Wow, from Toronto, the "cheap" seats to Wuhan are starting at $2000.00!

My beloved and I are debating a trip to Ireland next year should the stars align properly.
Set up base camp in Trim and just explore. :)
you should. Ireland is beautiful and bonkers
I think soodle once mentioned she has a daughter who operates a hotel in Trim. Might even get a Babble meetup.
Soodle is around, I'm hoping to meet her in Dublin soon!
Nice. :)
All U.S trips are off for us--for at least a couple of years, sadly, so time to explore other places on our bucket list.
yep, same here which is difficult seeing as my best friend lives in orgeon
I'm participating in the economic blackouts from the People's Party USA. We all do as we can to RESIST.
As a citizen of the US, I wholeheartedly support an international boycott. The only thing this administration cares about is itself and the amount of money they can grab. I boycott everything I can, contact the White House and my representatives on a regular basis but pressure from the rest of the world is so helpful. Thank you for helping us with this resistance.
I gently moved to Arlington, VA, a short walk from the Pentagon and Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall. So I'm in the thick of this nightmare. I need protect my neighbors and my self. I am grateful to have known my great-grandfather who told me all about what it was like in Germany that caused him and his sister to leave what turned out to be a week before Kristallnacht. And my mother's father who was in the US Navy in Tunisia and Italy.
And yes, and international boycott is how the hit our economy, and I'm all for that.
A better tomorrow is coming, for in the darkest of times there be light.
recently, not gently oops. Cat was walking on me.
making fi5s, making fi5s, Vendetta's always making fi5s!

So, not only is the FDA suspending food-testing programs, but it refused to publicize an E-coli outbreak in 15 states related to lettuce. Making American healthy!
We may have to stop importing U.S food. :(
Our smaller population is a bonus that make us more fluid when it comes to sourcing food. We recently closed a deal with Brazil for iranges.
Oranges.
Who closed a deal for oranges with Brazil? That doesn't sound like a government function.
There is apparently at least one major orange juice producer in Canada that already sourced its oranges from Brazil - maybe you've been reading about that?
You will have to search for It. The details of the deal escape me at the moment.
Perhaps.
Another bit of good news is the new LNG facility out west is now online. They were "priming" it last week, I believe.
There are a few countries that are happy to buy our energy--without onerous tariffs.
Trump is also planning to charge huge fees to Chinese-made ships coming into American ports with cargos, apparently in the hope that this will cause an American ship-building industry to spring up overnight. Fun fact - besides adding even more to the cost of imported goods, this will also make it more difficult and expensive to export American goods!
He is a piece of work to be sure.
Nithing like pissing off a country that holds a fortune in U.S bonds.
We own a few as well. :)
Anyways, if no clues are needed I shall be off for a bit.
Take care all, elbows up, and happy babbling!

happy Easter to those who celebrate, happy Spring to all who live in the N. hemisphere, and happy Fall to those of you "down undah"
