Hi everyone!
Ey guys. another babble time.
Hello
Hello again
hello there!
New tiles have been uploaded. Everyone force reload (hold down "option" or "alt" while refreshing) the page to see them.
It looks different, the grid.
hi zubie!
hi does anyone elses letters/points look a little funny
Hi Honey! The grid looks strange!
c8/50
Yeah. Do you have stats?
Morning all from the UK... Morning Dr...
I don't, Honey.
hello to all..,.. new grid in more than one way... Thanks Dr_G is there a reason for this change ???
yes, my grid looks quite odd as well, wondering if it was me
r8/50
So you know what each letter is worth I guess!
stats are up on Bab anon
c/8 50
C 8/55
i8/50 & i9/66
Blaze- Hasbro muscled me a little, so I had to make some changes to the tiles so they didn't look so similar to Scrabble tiles.
oh my.... another nudge.... Dr_G let me just thank you again for your hard work and giving us this lovely game...
I'm not sure why the Stats Panel hasn't finished yet. It should be done by now. Time to put on my spelunking cap and dive into the bowels of Babble...
Sorry you had to deal with that hassle Dr God, thanks for the facelift.
thank you as well, it's been fun and educational :0)
It's up.
thank you for all your work too brandyjack, very much appreciated! :0)
Props to brandyjack also!
Ok. I gave the stats panel a kick in the pants. It is now ready.
Thanks you. :-)
I am thankful there are no Q's I could not make anything for about 5 minutes...... whew
O8/50
Not only are there no starters for Q, but no inclusions either.
nice red herring... it was the first thing i looked for, too
awesome! let's here it for lack of qu's :0)
huh. Some of my words are missing in the babblers anonymous 2nd letter clues/
Brandyjack: Went back to look at yesterday's puzzle word lists after it ended and couldn't find the "jewish" words you were talking about...what were they?
I do not recall talking about any Jewish words at all. Must have been someone else......
It was jacula
nenaluli, leave me a private message on babblers anon regarding the missing words if they are todays puzzle.
c/8 50 x 2
Jewish words? I'm a Jew and know of no such things. Hebrew, Yiddish, yes; Jewsh, no.
I finished all the words from yesterday but my name was not listed anyone know why that is?
I agree, yesterday someone made some comment about "Jewish" words and that it proved something about the puzzle...have no idea what they meant....clearly they think there's a Jewish language....
stillcrazy, I had to reload a few times until everybody was there (including me) - and I did see you.
c8/50 x 3 c8/55 x1
oh no, 254 words! and I have a long day at work today :( morning all :)
hi sherb!
c8/50 x4
hi griffums...still here I see :)
e8/45
Yeah. :) Nenaluli, I see what you mean about the 2nd letter list - I just hit the same problem - have found two words that don't match for point values.
i got the 2 ch 8/50, whats the 3rd c 8/50? is it also ch? any hints?
Brandyjack I think your word list is probably fine on the word side.... but the points are off... it says us 4/3 - that can't be right!
ch/50 x 3
Machine crashed earlier, thought I had saved the program. Looks like I didn't. Won't take long to fix.
I mean ch8/50 x 3....lol
hmm i got the picker and the pickier ones whats the third?
ci8/50
Ch8...repeated in a song!
thank you sooo much Brandyjack, have I told you lately that I love you? ;~)
111 down. :s
Just changed the post at babblers anon.
Thanks brandyjack!
thats ch 8/55 isnt it?
thank you brandy jack
thanks again Brandyjack
c8s: ce8/50 ch8/50 ch8/50 ch8/ 55 ci8/50
Yep..sorry.. still early here.. Knew I should of stayed in bed!
id 9/66
ce7/36
pa7/36
thanks iceboy :D
h8/50
I am off for the night.... I must wori tomorrow with a clear head.... see you all tomorroe or later to night
Hey...there is a movie in here. It's just not in the word list.
bye Blaze
night Blaze!
thanks Griffum glad I was really there
no problem - if I'm stalking you I might as well be helpful in the process
lol
Is it just me, or have the points values of the letters also changed? H used to be worth 4 points, not 2, C, M and P were 3, Q was 8, U was 2?
*U was 1*
I was not! (but yes the pts changed)
on my grid the qu is showing value 5 at the bottom of the tile not the top right hand corner!
the point values have definitly changed. i think i might like the old board better... but maybe it's just because i was used to it.
Ho Hum, the new points are supposed to be at the bottom
Dr. God was forced to get new tiles and unfortunately some have different value
Ho Hum - see Dr God post at 12:11
I liked the old board better too. How many words today?
I have some letters that are doing both things... I need to do the force refresh thing (hold alt while refreshing the page)
oh boy, all that work to find words, and we get fewer points! with that, I bid you all good day, as work is calling me :)
ahh thanks griff, only just got here hadn't gone through the logs yet.
night sherb
When work calls, I hang up! (bye)
LOL
lol Griff! bye stillcrazy, byeeeee :)
The memory foam is calling my name so I guess I will turn in for the night. Good night all.
sweet dreams -
anyone have a clue or two to share for the ch 8/45 and two 50"s???
ch people who do the selecting
Hi, New to game could someone explain why it took a word but gave no points? Now my total points are reading NaN
i have two of those in the 7/36, thanks, i will ponder more......................... should be sleeping instead, too much caffeine!
Princezz - try refreshing your screen
princezz hit refresh... that's not right, normal but not right!
Worked!! Thanks
good, because that was the full extent of my capacity to assist. ;)
thank you helen! figured one of them now down to the other 8/50 and 8?45 and my ch's are done :0)
Clue for the first tr 4, please?
Never mind. Got it :D
tr 4... place you've stepped?
er8/45 pretty please???
Thanks, Niamh. How are you today?
I'm doing pretty well, and you?
sorry ramix I'm not there yet
I'm good, Niamh. Got a cold but even that won't stop me babbling. :)
zubie, I think that's been going around... tis the season! Hope you feel better soon.
Thanks, Niamh. I hope so, too.
the stats list the 3 ch's as 8/45 and two 8/50's, one of my 8 came up 55 and one came up 50, is there still a 45 or are the stat's possibly wrong????? help anyone :o)
ovest, brandyjack had to fix his program... new points are listed now
there are two 50's and a 55 on the ch's
niahm, thanks, i checked once and changed my print out but maybe there are more changes? thanks again
not a problem ;~)
A clue for the last sc5 please?
not there yet either Zubie... sorry
sc = the numbers in a game
Thanks, ramix.
I don't like the new grid...whaaaaaa ~:o(
only 80 words and I need to sleep. Night all!
'night -
'Night Niamh! Just got here myself... looks challenging!
I am at 70...and nodding off. thanks to all who post hints, I can usually get the words with just the numbers, but the extra little tidbits are great
Ooopsss... a big one today! And little time, so I shouldn't start... but who am I fooling? Morning all ;)
Hi sprite! Same feeling here... not sure I'll be able to finish this one, but couldn't resist!
hi sprite!
We're a real bunch of addicts, neil ;)
hi all. how's everyone doing?
been here a little bit, trying to get used to the grid
Another thumps-up for Dr_God then. He is holding my sanity in his hands every day, I am forever grateful :D
morning all
Hi ferrari!
Ah, a refresh did show me all the changes, I started with just the Q being different. We'll get used to this as well, no doubt. Let's give it a nice try, I"ll be looking at this grid for some time for sure ;)
Hi sfneil, what do you think of the new grid? a difference of 206 points( I think)
ferrari I seem to have missed some of the significance of the new grid: the look is different, but so is the scoring, then?
But I do agree this looks very quoeer.
*giggle*
lol sprite!
Lol, Sprite. Nice word. :D How are you?
Higher or lower, Ferrari? The difference, I mean.
Doing fine, though I should be doing something else than babbling ;) Never have been much interested in the values, except for when they help me find words, so I don't care the points have changed. Don't like the font, but I am an animal of habit, so I know I will get used to it soon enough.
m's, c's are now 2, qu used to be 6, h was 4, but I think w is now 5 and I think it used to be 4, how quickly we forget. Thought I'd never get used to this, but after a few mins it seems I will
yeah sprite, points don't make any difference as long as you know what letter value is
Tell my little neighbour boy that 'choo' is no word!
Thought it was just me that didn't care for the font. The u's and c's esp. oh well, won't keep me from playing though :-)
I think it (the font) is hideous, but I gather Hasbro(TM) is nagging Dr God again?
Yups, they are. Dr_God posted something about it at 12.11 am. It all seems very childish, and I think Dr_God has a great way of handling it.
morning all not a very nie day here today
You mean the grid, rosalind? Or the weather? Autumn is really setting in here now, storm and rain and flying leaves, but I don't mind. I like the change of seasons, and autumn is my favorite. Hm, in a philosophical way, you could look at the grid like that as well ;)
I'm tired and can't be a**ed to go back over the log, but in case anyone doesn't have them: c8/55 & c8/50
the weather it is pouring and really dark. I like the autunm. Have just logged on. How many words are there today/
Take a deep breath: 254 today.
I have C8/50 x 2, but I haven't found the 55 yet.
plural of c6/27
sprite, think multiples of 6/27
*goes hunting for 6/27 now* :)
thats a lot. I will try my best. I have only been doing babble for a week. It is so addictive,
and thanks, sprite for the other c8/50!
we all sing together sprite
thanks ferrari!
That's a great clue and I am sure I know what direction to look, but still not seeing. Oh please, don't let this be one of my blonde days...
your'e welcome griffums, has anyone got the di8 yet?
Handel's "Hallelujah ------"
add es to your 6/27
Argh, stupid me! I kept trying to put an i in there somewhere, for people who sing together :( Definitely too stupid to be blonde today.
Also I meant to say awhile ago that no one has mentioned it, but yes there IS a fish in the grid
keep trying to turn the d7 into a d8... no luck so far!
Found the fish
202 down.
No grid without a fish :) I submit P9: someone who makes use of a handbag. Won't take, though :(
ok..im having trouble finding the di6/27 to be able to turn it into a di8
me too rolin, the di7 doesn't work as sfneil said
oh ferrari...at least it not just me then..lol
Ah, found the Di7/36. And you are all right, it can't be made longer. Don't ask me why, they look like perfectly valid words to me. I have no trouble making up defs for them either ;)
Anyone else for 'recipe' and 'rescues'?
I could use a "skip one tile free" card...
roflol!
i wanna do secret
a clue for the su 7?
I haven't found it yet, sorry.
gotic angel..just found it..its a french on...before a cold weather clothing
Hehe, sprite. I'm trying something new. Working from the end of the double letter list, so I can see the words without having to scroll down and then back up to enter them. Hahaha.
Hey, that's a good idea! OMG, I just thought of something. Wouldn't it be horrid if Babble displayed your word list and also your 'not valid' word list? Tres embarrassing.
I hardly use the 2nd letter list, but I know there are more people who play from the bottom up. I can't, I love it too much to type words at random, as fast as I see them, until I run dry. ;)
I wouldn't mind, Griffums ;) At least I would score points for originality! It wouldn't hurt if 'asparagus' was in here, btw.
Sprite, actually the one I keep seeing is Snuffleupagus.
What a lovely word griffums, give it a definition and if we all use it enough it'll get in the dictionary!
You win for originality ;)
ok .. I've seen everyone's close but no cigar words except the most recent one from Griffums and Grif, gotta say it... I'm concerned... too much champers or what? and more importantly don't you know you are supposed to share?
Oh, it has a definition - it's the wonderful wooly creature from Sesame Street. But I think we should all get the associated 3,942 word points just for discussing it.
No champers. Just very late here. And also that I'm neurotic, which is another word I keep seeing.
LOL snuffy...I mean griff. I keep seeing census and resurrect....
and diorama
So really we need three stat lists: My Word List My Idiot Dope-Slap of a Nonword List My Word List That Might Have Been
suddenly I feel very pensive
Oh man, I cannot stop obsessing over this d8... I think I need to go to bed.
clue for the second co6/21 and the co7 please?
I've tried every which sfneil but can't find it, it'll either be weird or glaringly obvious!
I finally saw the Reese's. Mmmm - fish AND candy! Two great tastes that taste great together!
*Wails* Help!
I have only 1 Co6/21 and no 7, zubie, sorry!
I have 3x co6/21 but they're all plural
The d8 has not got a definition per say but looks very similar to a word that means "The district or churches under the jurisdiction of a bishop" but the letters are rearranged a bit..... sorry best I can do to help
Hello everyone. I finally found the D 8/50 - having male reproductive organs in one individual and female in another. Alt spelling.
sorry 2 are plural and other won't
But what a nice E7/32-8/45! Also a similar U6/24. No 7 there, too bad!
Aww sprite! I was counting on you! ;)
Ho Hum, I didn't have that one either so thanks! (And wow - you can almost make that WHOLE word with the arch- prefix - that'd be a whopper for points!)
I like the O6/27 flower as well.
Ugh. Finally found the d8, and am now exhausted. Goodnight everyone.... I'll tackle the other 157(!) words tomorrow!
Sleep well, neil!
griffum...good hint on the a4/6... fish and reeses? love it LOL..was that from the original commercial?
sweet dreams of letters and numbers to you Mr. Neil!
sfneil, you cant go without giving us a clue
Yes, in the original commercial it wasn't a chocolate bar accidentally getting into the peanut butter, it was a fish. (The marketing campaign was disappointing.)
did that ad reach here?
any clues for ce 8/50
ferrari it was ages ago...
ce8/50,means hornlike
ferrari, here's the best my spent brain can do: ends like "Origin of Sp-----" by Darwin. Starts out with Italian for 'God' Good luck and goodnight, everyone!
I'm older than I care to think
Jen says 'ages ago' because she's like freakin ELEVEN YEARS OLD or something...
