Hi, Crossy - def. a tough one
Good morning.

Cold and rainy here so I awoke with a migraine. It needs to be gone before I go to work at 1.

TY
This grid really is like pulling teeth
great, just what I want to read when I'm struggling on the first row 😜
It's all part of the service 😉
ok - question - just put in a word and am getting the message "does not exist in the puzzle" but it clearly does...never had this happen before. Anyone else?
spam?
it's a glitch
Yeah, it always does that with spam
nope...usually when i look again i see that the grid is right... ;o)
Good morning, all. Probably because the word is a proper noun, mama.
Let's call it a feature - an intentional easter egg, as it were, rather than a glitch ;)
spam isn't in the enable dictionary...
good idea
Ok - just thought I was going crazy. I expected it to tell me it's not a word... not that it doesn't exist in the puzzle
according to legend, someone asked the creator to add it and he said he did (which is weird since the game uses the enable list that he doesn't maintain), but ever since it gives that message instead of saying it's not in the dictionary.
and the enable word list was created when spam was mostly still a proper noun and not the common usage of today.
thanks for clarifying. tough grid. think i'm done for the day. have a good one!
adios!
heading out....i will leave 40 for later...bye all....
bye pen! 100 left here

The whooshing sound that in7 clue made as it zipped by me was kind of neat. :/
hi cross
Howdy mlf. :)
maybe you all don't play that game in canada? but nan got it.
hi crossy
Went through the clues again, and fired up Morewords and found it finally ty. :)
in + male deer that lost it's first letter + half of the animal that sleeps tonight
sometimes you just have to look it up. or at least I do.
inuckli
now that song can run through everyones mind - wimoweh, wimoweh :)
is the ou7 a compound word/
one of my favorite songs
don't have it
*Is stunned that Nan knows The Tokens. I thought that would be classified as "noise"
maybe it's been in enough movies
noise is when there is no melody - just discordant sound
that is a great song and it is real music
the words are nonsense, but a lot of nonsense songs have catchy tunes
I'm not a big fan of nonsense songs
EXACTLY!
yesterday I had a song stuck in my head and I can only remember partial lyrics. I tried humming it to my kids, to Siri, and to Soundhound, and nobody got it.
I also google the partial lyrics and got nothing
googled
lol is it stuck in your head today too?
antifact should be a word --- there are a whole big bunch of politicians out there who believe in antifact
what is soundhound?
lay it on us. perhaps the Babble brain trust can guess it.
Are you sure you have the lyrics right? (Excuse me while I kiss this guy)
soundhound is an app that can tell you what a song playing is. works great with music, but yesterday was the first time I tried the humming.
no, I'm not even sure I have the tune exactly right.
In the jungle the peaceful jungle the lion sleeps tonight..
is the ou7 a compound word/
?
Loved that song.....I was 15!!
i sitll love that song .. was born later
Great song!!;
pretty sure it's rap/hip hop, and I thought it was 50 cent but I looked up his songs and didn't find it. my oldest kid is like a rap/hip hop expert and he said it seemed vaguely familiar.
Oh God, it's probably lyrics from Rapper's Delight. And no one knows all of those.
LOL, not that one. I said hip hop...
(and that was part of the lyrics)
older or newr?
who knows!
your kid might know?
if he knew he would have told me. LOL
snoop dog?
rap and hip-hop are 2 generations too late for me
rehi
rehi, moo
rapping it up are we?
Maybe its j.b.?
is ou 7 a compound word?
yes
Not much into rap music/culture, but we once has a young employee who made me laugh. he would show up for work in a hoodie that was five times too big for him, and his pants would be way down on his hips about to fall off (made him tuck his underwear in though) he would have a bandana around his head, and a baseball cap on backwards and positioned sideways. he would them top it off with about 5 pounds of fake gold chains around his neck I used to call him "25 Cent." :)
mlfan is trying to outspam us by asking that over and over
:)
well.....??
I do not have it.
my ou 7 is a plural,,,
still haven't found it either
could be a compound I think
yes, the one I have is a plural
a plural compound
and it's not oattaps
have an ou 6 that is compound, but no 7's yet
well why didnt you say that the first time mool sheesh
I try not to give it away :)

slang for um breat, plus a note to follow
I knew it was just a matter of seconds
breast
Found it.... straw mat
ty une. got it right away
hmm, the way I'm reading moo's clue is tataps
I read lts of james Clavell :)
Hey crossy
no idea of a straw mat
lots
I left off the last part of my clue hoke :)
Aahhh
sings o/` a note to follow... o/`
I thought "a note to follow" was a postscript or PS
yeah, I see that now
those clues are flying right over my head - a ta 4 that means upbeat and something that is a straw mat
got it now with the sound of music
looks japanese
Ta6 is a Japanese straw mat
eureka!

