hi shewho...... bad addiction this is....

8:40 am

the tr/8's do have different endings... the last consonant is different

8:41 am

Hi cathy! Arlene is another Canadien...

8:42 am

really? where from, arlene?

8:42 am

toronto .... this week

8:43 am

Some of these words seem impossible to me. For instance, what word could begin with the top right hand corner 'i'???

8:43 am

Eeps, Arlene, are you getting sent abroad again???

8:44 am

swmbo... i was in maine last week on vacation... stayed in camden, went to acadia.. lovely... have you been?

8:44 am

And that 'q' and those u's are just a waste of grid space :(

8:44 am

maybe......

8:44 am

i love toronto... not least because barenaked ladies hail from there! lol... cool place.

8:45 am

does anyone have all their m's? gee... i am totally stumped!

8:46 am

cathy, I believe I heard there was a place in Maine called Acadia, but I have never been. Acadia originally was the whole of NS, NB and PEI and these three provinces still have a significant Acadian population, of which I am one. The Cajuns of Louisiana are our relatives.

8:46 am

nope -missing 1 4/6

8:46 am

got it!!!! phew

8:47 am

I have one 'm' which I got by monket typing...

8:48 am

just got it

8:48 am

really? wow... i had no idea! the landscape is basically 'glacial' there... i presume, then, it would be much the same in the other provinces?

8:50 am

Cathy.... nope.... provinces range from mountains, (with glaciers) to plains to arctic tundra to desert. lots of range for everyone.

8:50 am

mu4/6 x 2 mu5/16

8:51 am

Evening folks...just passing thru' :) Ron, you need another di4/5 - probably the one that sounds like what you do to make a phone call.

1:51 pm

roncook, you rock, got it with you clue. Thanx all.

1:51 pm

RON!! O bless you, bless you..lol, i found my other bigguns..TY!!

1:52 pm

now, i only need 7..am leaving to let rocks in head..settle!! BB..Good luck all.

I can't get the in5. Any clues? TIA

1:56 pm

anj thanks need un4 un6 ir/4

1:57 pm

anyone help with my last a? i have a5/14, a5/12 and a5/10

1:57 pm

Am I the only one who hasn't got the "n" word??

1:58 pm

Juls add another letter to your ad5/14

1:59 pm

juls nearly an english snake or curdled milk

2:00 pm

Hokie add another letter to your first in word

2:00 pm

Hokie C, it's an in5/10 and measn to bury as in entomb Ron, the un4 is brief for lingerie (lol), the un6s are to remove cargo from a ship and gas/petrol. Both use the same letters. The ir4 is either angry (past tense) or like a part of your eye with a different last letter

2:00 pm

thanks both - got it, can't believe i always forget to look for the add-ons!

2:02 pm

Kristin, your N word sounds like what the moon does to the sea twice each day

2:06 pm

ta anj still stuck on ir will keep trying

Uh-Oh, now I'm confused. Kristin - according to the 2nd letter stats, there's only one in word, and since I have only one word left, I don't know what the first "in" word you are talking about is. Anj - the word that means what you said keeps sticking in my head, but the way I thought it was spelled does not exist & the only other possible way is not accepted. So, I must have the wrong word in mind. Thanks anyway, guys.

2:07 pm

Ops sorry - I mean "ia" - been at this game too long today!

2:07 pm

NOOOOO I mean "id" ARG!

2:08 pm

at last l have busted my hymen on babble thank you all for hints

LOL - I was just going to say, "but I don't have any 'ia's, either!"

2:09 pm

Anj still got getting the n word - is there a definition?

2:10 pm

Sorry Hokie, I think the left & right sides of my brain are having a bust up :( The entombed word is an mu4/6 and I haven't got a clue why that popped into my mind lol The in5/10 means to get used to something unpleasant. See something thru' you rather wouldn't - that sort of thing. :)

well K, the def. of the "ni' is that it's the adj. form of a noun that I don't know the meaning of. I think it is medical. Think [blank] wave. Then put an n in place of the first letter there.