You are wonderful sfneil, sleep well, LOL
I'm with you, ferrari. Old as the hills, but hey, we know a lot of words because of that ;)
I worship sfneil!
grif... I wish 11...that was my last best year. and my age is truthfully displayed on my profile.... you are making me laugh OUT loud for real and my coworker is giving me strange looks. I love it !!!
sprite, I'm blonde too but a bit of grey is sneaking in
Neil, sweetheart, thanks a zillion :D Weird word and strange spelling. Note to self: There is NO 'N' in this grid!!!!!
Oh honey - that was my first worst year, and it hasn't let up since!
just logged on for today's babble. don't think i like the new tiles. what does everyone else think?
I am a brunette, actually... too stupid to be blonde ;)
Scroll down and you'll know, Linda... Nobody likes it very much, but it can't be helped.
can we ask Dr_God to change it back?
morning linda, I'm used to them already. There's a distinct sniff of deja vous, this is the 2cnd change for me
Well, I just have to stop. It's 1 am and I'm exhausted, and I won't have time to get to this much tomorrow if at all, so here ends my winning streak. Boo double hoo. Goodnight everybody and thanks for the chat!
Grif, you've been great tonight, like always, have a wonderfully enchanted rest of your evening.
any clue for the 9 words?
Thank you. I hope to wake rescued and resurrected, and possibly even asparagused. 'Night.
You're not stupid spike, just slightly mad like the rest of us.That di8 would seem to be hermaphrodite
night night griffums
Slightly mad, I like that! Griffums, cuddle up to your Snufflearagus and have sweet dreams ;)
Ci8/50 been mentioned yet? We should have a list of all the found biggies, I am not sure which have been mentioned yet. The log is too long to be sure, I overlook things more often than not.
i've struggled to get to 20 words. it's going to be a long day. i'm off to do a couple of jobs. back in 30 minutes.
The only fish I can see is cod, must keep fishing
There's an hi8 you might find in your di7
Another E7/32
im so stuck
Clue for the first re8, please?
ferarri..can you give a little more on those Hi and Di's pleese...
sprite~ is there really a fish? could I get a clue?
I got it, never mind :D Brain's not working!
a veery "golden" fish!!
A golden fish??? what where??
another spelling to what we usually think..You do mean the d4 don't you?
My biggies so far, one still missing in action (a 7): 9: id66 8s: ce50, ch50, ch50, ch55, ci50, di50, er45, hi50, id50, or50, re50, re45 7s: ch36, ch36, co32, co32, di36, er32, er32, ho32, pa36, ra32, re32, sa36, sa32, se32, si28, su36, one missing.
helenary, see 3.44 for sfneil's wonderful clue, hi8, think Egypt
235 now and struggling.
D4/5, gilded fish :)
Zubie, do you have the re8 now?
sprite, your'e missing another re7
Yes, sprite. Finished with the re's.
Thanks ferrari. How many points is that one? Can't think of another re, help me please :)
thanks sprite and ferrari ....was just kickin myself for never completing that degree in ichthyology then realized I already had that word from monkeytyping. Alas, the degree was much better in healthcare than fish care :)
Sorry sprite, there's only 1 re7, was getting mixed up with the 8's, I will have a large portion of humble pie please
roflol! Sending me on a wild goose chase? Well, for something completely different... ;) Anyone else who knows what I am missing?
sprite it's a ce7, it really is
Aha, the forced birth thing! Thanks a lot, I found it. Ce7/36 added to the list, now it is complete :)
Thanks for the clue sprite, :0)))
Thought you had it already, lol.
248 now.
I am right behind you, zubie, I need 21 more. Doing great, aren't we? ;)
si 6 and si 7? I've got the si's that sound french.
It's rugged range of mountains having an irregular or jagged profile, but it is also a spanish mackerel :D And its plural, of course.
Thanks Sprite!
Clue for the co 7 please? It's my last one. 253 and dizzy now.
the si's 6 & 7 sound italian and not french
Co7: rougher to the touch, less refined. I'm down to 4 more now, getting there. WTG, zubie!
But Si5/6 combo sound french :D
moussaka, I was thinking the french word mon*****.
I meant the other co7 sprite. I have that one.
co7, there are 2, one means rougher, haven't got the other
The other is pirate or pirate ship, but it sounds like a plane company.
Wow! Great clue, sprite! I got it at once! [Little dance; I'm done now and can sleep!]
Congrats, zubie!
Thanks sprite was going the wrong way for that
Congrats Zubie! I'm dizzy already and I've just started... :)
well done zubie, three cheers for zubie, hip hip
Thanks. :) Poo's Mum - need any clues? I'll be here lurking for a while. I like the 44 word grids. I get to sleep with those! :D
hooray!
Anyone else need clues?
254 words / 5.06 / 3625 points for me as well. Nice grid! But way too big, I know ;)
Yah Sprite!
Congrats, sprite!
What's wrong with auroch?
Auroch is, as sprite would say, ferrari, 'quoeer' :D
I like it zubie :0)
All credit to sprite, ferrari. :)
Ok, I think I'm out of here. Any clues needed before I leave?
zubie, the su7 would be good, thanks
LOL @ the nonwords :) Su7: something to wear when you get out.
It builds on the co 4/5 and is an outer co 4/5, ferrari
Good morning Everyone! Eww what happened to the grid?
Hi Hugabugs. The grid changed!
the letters have changed - but you do get used to it
sprite, zubie thanks, a knight of the round table!, lol
Hi Hugs! See Dr_God at 12.11 am. Hasbro wasn't satisfied with the tiles yet.
Hi Hugs, how are you today?
Ok everyone. I'm logging out now. See you tomorrow then! :)
Hi zubie, bye zubie!
see you tomorrow zubie :0)
Bye Zubie!
Morning ferrari, Sprite and Linda! Geez... I can't see any words.... and there's 254 of these invisible ones?
You'll be surprised once you get going, Hugs! :) And there are a lot of clues and lists posted already.
memo to self; 1000 lines- don't forget the singulars
yeah, Sprite, I'm beginning to see more and more. It just the letters look so odd to me
Right ferrari, one of my eternal mistakes as well! I was used to the new tiles quite soon, actually, Hugs, I think you will too. Good hunting and have a great day, all. I am off for now.
Bye Sprite! Thanks for all the help!
bye sprite, see you tomorrow.
Bye Sprite... enjoy your day!
ew ew ew eyes burn! I know dr_god had to change them ... but ouch! yes, I'm feeling grumpy today LOL
I feel like an a4/4 staring at this puzzle today!
any clues for the di/50
dromano66 district of a bishop
go off for a night's sleep and dr god changes everything!
Hi Cathy! You do kind of get used to it...
it's making my eyes cross right now! is it me, or are the words not too obvious today?
No it's not you...
thank you
I admit to having diffiulty in seeing anything today!
lol...
afternoon all
hey bubbles
didn't think it would take you long to get on here babe. afternoon all ;)
hi cathy how are you?
i knew you was playing! Thought i'd play for 10 minutes whilst i eat
hi bobsta... long time no see bubbles - doing fine, thanks... temperature could be a bit kinder, however! how are you?
I'm looking at bright sunshine at the mo, it won't last long though, i'm ok, suffering with a headache but apart from that ok
di8/50, is to do with a flammable liquid, see sfneil's clue at 3.44
hiya cathy :) only on for a while myself babe. got to do the washing and tidying up :(
feeling domesticated are we?
not particularly
Hi bubbles
lol... had a little domesticated stint myself last night.. although was very careful not to overdo it!
thanx ferrari..you helped me with that way back with the di7
ooh.. that was a nice find... the o6 rare flower one
i mean di8
hi ferrari, you ok? Bobsta what delights are you cooking up for dinner?
morning all - just got my internet connection back & realised just how addictive this game is while i was without it!!
lol zoom
keema. and if you're good, i'll get some paratha! (everyones gonna be wondering what i'm on about now)
fine thanks bubbles, I thought I'd got the other sa7- sarodic but no luck, I've only got the anagram of it
i'm always good!!!
morning zoom
I've not put any words in yet, brain not functioning at the moment!!
hey ferrari - been here long?
Got to go guys see you later. Bye babe x
ckicken keema is lovely, make some for me too
speak to you in a while babe x
too long zoom
i've made lamb keema ferrari, will that do?
lol ferrari - nearly finished then?!
that would be great bobsta, I'll just get a dish
about 30 to go zoom
*dishes out a large portion of keema for ferrari*
whats up with the #'s on the letters?
sounds good bobsta - is there enough to share?
Thankyou bobsta, smells delicious :0))))
no probs zoom, on its way!
shorty new tile set
oh thanks
Mmmmm.....yummy!
what's a keema?
you mean there is no QU's
cathy: its curried minced lamb and peas
ew
ah... indian origin?
cathy: yes and it tastes gorgeous
sounds great... i was back in england recently, and one of the things i just had to do was go for an indian - boring old chicken tikka masala but it tasted great!
Hope it went ok cathy, a sad time for you
bubbles-1 would only eat chicken korma until i introduced her to the world of my mums cooking. now we have to eat it all the time. I wouldn't mind but i was brought up on it.
Don't forget the kebab we had Cath!
ferrari... it was actually lovely to see everyone after 18 months away - sad as it was, it was also a good time.
A silver linling, that's good
As long as we arent heading for another babble food fight *lines up malted milk biscuits in case*
cathy - do you come back to england often?
ferrari was the other sa7/32 you needed fish related to the needlefishes.
just tipped the 100 mark - thought it was going too well, i've stalled now. any clues for the 7s or 8s by chance?
yes frances cos I've got the flesh one, the fish one eludes me
zoom... not as often as i would like... i get quite homesick! the dollar is awful against the pound, so it is really expensive
ferrari go up the right
zoom see 3.44 for the di8 , sfneil's good clue
jooboz... ah yes, the kebab - i ate that whilst horizontal, if i remember
thankyou frances, I'm so excited now (it doesn't take much)
That was nothing to do with me. Your choice to start with beer, move on to JD and THEN have Pernod...
ferrari know just how you feel I get the long words and struggle with the four letter ones
ah... but did i open the wine when we got to the house? hmmmmmmmmmm?
frances - i wish i had that feeling
ooh!! pernod JD mix, not good
*jooboz shuts up*
cathy22w some peolpe are soooooo easy to please!
bobsta - the jd was fab, but the pernod caught my eye and i just HAD to have some!
lol frances
thanks ferrari - i got a di7 from that- still looking for the 8.
actually, jooboz, i think i may still have a hangover
did you get to try JD & Red Bull Cathy?
these new tiles are confusing
bobsta - i saw some people drinking the vodka and red bull thing, and it crossed my mind, but i get a bit dodgy with caffeine as it is and so i thought i'd better leave it. i love red bull, though
Bobsta - are you crazy? Red Bull gives you wings. And means you can't sleep for about 3 weeks
so, joo, what's that thing on your icon? it doesn't look like guinness to me
The sign for Virgo. Should I make it Guinness then?
don't blame you cathy, you've missed a treat though. jooboz: you mean you've never tried it? its yum. it tastes a bit like refreshers. admittedly it IS a bit difficult to get to sleep afterwards though!!!
I'm confused... how come the letter values have changed?
ha, hugabugs... didn't notice that
Dr God said it was only a cosmetic change. I don't like though. Now the numbers are just as obvious as the letter so I have to really look for words...I'M CHALLENGED ENOUGH AS IT IS :)
I'm crawling off back to bed for a bit. The new colours are making my eyes all swimmy and I do *not* want another migraine!
gotta scoot for a while guys and girlies. Read you later. ;)
night night, atalante
Hugabugs don't grumble not often prices go down!
see you bobsta, thanks for the keema.
bye bobsta
173 words to go... man
oy!
before i go, i couldn't see what you guys meant about the letters so i changed to internet explorer and i see what you mean. the letters still look like they did before if you use firefox, its faster too.
now I know babble eats words, mustn't have had the cursor( or should that be curser,b***** ) in the right place
Bobsta, I use Firefox and the letters are different and valued differently also
they've changed in FF too, if you force refresh the page ...
mornin all... im liking the makeover to the tiles -- makes it easier to see the numbers so maybe now i will have fewer math mistakes when babbling...hehe
ah, i didn't do a force refresh. my bad, see ya later guys.
bye bobsta - thanks for the keema:)
but the values have changed so drastically... U's are 2 points now? C and M only 2? H only 2? argh... this is changing the point value completely. I've got to learn a whole new way of Babbling this way.
i dont like these tiles all i see is #'s ahhhhhhhhhhhh
changed to firefox and it's better
cathy22w looks just the same to me
Frances - refresh and hold down you alt key at the same time
Hugabugs still looks the same as ie
Oh it will... I thought you meant it looked the same as before.
hey Hugabugs i know its a big place in Winnepeg but did you know Bob Beggs?
not having a problem with the new look, but the math is killing me ! morning all :>)
Sorry Shorty... I don't know anyone by that name. They call Winnipeg the big town city... because it's amazing who knows who... there always seems to be so many connections.
Good morning/afternoon. The log is very quiet today.
Hi Haz... yeah... we're all concentrating on the new math!
ok I was just wondering b/c he was pretty popular well liked man we talked hockey all the time
I'm terrible with numbers, so I've just let it all wash over me so far!
I new a Beggs in high school... but damn if I can remember his first name.
hmmmmmm could be him
I thought the Brits -ised everything. Pout - was so excited about my sexy e9/e10 combo...
Shorty - there's only 11 Beggs in the phone book. So you never know.
yep ya never know
and when I paint my walls again, I r6 them, don't I?
umm, make that "I re-c4/5 them..."
254 words today.... Morning all!
New puzzle lay out eh? upgrade?
dr g was hassled by hasbro again.
any help on the sa7/32?
sa7 - Relating to or resembling flesh, I never heard of it before though.
Morning everyone!! Can I get a clue on the di8? I have the di7, but I can't make it an 8... is it totally different?
sorry that was the sa7/36 not the sa7/32
begrery - I was just gonna say that.... hehe but thanks anyhow