still need 10 4's. will try to see those.
I need 2 4s
but eight 6s and seven 7s
I have 5 6's and 8 7's left
Mi is a name I call myself not a note to follow
you are correct. guess I was messing those lyrics up in my head too!
found a 7
yes, I know moo made the lyrical error, but somehow I got the word with the wrong one
Lyrically incorrect minds think alike
maybe he can come up with the song stuck in my head
I can't read minds unfortunately
well, not all of us have the gift
do you have any clues...lyrics, context?
I think there's an F bomb in the 2nd part
well that narrows it down :)
I'm a ****, I'm a f* *****, you don't wanna mess with me. or dance with me or something.
oh well, found 2 4's. 27 left. taking a break.
yeah, not enough for me to go on sorry

antifa's not in the enable dictionary, just like they were not in DC on Jan 6. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
my husband had to run some errands, he was looking for some pens. He came across a Bic pen, this is the 50th anniversary of the bic 4 color click pen. The original is still available to this day. For the anniversary unless its been redone for good. they took out one of the colors i think green and replaced with purple .The outside of this version of the pen is also purple
surprised that antimap is not a word - my dad certainly is
what's an antimap?
being against asking for directions or using guides :-)
I always have
that makes sense
loved those pens, fan.
tint
Sorry
you probably know the joke about why it takes 10,000 sperm to fertilize an egg
Why is that, joy?
because none of them will stop and ask for directions
Ha!
mlfan, I have 2 of those 4 color Bics here. one is the original colors and the other is pastels.
I'm jealous, hokie.
pastels???
I just bought them a couple of years ago. keep one in the car.
the only one i have ever seen is the blue on the outside and blue black green and red as the different colors
these are white on the outside and that's all i ever remember
i used to have a big thick pen, wieth about 14 clickable colors the outside was red. i have not seen it since i had it years ago
i am not seeing anything
found some words
Help, please -with the ca 7\32.

the last ca7/32 is a hybrid animal. Think about the one who roams on the range
i just discovered an fa7 that takes an -ic off an enthusiastic 9 that isn't in the grid
Got it - thanks.

Could continue the AM 4/5

i think finata should be a pinata that is finished

Trying to avoid looking at Lickety's clues until I can get at least 100...been trying all day!
you can do it dauber!
yeah...I hear ya
i'm trying lots of out- as a prefix, but only one has worked
keep trying
even though i'm sure my mom could outnag yours
arghghgh...phantom "asphalt"!
my mum doesn't really nag, but she still drives me nuts
I'll never understand how my dad's been able to live with my mom for nearly 60 years.

(And vice versa, but for other reasons!)
ooh found a word...too bad it wasn't a 6 or 7
yw hursh

6 4's left! 4 5's, 4 6's, 5 7's
well that's much better than my list or mool's

or in hursh notation 1-2-7-6-0
hmm, that is more effixient
2.0 WPT

1.9 WPT
6.125 AWL
would it be hurshal notation or hurshian notation?
i think the latter sounds better

dealing with an ebay issue though. girl bought my 2012 computerized embroidery machine and says there's no space on it. I clearly said in the listing it was from 2012. now she is complaining there is no storage. I told her how to delete my old files and she says
I have at least three of those words joy :)
pays to try made up words
"it's too full from your data but your data has already been deleted so I can't download anything."
all sales are final
it's funny cause i've used that notation before, from time to time, over a long period of time, and this is the first time anyone else has wanted to use it
I suggested she try to find a computer person to help or a sewing store, but come on, it's 9 years old!
Actually I just found 2 more. I'm missing the TA5,12 and the TA6,21 that are on either side of the song you play at bedtime.
yeah the 6/21 would be body art for your french friend :)
ta 5/12...I'd check to make sure it's not a plural
and yes moo please I'd love some help with them.
unless it's from the bottom t
I don't think it could be a plural...the word before it is a 4,4
yeah, she's like you have to help me fix it or I'll need a refund
ah...then it's from the bottom t
yes I think so
oh yeah, i was missing it
it's a bone in your hand I think
oh no, ankle bone
I have on there no returns, but I feel bad because she told me last week she was going to use it to start a business. that's a ridiculous prospect because it's a basic home model. but maybe that's her scam and if I tell her to send it back she'll send a different one.
or if you happen to play Zelda Breath of the Wild...

Any 8 letter word clues? Ty. Need stat too. Ty
Tatas

c 8/45
Ty. Second letter please.
ca
Dont know the word but will find it. Ty
hmm...I'm horrible at clueing. Maybe if you think classical music that might help.

There's an ST7/8 combo. The 7 means endurance, and the 8 is the adjective form.

*tghe 2nd one that follows the baby powder
Based on the t4 just before
(the baby powder, that is)
ty gillie
all I could think of was the ending for the powder
:)
now all the "experts" are saying how terrible it is to use baby powder
sometimes I think it is amazing that our kids ever survived!
Yes, well apparently for a long time Johnson & Johnson weren't letting on that it contained some asbestos. Maybe that's no longer the case, though.
I've never like talc anyway - it always made me want to sneeze
ok -- never used it - perfume too strong for me -- used an unscented powder I got at the drug store - can't remember the name of it now.
I guess asbestos occurs naturally in some talc deposits
are the last 3 ca's all feline words? Have the 7/36 but not the other two
I've only got the first of the last three - it's a medieval musical term
instrument, style or direction?
A term for a tune, basically
you aren't think of Bach's compositions are you?
No, older ones - it's often used with the term "firma"
Sorry, "firmus"
mmm - not really into baroque music - will have to look it up
new term for me
I studied music quite a bit, so it was familiar to me
Thanks for pointing me to the ca7/36, by the way. Got to go now!
I did too, but not so much theory -- mostly symphonic as I played violin. Did play in a couple of quartets though that did older compositions
just need the last ca 7/32 now -- must begin with the feline
this is so tough even with the list
