Wear that sunscreen, peeps. Trust me, can show you the scars.
Our local day surgeon cut my cancerous moles out of my belly. He is a strange fella; he injected freezing around the moles, waits 3/5ths of a second, and comes at me with the scalpel. I, of course, yelp at him to wait because I don't think it is numb yet, but he just charged right in there. :/
He took six "aggressive" moles out of me that day. Was caught early. :)
I had that same experience with my dermatologist. An injection to numb it and immediate cutting! It finally got numb by the time I got out to the car.
I think they all went to the same school.
Though I thank each and every oncologist who has ever worked on me. I would not be here today without them. :)
And a shoutout to everyone working at Princess Margerette Hospital. It takes a special kind of oerson to work in that environment day in and day out. I was only there for six months, then three months as an outpatient, and the things I saw broke my heart.
