Morning all, hope you're all having a nice day x
stats for the middle lone E on fifth column pls, it's driving me mad!
Just found it this second! ek7/48
Looked up to see your plea. Sorry you had to wait so long, ha! Now for the lower lone E...
That one was easier, whew. es5/10
okay, made it to 200, have nb this and nb that, with half of the other, etc, etc. Good enough for me! laters, all! ♥
bye rbud and thanks for the tip for the E - still looking but at least I've got a start!
Yay! So happy for a big grid.
good morning all. hel with Middlle i please
NM
I predict the third row E will be the most asked for word of the day. I have no clue how people just "find" words like that. I had to look it up.
I got it by accident - I was getting frustrated and just monkeyed and slammed my keyboard and whallah, there it was LOL LOL
crikies!
No intelligence is needed for this game. Just endless random typing. ðŸµ
kitchy.
Harry is all about misspelled words today
all the words from tv. colonel from MASH used to use ki7 all the time
I still do😊
hah
halfway through first pass. bbl
It's a very 1920-ish word like nifty and swell.
help with po8 or fo8 please
no po words
I meant pe8
hi phaeton, hello all
the fo8 is more of an fo4/11
most I mean not more
ah ty
dont' have the pe8
ok
pe8 a
Pe8 ends in one of the golden things over McDonald's
aah, ty
I monkeyed it. add sometimes vowel for pe9
Well I guess you didn't need a clue then
I was tryiing to clue it
I did Molly, I did ty
missing 4 of the 8 letter words
and lots of others
but I have found over 200 words so far
You were cluing it? I thought you asked for it
I did ask for it, found it and was trying to clue it
stuck with 116 left
fo8 is stupid
it is
All the definitions take you to fo4/11y not fo8
morning all
morning
trouble right off the bat with the L
hey hursh
hey
big board for a friday
howdy folks
I started on the columns today, so haven't looked at the L yet
hey hoke
yeah, I do columns first...not sure why
moooo
I go back and forth
maybe I should try that
as in I'll do columns for a few days and then I'll do rows for a few days
yeah, I should try mixing it up :)
still need 7 r's, though, so not going very well this direction either
yeah, still need 6 Rs on that first column
I decided to just go for 50% today
The lo7 and 8 are weird
I'm sure hurshy will find them immediately now (not sarcasm)🤣
Agreed
And then say "duh"
lol
ugh, why so many p's? why are p's always so hard?
I am sick of overloaded P tiles
me too. you'd think we knew all the p words now.
most p's are supposed to be hard hokie (you set me up for that one)
I did have that p already
Especially that pe5
if it's hard to p, shouldn't you see a doctor?
oh lord, what have I stepped into?
Caca
still need 12 p's, but moving on

are you okay, dorens?
hoh dear
Here we go
y'all, you have broken dorens with your p talk
Well just don't break anyone's p
p'ed her off?
oh sorry. sitting outside on q shady balcony at the shore. not seeing the screen so well. apologies, all
not p'd off at all
Oh gee, sorry life is so tough these days
100 to go
ugh, 46 c's
221 left here
C and P, it's a dead heat for most tedious letter
agreed
it helps to have good friends, Molly. so far I've had two trips to maine, one to Martha's Vineyard and now the Jersey shore- all to friends' and families. I'm not complaining
jealous molly?
Jealous of what?
of being near the ocean?
No
oh ok.. i misunderstood your comment then
Sounds like Dorens has a lot of generous friends
it's because she's such a nice person
well, turns out I'm better at the P than the C
I am indeed very fortunate. I thought my son was nuts when he bought this tiny house on a cove up in Deer Isle Maine but I certainly enjoy it. (Just not the 8 -9 hour drive to get there)
It is not like you to misunderstand sarcasm Ru. Do we need to send you to the sensitive room? 😋
lol
carpentise - to make something out of wood
I can't go to the sensitive room, everyone in there hates me
lol
that's very insensitive of them
Oh well then don't go. They might throw their pink satin pillows at you.
antirofl - against humor
I wonder if they just object to the rolling on the floor part, maybe they're lmao tolerant
who' is in that room anyway?
maybe
it's a fair question saani
not me, I don't care what y'all say
someone is throwing pink satin pillows!
i think the Cs are worse than the Ps
I think the room is empty
so not just me, hurshy
it's not me. i just got here.
also i haven't gotten the lo7/8
well it's empty and full...it'll only be determined once we observer it
agreed, mool
not a fan of this 2nd col E either
the second column e boosters are going to be very disappointed hoke
If it's empty and full maybe Shrodinger's cat is in there.
