12:54 am

12:54 am

No.

12:54 am

I have 28 left, but only 2 T words

12:54 am

Oops - I take it back - 3 T words

12:54 am

drat. That was my best hope for helping you. Any from the first column one?

12:55 am

there are 41 T words, Gillie, so somehow your math is off!

12:56 am

Only 3 T words left, I mean

12:56 am

ah

12:56 am

Just one left now, a t5 from column 3.

12:56 am

all three of us then

12:56 am

to5/18?

12:56 am

Got that one. Do you need it?

12:57 am

no. is there a list? I'm just going buy what I have

12:57 am

Got the tr5.18 also.

12:58 am

Dunno if there's a list. Haven't checked yet.

12:58 am

I've got a to5/10 that isn't a plural

12:59 am

Got the ti5.18 also.

12:59 am

And the ta5.18. No idea if these all come from column 3 T btw.

1:00 am

I have ta5/10, ta5/10, ta5/18, to5/10 and to5/18

1:00 am

(from the 3rd column, I think)

1:02 am

Gillie, thanks! FIREWORKS! *~*~*~* It was a ta5.18.

1:02 am

yw - I don't think Lickety's going to be doing a list, so maybe you should?

1:03 am

(Not the poem word,)

1:03 am

I can do a list if wanted. I used do do them regularly pre-Lickety.

1:04 am

that was a long time ago!

1:05 am

I've been playing for a long time. lol

1:05 am

yes, please, jac

1:16 am

1:49 am

tyvm Jacula!

1:49 am

yvw,

1:51 am

Once I've signed out, go to Jacula on the rankings (I'm #9)and you'll find my profile and the list there.

1:55 am

I've saved you about half an hour today, broll. Use it wisely. :)

1:58 am

Thanks, Jacula

2:07 am

I'm off now. Need a nap and then have stuff to do. BBL.

2:10 am

more than that, I think. thx

2:18 am

Depends how you do the list, I guess Broll. I c&p mine into Notebook, then do a 'replace' to remove all the 'Look Up Word' that comes before each word, then have to manually backspace each word into the right place and then backspace and delete all but the first 2 letters of each.

2:19 am

Really off now. I have a parcel for a client to pack up and send off.

4:09 am

For anyone who knows how to use Excel, this is a much faster way to make a list. Copy word list into an Excel spreadsheet (the word, the number of letters and the points go into 5 columns (because of ? for dictionary). Then insert a column after the word. Then write a formula in the first line after the word, example - " =left($B1,2)" (the $ makes the formula absolute) Then copy the formula all the way down (put the cursor in the bottom right of the top cell with the formula and drag it down to the end of the word list). Voila you have 3 columns with first 2 letters, length, points

12:52 pm

Similar to a twinkler

12:58 pm

hi again - had to delay shopping trip

1:03 pm

You didn't miss much Nan. Just Peri's usual ask for a clue and then leave thing. 😊

1:05 pm

don't know why we can't have ts 8 --- especially with all the other "similar" words

1:09 pm

Maybe no one wants to be similar to a ts4

1:09 pm

an, la, oa and st 7 --- the 5th one, please?

1:09 pm

ga

1:09 pm

haveing seen their lifestyle, I wouldn't mind giving it a try. Heck - I'd settle for just a live in chef and housekeeper :D

1:13 pm

I give up - clue for the ga 7 please?

1:17 pm

Starts with not guy ends with the last 4 of distrubances in the street

1:17 pm

ty molly

1:23 pm

9 more 4's that I would like to find before I consult your list ...

1:53 pm

Tx for ga7!

2:01 pm

clue for the st 7 pls

2:02 pm

similar to a twinkler

2:02 pm

.... having to do with layers

2:02 pm

oops - that is the 8, sorry

2:03 pm

... many of the same letters nan ... just the order is different

2:10 pm

so my workplace did the right thing and mandated the covid vaccinations FINALLY

2:10 pm

but not a single word on mandating boosters or future boosters

2:11 pm

maybe just decided to take it one step at a time

2:11 pm

... how are they going to keep track of it or what are they going to keep track of?

2:12 pm

I am back and still looking for the st8

2:13 pm

... similiar to things which twinkle in the sky at night

2:13 pm

2:13 pm

ty jmc

2:13 pm

*untangles fingers*

2:14 pm

yw

HOET!

2:28 pm

When I asked them they said they were going to keep "evaluating" as "more data comes in". Anti-science Nazis.

2:31 pm

... sounds like "say nothing ... but say it fast and loudly so that no one can understand or question it" ... .. ah well ... mustn't be bitter

2:33 pm

... ah well 40 left for later ... maybe ... must be off ... luck to all who continue the struggle ....

2:35 pm

I'm not even concerned about vaccinated or unvaccinated any more. People who are vaccinated with boosters are getting and spreading COVID.

2:39 pm

yes they are molly, but not as severely as those who are unvaccinated. It is the unvaccinated that are filling up hospital beds and taking up all the time of the medical personnel to the point that people needing other treatments are being shunted aside.

2:41 pm

and at tennis matches

2:42 pm

oh - did australia deport him?

2:42 pm

3:16 pm

HI ALL. Going to try to get half way.

3:16 pm

So far have no sixes or 7s orthe 8. A long way to go til i get to half way too. Oh well.

the 8 is akin to the sparkly things in the night sky

I have no 7s either

3:20 pm

The 8 what are stats pleases carla? Ty for the clue

3:20 pm

Stirrato

3:21 pm

Oops sorry

sorry, ST8/60

oh, found a 7 - oa7, same ending as the 8

3:23 pm

Ty. Well must google akin

3:25 pm

What is akin to sparkly things in the sky comes up with rock bands…….very interesting.