2:12 pm

Thanks Hokie - got it

I am finding this in word unpleasant & probably won't see it through. :-) Okay, a 5/10 is all 1-pt. tiles, correct?

never mind - got it. I looked for that one earlier, but kept looking at the wrong r. Thanks again.

2:20 pm

getting closer, missing 2 d's. i have d6/27, d5/22, d4/5*5, d4/6, d5/12, d5/14. anyone tell me what i'm missing?

2:22 pm

Juls, it's a de4/7 (think skin) and another d4/5

2:22 pm

Can I have a hint for my final f word, i have anger and money

2:23 pm

thanks Anj got the skin reference, one to go

2:24 pm

Kristin, 'i' would add something to your money for an fu5 ;)

2:26 pm

Thanks Anj - just 3 more r's and I'm done!

2:38 pm

Hi I'm three from the end. Would be my swecond time. Any thoughts on the Re6, the Tr7, and Tr8? (I have variations on the little bed on wheels).

2:39 pm

Julie change the U in your bed word to an I. Any clue on the ri/6 not a joke.

2:40 pm

re6 is what you get from the taxman tr7&8 are a long leisurely lope.

2:44 pm

ignore my def for the tr7 please. confusion reigns when chaos is king.........

2:44 pm

Kristin: I don't think there is another ri6.

2:55 pm

How did you guys get pictures?

2:56 pm

Yep d 4's. Over hill and d--- d--- straits by d--- of.... d--- = not clean

2:59 pm

Hi Hilaryfan1 :) Those of use with pics have upgraded to Babble Pro so we have a few 'extras'

3:05 pm

I'm stuck on a tr8 (have the 2 to do with rollers) and an mu4 (not the walled up one).

3:08 pm

Hi Jac You're mu4 sounds like currency, the tr is another 8/50 and you can get it by changing the 1st vowel in your 'rollers' tr8/50 :)

3:15 pm

Thanks Anj. That's me done for today then.

3:18 pm

obviously I haven't read th4e chat log, but has anyone else got 71 words?

3:19 pm

I'm all ticked up on 70 Brandyjack. Do we have a bug?

3:20 pm

I've only got 70, and my grid is full

3:21 pm

never mind. it's a sort of bug that happens when your internet connection goes for a toot just as you type in a word.

3:21 pm

My list shows the tr7/32 twice, once with a score, once without. Refresh will kill it.

3:23 pm

Final is 70/1060 after refresh. I'm running a program that completely wipes my router and cable modem every so often. One of the torrent varieties. Have to power everything down to recover.

3:24 pm

down to my last three; i need mu5 and 2 re5's, clues anyone? please...

3:25 pm

That right. That programme sounds a bit mercenary tho'

3:26 pm

Could anyone give the points for the mu5 word, please? If you want to give a clue as well....

3:26 pm

Mu5/16 - part of the rodent family - that didn't help me any, but that is the definition

3:29 pm

Juls there is an re5/18 and 5/14 add different endings to your re4/5. The other re5/14 add another letter to your re4/4

3:29 pm

could I have a clue for the ni5 pleeease

3:29 pm

3:31 pm

6:00 pm

oops. forgot to say to drop the y from da5/22

6:00 pm

gwen ty,ty,ty for the clues I was beginning to despair of ever finding another word in this grid

6:01 pm

where is snowyowl from?

6:03 pm

I'm from South Wales, Gwen & you

6:03 pm

Galveston, near Texas

6:06 pm

My sisters visited Texas 2 yrs ago & loved everywhere they went. I havent been lucky enough to travel that far yet ( too busy helping to look after 5 grandchildren!)

6:08 pm

I got lucky. Two oldest grandsons are grown and four youngest live in Hawaii with their Navy parents. Retirement, Here I Come !!! lol

6:29 pm

I finally came back..and dont feel at all renewed. Am missing 7 words from completion on my first puzzle..and dont see diddly squat!!!!

6:32 pm

What do you need lianakate? I have 12 left to find.