hmm, will have to think about that subtle hint for a while
did you guys see the thing about how the OceanGate former accountant had quit after the lead submersible pilot quit and the CEO dude asked her to become the pilot when she had like no background in that
no, so she was the pilot? or not?
no, she refused and quit even being the accountant
I haven't really paid attention to it to be honest, but on the surface, that sounds pretty sus
ah
and there was something else about some of the engineers being teenagers
well, I know they used some kind of gaming keyboard, but you don't have to be a teenager for that
and being paid $15/hr
not really how one expects serious engineering to be done
don't have the big L set but wondering what the 3rd one I'm missing is so I can move on.
a 6, carla
the set is a trio
can we have a clue?
oh, thanks bea. I might just move on.
or wait for the clue :D
not when you're paying millions to go on the vessel
yeah, that whole story is just crazy
lo + white grain with a different end vowel
thanks, bea
for the 6 obv
got the 6 and 7, still looking for the 8
woot woot, ty bea!
sounds like a verb hoke
how about the upper right E?
looked it up, but thanks
hey top row gray :D
Honestly, when I got that O it made me so happy! ;)
big Free Willy fan?
Is that to me? No.
just happy because it was an easy word?
:)
oh yeah, I have a grey top too
Just happy because a row is gray.
so yeah anyone have that upper right E? and what is the 9, please? :)
Stats for that top right E please?
no and no :)
jinx, champ!
nope
still on 3rd col
ek7/48
oh geez
oh good, an easy one
well that's the sort of thing that should be easy to get via morewords then
just found a lower E that I recall dorens entering in the chat. not sure why I didn't type it in then.
lol, it is the LESS weird of the two ek7s that morewords returns
Oh for goodness sake!!! Guess I'll give it a whirl for a bit....
well, the other one is foreign money, so I'm sure it'll show up in here eventually
I hope you memorized both
checked the flip, the 9 is pe
I need to go look for some more pe5s
like IRL, not in the grid
might want to be careful saying that hoke
aHA
rule by 5
I mean perhaps that's what she does mean, but maybe wants to keep that to herself
pe5/16, not pe5/12. get your minds out of the gutter. ruru must have left.
oh hokie.. you are just killling me today
there he is
I'm good at throwing up softballs
lmao
or maybe rofl
be careful, ruru doesn't know what you're saying, moo
oh true
I was just thinking of rofl, till I realized it wasn't a word! I'm losing it.
because he's never seen a text/internet acronym before
he's so innocent
unsullied by acronyms...aka uba
well, champ...rotl is a word, but yes. rofl seemed real to me too.
LOL
it's not that I've seen them hokie, it's just that I'm not lazy enough to use them or wanting to use them.
Oh, yes. "Innocent" is the word that comes to mind when I think of ru.
Some of us are hopelessly old fashioned and actually type out whole words. And yes Ru, not lazy typists.
A babe in the woods, Origami.
amost angelic don't you think ori?
I almost used one that we use all the time at my other internet place, but then realized no one would know it. ISYDU
I See Your Dirty Undies?
ha. I'm sorry you don't understand
I guess formica is a proper noun?
Registered trademark
that floored me too hokie
I may have tried it too :)
ruru countering with a pun
Nice one hokie
You can elaminate me from the pun contest.
solid pun on the surface
i know you can go on ad linoleum about the subject
as long as no one pulls the rug out from under you
finally finished first pass. 84 left. I think I have HOET.
53 left here
exciting finish just now to the tour de france femmes
I'm sure it would take my breath away if I was the least bit interested in bike racing
well, there were 2 in a breakaway and the big group (peloton) was about 6 seconds behind with like 600m to go. one of the leaders held on to win, but the group caught up and passed the other. also there was a big crash in the peloton near the end, but it was in the middle of the group.
would anyone clue the pe 8/9 combo.. i sure dont' see one
was just looking again myself. but didn't know there was an 8 involved. will try again, but doubt that will help.
yeah, I got nothing
pe8 is the prefix for 5 and the curved top of a door opening.
i just got them.
thanks bea
ah, thanks
the 9 was not the ending I was looking for
yw
that closes out the p for me.
still need 5 Ps!
me too
but still need 12 c's
I mean...I still need 3 P's :)
the grids have been heavy on the p's and c
I mean I still need 1 p...(thx BB for the clue on the 8)
someone guess my missing H?
houdini
hy4
I have one
ha5?
but good guess as you know I usually miss looking at y as 2nd letter
is that a merchant guild, moo?
