CBR/Dianne/mtn -- how come none of your scores were posted for yesterday's puzzle?
I have no clue - I finished it
Hi Everyone!
I'm there now
There must be a delay in posting all the scores once the new puzzle starts
dr god is updating the page, the final listing is still being generated thx for all the help, I got closer, but hey, I am still at work... and can start fresh on this one!
this puzzle has a strange potatoe theme going on...
but it wouldn't take frites (isn;t that a kind of potato dish in France!)
german, pomme frites
fe7/44
morning all. 121 words
best so far is ou5/12
p6 33
t6/21
Sorry for the second letter a minute ago - dangerous to play right at the end of apuzzle and then again at the beginning of the next one when you're used to second letter clues
o6/27 r6/30 s6/30 t6/21x2
show off hugs... ;)
LOL ok... here's another p7/36
P 7/ 36
p6/24
d6/21
t 6/21

I have imagined that word in many a puzzle so it jumped out early today - I think it's a great word
make that 2 t6/21's
which word cbr?
the f7/44
I keep coming back to doubted, but no B
is htere a clue for f 7/44 ?? Just jumping back in the grid
mtn - same here, for notified...
Blaze - if I had it, I'd give it one to ya! Sorry :o(
that's okay hugs...we have lots of hours left to muddle through the grid...how are you tonight.??
Doing good, Blaze... thanks for asking. How are you?
don't worry too much Blaze, you might f****, then past tense
I's as fine as frogs hair..... doing good.
Blaze - deceptive action - I think of it in fencing
first word I kept trying to spell was peyote... darn babble.
hey - watch it mtnjock - some words actually are there
wonderful, cbr - tks
Thanks cbr, nice clue!
cbr...not another fencing word..(ugh)...where are the fish tonight ??
OMG, *blushes and will shut up now*
I hope laying low with the barnyard animals!

I was just messing with you mtnjock
right on Mtn jock ?? I got that one....
mea culpa, mea culpa
I knew you were... :)
How can "outie" not be a word?
said that very thing!
y5/16
I'm impressed Brint - I have only found one Y so far -
o6/27
t7/28
Hi Brint - I see you're in Atlanta - so am I
Memphis here...
I have a client in Memphis - nice city
CBR the Y words are Abominal.... I have all but one so far. who's the hottie on you icon ??
Yep -- been here for 3-1/2 years. is it legitimate when someone like redletter posts t7/28 to ask, which t?
Any fish yet? Got an amphibian - but that doesn't really count, does it?
Oh another unsuspecting fly falls into my web of shameless promotion - he is Logan, one of the main characters on the best show on TV - Veronica Mars - but I know you've heard the evangelical Veronica Mars talk from me many times before!
Hmm, I don't know, Brint. How about if I say it starts with t and ends with t?
Oh, great... thanks :-)
I'm going to bed with 59 to go - I love these short puzzles - I actually get other stuff done on those days
Would someone please post the stats. It would help to know what I'm hunting:)
Brint, it's only the most stylish word on the grid.
Blaze...did u get your f7 44?
Tks, cbr -- good idea. I've 59 left, too. Though I can't say that this is a habit I really want to develop (e.g., I like sleep...) TTFN
Pav 3 not even close.....??? i'm alookin'
G'nite cbr
Goodnight all! Happy hunting and I'll see you tomorrow
g'nite CBR... I am outta here as well...
do u have the f5 16? it'll be the past tense of that one...
good nite sleep tight.....
redletter -- thanks for the hint, but my brain's gettin' too foggy... maybe tomorrow
Nites mtnjock
d7/32
redletter - got your t7... thanks for the help
Huga, thanks for d7/32. I really hate that one.
I think I hate this grid :(
well, with 37 left, I'll have to wait till tomorrow to finish. Good night All. Happy Babbling
happy babbling to you to Hugs
Night Hugabugs ..
Oh goodnight, Hugs! I just got here!
G'night neil...I have an early go in the morning... so I gotta get some sleep. Good luck
Tnaks, hugabugs... looks like I'll need it. Peaceful rest to you!
You can give me all the clues tomorrow! ;o)
e6/21
sfneil - can you post the stats? Please.
Dianne, I think these are right: Total Words: 121 4-letter words: 62 5-letter words: 41 6-letter words: 14 7-letter words: 4 Ax2 Dx17 Ex3 Fx24 Ix1 Nx8 O x6 Px6 Rx7 Sx17 Tx22 Ux1 Yx7
thanx sfneil, that's so useful ..:)
neil - thank you so much for taking the time to do that.
thx sfneil :)
7 y words - no way!!
Heh, took a little longer than it might have otherwise: I have been out to the theater and some post-play libations this evening! (I'm still pretty sure they're right... I double-checked my addition!)
chessy... they are really abominable two.....the rest are monkey typing and a2Z
sfneil.I get the same stats if it makes you feel better!
Blaze, I've got 3 and thought was doing really well! I'll get those monkeys to work again ..:)
Thanks, macadam, it does! Would not want to send all the babblers off after red herrings!
Are you sure that fish isn`t swimming round the grid somewhere?
lol! is a herring anything like a shanny?
If there is no fish doogle will fall over.....LOL
whatever the 3 Es are - they are a total mystery to me!
dianne I have found one E e 5/12 and boy do they e 5/12 me tonight
Actually they give it to me....like the cheeky kids...
blaze there is an e6 that is plural of that (there is also an e4 that is many baby amphibians)
I`ve never heard of a shanny so I can`t answer that.A new word before breakfast and whilst almost awake what more can one ask.
thank you sfneil.....
macadam did you miss the recent puzzle where all the other brits were going on about shannies and blennies?
Macadam Anj said the other day its a long fish, eel like apparently!!!!!!!! :o) Good morning
Ooooh or is that a blenny?!!!?????!!!
It might have been one of the games I didn`t complete and there have been lots of those.Blenny I recognise but not shanny until now.
I had never heard either word, but then I don't eat any seafood at all.
Hi lotti.Just abput to hit the breaky and start word hunting.
Opposite from me sfneil.I love fish.
Quick look before the school run.....Ikea if we`ve time today!!!! Looks doubtful though :)
Yes. Alas, I am considered a freak by my entire family, who love nothing better than anything that swims or crawls in the water!
Ok lotti see you soon
sfneil, I`m choosey about what i eat from the sea!
Yay lotti! (Actually I can do crab, and shrimp in a pinch. I try not to create problems for my hosts/hostesses when I can avoid it.)
I was brought up being told fish was a brain food .I don`t know if it helped but I still hope for the best.
You`re too kind!
Well I am down to 49 words and off for some ZZZZ's see you all tomorrow....
'Night Blaze! They'll be waiting for you...
Night Blaze ..
sfneil you are right... alone with the dirty dishes, laundry and other reality things....
down to the last three T's...heard there was at least one t7..any clues?
still looking for that one myself... and blast those e4 baby amphibians are still giving me the chase :/
PAV3, I'm still missing two Ts myself, but have got the t7: if you went to the best party, with the A-list people and everyone was dressed to the hilt... that party might be considered the t7 in town.
(it's a superlative -- that might help)
thanks...got it! kept babbling for a shorter t-word that begins like it
You're welcome. I wonder if we're both missing the same two Ts now?
As an aside, has the red gone missing from everyone else's puzzle clock?
Yes sfneil mine has:]
yes, missing here too
Just got back.No red here either.
red herrings but no red clock :)
Good one chessy
yes...no red here...I have 8x t4 4, 5x t4 5, 2x t5 10, 1x t5 12, 3x t6 21 and the t7 28
I suppose it was dismissed as redundan? I mean, the little black bump is still there.
Must do school run see you all later :)
Er, "redundant"
So long, lotti!
calling it quits for tonight with 66/734 cyal tomorrow
P/7 36, haven't a clue if its already been mentioned as there are too many messages to check them all.
pl of your p6 24
How can one word game deny the existance of another??
carolecs - that way it can claim world domination... ha! :)
Lol chessy.x
Well, the red is back, anyway...so not made reduntant, sfneil, it was just late for work!
clock's red again ...
It's 1 am here..time for sleep..101/1075 with 20 to go..see y'all later
mtnjock, I had to laugh at your comment for 12.11 am, pomme frites is not German, cbr1965 was right it is French for what you call French fries, pomme meaning potato, frites meaning fries or as we english say chips. It was nice to start work with a smile though.x
Miyavi this is Lottijw i`m at Macadam`s (as she`s my mother) Why aren`t you at school???????????? ;o)
Hi, Lotti...don't worry, I'm not bunking/suspended! The teachers are giving us a day off so they can prepare for open evening tonight ^_^
Lucky you! We never got a day off, they just worked round us! If you`ve got all day to do this, what you gonna do tonight if you`ve finished!!!!??????
heh...finishing for me still seems nothing short of impossible, so I don't need to worry about that...the day I ever finish a babble game is a very distant blob on the horizon...
Don`t sell yourself short, we`ve all noticed how clever you are ;) I`ll have a look for you this afternoon when i`m back at home......this icon`s a bit floral for me LOL
Okay, I'll see you later under the usual icon then ^_^ Thanks for the compliment...all choked up now! *wipes tear from eye*
I hae the F7, P7 and T7. Does anyone know what the 4th one is?
Hi Dianne it's a d7/32 but I have no clues yet
Thanks Mitch
Hi all :) Lotti, are you still there?
d7/32,, superlative...lots of spots
morning Lola, morning all :)
Yes lola she`s here. Thanks for the tip about cleaning up the computer. It worked.
Hi mom :) Glad to be of assistance! I do mine religiously now as it started just switching itself off at one point. Rather frustrating when you are in the middle of trying to help someone! Are you going to Ikea with lotti?
Hi kallia :)
Kallia - thanks for that, got it.
yw :)
Hi Lola it`s lotti........Wouldn`t you have taken "major advantage" of Sawyer(or whatever he happens to be called) while he was tied to the tree !!!!!!!!!!;o) I know I would LOL
Morning all. Just a brief visit before I have to go and do the weekly shopping trip. That Enable dictionary needs updating; 'sudoku' IS a word!
Hear hear, Jackua!! I tried that and thought the same!
Hairdresser trip today so we may not make Ikea!
Haven't spotted any Babbler's names yet in today's grid. Yesterday 'Kate' was in it and 'Jera' the day before that.
Lotti, girl, do not even get me started!!!! I am asking about Ikea because I haven't been to one yet and am insanely jealous! We have a huge depot in Pborough but no outlet :(
Lola - I've never been to Ikea either. I guess it's like the modern version of 'Habitat'. My first house was furnished almost entirely by Habitat and Laura Ashley.:-)
Oh thats a shame, we normally have a meatball lunch too! One day i`m gonna come and meet you in Queensgate!!!!!!! Probably outside Waitrose if its still there LOL
Jacula- it's the concept that intrigues me. We don't have anything like it in SA. We also don't have catalogue shops. You should have seen me trying to shop in Argos for the first time..lol!
Lotti- you're on! And Waitrose is still there :)
any clues for the t7/28 please and thanks
Yay, was your daughter born at PMU? Mine was
Oggy - apparently it begins with 't' and ends with 't'. Haven't got it myself yet though. Clue was something about an A list party and people all in their best togs.
No, she was born in SA. I flew out with her (on my own!) when she was 7 months old.
The t7. Superlative of Mr Blair?
t7 - Marked by an elegant or exclusive manner or quality
Thanks Atalante! Got it now.
lola, i work for waitrose.
Lola - LOL. Helped me get that answer.:-))
got it thanks everyone
oggy- I love waitrose! I would spend my entire salary there if I worked for them.
lola100, ty for the Blair clue...I tried the word earlier but it wasn't accepted but your tip made me try it again, successfully this time. Weird!
Cheers Lola that`s added to macadans list now! Do you know Huntingdon at all? I have a couple of friends there.
is there a p6/33
yep there is a p6/33 :)
Not really lotti, haven't been there yet. My best friend from SA works there. Hadn't seen her for 13 years and then found out she lives 40 minutes away in Cambridge!
p6/33 and p6/24
Yes Oggy. If you go back through the chat log someone actually typed the word earlier.
oggy, what part of Wales are you from/living in?
lola, only been with them for a year, they took over fromsafeways so i work for safeways for 14years
I used to live at Wittering (RAF) near Stamford.
Trying to find the last Y word. I have y4/9, 4/7 x 2, 5/6, 4/11 and 4/8? Anyone know what I am missing?
2 x y5/16
i am from barry, not far from barry island but used to live in penarth
Small world..I'm from Rhoose, schooled in Barry & now living in Cardiff.
FMitch - thanks - got it.
Oh no Oggy that brings back bad memories, I used to live at St Athens......hated it, hated it, hated it!!!!! My good memory is thats where i bought my daughters 1st pair of shoes!! ( I am Lotti by the way)
I have been to Stamford, lovely little village. We tend to visit places like dinosaur parks and sea life centres at the mo' due to toddler, but my passion is for lovely old buildings (am an architectural draughtsman by profession) so I love the little villages :)
Lola i know where to come for my extension plans then LOL
any other South Walian babblers?
Yeah, you can pay me in chocolate, lol!!!
i have been in barry 30years and i like it to old to be on the move,so im staying put.
can i have a clue for p6/33 i cant find it in the chat logthanks
You`re on Lola!!!! Oggy, i worked behind the bar in The Green Dragon (LLancadle) if thats how you spell it! 7 months i worked there.
look at posting at 12.37
p6/33 - A spineless, dome-shaped cactus (Lophophora williamsii) native to Mexico and the southwest United States, having buttonlike tubercles that are chewed fresh or dry as a narcotic drug by certain Native American peoples. Also called mescal.
cactus favoured by hippies..
hi all im a new welsh babbler!!! Im from the Rhondda thanks for clues dont understand many though!!!

