I've been replaying Skyrim recently. I played it on the Xbox 360 when it came out over a decade ago, and now I'm playing on PC with mods for the first time.
It's just as awesome as I remember it being. Loving it so much.

hokie, i sent email asking if you've ever had success making your own gluten-free pasta. my neighbor wants to make pasta/ lasagna noodles for his girlfriend, but can't find a good mix/mixture. (i had the barilla gluten-free spaghetti and it was great)
oh, I only check that one if someone reminds me to. I've never made pasta, GF or with gluten in my previous life. I do like the barilla. They have a good no-boil lasagna one as does Mueller's, I just buy whichever one I can find.

there is a canadian brand of GF stuff that I think is terrible, but now I can't remember it. I just know it has french and english on the box.

yeah, that's how I know it's canadian. 😃 but it's more prominent than other brands, like kinnikinnick (which I like)
they came over for dinner a couple of times last week (he's rebuilding our deck and i promised to feed him) - she kept apologizing for the trouble of GF cooking, but i found it to be fun, and really no trouble at all
I see where she's coming from. I feel high maintenance and don't want people to have to do extra work. our new neighbors invited us to dinner and I didn't say anything at first because I panicked. I was going to just not eat anything. mr. homie was like, you have to tell her.

it's just a pain. and people without celiac don't realize that stuff like a tub of butter can be contaminated.
i did a dinner for two vegetarians, one vegan, one gluten free and one diabetic .. it was a bit challenging
to me, out of the three, diabetic cooking is the most difficult if cooking for a crowd - balancing carbs/protein/fat can be frustrating
LOL, that was like our camping group. we had celiac, diabetic, vegetarian, vegan, and lactose intolerant. plus one lady couldn't eat red onions because it made her RA flare up.
and you try to be discreet about the menu
i take that back - they're all challenging in their own way, but i have vegetarian kids, am diabetic myself and would have to tweak ingredients for vegan
what's frustrating to me (and other celiac people) is that people and restaurants are more accommodating and understanding to vegetarians, and that's almost always a preferential choice they have made, not a medically forced diet, like GF for celiac.
the vegan was the hardest for me.. I tried to come up with protein that would work
cooking up here is a challenge in itself because of the scarceness of good quality, fresh ingredients - i have to shop in several stores

I have a friend who is GF just on a whim.
I had tofu for the first time ever the other night in a meal kit we accidentally got. it wasn't bad, but wasn't my favorite.
i just don't know how you can eat tempeh
it's different if you have an issue like celiac or Krohns
i've found that here, too - big diff in choosing GF and being gluten intolerant
i like tofu and tempeh
yeah, that's the problem. a lot of people think all GF people are just a whim. but it's stupid if you don't have those issues. it's not any healthier. I'm actually the heaviest I've ever been right now.

and I like that restaurants have more options, but they really don't for people with celiac because they don't make an effort to keep the cross-contamination out. like, why bother offering those options if the people who need it the most can't have it?

The last ch7 is like the preceding ch6, but with an extra vowel

Actually, you can get both of the ch7/36 by adding a vowel to the ch6/24
(different vowels, different placement)
