It's commonly used as one word to describe bathrooms, for instance (Although it is 2 words in French, of course)
But maybe that's recent usage
or just a really common mis-spelling

my husband just came home from the grocery store and along with what he was looking for he bought me a small box of three brownies with a little cream cheese on top. The brownies have little plastic hearts on the top. that when you take them out they are almost like plastic heart rings for your fingers. I made sure ahead of time that they were not real lol. there really can't be a correct English spelling of a word that is not English.
I guess there can be an accepted spelling, even if it's not "correct"