I thought that was for the di7... then I actually s-p-e-l-l-e-d out the clue and it worked! Thanks .
Thanks Jen. I was having trouble, too.

You're not the only one. The simplest words and I just can't see them....
I can't believe rasa isn't part of this puzzle... as in "tabula rasa".
oh, I do not like this new look - giving me a headache... what happened? more threats from mattel?
from Hasbro! :o(
hugabugs - are you serious? I guess the last batch of changes wasn't enough? Goofs!
I think the threats are stupid... so what if the tiles looked like a popular word game? If anything it would make linguiphiles like us want to buy the games.
He even had to change the tile counts
I guess their legal department has nothing better to do.
good morning people any clues today to give
Good Morning from Cape Cod Mass.
they either have nothing better to do or they are just jealous. has anyone checked their stats? i went from 81 yesterday to 39 today. wow, havent jumped like that since i first started. Well, i am done now. anyone need comething before i get outta here?
Hi: I am rather new at this game. What does it mean when you get the Qu in the corner? How can that be used? Thanks Rah Rah
welcome rahrah, the qu isnt used today, so it just is taking up the space.
Normally the qu is followed by the rest of the word. In today's case, the qu doesn't begin any word.
Good job begrery - have a good day!
Thank you very much. Now I am not so confused. Thanx again.
mornin rahrah.......

thats cool thanks for what you gave me anyway
Ooh, the grid looks different again
yeah, it's horrible.
Hi everyone...Ci 8/50 clue please?
plural of some fruit
Aah, it's because Dr_God was getting grief from Hasbro 'cos the tiles (allegedly) still looked too much like Scrabble tiles.
whats up with the grid?
i see.....
I'm stuck on Ci 8/50 also, but that clue didn't really help - anyone else?
do you already have CI 6/24? If so, pluralize it for CI 8/50
acidic fruit
thanks I get it, not as complicated as I thought
I understood the clue so that must mean it was easy cause it always takes me forever to get the clues thanks good clue fruit i totally got it on the first try thanks again!

lianakate...you can always look at my rating to feel better... : ) I rarely have time to finish a puzzle & enjoy reading the chat too much...
Iianakate - I hope you are o.k.!
i was awakened with a horrible pain in abdomen..Cold sweat just dripping..vomiting.. The ambulance Emt s gave me aspirin..and hooked me up to all kinds of paraphernaila..said i was having a heart attack..I said NOT
lianakate, was it really a heart attack? Are you ok?
..all kinds of tests and demoral..which made me out of it and not able to answer questions..Yuck. Oxygen..IV's..Cat scans up the whazoo...just all kinds of horrid things.
I'm no doctor, but abdomen pain doesn't spell heart attack to me ..
sounds more like food poisoning
said i had gall stone, kidney stone, ..but they thought appendicitis..wasnt any of those..(I think)..finally after 3 days of torture they said there was something amiss with my lower intestines..and I have to go back to surgeon for follow up, and ultra sounds..NO FOOD FOR 3 DAYS..ack...LOL.
Tor..women present heart attacks differently then men..Usually with those symptoms..
oh my...you poor baby!
can you eat anything at all? Soup? or is it strickly fluid type thing?
my honey rushed bac k from Mobile..where he is working claims on hurricanes..when docs called. made the trip in 5 hours..I was so glad to see him..he left last night for work again..and I tell you..I am actually afraid to be alone now..LOL..what a sissy
there's nothing wrong with not wanting to be alone... it's a saftey thing, I understand
Niam..i can eat now..just stick to diabetic diiet..and no salt..Yuck. Am weak as a dishrag..I dont think i can play game..but wanted to check board..(its UGLY)
no you aren't I went through a similar feeling when I thought I was a gonner once. Just keep talking to yourself that you will be ok
Well, thank God it wasn't a heart attack. That's not sissy to want your dude while you're in such a state .. Hope you feel better soon ..
This one might tax you too much. It's a stinker ..
thank you ALL..I appreciate your kindness. Makes me feel not so alone.. (weak smile..LOL)..i found 88 words and I am done..unless i feel better later. Honey and his son messed up my house..ACK..
will be thinking of you lianakate and hope you get better fast
lianakate, I hope things will turn out well for you... can to take vitamins to try to get some strength back?
LOL..Tor.."my dude"..he is a former force recon marine..and he is a bigger wuss than I am..when they had to do a cut down for my IV..cause all veins were used already..he almost fainted..made me laugh..(weakly, of course..LOL)
lianakate - we'll be thinking of you...take care of yourself...
hokey dokey..am going to lie down with warm fuzzy feeling, thanks to all of you.
could someone give me another clue for the di8/50 - I've seen the earlier clues but still can't get it ..... it's my last d word
Lianakate- oh my goodness, i just read it I'm so glad you're ok! I'm an EMT and we actually aren't to diagnose, so shame on them for getting you all worked up! So glad you are feeling better
Hi everyone! I'm back! Lianakate, I hope you feel better real soon!
does anyone have a clue for di8/50
hi all and is it just me or is the grid looking different 2day?
I logged in & thought that my eyes had gone funny
Dr. God had to change the grid because Hasbro was leaning on him.
thanku @ least it's not just me lol
di8/50 unisexual
greetings! does anyone have a clue for the co 6/24 t/y so very much

hi gem_gem i was looking at it crazy when i first logged on today too!

