4 left including the 7, but crashing - - good night
ty justafreep part of your name is in the grid :)
yw. and yes. freep represents!
morning babblers
fireflies and poofing
re7 comes from an unexpected R, if that helps anyone
Not a bad grid! Hagd!
hi al. nene was one of the answer in Jeopardy Masters last night
Victoria Groce is beating Yogesh Rout
Good morning, Babblers. :) I think I have tried the word Freon a dozen times now :/
What I learned today...it is illegal to pump your own gas in New Jersey. Say what?
9 left, mostly P's
Bichon is that really you? Or the person that was posting as you the other night?
finito -thanks Atalante and all cluers
that re7 has me stumped
It is not a word most people use
I wish it wasn't illegal, but I do appreciate NOT having to get out of the car to pump my own gas.
I think it would be nice to still have it as an option. Especially for seniors and the disabled.
I remember when gas stations had SELF SERVE and FULL SERVE options.
if you have all the 5-letter words you can find the re7, Sugrraleona
it's capitalism - when it gets too expensive to support that labor force unless you make not having it illegal, those Full Serve options disappear
found it - thank you so much
top row gray!
but hit the brakes on the R
well, 5 left. will take an eye break.
five here too all r's
one re 6 left here
well, I flew through wordle and am back. I have R PP O R left
from which R, leigh?
it's the re 6/21, in that upper left corner. and i'm probably just overlooking something
yes, what you might do with a door, unless there is another I don't have.
OH FOR HEAVEN'S SAKE
thats it hookie
bahaha, thank you, hokie!

I found a P
found my missing r's

hi monty
I keep typing opener
I realize we have lost your recaps on scores Monty
found my bottom R. it was a phantom from the top R.
well, i've been negligent on those stats, sorry...but i'm not done with them...
hey ru, i follwed you in the 15 million club !
congrats
you and I will get ahead of Dart someday :D
eventually yes !
i'm sure that dr God will reinstate links to my stats if i ask

HAH
9 left, Rs and Ps ...and 1 N - bbl - have a great day ru and hokie
well, I had a many year hiatus so I'm in the 6 million club. and I am not smug.
bye monty
my hiatus has been in the iron sudoku....
bye for now - "poof"
yeah, I have only played that a handful of times in the last 15 years
The really high scores in the rankings are unbeatable. Those people play and finish every day. The only way to get ahead of them is if they quit playing or die.
yeah.. or get kidnapped by the taliban or something
Weird that Bichon never responded this morning. I hope she is alright.
yeah, I don't know what's going on there
ooh, found the P. now just an R6 left.

