12:22 am

I wonder who complained that we never have enough d's.

12:22 am

Now I'm really curious to find this other i6

12:23 am

Hugs it is in the same area.... I got that one first and then went back after your music clue.....

12:25 am

I think I got it... it's an anagram of mine. That's where I'll be most of the winter.

12:25 am

thats the one

12:26 am

Just got Hugabugs's. I'd like hers for the winter.

12:26 am

Darn, I had yours already without realising it, hugs :) If I can't even count to 6, can I finish this grid?

12:27 am

I can't figure out how there can be 125 words in this grid.

12:27 am

F6/27, don't think it has been mentioned yet.

12:27 am

LOL Sprite... Oh we know you can!

12:29 am

No seriously! I took your anagram clue, paper and pencil, found another word with those letters, entered it and got the "oops, you dummie, you entered that already" message. It is too early for this :)

12:31 am

You just need to wake up a bit more... it's early! ;o)

12:36 am

are the stats up yet?

12:44 am

Good night Blaze, Munner.

1:14 am

ugh, car alarm malfunctioning. police say we have to wait 45 minutes before they'll tow... guess I'm up for a while :)

1:15 am

E7/48 Bad start of the day, Krys10... hope it is over soon.

1:15 am

That doesn't sound like too much fun Krys

1:15 am

Is your alarm on now?

1:16 am

Does anyone know how many D words there are in this thing?

1:16 am

I think it's 33 D's

1:17 am

d6/24x2

1:18 am

Not my car alarm, someone parked on my street - ten seconds on, ten seconds off. Sprite, remember it's the *end* of my day :)

1:20 am

I assumed it wasn't your car. It is so getting on ones nerves, that noise, I hate it too. Bad luck, now you'll have to babble until it stops :)

1:20 am

Oh, that sounds painful, Krys10! What a nuisance.

1:20 am

yeah, poor me, especially with all these great clues lying around for me to find :)

1:21 am

It's a very odd grid, I think.

1:21 am

And nobody complaining you stay up way too late just to babble... you are justified now!

1:22 am

I agree, mab.

1:22 am

Also E7/44

1:22 am

I'm sad that there's no "fodder" or "midwife"

1:22 am

it looks good at first glance... then you find the words you thought were there really aren't.

1:23 am

Nor misdoer and misdoes.

1:23 am

I see widow every time I look at it

1:23 am

Or custody. I think that's all the 7s Sprite.

1:25 am

Or indices. ahhh, ear plugs...

1:25 am

Siddow, as in Max von, is distracting me, and I don't even know who that is (just a detached name floating in my head).

1:26 am

D7/48 E7/48 E7/44 M7/48 S7 /36 T7/36

1:27 am

I actually own several sets of ear plugs (extremely sensitive to sound at times). Odd.

1:27 am

Sprite - I thought someone said earlier that the were @ S7/36. Were they wrong?

1:28 am

I wish a could send you a fresh pair through cyberspace, Krys10.

1:28 am

there are two S7/36, right? (not that I've found any sevens yet with this racket!)

1:28 am

You could have a pair of mine, Krys10 - but before you got them, the noise will have stopped, I am sure :) And yo

1:29 am

and you will be sound asleep, I was typing, when the message posted itself. Odd indeed.

1:29 am

Yeah, I've been searching for the other s7

1:30 am

I only have the 6 I listed, and the stats panel says there are no more. Are the stats wrong?

1:31 am

mab, can you confirm the S7/36 x2?

1:33 am

Yay! Tow truck is here! Not long now...

1:33 am

Hmmm...I may be the culprit. I posted that there was another S7, and I don't remember what I was thinking. I must have made a mistake.

1:34 am

Perhaps the T7, they are close.

1:34 am

Yey Krys! I'm sorry, I can't confirm. Must be only one. Sorry.

1:34 am

No problem mab... it's late for us.

1:38 am

And what an S it is!

1:38 am

Actually, such an S should count double ;)

1:40 am

The tow truck took the noisy naughty car away and I immediately found three 7's! can't stop now...

1:40 am

You need to unwind before you can sleep, Krys10 :D

1:41 am

and Babble is the perfect way to unwind! ;o)

1:41 am

Ah, Babble must be singing its Siren song....

1:41 am

Finally found that Y-word (Y4/10). Stupid scrabble word.

1:47 am

I remembered it from the last time we had it. It is an odd one though

1:49 am

The D's are downed! I finally got all the 7's

1:49 am

I just looked up the meaning and now I believe there is a rock 'n' roll song with that word in it... otherwise I haven't seen it anywhere. Def: Certainly; assuredly.

1:50 am

Tomorrow when this puzzle's over, Sprite, I'd love to know what song you mean - I can't imagine anyone knowing that word just for the heck of it!

1:52 am

Sprite - Is it Led Zeppelin?

1:52 am

I have this nagging line that goes on in my head, just not enough to waken the memory of what exact song, but I know it will come up if I don't think about it. And then I'll probably find it is not exactly that word, but something that sounds like it, LOL.

1:53 am

I'm disappointed that owies isn't allowed. My daughter has had many of those. ;o)

1:53 am

..someone with a speech impediment singing about purple flowers! I'm off to bed (finally). Thanks for the support and virtual earplugs and clues. See you in the morning.

1:54 am

G'night Krys.... enjoy the peace! ;o)

1:55 am

Night, Krys10, pleasant and silent dreams!

1:56 am

Night Krys. Peace be with you and with the neighborhood.

1:57 am

125 words / 4.62 / 1600 points even. Funny grid, but worth playing. Alright, I admit, they all are :)

1:58 am

I'm almost there... just 13 to go

1:58 am

does anyone have the letter counts?

1:58 am

how do some people know how many words there are? how do you know the breakdown?

1:59 am

And I'm on your heels with 60 to go... You are both amazing. I'm still fixated on the y word.

1:59 am

If you become a Babble Pro - you get a grid that tells you how many words, the breakdown between letter count, and a grid that tells you how many words derive from any letter in the grid.

2:00 am

thank you!!

2:01 am

Plus you get to place an icon, and the flag and gender indicator.

2:01 am

too shy for all that!

2:03 am

The grid is well worth the $9.95 US for a lifetime membership.

2:06 am

I'm attempting to do a breakdown. Just give me a few

2:07 am

not sure yet

2:09 am

4-letter words: 70 5-letter words: 38 6-letter words: 11 7-letter words: 6 125 words c - 1 d - 33 e - 10 f - 2 i - 8 j - 4 m - 14 n - 5 o - 3 r - 4 s - 16 t - 11 u - 1 w - 12 y - 1

2:11 am

I see. I notice Brendyjack has all the answers/words. He seems to be up there knowing the most unbelievable words. A few other like you too.

2:13 am

Oh, it's not that I know them. I do a lot of monkey typing and when I'm really stuck a2zwordfinder helps too. Plus, the more you play the more you remember the odd words.

2:15 am

its the clues that you all give that help the beginners like me get right into the obsessiveness of it all!

2:16 am

I so enjoy some of the ways the clues are given. Some with total disregard to the meanings... it's so funny sometimes. But, they do work.

2:17 am

its a fun game

2:17 am

It seems that players bring various skills to the game; Brandyjack likes to research the words and is great at giving clues. Sprite and Hugs are simply blazing stars, and so on. Different strengths. Others, like me, are, one hopes, improving, learning new tricks, etc.

2:18 am

I think what brings me back the most is the Babble community. They are all so friendly and eager to help.

2:21 am

That's so true, Hugs. I'm so taken with how each person's personality comes through. It is like a little community.

2:22 am

I enjoy the chitchat so much. I really wish we had a way to chat off the Babble board also.

2:26 am

you could always set up a babble chat room on yahoo or irc or something :)

2:26 am

I do too. I've not gone to the babblers anonymous site, but I hear that it's hopping.

2:27 am

I registered at Babblers Anonymous, but I think it is a forum for posting only.

2:29 am

babbler's anonymous? whats that? for addicts? I must say you are all really a nice lot of people..and so polite! I live in australia and it fels like everyone sleeps when I get going with a new game.

2:30 am

It's almost 2:30 a.m. here. I'm a nightowl ;o)

2:31 am

Oh, I see. I'm not very familiar with the chat scene. I should educate myself. Yahoo seems like a promising venue, as Atalante just pointed out. Hmmm...

2:33 am

i only discovered it a week or so ago. Since i love scrabble I got right into it and it has dominated my time ever since, except when i am workng or socialising or being responsible. There are certain people who you take a liking too either because they are really smart, really kind, really funny or just likable..they become familiar.

2:34 am

Was away for a while, just read up the log. I agree totally, this is a very nice community. More into getting everyone to the finish than into competing, that's what I like so much. And the fun. People here can be so witty and have such great remarks. :)

2:35 am

I used to have IRC set up on my old computer, but I don't have it on this one, and I can't remember how to do it. I've never used Yahoo chat... but it seems like a feasible way to go too.

2:36 am

morning all

2:36 am

Morning Ferrari

2:36 am

Good morning Ferrari.

2:37 am

You need an IRC client, like mIrc or trillion. And then all you have to do is type in at start - run the command. irc://domein.extensi e/chatgroupname.

2:37 am

Good day all.Just been reading the log.Don`t forget we are assorted ages creeds and colours.(I assume) and if you want to play and not chat thats fine.

2:38 am

this is my first chat and it was nice..i'll leave it now to you guys.

2:38 am

I played for about two weeks before I started to post. I was too shy at first.

