You're right Samantha - I do usually go to the chat before the list. I think the chatting is part of it.
I have never understood the difference of getting clies in the chat vs looking at Lickety. And I laugh when people shout "Fireworks, no list!!!" when they have been asking for clues all day. Help is help.
And weirdly, you're right, it somehow seems less desperate! Same as those who need REALLY specific clues (I mean REALLY specific - just short of just saying the word is X) but won't go to morewords

there is a missing 4 or 5 yo girl from TN right near where I'm from and my mom had been keeping me updated since she disappeared, but never heard anything in charlotte, which is less than 4 hours away.

I just watched that commercial. Not only is it offensive to some, but it is also just plain stupid.
the stupidest commercial i ever saw was one for Beggin' Strips, a dog treat. they showed a dog a bunch of Rorschach inkblots, and for each one the dog said "BACON!", and then a picture of Beggin' Strips, and the dog again said "BACON!". and the tagline was "Beggin' Strips: Dogs don't know it's not bacon." And I was like... but according to this commerciall, they don't know ANYTHING is not bacon, so why would I bother buying your product?
And yet, these people think they are so clever. I know. I interned at an ad agency one summer in college.

I apologize...it was actually FreeForm which is owned by Disney. They do show teenage / young adult girl shows on some evenings, but this was not one of them.

My new favorite true crime podcast is Crime Countdown. The hosts are so funny together.
just google Crime Junkies plagiarism. The two I'm thinking of are The Trail Went Cold and Trace Evidence. The Trace Evidence guy used to post transcripts of his podcasts but he said he had to quit after he discovered "someone" was doing their own podcast reading his verbatim. They also read some news stories and and TV shows word for word without credit.
I like Crime Countdown and the other show those 2 do together, but I can't deal with how one of them says exacTly.

yes, I just got the new Longmire that came out but haven't started it yet.
LOL...There is no channel tv here. We hooked mom p to Longmire on Netflix. She is enjoying it.
We listened to Chasing Fireflies by Charles Martin. I highly recommend it! He writes with a lot of imagery and the story he tells is fascinating.
I will have to check it out.
