well, that's a weird one
indeed

well, stuck with 29 left - think I'll call it a night
51 left here. calling it too. good night.
Clues are up
thanks lickety
you are the very best, Lickety, thanks. Morning babblers. Hello darling friend *hugs*
you are very much in the grid today :D
good morning sprite. * hugs *
hi sweetie :) How's today treated you?
thanks, lickety! morning rose, morning, sprite!
hi rebel
squirrels, no doubt
nah, just want to finish this now. tomorrow is always a big question mark at the moment. i never know when i can get back. done now...so settling in for a chat.
good girl. Well done. Now answer my question :D
finally, nbt, nbs
well done, rebel, too
i've got class later in the morning, so i should get some sleep, but the grid has got a hold over me.....nnnnooooo....the gggrrriiiidddddd.....it's got meeeeeee......
man, those Qs are playing hard to get
lol!!!
they were tough to get through....
started with a GP appointment. i have atherosclerosis mildy on my right side, but okay, just, on the left. had a good chat with GP re my use of endone.
ikr? Grids are like that. Evil powers emanate from them. The sucking force is enormous. Even with the best intentions...
ah, finally a good chat with the gp about that. I bet she felt the vibes coming from the netherlands, lol
well the floor was shaking at least....
am glad for you, rose. Is something going to get done on the AS?
yeah, what about that?
told her that instant release tapentadol was like a drink of water. totally useless for the nerve pain. we also discussed pain doc's opinion that endone before gym sessions was a good idea, in that he would prefer me to exercise with endone cover than without. at least HE understands what FM is like.
but she could hear you this time?
we are going to discuss the AS when i go in for my next review in 6 weeks.
i hate it when doctors don't listen to you
ah good. Keep me posted.
it is respectless. You are the expert on you, they are not. THey are the experts on medical issues. Together, you should be a team.
i think she listened and took it on board. at least she wrote up the script without too much eye-rolling.
very good. She has to learn that you manage your pain meds very carefully, and that your tendency is to undermedicate, not overmedicate.
i do the same thing, undermedicate. and my doctor still thinks the opposite. it royally makes me angry.
and i've just looked at my calendar for December, and i have dental appoints each week, on the Wednesday. no use asking to change them now. appointments are as rare as hen's teeth. am going to talk to pain doc and see if i can be admitted on a Thursday, and discharged the following Tuesday.
smart idea
good thinking, sweetie. But even if you can't, infusion should take precedence. Your mouth can wait. Your pain cannot.
i am hoping to be dentally clean by end of December so that i can start the treatment for osteoporosis.
very true
it's a two-edged sword sprite. i have to be dentally clear before i can have the treatment, and my bones etc are becoming more brittle.
yikes. damned if you do.......
honey, I know how headstrong you are, but I will repeat: postponing the infusions is setting you back on all levels, physically, energetically, emotionally. Use your brain. It's what it is there fore :P
oh??? i thought it was there to stop my eyeballs rolling around inside my skull...
okay, that too.
LMAO!!!
i think rebel maybe a tad sleep deprived. she's got the giggles now..
:D
facts!!!
both the sleep deprivation and the giggles. At least there is balance.
*nods in approval* a-yup. you are both correct. i think i should probably go to sleep then, since i'm doing nothing but laughing right now.
might put you in the right headspace for sleep, though.
the other solution is that i go in early, like late November. but that puts my following infusion in February when Don is booked in for his surgery.
hmmm two infusions within 8 weeks instead of 12. liking the sound of that.
all you need to do then is arrange for transportation, honey. It is combinable
sweet dreams rebel girl.
good night, to you both. wish me luck for later. i've got a couple of quizzes today.
good luck, rebel, and sleep well
sprite, not liking the thought of Don home alone following major joint surgery. too many what ifs. no, i think 8 weekly infusions might be the way.
that sounds even better. Go for it. 8 weeks is better for you anyway. You should stick to that.
* grin * now how did i know you would say that? i wonder??
because I told you the very same thing yesterday on the phone? :D :D
oh and I am translating like mad. Just for you.
oh yeah ! was i awake at the time?
your mouth was running. Not sure about the rest LOL
just checked. now have only 19 pages to go, but no biggie. remember i am going to go back and edit it for you?
yes please please please
need potty break, and while i'm up will get another drink. oh, oh, oh. i weighed myself this morning. despite eating a few wrong things over the last 10 days, i am still down below three digits on the scales. first time since the end of covid.