See you, Lotti ^_^
Cheers jacula :)
Now I`ve got my computer back it`s bye from me too.
oggy- thanks! 'Bye mom :)
Hey miyavi, how you doing today?
Okay so far, thanks, Lola! Got about 40...you?
Good stuff! Just gone over half way :)
*in awe*
lol! The more you play the quicker you find the words. Also, you start to recognise the obscure ones from other puzzles (which is mildly worrying) :)
lol! The only obscure one I recognize usually is Psoae, because of Anj's crazy clue. It's cropped up about three times since I've started playing
Yeah, that's what I mean. But be warned, it will now lay low for at least a week and then crop up again. By then you will have forgotten it, you will ask for help and then you will smack yourself on the forehead! I have an H word like that :)
Going gangbusters - got the As and the i - going for the Es. I have E4/7. Does anyone know what the other 2 are?
one of them is e6/21 wrote that down from earlier
Thanks Lola! I'll have to keep an eye out for it now, that cheeky minx of a word :)
et5/12 and the plural et6/21.
FMitch and lola - thanks for the help. Got all the Es now. Chipping away bit by bit.
Missing a P, can anyone help? pe 6 24 pe 7 36 pe 6 33 pu 4 6 pu 5 14
Does anyone have the word count for today?
Do-oh, just found it!!!
121 today eva :)
37 left to find and I have to leave it for now, probably catch up with you all later TTFN
Thanks lola!
'Bye FMitch :)
I know I am starting to sound like a stuck record but... can anyone tell me which R I am missing? (sorry!) ri 4 7 ri 4 7 ri 4 7 ri 5 16 ri 4 4 ri 5 10
ri6/30 lola, just got it meself!
Thanks chessy :)
I'm completely blocked on the y's. Any hints?
Eva, think Bigfoot for two.
Thanks hydra!
ya 4 9 ye 4 7 ye 5 16 ye 4 7 ye 5 16 ye 4 11 yo 4 8 Eva, I got most of them by monkey typing!
I'm playing lola's record. For the Ns I've got hi 4/4 no 4/4 no 4/4 no 5/12 no 5/10 no 4/4 What 2 am I missing?
ni5/10 Dianne
Thanks lola-the simian approach worked.
thank you Lola, i've got the y's now ;o)
Cheesy - Don't klnow why I didn't see that ni5 straight away. Still hunting the last N. Thanks for your help.
lol! You're welcome eva :) Hey bobsta!
hi Lola :o)
There are 2 x ni5/10. One sounds a bit like a camera.
Morning folks :) This one looks gentle...
Morning Anj: Not as gentle as it looks!!!
Thanks Lola that does my n's
Morning everyone, I think the same Bob, only just started and sort of come to a halt already
morning bob.
Wotcha Greg :o)
there is an ri 6 30
Morning Rachel, on 53 and slowed down to a halt!!!
Hey Anj! How you feeling this morning?
Yo Anj ^_^
Hello Greg, you alright - Daniel has still not had a sleep. Lunch is going to be hell, i get this feeling.
Bob - only got 11 words and you talk of being at a halt, how do you think I feel.
lola - thanks for the Ni5 info.
Hi Lola. Fat headed...it was quite a smoky venue. Didn't get trolleyed or anything mad. Ironically enough I went to to bed earlier than any Babble night lol. How are you? :)
Hey Miyavi :) What's this, a sly day off??
Rach: I did manage to finish last night though, still, only 121 in this one.
I'm good babe, but I gotta go fetch the small person. Speak to you later?
I'm not going anywhere for a while :) Have fun
Later then! Cheers everyone :)
Not exactly, Anj...the teachers are just sick of us, that's all
he'll be fine, trust me i'm his dad!!!!
Greg: God help us!!!!
Miyavi, they are probably all down the arcade playing video games lol
Probably...all apart from my maths teacher. For him, putting equations on the board is better than a Saturday night on the town. He's probably in his classroom, having a cosy chat with some gradients :)
Ah, one of those types who takes pleasure in actually evaluating e = mc2
Yup, one of those! And he gave me an after school detention for my hair being pink! Huh. He's just jealous because HE'S going bald *sulks*
Are there any k's?
Eva, no words beginning with K
Thanks anj
got 50 need a break bye bye!!
Why doesn't the dictionary recognize that in terms of belly buttons people are either innies or outies?
Eva, I was grown in a large vat of concentrated copper sulphate so I don't have one lol The downside is i'm blue and terrified of nitric acid :/
Okay - as a chemistry drop out, what's the interaction between copper sulfate and nitric acid?
If my memory serves me, it wouold do a better vanishing act on me than David Copperfield could ever achieve lol
Sorry eva, it was too quite in here. Something weird had to be said :)