6:34 pm

cbr..i am down to 5 now..but i dont know what I need!! I cant figure out how to read the stats. I think its a purposeful thing..i get that way with math sometimes..UGH

6:34 pm

i need 2 5 letters, and 3 4 letters.

6:35 pm

can you see the grid? it tells you what words you are missing with what letters. Brandyjack posted the second letter word counts earlier

6:35 pm

lianekate, which boxes on the stats page are not grayed out?

6:36 pm

grrrr..i dont understand the grid..I think i am being very obtuse..sigh. I dont like numbers just words..lol

6:36 pm

NONE are grayed out.

6:37 pm

THe letter grid is layed out exactly like the Babble grid - under each letter is the number of words begining with that sepcific letter you currently have - underneath that is the total number starting with that letter - the grayed out boxes mean you have found all that start with that letter

6:37 pm

Good evening fellow Babblers, how is everyone?

6:38 pm

all i have are red checks next to some boxes..which show me needing 2 /4 letter words..and 3 5 letter words..or vice versus..i forgot already..(i think its my sugar count)

6:38 pm

sounds like I would go to Brandjack's list and work from it t0 find out what you are missing

6:38 pm

Hi! I was wondering if anybody could help me out on one of the un 6/21 (not the variety of gasoline). It's all I have left... I'd be happy to help out with anything the rest of you are looking for.

6:38 pm

I would scroll down the stats page to the grayed out letters

6:39 pm

there is a box that says..number of words..but none are grayed out..I just know i have all but five words

6:40 pm

that grid has no colors in it..just black and white..like a type written page..

6:41 pm

zackstef, it's the 'un' of your la4/5

6:43 pm

gwen, thank you so much! that was way harder than it should have been!!! (oh, and sorry for double posting... at least it double posted here on my list.)

6:50 pm

thanks for that readout..CB..i see I need one N word, one I word, and one TU word..

6:55 pm

i looked at Dr Gods example..and I have NONE grayed out..i am blind here...i need 3 more..and thats it.

6:57 pm

where are these grayed out letters..????..i flip to stats..and there are just grids..no greyed out letters

6:57 pm

lianakate, flip to stats. Scroll down to see a mostly grayed out grid. Once you see it, you will understand that is today's letters and which one to use.

6:58 pm

just below "Number of words that start with:"

6:59 pm

I reiterate..none are grayed out..in the grids..just letters like the boggle board only broken down to segments..I think i could have finished long ago..if the used letters were grayed out..I need 3 words left.

7:01 pm

Lianakate - doesn't really matter if they're greyed out or not. Under each tile, the bottom box shows how many words there are that start with that tile, and the upper shows how many *you* have found so far.

7:02 pm

there are no grayed out boxes..I scrolled down to the letters beginning with box..and none of my letters are grayed out..I am getting really frazzled..

7:02 pm

okay... the beginning letter is white... the background of beginning letters you've already found is gray.

7:04 pm

Click on the "Need help with the stats?" link. Doc God's explanation is pretty thorough and comprehensible.

7:04 pm

lol, gwen no they are not!!!!!

7:06 pm

but docs boxes are GRAYED out..LOL, i already checked there for info..BUT, doogie..I am checking the boxes..and I guess i need an F, and an I, and a TU

7:07 pm

gwen, doog..you have been so helpful..and I am not ungrateful..even though it may sound that way..Am just frustrated..ACK.

7:08 pm

Most likely your f is the one to do with money with a vowel on the end

7:09 pm

fu 4 8 fu 5 18 fu 4 10 id 4 5 idl 5 12 id 4 5 id 5 14 id 5 12 in 5 10 ir 4 5 ir 4 5 tu 4 7 tu 4 7 tu 4 4 which ones do you need?

7:09 pm

tell me which tus you have and I will help you with the other

7:10 pm

only 4 to go and no ideas! Ineed an al/5 (not the tree) a de/4 ( I have a de4/5 and a de4/6) an ir/4 and an ri/4 Any clues please?

