thanks, I had it last Feb and it is horrible. had a PT (physio for you non-USA) do the maneuver and fix it but it's hard to get in with her. I'll call later today if I didn't fix it myself.
bonine works better for me, bea. I can take that for the motion sickness but it won't help the vertigo.

yes - delish :) And lobster rolls the next day

i did not come from a "yankee" family....so lobster it was and is... ;o)
i did not come from a "yankee" family....so lobster it was and is... ;o)
I'm sorry, I just love saying lobstah
won't be happening again for a while --- it was $35/lb this year
sorry...slow response....
yes, very pricey....my mother used to make lobster stew every Christmas Eve....
I wouldn't mind so much if we could get decent sized lobster, but the largest ones they ever get in here are 1-1/2 pounders and so much of it is shell
well i guess we are lucky we can get it....
i did not buy our lobster, so I don't know how much it was or how large the lobsters were....
can you buy it right off the boats?
i can here in the summer....not now....we do have a fish market here in town....
yes - tht is where we get ours (Codfather's) but by the time they tack the air freight and middleman charges on it gets awfully pricy
yes, i am sure....but it's been pricey here as well even when there is no shipping involved....
Lobster stew and lobster rolls for Christmas Eve sounds heavenly.
it was....felt very lucky to have it and to have everyone together for a change....
My family gathering got a little bigger this year. My oldest was here. My middle son has COVID so he and his wife had to pass.
bummer....last year we did not get together at all....so it was nice to do so this Christmas...
I think this was probably the loneliest Christmas I have ever spent. Family couldn't come then I had covid symtoms and was waiting for test results so hubby was in one room and I was in another.
how awful for you!....
*hugs* to you nan
We went to daughter's in-law and had a Ukranian Christmas eve. 12 fish for the apostles

Aw Nan, here's to a better Christmas for you next year.

mkg: I do not go straight for the longer words. i find more often than not that they derive from the shorter ones.
so looking for obvious words is a path to many of the longer ones.
owl, i have already gotten over 100 words and dont see any to add on to. so any clues would be appreciated.

the picnic pests is a 4 right? or is there a 7? i am confused jane
it's an anagram, mkg. if the poker word is in the grid, so is the italian volcano!
I thought those or were just a phantom

Yes! 4 here in Nashville.....2 in Charleston
We all got together in N Carolina for Thanksgiving. I didn't have to pay anything..... what a great early Christmas present, everyone together in a house in the Smokies, with nooooooo internet
Bryson City?
excuse my ignorance as geography was never my forte. Charleston is how far from Nashville.
close to Banner Elk in North Carolina
the drive was about 4 to 5 hours for each of us....I fly, so it's an hour from Nashville to Charleston for me...about 9 to 10 hours driving
ah. we have thought twice in the last 3 years we might want to move there and then visited and decided we wouldn't like to.
move where?
Nashville or Charleston
granny, no need to apologize for geography questions - you live in another country. I struggle with US geography and I live here.
move to Banner Elk
or Beech Mt
thanx Carla. i'm pretty good with Aussie stuff as we have done a lot of traveling around this big island. also Europe, and the UK. been there twice. still haven't seen all i want to see.
The Nashville fam is going to Beech Mt for their big Christmas present....... I will stay at their house, take my dog, keep their 2,,,,, fine with me, don't think I'm going to learn to snow ski at my age :)
I hope there's snow for them.
Ok, going to go zap something for supper. Night all. Enjoyed the game and conversation tonight! God Bless.
I skied a few times at Sugar Mt. and Beech Mt. when I was a teenager. Grew up a couple of hours north.
good night!
granny, I have only been to Canada, Mex, & some Caribbean. would love to see Australia if it didn't take so long to get there and there weren't so many poisonous critters. 😠Would love to see parts of Europe.
enjoy your evening Sophie. will you be back for the flip?
Carla, i so wanted to come see the USA. but my health has been on a steady decline for some years. my mobility has almost completely gone. but i am back in the hot water pool, exercising, and slowly improving again. i am hoping a few more weeks and i will tolerate the gym agan.
I'm sorry to hear that. my mom is having mobility issues too. I know it's tough.
my pain doc says he has never met anyone so stubborn when it comes to my pain issues. he has to squeeze details out of me.
well, squeezing details sounds painful too 😜
lol...
my hubby is, of course, my carer. he comes into consults with me, and i often catch the doc and him exchanging glances. lol....
that's good you have him to help
this may sound strange but i can only describe it as that he has a mother's heart. very nurturing. not saying men aren't nurturing. but there is a gentleness and forethought too in a mother's heart.
that's sweet
ro 6-7?
like slang for bad food? what it will do to your insides.
oh, it's actually cheap liquor
and I knew that, just forgot I guess