The only vivid memory I have of chemistry class is that we used to "make" mercury (shades of the Mad Hatter) - by putting mercuric oxide in a test tube and heating it. We had competitions for who could collect themost mercury, and walkd around with our mercury stashes in our pockets. It's a wonder we aren't all brain damaged. Oh wait......
eva, lmao. Theye were the good old days, when a 3 session practical chemistry lesson actually meant there was a chance of dissolving something unintentionally, setting fire to your oppo/lab/teacher or seeing someone stretchered out of class for sniffing th contents of a retort 'because it was a cool colour'
Or, if you were very lucky, someone would fill the lab with noxious fumes which would require immediate evacuation and the cancellation of classes for some time.
Huh...the good old days are still here, Anj! Not a chemistry class goes by without someone being taken out. My time came when some guy threw acid on my arm, "to see what would happen"
I also remember counting the veins on the wings of fruit flies. Now there's a useful life skill!
And my sister set her hair on fire
Miyavi! I hope it wasn't concentrated :/ I've had a whiff of some nasty before which totally blocked my throat. It only dissolved when out of desperation I used an eye bath of all things. The intervening 90 secs were a bit lively tho... Eva, that's quantitative analysis lol
I'm not sure if it was concentrated or not, but I don't think (hope) so. It was only because we had a sub teacher. Everyone else was melting their rulers with the bunsen burners. I hate school.
Miyavi, sounds familiar. Do they let you loose on the nice big glass equipment used for vacuum filtration or making sublimates? The stuff that reminds you of Dr Frankenstein's lab :)
Hm...depends which teacher we have. If it's a sub, then we can use anything! But some of the stuff in there is really scary...looks like something that might've been used in the salem witch trials. (so THAT'S what happens when you get a science detention...)
Miyavi I used to love getting hold of that stuff. Big condenser flasks, retorts and U-tubes... REAL chemistry, not making test tubes full of co2 squeak (or usually shatter lol)
Have to scoot for a mo. Back at 1 :)
Hah...I can just imagine you doing that! My class is pretty scary in chemistry, they all seem to take on the Mad Scientist gene...evil laughs and everything
Ne cluez and/or definitions 4 the 7's? I always find the long words most difficult to find... Muchos gracias...
movieman, I stumbled upon one already: to 7/28: "an elegant or exclusive manner"

Wheeee, thanks Lola! ^_^
Good morning, everybody!
I'm back :) Jo, hey its the Chef :)
Hi Jera :)
Merry Autumn to all who observe the Equinox (yay!)!
So babe, did you hang out with the band last night?
Yo again, Anj :)
Hi Jera :)
Hi Jera
No, but I was shown all the photos from the Scarborough Castle gig and invited to London on Friday nite, Nottingham on Sat and got to meet a load of the midlands 'Hearts fans. Great gig tho' A happy Ginger always puts on a good show :)
I have to finish as early as possible, big feast tonight... I will be cooking all day (as I Babble)...
Aaah Anj, you are reminding me of my wild days as a groupie!
Jera, you should ask Jo if you can borrow Swedish Chef for that lol :)
I'll cook! I have to cook for my family tonight, why break the habit?
Lola, i'm not comfortable with the whole groupie thing but i've met the Cult, Ginger, Dandy Warhols, Janus Stark, Johnny Panic & 3 Colours Red. And I can't quit...still see a band a week :) Music is my life lol
hi guys just jumped on quick before i head to work..doesn't look too bad...will be back later...cya...have a great day whereever you are...8/
LOL! But if I recall ... he was a terrible chef! ;-)
LOL, nothing swedish tonight... mostly Celtic...
Yo Baggo, nice icon :)
And my picnic table arrived yesterday, just in time!! :)))
hi anj, isn't it a great one?? probably the best one yet..went under stained glass on images...8/
I can get a bit frenzied in the kitchen, but not quite so viloent... I like things dead before I begin...
Anj- it was mainly SA bands and one little known english duo that I hung out with. Had friends in BMG and also owned a small music shop for a while, so was always "back stage".
Thanks sooo much.. now I have that Swedish Chef song on my mind... just what I needed today....
That reminds me, I need to change my icon...
I have to gloat, I finished my FIRST babble yesterday!
Hi baggo :)
Woohoo, go Jo!!! You are now a fully fledged addict :)
Baggo, we're adding a bit of colour to the log lol :)
Jo, he was wasn't he. always chasing the chicken with a cleaver giving it bort bort bort!
Miyavi, what are you cokking for us then??
Yes, that's about right, Anj! LOL.
Hey, congrats on nailing your first full Babble - always a good feeling :D
Lola? music shop? back stage passes?? BMG??? Please run away with me :) lol Who were the English duo then??
Depends, Anj...how do you feel about something greek?
Miyavi, love greek food :) Do I feel a moussaka coming on??
If you behave yourself!
Anj- I thought we were doing that already! LOL! I love my music too, all kinds but love good rock best. The english band is called Ezio. Was thrilled to find them still going strong out here and have been to see them in Peterborough. Their SA hit was Saxon Street, but don't know how it did over here.
*polishes halo, combs hair, inspects finger nails, practices best sweet & innocent expression*
Oooh moussaka! Can I come too miyavi?
good morning
The more the merrier ^_^
Hi cathy :)
I'm looking forward to that coffee lol Ezio, yup heard of them. Good rock? I could fill this log page with reccomendations lol Are you sure you're not me in disguise?
Boo-hoo, it won't let me change my icon.. oh well...
Jera, check the type of file. It likes jpegs but it may protest if you're using a bitmap image
It is a jpeg, but a large one... it says the program will shrink large pics, but maybe I should whittle it down some, the original?
LOL! I think we decided I have more curves....
Jera, might be a good idea lol. Gives the programme a fighting chance :)
Besides, Anj, you're unique! Nobody could match the obscureness
Lola, i'm not arguing :) SA bands...only know about Seether really :/
Miyavi, I prefer to call it lateral thinking lol
*giggling fit*
Anj- my favourite SA band is Springbok Nude Girls (they played on same bill as The Cult actually) and there is a new band called Cutting Jade that are quite interesting.
That did it... ty, Anj!
Miyavi, lol. Jera, no worries :) Lola, thanx babe, will check them out. What are your fave rock bands?
Either I'm slower today, or this one is tougher! Halfway through, time for a workout! See ya later! :-)
Later Jo :) Anj, Anj, ANJ! *shakes head, pouts* look in ALL directions and used plurals :/ *sound of severe beating with large wet haddock*
Hey Anj, careful with that haddock, you nearly got me :)
See what I mean about unique?
I've done it again! :'( *sound of crane, winch, air of silence, SLAP of large porpoise* Sorry Chessy, I will try for a better aim next time :/
Well, Pink Floyd and the Who are gods. Love a bit of Cream and some Hendrix. Love U2 (except when they went thru' their pop phase). Springsteen will always be the boss. Guns 'n Roses, Green Day, Nirvana (does grunge count as rock?) Dire Strait for a mellow feel. Seriously hard question to answer babe!
did you know all calls to the Sea Life Centre are recorded for training porpoises? boom boom :)
Chessy--LOL x3 I just looked at your joke and read it to my fam. We all thought it was funny. Thanks for the jump start today.
Excuse me a sec Lola... Just have to launch an intercontinental ballistic mussel at Chessy...
say again Anj, I'm a bit hard of herring ...
No trout about that lol
*sighs* All talking gibberfish
could I get a clue for the de6, not the dislike?
Sheila- goes against.
Sheila, withstands or opposes ...
Sheila Rae what a teen does to his parents...
Thank you lola. Now everyone back the the corny jokes, it's very entertaining. :)
this is not the plaice for jokes Sheila ...
Thank you all--you'd think with a17 and 19 year old I would have seen that right off.
codn't disagree with that, Chessy *pulls serious face*
...not sure about that. Will have to mullet over...
mustn't upset Dr Cod ...
just upgraded and trying to load icon
yup it worked
Right, I'm off. Have been staring at this grid for too long but making no progress! Ah, I'll go cook. Codbye everyone! ^_^
Later Miyavi lol. I'm all fished out...
Yeah Miyavi, drop us a line when you get refreshed...
Sorry Lola, yes good taste :) I've hung on to The Who (have you seen Who's Who?) and couldn't agree more with early U2, Green Day & Nirvana. You should try Seether, Vines, 9 Black Alps and Subways by the sound of it :)
Seether rings a bell and I nearly went to see 9 black alps (can't remember why I didn't). There is a band called Tauracine that played at the local live music venue recently. Thought they had promise. I love all sorts of music tho' and what I listen to just depends on my mood :)
any chance of a clue for do4? I have the action word and the fond one. tyvm...
It's a nice place to be...knowing what you like but still prepared to listen to all. I wouldn't call Art Brut mys style but i'm seeing them on Sunday. You should sign up to www.lastfm.com I thought I knew music but i've found 50 or so good bands I never knew existed in 4 months using their site :)
Chessy, morse code :)
I've done the Ds & Fs if anyone is desperate :)
They are at the ends of sentences chessy
All done now at last
...- - -... - - .. --- ...-.-.----- :D xx
Yeah, I registered with lastfm, just haven't got of my butt to have a good look around!
Does anyone else hear a tapping noise?!
think I need to borrow Anj's haddock, must learn to look in ALL directions. still, done now - thanks all. see you tomorrow ...:)
knock knock knock
'Bye Chessy :)
Hi again, everyone! Couldn't keep away...
lol! Hi Sprite :)
Hi miyavi :)
Just logged on. Any chance of a list of first two letters! Time is scarce ..............again.
anj, desperate for D's
Anj - the offer of D & F's would be nice. Thank you
Morning, all. Punched out 80 words before I remembered to be social. *self slap in progress*
Hello everyone. I've got two si5/10's and an si5/12. Would someone please tell me what I'm missing?
OK, just finishing my Rs and I will be right with you :)
Judi, there's a haddock on general rotation for that purpose just now lol
There is also si5/14
Thanks, spellit. The search is on!
Clue for the 06-27?
Ladies get a new one too often!
O6/27 think clothes
Oh my gosh... Duh! I can't believe I missed that one. Probably because the mere mention of it sends my lazy self into denial.

