I didn't weigh my shelled ones. I just sealed them into 2 cup packages.

They are scattered through the yard. There is one tree that has really small nuts. Those need to be raked into a pile and sent to the yard waste.

Rbud - think popovers. Yorkshire puddings are (I found out by accident) the same as popover, except sometimes made as a big flat thing, rather than individual things.
it is a muffin of srts made with flour eggs, pinch of salt and baked in oven at high temperature until it cooks golden brown and hollow in the middle--served with gravy beside meal.
I use muffin times though when making "toad in the hole" I use lasagna dish

I have a ham in the slow cooker. Didn't really plan a meal so I guess I will add some sides to that.
don't have any desserts planned but can find something in the pantry to make.
I use muffin tins for toad in the hole too, crossy -- just cut up the sausage into smaller pieces. There are only two of us, so that makes 4 in those extra large muffin tins and I can freeze the other two
I'm going simple with aged ribeyes on the grill, baked, asparagus gratin, tossed salad, rolls and coconut cream chhese cake for dessert.

I don't even know of a butcher here so we have to do the grocery store. though there is a restaurant nearby that started selling steaks from their butcher during the shutdown so we have bought those a couple of times.
This is a little dive of a convienience store that has a full butcher shop in the back. They make their own sausage which is to die for.

no -- it is cooked in 2 stages carla. after braising and baking for 15 min at 480, you cool it down, then spread a little pate on the top of it and wrap it in puff pastry (I use sour cream pastry) then bake it for another 20 minutes -- that takes it from med. rare at the ends to rare in the middle.

From what I have read, you have to spritz them with a bit of oil. I got spritz bottles for that purpose.
