yeah, really sad indeed. Still, they are starting to be at peace with it so that is good. The motored wheelchair is a game changer.
the acceptance is so important to them. and with the wheelchair came just a touch more freedom and independence.
When I need a wheel chair later in life I am going to be hell on wheels

i couldn't believe it when Don came home earlier. we have already qualified for free medications for the rest of the year. i think the government lowered to ceiling amount we had to spend on meds due to the financial struggle low income earners are having.
that is good news
such a relief. some of my meds have been quite expensive. we still have to pay for those ones, but at a greatly reduced rate.
it really helps if you do not have to pay the whole bunch
i don't know how the americans can afford their meds. i haven't heard any statistics yet, but i wonder how many people are dying because they cannot access the meds they need.

My hope is that the parents who haven't yet vaxed their kids will reconsider. My brother-in-law is anti-vax, but when one of his daughters landed in critical care from COVID, and another developed a heart problem from her case of COVID, he has reconsidered and now promises to get them vaxed.
i also did get measles once after the vax, but again years and years

yes. Both daughters are teens, and even now they are still recovering after months. The one with the heart issue is due for surgery next month to fix it.

i know because i did an internship at a hospital in the fall, and i had to get various vaxes or show that they were still active
and my measles antibodies were still doing great after all these years. i was so proud of them.
