Great substitute for buttermilk, half cup sour cream and half cup of milk, whisked. I used it in waffles this morning and they are amazing.

Actually for baking it is usually fresh milk with lemon or vinegar added to make it sour or buttermilk

not often... i just don't need milk very often at all so
my favorite cake recipe is from the great depression and doesn't use milk or eggs, so that helps
i don't buy milk much either

I buy ccream and half an half often. Milk only when the grands will be here.
for me the dairy is pretty much confined to cheese and spray whipped cream at this point
