H 7/36
T8/45
Morning dear gang :D Missed you the last few days. Work - nothing wrong with it, but it takes up way too much of my free time ;)
Morning Sprite
good morning sprite and all
Hi sprite! (*hug*) you didn't miss much yesterday -- 31 words grid today is making up for it though! ;D
I did yesterday's grid in the afternoon and had fun, but this is better :)
Ya know, this is such a great time of the evening -- quiet house, cup of tea, and babbling while listening to christmas music with my pup sleeping next to the monitor. Pretty darn nice. :)
*hug for Woulf*
Hey Sprite. I know ... that darn work interferes with so much! :)
p/8 45
H7/32
you got the life luvmypom
p/8 50
luvmypom: it is early morning here, and I have to get my kids moving, clad, fed and off to school. But even then is babbling with you all fun :)
Sorry for delay folks. Was just looking for words.... seems I've got 42 at present.
p7/32
And once again... no CL4... when will I stop trying? Do I really think babble can be educated into better loving ways?
It's just a snapshot of this time of night .. the rest of the day... CHAOS! lol I
Hi Blaze :D
If only that C were next to the i... we would have had a 600+ grid, I think, LOL.
Why not hitman?
e coli's in the grid, but not accepted.
T9/54
Reversing the C and the O added 2 words to 292.
M7/36, not sure if that was mentioned already. Well Brandyjack, it was only a joke, but thanks for checking.
t8/45 t7/28
Nite all, must help little one finish studying... GW - just wanted to make sure you saw the message from Smeltzie to say Hi *hugs*
good nite schoder...
Ecoline is a kind of colored ink in Dutch. But not valid :(
Thanks, Schro -- I did (*hug*) BTW, what subject?
Bye Schroeder :)
She has Spanish and Biology tomorrow...
c/10 84
see you tomorrow shro - it'll be friday nite - let's party!
I enjoyed both of those when I was in school :) Good luck with the studying! See you tomorrow!
Nite Schro -- get some good rest.
67 word here now.
Sounds good to me Renfield...after this week I'm ready She like Biology alot, Spanish not so much....Finals not at all...lol Till tomorrow all
74 words :-)
Holy crow! I just broke 100 and didn't even realize it!!
74 words for me too.
c/8 50 c/9 66
78 words and peace, out....
bye chic...
g'nite chic
lol GW - holy "crow?" That's a new one to me! :)
LOL, luvmypom -- feel free to use it anytime ;D
75 words here now.
84 and trying to get 100 before I go to bed. Don't think I'll make it.
130, but no 9's or 20's.
shouldn't hitman be a word?
120 now only one 9, and no 10
86 here...
I must depart at 85 words complete... will be back... to pick at some more... good day/evening to all....
So long Blaze! Til tomorrow (*hug*)
Nitey Blaze ...see ya tomorrow :)
Good night, Blaze -- if I don't find 9 or 10 soon, I won't be far behind you!
96 here now.
yay! 100 now I can go to bed.
yay for Darleen -- sleep well!
Wow I am impressed with you all ... got 80 but now is slow going for me. :(
Nite Darleen. :)
most of mine are 4's, luv -- when I run out of those, then I'll be in trouble :D
Mine too GW, that goes w/o saying! lol
Isn't a cross between a banana and pineapple a "panana"? :P
Back for a mo... you are all doing great, I see.
luvmypom: what a wonderful word!
Hey sprite. :) Get the kids off?
Giving up for the night -- peepers keep drooping! Good night everyone -- see you tomorrow.
No, they just had their breakfast and now they are playing till it is time for school. Er... I should say, WE are playing, though not the same game, lol.
G'nite c-nan -- catch you then! (*hug*)
Nite cybernan! And yes, I do think hitman should be valid, but it isn't :(
104 here, v. glad I know building trade words... have a text to answer now, brb.
Wow Sprite... I'm impressed you get everyone ready and still have time for them to play before school. We used to watch for the bus as shoes were being tied!
Good nite cybernan. Have a good rest of the evening.
I try to impress upon my kids that getting up early enough to have some time for play is rewarding, lol. I hate being rushed, especially in the morning. But I will not be surprised if later in life they will sleep in till the very last moment ;)
My 16 y/o son rolls out of bed at 7:45 - leaves the house at 8:00. Ahhh to be a teen boy! lol
My son is 9, so he still runs my schedule... won't be long before he will follow only his own, though ;) I hope we will survive the teenboy years-to-come. Any tips?
really wish I could see the 10...
I have 4 boys. I think boys are fantastic. Although they play the tough guys, they love their mothers. Just make sure to hug and kiss him lots. Even when they say they don't like it, they really do. :)
Don't have that one yet, but would you like C8/50 - 9/66? Sounds like friends to share your money with, but I will look up the def to see what it really means, lol. Tried it just for fun.
I will remember that, luvmypom :) We are a hugging family, so all we need to do is keep up the good work in spite of tough appearances - guess we can do that.
Well, my little pup, Sophie, has now crawled up on my shoulder and gone to sleep. Guess that's a sign it's time for bed. :) TTFN ... see you all in the a.m. *hugs all around*
Oh, and Sprite, when you go to kiss him and he nearly knocks your teeth out, sort of shrugging/heading you away to see if 'anyone is looking' forgive him if you just get a headbutt in public and then a nice big hug at home. That's boys for you!
I will be crawling after you in a couple, luv (*hug*)
LOL! Well, I am sure I can handle that too... it's the intention that counts, right? I wouldn't want to embarrass a teen boy by kissing him in front of others.
Nite luv!
Exactly, Sprite! LOL. We must indulge our males. LOL.
