlady and she told me she does not have money to buy me another. I have paid for two venetian blinds to be replaced and my rent is going up $40 starting in April. Not sure what I want to do
these days aren't very different from my regular days
tough time to move right now. do you have to sign a year lease or can you go month to month?
try to get it repaired for now peri
if it's still keeping cold, I would just try to ignore the rumbling for now
Wow, peri - I am sure she is obligated to repair it if it breaks.
ooh, just saw another before starting the list. I still have 8 4's left, so I should be able to get those.
she is but says she has no money and I believe her
now on the list. I swear I tried to see any ao words and could not. :<
it was bought 2nd hand. not sure If we can get repair man during these times and she will probably not have money for that either. it is very upsetting to me
well hopefully it will keep on cooling and just be loud
I agree with hokie - wait until you absolutely have to.
i would think it is the landlord's responsibility to make sure it's working
I think most rentals come with a fridge but do they have to? I guess it depends on what's in the lease. and maybe if you rented with that included it would have to continue to be included.
so many eye roll words today
it's like I couldn't see any twists and turns
Peri no offense to your landlord (because I think you two are friends) but she should not be renting if she does not have a line of credit for such emergencies.
stuck o the wh 7
I think if a fridge is there when you move in, the landlady is obligated to replace it.
yeah, I just got to that one. had to skip 2 6's that may have similar ending.
wh double vowel + not ro
*bro
lol, thanks. I could not figure out what not ro could mean.
ty bichon - would never have thought of that. *!*~*!*
well done, nan
hagd everyone - stay healthy

just saw rachel ray make irish nachos. sounds like a good use for leftover corned beef.
it's foggy, warm anfd very quiet here. time for a walk soon.

whatchamacallit and wh7.48, often in my vocab., lol.. fw.. did you get the first wh6, hokie?

yes, that is fireworks for me.
now off to do a workout
yay.. and congrats also.. time to grocery shop!
hello again
nice going hoke, still 9 left here for me
work calls et al, not sure why they insist on including me :)
hello all
stats for the bottom O please?
It's a 4 letter word, and obvious once you see it ;)
I only have one of them though
The two ow4's from the bottom o are anagrams of each other.
Matty, matty was in the grid the other day but not an accepted word
You watching the News, Matty? All bars, restaurants, cafes, clubs & gyms closing this evening in the UK.
We have curbside cocktail pickup. How can that be a good idea?
How does that work Gramma - like an ice-cream truck?
i wonder what took the UK so long to come to that decision?
I don't know what they're thinking. You place your order, pull up and honk.
that's just nuts gramma
I am all for cocktails but this idea can't be good.
Wow, that's weird, gramma
I went to the store this morning to get some cash from the ATM machine. Police are guarding the stores here now.
The curve of infection here & in the UK wildly surpasses that of Italy. I work in the Coroners Service & we are currently making arrangements for temporary mortuarys at army bases, because existing facilities in hospitals will be inadequate for the anticipated number of deaths. It is terrifying.
It is terrifying, soodle. Be safe.
If I get the virus & die - so what? But I fear for my kids, beloved grandson & the next generation. What sort of world will it be for those who survive this pandemic? Economic ruin, & the terror of the next virus to strike. It's jaw-dropping.
I think this will be the end of the small town centre as we know t. II live in a t
small town where older people are in the majority. Small shops will just die from lack of trade
We haven't experienced something like this, but our parents and grandparents did, with the great influenza pandemic that killed millions. Or the yellow fever pandemic that did the same in the U.S. Before that, it was the native populations being devastated to near extinction from white colonizers introducing new diseases. It is a terrifying scenario, and we who live in industrialized countries are in better shape to deal than those in third world countries. This will change the cultural and economic landscape before there is a vaccine. The best we can do is take individual responsibility to practice good hygiene, self quarantine, and love the people we love even more than usual. And pray. I have a friend who works with World Vision, and has first hand experience seeing entire villages and towns affected by epidemic outbreaks of Ebola and Marburg.
sorry so long. I meant to erase that last paragraph...
not too long. thoight provoking
fireworks! That's ii she wr5,18.
congrats clg!
