hello all
I am not loving this grid
Morning, Babblers. :)
Hi aslindy and Crossy
how's it going
I'm back. We are buried in snow here in Buffalo. 21 inches at my house, 30+ miles south of Buffalo.
oh yes, I'd heard about the big snowfall. we have just been having cold weather, and this morning there's a slight dusting of snow. southern Wisconsin.
are you able to get out and about yet?
I have a neighbor plow my driveway but I have remained here since Thanksgiving evening. I will shop tomorrow. The storm ends this evening.
I'm glad you have someone to plow your driveway. we got a new snowblower for our new house, but it's not assembled yet. good thing we haven't had much snow, I guess.
It's easier to pay someone. We get 100-120 inches of snow every winter.
tha
hello. saw news stories about folks shoveling out the stadium so they could seat fans.
agreed. but my husband still wants to do it himself. I'm not sure what the average snow is here, yet.
Yes, Owl, when a game is here at home, people are paid to shovel snow. They get food and hor drinks too.
looks like we get about half as much snow as you, scrabbler
Lake Erie is our snow machine.
do you worry about running out of things because of weather?
I stock up before a storm. Mostly I want to have enough greens for the rabbits, haha.
yes. i was thinking about that.
They don't require greens but are happier with their twice daily salads.
not up on the rabbit population. usually just play to save time now.
though i did play while traveling when in transit.
time to go. happy day to all
Bye. Time for breakfast.
good morning everyone
fw! enjoy
'morning folks
Hello, welki
hello from Nashville where the wind chill is 28 degrees ick
did you order a new stove, bea?
hi, sophie
No. Will have a repairman out. I think it is just the thermostat.
i hope it's not too expensive to fix
Me too. Finally in the mood to bake.
my appliances at home are dated, had to replace dishwasher a few years ago, but i'm reluctant to change them when they still work fine (even though i'm pretty certain the fridge is on borrowed time)
My stove is only six years old, but I don't think it has ever worked right.
*chips in with bea for lottery tickets* wolf gas ranges for two, please (with double ovens)
That would be a dream come true.
yeah, i've had lots of kitchens, but none put together to my specs - but to be fair, i do okay in our trailer's kitchen. we make do with what we have, i suppose
My stove is 110 years old :)
I did with out any type of stove for almost a year.
It sometimes scares the hell out of me (gas stove where I have to manually light the burners and oven)
hey, nrk! nice to 'see' you!
Lucky you, nrkii
My fridge is 19 years old. My washer dryer over 20 years.
General advice from people in the know is that I should not replace any of it because the new appliances are not built to last.
That's for sure!
'tis true
No reason to procrastinate today.
Namaste
Howdy again Babblers. :) was out moving snow for a bit--two feet of snow in 24 hours and still falling. I must give kudo to our town plws though because everything remains open in town even though most of the big highways are a disaster.
Plows*
morning all
Thanks for the update, crossy. Our in-town plows do a great job for us too when we have snow. Stay warm!