wordy wise i dont see your clue could you help
lol e_gurl well i was looking and i even refreshed the page lol
haha thats funny
not really just me hehehehehe
could i get another clue for di8/50 still can't get it :)
i could use help on the clue shorty is asking for myself if anyone does not mind
take the d17/32 reverse ce add letter
wordy wise i dont have that word either
ditto on the di8.. found di word for trisexual... with a L no good... another clue pretty please!? :)
the only di word I can find meaning unisexual has 9 letters!!!
me too madhatter... i meant uni not try in last chat comment
madhatter can i get another clue for the one you have cause i dont even have that pretty please
which one ?
the 9 letter word meaning unisexual
di7/36 bishops jurisdiction best i can do on these two words hope it helps
it doesnt really help but thinks for tryin anyway
the 9 letter word isn't in the puzzle but it means unisexual ..... there is a reference to the cannabis plant if that helps!
di 7/36 think catholic church terms
Shorty, di8/50, WorldlyWise had the best clue I can think of. I can't even find that exact word in a dictionary, but if you keep playing with the last few letters you'll get it. It's pronounced almost like the di7/36.
finally got the d8/50 .... monkey typing is a great skill .... thanks for the clues everyone.
unisexual is a clue for di8/50
i dont get the clue to get it someone please help im so far lost
thanks all got the di8/50
ok cause it keeps saying that word doesnt exist in my puzzle but i got the word ill just mess aroud with it and see if i get it
best clue I have seen for the di8 was early this morning... take the Ital. word for God and add it to Darwin's Origin of Sp-----
what about the di9?
it's interesting that when you click the ? for a definition of the d8 word it asks you if you mean the d9 word that isn't in the puzzle!
Maybe I'm wrong but isn't the Di 8/50 a group of churches?
any clues 4me on co 7/32's, so very lost....
lol thanks
sign .... di7 is the church related word
what about ce8/50?
ok well I can't spell so I fell better about it
is there another meaning to di8/50
am just starting the c words ..... 37 words left to find and they all begin with c
im all lost today well really everyday lol
ce8 - hornlike co7 - inferior
robert ce8/50 means hornlike
ovest - one is a 6/21 with another letter at the end and the best I can do on the other is a letter change on an old Chevy model that Ralph Nader didn't like
DI 8/50 = (Ronnie James) DI_ (formerly in Black Sabbath, then headed his own rock/metal group) + (the human) sp_ _ _ _ _
but that would be corneous
doll! lol! will ponder, thank you for your help. :o)
errggg this is irritating i dont know what you peoples clues mean i feel stupid
pleeeeze don't feel stupid egurl! i don't understand many clues either, simple is as simple does.............
All the _ that I put in my clue are letters you need to form the word. The first three letters of the DI 8/50 word is DI__. You need to find one letter to insert there and add it to the second part of the clue I gave to make one long word.
gooddess Thank you...I have been struggling with that for ages!!!!
no problem
i cant help it this game makes ya feel like i did not get enough education or something
e_gurl - just keep working at it you'll eventually find they are easier than they look - sometimes just think outside the box and use the letter counts
egurl, lol! understand completely, i loved english but this game really challenges me and i need lots of help. go to http://www.a2zwordfinder.com/ find the dictionary part where you can type in the first two letters of your word and then add up to how many letters in that series and it'll spit out more words than you can shake a stick at, usually very helpful.
Doll i do and i been playing for months and i has not gotten much easier
FINNALLY I GOT IT PHEW
i already used that lol thats somewhat cheatin and doesnt make the game much fun i like to figure clues and stuff
e_gurl - ovest gave you a really good idea and don't forget to check out what the words mean and sometimes they really will stick in your brain
i agree to the cheatin, on the hard ones thou sometimes it's hard to see you've been looking so long for 'em
yeah i use it but i try to find what i can first
ok, i've been thinking on companion for co 6/24 and my little ol brain is wore out, anyone have another clue for simple me?
id 8 and 9? Hints?
how many words are we looking for today?
ovest sidekick,partner in crime
Hello Fellow Babblers... Query? Did DR_God change the babble pieces on us? Or is this my college catching up on me?
dj, u r awesome, thank you!!!!
heh, new tiles, most definitely. tough puzzle today though.
CO 6/24 = CO + change a vowel in a word meaning injured Also, think of what you would call someone's friends or fellow troublemakers, maybe. hope that helps
thanks goddess!
Eva, Do you think he will give us the option or a vote, these are just hard to read for me (I know, whine whine...)
mtnjock - it's a result of Hasbro(tm) for stating the tiles looked too much like Scrabble(tm) tiles...
mtnjock -- i know Dr God had to change the tiles a while back for legal reasons, so i suspect this is more of the same...
I figured it was something along those lines...
Hello everyone :)
I just wish he'd changed it to something a little easier to use!
*runs and tackles lola* hellooooooooooooooooooo ooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
hiya lola!
coosin!
anyone used the Q yet. still would appreciate knowing how many words today.
no q's
no qu words today!
254 total words today
there are no words with the q in
lshult - 254 words, no "q"s
And to think I'm struggling back on 61!!!!
pmlshult u can go to babblers anonyomous and it will tell u how many
Damn! Just said hi and now dinner is here. Be back in a bit :)
finally found 100 words. can i nap now??
almost, though. I keep seeing "queer."
i meant that in response to you, mtnjock. sorry there was no context to that comment.
What do you think I typed for my first word? I saw it too!
Hi folks :) Welcome to the Babble winter collection '05 :)
ANJ (And Stewie!!!)
does everyone's clock say that there's one minute before the puzzle closes?
ScoutsMom - mine says 11 hours...
no 11 hours left, I keep seeing the word Cheese!
no says 11 hrs
never mind; it just changed back. i'm on egurl's computer today and she's on mine; I'm sure that's the explanation.
Hi Anj. No coffee break one this!!!
Hi Mtn :) What does everyone think of the new look?
whats that suppose to mean whats wrong with my computer
Hi Mu :)
Well, Stewie is my hero!
egurl, you broke it. like the coffee pot.
I love Stewie!! that's awesome!
haha i did not break anything how rude lol
Hi Anj! Stewie's a great icon! in life and in babble
my favorite line from stewie is "Am I to stand around all day swaddled in my own feces? [claps hands] Service, please!"
lol! I was thinking of the new look grid Mtn, but thank you . When I rule the world I shall make your death quick & painless ;)
Hate the new look, tiles are hard to look at..., but understand the reasoning.
...or words to that effect lol :) What the deuce?! I've found a GENUINE er9/60 and the bl**dy grid won't take it }(
I think we all hate them
I just stumbled into ch8, sweet!
*runs and tackles anj* hello there strangeness. :)
They are not easy on the eye, that's for sure. Why do Hasbro have to interfere? I hope this isn't corporate sour grapes again.
Hi EvaNadine :) How are you today dear??
im a tired girl...gave up on this puzzle hours ago...coming back now + then to spot a few more words... gotta sub at the dance studio tonight and im *TIRED!!* *yawn*
It must be, Anj .. These tiles have turned my whole world upside down face .. like the new look, by the way ..
*stealth hug* Hey babe!
Hmmm...see I need to introduce a new fish... The Wrasse of putting the R on the end... lol
EvaN - coffee - now! lol Hi Torg - cheers :) Yeah...weird look to the grid :/ Hi Babe :) missed you. How's the kitchen???
Evadine, I also teach at a dance studio
nice -- which classes do you teach? this year im only teaching jazz, but ive also taught tap, ballet, poms, and a wee bit of hip-hop...
lol, worked all day and it still looks the same! Ready for paint first thing tomorrow tho :)
Hi everyone........I just signed up for babble pro...where are the clues that are sometimes posted here? Any help is appreciated...thanks...:)
Anj I love the icon
Cheers Power :) Kit-ty - the stats are on EXB which is the Babblers Anonymous link on the right. Clues are posted as required, when requested, or because one of us feels the insatiable urge to share the love :)
I teach all those, this year I have 3 hip hop classes. Not my specialty after a few conventions I'm getting better
That's cool Anj, thanks...one more question, for now anyway, how can I get an icon?
we are just a small hometown team so i dont really have much opportunity to learn new stuff myself...and i know my technique is VERY rusty... but i still know what its *supposed* to look like, so i know how to pull it out of the girls. :)
Hi all. Bashing away at the board today. Stumped by the Ce8-50. I have all the other C8s. Any clues??
Kit_ty - best to use Google Image search, or at least that's where I've found most of mine.
Hi judi :)
ok, when did the H become only worth 2 (Dang Hasbro (tm))
Judi, it's all in the bottom left hand corner :)
My town is barely on the map so I understand. We travel to the bay area to take classes. I am taking 75 kids in 2wks to Disneyland to perform. (about 8hr drive)
Judi .... it means horn like ?
Hey babe - feels like a job well done then?? Did anyone notice apart from Izzy???
Thanks for your help Anj...I've only played Babble a few times and I'm already addicted!! So much for housework and hot meals at my house, unless someone else does it...LOL
Mtn, it happened while you weren't looking. Also, we added a bunch of "g" words for fun. Then we all ate some Marmite sandwiches.
but sounds like it could be connected to a robotic brain???
lol - welcome to the Babbleberse Kit_ty :)
very cool! this is only my 3rd year teaching and i dont have any competition kids this year, so i dont really get to take them anywhere...my pom class last year competed, but it was a rough year for them...heh
Why, if this is only a game, to Hasbro feel the need to recalculate tile values in line with letter usage? This is not a virtual reality NASA simulation - it's meant to be fun.
Our routine for Disney is a pom. Kids from 5 to 45. (can you hear me scream)
Yeah, looking forward to banishing the constuction site chic I've been living with/in the past few weeks. Well, there was no cooked meal ready and waiting so.... Missed you babe :')
ScoutsMom, what EVER you have gotten into at work, please share some with me later on tonight, I could use the release.
5 to 45? yipes!
Eva...please tell me that says POM class. It's a little difficult to read...
Anj & Madhatter - your clues made no sense, but I found the word anyway. Oy. ;-)
Awwww *Anj hugs Lola* missed you too :')
ANJ, you read it that way TOO?!?!?!? I was about to ask how her fiance felt about her giving that class.
Mtn, it must be the font. I nearly choked on a peanut M&M...
Mtn, I'm in meetings all day (lunch break right now) and I'm trying to kill time between communiques from G. It's a long stretch of time from now until Saturday. Too long! Too long! I'll do anything to make the time go faster, including (apparently) drink my weight in coffee.
I mean, re-read the message, "it was a rough class for them"
...oh boy. Me next with the plural fish whoever's got it... *sigh*
judi - as long as you found it .... soz the clue's didn't help
LOL! Well I had to read it three times before I figured out what you two were on about! Must be a guy thing! ;)
Lola, I'm sorry. It's not a guy thing. Perhaps for me it's a "hanging out with Mtnjock too often" thing. I don't know what Anj's excuse is, though.
*Anj wipes tears of laughter from his face* Mtn..I hadn't read that far :D
Judi, now that you found the Ce8-50, care to share a clue?
EVA, thank you for the smile of the day!! It may have to replace Jera's quote in my profile.
Scouts, I fear it might be tile-induced myopia ::)
Mtn, I think you should have them both...
HAHA...yes, it is a POM class. and its a bf, not yet a fiance. ;)
Okay. lunch break is over. See you guys later if I get another break. If not, call me later, Mtn.
Gotcha! Will do
Thanx EvaN...and bigger thanx for the yuk :)
Did you meet him in POM class?
LOL!!!!
and if it were the other type, i think the BF might want private lessons. ;)
Ce8-50: The only clue I could find... "Similar to a horn; hornlike".
but judi -- neither "anj" or "mtnjock" are Ce8...
Need clues for the last two 8s. Need Er8-45 and O8-50.
judi, plural of your er7, meaning non - stabile
That's because hornlike and horny are not the same, Evanadine.
ahhh.... ;)
ROFLMAO
LOL!
er8 is a plural of er7 for the o8 think plural of a flower
Um, the only Er7 I have is the one relating to sex/love...horniness, whatever.
Could someone solve the mystery of the hi8/50 for me.A clue would really help.
add a 2nd r, drop o, use the a
...and excuse ME Mr Enable dictionary but ythe horny er6 plus 'ise' is a boner fide word. So there :P
...pun intended :)
Thank you. I was totally missing the 2nd R at the bottom of the puzzle. Macadam - think pecking order for the Hi8.
Hi mom :)
Judi, I had been seeing a different form of the er word, when I stumbled on it. That and the ch8/55
Macadam think of one who inherits and top room of house and you should fine the hi 8
And finally, the O8-50? Anyone? Anyone?
Hi Macadam :)
Brilliant clue! Thank you mu :)
lola: glad to help
Judi, knock the D off the end of your flower and drop a 3 letter ending there...and it's plural, or at least looks that way :)
evening all ;)
Scooooby Dooby Dooo! HI Bobsta :)
hi all..... interesting chatter this afternoon - wish I would have tuned in sooner. From what I gather, today's is a real nasty one. Should I just skip it?????
Hi Anj.I thought the new screen was a Halloween special, ghostly images.Apparently I was wrong.
Hey bobsta! Babe, for the o8 do I need to go to the top i?
hiya Anj, i was thinking of you today, I went into Morrissons this morning and they're doing 2 jars of Nutella for £2!!! needless to say i bought some ;)
Come on in, mamabear ..It's fun FUN I tell you !!!!
Flower? What flower?
No, mamabear, just ANJ and I needing larger fonts and confusing words...
should I just try and get this infamous hi8 out of the way first? Don't get any of the clues though....
hey Lola :)
Hi Mamabear. I think the jury's still out on whether it's the words or the new tiles that are giving us gyp :/
Judi, think funerals, black or****
any clues for ci 8/50 please
I just got both words, from that one clue... LOL
don't bother its a plural for a kind of trees
hi torgone..... i suppose you're done already?
Judi, er, Robert Frost quote for you: "...I'm not off for anywhere at all. Sometimes I wander out of beaten ways Half looking for the or6 Calypso."
Thank you, Mtnjock. Mamabear: Hi-8: My attic is higher than yours.
ok, mousekka, I was hoping for some of them clues!
judi- think hothouse flower :)
Done???? Not today .. Not even close ..
Got the 08-50, thank you.
Babe, yes use the top i for the o8 :)
Thanks to all.Another bites the dust.
Thanks sweetie, got both stupid words :)
The hot house flower has magenta spots.
thanks Judi - my kind of clue! OK I guess if I got the hi 8/50 I am now committed to the 4/4's LOL.... I suppose you all have discussed this already - but this new tile design is not working for me...
...it's not really doing it for me either... :/
any help with the id8?
hello all, is everyone chirpy this evening?
OK becky bourne are you on babble again?! (apologies to regulars)
Hey babe, do you have a Morrisons nearby or do you need me to pop into mine?? ;)
Hey doll! How you doing today?
id8 = a green or yellow or brown mineral consisting of a hydrated silicate; it occurs as crystals in limestone and is used a gemstone
im ok, just wish I could shake this blinking cough, I'm starting to annoy myself lol :-)
I have NO idea how to describe the word other than that last clue ..
Torgone- is the id9 the plural?
tweet tweet :) Hi Jakes :) Mtn - take your id7, move the E from the end to before the C and drop in an i to make a common ending :) See Torg's pots for the def :)
Chirp! Chirp! :-{}
hey anj babe, how are you?
It is indeed, lola ..
Jakes, feeling a bit peckish?? LOL :') Sorry dear. I'm fine thanks - and you??

does anyone know what the little squares are for on the letters and how you score with them. please.
oggy -- read the babble rules at the top right.
not bad anj though I do feel the need for my xmas cd tonight to help me with the grid ;-)
hey oggy, how are you
oggy, those numbers are the points for each letter... 4 letter words you just add em up, for the larger words you add then multiply
oh dear already back to begging, would anyone be kind enough to list the e's please?
jakes im fine and we are having a girl. emma i mean. bit confused with the new scoring. can you help.
ec 4/ 6 ec 4/ 6 ec 5/ 14 er 4/ 4 er 6/ 21 er 7/ 32 er 7/ 32 er 8/ 45 er 4/ 4 es 6/ 21 es 5/ 12 es 4/ 4 eu 4/ 5
oggy, the scoring hasn't changed, just the values of some letters
ok thanks.
Okay, help? Last ones I need and can't figure out: DO 4/5 HI 8/50 OR 4/4 (not the plural metals) SA 7/32 SU 5/14 TA 6/21 (not 14th century Italian card game) UR 5/12 UR 6/21 UR 6/24 and pretty much all the SE's. Guess I'm dense today. Any clues would be awesome.
Goddess - ur6/24: sounds like a aclock question lol Q: Am I a tock? A: No, u..... :)
ur 5&6 An enzyme that catalyzes the hydrolysis of urea to form ammonium carbonate (one is plural)
Could someone please post a list of the stats? I can't decipher babble stats and I can't access swmbos.
any clues fir es's welcome.....please!!
Think 'bodily functions' for your URs =)
Anj, LOL! Great clue, thanks
Hi new to all this !! why are some of the numbers under the letters shaded in and others are not? tnks xx
y/w Goddess :) Judi? I've just gone straight to the stats on EZB...
Also, I'm missing two of the 8 letter words. Could someone post a breakdown of the 8s? Thanks.
jaq... they are not supposed to be, try refreshing
jaq - try hitting f5 - the grid might need to refresh :)
Sorry, Anj. I'm out of the loop. What's EZB?
Thanks. made no diffence!! thought it was something to do with the puzzle. Oh well x
jaq... hold down alt while refreshing
Judi, go here: http://p105.ezboard.com/fbabbl ersanonymousfrm2.showMessage?t opicID=6.topic
right click on the last link under friends of babble. that is babblers anonymous. click general and open the stats link.
oh, my lord, Anj, that clock clue was awesome. I am at your feet.
Judi - that's the Babblers Anonymous site - link on the right. I had no access problems a mo ago :)
forgot to add when you right click click on open in new window so you don't lose babble.
y/w joey. Plenty more wjere that came from, all equally as absurd too :)
Thanks, Anj. That works.
does the ezboard have the clues on it?
I am missing 4 of the 8 letter words. Could someone please help? Thanks. I have: CH8/50 CH8/55 ER8/4 5 HI8/50 ID8/50 OR8/50 RE8 /50 RE8/45

pick again re8/50
thanks mtnjock
oggy, I bet emmas pleased, as for the scoring its the same as before, multiply by 2 for 5 letters, 3 for 6 letters etc. They have just changed the point score for the bigger letters
help! it's says one minute before end of puzzle!!!
OK, its 1:30 PM where I am and it says I have 1 minute left...???
LInda - site just stopped responding for a mo - hit f5
NM...babble had a brainfart guess
there's 9+ hours... don't worry that will go away
i can breathe again . . .
just hit refresh, see wot you mean about tile layout, it is distacting, doesnt take much to do that anyway!
tiles look odd now is that normal?
smaller, welcome to the world of Hasbro Corporate Dogma :/
any hints on the hi 8? Thx
Hi Everyone: Lovely windy rainy day here, I feel soo special esp. to Anj and lola lif u weren't on last night Dr_God sent me a personal message..he flashed thingyed me.....what a babble experience!!:))