I am in my 60s and doing home schooling for a 5 year old with special needs, 2nd and 4th grade. All their parents can work still. this is wearing me out. prayers for all.
{{{ respect and hugs to anawaltgal }}}
thanks
Agreed, ch1212. I think the reset button will be pushed after this. And, well done anawaltgal. You are contributing to the cause. Well done.
My husband and son contracted Lyme this past summer and are still dealing with the repercussions of that. They joke that Corona goes great with Lyme!
See you all tomorrow. I went faster than a virus through this grid.
lol! thanks for the smile, gramma
I am getting a new refrigerator tomorrow. I am not paying for it
stuck with 43 left
nice, peri!
any clues for any 7s? and stats please. ty.
hi7 = often replaced joint + an injection
ou6 = to oar better than someone else. Add S for ou7.
se7 = plural of a teetertotter
ty. got the hi and se. i dont see the ou.
not in + what an oar help you to do
hmm, just accidentally took a bite of, chewed up, and swallowed a little mold on some bread, yuck! it tasted bad afterwards. Tossed the rest of the slice. Think I"ll live?
..to paddle better than someone else
Natural antibiotic :)
Yes, it will likely be killed off in your stomach with the acidity.
oh, good to hear - at least it wasn't rye, I'd have maybe had a flashback. ;p
Speaking of acidity, what is going on is driving my acit reflux into overdrive.
What are the stats for the 4th 7
I hear that, I have to drive Son to work and go get him every day, and I try never to have to get out of the car. But this is maybe moot since he's interacting with who knows who all day.
STress, sukee.
Yep, outwardly I am handling it
Wh7/48
Working on a bit of meditation each day :)
Unless you are eating different foods.
Well...I do have some chocolate chip cookies and coffee seems to bug me more now.
I didn't understand this morning's clues for wh7.
Got clues?
Chocolate and caffeine are known triggers of heartburn.
I know :) And I am also not getting as much exercise.
do you have the wh6, screabs?
starts the same and ends with abbreviated female sibling
Ah ha! Got it, ty welkie
No wh6 but I just found wh7 on the 7-letter word list
19 left, see you all later.
Very balanced view on things CH12. I prefer that to predictions of ruin, panic and terror.
Hello, friends. Back for the last 23 words.
Hello, Bea
psises
sorry
I have been out all day...Helping in a garden and then tryinbg to find provisions...
Good luck with that! People are acting very selfishly if you ask me.
i refuse to participate in that madness. I bought just the items i need and left stuff for others to buy.. this is totally overboard. So much good food is going to go to waste with all these crazy people on hoarder overdrive
I think I have hit the coronavirus lottery...I got some toilet paper and paper towels, bread, milk, eggs, chicken breasts, and fresh veg. I took what I knew we would use in the next couple of weeks and no more. Even though stores were saying I could have more than what I was taking.
Agreed, Ruru. If people just shopped normally there would be enogh as usual.
I agree, ru. It is ridiculous the way people are carrying on...
i'm leaving coronavirus emergency wine packages for all my restaurant owners to enjoy at home
You whining again, Ruru :D
If so put a cork in it :D
my local grocery store has a special one hour access to the store for seniors before the hordes of attila hit the shelves
Yeah they are doing the same here too.
I felt really guilty about buying paper towels. I bought a package of six. But my thought was, "I can make my own wipes with diluted clorox...
Good idea, Bea. Save you money too!
Yes, they are doing that here too, but our hours for senior shopping are from 6-7am. Why do they have to get out that early? Ridicuolous.
they are saying the paper product shortages should be resolved in a week and a half
Boots chemists here are only allowing five people in at a time. The queue is getting longer each day I go past.
I'm going to pick all of the ripe clementines off my tree for the neighborhood kids. There are far more than I could use and one of the neighbors has 5 kids and they aren't getting paid. Sigh.
Nice of you, Origami.
is that a pharmacy zooz ?