2:38 am

And now you guys can't get rid of me! ;o)

2:38 am

Hi Ferrari. Are you fully rested after your looooooooooong weekend babbling?

2:38 am

Morning mum....school run coming up!!

2:38 am

Sure macadam. But those who do that, we never meet and know nothing about, except when they play really well. I am sure the number of players far exceeds the chat-community here :)

2:38 am

Hi all! Sprite any clue on the y word?

2:38 am

Good morning macadam. Excellent point.

2:40 am

helenary - Please stay. There's always room for one more

2:40 am

See you later lottie.

2:40 am

Flerie: it's Y4/10, not so many ways to get that point total with 4 letters. It means certainly, assuredly. And it is a crazy scrabble word. You'd wish you knew the word ;)

2:40 am

I've been reading the log and to me it seems incredible how far apart both in miles and time zones but talking to each other, the chat is part of the whole babble experience, my family think I'm crackers- obsessively so

2:41 am

Yeah, ok. Prob call at work 1st so it may be about 10.45ish :)

2:41 am

And proud to be, ferrari :)

2:41 am

definitely

2:41 am

I agree Sprite , but that`s another good point. It`s all about choice.(except if we can`t play----that`s no choice at all!!!)

2:42 am

My kind of crackers Ferrari.

2:43 am

There is a strange insanity to the lovabilty of the babble experience. Isn't it great? I almost feel like I've joined a cult -- without giving up all my worldly possessions!

2:43 am

thank you..i'll just float in and out because I am afraid I will let it take over too much..you are a terrific lot!!

2:44 am

Mab - I totally agree with you but - we have given up our spare time!

2:44 am

there must be many who just lurk, or turn the log off, can you believe anyone would do such a shocking thing!

2:44 am

Thanks Sprite...I'm still working on it... :)

2:45 am

Well, we may be from all over the world and differ in almost every possible way, but we all share a few things: a love for words, for puzzling, at least some intelligence and some tenacity in our nature. I feel perfectly at home here, though I don't chat much elsewhere.

2:45 am

can you see me waving mac?

2:45 am

A lovely picture ,floating in and out,A far nicer description than popping.See you around helenary.

2:46 am

I've never been in a chat room forum before. The fist several days I was playing I wouldn't even venture to enter the conversation - to shy and feeling out of the group. Then it just gets to you and you want to jump right in.

2:46 am

thank you once again!!

2:47 am

Did you see me waving back or did the low cloud get in the way?

2:47 am

Flerie, try this: if I'd say to you: you'd wish you knew the word, you would answer: yeah, ....... Then try to put that answer in letters you have available for the Y-word.

2:48 am

Dianne - That's how I felt at first too. But the friendliness just exudes off the screen and you want to become a part of it.

2:48 am

Could you guys stop waving so frantically? You are messing up my papers with all the wind you're causing!

2:48 am

dianne I find the chat takes over sometimes, I haven't typed a word in for about 10 minutes

2:49 am

Sorry Sprite I`ll try to control myself.Got to go to work soon anyway, but I`ll be back.

2:49 am

I5t was sort of like this a few days ago - the chat was more fun than the puzzle (well almost). Hows everybody doing?

2:50 am

more like the hill mac, I can't see Longwood from here, i saw you in my mind though lol

2:50 am

I need one letter of each MOW!

2:50 am

Not a preety sight Ferrari.Time to go to school.TTFN

2:51 am

If you need a hint, let me know, Hugs!

2:51 am

Nearly 4 a.m. here, I should really be sleeping before the sun comes up. It seems the decent thing to do.

2:51 am

see you later mac

2:53 am

mab youre not alone on Saturday night/Sunday am I was up til 6.45am

2:53 am

Ai mab, that's bad! Very recognisable though :)

2:53 am

Sprite - I have w4 x 7 and w5 x 3. Can you tell me what I'm missing?

2:54 am

I think you need W6/33.

2:55 am

Oh, I have all my 6's and 7's

2:56 am

I need an m5 and a w5

2:58 am

One left.. the w5

2:59 am

we 4 8 we 5 18 we 4 7 wi 6 33 wi 5 26 wi 4 8 wi 5 18 wi 4 7 wi 5 18 wo 4 7 wo 4 7 wo 4 7

2:59 am

Oh thank you Sprite - You're a real sweetie! :o)

3:01 am

oh geez... I thought I had already put that one in. I do that soooooooo often! Thanks again Sprite

3:03 am

And with that, I really need to get to bed. Thanks everyone for the wonderful conversation and the help. See you later on.

3:04 am

I am starting to suspect babble of erasing words. That last grid with 'geez' in it... it was the first word I entered, and halfway I tried to finish the Gs, couldn't, checked my list, and there was no 'geez' to be seen. Very odd.

3:04 am

sleep tight Hugs

3:05 am

Sweet dreams, Hugs.

3:11 am

Sprite - I've wondered the same thing but then I figure that I just thought the word or wrote it but didn't acutally type it in.

3:13 am

sprite, sometimes I put words in and I'm not watching the screen, then I realise I mistyped it or something so it's not there and when it's a big grid or an s or something you don't notice it's missing til you've forgotten, do you know what I mean

3:14 am

Working the W words and I need the wi5/26 - any little hint?

3:16 am

Must be something like that, but I am certain I saw the word 'geez' on my list, since it was the very first word. But somewhere on that day I lost all my words too, except the last one I entered, and they came back after a forced refresh. Maybe something went wrong there. Dianne: W6 spelled differently.

3:21 am

Sprite - got it - another case of going in the wrong direction!

3:27 am

I'm off for now, seems I have to do things beside babble today. Good luck hunting to all of you and I'll try to check back later to see if anyone needs hints.

3:29 am

Ciao Sprite.

3:36 am

What's wrong with Ken Dodd's diddy men? Babble won't allow!

3:42 am

You can spell it differently for a di5/14 and plural for di6/24 :)

3:44 am

That's really kind, lottijw. I hadn't thought that far yet. Benilyn on the brain! (Coff)

3:47 am

((((x)))) Have a hug! My recent cold didn`t get the better of me, so theres bound to be a next time :/

3:50 am

Aaaah! I caught this bug in Cornwall, leaping about in the Atlantic for half an hour when I already had a sore throat. Was supposed to be folk singing that night and all I could do was croak! :)))

3:52 am

Must head for Tube now.. Flat-hunting in London. Bye, babblers! I'll be back later.

3:53 am

Oh no!!! I sooooo want to go to Cornwall, i don`t care about leaving the UK.....just Cornwall :)

3:53 am

Ok see ya Hydra :)

3:55 am

hi lotti, Cornwall's lovely

3:56 am

Anyone have all the i words? I am struggling to find the last two. Here's what I have: i4/7 5/12 6/21 4/7 5/16 6/21 Anyone know what 2 I need?

3:57 am

Morning Ferrari, it`s my dream to go there, but i want at least a fortnight!!! It would cost less to go abroad, but i don`t care :)

3:57 am

you could always camp

3:58 am

There's an id 4/5 that you're missing. Think Julius Caesar.

3:58 am

Can anyone give the stats for E's? I only have 2 so far :(

3:59 am

Haz - it's always the little ones, smack dab in my face that I miss. Thanks.

4:00 am

Flerie - if I had all the Es I'de be happy to give you a list - but alas I am in your league on these.

4:00 am

I wouldn`t mind caravan, but camping with my kids doesn`t bear thinking of !!!! They`re the biggest wussies ever and they`d complain about being cold all the time:( *shudder at thought*

4:02 am

Dianne, I have 1 i5/18. It's similar to e5/18.

4:02 am

Good morning :)

4:03 am

Hi sis, how are you? :)

4:03 am

yes lottijw, the worst bits about camping are if you need to w3/6 or your lilo goes down when you're asleep

4:04 am

Flerie - Thanks - I didn't even know that was a word.

4:04 am

hi lola

4:04 am

Good and you? Are you going to be around for a while?

4:04 am

Hey ferrari :)

4:04 am

Ferrari - what's a lilo?

4:04 am

Ferrari, i`ll get there one day!!! :)

4:05 am

Dianne - actually, i do not know that's a word as well. I just tried it. :)

4:05 am

No Lola, off food shopping with Macadam when shes finished work !

4:07 am

Are you avoiding me sis?!!! LOL! Buy me some chocolate?

4:07 am

Dianne a lilo is a blow up bed

4:07 am

any clues on i5/12 and i5/16?

4:07 am

Ferrari - learn something new every day - but the big questions is "will babble accept it"?

4:09 am

I don't think lilo has come up since I started playing, will wait with bated breath

4:09 am

I`ll buy you lots of chocolate!!!! Are you running out of supplies because of staying up late???? My hubby would have chucked a megga freddy if i stayed on late!!

4:09 am

The i 5/16 is the plural of i 4/7 and the other i5 you're looking for describes some types of music.

4:10 am

Haz - thanks - I've finished the i words and am hunting the Es.

4:10 am

I think I have tried lilo before...didn't like it. I think it might be a brand name like hoover :)

4:10 am

there are ways of making up with hubby!

4:10 am

got it...thanks Haz!

4:11 am

lotti- it was only sat/sun that I stayed up so late. Always in bed at a reasonabe time on a "school" night :)

4:12 am

hoover , biro, lilo ,laser all have little letters now

4:12 am

Anyone got a hint for the E7/44? Can't find it no way.