Hi speed :) He did what??!!
it was supposed to erase your memory!!
lola ... think Men in Black... you know that flash thingy mabob
thanks anj- on and off the babble all day then the whole world changes poof, resistance must be a sign that I'm old
Hey Guys: Don't ruin my experience with lola and anj always snogging I wanted something!!!
Speed! Did you peek behind his glasses??!!
Oops, knew I'd forgotten something...*grabs Anj and snogs his face off*
sorry speed snogg away, you can just pretend I don't exsist.. I'll just be in the corner... sulking
I'll never tell!!!!
Niamh: I would never leave anyone behind!!:))
myownvenues characteristic of a priest
lol, so what did you do speed, to get dr g to flash his thingy at you then??
oops added e sorry
If u really must know, think it was because I was being dumb....he changed the grid in the middle of the game and since the amounts changed I asked if our scores would be lower than people who had already finished, he had already stated no (missed that post)!!
hi 8... the clue I got earlier was to think of someone who inherits the highest room in a house
Aw speed, still! What an experience hey?! :D
I am missing one of the AU5/12s. Do all 4 start with the same 3 letters? I think the one I'm missing is the last one but I'm not sure.
thanks all got it!
Are there any qu words?
Hi Speed - did you enjoy your flash then? ;) Thanks babe ;)
58 Q words, all 10 letters long ..
Is the Di-8 related to the Di7-36? It it is, I don't see it.
basicdex - no, no Qu words today :)
...will someone please feed the Torgone... lol :)
Thanks. Kept trying to find one, but just thought I was going crazy. Thanks.
Judi - Similar but not related
*Grumble*
Judi - Think "Origin of the Sp*****"
Could I have an A or O list please *hums Jingle bells*
Hey, Torgone.... give me a clue for the Di-8 and I'll let you choose a vein.
mmm...black and white cookies...brain food.
jakes- do you know that all the letter lists are posted on ezb? :)
ok...dont cheat...mean dont consult dictionary...dont pore over for hours....Babble is just good fun...good luck to all..xxx
ANY vein? . . . . .
Wink wink. *throws garlic rope away*
LOL Torgone Just read your Q's for that you can bite my neck.. Anj Dr_God was an experience..!
torgone, if it doesn't hurt, you can even have an artery
Hey! You keep your arteries to yourself, missy! My vein was first in line.
LOL
Anj - your icon is awesome!
Hiya Toes :) Thank you dear How are you today??
Did my last clue make any sense?
If someone gives me a clue for the id8 that helps me to actually find it I'll put the nurses outfit on....
id8 = a green or yellow or brown mineral consisting of a hydrated silicate; it occurs as crystals in limestone and is used a gemstone
Torgone... No. Hurry. Veins fading.
How am I supposed to get a clue with all you TRAMPS bogarting my action????
id 8... id + a vowel + those boxes that milk is delivered to stores in (only not with t use the next best thing)
i + another abbrev for dr. + ra4/4
Lola honey...think id plus hoop plus sounds like notorious gangsters Ronnie & Reggie ;)
Hello? *tap*tap* Is this thing on? Darwin's "Origin of the Sp _ _ _ _ _"
Judi, Judi, Judi, Play Nice, we are NOT tramps, we can all be bit!!!!:))
Finally! For some reason I wanted to put that R in there at first. Sigh. Chomp away, Torgone.
Woohoo! Got it, thanks guys :) Er...do I have to put the outfit on?
Speed - I was just being cheeky. No offense. Hardly any tramps here at all. (And you all know who you are).
lola.. you're fine, be the nurse when you feel like it!
Are you looking at me judi??!! lol!
Someone take a letter to Enable please, begins: Dear S4/5 for brains, Not only will you not allow a perfectly good er9, you're rejecting sauroid as well. Sort your words out now, before I am forced to put a bat up your nightdress. Regards...etc }(
just finished! it's been a long day. i didn't think i would make it today. hopefully we'll have a shorter one tomorrow. but now i've said that it'll most probably be over 400 words!
No Offense I am such a Lady!!! I know you didn't mean me...guessing on who you are talking about with all the snogging going on:)
hey how many words today?
I believe we had a verbal contract lola .. If you did, in fact, find the word as a result, either wholly or partially, of a clue that was posted, then you are bound to fulfill your responsibility under the contract ..
Babe, would another snog make up for the er9??
...no apologies for liking it down & ditrty over here :)
..silly question babe ;)

hahaha Anj... how big is this one today... and whats with the layout?

to be retarded technically means to be hindered... so at times I am... like when I'm trying to get through traffic, or trying to figure out this grid!! ;~)
254 annoying little, medium and biggies...and Hasbro have leant on the good Dr again over the layout.

au6/24
e_gurl, ao6/21 relates to parts of the heart
E_gurl - all the AUs start with the same three letters. You can more or less noodle from there :)
Both ap's are parts of a cathedral
Well, gotta bail, Babblers. I'm throwing in the towel with 148 words.

I hope Babble can cheer me up, my team have just lost in the cup
Too Many Diane hahahaha im sure i only come here for the conversation hahaha
thanks!
oh dear yoink - have another drink!!!
*hands yoink large glass of champers and pats him on the back* :/
Thanks, just what I need!
I'm with you Nordina. At this point, I'll be happy to get all the 8 letter words!
hahaha i choose just to talk.... i am actually a very - shall we say clever... hmmmm no... SOCIAL person hahaha
i only have one 8 letter word and it is the ch 8/50 any clues for the others please
there is another ch 8... same idea
Wow. I'm done. Just before I leave for bowling :)
Cya Fit.. :)
Good job fit one! Let's have another drink to celebrate! *takes another BIG drink*
how is it the same idea
help with any 8 letter words? this is a tough puzzle
I need a hint for cr 6/21 please.
Lupe.. i hope you are saving some for me lol
one refers to people who are picky, the other refers to being more picky
plural of cr5/14
e_gurl - there is a ch6 & ch8 combo. Think of what normally comes after a verse i na song. Then plural :)
ch8 x 2 - both have the same first four letters
I have a ch8/55, plurals of the main catchy bit of a song, or groups of singers.
They all share one cup??
Nordina - We'd have to check with lola... she's the keeper of the drinks...
Small jar; holds liquid (oil or water) Munner
thanks anj... I didn't have the plural of that one!
oh wait i dont think that is the one u needed n/m
Lola... PLEASE may i have some more.... :P
Oh wait . ."lost IN the cup"
result! Niamh :)
*lola cracks another magnum of champers and pours for everyone*
but thats the one i have the one about a verse in a song
Thanks lola . . . don't mind if I do.
cr 6/21 is the first cr- word.
Lola, it's nice of you to provide a magnum, but what's everyone else going to drink? O:-)
e_gurl85, ok... think of picky people and you'll get several big words from that thought
Yoink sweetie, lola's bar is fully stocked, what would you like? ;)
e-gurl the ch8 you have is worth 55.....
when you say picky what do you mean im lost again
Oh, i was meaning that I'd have the magnumm but then no-one else would be provided for ;-)
yeah i just noticed that what is the other ch8 letter word do you know?
if you are given two options then you have a ch___ and you must ch___
*hands yoink magnum of champers..... and straw*
e-gurl - think of another word for select - or to be very selective and you will get two ch8's both worth 50.
Nia that is only 7 letters
Just popped in to struggle some more words from this grid..... I am at work and can not imagine how people do this regularly at work....
that's a 6 a 7 and two 8's
very lost
any hits for the re7 and re8s?
thanks for thinking of us Yoink. manners are important. Cheers!
to get a field goal again and the plural of that
i dont get it what the heck is the other ch 8 not the song one
Just found my last (c/ruddy) C word anyonelse think they were stinkers today?
e_gurl, you must pick, a or b, then you must ch----. you are a ch-----, and there could be multiple ch------
ts 52, my 5-year-old grandson made a goal in soccer and then he made one again.
Mishele507: more picky
Nia ty I finally got it lol
Thanks Munner, that just leaves one re8
yw
its saying the mutliple ch----- is not in the puzzle
To be Babble pro, is it $9.95 monthly or a one time fee?
as the commercial says ch...... moms ch.... Jif
bunny ... one time only
er... there isn't another c for that version... you're getting close though
multiple people who ch----
nice one stillcrazy!
ty Niamh
i got the ch7/36 i figured it thanks
Anyone know if you can change the time zone for the display on babblers anonymous?
I must have taken one too many drinks because this is really making me laugh.
Lupe613 you laughin at how i am or something
Wish I'd know that a few weeks ago, I was being finicky, thought it was a monthly fee. Now I wish I'd paid....one time isn't bad.
*lola tops up lupe's drink to see what will happen next*
Hi everyone I'm new-never played this before
Good luck msjen hehe
Careful MissJen, it will eat your life...
what do the numbers on the letters represent?
welcome miss jen
Hi MissJen, welcome! :)
I'm laughing at the rainbow of clues all come up with at a moment's notice.
can you enter the same word if you see it more than once? I tried and it won't let me
leave now and never return is my best advice
Lupe613: there's no such thing as too many drinks! *hic*
oh thats funny
Thanks Lola - *takes another gulp* it's getting hot in here....
lupe- you can google the word for clues and then google clues given for the word
nope jen just once
i've heard this is very addicting. Boggle and Scrabble are my two favorite games so I imagine this will quickly become a weakness!
Looks like I have returned just in time for drinks (jump with excitement Poms in hand)
Lola - a drink for our new friend Ms. Jen please?
sad when i feel 55 words is good
what do the numbers on the letters represent?
Mischele - welcome to my world - 67 and proud of it!
jen- nice thing is you can leave and log back in and your words are still there- i quit now and then to get a fresh look
i have 126 and not even near finished or found them all
Need help please with the sa 7/36.
mark- each letter has points- like if it is 4 letters that are all ones your score is 4 4 like ch 8 55- means there is a ch word with 8 letters that has a point value of 55
schroeder: did you say...no, wait, that's POMS. whew!
what do all these abbreviations mean? ie sa 7/36
jen- refer to what i wrote to mark
good heavans - i go away to make a cup of tea and by the time I return the bar is open!!!
Well - time to go home. Have a World Series game to prep for... "stumbles off chair* - good night and GO SOX!!
markbowers7 - the numbers on the letters themselves are each letter's point value - like Scrabble
Mishele, i get all that....i've been playing for about a week now. what i'm curious about is today there appears to be numbers on each of the tiles. WHY?
lol scouts
there's a CH word for the person who does the CH ___ ing
there always has been- they just spiffed up the layout
Vivyan....oh yeah...i guess they just changed the format today.... me so stupid!
i can't find the CH 8 this is harder than I thought!
heres the a's ao 6/ 21 ap 4/ 5 ap 5/ 12 ar 4/ 6 ar 4/ 5 ar 4/ 5 ar 5/ 12 ar 4/ 4 ar 4/ 5 ar 5/ 12 ar 4/ 4 ar 5/ 10 au 4/ 5 au 5/ 12 au 5/ 12 au 5/ 12 au 5/ 12 au 6/ 24
MissJen, not to worry you but there are 3 ch8s
three ch8s? damn i thought i was good with 2... help?
Victory is mine!! Haha a2z - you will rue the day you crossed my path Well go on, start rueing!
Mishele507, which do you have?
i have the music one and the jiffy one
CH8 means that there is an 8 letter word that begins with CH, right?
jiffy one?
there's a music ch8?
yes jen- there is a link to the far right for babblers anonymous- there is a word list under the general discussion
Mishele, there are 2 jiffy ones
i have one that rhymes with losers
try iers
i got the music one....now i just need to know what the jiffy one is
Ok, a person who does that but is more selective is ch__
like the commercial for Jiff peanut butter.
Ch---- moms ch---- jif then add for three more words
ty ty ty
I guess that's a US thing, I don't know it
Babe...you haven't finished have you?
make that 4 more words
i gots all 3 ch8's!!
one 6, two 7's and 2 eights for the ch we were talking about
and 55 words is all i got...and i gotta go.... :(
Lo, yes. Just enjoying a quiet Pimms & lemonade in the corner on my own :'(
i am up to 58 and need a break- be back later for a fresh view
anj you know you should never drink alone....
Any hints for the ra6 and ra7?
Woohoo!!! Well done babe! *lola dons fishnets, grabs Anj and snogs his face off*
Thanks Cath, but I think I missed the party :) lol
...now that's more like it :) The custard tub beckons :D
Anj so did i - I went to make a cup of tea and when I cam back they were all on the champers
any leads on ID 9?
ts52 - think of a pop grup fronted by Andy Bell? ...and drop the capital E. add an s for a plural
I'm going to be a while yet babe. Seems thoughts of a car are distracting me a bit tonight....
Anj did you find this one easy or is it cos I's senile and thick I didn't like it very much ? Not finished yet either
Mu, I didn't use a2z at all. Looked in a dictionary for a few spellings. Found at least 2 good words which Enable is rejecting, and monkeyed the rest. It's getting harder to noodle now a lot of the tile values are the same tho...
Mu I do not know about anj but I find this one mind boggling too..... I think it is that the letters in the grid are a less common combination... but thanks to no Q it is bearable------LOL
what is a2z?
Lo...warm leather seats too :)
did the tile values change.... I was wondering that..??
there is no ID 9 jen
Hi Anj, tonight's recommendation is the All girl Summer Fun Band - does exactly what it says on the tin!
Stop it! lol! :)
Thanks Anj, had to google andy bell, but I got it!
k--still trying to learn to read te word list on that MB
i found a di7 --is that good?
id9 is the plural of id8: a green or yellow or brown mineral consisting of a hydrated silicate; it occurs as crystals in limestone and is used a gemstone
Well, that brings me to 150. Time to call it a night and head home. Catch you all tomorrow!
my bad- id 9 is not on the list on the babblers anonymous
ive never seen a word worth 9 - is there more than one?
Blaze: thanks for the bit of comfort . I had begun to get a bit smug I think but this one has certainly brought me down to earth again> Just goes to show Ones never to old to learn. Still be back for more
It most certainly is on Babblers Anon. Thought I might have goofed, but I checked and it is there.
darleen- googling that isnt giving me help...got anything else?
id 9 IS on the list?!?
later TS :) Yoink, all girl summer fun band?? Is that their name??? I'm listening to Ministry at the moment...
now how the hell did i manage to miss that? sheesh
Actually, id9/66 is on the list. There is no ID with a score of 9 though...
Finding this one difficult..have to resort to a2z think with these high winds won't have power too much longer...
mishele- I googled his exact definition and found ID9
ID9 worked for me
Yep, that's their name, it's indie pop, light hearted stuff for when you need to pretend it's still summer.
It is on the list ... and it is the only 9 letter word... thanks BJ
So now we just need to figure out what the hell it is HELP lol
i found DI7 but DI8 is NOT plural DI7? is that right?
Anj: I must be honest and admit I still resort to AtoZ quite a bit. The old grey cells won't recall at will nowadays, but I am using ti less than I did. (is that good?) lol
Cheers Yoink - will give them a spin. May I recommend Joydrop in return?
just cut and paste the definition given for ID9 in to google.
just*me- i am not getting any id words also- what is AtoZ anyone?
You certainly may, what're they like?
id9/66, two parts, sounds like venerated object, of nuttiness....
brandy jack that is a great clue
ok got he ID's thatnks guys. now what is A2Z
Mishele507: http://www.a2zwordfinder.com/ help with looking up words from their first letter or first 2 or whatever