Yes, Ruru.
ah.. thought so
boot chemists in SF mean something entirely different :D
If it is not too rude then could you enlighten me as I have no idea what else it would mean?
think gay leather bars zooz .. :D
Oh Hahaha!
Ori, that is so nice of you. So many old and young in my neighborhood. I do what I can.
WH 6/36 not heard of that word before.
What about wh7/48...LOL! That is a weird one.
do pet owners get to go over Rainbow Bridge when they die?
Yep saw a clue for that earlier and you are right another weird word.
wh7 is a stupid word
I sure hope so Peri. I have so many of my babies I want to see.
me too
You do a LOT Bea!
39 left and stuck again. may not finish. ranking is going down but I do not care
Thanks, ori.
Nearly thirteen million points, Peri! That is a huge amount I am sure you deserve to relax now and again lol I have over seven million points lol
Would be nice to convert that into cash!
1 point = 1 pounds/ dollar
After me being silly I have finished!
Happy babbling everyone! Please stay safe.
Well, once we get all the paper products back and the food re-stocked, we are going to be dealing with people who are not generating any income who can't afford the food that is now available. THAT Is when we need to try and help others when we can.
Most certainly, Molly.
I hope all those people who hoarded more than they needed will donate to food banks and other folks who make sure people can eat.
i have been doing all i can for the community, but i'm not making any money right now either
I was just reading about the relief checks that may be going out. It's not nearly enough to cover the expenses of most families.
I bet your wine care packages are really appreciated, ru..
wish i could deliver to sacramento.. :D i'd get arrested on the highway getting there :D
I might have to make a clandestine trip to Napa :D
i was wondering why didn't this virus generate in Madagascar with Tenrecs and we'd all be in better shape :D
just sent everyone a funny email
sw6?
to enter a ballroom with a flowing gown sw6
That IS funny. I wonder how long it takes to sprout ...
i think i'll go pull more weeds.. i'm making progress on thhem
I'm still over-run with them.
god.. it was like overnight here.. no weeds and then a jungle in one day
Pulling weeds is such a mundane, normal thing to do at times like this. I tell myself I will just work enough to fill a 5 gallon bucket. Before I know it, I have fille three buckets and have almost solved all the world's problems. =)
I'm off to work on dinner...Until tomorrow...
thank God there isn't an M in the grid. Can you imagine all of the cat talk that would be going on?
ok.. that does it.. Amelu.. you are officially a word nerd :D
LOL!
fireworks!
me, too. I'm out! Have a great whatever until the flip!
bye amel
ho6/21 pls
plural peri
My hands are starting to acquire a strange sheen.
ty ori
I think you mean ru, peri
My hands are as dry as can be what with all the extra washing and sanitizer
Ooo, the changing of the guard.
glad i have some regular towels around here.. i'm just about out of paper ones
I snagged some paper towels on Amazon right before they went "currently unavailable"
Now you can't get flour on Amazon. Flour? Seriously? I didn't know most people know what to do with flour.
I really wish I had some alcohol so I could make some hand sanitizer.
flour's used by cats to distribute footprints around your house
Hello. Here in greater downtown Washington State things are sunny and bright. Apparently the spring weather brought out lots of people to sun themselves at the park. We will go to a secluded area for the afternoon dog walk.
twisp
snowing here right now
I keep writing guesses for the grid here in this box. Too out of practice to be in polite society.
but there were some dogwalkers out earlier when I did my walk
I have flour and yeast, so at least I will have bread!
indeed, might make some bread tomorrow
I make bread for us using yeast. I also like Irish Soda Bread. We put raisins in for extra fanciness.
Your house will smell sooo good.

two of them are w's...which is fun
3 to go
wouldn't the person who is being wooed be the wooee?
I keep bread flour and yeast around, so I can make bread while the hoarders hoard. Good luck to them when all that bread they have hoarded starts getting moldy.
my garage fridge decided to break down this week, which is a bit annoying, but not the end of the world
Wow, Peri's fridge is acting like it's going to die. Not a good week for Babble players trying to store food.
yeah, the compressor went on it...not worth repairing on this particular fridge, so will wait out the craziness and then go look for a new one at that point
2 words left...both ws
i am done.....some weird words in this one...
