how are you? how are things by you? In Ohio we are instay-at-home mode with some exceptions. Happily outdoor activities are OK as long as there is social distance and small numbers. solo bike riding is my bliss and the weather looks good tomorrow.

I am a carer for my parents so I will be allowed to travel to them so nothing changes for me. Just hope this virus is contained as much as possible!
I am surprised that I haven't put on weight. I have healthy foods and mostly cook my own meals.
I hope so, too. A cousin reports her mom, my aunt, in a nursing home just spiked a fever.
People are setting up ways to communicate with people who fell isolated by going online and video chatting to each other. I suppose you just google for that but not sure what you would type to get that.
I was supposed to help out a sis who had a hip replacement. as it happened the social distancing news had just started spreading, around March 9. I work in a middle school, a petri dish in other words, and felt that visitng her post-op would be unwise. She agreed.
I'm catching up on reading, and bining up on math, triangle stuff. For fun!

Ah I do not have FB never got into all that. I am a loner to be honest so I do not mind being on my own at all.
One thing I do is call a few people each day, esp friends of my late mother's. My mom is gone 15 years now, and I have been going out for lunch about three times a year with one of her good friends, who by now is close to 90. It keeps my mom near to both of us.
I'm enjoying the solitude. I'm enjoying blankspaces in my day. I was on the verge of being overscheduled before all this. Dolce far niente!

Yes it is going to be hard on the children and others who would of been getting ready for exams as I understand it the exams will not be taking place here. They will get their results from mock exams they had done in the past plus the course work they had done over the period.

I was going to try tight cotton weave on the outside, flannel on the inside and 2 layers of t-shirt in the middle

We don't have very many *diagnosed* cases in my immediate area, but it's also nearly impossible to get tested so I'm pretty damn sure we have more than we know.
I always try to compare the number of cases to the population for a realistic balance. Of course, places with larger populations will have higher numbers.

(This was in the days before I had a cell phone) I had a bit of a wrangle with myself to decide if he was going to be chronically unreliable and worth walking away from or if it was good to keep someone with fix-it skills in my life. He is now Mr Bugs so you know how it ended.

My hands are so dry due to the constant hand washing. I don't know how people who are germaphobes that wash their hands like this all the time, do it. And hand sanitizer? I've been using a shea-butter based foot cream every night, slathering it onto my hands, then putting them in my husband's socks before bed, so as not to grease the sheets as well as my hands!

So glad my divorce is over. I can't imagine having to stay inside with him 24 hours a day at this time. Also glad my house finally sold and is off the real estate market now.

When my mother came home from the hospital this summer, they gave us some supplies including a bottle of hand moisturizer with lanolin and beeswax that worked quite well, although a little greasy. Unfortunately, I think it only sells to hospitals and the like.

I was thinking of replacing my hot water heater with a tankless one. Has anyone had experience with that? My house is really tiny and my water heater is in a closet inside. It would free up a lot of space for me.