yeah
(had to look at def)
then nope
(me too, and then had to click again since it was an alt sp)
(me too)
now just need 6 c's
4 C's pour moi
5 now. have found some weird ones
good morning all -- don't really have time for a whopper to day, but will start
hey nan
I recommend just skipping the C and P
hey nan
4OFOET
but I do have 7 tiles that need 4 :)
finished.. what a tough grid especially the p's and c's
well done, ruru
nice one ru2
down to 4 c's and 5 p's plus all the rest
nice, ru.
still 42 left for me, though fortunately only 5 PCs
59 here. still 7 F's and 5 on a couple others
6 A
It was hard, but Ru pushed his way through with his head erect
ROFL
half way on the p's and c's but stalling out
at a loss on this upper F, still 6 therre
4 more there
there is a stupid 8 in that f
the silverware one?
of course
yes
the spanish party
I have tried one who fe5 several times and it's still not taking
maybe type slower
the horse carriage fi + land measure
did not have that one, thanks
oh, didn't have that one
fi6/7 combo
been trying to use the most. that is indeed stupid. thanks.
can't find the f 8 that begins with the silverware -- just see that fornicate is a phantom :)
the beer barrels :)
comparative nan
superlative, actually
there you go
I like latives that are super
I don't wanna be that nerd, but I guess I am
I respect the nerd
ty - it is a silly word
so the fi6/7 combo bea mentioned is different from the other 2 fi6's she gave us?
yes
the fi6/7 are beer barrels
I do have 3 fi6 but no 7
hmm
oh, then I guess I'm missing an fi6
okay, monkeyed those. not sure I've ever seen that
because the 6/7 combo includes a plural
you are prob missing fi6/39
there are 5 fi6
I made that one up and it took
the 6.39 is the beer barrels
well, down to 2 f's now, one of which is an fi6.
no, I have 2 fi6/39
one is like a european polecat. yes, I had to look that up.
thought beer barrels were kegs
how about the one that is a balled hand and most of frozen water
well, going to have to break with 44 left. 11-12-8-8-5 M4 F2 H C4 K4 R3 A3 T2 i2 F P5 E4 N4 S5 a lot of work cut out for me. or not.
oh, that's from the other F, and that was what I needed, thanks.
Can't say I have ever seen the beer barrel word before
yeah, I needed that one too (finished that F)
12-10-5-7-3
And yes Nan, beer barrels are kegs. Unless you are British
is the beer barrel one a 6/39?
yes
I have one, but there is no def. for it
this has a defintion
just checked
oh - the one I have is like a polecat
I don't believe I have any polecatw
it ws a new on for me
5-6 combo - ends with something you scratch
clue for the other one please?
ah, just found it
Oh my God. Alert Ru. I looked up synonyms for polecat and one of them was wood pu5 (that word we aren't allowed to say here because it's a "trigger". Even if you are referring to a cat)
well if I was to translate what it looks like, it looks like it could be literal name for a tree that is in the family of conifers :)
so it begins with the conifer but doesn't end like the polecat?
got it - and we have seen it before!
ty mool
stats for the lone e's please?
bottom is es5
ek7 on the right
not that I have found it yet
7/48 if I recall correctly
it ends in the eye twitch
sty bea
looking for the es 5 now
is the es 5 a common word?
yes
found - ty
gave me another f as well :)
okay, back while I eat lunch
I had to look the ek7 up. It is a very weird word
must be from greek
missing one t on the right - any guesses?
the ek7 is an adj if that helps
to5/10, nan
tx hoke, that did help
now my right flank is grey
I knew it would help you, if anyone
same
ty carla - right column closed
but haven't found any words on my lunch break
I'm not sure that knowing it has Greek origin will help too many people
no, I said it was an adj. someone else said greek
yes, "it's basic greek, hello!" is a thing I'm known for.
Yes, I was responding to the greek comment. Maybe if the word was opa!
It's all greek to me
looked like it was maybe anthropology related
yet more greek
sociology, architecture, and environment.
The science of human settlements.
yep :)
well, back to whatever I'm going to do that's not this. hasta luego.
ciao
down to 125 - later maybe
ar

he was here earlier
ok missed him while i was taking a nap :)

8 letter words...ar, ca, ch, cr, fo, lo, mi, pe, pr, re
And some of them are really dumb
mikefest - a group of michaels
I was almost named michael
you could've gone to mikefest
indeed
or maybe it's for microphone enthusiasts
anything's possible
in our hypotheticals
t'is true

just found one that I am shocked he included
ok, not shocked because of the inconsistency, just very surprised
oh, finally saw the pangram
no tappet either
apparently he doesn't work on engines
I am only 8 words from queen bee
nice, and you said I was 2?
yep, 27 total
interesting...not seeing much at this point
yeah, I think I'm going to get back to work here. hopefully will see these last 10 later.
yeah, I'm gonna go doing something slightly more productive
Hi all. Clue for the 9 out there? Please and ty.