I still have quite a few pages to go and then I want to go over the whole thing myself first, trying to brush it up as much as I can. But after that you will get part 2. Jirella during follow up training
wow honey, you did amazing!
hah, got the 9.
quilled the Qs.
back. with the hummus which i am allowed... * sigh *
oh that is so good, hummus. Especially with cucumber. I love it.
or with celery stalks. double whammy there. crunchy and full of fibre.
nah, not a fan of celery just like that. Too strong in taste.
i don't use the older stalks. the pale green new stems in the heart... so yummy
:)
fireflies. And poofing with hugs, lots to do today. Last day Rob and I are both home the whole day. He will leave for Zutphen this evening, tomorrow morning the floor will be laid.
bye sweetheart. thanks for the chat. love you
drat can so nearly get tesselate
how odd. Just logged back in, didnt look at chat, first word II tried was tassalate

or8/50
luv, not the rifght A. sorry
ty.
3rd col A are Al4/4 and Al5/14
and gm all !
good morning monty
gm ru - are you free of wildfires ?
here where I live .. yes for right now... there are fires east of me though
far enough i hope ?
with climate change it is a problem every year monte
yeah about 17 miles
the big fire here in Calistoga only burned down one house
which was nearly a miracle
i have tried the ro and or. if you have a meaning or clue for either please send it to me Norma. thanks.
where i live, we're not affected directly by wildfires...it's mostly bad air quality from fires out west
wow it travels that far?
al 4 is from second column A. sorry.
yep...prevailing winds...
but don't most of the french people there smoke like chimneys ?
still not getting the third column A.
haha ru...but no !
they do in paris :D
al 5 from second A not third column. sorry
i am trying.
you are
well ru, don't confuse french people with us Québécois- we are NOT french, we SPEAK french
that's true..
mkg, i stand by my previous clues - 3rd col A are Al4/4 and Al5/14
I'm studying french now myself again to bone up on conversational language
Bravo ! Magnifique ! Fantastique !
I'm going to the Loire next year and don't want to struggle in communication there
wow ! good thinking...something to do with wine i presume ?
but even if you're fluent in paris the waiters still make fun of you :de
are you using an on line app?
:D
yes Rosetta Stone .. doing french spanish and greek
yes monte visiting some producers and looking forward to the fabulous food in the Loire
i believe there are a few châteaux there as well...
which do you find most challenging?
the greek is the hardest for me right now since spanish and french have so many similarities
well not seeing the correct A words i guess. darn. sorry. any help with meanings is welcome
I was fluent in greek as a kid
Paris waiters made fun of are québec french !
* our
yes and greek characters
glad it's just not me.. I was ordering a Beaujolais in a cafe once and the waiter raked me over the coals
snobs is what they are
true.. but that's their entertainment. there tips are guaranteed so they can afford to be rude :D
the service was much better in Rome ...in my short visit anyway
yes. when in italy the others in our group could not get their heads around that. and it seems the italians took great advantage of it
when I go to Italy I'm only going to Tuscany and the Piedmonte
in greece, it was very different. very relaxed and friendly . but rick steves did the work for us, used his guides
I'm going to pretend I'm an American goober when I go to greece and let them talk about me and then let them have it
lol
from my experience, i could not imagine there being a case where you would have to. except at the airport
and after my trips i am convinced my ancestry is greek, though way back.
hmm interesting to know TO.
I have relatives in Athens but nowhere else in Greece
god the airport was awful in athens
when are you heading to Italy, Ru?
My brother went to Greece more than a dozen times he loved it there
in 2027 Mael
very nice
I'm really looking forward to going.
it's gorgeous and you'll eat like a king
I'm going to visit several great producers... ooh I don't need to eat like a king
i know several people who emigrated here and kept their homes back there. it's what they do, generational living. in both countries
you'll also drink like a king :)
losing the thread...i know i ate so well in greece, i loved it
oh I bet TO
that is for sure mael
I love greek food too
Oh dear God. You're going to Italy, home of the best food their is. Drop the Diet Boy act and eat.
bbl for last 54 - nice talking to you ru,,,and TO - have a great day all - "poof"
I know how to cook certain greek dishes from my Mom
bye monty
unless you have a cheap bastard tour operator like we had. honestly, you would not believe it
well i am trying imam bayildi this week, which is from turkey. first thing i ate in greece
I've heard some restaurants ridiculously overprice food in greece because they can get away with it with the tourists... prices are really on the menu type things
aren't
i remember the little grills and feeling so guilty about prices i ordered twice to try
same in Italy, be careful
Rome is notorious
I've no interest in Rome
in greece one meal sufficed for two, and we sometimes ordered and split
I've been once: the sites are beautiful but the tourists and the traffic and the city is ugh
how long were you there TO ?
