Go to Facebook and search for Wraysbury Pub (it's an open, public group) and come and listen if it takes your fancy - I'll be broadcasting live from 4 til around 6
I'm glad I saw this, matty. I'll have a listen.
hello
Hey ml
hey flask
Sorry if I upset you yesterday.....but there are some folk just go over the top with their reactions to requests for help.....we are all equal here....
it was just unnecessary from all who were involved
Exactly!!
i didn't do anything that others do
This grid is a bit nippy!
in a good way/
?
I couldn't believe how bad it was later on in the day, there was cluing flying everywhere....couldn't believe it
Oh no ml...I mean nippy in a bad way...lol
some of them may not have been in the cat at the time
zippy in a bad way oh lol i was hoping for a bigger grid too
Yes I prefer a bigger one too....

i looked at the stats for the e on the 4th column just trying to find the word or words
got one

Oh boy. I’d never have monkeyed that one. All a cons for the 7
thanks Bea....
Thanks Bea
How is everyone doing, Covid wise?
the only uterine tumor I know is fibroid
Actually it is a part of the uterus that contains the ovary and fallopian tubes.
Ive been a female for over 70 years and never hear of it
i googled it and didn't get anything either
hi bichon
Bich. Ad and some stores offer ****-day delivery (tomorrow). Use the first 3 letters of that word, followed by a vowel
We're fine here in the south of scotland soodle...
got it, ty Soodle, Bea
ty soodle
Good go hear Flask. Our numbers seem to be dropping now, but the dreaded ‘second surge’ is much feared.
soodle here in NC we are close to ending the first phase
It still stuns me that the entire world has been so exposed to this virus. With all of our technology & advances in medicine, we simply were not prepared for this.

Hey, Molly. How's stuff?
I'm done dressing up and playing doctor for the day : D
5/16 is like the sound a bird makes...change the last letter.
Sorry I wasn't paying attention to points
ty CF, Molly
LOL! I'm debating as to whether I should journey out. I need sugar. Couldn't find any on Friday's shopping trip.
Did you ever get your yeast?
The latest thing the stores are out of here is maple syrup. I guess everyone quit making bread and started making pancakes and waffles. Yes, I am the proud owner of a one pound bag of yeast.
I ought yeast at Costco long ago and is in the freezer
I've been busy adding pics to flickr again.
Once it is opened, I store yeast in the fridge. In an airtight container.
ty champ
I ordered three loaves of bread from a local man who backs in a brick oven.
NP!
bakes
Wow Bea, you are really good at quilting. My favorites are the pumpkin and the doves.
I want to spell celery
Thanks, Molly. I wish I good do squiggles and swirls or free motion quilting, just not good enough and I hate practicing.
The ribbon on those doves took forever, but I am so pleased with the outcome.
It is beautiful. The people who get your hand made quilts are very lucky folks. I would consider it an honor if someone took the time to make a quilt for me.
I don't know what the kids will do with all this stuff some day.
i gtg will be back..
bfn ml
Hopefully, hand it down to the next generations. I have some of my grandmother's hand made afghans. I think they are itchier than they are cozy, but I'm glad I have them.
I still have the mohair sweater my Mom made for me in the lat 50's
I knit a mohair sweater in the '60s.....was soooo proud....but the finished sleeves would have fit an orangutan! :-)
not getting the clue for the ex6
Ex + ar4/6
ah ty now I get Bea's clue
I think Bea is old school like me, and tries to only use two letters of the word in her clues.
I don't like giving 2 letters if it's only a 4 letter word, especially if a high value tile is also used elsewhere in the word
I'm with Ru on cluing 4 letter words. I refrain from doing that.
If you are going to clue a four or five you might was well enter the entire word.
sometimes I think we can find 5 6 7 8 etc easier then finding a 4 letter word
ET5clue please?
ET5
another way of spelling the needle case...
I found it in morewords
i'm happy for you... ;o)
I never seem to see that spelling. That is why morewords is a helpful tool.
I keep forgetting that's what that word means
I think I usually see it because it's a word I like....
celerier seems perfectly legit
agreed...
i tried that word and the word without the r at the end
If only there was an s - that would work!
also tried celeried
i celeried my tuna casserole this week...
Hey, Carla...Added more photos...
ooh
the bag looks great - looks like a Thirty-One bag!

Hi saanich

i can't even believe i just managed to monkey that ad6/7 combo
now i'm down to one L6 to finish
And a noun also. As in "I pulled a Peri." :D
Monkeying is the absolute key to this grid. With all the weird and implausible words, a non-English speaker wouldn't be at much of a disadvantage...
indeed ori

le 4 and you and me together

Hi peeps. I finished a while ago (a rarity these days_ but for those of you who came to hearJeff (my OH) play this evening - THANK YOU. It was a fun virtual gig and made even better by your participation. Cheers all!
Im trying a new recipe today, but not feeling overly optimistic - batter looked funky on way into oven....lemon brownies. sounds good, right? We will see.....
it can also mean "duh" lol
hi matty!
lemon brownies? With white chocolate chips?
no, with a lemon glaze on top. I love lemon
Me too! Are they traditional chocolate brownies, or white brownies?
no chocolate, just lemon zest, lemon juice, eggs, flour, sugar, backing powder, butter.....
oh that sounds very good to me. I love lemon bars, but the crust takes so much time for me to make that I usually only make them for special occasions.
my only "problem" wtth lemon bars is that I will eat an entire pan in one sitting
Matty, will Jeff's gig be on YouTube later? I would like to see it.
Ha ha, I have a wax warmer on right now with Sicilian lemon wax melting in it and it smells so good
mmmmmm - ummy
citrus is probably my favorite scent.
just peeped on them - fears seem unfounded. Nicely smoothed out and puffy in oven
butter was rough looking
*batter

i was outside doing MAJOR yard work all day - trying to reclaim areas neglected for years.
We worked in teh yard some yesterday. it is still quite swampy due to all the rain we have been getting.I was able to weed around hte edge of the driveway and front of the house, but as far as my flowerbeds go... Ihave to wait.
We got the mulch, but there is just too much standing water to even walk into the backyard
I went to OSU, btw
I trimmed trees - I am full of scratches and gouges on my hands and arms
Nice! Do you still live in OH now?
I think the hemlocks are dying.
ugh, harry, no fun! I did have a few major scratches after the thorn take down yesterday....
no, lisa, back home in massachusetts
I have a nasty bush that is overgrown out there, I usually have to trim it down every other year, and really just want to dig it up and get rid of it... it has so many prickers and nothing pretty about it