4:12 am

He`s too sulky Ferrari !! He`d know thats what i was up to !!!!!LOL

4:12 am

Good - I'm dragging myself away from the computer since there are mundane things to do like laundry, cleaning etc. I'll be back later. Happy babbling.

4:13 am

It doesn`t help the fact that my pc is in the bedroom!!!

4:13 am

Dianne Gandalf is this after en*

4:13 am

Mmm, most men don't care what the reason behind it is as long as they are getting some.....

4:14 am

'Bye haz, see you later :)

4:14 am

you can wait til he goes to sleep, then sneak back

4:14 am

Oooooo none of that!!! Been married too long hahaha

4:18 am

Ferrari are you tring to corrupt me ???? :/ LOL

4:18 am

could have sworn meds was accepted the other day

4:18 am

It was!

4:20 am

Does anyone have a clue for the i5/18 ? Please don`t compare it to the e5, cos i haven`t got that yet :(

4:20 am

wouldn't dream of it lotti, anyway surely you're incorruptible or is it just too late! LOL

4:22 am

lotti, the en means to provide with property, income, or a source of income :) (easier to explain than the in!)

4:22 am

lotti has meds worked for you today?

4:23 am

ferrari- the meds never work for lotti.....

4:24 am

Thanks Lola, got them both now!! ;) No Ferrari, it won`t take it today. It plays just like my brother.......makes its own rules up as it goes along!!!

4:25 am

Lola, i keep taking them though !! LOL ;)

4:26 am

yeah, I've taken 3 lots, didn't work for me either

4:26 am

LOL! I think babble is a woman...she keeps changing the rules :)

4:26 am

I'e got a brother like that!

4:28 am

My best friend is a psychiatric nurse.... I`m sure she trained for my benefit hahaha !!!

4:28 am

Ferrari - not being much into The Lord of The Rings (or the musician) I'm not having much luck with the E7/44.

4:29 am

dianne use your wi4/7

4:30 am

um, at the end

4:30 am

dianne- opposite of begin and opposite of stupid :)

4:31 am

after this dianne you will be wi4/7 at the end

4:31 am

Ferrari and Lola - if my end was wi-- then I would have gotten it without all the hand holding. Thanks for the patience and help.

4:31 am

Right you lot, must go.....chocolate to buy!!!!! See you all later :o)

4:32 am

see you lotti, lol

4:32 am

'Bye lotti, have fun and say hi to mom for me :)

4:40 am

so long farewell, see you later :)

4:47 am

4:51 am

4:55 am

ferrari - much earlier in the chat a m7/48 was mentioned. For the life of me I can't find it.

4:55 am

I can't either

4:56 am

Dianne & ferrari, think of the exams you take halfway through a course in school for your m7.

4:56 am

hi all 10 mins to spare before my shower. The mi7 is what you are 1/2 way thro a semester at school

4:56 am

Ferrari and Une - thanks so much - I've now polished off those E words!

aaaargh, thanks snowyowl, blinned again

4:58 am

4:58 am

5:09 am

The y IS a yw 4/10.

5:43 am

Can someone please help me find the second F? I have fo4/7 but no amount of staring at the grid or monkey typing is helping with the other one... :/

5:43 am

m7/48 part way through a section of the school year.. or a politician partway through their umm bit of time in office.. :)

5:44 am

11 here ferrari

5:45 am

Morning all. The other 'f' clue. The Silence of The Lambs. Her 1st name is in the grid but not allowed. Her surname is allowed.

5:46 am

Do-oh! thank you jacula :)

5:47 am

5:50 am

Morning Ferrari. Had a nice early night last night after an afternoon spent holding the other half's nuts so he couldn't tighten 'em. (He was fitting a towbar. LOL. What WERE you thinking??:-)))

5:51 am

squeeze and tighten , ouch

5:52 am

Is that a ballet clue, Ferrari? I can't see The Nutcracker Suite in the grid. LOL.

5:54 am

ok.. giving up on 100... never have enough time on working days.. oh well... soon be th weekend :) byeeee

5:55 am

Incidentally, Ferrari, I'll be changing my icon soon so if you'd like to have it for your own right-click your mouse on it and select 'copy image location' and then you'll be able to put it on your Babbble profile.

5:55 am

'Bye bodkinz :)

5:55 am

'Bye Bodkinz. Have a good day.

5:56 am

5:58 am

I do'nt know how to put an icon on- I'm computer illiterate as well as a one finger typist

6:01 am

Ferrari - are you on the ez board yet (BabblersAnon)? I'll instruct you through there or leave instructions for you to follow.

6:01 am

jacula, not yet

6:02 am

ferrari - the method I use for choosing icons is to go on to Google images, and type in the words "buddy icons", along with the type of icon I'm looking for, then I save the icon onto the hard drive, and go from there...

6:03 am

can you use your own picture?

6:07 am

Ferrari - Yes, you can use your own picture if it's stored on your computer.

6:08 am

thought I could, will do it soon

6:13 am

sorry still lurking... a good site for icons for this page is... http://datorn.e.kth.se/w m-icons/index-48x48.html they are the right size already.. and they have lots... ok gone .. honest :)

Hi ToeSock, Your icon is very arty!

10:56 am

having a few probs getting an icon - keep getting "not a format that Babble understands" - a bit like the word you just KNOW is a word but will not get accepted!!! Any tips?

10:56 am

TSM - You might have to crop your pic to a square before uploading.

10:58 am

Dachef, Babble prefer jpeg. That's how I did it.

11:00 am

I sound like Hulk. Babble prefers...

11:06 am

Afternoon all, Dachef: if you see any picture you like, right click it and go to 'properties' you'll see a web address for that picture. highlight the whole address, right click on it, and click on copy. then in the edit profile page, right click in the web address window and click paste. then click on upload and you should have your icon. babble will resize it if its a jpeg.

11:08 am

11:30 am

Where`s the hotel? * Is that too in your face nosey* ????

11:31 am

Not at all. In Reading. Well, just outside actually in a place called Winnersh.

11:32 am

yeh - ths "work" thingy really gets in the way of the Babbling doesnt it? I got called into work last night to deal with a "crisis" (!), which meant I only half-completed the grid. I was in a really bad mood all night. O God, I really need to get some help.....

11:32 am

ToeSockMonkey -- Jacula posted the full 2nd letter list at 9:30am

11:33 am

ok guys, gotta go. hopefully read you all later. ;o)

11:33 am

I'm off now -- t'ra all and see you tomorrow!

11:33 am

Bye Bobsta, thanks for the help with the icons. (wasted too much time with this new-found skill)

11:35 am

Oh right my husband used to work for a generator company in Reading" FDL" Frank Driver Ltd. He was the northern field service engineer.

11:35 am

As posted by Hugabugs earlier... hope these help. 4-letter words: 70 5-letter words: 38 6-letter words: 11 7-letter words: 6 125 words c - 1 d - 33 e - 10 f - 2 i - 8 j - 4 m - 14 n - 5 o - 3 r - 4 s - 16 t - 11 u - 1 w - 12 y - 1

11:35 am

See ya Bobsta have a good one (or 2) ;o)

11:36 am

See ya Sproing :)

11:40 am

has anyone else noticed that as soon as a letter list is posted, all of a sudden, the log goes very quiet! Oo, we are a fickle lot....

Got the second letter list. Thanks for telling me to scroll back!

11:44 am

Seems quieter than usual anyway today!!

11:45 am

Hey Lotti :) I reckon it's the absence of Anj that makes it so quiet

11:45 am

somebody should go and wake him up.

11:46 am

Or wave some chocolate under his nose

11:46 am

actually, no, let him sleep, lets all finish before he gets here, then we can give him some clues for a change!!!!

11:46 am

Yeah probably, he`s not here teasing you!!! Where is he anyway?

11:48 am

As Dachef says, probably asleep!

Any hints on the YW 4/10 word?

11:50 am

tsm - it "IS" really obscure!!!!!

11:50 am

TSM sounds like Huey ..... and the news!!!!

11:51 am

it certainly is

11:51 am

Apparently it means 'certainly'. but whatever, I only got it by monkey typing

11:53 am

hi.i'm pretty new to the game. how do yo interpret something like OD 4/6. what does that mean?

11:53 am

It`s because you`re clever Miyavi.......and it helps when you`ve played for a while because the words become familiar :)

11:53 am

Hi lottijw. Am back and babbling again. Which part of Cornwall do you like. My friends are in St Agnes, on the North coast.

11:54 am

Clever?! moi?! *checks Lotti for signs of abnormality*

11:55 am

anyone having trouble getting the word seem to list

11:55 am

Hydra any part will do!!!! How you feeling? My mum (macadam) has developed a nasty cold and sore throat throughout today :(

Woot! Got it! Thank you all for the hints on yw word! Eak!

11:57 am

Oh dear, that's how mine started. If I can catch it early, I take 1000mg Redoxin and a Lysine tablet, as recommended by a doctor friend. You can buy Lysine in health food stores. It's brilliant. Staves off cold sores, too.

11:58 am

I'm fine now, by the way. Ta for asking!

12:00 pm

Oh no...hope she gets well soon, Lotti :(

12:00 pm

Nik - welcome to babble. OD 4/6 means that the word starts with od, it has four letters and the values on the tiles will give you 6 points.

12:01 pm

Thanks Haz!

12:01 pm

Nik - word of warning. this stuff is addictive. I started about a month ago, and am already in therapy. Begin at your peril....

12:02 pm

anyone have the w's?

12:02 pm

Hey, Dachef, I can see your sweet face now!

