Well,38 left to go for me, guess I'll come back later after I get some studying done. Good night, all.
morning babblers
*nominates hursh for finding the best phantom for today (behemoth)*
Morning all. Please may I have stats for the lone E in the second row, fourth column?
hi matty
Hi Sprite!
let me see, I have it, now to discover which word it was
de4/6 ed4/6
I'll probably end up smacking myself with a dead fish
Thank you! Let the smacking commence
not really, not a common word. *grins* Unless you are japanese.
Which I am most emphatically not ;)
me neither! Studied it though, so somehow ed4 still rings a bell for me
I can count to 10 in Japanese. I can say yes. I can say 'no problem' and, of course, 'hello' but that's about it
well, you are pretty good then! And of course, in babble, the word has nothing to do with japan at all, it is some sort of corn or taro. But it is the way I remember to put it in.
Hopefully, i shall now remember it too!
you will! And if not, you will just ask and some willing soul will clue it
True dat! Up to anything exciting this cloudy (at least it's cloudy here) Saturday?
not me. I am sick as a dog. Felled by the flu. Even typing hurts, lol.
how about you?
Oh no! I hope you have a speedy recovery!
Nothing exciting here - I had an early start for a Saturday as the double glazing window guy came to do a minor repair...before 8am. My life is so exciting (not)! :D
thank you :)
ugh that is very early. Exciting enough for me ;)
fireflies. Easy peasy today. Apart from the biggies, lol, but that is normal for me. *hugs* matty, have a lovely day. *leaves hug in chog for rose to find* POOF
Have a great one!
E's have always been my nemesis and that single E in the 4th column is doing my head in! Anyone got the stats pls?
ed4/6
I know this, because I asked for the same stats an hour ago ;)
Ta Matty
Fireworks - I'm outta here - have a great day all
wtg!
hi all. Is there a clue for be6 please?
be + he4/5
thank you. xxx
Good morning, my Babble friends.
Winter is finally arriving here, and the wife and I are deep into week number two of COVID. Our lungs sound like swamp water has been pumped through them. You can hear the wheezing, whistling and crackling from across the room as we breathe. :(
been sick here, too, sounds similar. ((((hugs)))) to you and the ailing mrs.
(((rbud)))
Taking so much Ventolin and symbicort that I think we just paid off some pharma ceos mortgage.
do what you have to in order to keep on breathing, till we come out the other end! At least that's been my philosophy the last few years. I've spent a lot if time with my little nebulizer machine, it's my best friend. :\
May have to look into a nebulizer.
a plus with those is that they not only turn the meds into a mist, but send them along with extra air. Helps a lot.
Sending healing thoughts to you and your wife, crosshair
Ty, Christa. :)
de5 please?!
someone who believes in god
thank you
hello all
Howdy, aslindy. :)
Anyone who stood outside waiting for stores to open today is crazy. It is nasty cold out.
I have never wanted anything badly enough to do Black Friday shopping.
we do a lot of shopping online
Mr. Bea and I bought new living room furniture for each other for Christmas.
20 years ago or so it was fun, stores would give away goody bags to the first few hundred customers. we would plan out which stores to hit first, go really early in the morning, shop for a while then go out for breakfast - my mom, my sisters and sisters in law and I.
20 years ago, there were a lot less people in this country. Now, everywhere you go is a madhouse.

I don't want to buy anything.
Except I bought the collected poetry of Delmore Schwartz yesterday. It's b
probably good the expanded bookstore moved two blocks farther away.
It sad that there are so few book stores these days.
first le5 please?
Cambridge used to have an uncountable amount of bookstores. Groliers, a poetry store, has been hanging on since 1927- I think. I should have bought Felmore there.
Harvard Bookstore is there, but Wordsworth, Reading International, Moor and McIntyre, Schoenhoff's foreign books and a block devoted to vintage is not there. Come get them while they're still not banned.
le + --- Franklin
thank you
It's not just banning. People don't read "real" books anymore. It's sad.
Another great Cambridge book store is Porter Square Books! (1815 Mass Ave.)
I love a bookcase. I think its so homely. I do have an ereader but prefer a real book. Near me someone has put an old shop freezer near the train station and everyone can take books and put books in. Its all free.

ok so fo7 and so7 were called at the flip, anyone have the third 7?
there are 2 Fo7s
There are two fo 7's
I haven't found fo7,44 yet
Guys who like sole
duh... thanks
Or guys who are digitally inclined?
geez, have none of you watched Downton Abbey?
I'm surprised that wasn't a Rex Ryan clue
not in awhile.
Oh. That’d would have been good
I feel like a heel for missing that
Fo7 are almost always in fights
They have a lot of arch-enemies
or guys that like to play the other fo7
Exactly
90%!
it's amazing how much easier it is to find words when you're not half asleep
3 left, any help: be6, de5, em5
Be6 a directive in a will
de5 one who believes in God but like pretty much just a "clockmaker" God, set the universe going and then lets it run without interfering
em 6 is the plural of an em5
So they believe in seconds?
which em5 toad? there's 5/14 first and then 5/12 later
first one
E plus sew
be6 just always makes me think of Spock's line in Star Trek VI... "at the be6 of the Vulcan ambassador, i opened a dialogue with Chancellor Gorkon"
Spock was my favorite Star Trek character.
naturally
Spock IS Star Trek
I was fond of Scottie also
of course
"hello computer"
"ah, a KEYboard. how quaint."
And my all-time favorite (said often): I just can't do it, Captain. I don't have the power.
He's dead Jim
I loved Star Trek, for which I receive endless teasing from Ru.
Space nerds
I never got the whole Star Trek obsession
hi all
i like a quote from a fellow called John Green: "...because nerds like us are allowed to be unironically enthusiastic about stuff. Nerds are allowed to love stuff, like jump-up-and-down-in-the-chair-can’t-\ncontrol-yourself love it... when people call people nerds, mostly what they’re saying is ‘you like stuff.’ Which is just not a good insult at all. Like, ‘you are too enthusiastic about the miracle of human consciousness’.â€
i forget, what makes the chat put in the \n ??
usually it's in URLs
Endless text without spaces
ah
Next gift from Ru to Origami, Star Trek Crocs
star trek yes, crocs not so much, at least from my POV
but maybe origami loves crocs and you know that and i didn't?
Crocs and Star Trek. Oy.
i have two pairs of crocs. one is the like usual style, was a gift from someone who didn't know me well, i don't really use them. the other is totally different - more like the jelly shoes we had back in the 80s in elementary school
it's so interesting how shoes feel different to different people... like some people swear by Danskos if you have to walk and stand a lot in your job, but i've tried them and didn't find them comfortable.
and mario batali obviously finds crocs very comfortable
I have croc-brand clogs, they are WAAAY more comfortable than any Danskos
i favor a brand CALLED Klogs
