oh, it is. several years ago my friends & I trained for a mini triathlon and one of them tried to help the rest of us with our swimming. I don't move at all forward with a kickboard. she was baffled.
i think there are also people who just walk in pools, the resistance of the water makes it more exercise than walking through air

yeah, we had a pool at our last house and I used to do my own walking/running/water aerobics workouts
Yes walking is good. I do a combo of one mile of swim and then a combo of exercizes involving walking backwards, and other exercises wtih arms etc.
literally every time I cross the pool it's just trying not to drown
Since i am getting older and not younger i hope this is keeping my body in decent shape.