12:06 pm

AAAAAATTCHOOOOO !! *splutter* hi guys.....

12:07 pm

12:08 pm

Well, Babbler, I was going to ask you if you were feeling any better, but I guess you've answered that question

12:09 pm

Hi Babbler and bless you!

12:09 pm

Wish macadam a speedy recovery from me. Getting in bath now!

12:09 pm

been sneezing my head off all day! Just tried to put my dinner on, and had to keep stopping to blow my nose. Or should that be 'dose'!? How are you, Miy? Good day at school?

12:10 pm

danke, Deutsch!

12:10 pm

Deutsch - I thought you would have been wishing mcadam 'Gesundheit'!

12:12 pm

Ja, Haz, slipped up there!

haha, how would i know youd be on here cathy. :P Im specialer than you, my names in the grid (and it all joins up too)! Too bad it doesnt accept it as a word. *brain dies* cant find the Ju 5/ 26 (at least i think its 26), anyone got any clues to help me. I have the other J's but this one has majorly stumped me

12:12 pm

Dachef!!! You killed Kenny!! You, you.... AAAAAATTCCHOOOO !

12:13 pm

Jodie ...think plural!

12:14 pm

jodie - plural of the 4/12

12:14 pm

Jodie -- plural of your ju4

12:14 pm

plural of ju4/12

12:14 pm

ah, okay at school thanks Babbler...got a bit of a telling off in maths for not concentrating :/

Ahh, i cant believe i never bothered to try that. *bangs head on the desk* Tut tut bad cathy

12:15 pm

Ah, and it's my l'il invader! You may wanna take something for your brain dying all the time. And no clues for ye. I'll sit and watch you suffer. Mwah ha ha ha...

12:15 pm

awwww, you poor luv. What was the subject today? (not that I remember much!!)

12:15 pm

Babbler, yeah, but I never sneezed on him. <passes a babbler a vaguely soiled hanky>

12:16 pm

oh nooo!! I killed Kenny!!! thx for the tissue, Dachef, v much appreciated! *sniff*

12:16 pm

Ah, we've inexplicably moved from trig to some fraction-scented stuff. *shudders* Plus, I think my maths teacher is in love with my best friend, so that's vaguely distracting :)

12:17 pm

favouritism, Miy. Always irritated me. Unless I was teacher's pet, in which case I revelled in it!! LOL ! I enjoyed fractions....

12:18 pm

hi all, just popped in for a minute. I'm stuck on mi 6/30. any clues? I have all but the D's (and this M) if anyone needs help.

YAY im an invader today! I thought you didnt like me going on about Zim. I think i should really take something, ive had major bad case of dead brain today. *throttles Mr. Google* Why musnt he come up with anything about the british standard for toys? *goes to search for other more entertaining stuff*

12:18 pm

could someone give a clue for the EN7/44? Please?

12:18 pm

Ah, in a lot of classes I'm a little teacher's pet, so I can cope with it. In truth, she hates it more than I do. You can see the love shining in his eyes...pass the bucket...

12:19 pm

Uh...Joders, it isn't Mr Google's fault. Be nice. I'm sure he means well.

12:19 pm

atl- the last 4 are a wi 4 7, intelligence gained with age. the first 3 are an e 4 5, minus the s

12:20 pm

en7/44 great clue given earlier today - 1st word opposite of start and 2nd word opposite of stupid.

On end; upright. , thats what dictionary.com came up with. The clue earlier on helped me get it, shame i cant remember it XD I is SO my googles fault

12:21 pm

i used to be in love with my maths teacher. Mind you, when I was thirteen, I was also in love with my english teacher, the dinner lady and the tree in the field behind our house.

12:21 pm

he's just taking pity on the thick, Miy, dont' you worry about it!! lol !

12:22 pm

Pity on the thick!? Ah, non, my friend is top in maths! (how do I stand her?!) She hates it though. A strange fish she is.

Dachef, errmmm....why a tree? And why did i say my instead or Mr? Spastic hand syndrome seems to be attacking me like always.

12:23 pm

I know how you feel, Dachef. Those trees are just so darn sexy

12:23 pm

Later days, all. I have a sink full of dishes and lunch to get ready. Please have this solved for me when I return.

12:23 pm

She's top of the class? She hates it? He loves her? There are some things that are just beyond me..... !!

12:24 pm

thx Jax and FMitch!

12:24 pm

Dachef, was it a beeeaauuuuuuutiful tree? What kind of tree was it? Don't tell me, cherry blossom? Or conker tree?

12:25 pm

I know...confusing indeedy. Right now I'm venting my anger by translating one of my favourite songs...it has the random line "Save me Popeye!" Then again, my translational skills aren't fab. But I'm pretty sure tasukete is save me...

12:25 pm

when you're 13, and those hormones pump, o god, i never want to go through all that again. Anyway, nothing was ever proved, and the police said they would not be pursuing the matter....

12:26 pm

I luuuuurve all trees with a passion that dares not speak it's name. *cheesy grin* In fact, me and the beech in my back garden are married, but the union's only legal in the state of Oklahoma

Cathy. When DID you marry this bench? You never mentioned it to me, unless it was one of those times where i had gone into my alternate universe filled with Irkens. Infact i think im there now. HI ZIM! Now i best be quiter before i lose my sanity....even more. maybe i should actually try and find words now, other than my name. And i should soon stop looking for more suff to put in my planner.

12:31 pm

Miy, Dach, .......... aaaaaattchhoooooooooo!! *cough * *splutter* ok, trees. I love trees too, but I think you both have issues....

12:31 pm

got the F meaning enemies...any hints on the other?

12:31 pm

But on that note, I have to go. Be back...sometime. I have to go hug various trees, they feel unloved. *sobs* poor dears...aaaanyway. Y'all be good. Pop is dead!

12:31 pm

eva- often a last name, a drink with bananas or to help something grow

12:32 pm

Pop is dead, Miy, true. Have fun hugging your trees. Hug a tree for me!

12:32 pm

thanks jax, all great clues!

12:32 pm

yup, pop is dead. Long live folk music!!!!

12:32 pm

fo6/27 almost australian larger

12:33 pm

and country & western!!!!

12:33 pm

12:34 pm

id help ya if i could, but i dont have it either...hehe

12:34 pm

ah - thanks anyways

12:35 pm

mi6/30 made up of 2 words 2nd word past tense of do

12:36 pm

thanks fmitch!

12:37 pm

yeah mitch - thanks. I think that is my last one. 125 right?

12:37 pm

yup 125 words today

12:38 pm

Anyone need anything before I leave?

12:38 pm

well done Jax!!!!!!

12:39 pm

Thanks babbler. Hey did anyone play on Saturday when the game was messed up? Did it ever come back up?

12:39 pm

45 left to go here... the 7s arent coming to me today...heh

12:40 pm

I didn't play and my ranking jumped by like 15 slots, I wondered if people got started, got cut off and that ruined their rankings.

12:40 pm

Jax, it came up alright. And those of us here stayed up verrrrrryy late and had a party!! It was really funny! :D

12:41 pm

It was a good day for me NOT to play, my life was busy that day, so I was relieved it wasn't up. If it was I would have been compelled to play and the rest of my life would have fallen by the wayside.

12:45 pm

Life outside Babbleverse is over-rated. You get more or less the same results with minimal effort. (Or at least that's true for my life!!)

12:46 pm

..... though I can't find a way round doing the shopping AND play Babble..............??!?!

12:46 pm

..... and laundry doesn't wash itself. And there's noone else to cook my dinner...........

12:48 pm

Babbler - I had my son's soccer game and then a football game to watch. UM football always takes 1st place in my heart (yes even over babble) and we were playing a rival so it was an important game.

12:49 pm

so no real reason why my rank jumped I guess, just luck i suppose. I have noticed that when I don't play I seem to move up faster. guess that says something about my playing. lol

12:49 pm

Ahaaa, I see your dilemma. Yes, it was a good thing you didn't have Babble nagging you! Did anyone see the eclipse this morning? I slept through it....

12:50 pm

nope, not me

12:55 pm

aparently it was best viewed in Portugal and Spain but not here in UK.

12:56 pm

I am stuck on the so 5/16. Hints, please.

12:57 pm

just saw a bit of it on our local London news. People saw about 45 mins of it at Greenwich apparently.

12:57 pm

Munner, you know some days you just want to say sod it? Well just change a letter!!!

12:58 pm

good clue, Dachef!

1:02 pm

Thanks, dachef, good clue though I have no idea what the word means!

1:04 pm

Babbler - since you started sneezing earlier my nose has been running and Im coughing like a forty-a-day man. is it possible to transmit a cold through your computer. It can only be your fault. ;)

1:05 pm

Any clues for the y word? I understand that the second letter is a w? how bizarre!

1:06 pm

Dachef, you hypochondriac!! LOL!! That would be a psychosomatic cold! Or a sympathy cold. Or power of suggestive thought cold Or don't want to be left outof the gang cold....

1:06 pm

Good evening fellow babblers :) How is everyone today?

1:07 pm

Hi Lolaaaa aaaaa aaaaaa TCHOOOOOOOOOOOOO !! *sniff*

1:07 pm

Hola lola!!

1:07 pm

eva - 3rd letter is an i

1:08 pm

I there really a de5/16??? I have searched for ages and I just cannot find it. It is my LAST word too!!!

1:09 pm

swimbo - think of what you have to do to the car in winter when it is very frosty

1:09 pm

swmbo - It's what they do to airplane wings before takeoff in the winter.