Brandyjack - yes 3625
A2Z opens up a whole new babble world
Anj - Metasexual or Viberate?

here's a haiku: Babble is tricky But it keeps us coming back we are all suckers
MissJen, it sounds like itcould be used to describe a bitter, contemptuous space rock. It actually means resembling flesh :)

jadaoz - you assume correctly - a whole crapload - 254 to be exact.
I must get to bed, 85 words left but you can't win em all. (or even most of them to be honest)
Woah Lola ... you look hot tonight!! ;-)
Oh my... It looks like it is going to take me a looooong time... Thanks for the number Mamabear
AR5/12 - "Any of various perennial herbs in the arum family, including houseplants such as the anthurium, dieffenbachia, and philodendron and having tiny flowers crowded in a spadix that is subtended by a spathe." Looks like what you take Preparation H for.... Hey MamaBear - go Sox!

Well done NiamH :)
CE8/50 - like a horn. CE7 - pl. of CE6/24 meaning "A pause in a line of verse dictated by sense or natural speech rhythm rather than by metrics."
G'night Lola :)
mtn, confused. I got the di 7 that's "catholic", but you can't pluralize it to make it a di8. what am i missing?
Hi all -- does anyone have clues for the ci's?
cybernan - the type of fruit that oranges, grapefruits are and the pl
Oranges are ci... fruit
jo, ies... makes it plural
and change ec around
I got the di8 before I got the di7... LOL any clues for the ce7?
May I have clues for the er8 and hi8.
DI8 is not *exactly* pl. of the DI7 (church). Extra vowels and different consonant. Monkey typing helped!
thnk,mtn
hi8, the one that you leave your cash to, and live in the upper most part of your house
Thank you, Cypher - can't believe I missed something so easy!
that di 8 doesn't come up with a def in the dictionary... hmmmmmm.........
ER8 is pl. of the ER7/32 meaning not steady.
that di means unisexual
mtn - ce6 & ce7 - phonetic clue: "wearing cufflinks 'says you're a' man of taste! :) add an s for the 7
Charm, thanks got the er, but still working on the hi/8

Temple...aneurysm??
finished. phew. cracks open champagne!
*Anj holds out glass* :) Well done Atalante :)
Wooo! Well done atalante :)
HI everyone. I've come in a 178 words (had a busy day!) Seems I caused some confusion the other day by saying I could see Jewish words in a grid. What I *should* have said was I can 'see' Jewish words.:-( Can I make up for it by offering anyone a portion of today's cooking? Got Banoffee Cream Pie, apple turnovers and chocolate crunchies (see recipe for that at SWMBO's). Think there's a slice or two of chocolate mint cheesecake left, too.
Hello Babblers! I broke my promise to myself to day of no puzzles under 100 words. Been noodling this one all day along and have only TWO words left and they surely have me stumpd. Can anyone help? One is the di 8/ 50 and the other ro4/4 (not the fish eggs, the hollering or the roll call) HELP!!!
Temple, skip the aneurysm, try epilepsy instead. Or at least it looks like that word. Something the NSA probably do (and have) if they see funny lookin' plants in your window :)
Hi Jac :) Hi Swimmy :) Swimmy the ro4/4 - think roster or duty ro....
Swimmy for the di8, take your di7, move the E from the end to just before the C and drop a fresh i in just after the C. Took me an age to noodle that one as it doesn't look right :/
Obviously haven't even so much as glanced at the chat log, sorry if I am asking for an oft asked for clue, i am just very, very tired...
choc mint cheesecake!!??!! OMG!
I've got homemade oatmeal and raisin cookies if anyone wants one :)
chocolate mint cheesecake?????????????? WHERE?????
i have a recipe for margarita cheesecake but have not tried it yet...prefer my liquor in liquid form...
marguerita cheesecake... mmmmmmm my two favourite things in one easy item!! LOL
At Jacula's! *drooling*
I invented the choc mint cheesecake last week. It's a baked one. I'm going to try an unbaked form of it next week. Will post the recipe in SWMBO's soon.
*flops at Jacula's feet* please please post the recipes sometimes! sounds amazing!
Thanks Anj, got the di8 (PHEW!!!) and naturally it has no definition. As to the ro4/4, I have the roll call, the fish eggs and the sound of a crowd, there is one more lacking, any hints?
Will do Atalante.:-)
I haven't got the di8 yet.:-(
Talking of liquor, one of my regular pubs in Bath used to specialise in flavoured vodkas. Dime Bar, Mini Eggs, Peaches'n'Cream, Mint Choc...even, get this, vindaloo!
ro4/4 - no definition in dictionary.com - but take your roll call and change the last letter
Swimmy, try changing your roll call from an A to an i
Anj is right, the di8 doesn't look rioght and it has no difinition. But his clue will give it to you if you follow the instructions EXACTLY LOL
jacula that sounds fabulous...excuse me all, not being rude, but my connection on this old dinosaur is so bad...i set myself a time limit to play tonight..BTW thanks anj, second clue did it
can any1 give me a clue to the sa 7-32 plz
katiekat - fish related to the needlefishes
at your service, Temple ;) Katiecat, which sa7 - top right or bottom left?
Glory Halleluia how did I not see that word!!! Thank you very much, now I can go to BED!!! I wish one of these days I would have time to just hang around the chat log and shmooze. Oh well...
Vindaloo Vodka? YUK! This reminds me, I have been searching for recipes for a Christmas meal to knock 'em dead (not literally!) for a Sikh friend of mine. Her family are vegetarians but the grandparents are lacto-vegetarians (no dairy products or eggs eaten) and the grandfather is also diabetic. Most suitable recipes I can find are Indian meals. LOL. But my friend wants a proper Christmas meal as far as she can do it. Any suggestions will be gratefully recieved on my Recipe thread at SWMBO's.
Swimmy, i'm sure there's a 36 word tiddler in the grid software somewhere lol :) Have fun.
Oh, no that would be too short. About 150 words is ideal, I think...
what is vindaloo?
Temple, about a 6 on the curry Richter Scale :)
Temple Owl - VERY HOT curry!
any hints on the last two ce words 6 and 7 letters?
stillcrazy - see my clue posted at 6:14 pm :)
i have never eaten anything curried...or any indian food.. . but i just acquired indian neighbors...
ce6/24 - A white lead pigment, sometimes used in cosmetics. (Sounds like seeing a trick.)
thanks anj
anj sa7 top left..
Well, Temple Owl, get yourself invited round for a meal. I think you will be pleasantly surprised.
sorry i ment top right lol anj
Katiecat - it's top right - sounds like apologies ;)
Jacula - by complete coincidence, I was looking up lacto-veg meals earlier on for my friend with Crohn's. I've just looked back through the links I found - and myabe this could come in handy - http://www.vegsoc.org/info/xma s.html
need help with the 1st ar5/12, please
ce6--poetry term--sounds like "says you're a" ce7 make it pl.
wow anj tyvm I got them both now
I need help for or8 and su7 please
Atalante: I hve a friend with Crohns Disease, check out these links: http://ccfa.org/info/d iet?LMI=2.5 https://www.kin tera.org/site/pp.asp?c=hwKTJbN 0JwF&b=460531
jacula - the ingriedients look good until they put in the curry - which i know comes in various flavors &7 strengths...but i do not at all like heat in my food
oh thanks Jo! I'm always looking out for new things she can eat - her diet is sooo restricted she gets Fed Up!
So does my friend, CCFA DOT ORG site is really quite a good resource
Thanks, Atalante. I'll check that site out later.
Thanks :) I'll send that link on to her as well, though she probably knows the site inside-out already! Thank goodness for ready availability of gluten-free and milk-free stuff nowadays, or else I don't think she'd eat!
Can any1 give me a list of the a words?
LOL! no kidding, you kind find just about anything these days if you live in a metropolitian area.
Jac, i'm trying to grade curries without mixing up cooking styles... Would you agree with (in order of mild to nuke) masala, tikka, korma, madras, vindaloo, tindaloo, phaal?
Mmmm, spicy food. Indian food. I could go for some masala right about now.
peri, that or8 - take your or6 flower, knock off the D and drop a 3 letter (sounds like plural) ending on it
Anj - I'd agree mostly, but Korma's the mildest to me (because of the coconut, I think).
thanks anj got it finally :-))
Jac, your avatar is my costume this year ;-)
Can any1 give me a list of the a words?
Does anyone know what letter the 9-letter is?
Jo id9 (and i'm STILL fuming about thr er9 that Enable doesn't allow)
the only 8 letter word I found is choruses, can any1 give me a list of the a words?
In all honesty, like Temple Owl, I'm not that fond of burningly hot curry myself, or even too hot a chilli con carne, but curry SMELLS so wonderful! I do a mean beef or chicken Madras, but a milder, fruity version an neighbour in the road where I grew up taught me. She had been in the army in India for many years before marrying and settling down, and had concocted her own version.
ooo, I don't know that one, Anj. maybe I can fume too! ;-p
kkeegs - click on the Babblers Anonymous link to the right (bottom of the Friends of Babble list) and looking under the General heading for the daily stats list. Complete breakdown there :)
Jo - is it? You're going to be Elvira? ope you'll post te pics after Hallowe'en!
kkeggs, would you mind not posting actual words in the log!
I don't have babble pro, it isn't on normal babble
You bet I will! I'm using some of the pieces to go with my son as a traditional vampiress, and he'll be a vampire. He's very excited :-)
Anyone know where I can get black lace material with spiders and webs on it? ASDA have the most wonderful black and red Hallowe'en dress in stock but it's for up to 8-year-olds.:-(
Did that makes sense? We have "adult" costume, and trick or treating costume. LOL
Been to Smiffy's have you, Jo? :-) Great place for costumes and wigs etc.
You don't need babble pro - kkeegs. There is a hyperlink to the far right of the grid, under the title "friends of babble." Anyone can access the message board.
Yes, Jo, I get your drift.;-)
I don't know that one, I ordered parts online, and the rest from a party / costume store.
get some black netting material and plonk some toy spiders and glue some webs onto it with fabric paint / fabric glue stuff
OOoooo. Got the id9! Yea!
kkeegs - I didn't realise that - try this: http://p105.ezboard.com /bbabblersanonymous make sure there are no spaces when you paste it into the browser as the log splits words greater than 30 characters long
Anj thanks for the help1!!
I could do, Atalante, but the material on the kiddy's dress is so nice, I'm almost tempted to buy a few of them and cut them up to make an adult-sized dress.
he he good idea! asda kiddie clothes are lovely, though I haven't seen that one yet
Jac, you could just squeeze into the kiddies dress. I'm sure Paul will thank me for that suggestion ;)
Atalante - It's a Gothic style dress in red satin with a middle inlet and cuffs of the black web and spider lace.
Yea, I could do, Anj! ROFLOL. He probably will thank you for that suggestion.;-)
any help for both the co 7/32 ones?
sounds wonderful! If only I had an 8 year old child to dress up in such a thing ...
have there been any clues for id9? love a helping hand here!
stillcrazy - they are soundalikes: - one means rougher - other pirate, bucaneer type of thing
I got the first co 7/32 but still need the second one
the id9 is another name for a funky type of rock called vesuvianite
Helenary - plural of id8/50 - a green or yellow or brown mineral consisting of a hydrated silicate; it occurs as crystals in limestone and is used a gemstone. Also known as vesuvianite.
helenary, breaks down asd follows: - i3 - Billy I...with the sneer, but without the L - letter tha sounds like big blue wet thing with fish in - ra5/10 that means levels to the ground, demolishes :)
Anj - Thanks for those two 'co' clues. That just leaves me a co6/24 to find in the c's.
thank you v much Jac and Atalante..where do you know such things?????
Jac, plural of your cr5/14 :)
co 6/24 is a partner in crime
co 6/24 - buddy, partner
or parner in anything
LOL! ignore me Jac - can't see straight :) Lola :) Are you still out there babe??
co 7/32 (second one) - pirate or pirate ship