7:11 pm

omg..NOW I AM GETTING EXCITED..I GOT THE MONEY ONE...WITH THE VOWEL ON END..

7:11 pm

Pay attention and be aware and you will find the al word

7:11 pm

lert should be a word. lol

7:12 pm

Good one Gwen! lol

7:12 pm

lol, i was so excited i typed in caps..

7:12 pm

Lianakate - I'd be willing to bet that AOL is a major part of your problem. Their browser has always been notorious for not rendering pages correctly. Do yourself a favor -switch carriers and start using Firefox/Mozilla (or IE if you must); you'll live longer.

7:13 pm

Doogs..i have a cable modem..and I am using IE..tell me about firefox modzilla! The name is..lol, kool.

7:14 pm

cbr1965 & Gwen thankyou for your clues my restorative didn't wake me up much did it!

7:15 pm

CB..i have the tu..pertaining to grass..and the other tu..telling perhaps a direction..like right tur

7:16 pm

Lianakate - Never mind, then -- I thought I recalled from an earlier post of yours that you were using the AOL browser. If you're using IE, then I've no clue as to why your page won't display correctly. Mozilla is another browser less prone to annoyances than IE. Do a google search - it won't be hard to find.

7:16 pm

many babies have just a tu___ of hair on their head

7:16 pm

Hecky poops...da6, la4 (not the female), ir4, not being mad

7:17 pm

lianakate the 3rd tu relates to hair maybe.

7:17 pm

lianakate - real definition is short cluster of elongated strands, as of yarn, hair, or grass

7:17 pm

HAHA..CB..ty..great clue. I got all those hard un and tr words on my own..and now I am stuck with the lil ones..LOL

7:18 pm

maybe you could help me with the remaining long t words since I've got 8 to go!

7:18 pm

rthanks others..i got it on CBs baby clue..YAY

7:21 pm

Can anyone help with the un5 and un8?

7:21 pm

CB~tr7, a type of bed, 8 past tense, 8 one who does 7

7:21 pm

Thanks - believe it or not - I just found it - now only 5 words to go!

7:22 pm

cbr - change the 'u' to an 'i' and you'll have some more long t's ;-)

7:22 pm

now i need an id 4 and will be done..my first puzzle ever..in ten of em..yuck

7:22 pm

cbr1965 the other root is the same word with a vowel change

7:22 pm

any clues for da6, la5 and Ir4?

7:23 pm

id 4 either someone who is not busy or something you are seeking when you brainstorm

7:24 pm

okay..with the exception of the id word am ready to help give clues!!!!

7:24 pm

la/5 - add one leter to thela/4 that sounds as if you put dishes etc. on the table

7:25 pm

i have those id's...and the one meaning..doing nothing..

7:27 pm

PHONE..my insurance adjuster honey..from Mobile..bbiab..(he will be gone for months and months on that hurricane damage)

7:27 pm

sorry about my awful typing -that shld read one letter to the la/4

7:27 pm

Then you do not need any more id4s.

7:28 pm

sorry snowyowl, that just confused me! lian---id 4 what you get right before you smack yourself in the head!

7:28 pm

ir 4 is very angry or very dry (starting with i instead of a)

7:29 pm

why do i keep double and triple posting? *blush*

7:30 pm

are there two ir's? I have the very angry one.

7:32 pm

mund IS a word, dammit

7:32 pm

ibdawger - sorry about the confusion its not easy to clue There are 2 ir/4s I'm looking for the same one as u I think. I've double posted a few times today too

7:33 pm

ahh, snowyowl, got the la5! doh! now for the da6 and the ir4 (have angered). but my number count is off somehow...cuz the tally says i'm missing 3 not two? oh my...

7:35 pm

how about a showy flower with a different consonant on the end for the other ir4

7:35 pm

snowyowl, guess we get to monkey finger that one out!

7:36 pm

ir 4's - one is a floral reference the other is an abbreviation for lustrous, rainbow like colors

7:38 pm

Cadfan and Cbr, thank you! kissy kiss any hints for the da6?