1:09 pm

de 5/16 - think of the numbered cubes (di 4/7) and add a vowel....

1:10 pm

babbler- oh dear *wiping arm* do you have a cold? Torgone- hello! Where's lotti? dachef- love the icon!

1:11 pm

*sniff* I think so, Lola. *feeling sorry for self*..... : (

1:11 pm

soz about your arm, by the way...... *big puppy eyes*

1:11 pm

Just jumped back in a minute ago. Have not seen her.

1:12 pm

chars babe, just got tuned in to this "I've got the best icon in the world" competition. I will be trying very hard to win in future....

1:12 pm

Sorry to hear that babbler :( Have you been drinking lots of nice hot tea?

1:13 pm

yes, green tea as well!

1:14 pm

Well, FMitch like I haven't done it thousands of times LOL!!! THANK you so much for putting me out of my misery!

1:14 pm

Gah babbler, no wonder you are feeling rotten! Here, try some champers..... ;)

1:14 pm

you are welcome!!!!!

1:15 pm

I was going mental looking for that de5!! thanks guys!

1:15 pm

Lola - Wola, lovely girl!!!! thank youuuuu!!

1:16 pm

Hi all :) Feeling any better, Babbler?

1:16 pm

See? You're sounding better already ;)

1:16 pm

Hi miyavi :)

1:17 pm

tee heee!!!!! yes thanks Miy, Lola gave me some "medicine"........ lol !

1:17 pm

Hey Lola :) Good day?

1:17 pm

riiiight...medicine...^_^

1:18 pm

hi swmbo - she is doing good, think it was a mixture of tiredness/over excitedness that made her sick.

1:18 pm

yarsh. it's for grown ups....!

1:18 pm

Mmmm, talking of medicine - miyavi, where are my mini eggs Anj told you to give me yesterday?!

1:20 pm

*looking guilty* I...er...don't know...

1:20 pm

*sighs* Everything good is for adults!

1:20 pm

YAY! Im done - now I have to find something else to do all night. Now where did I put that tree.....

1:21 pm

I remember that instruction to Miy. Anj said coffee and mini eggs and to look after Lola while he was away !

1:21 pm

Dachef...you know, it's not easy to misplace a tree, but I'm amazed that somehow you found a way...

1:21 pm

LOL!

1:21 pm

Bravo Dachef !!!!!!!!!

1:21 pm

Good for you, Dachef!

1:22 pm

Yay dachef!!

1:23 pm

*gives Dachef a jealous glare*

1:24 pm

Miyavi!!! I'm surprised at you! tut tut!

1:25 pm

Be happy for Dachef, don't send him bad vibes!!

1:25 pm

Er...*fakes a smile* Well done Dachef...

1:25 pm

better.

1:26 pm

YAY DACHEF!!! *does victory dance*

1:26 pm

alright alright, settle down! LOL !!

1:27 pm

Argh...my victory dance can get quite manic, I think I may have broken a hip!

1:28 pm

My goodness! I just walked in and the applause is deafening. Did Dachef win the Pulizter Prize? The Nobel? The Prix de Paris? The Booker? etc, etc,?

1:29 pm

awww, you little luv! You see, you get carried away, get all exuberant, and something happens. I don't know....! Best get you to a doc first thing, if you can last that long?

1:29 pm

No Mab, he completed the game, but Miyavi got jealous, so I got on her case, and now she's broken her hip and I feel bad.

1:29 pm

Babblers, I must leave you to your addiction for a while but will try to pop in later to see how you're all doing :) Anj says hi, btw. He's checking out a band tonight.

1:30 pm

laters, Lola!! say hi to Anj from us!

*pats cathy like a maniac on the back* There there, your hip is not broken, mearly twisted maniacally out of shape. I know that didnt help very much. Im evil like that because you where evil to me when my brain died. *thinks* now where did i leave my brain?

1:30 pm

Don't worry, I'm in a constant state of...er...carried-awayness. Managed to trap a nerve in cross country this morning, by doing an improvised "let's go down to disco" extravaganza when I was done :/

1:31 pm

Later little lola!

1:31 pm

Jodie, could your brain be under Dachef's tree? He can't find that either....

1:31 pm

Jodes...did you see my dancey dancey time this morning? I don't know why they called it cross country, we didn't cross any countries. Just ran around a field for an hour

1:32 pm

I'm sure it's not you fault Babbler. Besides, Miyavi is too young to break a hip. A cup of strong, sweet tea will perk her right up. Miyavi? Miyavi? Speak to me girl! Oh dear.

1:32 pm

Jodie, check behind the sofa. That's where I found my Dir en Grey CD. Weird.

So you danced madly while i was dying out on the field. Typical. No i didnt see your dance, I was too busy trying not to die. Maybe it is under dachefs tree. *tries to find tree*

1:33 pm

Oh there, she's fine. Dancing is very therapeutic.

1:33 pm

I'm off to have my dinner and watch Coronation Street and Eastenders. Back later..... : D

1:34 pm

Don't worry, Mab, I have been bought up enduring hockey at school. Shin wacking, girls yelling, only a cheery whistle to protect from frostbite... See ya Babbler :)

1:34 pm

later Babbler!

I cant check behind the sofa because nothing can get behind there. And what WAS your dir en grey cd doing behind there? Maybe i left it in my planner, or the printer o_0 *goes back in search of the Si's*

1:34 pm

Hi Mab, I need only 42 words *sigh*

1:36 pm

I really don't know Jodes...I never take my Dir en Grey CDs in the lounge, DeG frighten my family. They stay safe in my room. Only now and then I guess they fancy going on walkies

1:37 pm

hey evry1 add me on msn if u wna chat liam900@hotmail.co.uk 15/m/uk

Must of gone walkies. I know CDs like a bit of a walk around the house. Well actually i dont really know but i presume they like to have an explore. Bit like mountain climbing for them.

1:38 pm

Well...I walk into the room and everyone leaves. I could get a complex. Even at my age. AND break a hip.

1:38 pm

Dude, I wouldn't trust people like me with your msn address. Straaaange things happen to people who chat with me...*gives manic grin*

1:38 pm

I'm still here, mab. Just monkey-typing furiously.

1:39 pm

There, there, Mab...I know the feeling. Someone fetch medicinal chocolate!

Even stranger things happen if you talk with me. If you value your sanity, youd stay clear from me. Im known to have random rantings about Zim. I kept asking hayley for a Voot Cruiser and a Spittle Runner today. MMmmm....Medicinial chocolate. *steals it all*

1:41 pm

Indeediness, Jodes. Maybe they wake up in the middle of the night with dreams of exploring the unknown! Trekking bravely over the peaks of the stairs, through stifling heats in the airing cupboard! *sighs* Ah, the spirit of the young'uns!

1:42 pm

Hi Torgone. I guess it's still morning in San Diego. Monkey typing is all one can do with this puzzle, I fear. It's grisly. Have 40 nearly non-words to ferret out. Hi Deutsch!

1:42 pm

*Handing out chocs as if it was Easter* well, you need it on a Monday. Can help if you need the odd clue as finished todays grid for a change (lol)

1:44 pm

Nice one, FMitch *conrols urge to kill and eat FMitch out of sheer jealousy* Hey, every day is Easter! Apart from Christmas. And birthdays. And possibly November 22nd.

1:44 pm

anyone have a list of all the 6es?

1:45 pm

You're brilliant FMitch! Congratulations. I'm not nearly organized enough to even ask for a clue. Must go plumbing the depths of the log.

o_0 ok thats taking it a bit too far. Also im suprised you havnt asked me what a voot cruiser and spittle runner are :p Since when was everyday easter? Im so confused. Brain slowly melting, even though its still lost. Now let me try to think what november the 22nd could be, and where all these words are.

1:46 pm

*lobs extra large load of choc Miy's way*

1:46 pm

Ooh my giddygosh, forgot to say TWO things! *takes deep breath* Number one - Mabs, I lurrrve the icon very much. Number two - Today is a mourning day, folks. Put on the black veils :(

1:47 pm

mab you are too kind

1:47 pm

Oooh...thanks FMitch! *cheesy grin*

1:47 pm

Everyone knows those are spaceships, Jodie.

1:48 pm

What are we mourning, Miyavi?

Mourining day, why be the day of today mourining day? :O How do you know they are spaceships? Only people who know anything about Zim would know about the voot cruiser, but not the spittle runner.

1:50 pm

Hide, we're mourning Hide! Lead singer of a j-rock band called X-Japan who managed to start some sort of revolution. Was strangled to death whilst drunk :(

1:51 pm

You're so up to date, Torgone! You even understand Zimbabwean slang. Wow.

1:52 pm

Though I don't know why today is a mourning day, since he died a few years ago. But they're thinking of closing the memorial museum that they opened for him, so today seems as good a day as any.

Ahhhh..... you and your japanease people Cathy. Ill just sit here and nod and pretend i understand, like hayley does to me on so many occasions during my random rants. *feels like saying "uuuhhh... We have chilli beans"* I best not say what my absent brain is thinking o_0 zimbabaween slang? Never heard of it *gives evil glare in cathys direction*

1:52 pm

That's terrible. My condolences.

1:54 pm

Thanks Mabs :) He died too young...and Jodes, if you feel like saying something, go ahead and say it. There are days when I feel like saying "hahahPIEPIEPIE" and I do. So what's the problem?! ^_^

1:55 pm

Oh. Sorry Jodie, I thought that's what Zim meant. Well, off to plumb.

errm...but if i was to say what i want to say id get evil looks from you, because its always about zim. And you dont like me going on about zim since its always random crazy.