done
re 7/48, pls
To turn the juice back on.
Sorry about blatant clue, feeling too off today to be cute with cluing.
ty crossy
Bichon did you see Ru's question for you below?
I'm wondering about that
Yesterday someone posted on my account
How could someone be posting on your account?
That's what I want to know
Are you talking about Sunday when the Inna Gadda Da Vita conversation was going on?
No, this was yesterday
so what was yesterday's post that wasn't you?
There are no posts from you yesterday
re 6/21, pls
According to the archives you have not posted since Sunday
Okay, maybe it was Sunday
opposite of to close, again
Does anyone have access to your computer? Family members? Grandkids?
Any clue please for th o 6.21 please
so was there someone in your house or is mr. bichon a fan of inna godda da vita?
ends in a preposition, sandra
No way! Who is inna godda da vita
or sandra, last three letters are reagan's nickname (I see you're not american but maybe you'll get it)
bichon, it is a song from the 60s or 70s. I think the post was like a piece of trivia, and I know mr. bichon knows trivia with his jeopardy skills.
are you sure it wasn't him?
Many thanks Hokie carla
Mystery solved. Mr. B posted it without my knowledge
re 6/21, pls
i clued it...opposite of to close again
tyvm blah
yvw
Iron Butterfly. :) we used to play that song to death back in the day. :)
I knew it had to be him
heyo babblers! hints for the R in the right-hand column?
Indian princess
ra5, has another sp ra4 (not in grid)
re 6/18, pls
TY
Na 4.4 please I’ve tried everything!
Inna-gadda-da-vita (sp), by Iron Butterfly, Vincent, by Don McLean, and Paradice by the Dashboard light, by Meatloaf. :) just those three songs back to back meant that you didn't have to reload the turntable for at least and hour if you had all three records on there. :)
crossy, did you work in radio too?
n + 3 vowels Sandraf
sandra, that's a greek architecture babblet, very vowelly
oh man. my friends band still covers Paradise by the Dashboard light. and its one of my friends' favorit ekaraoke song. lol
Once, a long time ago, I used to be a bit of an audiophile--back before ,y beloved made me get rid of all those milk crates of "dusty old records."
Ty
I just got a new record player and have been adding albums
I tried every combination but obviously not the right one! 3 to go…..
Ty for the na4
Never would have seen that one.
Re 6.18 please
sandra, there's another form of that word that replaces the last letter with s. I think that's the singular and this is the plural. just fyi for the future.
Many will disagree, but records(unscratched ones) have a warmth that does not exist in digital recordings--especially the LP's they used to make for "quad" systems.
re6 is to get a paycheck again
we have a new sound system and mr. homie just keeps going on about how the records sound better than our streaming music. I agree, that's why I have records still. And my oldest is a big fan, too, so we look for things for each other at record stores.
He is right; Fire up Pink Floyd's The Wall record on a quad system and there is nothing else like it.
No sorry cannot get it
you **** a living by going to work
Ty, hokie
ty carla
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*FIREBIRDS*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
congrats!
yeah, I need to get some Pink Floyd albums.
Yaa for Eva!
The Wall, and Dark Side of the Moon are a must.
i dont even bother trying to finish most days anymore, but it was within reach so i listed for the last few.
Thanks for all your help but that word fails me. I’ve got the 1 before and 1 after
yeah, I had both those on CD. also a huge fan of wish you were here.
re + e4
Then Bat out of Hell, Supertramp, Boston, Third Stage, Queen, News of the World, basically anything from 1971, like Carol Kings Tapestry,
Great, thanks. 2 to go
huge Queen fan. the others I'm okay with. don't really know tapestry but have heard of it.
Tapestry was huge at the time--that and Simon And Garfunkles Bridge over Troubled Waters album.
I actually have the S&G one, bought it at a thrift store or flea mkt
Oh, also Get Kind of Blue, by Miles Davis. :)
Some Otis Redding as well.
did you know new albums are like $32USD? crazy
!!!!
we were cleaning out our parents house last weekend and found a box of 8-tracks. nobody wanted those. LOL
Stampeders Steaming album as well.
Fireworks!!,
well done
Lol. I can still hear the "Ker-CHUNK" sould of an 8-track changing tracks. :)
Sound
my mom's big boat of a car that I sometimes drove in high school had an 8-track player so I had to get an adapter to play my cassettes.
My 1977 Pontiac Grand Prix had a factory 8-track. :)
this was an early 80s caprice classic or something
Had to buy a cassette tape adaptor for it.
well thank goodness someone came up with the adapter
They certainly were boats!
I think it was bigger than mr. homie's current pickup truck
Funny thing is I cannot remember ever worrying about buying gas for it.
It must have had a swimming pool for a gas tank.
yeah, I don't remember putting gas in it
I was so happy when my dad got a lumina for his company car and he let me drive it, it was the first model year for it, and they looked completely different than later models.
but it was so sporty and smaller!
Seems we were $1.19/ gallon at the time.
My pay back then was $3.25/hour.
earliest gas price I can remember was when I was in college, .98/gal. not sure what the exchange rate was back then, but this was early 90s.
hi all.help with lone O please
NM
i remember when gas was 29 cents per gallon
Please can someone clue the 7? Thanks
Turn the juice back on.
Cheapest gas that I remember was 55 cents a gallon right before we went metric.
Thanks
Np. :)
I remember the gas station sign across from my university. Gas: 55 cents a gallon. Cigarettes: 55 cents a pack.
don't use them at the same time
just saw ruru's 29 cents. dang, son!
Back in those days, all my best friend and I had to do was pool our weekend money for a case of Natty Boh and we were set. Ah youth. Although my taste in beer hasn't improved much.
We used to chip in a dollar each, put five dollars of gas in my friends 1976 Toyota Celica, and go "booze cruising" on the back roads all afternoon. Try that now and a cop will just shoot you to save on oaperwork. :)
Paperwork.
That's not much booze considering the size of a Celica
Five of us used to squeeze in there.
we had a regular cruising loop in my high school town. my good friends & I never drank. I don't recall seeing other people I jumped in cars with drinking, but I know they did at parties.
Honestly, we are lucky to have survived that nonsense.
one of my friends had a car with no back seat. can't rem. if it was his Honda CR-X or his Mazda RX-7, but he drove me to school a lot and sometimes he'd pick up his cousin so I'd have to sit on the console/gear shifter. I remember him getting up to like 80mph once on the short drive to school.
You're right, lucky to have survived.
Lol, who shifted, him ir you?
Back then, there wasn't a shit ton of bad drivers on the road. I have a friend who is a police officer and he says about half the people they pull over don't even have a license, let alone insurance.
LOL, now that you mention it I think he would yell, shift! and I would do it.
Insurance was cheap then--not so much now.
btw, did anyone else see oeuvre today? first word I saw only I thought it was ouvre.
No Carla, just you
odd, it's right there!
that comment is a work of art really
Now museum now you don't
well this is abstract
my last two words and the last two pr5. are they regular words?
I found one of them
and I found the other..
Ding and ding