Ive travelled extensively through Greece and Italy in the last few years. Not seen price issues with Greece, but Italy quite often seems expensive for what you get especially if you end up somewhere like Venice.
we stayed in Montecatini Terme but i did not have time to explore - torrential rain and late arrival, autostrada under repair for the jubilee year
tiro
sorry
in Greece I read about gouging restaurants in Santorini
2 weeks. on the move, with a tour.
outrageous prices on fish
oh.. bet you saw a lot though
in santorini the first night at our villa we catered in and it was amazing food. then went to stock up for breakfasts and snacks so we could devote time to sightseeing
mael what part of Italy are you from?
Ah, Santrini is like Venice. You're a captive audience. TBH - Santorini is best seen in photos. Its expensive, overcrowded and although stunningly beautiful, you'll see more of Santorini due to the crowds, on a postcard while sipping cold wine on a glorious beach somewhere like Crete.
my brother loved Crete
we ate at douskos on hydra...amazing food
My heart is in Crete. I have a tattoo of Crete with a heart over Heraklion - It where me and my motorcycle land most of the time.
we ate in oia and that was the only bad foodi had in greece. over cooked, overprices, besieged by thousands from the cruise ships.
hydra and napflio were my favorite spots
but would love to try crete
still dont have the middle column A words. there are two of them.
i am enjoying the conversation but losing the thread a bit, if asked a ? but not responding.
mkg they were clued several times, when you first asked.chat is moving quickly, so hard to keep up. maybe bring up history and try again.
the middle A's are al4 and al5
i have several al 4s and al 5s. none are from the middle A. not sure what to say...except if there is any meaning i would appreciate it.
al4...having to do with birds - babblet
The al5 ends like Peter, Paul and M____
that did it!!!!! yeah!
thank god
yup i am pretty dumb
I have seen some stupid words in this game and ro8 is up there in the top 5
you mean ro9?
Yeah, speaking of stupid
yes. it's so random how enable treats past tenses and adjectives
any clues for ro 8 or 9 welcome.
or what appear to be those
a very expensive over-priced hotel in Edinburgh MKG

don't remind me, i've missed weight training caught up in conversation this am
they did however respond eventually respond regarding my complaints and heard what I had to say.
yes I remember and offered you a comp on next stay. We just had different experiences there. I loved it. And everything was overpriced in Scotland.
would I stay there again... no..it just wasn't a good experience.. but thankfully Prestonfield made up for everything
i remember the hotel in naples as having the most non chalant staff, i could not believe it.
Prestonfield? Damn, when you guys travel you don't mess around. Luxury hotel, not too shabby
we just had high tea there molly we didn't stay there
good lord...just saw skerryvore last weekend and could not understand a word of their english. how did you manage?
Just for tea, Molly. My son and his family loved it and recommended. Afternoon, tea. High tea is actually supper
it was simply one of the nicest experiences I've ever had
the kind of thing that makes travel so worth it. that is the fun
beautiful building, beautiful grounds. perfect service and the food was superb
The rooms are almost 600 a night (American)
where we stayed was that much (The Roseate)
I negotiated for a junior room, was much less.
my niece's recent honeymoon in rome and sorrento the rooms were that much.
Looking at the afternoon high tea part of their site is like watching The Bear.
doren, was your junior room small? i was surpsied at my single in rome being tiny
seis
It was nothing short of amazing Molly. so worth it
perfect in fact and the company wasn't so bad either :D
Muffy actually behaved herself there
what's the Bear about?
well that was questionable
restaurant biz
owl, not nearly so small as others I've been in in Europe
It involves a guy who trained as a gourmet chef in some of the heavy hitter American restaurants.
oh i'd like that
thanks, i was not prepared but very glad i got a single supplement
Yeah, that's what people keep telling you
I told you about it Ru. Thomas Keller even appears
oh yeah.. i remember.. i just don't watch tv much
there is some damn good tv around these days
I see Thomas all the time when I deliver stuff there
His birthday is the day before mine..
He's a super nice man... he's been great to me over the years.

Good morning, Babblers. :)