1:55 pm

Nots the problem. All bho.

1:55 pm

Bye Mabs :)

1:56 pm

Jodie, my dear, you don't have to ask for evil looks! *glares* Theeere we go

Bye mabs.

1:56 pm

pssssttt.... does anyone have a list of the 6es?

1:56 pm

It's a cartoon. Invader Zim. Happy plumbing, mab!

1:57 pm

ed4/6, ed6/24 ei4/5, ei5/12 em4/6, em4/8

1:58 pm

At least you really listen to your son. Later.

Whats the glare? It was so random. :O I know its a cartoon, im too obsessed to not know. But it shocks me that someone else knows, except on my usual website where i know quite a few zim fans. I best be finding words, i have a dismal 35 at the mo XD

1:59 pm

*gasps* Pop is dead! Excuse me a moment folks, I must go boogie to this one ^_^

Yay, pop dieded :). You dance, and i shall quote zim someplace other than the chat log....if i can think of stuff to quote.

heh. Thanks :-)

2:05 pm

*sighs* Is it just me, or does everyone keep thinking they see nonexistent words in there?

2:05 pm

Miy -Nov 22nd significant date cos it's yr b'day?

2:06 pm

Nope. Just a random day I felt like protecting against christmassyness. *regal wave* Yo Hyari ^_^ msn had another mental breakdown

2:07 pm

Of course Nov 22nd is special; It's just before my birthday! Just kidding =P MSN breakdown again? You've left me with Tom talking about doughnut shaped spleens..

Its not just you. All my words are nonexistant in my mind. And your not the only one who can dance to music *does some random dance to gereen day* Wooo mega random glitchynessey thing. woo hello there. Im posting on the chat log! :D And im randomly hyper!

2:08 pm

Okay, I'll make another effort to start up again...but Msn Today tends to send my computer into nervy spasms.

Msn today used to send my computer into spasms, but then i stopped it coming up and then i downloaded the new msn and it was fine. Speaking of msn i should sign in.

2:12 pm

You should. There is an interesting conversation up: Do men look hot in skirts? I say...some do. The real Miyavi does. So there. Hah.

2:12 pm

20 minutes to freedom... was hoping to at least get the 6es done before i left, but i guess its not meant to be... :/

You mean your continuing our conversation from after assembly about guys in skirts? Except youve taken it a step further. Im sure he does cathy, im sure he does.

2:14 pm

Why won't Tom wear a skirt? *sobs*

2:15 pm

ED 4/6,6/24 EI 4/5,5/12 EM 4/6,4/8 EN 7/48,5/18,4/5,7/44

o_0 since when would tom want to wear a skirt? Im not sure if he would actually but i think he would like to stear clear of a man skirt. I think i had de-ja-vu.

2:15 pm

I think it's all in the knees... if a guy has nice knees, he look hot in a kilt... my husband does!

2:16 pm

If he won't wear a skirt, maybe he can show off nice knees with a kilt?

2:16 pm

All the best men have skirts. Miyavi, and Kyo has a leather one which he wears over trousers. Of course. And Die seems to have a dress. Heard enough? *evil grin*

2:17 pm

evanadine - You mean the 6-letter words, not the 6 e's, right? They are: di6/24x2, ed6/24, fo6/27, in6/21 x2, mi6/30, so6/27, to6/21, to6/27, wi6/33

2:17 pm

right bugzy

2:17 pm

oh, and thanks. :)

*tries to stop laughter* maybe hyper moods and talking about guys in skirts dont mix very well. If youll excuse me ill need a few minutes actually trying to find words, ive been to preoccupied with trying to stop the spastic typing.

2:18 pm

Jera, I just realized your icon is from Foster's! My neighbor has a man skirt, and I know what he wears underneath. ewww

2:19 pm

Woah, Deutsch...sounds a touch on the mentally scarring side.

2:20 pm

It is. He's an old hippy with thin, gray pony tale, with pants too tight and crazy western hat.

2:21 pm

*mental images of a hippy in a man-skirt* Please excuse me while I go wash my brain..*runs away*

2:21 pm

Wow...all my neighbours are plotting against each other. I think one day they're going to ambush Peter, since he has the nicest lawn

2:21 pm

Yup, I'm gonna be Coco for Halloween... fitting attitude for this games as well...

Now, i shall stop trying to find words (which has had no success) and bounce around the room to Minority. I think your neighbour is a bit on the crazy side Deutsch. Please excuse me as i get out my brain soap.

I dont know my neighbours. We all keep to ourselves, its boring. Although we have some trouble with next doors little makeshift car workshop and the oil containers being close to our gas pipe, and those weldy tool things.

2:24 pm

Jodie, use liberal amounts of soap. Jera co co co co co

2:24 pm

Does anyone have a clue for the mi7/48?

2:25 pm

You take it half way through the semester

6:02 pm

Well done Sandr -sorry its late been away for a minute of two!

6:07 pm

Need to trot out the prettier toys for some execs to ogle... Has to be self explanatory. And someone else wants me to build them two systems for remote access yesterday.

6:13 pm

My daughter just come back from visiting you lot ....now wants to move in !!!

6:13 pm

I'm fine thanks, Snowy. How about you? Got the Christmas cakes made last week and now they're maturing and will be 'fed' with brandy & sherry over the next few weeks. Made a lemon meringue pie & a key lime cheesecake today.

http://p105.ezboard.com/bbabbl ersanonymous

6:17 pm

While I have nothing against key limes (I do love a double margherita), I was thinking more of those fruit laden, liquor soaked bombes that she had described last week....

6:17 pm

Could you please stop now Jacula ???!!!

6:18 pm

We're back on babbles fav. sideline---------FOOD. I spent yesterday making chocolate cakes with the littlies. The christmas cakes sound wonderful.

6:18 pm

Sorry Karys. Won't mention the baked chocolate cheesecake then.:-)

6:18 pm

Cheesecakes are like cotton candy, far too light and insubstantial for all those calories.....

6:18 pm

Mine is actually one of my pics of the duck pond at my alma mater - loved that place - not the studying, just the locale

6:19 pm

Jack - you haven't tasted one of my cheesecakes. LOL.

6:22 pm

ooohhh....that means something else I have to do !!!!!

6:22 pm

Interesting. In the entire "last 50 messages" in the log, there doesn't seem to be a single reference to anything to do with actually trying to find words in a grid.

6:33 pm

MI5/25 is short term for the rank an officer graduate starts with on a ship. If he passes, he will usually become a lower grade of lt.

6:46 pm

'frumpily' is a real adverb. However, if you had made a word up there'd be nothing wrong in that. How else does English become such a rich and varied language?

All this talk of old-timey computers is making me nostalgic *sniff* When I was in high school, we got one of the first HP desktop comps. About the size of two full size comps, and not quite as smart as a current graphing calculator.

7:23 pm

Deutsch - I still have my logarithms book from school (in fact, it's the one my Dad used when he was at school). I've never yet worked out how 'logs' help in life??

7:24 pm

We had flight simulators and alien shoot-em ups in 2000 bytes of SRAM.

7:24 pm

torgon, your school was mighty progressive. I learned to type on manual typewriters. The school had only two electric ones.

7:24 pm

Anyone remember the 'DOS' days? Gawd, it was slow to do everything. Today's computing was but a dream.

7:25 pm

I have no idea what 2000 bytes of SRAM means, Jack! lol ! I was just being cheeky again! : D

7:25 pm

logs do not and will never have the answers to the deep questions, jacula lol

7:26 pm

dos, that wasn't that long ago, was it? seems like only yesterday...

7:27 pm

Jac !!...how do you look at profiles ?

7:27 pm

We had some good games on our old Amiga (or was it Amstrad?) back in the 80s. I still miss playing 'Out To Lunch'! Daughter's boyfr found me a copy and an emulator but it's so tiny it's no fun to play. Those mushrooms and potatoes were b*ggers to get into the cage. LOL.

7:27 pm

click on the handbag, Karys!

7:29 pm

Deutsch - It was fairly progressive. We started on an IBM teletype timesharing terminal hooked up to a computer somewhere. Must have been just before Al Gore invented the internet.

7:29 pm

Thank you Al Gore. He sure was busy back in the day ;-)

7:30 pm

oohhh...that's a handbag !!!!

7:30 pm

ooohhh...thats a handbag !!!!!

7:30 pm

gotta go. someone just come home. later days! hi to Doogle if he signs in.

7:31 pm

Any hints for the mi5/24? I'm drawing a blank...

7:31 pm

night, Deutsch !! have a good evening !

7:32 pm

You don't know what 2000 bytes of SRAM means? Your current computer likely has 256,000,000 bytes of DDRAM, and some of us have 2,000,000,000 bytes of DD2RAM.... My video card has 128,000,000 bytes of RAM.

7:32 pm

mi5/24 -- informal for midshipman

7:33 pm

Toodles, deutsch!

7:33 pm

artlady...extend the centre

7:33 pm

That is NOT a handbag. it's one of those little characters from the great Danish Lego game.......

7:33 pm

Thanks, babbler...that was a duh! moment (actually a whole bunch of them...sigh)

7:35 pm

Or a crystal ball, as I once saw another Babbler say. Personally, I was here when those signs first went up and I thought they were handbags. LOL. Incidentally, very occasionally, I've seen someone with a grey 'handbag' - does that mean their gender or sexuality is in doubt or unknown??