*more applause*
Alleyn: At 6:53 there was a 2nd letter posting by brandyjack. Bye all, I'm off to do some si5's!:)
*takes bow* How's the moussaka doing Miyavi? :)
Hi Rachel, Hi Anj ;o)
Hi Bobsta :)
Hello Bob, how ya getting on. I've been out for lunch with little man and just started again, got 47 words now.
I've got 13 left to find and they're being a bugger!!!
Anj- lola197 :)
Took me ages to find the last 4
Anyone have a nice easy clue for the fe7 pleeease?
hahahaha, mousakka will be taking place in front of an audience! It's my school's open evening tonight, and I promised my cooking teacher I'd come along and cook something for all the parents to see.
I know where to come if I get stuck then. Do you know how Greg is getting on?
Bobsta- bet they are the same 13 as mine! Maybe we should gang up on them?!
No idea, haven't heard from him in a while
past tense of fe5/16 bobsta
Bobsta: FE-7 - means eluded or evaded. Sounds like what the teenage girls used to do when they saw the Beatles in concert.
Lola, you're not showing any tracks played lol Have you downloaded the iScrobbler plug in yet?
...only my cooking teacher wants me to make bread instead. Quel dommage! I bet it's only because she doesn't like moussaka and is planning to eat what I produce...
Judi, D'oh D'oh D'oh!!!! Thank you. ;o)
Miyavi, you could always bake it in suggestive shapes lol A pavlova is a good occasion food if you have an audience :)
Anj *sigh* can't remember! Will go and have a look if I ever finish todays babble!!!
I have the p7 and the f7. What are the other two?
d7 & t7
t7 and d7
Thank you, ChrisP
Whenever babe :) It only works with certain media players that's all. Go & look for Soundhog lol
ok ok ok how many words are there total? :P
Toesock: 121 words
And there are how many words in this puzzle again? :(
Rest assured, Anj, I fully intend to! Let's see which of the parents wants to eat the bread after THAT! *evil grin*
Okay, I give up. Need clues for the D7 and T7. Bobsta.... you owe me!
OOPS! I posted the same thing twice! Sorry!
Thanks Bobsta... Sadly I only have 25 words right now...
Judi: Ok Ok. D7, More spotty? t7 Mr. Blair (Superlative)
And why, praytell, is outest not a word??
Anj- think I registered after playing babble 'til the wee hours and honestly can't remember what I did. Will go back, have a look and get you to help me if I can't make it work :) I'm used to drawing boards and building sites, dammit, not computers!!! lol
Outset is a word but it's not in this puzzle!
Any hints for pe 6/33 PLEASE?
Jera, Fritos is in there either. ??
Thanks, Bobsta. Now I owe you.
pe6/33 is a cactus
hyper: hallucenogen
Jera - I do agree that the Renaissance/dark ages vocab should apply here as well. I might actually complete one of these if that was the case! :)
So, Anj, what sort of bread shapes would you suggest then?! *evil grin*
Like the sound of that!!!! I don't suppose you have the fr6/27 yet do you? if so, any chance of a clue?
Thank you for that do7 clue... I mistakenly put in 7 BLANKS after my TO beginning... that would have been VERY BAD!!!
Oh thank Jera's autumn goddess for that, finally finished!!! The closer I got to the end the denser I seemed to get :(
Miyavi, you could make a some interesting cottage loaves lol. I leave that up to you :) Dough is a dangerous thing... hahaha
plural of fr5
Hi Unie, you've changed again lol Lola, drawing boards & building sites???
Dangerous in the wrong hands, Anj! I'll never forget that dough fight my class had...and they say we're in the top technology class! *giggling fit*
Breathe deeply & celebrate balance, lola! Yay for you!!
Is paying $9.95 for an upgrade worth it? Besides adding a picture...
And Modron is honored, I'm sure! ;>
Every penny, ToeSock, because you get stats :)
Une: I see i need another fr5 then. toeSock: yup, definately
Can't beat a food fight for showing a person's true colours. I've been in posh hotels when managers have started them lol. Talk about not-so-straght laced
You get more than just the picture... you also get stats which can be good hints & handy at keeping track of your progress...
A small price to pay for quality social interaction, ToeSockMonkey.
It also makes you really cool, TSM!
me too bobsta. only fr5 i have comes from the french.
Just found it!
Torgone! Forgot to mention yesterday how I like your icon... I love the Celtic stuff...
Torgone: Great sales pitch!! LOL
You never spoke a truer word, Anj...I think a lot of people are, deep down, very violent. By the end of the fight, we'd organized into girls against boys. My best friend was captain of the girls team...man, she was vicious...
Miyavi, you can NOT overestimate the psychological virtues of a well-placed, full-on pie in the face :D
It's true! I was a total loser until I became a Pro Babbler. Now I'm loved, respected and admired by nearly a dozen people!
Anj- I'm an architectural draughtsman by trade :) Right, went to site and as far as I remember I downloaded the radio player but when I run it it just says "connecting to server" but no action. It was very late and I gave up!
A whole dozen? That seems a tad... high.
Well, okay..nearly a brace of people.
Lola, go ezboard - I will explain there :)
Thanks Anj, will remember that next time I have a pie on hand
hey, Anj! Goodbye, everyone--all done!
Actually, I have one now *throws pie at Anj*
****** FOOOOOOOOD FIIIIIIIGHT!!!! *********

*launches surface to air blancmange*
LOL torgone!
***sporks catapult of baked beans ***
what have I just walked into????? now now children!
Thank you! As soon as I get off work I will have to go home and update :) Might be a bit afraid after seeing the picture though! HAHA
*throws jelly*
blimey!
*** slips in mayonnaise **** falls **** can't get up.