I am not seeing the 9. Perhaps it is two words? All help welcome. Ty
NM found it.
Ty
would you mind cluing the 9?
Could use help with ek 7 word. Is it a common word?
The 9: same first 4 as word before it, and than add to that an architectural or mathmatical word that forms a semi circle for the 8, then add sometimes vowel to end for the 9
e+ most of smooch, ends with the tail end of a stretchy band
Sajarn, my friend who lost a son, told me it is like having an arm or leg amputated. But i think it is worse, far worse. I have not experienced it but my daughter has a very ill son and she lives iwth the horror of what tomorrow can bring.
Ty sajarn. I got the e and most of smooch but not sure what the tail end of a stretch band is. A band is a circle so what is the end?
Got that ek word. Ty for clues. Got the band part. Ty.
think of a sewing notion put around a waist band to cause it to stretch.
As to losing a child, it is an ever present feature of a parent's life. there is always pain. however, over time-its been eight years for me, the instances that induce pain don't happen as often or last as long, but the pain is always acute, sharp and piercing. Mostly now, I just miss my girl, what might have been. But I will see her again and for that, I am grateful.
I'm sorry, sajarn.
thank you.
i have been working on this all day and still have 57...
I cant even get half way Bea. That is my goal and not there.
Back for my last 51. Or not. We shall see!
afk
Just got half way. Whew. Good luck to all of you.
Pear
oops
Sorry all. And off til tomorrow.
tada!! whew! took me most of the day
WooHOO for you!!!
Good for all of you who finished. I just don't have all day to work on these big ones.
Any clue for the ar8 please?
OK got it thanks
It's like everyone is Peri
that fo4 is messing with me!
which one?
there's only 3 and they're all regular words.
the one that means to mold. in the last syllable.
so the fo6 you need?
I'm confused about how you're being messed with
still have 10 left here with the list
no. i am just not expecting the fo4 in the last syllable. i;m still looking for 41.
you will be happy to know the a's are giving me fits.
I'm not getting the confusion about the fo4 either
the ar8.65...wasn't expecting that fo4 at the end, that's all. no drama, just a dull brain.
sometimes its not as straight forward...
ohhhh, now I get it. and thanks, that was one of my 10s.
never seen that before.
there you go.
I thought you were saying you had an fo4 you couldn't find.
10, not 10s
and that helped with my last A, the AC7
Me too, the post was that fo4 is messing with me
glad my weird brain helpsed.
or helped
well, once you explained it :P
lol...follow the bouncing ball. frustrating for me as well.
Weird ball
94 left will not finish this one
51 left here
hey, nellie
and no surprise, a third of them are 6s
I have 31 all in the last two row
any help with the ca8?
where do you keep you gf flour?
in my overflow pantry, which is a cabinet in my laundry room.
well, put it in a ca8!
that was a great clue. a personalized clue.
I must be really dense then, because I still can't think of a word.ðŸ˜
rhymes with the rail that runs along your stairway
a cantainer? lol. a cake mix? a cabinet?
the conatiner for flour sugar coffee tea
ah, thanks, both
starts with a tin ca*.....
cintainer
carla! LOL
finally monkeyed the ca6/7 that I've never seen but bea surely knows
but going to have to look up the ep6/7 unless someone has a super easy clue
ends with part of the foot...
and add the sometimes vowel to the end for the 7....
thanks, pen!
yw...
yes, i know the ca6/7. they are developing on my pecan trees.
ok, down to 3 RE words
I am missing the re8
I'm on the list now and down to 7
me too. I know the first 4 letters.
me too
ohhh
it ends in the 4-letter word that ends other long words in this grid
of course, thanks
that is the re 8 i was fusing about.
I thought you were fussing about the ar8
fussing
well that one too
I thought you were fussing about the ar8
lol
I have a blind spot for the ti5 on so many grids
I have 21 left. may just say good night...
okay, just the re7/40 that I can't find
or the te5 that is its anagram
done!
you can do it, bea!
well done, nellie
re7/40... fix those torn jeans again
ah, thanks
gotta run!
thanks!
i'm out with 20
bye all