7:35 pm

or could be Bod http://www.toonhound.com/bod .htm

7:35 pm

Remember having to use edlin???

7:36 pm

still use it...... And DOS. My stat generator is written in GWBasic.......

7:37 pm

MS-DOS to edit files? Don't have to use that now, thank God!

7:37 pm

ok ..you lot....has to be bedtime....ni nite !!!

7:37 pm

Doogle and I were the first two to get our icons. Think he was first..... As for the grey character, it means they haven't updated their profile yet.

7:37 pm

nite Karys !!!!!!

7:38 pm

Night Karys. Sweet dreams.

7:38 pm

Dont dream a Babblegrid!

7:38 pm

Well, using DOS to edit files is one thing. Works just as well as it ever did, which is quite well. But Edlin, where you can only edit one line at a time and can't even see the whole file? Fneh!

7:38 pm

'Nite Karys..

7:39 pm

nite Babbler..see you tomorrow ..hopefully !

7:39 pm

Jack - oh right, re the grey handbags. Me and my SO did wonder! LOL.

7:39 pm

.... probably !!! : ) I'm hitting the hay now too. Goodnight all !!

7:39 pm

nite Karys...

7:40 pm

You can actually choose to not have a gender. In the gender drop-down box, there is a blank area right above the 2 standard choices that, if selected, causes you to be genderless. Now if Doc God could just make things easier for us hermaphrodites! Brandyjack - the first icon was yours!

7:40 pm

good nite Babbler...

7:40 pm

just started messing around with Linux again. Forgot how much I hate VI....................

7:41 pm

Goodnight Babbler. Have Babblefree dreams.

7:41 pm

"Nite Babbler!

7:41 pm

Can anyone help me out with the last o? I have what bookies make, and the one about frequency. What am I missing?

7:41 pm

Hmmm, I should hope that Babbler is in her own dreams.....

7:42 pm

Never used Linux, as far as I recall (which isn't very far). :-(

7:42 pm

A lyric poem of some length, usually of a serious or meditative nature and having an elevated style and formal stanzaic structure. Adj. thereof.....

7:42 pm

Pask love the bunny! I've been trying to change my icon and failed again.

7:43 pm

Was actually SCO UNIX back then, but messing with RedHat Linux Fedora Core 3 lately to set up some IP phone emulators and snoopers.

7:43 pm

didnt realize it had worked thanks

7:44 pm

Eva - I'm not sure where to guide you, as I don't see which of the three words relates to frequency. Do you have an O4 and an O5 or two O4s?

7:44 pm

Thanks brandyjack! Can't believe I never saw that one.

7:45 pm

Failing Jack's clue, think of the would-be mayor of London's mother (in the pantomime) seeing her son go off imagining the city's street were paved with gold. She might have exclaimed, 'Oh Di**!' (That's the clean version of this clue.) Take out the 'h' and the 11th letter of the alphabet. Voila!

7:47 pm

Set up IP phone emulators and snoopers??? Don't like the sound of that, Jack!

7:48 pm

Well goodnight all. Happy babbling. Thank you all for your help and your company. Spare a thought for CATHB who is on a course with my extremely crazy son in law and has no computershe is allowed to babble on.on

7:49 pm

Night Snowy. Sending out nice thoughts to CATHB.

7:50 pm

The emulators are setup to emulate 1000 phones to beat the stuffings out of a system. The snooper is to demonstrate why you want encryption on the datastream.....

7:50 pm

Doogle - of5/16 - more often. Chaucer coined the word.

7:50 pm

Ah! Got you now Jack. Was a bit worried there for a moment.:-/

7:52 pm

Thanks, Jac. Got it now. Wasn't seeing the word that way.

7:53 pm

Jacula --- well I've been to ez-board had to add to my user name.... it looks like a great idea.... no reciepes yet though.....

7:58 pm

No, as I said in there, I will type up some recipes later, as will PAV.

7:58 pm

Doogle - have you finished the grid now?

7:58 pm

So near and yet so far, I am 11 words short, but I have just run out of time, damn choir practise, it got in the way of babbling!

7:59 pm

Be quick exWren - tell us what words you are missing...

7:59 pm

Time to split. "Working" late tonite. I may be back later to finish - just 7 to go. Thanks and tata!

8:01 pm

'Bye Torgone. If you leave us note of what words you are missing, we will leave clues.

8:01 pm

Blimey! That sounded like a 'cult' message, didn't it? LOL.

8:02 pm

many thanks for the offer Jacula, but 2am is my absolute limit, and the missing words are all over the square.

8:02 pm

Well I am off till the new puzzle.... dinner bell needs to be rung....

8:04 pm

OKay Blaze and ExWren. 'See' you later.

8:09 pm

May I please have the number of words. Seem to be a little off somewhere. Thanks

8:10 pm

8:10 pm

Sooooo much better than Saturday! Short and sweet.

8:10 pm

1600 points.

8:10 pm

Thanks artlady!

8:13 pm

Jamie's done well for himself hasn't he, Artlady? Got a really nice place here.

8:14 pm

Good luck tap! I'm outtahere!

8:14 pm

Have a good nite artlady.

8:15 pm

Goonight Artlady.

8:15 pm

8:19 pm

Wow, you've done it again. Thank you Brandyjack.

8:20 pm

I'm still 14 words short. Here's where I'm missing things: 1) i's id4/7 id4/5 in5/12 in6/21 in4/7 in5/16 in6/21 2) s's se4/6 se4/6 se4/6 se4/4 s i4/6 si4/5 si4/4 sn5/12 so7/36 so5/20 so5/16 s04/7 so6/27 st 4/6 st4/7

8:21 pm

Ooops- didn't make it clear that the list is of the things which I already have.

8:28 pm

Got the last i finally by monkey typing...although that's a bit too far up the evolutionary scale for the way my brain is operating... more like amoeba typing.

8:30 pm

Morning All - I need a bit of help - looking for the second Di6. I have the diaper one. Any clues?

8:32 pm

Dianne...follows your di4 6...same format as the first di6...subst one vowel

8:33 pm

Still here on and off if anyone wants clues...

8:34 pm

Eva - Sn4/5 and In 5/18

So, how is everyone night going?

8:36 pm

Eva sn4 5 Jacula...posted the recipe....Jack's already got the one in as well AM off to get home, then I'll check back in for any help I can give...thanks Jacula

Oh... more men on now! :) Nice...

8:38 pm

Thanks Doogle and PAV for the s - got it now. But could use some more help on the in5.....have been round and round and round and round and must have missed the right combo.

8:40 pm

Eva - it's an alternate spelling of a common en5.

8:41 pm

help with me5 and de5? i have the de5 that means very thick

8:41 pm

de5 - what you might do to your car on a fosty morning.

8:42 pm

or even a *frosty morning!

8:42 pm

There are 3 Me5 words. Need 'em all?

8:42 pm

Sorry doogle, but I think I'm flatlining. Call in the paddles and clear the gurney!

8:42 pm

Which me5??

8:42 pm

got the de, thanks!

8:43 pm

oops! have the me5's

8:43 pm

me5/20 - 1. A member of a military medical corps. 2. A physician or surgeon. 3. A medical student or intern.

8:44 pm

Man down! Call a me5! He might live in your palatial me5. But the habitat is moist, 'cause he's me5.

8:44 pm

have 3 of em. the doc, the one that sounds like the doc, and the plural of the mispelt drink

8:44 pm

me5 - # A fitting recompense. # Archaic. A merited gift or wage. Plural of your me 4/7

8:45 pm

its the palace i need

8:46 pm

can any offer any clues for SO 5/16, ME 4/9, MI 6/30

8:46 pm

me5 - Of, characterized by, or adapted to a moderately moist habitat. The Sound Of M****. But change the first vowel.

8:47 pm

me5 - profits of premises during the time the owner has been wrongfully kept out of the possession of his estate. --Burrill.

Thank you Jacula! =o)

8:47 pm

Yeah, and palace made no sense. I was making an errant assumption. Jacula's 8:47 clue is the one you want to follow up on.

8:48 pm

so5/16 - you might yell, 'SOD IT!' if you don't get this word, though maybe not quite ending like that.

8:48 pm

me4/9 - what your cat might say.

8:48 pm

i am a lawyer, i should ahve known that one! ty jacula

8:49 pm

mi6/30 - did things wrong!

8:50 pm

I've actually trained my cat to say "Oops! Your word doesn't exist in the puzzle" instead. I've gotten so used to it.

8:51 pm

The legal recompense is the one I'm missing, but I have no idea what it might be, and a quick search through legal terms on the web dint find it for me.

8:51 pm

Dooglle - you're fibbing! Cat's can't talk! Mind you, the looks they can direct your way say a lot, as does their body language.

8:51 pm

od4 thats not the plural of strange??

8:52 pm

Eva - Imagine a Scotsman saying there isn't a mess. Take out an 'n' and take out the 'a' from his negative.

8:52 pm

Eva - the word you're after is an anagram of a common ejaculate material (sorry, it's the only anagram I can think of...).

8:53 pm

PAV - it's hoepless - I can't find that second Di6 no matter what. Does it rhyme with something? Any other clues?

8:53 pm

LOL Doogle. I hadn't thought of that!

8:55 pm

Di - if you did something someone asked you to to, they might say, whilst you were in the act of doing it, 'Di does what I asked.'

8:55 pm

Both Di6 words are plurals of ones you've probably already got. One of them is the plural of one of the characters from Henry Purcell's "Di4 and Aeneas."

