for someone who gets it a lot from motion I sure do miss it every single time
thx
hmm, so me8 is my only missing M
did the spelling bee folks get all 6 pangrams yesterday? I somehow did but still only got to amazing.
i got 2 pangrams but again i do not have an account so it cuts me off
got the me8!
yeah, I wondered how many it let you do since it was a lot of words/points
geat
sorry!
Thanks for the me8
it is ok, it does not count anyway :)
speaking of cats, i had a very exciting day yesterday. my neighbors' cat had been missing for like a week and yesterday i noticed my Fritz meowing weirdly and saw that he had a puffy tail. i went outside to see and there was a cat the same colors as the one missing, so i said, "are you Figaro?" and he said "meow!" and he was talking towards me so i figured i could also walk towards him. and he let me pick him up! so i brought him back to his house and the guy and his lil grandson were happy - his wife would be even more happy, so i hear, but she was out searching for the cat at the time!
bottom row grey!
Great rescue, Hurshy!
yeah i was so happy! i had been worrying about him
I do not like seeing missing pets signs or on-line posts. They make me sad and anxious.
there was a Brady Bunch ep where Peter rescued a little girl from a falling bookcase, and the girl's mom went overboard rewarding him til he got a big head. so i told fritz, "you're a hero, Fritz, but i'm not going to buy you every toy in the store, because i don't want you to get full of yourself."
Good plan, Hurshy.
i feel the same, scrabs, sad and anxious
so it was very good to have a happy ending on this one
woot, i'm down to 7 words left!
one of them is 7 letters
6 now... 3 S, 2 C, and an i
I woke up at 5, read a bit, went back to sleep, then woke up from a high school nightmare.
oh, yuck, sorry to hear that scrabs
phantom: sesame
No one believed that I had further degrees, so I was taking Physics, English, PE class, etc.
i feel like i've had similar dreams to that
I've had dreams like that as well.
and then i've also had college ones, where i realize it's a week or more into the semester and i have forgotten to go to any of my classes and can't find my schedule or remember what i was taking
hopefully that does not ruin your whole day scrabs :)
Ditto for me
Oh, yes. Or there is an exam that day and you never knew. Or you can't remember where your locker is or, if you do, the combination of the lock.
I can't remember where I parked the car
Well, I do like Physics and Math, but not English. And the entire HS social atmosphere sucks.
That happens to me at least once a week, bichon, and then I am convinced my car has been stolen.
when i was still IN school i would have dreams during summer vaca that i was on the bus headed for the first day of the new year and had no notebooks, pencils, etc. but ONE time my conscious rational mind was able to intrude, i thought, "but wait, you haven't had your birthday yet, so it can't be the first day of school, this must be a dream." and i woke up!
Last week I visited my friends twin HS-grads and so all this HS-college stuff is churning in my head.
that makes sense
Lucid dreaming is so much fun.
Why do I have tulips growing in my yard. It's July and I never planted them
lucky you bichon!
Squirrels dug them up somewhere then buried them in your yard.
usme
Not a word.
I found you missing 7, hursh.
ooh what is it
ch7.40
well i have that, are there two of them?
no.
Maybe it's ca7.32?
yes that'll be it
i tried caseate earlier but that's not there
use the sugar suffix
ty!