Good evening and good luck everyone -- I congratulate anyone who is able to finish this one without consulting a2z!
Cybernan - Got it! Thanks!
CO 7/32 : the kind of aircraft that Pappy Boyington flew in the Pacific.!
Have to leave now with only 92 words, got a late start today, but must go watch the world series - GO SOX!!!

rofl means rolling on floor laughing
ah ah
whats a clue for id9/66
Anj - Do you think an 'emoticons' thread explaining the various ROFLOLs and ROFLOLPMP's etc., might be in order at SWMBO's?
plural of the id 8/50
I dont have the 8/50 so that doesnt help
Algh, the propellor version flown by the marines & navy? Radial engine, crooked wings to get prop clearance. I was thinking of the A7 and the F8 jets
Yay, 7 to go! I'm on the home stretch! Great idea Jacs! :)
cr6/21 - can't find it.:-(
Jac, you know your id9? lose the ido :)
Lola - I still have 64 words to go. My excuse is that I've been looking after a 10-year-old (P's daughter) today. However, that excuse doesn't wash 'cos she was no trouble. She did have to use my computer to get on with her half-term homework though.... LOL.
Thanks Anj!
Jacs- I spent the whole day prepping the kitchen walls for painting...er...later today! :)
Anj. Yep!! they were referred to as "gull winged". Army Air Corp had them originally, but they left a little to be desired for carrier service, do the Marines inherited them(sort of).
What colour are you going to paint them, Lola?
I keep seeing all these clues for id 8/50, but isn't there a di 8/50 also? Clue?
*so*
Who's been to Cape Cod Mass? Hi from Rah Rah
The colour is called aloe vera. Sort of a soft aquamarine. And one wall a muted lime green...hope they go together :/
Jammersbabe - I haven't got the di8 either, despite all the clues.
the id 9 is another name for a rock called vesuvianite. If you Google vesuvianite you will find it
I have been to Cape Cod many times....grew up in Lynn Mass but am in Colorado now
I am struggling with the co partner/buddy one. Clue??
got the id 9 long ago and the id 8...looking for the di 8/50
Been to Vail, Been to Aspen, trade ya.
born with male and female organs
Thanks anyway Jacula
third letter is the 8th letter of the alphabet helen
Lola - Green's a prevalent colour in my house, in fact, has been in all of my houses (3). Eau de Nil used to be a particular favourite. My present kitchen is cream, hint of lemon (more nicotine these days - must wash walls!), burnt orange and forest (Mini Cooper) green. Sounds horrible but looks good.
helenary - think any p... in a storm, swap the p for a H and put behind the co :)
wow nice clue anj
OK clues for di8 Have we all got the di7??
Yes, got the bishpric, Anj. Go on....

Oh no, that sounds lovely! I've never used green before. Always tend to go for blues and lilacs but this kitchen is a bit dated so I wanted something fresh.
Hi everybody.
Hi there!
Hello ohromujici.
Atalante on di8 TY TY TY
Atalante, unless you're talking about Ronnie James Di*, I can't think of the band. Am flagging.:-(
yes yes Jacula - that one! then add the missing letters from the sp----- word. It works - honest!
Atalante's clue is a goody. Mine is just take the di7, move the E from the end to before the C and drop a new i in after the C :)
I got confused trying to describe all the e's and c's and stuff :)
thankx for help with that bl---- co word
YAY!!! I'm done :) Now, should I bother going to sleep or should I just start painting now??
Anj - your clue got it for me. Thanks. Thanks for your help too, Atalante.
paint
its a stupid word. spelt wrong!
all right, lola *applauds*
I agree, Atalante, and I look like your avatar now.:-/
Cheers for Lola finishing but I vote she should sleep before she starts painting.
YES YES YES!!!! Mega Thanks to all of you!!
Thanks temple! I would take a bow but this outfit doesn't really allow for it :)
Lola - your family may well wake up to find a Babble grid on the kitchen walls if you carry on now. They might also be knocked out by paint fumes unless you're using a low-odour paint.
Yaaaay! Woot woot! *applause from the gallery* Well done Lo :) *cabin boy rushes on with large bouquet*
Anj - whaddya mean, 'cabin boy'? I thought you were captain of Lola's ship?
I love my icon – its sooo appropriate most of the time!
*lola takes flowers and sends cabin boy back to tell Anj not to send a boy to do a mans job*
*Anj trots off to do mans job* Sorry babe, I was just getting into costume ;)
LOL, Lola. You tel 'im, girl!
Hey-while Anj is off doing a man's job, can one of you lovely ladies tell me if the QU in the top of the puzzle is used in any of the words? THanks.
Oh good, hope it was the pirate one ;)
need ar5/12, please got the dry" or "shape" one
No, the 'qu' is not used.
Thanks, Jac.
also need au's, got the halos
...it's the leather pirate one with the quick release buckles ;)
Thought i was finished with my di's..seems i need one more di 6/24. I have the one meaning "device for"
LOL! Quick release buckles?!?!?
gnubee, all the au words start with the same 3 letters for 2 more 5/12s, chnage the 2nd A for an E, then change the S for an i
Jammers, have you got the one meaning more dodgy situation?
Lola - perhaps they are velcroed, or floating on air??? LOL.
Just making it easy for you Lola ;)
No, Anj i don't think so
Thanks, Anj, got them
Jammersbabe, do you have the plural of the device?
Ah, and considerate too... ;)
yes thats the one I have di 6/24... I am looking for another di 6/24
ok, I'm off! good luck and night all!!
Jammers, take your singluar of that device and drop an i in after the C
'nite atalante :)

