I'm not off to a great start. This is a tough game. It's a bit after 2am and I am just here to cool my temper off a bit. Husband is asleep snoring up a storm and baby has already woken me up 2x. I decided to come and babble for a bit until I become less ready to go postal on both of them. No, I don't think the Acadia of Maine has much to do with our Acadia except for the name. The Maritime provinces (NS, NB, PEI) are much like Scotland (hence New Scotland, NS) with green mountains, rocky shoreline etc. but also rolling farmland and sandy beaches.

Hokie C, it's an in5/10 and measn to bury as in entomb Ron, the un4 is brief for lingerie (lol), the un6s are to remove cargo from a ship and gas/petrol. Both use the same letters. The ir4 is either angry (past tense) or like a part of your eye with a different last letter

Hi Jac You're mu4 sounds like currency, the tr is another 8/50 and you can get it by changing the 1st vowel in your 'rollers' tr8/50 :)

NONE are grayed out.
THe letter grid is layed out exactly like the Babble grid - under each letter is the number of words begining with that sepcific letter you currently have - underneath that is the total number starting with that letter - the grayed out boxes mean you have found all that start with that letter

Lianakate - doesn't really matter if they're greyed out or not. Under each tile, the bottom box shows how many words there are that start with that tile, and the upper shows how many *you* have found so far.

Lianakate - I'd be willing to bet that AOL is a major part of your problem. Their browser has always been notorious for not rendering pages correctly. Do yourself a favor -switch carriers and start using Firefox/Mozilla (or IE if you must); you'll live longer.

If you're using IE, then I've no clue as to why your page won't display correctly. Mozilla is another browser less prone to annoyances than IE. Do a google search - it won't be hard to find.

Of course i wouldn't, there's a lot of places i'd like to visit over there to be honest, i've been to florida.. but i've wanted to visit DC since i knew what America was.. i think my dad once said that important people went/were there (probably on about politicians but i think i thought he meant important like me haha) and it's kind of stuck lol

DC is actually a wonderful city. Head and shoulders of Baltimore (where I now live) in so many ways. Grew up in the suburb of Kensington - the mormons dug up my childhood dog Muffet to build their huge mother church there. :(
It's definitely more than just the people. The history here is awe-inspiring. 11 years ago when hubby and I were fresh out of university (go Seminoles!!), we actually honeymooned here because of the museums!

I've always wanted to visit more museums but not a lot of people around my age are really wanting to do that kind of thing - and although i love doing all the young wreckless things, i think it's important to try and see as much as possible.. museums give you a chance to do that - especially ones abroad, gives you more of an insight into things imo
Gosh, all the Smithsonians... American History, American Indian, Air and Space, NAtural History to name a few. There is the Corcoran Art, you can see the Declaration of Independence, there's a spy museum (that's a pay museum tho). And the bar scene is really good here, so I have heard, because of all the young congressional aides, etc. (although I am a bit past that, what with a hubby and a 4 year old, I'm lucky I am still awwake right now, but am watching FSU football).
I'm from Dupont Circle in NW DC. Miss it horribly. Now displaced childless poverty striken homemaker, or something like that in western Mass. Hate it. Would someone kindly supply a clude for da6 please?

tonyv: think of mushrooms or whats growing in the refrigerator, and then change the penultimate consonant.
Doesn't always help, mab, but any online dictionary ref means you can Google it or something. I honestly didn't know it until I guessed it then clicked the "?" box.
Make that the final consonant -- which is followed by a pluralizing vowel.

When I begin a puzzle I want to know what all the words mean. By the end, I no longer care, I'm afraid. I had no idea one could click on the word and get the def. Always wondered what those ? where for.