found a pair of S words! down to 3!, CSI
I need to wake up and see these words. My head is still in my HS nightmare.
tea!
hello scrabbler. coincidentally, saw a program on letchworth yesterday
Ah, I was there hiking 2 days ago. Every time I visit I am amazed with geology.
i love samantha brown's travelogs. she is very down to earth. the trail for those with autism was fascinating.
i did not think it was close to you.
45 minute drive.
'morning, babblers
meat
Free clue for you, welki.
i am supposed to be getting ready to travel. i had a rea covid contact last saturday, but tested negative on thursday. dr said okay to be around vulnerable people if no symptoms.
morning
i guess the late booster a month ago is working.
Wear a N95 mask when indoors--safest for you and others.
flip side: too risky to NOT wear an N95 when indoors.
we're still waiting to be eligible for our fourth shot - the government has stopped all but online reporting, it's as though the pandemic is over. but it's not, not by a long shot.
negative test. fully vaxxed. no further recommendations. he is pretty conservative. outdoors today and the baby will not be there.
because there is no official guidance, folks are giving us looks like we're pariahs for wearing masks. we still have a positivity rate of nearly 13%
i still mask in the market and indoor music venues.
and test after large events, though not after the big outdoor festival mid june
We had three covid deaths in our county in June. I mask everywhere.
we're planning a trip to southern quebec the last week of august. haven't seen the kids in 3 years, the oldest has rented a house and we'll all meet there
it's time to go.happy babbling for those who are.
How wonderful, welki!
i am not taking any chances of getting sick before our trip - or after our trip :)
bye, owl - enjoy your trip!
Agreed, welki. With BA5 and BA2.75 taking over it is too risky to not wear a N95 when indoors. Rapid tests are unreliable and typically not positive until days 4-5 of COVID.
i've never done a rapid test. we always use pcr.
through county government
we have stacks of rapid tests in our house - from school and work.
it's almost impossible to get a pcr test here
5 days after exposure is the guidance
hey harry
we were going through them pretty fast when the kids had covid.
gm welki!
not only do i get a pcr test but it's at the mall :)
Yes, PCR is most accurate test.
and i have a gift card for charley's steaks!
hi harry
hi TO
PCR - Please Charley, Rare!
and the person who was positive was going to do a band gig the next day!!!
i keep seeing assuage and assume
It is sad, Owl, how many people with COVID intentionally expose others.
well to be fair, many cases are mild. if i did not have allergies and know it, and that my pills wear off at dose time, i would swear i had it.
And many cases are asymptomatic.
he was sick monday and played on saturday night.tested the next day because wife was sick. the place saturday was open sided high ceilinged. but at break he sat down beside me. i did not think
but my friend in the band was freaking out.
so it was a good wakeup call, since nothing more has come of it over a week later per test.
time to go. i have made a chess pie and am bringing roasted carrot sumac hummus. scrabbler, you would love it.
Yum.
made at the nearby food coop. it is yummy. but not as yummy as lemon chess pie ;)
the carrots make it so sweet
do you have chess pie at knight?
Babble's Official Punster has entered the room.
missing the first column N. is it obvious?
yes.
you'll feel sick when you see it harry
ty ru
nbt
welcome back.. you've been gone for a while
yes - summertime - fewer obligations
I was doing serpentine a bit, but it's kind of obnoxious.
what's your call name in serpentine?
it's tricky: HarryHood
i've never seen you in serpentine..we must play at different times
I'm pretty spotty there. I get frustrated when I lose lots of rating points.
anyone able to clue the 8?
yes please
like the sting song, 'something in a bottle,' with an extra vowel thrown in just to make the word completely absurd
wow.. never have seen that before. thanks welki
good clue. thanks
Hm, I am trying to figure out that extra vowel.
maybe it is a foot rub while you're listening to your answering machine
Monkey finally found it after 7 tries.
good clue but oh brother!!
New word for me, Meatball.
good morning everyone :)

Quiets so, thanks

Add a vowel in the bird, Mkg, to make an em4 and and em5

FIREWORXXX!!!
Yay bleu!
well done!
back for my last 60, or maybe not :)
me
sorry
just looked up the ME8. when I was playing this morning no one acted like that was weird. y'all are some word nerds.
me8,60 ?-- last one
monkey typing doesn't get me any closer to the me/6--no fireworks
Fw!!
Jason, do you mean the me8? try the M in SMS, add another vowel after the double consonant
carla, when one of the early morning lot admits they went to the list for a word, they're effectively admitting that's weird.
(that the word is weird, that is)