8:56 pm

thanks jacula.

8:56 pm

Failing you getting that clue, if you had more than ne dog called Fido, it would be FI****.

8:57 pm

Roseymay - which clue were the thanks for?

8:58 pm

Jac and Doogle - you guys are the best. Thanks. Now what about the second Me4 I have the one meaning reward. Any clues?

8:58 pm

Jacula!!! that was so good how you gave that clue. LOL

8:59 pm

No Robert. It's more of a betting thing. 'Evens or Od**'.

8:59 pm

So what does it say for me that the ejaculation clue was the only one I got? Oh mispent life. Now if I'd been a lawyer..... down to 7 words missing, 2 of which are biggies - 6's. The 6's I have are: di6/24 ed6/24 fo6/27 in6/ 21 in6/21 mi6/30 so6/27 to6/27 wi6/33

9:00 pm

i still need the mi6/30 but i got the other two

9:01 pm

Dianne - the 2nd me4 is what a cat says.

9:01 pm

mi6/30 - got it wrong.

9:02 pm

Please, help with the di 6/24? I have the dixx and Anaeus one.

9:04 pm

Mab - cutesy sounding synonym for diapers.

9:04 pm

Jac - I have the poorest sense of direction - I was looking at the top M - DUH. Thanks. I need an So5. I have the mud house one. Any little, bitty hint?

9:04 pm

Mab - like I said before, imagine someone telling a crowd of female rabbits to perish. They might yell, 'Di****!'

9:05 pm

That's the one she already has, Jacula. Dianne - "of or relating to sodium"

9:06 pm

Mab - look at Jac's 8:55 post to me. It's a great clue.

9:06 pm

Bottom 's', straight up, go right, then down to the right.

9:08 pm

Thanks Jacula and Doogle. Am processing.

9:08 pm

Eva - another di6/24

9:08 pm

Jac, Darling - you're not reading! That's the one Dianne said she already has!

9:08 pm

I did it! Nite all. Good luck.

9:09 pm

Congrats, tap!

9:09 pm

And another to6/27.

9:10 pm

Jac and Doogle - you guys have saved my day. Got it and have finished. Now I actually may get to my meeting on time!! This game is a terrible thing :)

9:11 pm

evenin everyone. :)

9:11 pm

Doogle - I gave her directions to the 'of or relating to sodium one' .(Dianne, that is.)

9:11 pm

Morning (here) Evanadine. How's you?

9:12 pm

Sorry, Jac. Your "directions" directions kind of looked like they could apply to either word.

9:13 pm

im good...just after 10pm here...probably going to bed soon...gotta babble a bit first... anyone have the 6'es?

9:14 pm

The dreadful, dire, d's are driving me dotty! I have the following: di4/7 di514 di624 di4/6 di4/5 di4/7 di5/16 di4/5 di5/14 di4/5 di4/5 do4/5 do4/ 5 do4/5 do5/12 do4/5 do4/5 do5 /12 do5/12 do4/5 do7/48 do5/26

9:18 pm

Somehow when I typed in my d's I left off the de's. Anyway, am down to 5 words.

9:21 pm

Thank you everyone for your patience and generosity. I think I'm going to need to walk away from those last 5 words, or end up back at the chiropractor tomorrow morning.

9:21 pm

heh, i still need another 38 words...

9:24 pm

dont give up Eva what do u need?

9:24 pm

Clues for which Evanadine?

9:24 pm

Eva - I think she needs all of the de's?

9:26 pm

eh, i dont have enough time to get em all...gotta go to bed in a few minutes...

9:27 pm

de4/7 - to have as an opiniion, as a judge might 'de**m it so'. de5/16 - what you need to do to your car on frosty mornings. de4/7 A local, usually stable population of interbreeding organisms of the same kind or species. Failing that, interchange your vowel and consonant in the last 2 letters of your first 'de'.

9:28 pm

Jacula WHY are we still here at 3:30 in morning? LOL

9:28 pm

Hi Y'all! Begging time. I need an "n" I have: ni4/5 ni5/12 ni4/5 ni5/10

9:29 pm

Hi Torgone. How was 'work'

9:29 pm

de4/5 - more than one animal lair or hiding place (esp. for small boys) de4/5 - what might appear on your car after a prang with a gatepost.

9:30 pm

Worst day of my life! What do you think? Gosh!

9:30 pm

Torgone ni4-4

9:30 pm

ni4/4 - first degree of divorce. Decree ni**.

9:32 pm

How did I NOT get that word?? I know that word! Thanks!!!

9:33 pm

Decree ni4/4 was sure a bad day for me, but didn't even know the Decree Absolute wa until a fortnight after it happened. (Solicitor didn't bother to tell me!)

9:35 pm

9:30 was my Napoleon Dynamite impression, by the way. Not trying to be snarky, dearest mab.

9:39 pm

Y'all talk funny out there in Califori. Who might Napoleon Dynomite be?

9:40 pm

eva, are you eva gu?

9:40 pm

Now I need an me5. I have: 5/20, 5/16/, 5/18

9:43 pm

trying to change my icon...just testing...

9:44 pm

anyone know why its not changing?

9:45 pm

mab - It's an indie film that, though maybe not a great movie, has spawned a cult following.

9:46 pm

Did you try refreshing, evanadine?

9:46 pm

Changed for me, evanadine. Very Halloweenish. Try clearing your browser cache.

9:47 pm

torgone!! me5-14

9:48 pm

Oh yes! I remember a friend mentioning it to me as a must-see. It's not another boy-loses-innocence film is it?

9:48 pm

how do i do that, torgone?

9:51 pm

mab - not really. Mostly a bunch of offbeat characters with a lot of funny lines ( I think almost every line of dialog is on a t-shirt somewhere), and then boy makes a couple friends.

9:51 pm

evanadine - Are you using IE?

9:54 pm

pask!! Got it! Thankypoos!

9:54 pm

nevermind, i got it...thanks torgonne. :D

9:56 pm

Clear your caches on both IE and Firefox, Evanadine and also do a disk clean-up, ticking all boxes. Then run Spybot. After that, if you haven't done it in a while, defrag your computer. But, for now, try pressing F5 and see if that works.

9:58 pm

After that, do all the earlier things at least twice daily, do the spybot twice a week at least, and defrag at leat once a month.

9:58 pm

jacula inspired me to get festive with my icon. ;) as for now, this lady is going to bed! gnite all! (or good morning, as the case may be for most of you...heh)

9:58 pm

Defrag? Got a week? ;)

9:59 pm

Torgone - shame on you if it's going to take you a week to defrag! Gosh!

10:00 pm

Sweet dreams, evanadine..

10:00 pm

Festive? Did I, Evanadine?? Night to you anyway.x

10:01 pm

gnite all. see ya in a few hours...hehe

10:01 pm

I know..... I should defrag more often.... *hangs head, kicks dirt*

10:04 pm

Down to 2 words: to4's I have: 4/5, 4/8, 4/4. Pwetty pweeeeeez!!!

10:05 pm

torgone... you need a to4/7, and a te4/6

10:05 pm

And floss. How about flossing? Do you floss? Daily? Huh? Do you? Floss? I'm finished if you need anything.

10:07 pm

Mab - Torgone is shamed enough re the health of his computer. I really think we should refrain from asking him about his personal hygiene.:-/)

10:07 pm

ah... but maybe she was asking if he flossed his keyboard?

10:09 pm

Hi Everyone! Tor - You need a to4/10

10:09 pm

I think we should just get it all right out in the open. It's therapetic. Not therapeutic, therapetic.

10:09 pm

to4/7 - 1. A homestead. 2. A hillock. Otherwise, imagine laying your head upon a so** and yielding female breast to watch TV. Then change the first letter to the next letter.

10:09 pm

I do floss - my teeth and my keyboard. I have the te. I need 2 to4's.

10:09 pm

THERAPEUTIC

10:10 pm

Oh Jacula. Hes going to get stuck on he word 'breast.'

10:10 pm

to4/10 - drag that car and throw a question at the end of it.

10:11 pm

Yea, Mab. roflol

10:12 pm

Just monkey type them Torgy, they're only four letters long. Hi Hugabugs.

10:12 pm

Hi Mab!

10:13 pm

Did somebody say something??? I lost my focus about halfway through Jac's post! =P

10:13 pm

I've been to TOWYn in Wales for a holiday visit before now.

10:14 pm

Wipe that smirk off Tor.... ;o)

10:15 pm

Torgone! Get off that nice soft breast and the heartbeat beneath if that sends you to sleep (which is what happened to my SO earlier) and get looking for words! ROFLOLPMP.

10:15 pm

could i have a list of the 7's, pleeeeeeaase? thanks!

10:17 pm

Wow! I got both those words! Thank you, thank you, thank you! You lovely, lovely ladies!!!!!! My gratitude is limitless, my adoration unbounded, my affection eternal!

10:17 pm

That's right, Jacula. Torgone! Shake it off! Get ahold of yourself man (no, not literally)!

10:19 pm

A harem, at your service. I'll be the sarcastic one.

10:19 pm

the 7's: do7/48 en7/48 en7/44 mi 7/48 so7/36 to7/36

10:19 pm

Heya Hugs! I'm doing GREAT!

10:19 pm

thanks jacula

10:22 pm

They say Torgone's holding his own, but I think he's got help.

10:23 pm

Well, let's hope.

10:25 pm

We all need some help sometimes..

10:25 pm

Hiya Tor - looks like you're being catered to by all the women around here. *wink*

10:25 pm