7:38 pm

cbr1965 many thanx just got it. Isn't it odd how obvious things are when you're shown the right path?

7:40 pm

there used to be a popcorn treat called fiddle fa____ - it is the same as the second word but with a D in front

7:41 pm

use the 1st 4 letters of the da5/22 and add le

7:41 pm

:) fraid not - I don't have the da 6 yet

7:43 pm

ibdawger its a da/5 - what you might call a male parent

7:44 pm

Da6 - up the creek without a DA6.

7:44 pm

snowyowl, thanks got it...what the heck it means is another game! LOL okay, found my missing letters...un5, have off leash.

7:48 pm

Can anyone give me a clue for an ri/4 please. I have the one thats the skin on a fruit and the one to do with travel. I'd be grateful as it would mean that I've finished a grid at last.

7:48 pm

whoo hoo, i'm done! will hang around to assist if needed

7:48 pm

can some post the list?

7:49 pm

Hi all. How is this for obsessed - I finished the puzzle about 10 am, but I am so used to coming in and out all day I have been bored. So here I am.... Thought I would come in to help but looks like lots of help available. Guess I better get a life.

7:50 pm

(not the list of words, but the general list of clues?)

7:50 pm

Ri4/4 - "the basic unit of money in Cambodia; equal to 100 sen."

7:51 pm

ri 4/4 sounds like something you put on a fishing pole but spelled wrong...

7:52 pm

See the post at 6:39 for list of words.

7:53 pm

Jax - any idea how I can get rid of the weevils on my okra? Sure could use a tip! ;)

7:54 pm

Jax - in the same boat your are. My excuse is that the hubby is enjoying some quality time with the Monster Baby and I have a moment....

7:54 pm

many thanks jax - I did it! Will probably be more hooked than ever now. Will be around for a little while, so if I can help anyone I'd be pleased to.

7:54 pm

doogle - okra? weevils? you are talking to a northern girl here. lol

7:56 pm

Congrats snowyowl. Don't you think there should be fireworks or something when you finish?? Such a let down! Other than just the pure satisfaction of course.

8:00 pm

A firework display is always welcome or perhaps a round of applause would be good ( it might drown out the snores coming from the master bedroom!) Thats what happens when an owl marries a lark!

8:00 pm

doogle, try sevin on the plant. usually takes care of those pesky bugs. also spose to be safe to use on veggies. (i'm a northern gal too, but i know a little about garden bugs)

8:02 pm

Thanks, Dawger, but I think I'm resigned to just enjoying a little bit of weevil in my bowl (bole?) of gumbo!

8:06 pm

I need an m4 and a t25 to finish - I have the mu4/6 and 2 tr5/12

8:08 pm

It's another mu4/6!

8:08 pm

And there are only 2 t5 words...

8:10 pm

Right you are Doogle - it is an r5 I am missing - I have 5/14 and 5/18 - still no luck on the mu either

8:11 pm

Is there anywhere I can find out how many words in puzzle or how many words start with each letter?

8:11 pm

mu4...the ghost and mrs....but spelt wrong, the other is odd way to spell currency.

8:12 pm

Got 'em all - thanks to everyone for all the help!

8:12 pm

there's an re5 which is what you do when you work out what 2 plus 2 is again.

8:14 pm

oops too late as usual - my typing is far too slow! goodnight all - look forward to seing you all tomorow.

8:14 pm

akajne, click on "show all messages" in the green bar and scroll down to see the numbers you seek in messages from brandyjack.

8:17 pm

Thanks so much GeoBabble. I found them. Just new to this and so far am terrible.

8:31 pm

ack, i need one di..i thought it was id, and drove myself nuts looking for it..a di 4..and i am done!! HELP. (my first finished puzzle at risk..lol)

8:33 pm

Di4 - by means of, soil or great need.

8:34 pm

um ..how many d's are there?..i have 12..i dont even KNOW the one word I am missing to complete puzzle..my dang blood sugar has been off for a couple days..arghhhhhhh@!

