I have this nagging line that goes on in my head, just not enough to waken the memory of what exact song, but I know it will come up if I don't think about it. And then I'll probably find it is not exactly that word, but something that sounds like it, LOL.

Oh, it's not that I know them. I do a lot of monkey typing and when I'm really stuck a2zwordfinder helps too. Plus, the more you play the more you remember the odd words.
its the clues that you all give that help the beginners like me get right into the obsessiveness of it all!
I so enjoy some of the ways the clues are given. Some with total disregard to the meanings... it's so funny sometimes. But, they do work.

It seems that players bring various skills to the game; Brandyjack likes to research the words and is great at giving clues. Sprite and Hugs are simply blazing stars, and so on. Different strengths. Others, like me, are, one hopes, improving, learning new tricks, etc.
I think what brings me back the most is the Babble community. They are all so friendly and eager to help.
That's so true, Hugs. I'm so taken with how each person's personality comes through. It is like a little community.
I enjoy the chitchat so much. I really wish we had a way to chat off the Babble board also.

i only discovered it a week or so ago. Since i love scrabble I got right into it and it has dominated my time ever since, except when i am workng or socialising or being responsible. There are certain people who you take a liking too either because they are really smart, really kind, really funny or just likable..they become familiar.
Was away for a while, just read up the log. I agree totally, this is a very nice community. More into getting everyone to the finish than into competing, that's what I like so much. And the fun. People here can be so witty and have such great remarks. :)
I used to have IRC set up on my old computer, but I don't have it on this one, and I can't remember how to do it. I've never used Yahoo chat... but it seems like a feasible way to go too.

I am starting to suspect babble of erasing words. That last grid with 'geez' in it... it was the first word I entered, and halfway I tried to finish the Gs, couldn't, checked my list, and there was no 'geez' to be seen. Very odd.

Sprite - I've wondered the same thing but then I figure that I just thought the word or wrote it but didn't acutally type it in.
sprite, sometimes I put words in and I'm not watching the screen, then I realise I mistyped it or something so it's not there and when it's a big grid or an s or something you don't notice it's missing til you've forgotten, do you know what I mean

Must be something like that, but I am certain I saw the word 'geez' on my list, since it was the very first word. But somewhere on that day I lost all my words too, except the last one I entered, and they came back after a forced refresh. Maybe something went wrong there. Dianne: W6 spelled differently.

ferrari - the method I use for choosing icons is to go on to Google images, and type in the words "buddy icons", along with the type of icon I'm looking for, then I save the icon onto the hard drive, and go from there...

Clear your caches on both IE and Firefox, Evanadine and also do a disk clean-up, ticking all boxes. Then run Spybot. After that, if you haven't done it in a while, defrag your computer. But, for now, try pressing F5 and see if that works.
After that, do all the earlier things at least twice daily, do the spybot twice a week at least, and defrag at leat once a month.