*sees stockpile of quiche, launches suicidal charge to capture them, takes shrapnel from a well aimed creme brulee*
*races with Anj to grab quiche*
****** sliding away at warp speed on mayonnaise slicked seat of pants ****** Leaving Miyavi far behind (no pun intended).
Got 8 to get but i need a cig and a coffee. see you all soon
NEEEEEIN, IT IS MY QUICHE! *rugby tackles Anj*
I love watching a good food fight /throws peanut butter bombs
Is anyone else getting hungry?
Myavi!! look over there!!! (quick Anj, I'll save you!!)
Is there any chance I could have a list of the t's please anyone.
huh? what am I supposed to be looking at? *looks over shoulder*
I've only got three words. I'm enjoying the food fight!!
Anj quick, now's your chance!!!!
*squirms free, passes tray of cheesecakes to Babbler, jumps on edge of table and launches pre-emptive strike of multiple quiche in all directions*
Babbler takes photographs, to laugh over later....
multiple choice quiche? What a waste!
Argh, the quiche, the quiche! but still...what am I supposed to be looking at?!
to the left, Miyavi, can't you see it?? In the sky.....
*Laughs at Judi just before getting hit in the back of the head with ice cream* ~SMACK~ *Wide eyed, ducks and clans the area for cover*
*quiche splats on face* Anj, you are dead meat, boy! *grabs squirty ketchup bottle*
*Hides behind Miyavi knowing squirty ketchup is a great weapon*
Anj, remember your training in the Matrix.....
*squirts ketchup* MWAH HA HA HA HA, THERE IS NO ESCAPE!

*Picks up bottle of Cattlemen's and large french loaf. Makes stars wars lightsaber sound. Prepares for bread-to-hand combat*
may the force be with you!
Morning Sprite, all. Goodness, have you made a mess. *Find a safe corner to start today's puzzle*
*knows never to deprive Anj just chocolate* *becomes worried and kneels offering Anj a bar of chocolate and some fruit beer* PLEASE!? Don't put potato in my face!
Hey Krys10! Have fun... and a dry and clean spot.
*drops tomato soup down Anj's shirt, then runs away*
I'm exhausted! Mercy! Truce! Detente!
THAT'S an invitation!! here's the potato Anj.....
I have no mercy! *throws mashed banana at Judi* *evil laughter*
*Anj is merciful to ToeSock, but launches bowl of taramasalata at Miyavi's fleeing back*
Does anyone have a breakdown of the y's? And please speak up... I seem to have mashed banana in my ears.
*hugs Anj's ankles* Thank you!

Right, while you lot have been hurling food around I've plugged on and finished all my words.:-) I'm off to put away the rest of my shopping now and have a nice toasted sandwich made with camembert, bacon & green grapes. After that I'm going to make a plum & custard tart (NOT for throwing!) I'll nip in and out to see if anyone wants clues.
HURRAY! I have a profile now! When I get home I will post a picture :)
Is anyone attending to Suebhoney? She's fainted.
Ha, Sprite! I work at the Police station! Working (or Babbling rather) right now as a matter of fact.
Suebhoney is finished!
Hey, no fair! Anj, you're supposed to call me if there are group showers/ custard baths going on!!!

Any clues for to 7/28 please????????
Anj, lotti, gotta disappear for a while but will be back later :)
dazza, if you went to the best party in town, with all the A-list people decked out to the hilt, and expensive food, wine and entertainment, it would be the classiest, the to7 party in town.
Woot, have just put food on so have a few more minutes of babbling to do! Also...er...McNaStud? If you want people to help you, it's not necessary to yell at them and call them nerds. Maybe asking nicely would work better? Just an idea, though
22 words. Had loads more fun with you guys!!!! : )) have to get ready to go meet a friend, hope you all have lovely evenings! Over and out from lovely, sunny London!
Ooops! And bye mom :)
..the moments will seem like years until you return :'(

Greetings all... back from lunch...
Hi Jera - we're all wearing lunch lol :)
...talking of which, it's feeding time :) Anyone need anything before I go and hassle the fridge??
yeah, I read some of that... can't say I'm sorry I missed it... ;>
de4/5 - a number of letters de/45 - a colorless oily liquid insect and tick repellent C12H17NO de4/8 (and de5/18 plural) - no definition but the singular word is in this clue
de6/30 - goes against, disobeys de4/8 - quick, skilful & adroit de5/12 - a person who believes God created the universe & then abandoned it de6/21 - to hate
du 4/5 what coats every flat surface in my house
LOL ScoutsMum.
Jacula? is that really what de/5 12 means?
my daughter is so sweet i just do4/5 on her all the time
do4/5 - 3rd person singular present tense of word meaning to perform an action do5/12 - archaic form of 2nd person singulat present tense of the above. do4/5 - to show excessive affection do/32 - those who do the above might be described as this do4/5 - tiny round marks
DailyDog - Yes. They believe God created the universe and left it at that. No watching over us or anything like that.
left us to start food fights?
du4/5 - what you might have to pay du4/5 - what's on every flat surface in ScoutsMum's house and mine du4/5 - Simon & Garfunkel might be described as this du6/21 - obligations
Dazza - those are the clues for all the 'd's'.
great clues, jacula!! thanks!
yo again...though tried to keep away, just couldn't resist the pull of babble...
Brilliant jacula Thanks
Hi, Macadam
I have a clue for d4/8 ...agile. Hope that helps!
thanks Jacula!
Hi miyavi.Have you cleaned up after the food fight????
i love how you change my name, jacula. that's very charming.
um...almost...*quickly grabs sponge*
Hey, Miavi - you must be getting a little crusty if you haven't washed up yet. Those hovering flies should be a clue...
I'm stuck on the et's, help please?
Much better.Welcome back.
I'm clean, it's just that my food-splattered surroundings aren't! Love the new icon, Judi! A fine example of what us here at babble are all about.
et5/12 -- musical composition et6 -- plural of et5
Well, the icon certainly fits the food fight we had today. God only knows what I'll have to change it to tomorrow! **** shudders at the thought ***
there, there, just take it one day at a time, Judi! ^_^
Alloalloallo. Wot's all this then?
It was all Anj's fault, constable!
There seem to be great quantities of diverse foodstuffs strewn about the place. Almost as if some person or persons had commited acts likely to cause a breech of the peace, not to mention cleanliness. I may be forced to make enquiries...
*tries hard not to look guilty*
**whistling innocently and picking rice pudding out of hair**

*smack* duh! i can't believe i didn't see that. thank you!
I'm always looking for clues. (a little bobby humor) (sorry, humour) How about the "a" words?
I've got to get off to make dinner now. It was a laugh reading the food fight.:-)
Ack! Thanks, Jacula... don't know how I missed that!
Still working on the Fs...
Still got some Fe s to go, but here are the Fi s and Fr s: fi4/7 fi4/7 fi4/7 fi5/16 fi 4/7 fr5/18 fr5/16 fr4/7 fr5/16 fr6/27
fe4/8 fe4/8 fe5/18 fe4/7 f e4/7 fe5/16 fe7/44 fe5/16 fe4/ 8 fe5/18 fe4/7 fe5/18 fe5/ 16 f e5/16
Found the fi4, just need last fe5 now... soooo tired of F's!!
How many ni5's are there??
3 nis
oops, misread :) 2 x ni5/10
ty... didna wanna waste time looking for something that wasn't there!
could I get a clue for the ni5, not the evening? Thank you.
Sorry, I'm a little slow on giving clues today. Keyboard sticky from earlier food fight. Hey, Miayvi.... pass me that sponge.
ni5 -- a world leader in portable x-ray fluorescence (XRF) technology :)
or... ni5: think a popular camera brand with a different middle letter
sproing--I thank you, but you are out of my area of knowledge. I am going to have to think hard on that one. :)
Opposite of day + opposite of off.
I find google handy in times of extreme need...
Thank you all, the combined clues helped. Whew! Finished with the ni's
Oh my gosh! I never thought of google!
Gotta go do some real work. See you all tomorrow. Wear your macs. It could get messy in here.
I need the 4th fe5/16... have parties, baby & partied... help?
So long, Judi... thanks for the help!
Later, Judi.
Jera, think of a deceptive attack or "fake-out"... there's an fe7 that builds off of it.
try adding a vowel to the middle of the first fe4/8
You're looking for a word relating to paper - i.e narrow fe--- and margin.
That has a D in it, doesn't it sproing? That would make 18...
ahh yes, you are correct. I need to learn to read :)
That sounds like something I don't have, Haz, ty... I'll go search on that...
Best I can come up with is header & footer... can you give me another hint, Haz??
It sounds like a word for 'to swoon' but replace the first vowel with an e.
Jera, are you sure you're not missing the fe5/16 that sounds like what you do when you pass out suddenly, and is spelled the same except for that second letter?
could someone help with a clue on the pe6, not the small one? Thanks.
im missing one N from the corner, i have: no4/4 no4/4 no5/10 no4/4
You'r emissing an NO5 12 related to an NO 4 4
there's an no 5/12 too
Sheila Rae -- a type of cactus...also kinda sounds like a wolf-like creature in the western US...
Sheila Rae: narcotic cactus in the Southwest
Thank you, I just got it, my eyes just wouldn't put the letters together. Thank you both.
DOH! thanks guys...coulda sworn id tried that, but i always miss the obvious!
That's it!! Thanks, Haz & sfneil! Good-bye F's!!
Ugh. I am down to a single s. What am I not seeing? se4/5 se4/7 se5/16 se 4/4 se5/10 si4/7 si6/30 si4/4 si5/12 si5/10 si5/14 st5/14 st 5/10 su4/5 su5/12 su4/4 Thank s, everyone!
Any clues on the e`s please??????????
never mind! Found it! Done! Hurray!
It's tough being advanced, sfneil... hard to find people who can help you... ;>
Two of your e's are musical terms relating to the French for study.
e4/7 - baby amphibians e5/12 - musical composition e6/21 - plural of e5
Oh Jera, lots of people help me... in so many ways!!
*edges nervously back into forum* Hi folks :) Any more flying pies?
No, we're the straitlaced evening crowd...
sfneil -- im missing the same S you were missing before...got a hint?
not yet, Anj, but I'm sure some could be arranged *evil grin*
si5/10 evanidine -- means 'position' -- starts and ends in same letter
m he was missing si5/10
er, sorry! "evanadine"
hurricane Rita sounds grim
need last fe4/7 any clues please
so theres Si5/10 x3? i have the position one, as well as the one dealing with web pages...
Which fe 4/7's do you have already?
Is there instruction on how to decipher codes like 4/7, 5/10? Everything I've tried doesn't work. First timer.
only 2 x si5/10's
4/7 -- first number is number of letters in the word, second is number of points in the word (see small numbers on letter tiles)
Any clues for the fe 7/44 please????????
fe7/44 past tense of fe5/16 meaning a fake-out, as in swordfighting
fe4's us cops, provide food, subscriptions; and what you walk on
Fe7/44 is related to the fe5/16. It sounds like the past tense of 'swoon' but is spelt with an e instead of a.
Thanx vicuna
ok, then im missing one S, i have: se4/5 se4/7 se5/16 se4/4 se5/10 si4/7 si6/30 si4/4 si5/12 si5/10 si5/10 st5/14 st5/10 su4/5 su5/12 su4/4
Thanks, Knuckles.
how many fe4/7 are there. i have 2 are there any more
you need si5/14 as well
evandine, you are missing a si 5/14. Do your abwork, girlfriend!
there are 3x fe4/7's
You're missing si5/14 (so am I!), evandine...
If you do lots of si 5/14's, you too could have wonderful stomach muscles.
fe4/7's subs; what you walk on; a gala
thanks, fordo -- no wonder i couldnt see it...my mind ignores anything physically active. ;)
Could I have help with si6/30, my last s...
Jera past tense of a si4/7