8:35 pm

The 4th di4 means "involving a full day."

8:36 pm

Doogle - you are right - I missed that 4th one on my list.

8:37 pm

its an i/5..i checked the stat box and i is the only one that shows missing..this is so sad..am sorry for being so stupid :(

8:40 pm

lianakate - which ones do you have?

8:41 pm

i5 - perfect, waste time, wasted time, time waster or get used to.

9:00 pm

I am new here and I only have 3 words left.Un 5, un8, un9 Any clues?

9:10 pm

Thank you anyway, I found them all. going to sleep now.

9:13 pm

lianakate - did you find it yet?

9:14 pm

I'm so far behind, have only found 31 words as have been out for the night and just got in, am a little tipsy too.. something tells me i won't get much further lol

9:19 pm

Clair, just think of all the words you will create! LOL

9:20 pm

Haha but will any of them actually be a real word.. and one that also fits in the puzzle.. judging on how badly i am doing i think not hahaha, still i think murtle and furtle are quite nice words LOL

9:25 pm

ClaireDC... you in DC proper? I'm out in the 'burbs!

9:26 pm

Haha i'm afraid i'm not.. i'm in the UK, Manchester to be precise.. i just got given this name by a male friend who said the DC stood for 'deep cleavage' and it's stuck ever since lol.

9:27 pm

Pictures, please!

9:27 pm

Ah well. the DC would apply to me for the place, not the deep cleavage unfortunately. LOL

9:28 pm

Haha, i don't know if i have any.. hang on, let me see if there's one uploaded somewhere..

9:28 pm

Jen - haha, i would actually like to visit sometime.. DC in DC so to speak. x

9:29 pm

http://www.tidy.com/images/avatars/7419_Claire_DC(07).jpg

9:31 pm

Great place to visit! ANd please don't judge us all by the politicians who work here. :)

9:33 pm

Wow! I was actually just kind of kidding, but thanks for brightening up my week!

9:33 pm

Of course i wouldn't, there's a lot of places i'd like to visit over there to be honest, i've been to florida.. but i've wanted to visit DC since i knew what America was.. i think my dad once said that important people went/were there (probably on about politicians but i think i thought he meant important like me haha) and it's kind of stuck lol

9:34 pm

torgone - haha i really shouldn't come online while i'm tipsy.. i never know if people are joking or not for a start haha

9:34 pm

DC is actually a wonderful city. Head and shoulders of Baltimore (where I now live) in so many ways. Grew up in the suburb of Kensington - the mormons dug up my childhood dog Muffet to build their huge mother church there. :(

9:35 pm

It's definitely more than just the people. The history here is awe-inspiring. 11 years ago when hubby and I were fresh out of university (go Seminoles!!), we actually honeymooned here because of the museums!

9:35 pm

And *free* museums, at that!

9:37 pm

Doogle - has that scarred you ever since hehe? Jen - what kinds of museums are there? I've always wanted to visit more museums but not a lot of people around my age are really wanting to do that kind of thing - and although i love doing all the young wreckless things, i think it's important to try and see as much as possible.. museums give you a chance to do that - especially ones abroad, gives you more of an insight into things imo

9:42 pm

Gosh, all the Smithsonians... American History, American Indian, Air and Space, NAtural History to name a few. There is the Corcoran Art, you can see the Declaration of Independence, there's a spy museum (that's a pay museum tho). And the bar scene is really good here, so I have heard, because of all the young congressional aides, etc. (although I am a bit past that, what with a hubby and a 4 year old, I'm lucky I am still awwake right now, but am watching FSU football).

9:42 pm

I'm from Dupont Circle in NW DC. Miss it horribly. Now displaced childless poverty striken homemaker, or something like that in western Mass. Hate it. Would someone kindly supply a clude for da6 please?

9:44 pm

Could I get some help with the tr8 that doesn't have to do with the bed? :)

9:45 pm

Haha Jen, my sister has a little boy who is nearly 3 and i can understand why you may get tired early on if your little one is like my nephew.. it's funny how having children can just put a stop to your social life isn't it hehe. The museums sound fantastic though, really must get over there soon, i didn't realise there were so many different ones!!