hi 8 word is a person who inherits + the highest room in a house
helenary, there's a hi4 - opposite of loes ;) There's a hi8 which sounds like saying 'my roofspace is above yours'
hi kids
Hi Boreetos :)
helloo0oo boreetos!
Thank you so much
hello, would anyone be kind enough to share a clue for hte co 7/32??? t/y
sorry i just realized there are two, i have the rough one
ovest A pirate, especially along the Barbary Coast
niam and anj..fabulous..got it with yoour help
CO7 - a Barbary pirate. ay-ay, mateys.
ovest, a pirate ship or a Black Sheep airplane
ovest, english ford car, Vaught F4u or A7 fighter, or pirate type swashbuckling chappy :)
no problem... glad it helped
Just been away seeing to a little girl who was feeling sick. Think she just got up too quick to go to bathroom.
Ok you clever people..whats the info on ch 8/55?
Jac?? are you at work??
wow, you guys are awesome, now i'll see if my brain can figure it out. black sheep as in an old john wayne movie! ha
ch 8/55 the repeated part of a song plural
No, Anj. At home. It was P's daughter I was talking about.
CH8/55 - do you know all the verses or ******** of the national anthem? More than one hallelujah!
ch 8/55 is plural singers
GOT IT!! Thanx
oh right...sorry, brain is off on one. Hope she's ok...
What me and my daughter (aged 18) would like to know is why aren't 'resit' and 'resat' allowed? It's what happens to you when you have to retake exams at college or uni!
ok, hate to seem dense but now that i've got an education on barbary pirates and thomas jefferson, i'm still blinking................
I've noticed that quite a few words in my unabridged dictionary are not allowed in this game
What are you blinking over Ovest? A co7/32 by any chance?
yes, jacula, quite :o)
ovest... did you figure out the word or are you blinking because you didn't figure out the word?
ovest - Google Vought A7 :)
Pirate - sounds like your rough + oxygen to breathe
lol, niamh, because i haven't figured it out. i can sew a quilt top faster than finish a puzzle!
clue for ce 8/50 please
ovest how bout center of an apple (minus the e) + lighter than ____
ok, sorry about that. what did i miss? hmmm. ok: Hi Anj! Heelllooo Niamh! and yeah, a pirate. ok, caught up.
Anj!! t/y oh so very much
and a big t/y to all you wonderful people so willing to help.......
Anj - just \Googled that myself to see what you were on about, even though I'd got that word anyway! Good clue! Prob. for me is, whenever I see that word I keep thinking Johnny Depp, Pirates of the Carribean. PHWOAR! Oh God! P's gonna kill me! LOL.
Niamh, great clue, thanks 2 u2!
so ovest do you sew a lot of quilts? hand sewn or machine? either way that's a wonderful trait!
what's up with the new letters?
Helloo all. Only two to get. Simply can not see that di8, and can't find the ur5/12 either. Ideas anyone?
your welcome ovest... glad you figured that out!
Niamh, machine, i'd never finish if it was by hand, however i do hand applique as well. very rewarding. a friend said great way to use scraps! ha, gr8t way to spend lots of money is more like it. but their heirlooms so that's ok.
Onyx - New letters are because Dr_God got hassled by hasbro again.
very cool, also a great way to relax, I've been trying to teach myself how to knit, that's fun too
thanks jacula, my eyes had trouble seeing at the begining
bbl. stupid work...
ovest - I used to do applique and patchwork back in the 70s. Shouldn't cost you more than the cotton to sew 'em up with, oh and the padding if you need any.
Niamh, do you quilt? i tried knitting when my youngest was 2, not a good idea, haven't tried since, 18 yrs later. would love to learn though.
I have tried to do some quilting, I'm not very good at it though. I sew a lot and crochet.
Knitting's easy, as it crochet. I notice both are coming back 'into fashion' again. Embroidery will be the next thing to come back into fashion.
jacula, well these days there's much more expense. i do the top and my creativity gets bored after that so i pay to have them quilted, big$$$$. basically a dbl size quilt can cost about 250-over 400 by the time your done.
Are you in USA Ovest?
I can do some embroidering, I've been teaching myself that too.... books are wonderful things
the biggest thing to quilting is an accurate seam, if you want to learn i would highly recommend a class and a small quick project so you feel good about the accomplishment
any clues for co 7/32?
jacula, yes, is it cheaper there? i pay anywhere from 8-12.00 a yard for fabric.
hand embroidery or machine?
Jammersbabe, there are two co 7/32's one is the one we were just talking about and the other means rougher
I hand-knitted a poncho for a friend in New York earlier in the year for her birthday. It was a great hit over there, but, when we enquired if her friends wanted copies, they weren't prepared to pay the price for materials, work and postage. Oh well, if they want inferior work from chain stores, fair play to them but my friend's poncho will outlive both of us.
hey Jammersbabe, think of WWII fighter planes
hand... it's rewarding but painstaking
Ovest - I was talking about hand embroidering. I can't see the point in machine embroidering, unless for profit.
Jac, nothing like a swing in the rigging dear :) Right, I need to sleep :) Have fun y'all. Back tomorrow, er today... lol :)
Ovest - I have no idea what it would cost to have quilt-stuffing done here in UK. I've always done it all myself. Sorry!
my mom bought a machine that embroiders for her... I think she has more trouble with it than I've ever had with my little needle!
jacula, i agree, people aren't willing to pay for quality and it's a shame
Night Anj. Sweat dreams. LOL.
Good night, Anj. Sweat dreams.
Niamh, the cool thing with hand is all the dimensional you can add, especially with ribbons. I have done both, i like the artistry of hand much better
I started doing a lot of my own sewing because I didn't want to pay for the poor quality they sell in the stores
Well. Ovest, it's a buy now pay later, cut and run, throwaway society now. No 'make do and mend' or companies that take pride in the length of time their products last (no profit in that).:-(((
Niamh, i agree, it's getting harder and harder to find nice quality clothing, besides the embellishments make it unique as well
I haven't tried using ribbon... good idea (the book I'm learning from is really really old, I wonder if they had ribbon back then? lol)
what's sad is you pay cheap you get cheap and it won't last.
Good night all. I am wimping out at 100 words, again.
So does everyone still hate the new tiles? :)
check out the library for ribbon embroidery or go online to half.com, the books are very reasonable. I'm sure they had ribbon but it was probably too spendy. you can do all kinds on wonderful flowers and such with ribbon.
Maybe if the companies that makes clothes showed their employees how to sew a straight seam and how to FINISH OFF, we might have clothes that last. Lessons in how to sew on a button properly might also be in order. Forgive me the rant; my grandfather (who taught me to sew) was a master tailor and theatre costume maker.
i'm not sure if i hate the new tiles or not. i just logged on and the score for each letter is distracting me.
any hints for ANY of the es's??? please heelp me!!!
Looks good to me, any way to make them interactive? i.e. press a letter get a letter?
Hi God. I don't hate them but I like the old ones better. -Ohromujici
hate is a very strong word Dr God... I don't like them... at all!
me too
jacula, what an awesome heritage! i just bought new towels and after one washing the seams are coming undone and they were expensive! go figure!
HATING the new tiles...distracting.
Change is good.
Hi Jamie, erm, Dr_God. I can get used to the tiles. If you're getting hassle from hasbro I can even deal with round or triangular tiles if necessary. It's not a prob. Keep on keeping on!
Dr_God - it takes a little getting used to,but we're loyal, faithful, addicted babblers.
well i've only played a week so the new tiles aren't bothering me. thanks for all your work
not always
or the hi 8. c'mon guys!!!
do not like the new tiles
I could take them or leave them, Dr_God ..
robert - hello - ello - lo - o off-white color seductive, sensual, passionate will that get you started?
robert240, sorry we are all talking to God.... Hi 8 a person who inherits + highest room in a house
Got the co 7/32 (pirate) Looking for the other
I came up with another design, and remarkably jen came up with the exact same design. So I think I'll try switching them again. I agree with most of you - the numbers are just too distracting.
Torgone! May your nose grow long! You could never leave the tiles! (Not without trying to find words from them.) ROFLOL.
charm dear, are these the es's??
i agree with sweetie about making the tiles interactive. when i first started babbling i wanted to click the tiles to make my words. i must really be getting lazy if i dont want to take my hand off the mouse to type!!!
So, what's the new design, Dr_God?
Robert, love, yes. I think there are 13 e's.
You're right as always, Jac .. I'll never leave them .. But, yeah, the numbers could be less conspicuous ..
Interactive tiles? Oh my goodness!
ty all and for the record, i like the new letters dr.
yes the numbers are to distracting
I write the grid down on paper anyway - a capital letter and a number down at the right. Makes no diff. to me in the end. LOL.
There's a * in the top r/h corner to show any tiles no words come from (in my written grid).
Well, it's just a thought. But being some-what experienced with HTML/JAVA/PHP it really wouldn't be that difficult to attach the image of the tile to the keypad. But like I said, it's only a suggestion. I think Dr_God is doing a fantastic job with this and we all owe our thanks. <clapping>....</clapping>
i never thought of doing that...sure would make things easier since i'm always trying to make words come from the letters that are useless only to remind myself minutes later to leave that letter alone!
Personally, I think interactive tiles would spoil the fun.
I have just come in to this conversation... I like the good old type it in method....(ducking the haddock)... the new tiles are a bit NEW -- I someitmes wonder if this is a psychological experiment.... (oooo)
can i get a hint for the ao word
i must have total brain blockage for the es's
I don't know about interactive tiles... I'm fine with typing... but if that's how to play the new babble I won't be able to resist
anjel. . . for the ao word, listen to your HEART
ao word had to do with the heart
Blaze - glad to catch up with you. Was it you I confused a day or so ago by sayin I'd seen Jewish words in the grid? I should have said I had 'seen' Jewish words in the grid. They weren't actually there! Sorry about that.
Now getting the word list to move indepentantly of the grid would be greatly appreciated....
boy you think being in nursing that would have hit me like a heart attack i feel so duh THANKS
Jac Is was not me who was confused.... I thought you just ment they were words with out endings....LOL
E4/6 - if you yell into a valley, your voice comes back to you. E4/6 - an off-white color. Er6 & 7 - having to do with sex, passion. Er 7 & 8 - unsteady. E4/4 - to e4/4 (pl) is human ....
thanks charm, i have all the er's , i need the es's!
Es6/21 - your date is your ****** to dinner.
i love you charm and i am a dope
up6/24 anyone? Clue please.
Es5/12 - Scots for tax. Drop a consonant from the dinner date word. Sounds like the races where Eliza Doolittle yelled "move yer bloomin' arse...."
Es4/4 - more than one "S".
Jac plural of 4/6
up... start with the 4 and make it plural? = A deciduous tree (Antiaris toxicaria) of tropical Africa and Asia that yields a latex used as an arrow poison.
UP6 is pl of the up4 meaning "A deciduous tree (Antiaris toxicaria) of tropical Africa and Asia that yields a latex used as an arrow poison."
charm! gr8t movie :o)
I'm confused... I have both the up words and the def's I'm getting when I click on the ?s are completely different. is one actually a plural of the other? or does it just really look like it?
would someone mind telling me how the player rankings are pointed, i read what's on the page but......
Niamh, I get the same def.s when I click on the ? for both up-words.
Thanks for the clues - got the up words now. Rankings? How are they done? Only Dr_God know! AAAAARGH!
so does that mean just play and don't try to figure it out? lol!
Rankings, shmankings. I haven't done a puzzle in 10 days and have moved from 150's to 42. Gee, maybe I should stop doing puzzles??
ok... now I'm really confused... maybe I hit the wrong ? the first time thank you!!
ovest - Correct!!
Ok. Instead of going with the new design, I decided to stick with the current design, but lighten up the numbers. I think I may have made them *too* light, however. Hold down "option" or "alt" hit those refresh buttons, folks, and let me know what you think.
thanks torgone--no worries :o)
They look fine to me, Jamie.
I think that's much better Dr. God... thank you
hard to see dr god
*squinting squinting*
works for me, thanks dr.
All's good on the West coast front thank you
Me like!
better for me . thank you
ArtLaddy - now you sound like 'my uvver 'arf'. Stop bragging! LOL. While you're here, Dr_God - can I just ask how come it is that we every dayers who finish the grids end up further down the ranking than our partners who almost never play???
I think that's better .. The letters stand out better for quick scanning ..
Let me know if you guys have to squint too hard to see the numbers. I don't want to cause any brain damage.
Too late!!!!!!
To late we are babble damaged......LOL
oldies NEED their reading specs ON.
Jacula- It's not how often you play, it's how well you've averaged in the past 30 days.
Some may ask you, Dr_God, if you work for an optician. LOL. Not me... yet. But please try to answer my pevious question.
No bragging, Jac. The rankings are screwy. Dr. G...help? Dr. G the numbers hardly show at all now. You need some more contrast. Remember your art classes??
How wel you've averaged? So finishing almost every day doesn't count? GRRR! Getting the rolling pin and the whip out now....LOL.
I think if there were more contrast the numbers would become distracting again...
letters are great - numbers disapear into the background
I agree, Jac. The more I do puzzles (and I finish them ), the LOWER my rank is. The fewer I do, the higher.
Have no fear, rankings lovers, I have plans to revamp the Rankings page to reward the addicts for their efforts. ;)
Dr_G Will that involve fish of any kind ????
Hear the music from that old UK series, 'SOAP' folks. Will Dr_God get out alive from the inquisition twixt his old art teacher and a pushy vampire? If he doesn't, will he have died laughing?
I like the idea of making the word list seperate though... sometimes I'm trying to compare my list with Bradyjacks list and someone posts to the log and I loose where I was! GRRR
Just do what I do and turn off the log....
hey.... that's an idea, but I like being social, I guess I could just turn it back on when I'm done.
Good one, Jac! (as she evilly posts, messing up Niamh's work....)
Teehee, ArtLady. And, Jack, stop being so anti-social!
artlady, were you posting just for me? I feel so loved (rotfl!!)
You betcha, N! and...GO SOX!!
Ok, Babblers. One more time. Force reload those pages and check out the newest of the new tiles. I darkened up the number background and lightened the number text.
Niamh - where's WA in US? Hate to seem ignorant, but that stste escapes me right now unless it's western Arizona.
Clue please for RA 6 thank you
Washinton is on the west coast, above California and Oregon... right next to Canada
Looks good from here....
Jacula It is right below BC Canada... where I am
Still looks fine to me, Jamie. Doesn't help the fact that there's not long to go on the grid and I still have 27 words left to find though!
you do great work Doc!!
Does anyone have a clue for UR6/21 or UR6/24?
need any clues Jac?
I still have 117 but am giving up soon in lieu of TV show
As Anj said at SWMBO's, Dr_God has created 'a beautiful monster'.
niamh I need a clue for ra 6
ur 6/21 An enzyme that catalyzes the hydrolysis of urea to form ammonium carbonate
My only suggestion would be a slightly bolder font for the letters ..
ra 6 & 7 The act of scraping, or erasing; erasure; obliteration
Thank you Niamh.... I am off now until new puzzle time....
clues for the ID's please?
What have I left to find? Lots of 'se's', and sa 5/12 & 7/32, an sc5/14, and si5/12 and 6/21 tht follows it. A fe to's and a tr4/5 that is not the opposite of 'lie'. Some ra's and an re6/21.
ur 6/24 is a medical term who's definition includes the word...
Jamie, I guess my old eyes are failing...looks almost the same?
Thanks Niahm, my eyes are starting to weaken over the u's
Artlady - DO NOT EVER admit your eyes might be failing to an old art student!!!!
any clues for the di 8/50? I have the others...
that's better dr god
not if you are Picasso Jacula lol
sa 5/12 = A many-stringed lute of northern India that is played with a plectrum sa 7/32 = Any of several offshore marine fishes of the family Scomberesocidae, related to the needlefishes more coming....
It's the switching between the laptop screen and the TV screen. It's straining my eyes.... di?? my last word....beg, beg.
di8/50 clue - from Anj - take the di7, move the E from the end to before the C and drop a new i in after the C .
artlady... someone gave the clue Darwin's origin of the sp____ for that word
sc 5/14 = a variant spelling of a young haddock si 5/12 = number six at dice (plural) or... si 5/12 = title of respect used by the French. should I keep going?
Thanks, Jac and Niamh. That is one odd word--had to look it up. Ok, bottom of the 8th, Sox ahead by one...off to the game without Babble distraction. It's been real!
Hey folks, I'm dyin' here! Clues for the I's? Thanks.
si 6/21 = title of respect used by the French. (plural) tr 4/5 = to step on
the I's Greek Mythology. The rarefied fluid said to run in the veins of the gods. Pathology. A watery, acrid discharge from a wound or ulcer (well that's two of em anyway)
re 6/21 to employ again to 4 & 5 part of the Hebrew Bible I'm not really sure where to go from here, or if I'm becoming annoying, so I'm gonna quit for now
Any help on the sa7/32? I can't find it!
Thanks, Niamh! How about a few clues for the id's? Jane
sfneil Any of several offshore marine fishes of the family Scomberesocidae
