lol, no, but, now that you mention it, that is pretty maddening
my frustration was about the problem of high schools and kids having cell phones
just had a debrief meeting about this past year, and i argued that there needs to be a school-wide standard that when you go into a class you deposit your phone in a slot, because just saying "no phones in class" does diddly squat. was basically told it's hopeless, nothing's going to happen, we just have to live with kids constantly texting and playing games ...
That sucks. Your way makes sense!
the thing is, if a kid refuses to give up their phone, they're not really imposing any consequences for it
so basically the kids are just ... in charge