9:46 pm

The other tr series is the same as the bed with one vowel changed. Don't have definition. Poor Muffet and Doogle!

9:47 pm

mab - i'm afraid i don't have that one myself :-( Jen - the 2 tr 8s are all very similar.. a matter of changing maybe a vowel or a tense.. umm i'm a bit tipsy to try and think about how else to help without totally giving the game away lol

9:48 pm

Jen - its the first vowel that changes. Da6 anybody?

9:50 pm

no def for it, but take the 1st 4 letters of the male parent and add -le.

9:53 pm

Many thanks. Did you get your TRs?

9:54 pm

help! ni5?

9:55 pm

tonyv: has to do with nests, but sounds like a drugstore sleeping pill.

9:55 pm

alright, thanks

9:56 pm

Yeah, I did, thanks. No way I am going to finish tonight tho. Hearts not in it. Fading fast and trying to actually pay attention to football. Oh well, all but 10. Tomorrow is another day.

9:57 pm

Also the last name of a famous terrorist.

9:58 pm

Brilliant clue, torgone. I remember him.

10:01 pm

arrgh un 8 and un 9 are doing my head in lol.. i have done well though so far being tipsy, an extra 13 words so far :D

10:02 pm

Claire, think of a foe of BAtman and stick un on the front and fiddle around with it.

10:02 pm

claire - do you have any ri6's & ri7's?

10:04 pm

i don't have any of them, not made it to r's properly yet lol

10:06 pm

jen - trying that now although my batman skills are alittle rusty lol

10:06 pm

Ri6/24 and the two Ri7s are related. A simple word for conundrum, or puzzle.

10:08 pm

ri 6 24 ri 7 40 ri 7 36 I now have these. :-)

10:08 pm

Rhymes with "fiddle."

10:09 pm

Argh, the Ms! I only have the one that is a shortened word, but the other 2 are driving me nuts.

10:09 pm

Prepend (how's that for a word?) "un", Claire.

10:09 pm

Yay i have them, thank you for the clues. :D xx Another 26 to go lol.

10:09 pm

21 even

10:10 pm

My head is about to explode from searching for MU 5/16. I've tried every combination I can think of...obviously, except for the right one. The 3rd letter, or a very broad hint, would be much appreciated.

10:12 pm

Irving- thats because its a nonsense word. sounds like having to do with a brand name of eye drops.

10:12 pm

I only have mu 4 /6 but that's in top left if anyone doesn't have it, although i think most will lol.

10:15 pm

help on the tr7s and tr8s, please

10:16 pm

mur

10:16 pm

mab - actually it has to do with a kind of rodent.

10:16 pm

Mab - is the last letter an "N"?

10:16 pm

MU4/6 - think Paul

10:16 pm

tony, think of the kids beds where one is stored under the other.

10:16 pm

mu 6: a devotee of Mu Eyedrops. mu 4: phonetically spelled cash. mu 4: rhymes with sure.

10:17 pm

greetings

10:17 pm

Take the eyedrops and tune into your id.

10:19 pm

wahey i have mu 5/16.. :D Doies someone still need help with that one.. or am i a bit late lol

10:19 pm

fu5?

10:20 pm

Mab - Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

10:22 pm

Thanks, Torgone. I knew it had to mean something. Rodents, creepy. I automatically call all words unfamiliar to me and not in my dictionary "nonsense."

10:23 pm

tonyv: think of mushrooms or whats growing in the refrigerator, and then change the penultimate consonant.

10:24 pm

Doesn't always help, mab, but any online dictionary ref means you can Google it or something. I honestly didn't know it until I guessed it then clicked the "?" box.

10:25 pm

Make that the final consonant -- which is followed by a pluralizing vowel.

10:26 pm

Mab, I agree...nonsense words! Tonyv - Think of a bay in Canada and change the last vowel.