As usual, weird words are what make people play Babble. Good night Pen. I won't say "stay safe" because that is getting WAY over used. I hope you avoid any complications from this virus.
Hello to my fellow babblers! How is everyone doing today
By the way, congratulations to all the finishers!Way to go
Hi Min, how are you doing?
Hanging there. Have all the time in the world to babble.
Oops! I'm hanging in there. Have not been here in awhile
Yes, everyone is dealing with "social distance". Another buzz phrase the is being over used.
the compressor sounds like it is going on my fridge but I am getting a new one tomorrow. and not paying for it.I went food shopping today too.
I first store I went to set aside the first hour of the day for older people. I never saw so many older people in my life. The parking lot was full. Younger people were also waiting outside for their time to enter
I drove in the dark and fog this am and was not happy
any more word on Ruby?
I haven't seen any updates on Ruby. I hope all the love and support that has been sent her way has been comforting.
I hope so too
bye for now
Hi Min - haven't seen you in a while. How are you doing?
Hello origami! I am doing well, thank you. Have not been here for awhile either. I hope that all is well with U also.
Posted a story of clues for all babblers(including lurkers)
I love your stories, Min :D
I am so heartened by the art community during these trying times. Art teachers are offering free video lessons daily, opening chat rooms, providing printable coloring pages for children. Such a great group of people.
A big shout out for Dr God - and Lickety too.
Hi origami and others. I am impressed by the kindness of others in working to keep kids entertained. One of my granddaughters (who is 20) got dressed up like a princess and read Beauty and the Beast on Facebook.
That is lovely Bugs

Lots of people are taking pity on the poor young parents who now have their kids at home all day every day and can't have a friend over to play. They are also stressed about reduced hours of work or getting laid off altogether while still having to pay ourtrageously high rents. I am so glad I am a senior.
Rents and mortgages - hope all governments &/or banks do something. My sons bank has offered to defer mortgages which he will probably have to take up (works in restaurant).
other kids are writing songs and putting on little recitals for grandparents or others who don't see them often enough. I hope these kinds of connections continue when the veil of social distancing is lifted.
The government here is also waiving mortgage payments but so far, nothing for renters. I am worried that some greedy landlords will take advantage of their renters AND the government.
Private renters as well as business renters - surely owners/landlords will work with the banks/govt - it's not as though there will be people lining up to rent houses or shops in this climate!
good point, lynxx. I told my son to point out how bad it would look to put a family with little kids on the street right now but he is still loosing his mind with worry.
Hi Bugs - yes, I worry about the people living paycheck to paycheck who are now without income.
On a positive note, I just got my neighbors 6-year-old and 3-year-old hooked on kumquats, so I have home for the 1000 on my dwarf tree :D
I hav never had a kumquat but I love the sound of them.
Hello Bugsaw! How are you doing today? Welcome to grid
Hello lynxxx! How are you doing today? Welcome to grid.
hi Min - nice to see your cheery face
Hello Minveryork. I hpe you are well. Still writing stories forus I see. Thank you very much.
You know you're alive when you eat a kumquat. Tiny citrus that is sweet on the outside and tangy on the inside.
That's so cool that children are making videos for other children! Many museums have put coloring pages online of classic paintings for kids to color.
Kumquat marmalade mmmmmm!
I love that idea. Let them learn about great art and artists while having fun
I make kumquat marmalade and it is the BEST.
Bye all
See ya' lynx
bye lynx
And I just saw this ..Josh Gad reading stories to kids every night https://tinyurl.com/s7so2w5
thanks ori. I will pass on this link
Hi everyone. I'm back to find my last 11 words.
Min! Haven't seen you for ages. Lovely to see you again!
FIREWORKS! *~*~*~*
Way to go, Jac!
hello, dear Babblers
Hello there, melon
hi. how are you doing, origami?
Myself I took a 2 1/2 hour walk thru Cleveland's industrial flats. All by myself.
Outdoors keep me sane thru all this.
That and wordgames.