I think you're thinking too much. compound word - first half is sparkly thing second half is saying something is ___ something else.

3:27 pm

Oh good Lord. What twinkles in the night sky? Only one thing

3:28 pm

Similar to that. Starts with ST

3:28 pm

Yes molly. But what is akin to it? Thaswt is what the st 8 is.

3:29 pm

Or so i thought

3:29 pm

Oh my i just got the 8. Ty

3:29 pm

Oh my indeed

3:29 pm

I didnt think it was the objects in the sky plus another word. Sorry

3:30 pm

Ty for the clues.

3:30 pm

AFTER A DAY OF BABYSITTING I AM TOO TIRED FOR THIS PERHAPS…

3:31 pm

Jacula, thank you so much for the clues today. I still won't be able to finish, but I'm in much better shape than yesterday. And, Molly, thank you for telling about Jacula!

what can I do to make my clues better/easier? just for future...

3:36 pm

your clues are great, hon......she has a list, similar to Lickety

3:36 pm

CLUE WAS FINE. JUST FINE. IT IS MY BRAIN.

3:36 pm

after listing, then I go for clues

3:36 pm

after a day of grand-sitting I'm to tired for anything!

3:37 pm

too

3:37 pm

too

3:37 pm

too

3:37 pm

Carla you have always clued me great stuff. Trust me i am wiped out and not thinking. I did 12,000 steps so far today and i am very tired. At my age, well, that is a lot of steps.

3:37 pm

Yes too. Yes.

3:38 pm

I dont list very often. I prefer clues.

5:03 pm

Lickety isnt working forme today - is it just my browser or is it still showing saturdays grid?

5:11 pm

no Lickety is having computer issues you can find the list on Molly's or Jacula's profiles.

5:12 pm

thank you x

5:12 pm

yw

5:13 pm

Hey Jmcrick. How’s thatboy of yours doing

5:15 pm

hi! such a long story! he moved to Dublin for a while which was an improvement. Then he came back here to get his stabs. And stayed since it is still a major deal to travel safely and. . . .

5:15 pm

he finished writing his master's thesis last Thursday

5:16 pm

Originally to be about how Irish Pub workers survived the pandemic but with the shut downs it was too hard to connect.

5:17 pm

So he wrote about how Rap musicians survived the pandemic.

5:17 pm

hahaha that's the short version!

damn this new version of excel...

5:18 pm

hi TO

5:18 pm

What a bummer. Covid is responsible for so much upscuttlement. Your boy seems to have his head screwed on.

hi je

5:19 pm

yeah definitely not the international study period of his dreams

5:20 pm

and yeah sometimes he has his head screwed on.

soodle, how are y'all today?

5:20 pm

is his field sociology jmc?

5:20 pm

but I didn't get to come to Ireland to share his birthday or Christmas last year

5:20 pm

economic anthropology mab

5:21 pm

oh, so interesting.

5:22 pm

the paper was actually pretty interesting. the musicians were mostly long time friends of his who moved to LA

1st ka 5/18 pls?

5:22 pm

plural TO

5:23 pm

a friend who lives in S Africa saw her son only a couple of times a year while he was at Cornell. She put on a strong facade, but I know it was hard. So far away.

5:23 pm

maybe that's not the first one

5:24 pm

we spoke on the phone and computer a lot but Christmas was really depressing. My sister and her daughter's family and me and my son. . . 4 zoom windows

5:24 pm

I was so glad to see him I hugged him anyway

sorry i have asked for the wrong word. break time''

5:25 pm

I may have given you the wrong clue

5:25 pm

yes, the pandemic was awfully troublesome. to say the least...

5:26 pm

that is an understatement mab

I have 2 ka5/18 that are both pl, but I need 4 k's still.

5:28 pm

while he was still away I was in a grocery and because someone came around a corner I stopped suddenly and the stocker who was walking appropriately behind me didnt' stop fast enough and stuck his hand out to brace against my back for a moment so as not to run into me. And I thought. . .

5:28 pm

that is the most touch I have had in a year

5:29 pm

I only have 5 k's

5:29 pm

oh... isn't that sad?

5:30 pm

living alone during a pandemic shutdown is its own kind of . . .

5:30 pm

a friend fell in love with her carpenter the moment the pandemic became apparent, and he moved right in.

5:30 pm

they're very happy

5:30 pm

haha that's a great story

5:33 pm

she had buried her too young husband less than 6 months before, and had only just stopped calling for him when she came into the house from work. complicated, but somehow...

5:33 pm

when I had first met my hubby my roommate bought a house in the burbs and did not invite me along. I turned to my then boy friend and said: I know this is a little early in the relationship but I would hate to sign a lease if I were wanting to move in with you in a couple of months so lets do it now

5:34 pm

nice play.

5:35 pm

I'd forgotten, but you lost your husband quite early too, didn't you? no answer if too personal.

5:35 pm

It worked. just as well, he died about 10 years later so we ended up without much time together

5:35 pm

yes he was 40

5:36 pm

he died on the anniversary of the day we met (at the courthouse)

5:36 pm

don't know how people survive such things. so sorry.

5:37 pm

you do because the alternative is unthinkable. I had a 8 year old boy

ka5/18 after the ka 6/30 pls?

5:39 pm

sorry TO, no clue

nm it will show itself soon

5:43 pm

I should clarify we MET at the courthouse. I was there representing demonstrators (non-violent ones) and he was a criminal trial lawyer

5:52 pm

TO I need a clue for the ka 6 30 please

5:53 pm