10:26 pm

thank you

10:28 pm

When I begin a puzzle I want to know what all the words mean. By the end, I no longer care, I'm afraid. I had no idea one could click on the word and get the def. Always wondered what those ? where for.

10:29 pm

mab - sometimes it gives you alternate forms, plurals, etc.

10:30 pm

tonyv - I need that fu5 too.

10:32 pm

Brilliant! I think my babbling is going to be a bit easier in future. Thanks torgone. Oh, and I love googling things - like magic. Almost.

10:37 pm

And I'm spent! Finally finished and with 3 minutes left to spare on my football game! 'Night all! :)

10:38 pm

Night Jen, i think i may give up now lol.. 11 words away, not too bad for me that!!

10:42 pm

hey pk, nice icon!

10:43 pm

Right i'm done, it's 4.45am here and i think i need some sleep. I might do this after drinking more often i think i do better haha. Thanks for everyones help. Speak tomorrow i'm sure.Night. xx

10:45 pm

Hi Mab - Used to live in the 1400 block of Corcoran St., NW, just a quick 10-minute walk to Dupont Circle. I miss that area too! I miss Boston more, however. :(

10:48 pm

One flippin' word to go; re6.....grrrr!

10:52 pm

add the 're' to one of your fu/4's

10:53 pm

Just a quick note to all you late night/early morning players- I just added the ability to pay via PayPal. So anyone who's been putting off upgrading because they don't have a credit card, you have one less excuse now. ;)

10:54 pm

Holy Shnikes! Thank you, pk!! It's frequently the obvious ones that you don't see!

10:55 pm

anyone use the q or c ?

10:55 pm

Can I just send you a kidney, Dr_God?

10:56 pm

no words begin with q or c in this grid

10:56 pm

You've already done your good deed by upgrading, torgone. ;)

10:59 pm

No, really - my left kidney is kind of bugging me. I'm trying to find somebody to send it to.

11:02 pm

Actually,$9.95 lifetime is a bargain! You must have a wicked bandwidth bill.

11:05 pm

help with mu5 anyone? please!!

11:11 pm

a type of rodent-of course you don't want to keep it

11:13 pm

Can I get help with the u's please. I need the un6's, 8 and 9

11:17 pm

for your mu - "rid" yourself of worrying about it

11:19 pm

calicomo - look at your ri6's & ri7's.

11:20 pm

The Uns are forms of yourr6/24

11:20 pm

Sorry torgone - we're crossing in cyberspace

11:21 pm

No hay problema.

11:25 pm

Thank you got the u8 and u9

11:27 pm

7 to go Al5 Re 5 Re 5 tr 7 tr8 Un6 un6 Please help

11:28 pm

try type of gas you put in your car for un6

11:29 pm

Aform of la4 for the other un6

11:30 pm

There are two tr7 and 8 - which do you have?

11:31 pm

I have the bed related ones

11:31 pm

change the vowel and the others are identical

11:34 pm

thank you so much

11:37 pm

re5 - for one, add the same consonant to the end of an re4 - another re5 means kingdom - you probably have the third which means prepared

11:41 pm

thank you thank you....

11:43 pm

Are you finished now?

11:44 pm

still looking for Al5 re5 un6

11:45 pm

al5 is a tree but it could be an older one

11:47 pm

I need to know what you have for re5 and un6 to tell which you are missing -

11:48 pm

I have the older tree, the kingdom, and the type of gas

11:50 pm

then the al5 is to pay attention - stay awake - a sentry's job is to al__ the people if a problem - the re5 is one of your re4s with an extra consonant (a repeated consonant) at the end - it seems wrong but try it - and the un6 is a form of your la4/5

11:51 pm

use your re4/5 to find the re5

11:53 pm

The RE5 makes sense when it means to sum again.

11:53 pm

All right!!! I'm finished. Thank you so much.

11:54 pm

The a in the bottom middle of my grid is gone. There is a red x there.

11:55 pm

You are right! I never saw it that way - it must be too late for me!
