I have quite a bit of decorative fold over elastic that I think is 3/8", but it may be 1/2". might have to try that folded over and zigzagged shut or something.

What is the deal on wearing NON N95 masks? Will they keep germs out, or your germs in?
they do keep some germs in, and they are pretty good reminders not to touch your own face
they don't really filter the air, but they do keep droplets from others away from your nose & mouth

Dropped it off at Computer Jocks yesterday afternoon. Says they'll have a diagnosis by Saturday or Monday. From the clues I gave him, he muttered something about it "might be the mother board". On that cheery not, I shchlepped back home. We shall see what burned out hulk I'm left with when it's all said and done.

We'll see what the damage is, Molly. PC is only 2 years old. No longer under warranty, of course. It's a Dell. When it was only 6 months old, I had to have the main video card replaced. Computer Jock tech told me that Windows 10 was notorious for causing a cascade of problems.

We've been using Grub Hub and Door Dash. Can pay and tip ahead online. Instruct driver to knock and leave food on doorstep. No human contact required during delivery.

the shipyard employs 11.5K people and that's not counting all of the contractor support. Ya can't weld a hull from home so there a bunch of parents who are having to take the risk... it's *Thank you Aloy* not like the compartments are huge, they're not, and there may be 15 people working in one of them for different crafts. At last news release (yesterday) I think they have had 10 cases emerge since this started. So they're out of work and people on their crew are potentially out of work. and how do you track who the contractors have been in contact with? Nah, Imma shelter in place unless it's absolutely necessary for me to go somewhere.

Those of you who are able to work from home are very, very lucky. There are thousands of people who are not getting a paycheck through all this.
This is my son's senior year too. Prom is already canceled, and now we are hoping htey can just walk across the stage

I am fortunate though, my job can be done from home. we do road side assistance for company drivers. Some of our clients are labcorp, us foods, kraft, mondelez, all essential drivers right now. BUT our calls have dropped from about 400 per day to about 100 per day if we are lucky.
We have been cushioning it by doing other busy work. My company was just starting to implement work from home opportunities, they just hadn't started anybody yet, and then this hit. So they just escalated a start date, and made it mandatory right now that we all work from home.

I haven't see and poison ivy, just English ivy. It was also 40 up in the trees. We cut some off a few years ago and now the ivy is rotting off and coming down. We had to chain saw some of the vines. (4 inches in diameter)