Any clues for the do 6/32 please????
there is no do6/32
there is a do7/32 though

Is it safe to come back now? there's no more foodstuffs flying about is there? ;o)
Well what you walk on is in there somewhere - you have to find it and enter it
ya 4/9
got it thanks only 4 to go
still having a hard time w/ baby amphibian / newt?
Memi, the code we use just describes the type of word ok? F'rinstance au4/4 means: - word starts with a - 2nd letter is u - has 4 letters - and is worth 4 points
oh thank you so much im just a little new at this
Memi, for an easy start, looks for a word beginning with f. It has four letters and means the sort of tree used at Christmas. You will get a score of 7 for it.
Can't do much better than immature newt and there is a N American species
baby newt is a plural as well
whats the 2nd letter?
ahh thank ye. Immature newt got me what I needed.
You are twisting my arm! It's an f
Memi, give it a week or so and you will be up to speed, i'm sure :) Oh, one more thing. 4 letter words are worth face value 5 letters are 2 x 6 are 3 x 7 are 4 x etc ...just in case you wondered how the points rack up
wow what has happened to the tiles a new font Dr God? nice and clear though the numbers are a little pale to read
and again DOH! this time i kept trying to go up, not down!
e 4x7 sounds like the word for opposite of "right" -- then omit the first letter and add an s at the end
fordo- bet you never thought you'd use THAT sentence!LOL! Hi all, I'm back:) Have the others been behaving themselves?
im so bad at this i cant even find the word for a christmast tree thet i was told to look for
Hi Moozey :) Eek...my grid has gone all emaciated :/
well they are not oaks or elms but...?
It starts with f, go up one, then to the left, then down, then to the right! Also for your next word add t.
I prefer the old tiles if I am honest Anj
points on grid are much clearer I think
Memi, sounds like animal coats but uses a different vowel :)
I have one y5 left - can someone give me a clue - I have the y5 with a double consonant near the end
ive found sixteen words so far and ive been on fro 10 minuites lol tankyou all x
Me too, Moozey. Spelit, I think that's the asnwer. The tile values have increased in size which has effected the letters maybe??
the y4/7's have plurals don't forget
Have you pluralised it and have you got the Abominable Snowmen?
Lola :) I can stop pining now...
Yes I like these tiles
As a few of you have noticed, the tiles have changed a little. I got a little letter from Hasbro, so I've had to make a few changes. ;) Some of you may need to do a few force-reloads to get all the old tiles to be flushed out of your browser's cache. Or you can just empty your browser's cache manually.
Alloalloallo. Who changed the font?
Well done, memi - a new obsession begins...
woo hoo nice tiles
HASBRO huh? It was only a matter of time -
Cheers Dr God. I hope it was a nice letter...
oh unlucky Dr God, that is a pain. Intellectual Property Rights is a pain in the butt
my tiles havent changed
They have a copyright on the appearance of the tiles??
ugh. missing the third fe4/8. driving me batty.
click on View/Refresh memi
Things could have been worse. They said nothing regarding Boggle - only Scrabble. So I only had to change the tiles a little.
but if i refres i will lose my words wont i
Give me a break - I like the new look though
Aaah, were you pining babe? Have to relinquish control of computer for short while but will not be gone long....
Must be giving the big boys something to worry about Dr_God or they wouldn't be harassing you about it
Dr G - why does the puzzle keep freezing up every thirty or so seconds? It makes it difficult to read the log or type words.
fe4/8's us cops, provide food, a war of attrition
memi- You won't lose your words. They're stored behind the scenes.
For another f48..al capone was always on the look out for the Fe--. the word is plural.
Memi, that shouldn't happen. Just press f5 to get the new look (although you might already have if you've only just logged in) Your words are stored even if you log out :)
probably hurricane RITA, it's getting blamed for everything else...
could use some help with the Os, i have: od4/5 ou4/4 ou5/12
jrs- It's the chat log auto-refreshing itself. Some browsers have a problem with it. Firefox seems to be the best at handling it. I'm working on adding a feature that will allow you to turn off the auto-refresh.
BTW..am in for an hour. Sure hope i can find at least 5 more words in that time..acky poooooooh. (hi, all)
od 5 12 od 4 5 ou4 5 ou 4 4 ou 5 12 ou 6 27
is Firefox something that I can access myself? If so, how, please?
Dr God - Have forced multiple refreshes but cannot get the K Y A and P to change to the new look
Dr G can you find a way to slim people down as elegantly as the grid letters .I`ll buy some of that.
jrs- Click the Firefox banner on the right of the page, and download it. Anyone can use it.
jrs, check out the link on the right of the page ;)
evanadine you need od5/12 ou4/5 and ou6/27
macadam- I've got some snake oil with your name it. ;)

Hi mother how you doing? I lke the grid they`re better to see now :o)
Yea, I'm done, thank the gods... why did font change?? I seriously can hardly see these tiles without straining my eyes... could they be thicker/bolder perhaps??
doing fine and dandy so far.
i dont like the new font!!! AHHH!!! there goes my handicap.
Hasbro didn't like the old ones
I think Hasbro owned the copyright for it, so Dr God had to change them
almost done, just missing a buncha Ds now. i have: de4/5 de4/8 de6/21 do4/5 do7/32 do4/5 du4/5 du4/5 du4/5 du6/21

4 more de's needed
ok I must be really dumb today.... I was wondering why I had so few f's and t's, and then I realized that I hadn't even seen the fr's and the tr's.... arrgh!
Oh well, if everybody else likes it, I guess I'll get used to it! This may help with my Babble additction...
Has everyone else got a point value of 1 on the F tile?
Yes that should be 4 shouldn't it
boys..i do..and I think it should be 4..
well, boohoo for hasbro. I'm suprised they aren't bitchin about the name too. Boggle and Scrabble are both copyrighted. hmm... well, maybe Dr. God could find a font that's closer to the original.
Boysaway thats well spotted :)
bobsta sorry no idea on the to7/28 'mr blair' clue any others? please
Dr God, was that delibrate (the F points)
I am missing an si5, could someone help me. I have the si5/10, si5/12, and si5/14.

thanks Jera.
Bugzy, great clue!
Thanx Munner. I would have said most like my husband (who shares Mr. Danza's name) but no one would have gotten that! :o)
crap, not three minutes ago I was complaining about the new font and I'm already getting used to it. I'm such a jerk.
LOL boreetos
There are two si5/10's

Just got it. Needed to go up instead of down. Thanks all.
boreetos... addition is a wondrous thing... :>
Hello to each and everyone. I just completed my 2nd babble. And my husband isn't even home yet. He'll actually get my attention this evening. This is the worst and best game ever. Is there medication to get you off this?

