Did you find the one that starts with you name?

12:01 pm

ty nan for one of the in8

12:02 pm

12:03 pm

Tx for the second in8!

12:22 pm

what was the clue for the tr 8, please?

12:22 pm

any clues on the two d 7/36s?

12:23 pm

I would clue it as a three winged aero

12:23 pm

oh, those are my missing D's then

12:23 pm

found a tr7/28

12:24 pm

are they de or di, cow?

12:24 pm

one is di7.36 focal length

12:24 pm

thanks, different spelling

12:25 pm

the other is de 7.36 - car mar and robot ending

12:26 pm

oh, I still need a bottom D

12:26 pm

not getting the aero part -- no plane in the grid

12:27 pm

I'm sorry.

12:27 pm

it is actually airplane fuel - ends like a gas that you can use in grills or some people use in homes - we use it in our camper

12:27 pm

nan, think of a shortened word and different spelling for the chemical in turkey that makes you sleepy

12:28 pm

meanwhile, I'm getting neither of the D7's 😔

12:28 pm

if only I could remember what that is

12:29 pm

12:50 pm

12:51 pm

2 guesses left, so really only 1 left since I have to finish the other

12:52 pm

nm, 1 guess left and I didn't finish the other

12:53 pm

fail

12:56 pm

I've succeeded with 67% of the puzzles on Quordle, which I think is pretty good

12:58 pm

Wordle doesn't seem to keep an accumulated scorecard for me; if I finish it just reports that day's result. What am I not doing? hi all

aloy, wordle went kind of crazy when NYT took it over. some people kept stats, some people didn't. haven't heard of your problem before. I had to change browsers to get it to work because mine was just a blank screen. so I def lost stats, but I think they have been accumulating since then.

I have not played quordle, gillie, but some of the people at my other internet place do and I think 67% is probably really good.

1:01 pm

ok, ty hokie.. I think I'm using Chrome when I play

1:01 pm

It may have something to do with your browser settings - possibly not allowing cookies?

I use chrome for everything but now have to play wordle on safari

1:02 pm

ooh, good idea Gillie: I'll have to check settings, ty

it would be nice if NYT would add wordle to the actual games homepage

1:06 pm

I've just been using the original link, but I suppose it may stop redirecting at some point

mine worked for a couple of days and then redirected to a blank screen

with the new link

I should say redirected to the new link with a blank screen

1:07 pm

Huh - are you sure it wasn't just a temporary connection problem?

yeah, and I read other people had the same issue

just checked it again and blank screen

1:09 pm

Weird

yep. I assumed it was some kind of glitch that would eventually get fixed but I guess not.

1:10 pm

What if you go directly to the new link: https://www.nytimes.com/games/wordle/i\nndex.html

1:11 pm

(without the \n of course)

blank screen

1:13 pm

There's an article on fixing the problem at https://macreports.com/wordle-shows-bl\nank-page-on-iphone-ipad-or-mac-heres-h\now-to-fix/

oh, thanks. will check that out.

1:14 pm

yw

lol, there were 2 /n in that link. I took out one and was like, page not found??

1:16 pm

6:24 pm

I clued them at 3:23

6:25 pm

6:28 pm

Got it. Ty super clue pen. Ty.

6:34 pm

in7 please

6:35 pm

one is a pl....

6:35 pm

that is the only one....i just listed...

6:36 pm

Pen, do you refresh before you leave?

6:38 pm

usually....don't recall if i did today....and i did not shut down the computer....

6:44 pm

It's not about turning the computer off. It's about logging off without refreshing.

6:45 pm

i did not log off...

6:48 pm

So when you stop playing Babble, you don't sign out?

6:48 pm

no....i just put the lid down on my laptop....put it to sleep....

6:48 pm

i knew i was coming back...

6:51 pm

re7/32 pls

6:53 pm

sorry, don't have it yet....it's one of the 8 i am missing...

6:57 pm

peri that was clued earlier today if you search

I still have 7 left after listing

6:58 pm

well almost all the longer words have been clued by the time the evening comes....it's a pain to mine the chat for that many hours of posts....just sayin....

6:58 pm

me, too, carla....

agree on the chat mining - it's one thing to ask for a clue that's like 3 posts down, but kind of a pain unless someone directs you to the time

7:01 pm

exactly...no one has to clue if they don't want to for whatever reason...

7:02 pm

You don't have to "mine" the chat. Just go to the whole chat log and do a FIND (CNRL+F) for re7/32

7:02 pm

whatever...

7:03 pm

Sorry, CNTRL + F

7:03 pm

i, for one, won't be doing it...just me, i guess...

I'll look it up on bestwordlist before that

7:04 pm

same here...

7:10 pm

It's really quite easy to do what Molly is talking about. You can keep the chat log open on a tab, hit CTRL-F to get a search window, and then just change the search term whenever you want to check if there's a clue for something in particular, like "RE7" or SM8."

7:10 pm

ty, joy...i know how to do it...

oh, but I do have the re7/32, peri. it's a word we have before that makes you think of a snake or lizard but doesn't mean that at all

7:18 pm

i thought we had had it before....it didn't help, lol....it's one of the three words i have left...

7:19 pm

Anyone have all 3 PO6,24? I have a type of plant and a the one that means think, but I'm missing the middle one.

7:19 pm

Joy, I think people are more interested in immediate results

7:19 pm

i am missing one ...the first one...

7:20 pm

I think so too Molly, but I know I'm reluctant to clue something that's been clued previously, and I think others are too, so it may be hard to get those immediate results.

7:21 pm

Pen is the second one a normal word?

7:23 pm

sorry, i am missing the second one as well...

7:25 pm

just found it...normal word

only P I have left is a pe7

7:28 pm

one of the PE7s was a weird word. I only got it because someone clued it

ok, that must be it.

7:28 pm

i only have one left to find...i do have the pe 7 if you want a clue...

of course it doesn't make sense based on points and order in list that I haven't found it.

sure, thanks, pen

7:29 pm

it has four vowels in it....ends with a three letter word...

ok, finally monkeyed it, thx

is the OP8 a regular word?

nm

7:31 pm

Yes....

7:31 pm

yes, italian but normal for most of us....

7:32 pm

i am done....

good work. 4 left here - an A and 3 T's

7:32 pm

ty...

7:35 pm

i bet your A ends like the en 8....

7:35 pm

congrats pen

7:35 pm

ty...

it was an a5 and I looked it up. I swear I tried that.

7:35 pm

oh well....been there... ;o)

7:36 pm

tr 8 was my last word...

I have ta5 and 7 and tr6

7:37 pm

the ta words are related, i think....one is a pt....

7:38 pm

normal words...

yeah, once again should be easy with the points and yet I can't get it.

also just at solid on the bee

7:39 pm

haven't tried the bee yet today...

got the ta's. ridiculous I couldn't see those

7:40 pm

the tr 6 must be the word that is part of the in 8....

and I remembered the tr

7:40 pm

I've got 3 TRs left to find but otherwise done, so I can clue a bit if anyone needs.

7:40 pm

i am done thanks....

done now too but thanks

7:41 pm

yw...congrats....

7:41 pm

congrats too carla

7:41 pm

heading out to the Bee, I guess.....bye all....

bye pen

I moved up to nice

going to toss my cookies to try to fix that wordle blank screen so I guess I'll get to start the bee over.