Sorry about the "F" tile, folks. I've fixed the point value. Refresh the page, and it should be a "4" again.
fr5 (same as the fr4, just alternate spelling) has something to do with the stuff used in glassmaking and enameling

Ayup should be a word. Gary Cooper said it all the time.
Is there de6/30x2?
A clue for the fr6 please?
somewhat ironic that I keep seeing the word "tedious" amidst these tiles... Dr. God, what have you done?!
Fr6 is a plural of an fr5, which is an fr4 with a doubled letter at the end
Hugabug I only have 1 d6/30
Thanks Bugzy, that helped.
Are there 4 fr4/7s? I have the sherry, the trees, and what you punch with. Is there another?
Torgone I say ayup myself ;)
macadam - thanks... I'm just trying to make sense of all these
you know what really grinds my gears?! when the same word appears twice in the puzzle, and when I find the second one, it tells me I've already used that word. grrr. I'm having a difficult day. :p
I know what you mean.
Dr_God looks just like ZZ Top! That's clinched it -- I'm paying my $9.95 now.

Does anyone have a clue for de 5/18 and do 5/12?
sorry Munner not there yet
Munner -- de 5 -- belief in a greater power do 5 -- second person singular present tense of DO
munner the de5/18 is like the word that means doing something you've been told not to less one vowel
Oops, sorry Munner -- gave you a clue for the wrong de. My apologies :)
Thanks for the do 5 Cathy.
the de word ends the last three letter of...... if you figure out the meaning you get the g___ of it
anyone got any brilliant clues for the f7?
F7 - Past tense of F5/16.
My brain is resisting clues for the de 5/18
you don't get the gist of it? change the gist first letter to de
i dont think i have that particular f 5/16 any clues for that word?!
This game is not for the fe--- of heart.
munner take the first 4 letters of the de6/30 and add a letter
F5/16 - think fencing or fighting, move to the right when you mean to go left. "A deceptive action calculated to divert attention from one's real purpose."
to celebrate something is one...and the other is an unborn child
thanks guys. I feel much better now.
can i have a different clue for the do5 please??
Kristen, I think they refer to the prime minister

lianakate, that's the one everyone was giving me clues for.
De5/18 - pl. of the De4/8.
lian akate to be d*** is not to hear, take out one vowel
blaze saved me again - thanks!
ty, but if I take out one vowel..it will only be 3 letters?..i am being obtuse..but am Polish, and BLONDE..sort of a double whammy..ha
use the 3 letters and add is
De5/18 - Take the last e out of the De6/30.

NOW..(she said , blushing)..I need an FE4/7..(i just want to finish a puzzle so badly!)

lianakate, the 29th is "my baby boy's" birthday, too. He'll be 27 years old and will be a first time daddy in February. Wish I lived closer to you, I would make you my special chocolate birthday cake.
Ex..when it dark, its NI--time..but not spelled with the g...
If you had headlice, you might have a ni--- your scalp! Sorry guys for the gross clue. I used to teach elementary school.
Oh lianakate! you'll just have to make huge party plans for March and have all the celebrations together.Keep babbling. This chat log is great fun. Did you see the food fight earlier - fantastic comedy I laughed out loud!

HAHAHA..Snowy..this is the SOUTH..where all the men go turkey hunting in the spring..and the ladies where red hats..(take off on garrison keiller)..or whatever his name is..Prairie home companion
Thanks Munner and lianakate, I have both of those, but there is another ni5
*wear*..gawd.
can anyone help with fe 5 16 si 5 14 its my last two
There are only two NI5's and munner described the hard one quite adequately. One is plural, the other is like two words for the lice babies and their location...
i have gotten myself so wound up..I am going outside to smoke!!!!
Thanks brandyjack, am I stupid or what. Now I can go to bed, goodnight all.
Noght (nite)..ex..sleep well
Night Ex Wren I must be really, really stupid cos I cant get it at all.
you might have a ni_ _ _ your scalp..........
larlielou the fe 5/16 sounds like 'to swoon' but has a different 1st vowel
i tried to space it out prop0erly, but babble negated my efforts. ni_ _ _ your scalp
I need clues please for fe 5/16 (not the fe--- of heart) and fi 4/7 (not the trees or the one that sounds like a hanging plant). thanks
Thankyou munner and brandyjack I must just need to see everything twice before I get it. Old age doesn't come alone!
munner think of a word another word for wine and change the first letter to f
fe5/16 a small mongrel dog
ok let me clarify that is the 4 letter f - someone who drinks too much wine is this
fe5/16 someone who is courageous might be called fe***y, remove the y
Got it speedfreak. ty
thx, kristin. See y'all after The Apprentice.

ok only 7 words to go - any clue for the pe6/33?
Hiya everyone. Just come back from watching 'The Rainmaker', a Frances Ford Coppola movie from a John Grisham book. Does anyone think that Matt Damon looks a lot like Leo de Caprio?
pe6/33 - a cactus without spines, mescal, favoured by hippies. Sounds a bit like 'coyote'.
I think Leo is much prettier - Matt is more masculine
Finished.........anyone need anything before I say goodnight?
thanks jac - how about the si5/14?
si5/14 an exercise for the stomach muscles
thanks speedfreak!
Snowyowl - since you're in UK you might have seen the ad for Nytol - the stuff to help you sleep. You ni4 has the a different 2nd letter (obviously) and is 2 letters on in its ending.
cbr1965 - well Matt was more masculine when he was beating that wife-beater round the head with a baseball bat!
But, yes, Leo de C does have a somewhat girly face. (And 'Titanic' was at least an hour too long. His version, I mean, not the original.)
CB..dang i didnt recognise you..Hi jac.. :)
Hi Kate. Your name was in yesterday's grid.
How are those disobedient and rebellious swimmers of yours?
But the reality is they are both cute! As is the guy that's my icon!
Jac..and I didnt see it?..bet not ..there is Liane and liana..
LOL, CBR. When I saw your icon earlier I thought it was Prince William.
No, liankate, it was just Kate. Jera was in the day befores. No Babbler that I can spot in today's though.:-(
I am missing 5 dang S's,,two su's (i have the greasy one)..one st 5/14 m abd 2 se's, 4/5 and 5/16,, is there a good samaritan out there?..(llooking hopeful)
So, what do we all think of the new slimline tiles Dr_God's been forced to adopt? I have one thing to say about the reason why he's had to change the tiles. The one thing the company who 'owns' the 'right' to them may have forgotten is that many people who enjoy playing this game might have thought about buying the de-luxe version of theirs come Christmas (and having people round). Perhaps they may now not do so, given the aggro?
su4/5 - litigated against su5/12 - brushed leather
Jac..think Will is smart enought to play this?..Not, if he takes after daddy..lol..
Jac. I got those immediately..ty, ty, ty!!
Kate - I think Will's a lot smarter than his daddy.
I agree..and a darn good looking kid , too
Will is cute even if not so smart - my icon is both!
NOW..i have 12 words to find..am very pleased AND determined to finish..with the help of my babbler friends..I have only finished one puzzle about 2 weeks ago..and lately havent had the will. (too depressed)..ACK
st5/14 - Definition is: A small porch, platform, or staircase leading to the entrance of a house or building. However, think what you might have to do, if you were tal, to get through a low doorway and change the 2nd vowel of the word tothe 5th vowel.l
who is it , CB?
I've got 26 to go tonight - I'm sure I'll need some help from you gals in a minute!
I need those other 3 s/s ..that will dwindle it down somewhat..and CB..if I can help...I surely will!!!
THe guy is Jason Dohring but the character is Logan on Veronica Mars, best show on US TV
se4/5 - what a plant grows from
se5/16 - plural of your se4/7
i've got one y left and 3 n - the others are s, d, t , f which I have many, many to find!
I don't have the se4/7. Is it an obvious one?
cbr - I assume you have one abominable snowman and more than one?
yes
se4/7 - sounds like something you'd find on a bush or a tree.
I dont have an se 4/7
ye4/11 - something you might say if you saw something you didn't like?
Jacula, thanks found the se4/7 and its plural.

Kate - don't beat yourself up. I share your filthy habit.
Me too, girls
LOL, jac..you are clever!! Babble clues for dummys ..lol, ty
You are missing the plural of your 2nd ye4/7.
no - I have that one
It was the first one - I thought it was in but NOT
Funny you should say that, Kate, the so-called dummy thing I mean. I wrote the first computer handbook for 'dummies'. LOL.
i checked on my y's..i am probably missing the one she is ye5/6 ..now outside for the cig..dont smoke in the house..it new..lol
Jacula - you're kidding right? That book was huge
JAC...thats what i was basing my remarks on..omg, youre filthy rich..i even bought it..HAHAHA
cbr - you either have more than one Abominable snowman for your ye5/16 or you have 2 of your other ye4/7.
Sorry - I got it - it was the first ye4/7 - I thought I had put it in but hadn't - duh!
Wish I was filthy rich, Kate. Wish I'd realised what I was producing when I wrote it. AAARGH!
Very cool to know someone that wrote an iconic book!
Youre next assignment.."Word games for the less than proficient"..lol
what is this MARS show?..i have never heard of it?..Is it science fiction?..i happen to love science fiction..
I need two no - I have all three musical ones
More likely to be a book of good old recipes, Kate, t be honest. I've got kinda sick of people asking me for recipes on the net and then telling me how they've SOLD the produce.
No - it isn;t scifi (which I also love) but it has smart writing, great character development and very good sotrylines - UPN, Wednesdays at 9:00
no4/4 - the opposite of the 'yes' votes.
do you have the latin word?..with the ous?..
Great clues - thanks - I thought that last one was French!
the other is a plain NO..with an es..that should do it.. :)
Kate, that no word was the first one I saw in today's grid. Then I went on to the next one on the first line (an 'Ou').
duh..it is french..i get my many languages confused...NOW ..out for my ciggie...am breathing to death..all this fresh air..
i still need 9 words..dont desert me whilst i am gone..(((((((hugs))))))))) ladies.
I still need the two se5
Kate, haven't checked back on the chat log yet, but did the 3rd Welsh member of the contingent in there answer my greeting? They wer South Walians, admitted, many of whom don't speak Welsh. All I said was 'good morning' and 'welcome!'.
se5 think of a sound alike for another name for the devil
se5/10 - Attacked (all in one word. SE* on). Se5/16 - plural of your se4/7 that sounds like foliage.
I've got those and still short one
Which one are you short of CBR?
Here's what I have se 4 5 se 4 7 se 5 16 se 5/10
I have 5 se's i must be missing one too.

I'd love to break 100 tonight. Any hints for the a's?
I need an st5/14.. :(

'blackstone' is a weird word, too, as is its plural. Both are in today's grid.
only black stone I can think of is an onyx..and its not in the puzzle..
st5/14, sounds like when you st*** underneath something to get through except the 2nd to last letter is a 'u'
st 5/14 another way to spell the area in front of a house where people sit.
Kate - imagine making soup and then add the letter that cmes after the initial letter of that to the word.
i am still missing 9 words the st, and i think ye5/6 ..other than that I dont know, o major ugh.
Incidentally, hould anyone want to know, today's icon is my hunting cat, the one that looks like the Bacardi Breezer ad cat, trying to get hold of sme chicken skin. But he's DANCING! Like he was outside the window tonight, trying t chase various insects...
the only thing i can think of speaking soup wise..needs a ck...
smart kitty! smarter than Liana..lol, she cant find the fargin st
Try again for that clue.... Thing of someone shoulting 'Halt!' ( but using an St word for it. Then add the 5th vowe before the last lettrl.)
i got the first 3 letters ..after that ..I am lost..the 5th vowel?.. I need a different clue, i think..lol. I am dense as hell..how I get this far on the puzzles i will never know..then I need help, and am usually toooooo tired to finish..ack
The vowels: a, e, i, o, u...
Every othe letter of the alphabet is a consonant.
Could someone please remind me of the word count? I tried once aagain to show all messages and as always my computer froze up.
i know that..a, e i , o, u..and sometimes Y
c,mon Kate. I'm rooting for you...x
Y is NOT a consonant, Kate.
121 is the word count..(which, btw, i will never make)
121 words, Eva.
Kate it took me a while too, but the clue that did it for me is what a tall person has to do to get under a doorway ...then change the second o for another vowel.
I know what you mean about the impossibility of reaching the promised land. But I did break 100 so now I can go to sleep.
no..lmao..the nuns said the vowels were..a, e, i, o, u and sometimes "Y" i know the difference between vowels and consonants!!! I just cant figure out that damn word..LOL...too cryptic for me.
A-2, d-17, E-3, F-24, I-1, N-8, O-6, P-6, R-7, S-17, T-22, U-1, Y-7
eva..i got that one..its another one..
Hints please for these 2: fe 4/8 and fe 5/18 that comes after the 2nd fe 5/16
4-lletter words -62, 5 = 41, 6=14, 7=4.
Munner - kind of like a Greek white cheese with a different vowel at the end
one of the fe ..is what Al capone was always fleeing from..the govt..*slang^
Kate - stoup.
I got stoup..a long time ago..its the other one!
the other is when a person is off their fe--! not eatng
so,Kate, if it's an 'si' it must be the gym one? The one that makes your abominal muscles ache?
I need the 3rd fe 4/8. Have those 2.
I need a to6 and a tr5 - i have: to6/21 and tr5/12 and tr5/10 - any suggestions for the others
I am sorry, Jac..i wrote down bobstas words..and the screen kept jumping up and down..so I might have missed something..I have the gym one...
But if it's an st5/10 you're looking for - it's a kndof dark beear tht Ena Sharples, Martha Longhurst and Minnie Longhurst used to drink in Coronation St. back in the 60's. Failing that,. it's a description of a rather overweight short person.
got that one too..thanks jac...i am messed up with my list apparently
*meant Minnie Caldwell, etc.
cbr - check my def. for to6/21x2 at 3:33 and 3:32
i dont have a 3rd one..i am missing that too

My fingers were dizzy from monkey typing. Thanks, Blaze.
Hi baggo!
by the time i get through flipping back and forth..i forget what letters you needed CB...Old man river ..blank that bale.. with an ed...
what happened to the letters???
I was just gonna ask that. So it's not my eyes or my computer, eh?
no they look really weird...pale...was on early am and they looked normal..
they look thinner and elongated, and the tile numbers are at the top now.
there was a problem with hasbro..baggo. Dr. had to stop using scrabble like looking tiles..
Dr_God was forced by Hasbro to change the typestyle, etc. to avoid litigation with the Scrabble people
copyright infringements...
ohh, not sure i like the new ones, will take getting used to i'm sure... 8/
Okay - I have the tr5/10s that are attempted and hackneyed - can I get a clue for the last one, please? THanks!
Dr. G got a letter from Hasbro, which institution took umbrage with his use off their scrabble tiles. Thus the change. He posted earlier today to explain.
how irritating for dr. g
Notice the "F" has a tile value of 1..that isnt correct..supposed to be 4..

Iam missing the one of the first fe 4/7 and the fe 5/16 after the fe 7/44 any help please
Thanks for your help Jacula - sleep tight!
Bless you, Blaze. Those fe words were my last two for this puzzle. I've finished two in a row. Unbelievable for this frazzled brain. G'nite all, unless someone needs a clue from me.
For the fe5 after the 44 - think of what a bank hold up is and then change the first letter to an f
first fe 4/7 - you have to pay these.
nite munner...have a great night..
munner - since you are now an expert on these - I think I am missing two fe's could you look at my list a little down the log and tell me what they are?
Please, anybody can you help with the pe5, that isn't the small size? This is my last word.
I only have one pe5 and that is it - my p's are greyed out
there is a pu5 that is what a golfer does when he is close to a hole
cbr you are missing an fe4/8 which is singular of one of you fe5/18
baggo - I must be missing both the 4 and the 5 because I have the singulars of all my 5/18's - hints?
I'm sorry to be such a pain tonight but I'm down to 6 words and am determined to finish as I fall asleep at the keyboard!
cbr you have all fi's...do you have a clue for the second fe5/16 at the end... and you're fe4/8 and 5/18 mean feud or blackstone...(change a vowel)

Let me know what you need - I need de4X2, de5X1 and de6X1 -i have the 5 and 6 that relate to God and hate and the two 4/5 that are the same except for the last letter
There are only two et and both have to do with music - spelled like study in French - one plural
you need a 4/8,6/30 5/18 and think to disobey...
and you need this 4/8 Quick and skillful; adroit
that last one is hilarious - that was the first word I saw last night because I had just found it in yesterday's puzzle - Iswear I think sometimes the poltergeists take some of the words I have already entered away!

pe6/33.ni5/10 (not the pl of 4) and pe5/14 all i have left
Finally! Good luck everyone.
the pe is usually associated with american indian hallucinogenic rituals - rhymes with coyote
the ni has the same start as the other 5/10 with a preposition at the end
ty cbr...now just the ni...and i am done...
the pe5 is the same as your pe6/24 minus the last letter
Let's try a new clue for the ni - if your head is itchy, you may have a ni_ __ on your scalp ( that was courtesy of someone earlier, Anj maybe)