*yawn* -- nitey nite. *poof*
any better clue on the c8/9, sprite -- the brain is rapidly shutting down here...
Woulf: about those C-biggies: it seems they have little to do with money and more with prison.
Lol, that was at the same time, Woulf. Guys you share your cell with in prison, I'd say. And singular.
I love A8/65, do you have that one yet? Not a fan of closing.
Thanks for those, sprite -- now I can go to bed knowing that I am over halfway there :) Count is 156 and I have to get up for work in the AM so Good Night to all :) (*Hugs for everyone*) (((((*bonus hug for sprite*))))) TTFN
*big goodnight hug for Woulf* Pleasant dreams :)
I found an M7/32-8/45 combo, that becomes an M8/45-9/60 combo by inserting a vowel for alt. spelling. Think cape(s).
Feast or famine it seems with this game. Guess I'd better knock out 100 before bed...
127 words here, found.
Hi Griffs! Dig in, this is a lovely feast! Though I hate K-words... did I mention I hate K-words?
You *have* mentioned that you hate K-words. I'm glad there's something in this life one can count on.
49 left to find and probably ALL K-words, lol.
Oh, so you've been here what, 20 minutes?
From the very start, more or less, and getting nowhere for about 15 minutes. Found one H-word that is a K-word, though. :D
Well, tonight I'm regretting my backward-alpha approach because I think there are 411 t's...
That's exactly right!
Oh, there I found your capes you were talking about, thanks sprite
Hello everybody quick go before school.
Hi Sam!
hi sam, buncha words today
by the way i doubt it but do either of you have the 10???
I don't but I'm sure sprite does...
The 10 still eludes me completely.
and elude means...
to avoid or escape by speed, cleverness, trickery, etc.; evade: to elude capture. 2. to escape the understanding, perception, or appreciation of: The answer eludes me. LOL... or, in other words, don't know where the b@st@rd is hiding, can't be in MY grid!
This is the kind of puzz where I'm glad I've been playing awhile and have learned so many words that are only necessary here!
So very true, Griffs! Wouldn't be possible to finish this grid otherwise. A lot of the usual suspects. I just found my ever eluding vulcano. :)
thanks sprite... now calm down sprite it is on your grid, but first make sure your still breathing.
*breathes in* *breathes out* Sam, you're right, it's working! :D
works every time! oh my god i just saw an eight to8/45! if a place doesnt have a WC it gets to8/45 and if thats wrong don't blame me i saw it on the dictionary thing.
There are more biggies in that area, sam! Nice work!
Yes, it's quite a potty grid this time.
I completely overlooked that set of words!
Does that mean I'm anal retentive?
Hi mab!
tee hee
hi mab!!!
Hi everyone. Thank you Sprite and Sam for all the great words.
Nah, of course not. Just not potty-trained.
House trained though.
thanks mab and here is another shock... I'M ONLY NINE!
oh sweet monkeys i just found the 10
We knew that, but it is great that you are already potty-trained so well that you found those biggies right away ;)
SMOOTH PLEASE GIVE ME A CLUE! PLEASE!!
turtle... please... I'll be forever in your depth if you can point me in the right direction for the 10 :)
wow smooth!!!
I know, sam, I know. What would we do without the perspective and sanity of a nine-year-old. A very clever one, of course.
Errrr... make that debt.
today's nongridword for me is PANCAKES...
A natural white or colorless hydrated calcium borate hooray for typing in random letters that don't make sense :)
smoth still there???
145 words here now.
I am having a Dutch frustration day. No 'ecoline' and no 'cotelet', though they are there. But thanks for the pancakes. ;)
sorry make that smooth.
Thank you smooth turtle! Thank you very kindly.
:)
How anyone can random type a 10 is beyond me :D Great going, smooth, I'll go hunt that one down.
anyone got a different clue???
Why do I keep seeing 1 min before puzzle closes? Is Dr_God cross with me for some reason?:-(
c10 - Ole King c*** + short form for Mum + opp of day.
Nope, you are having trouble with the website, Jacula. I sometimes have the same thing. Refresh or force-refresh should cure the problem.
Got it - thanks ho hum!
ok sam, try: a type of camping stove + ite
Yeah! Ho Hum, you're the best. :)
glad to be able to help, it's usually the other way round!
bye everyone thanks smooth i can't get it but my dad will so i writ it on my hand.
Looked up the def for the 10 and saw you can make borax from it. Added to my list of absolutely useless but impressive-sounding facts :)
Anybody want to guess the name of the guy who discovered it? :D
I think I know the name, isn't that used for a liquid fuel as well, that we use when camping out?
Yep. And tents, and canoes and all manner of supplies. Also they seem to have a surplus of green paint.
Right, that's the one! :D Did we win the washing machine or the toaster?
Hmmm. Possibly the only two things they don't make. (or maybe they do!) :)
So... what's behind curtain 3?
I wish the an 8 was behind curtain 3 because it's the only 8 that I ain't gotz yet.
Griffs: that is a great one. Clue: no fan of closing.
closing..... hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.....
Or perhaps one could say it likes it open.
290? *meeeep* is that making up for yesterday?
Hi Atalante! Yes it is, and it is nice! Lots of great words to find, you will love some of the biggies :)
yay! we like nice words :)
sam wrote the clue on his hand for later -- is that not precious?
He's sweet.
Ayuh
Got all the Ks!!!!!!!!!! Sorry, had to yell, couldn't keep it in :)
Very bright, yet still charmingly nine.
Good for you! And I just got the an 8
WTG Griffs! Nice one, isn't it?
How can hitman not be a word?
Eva, we just don't know. Should be, but won't take. But there are several with that ending that are valid :)
I hate words ending in -man, its so random which ones are accepted and which ones aren't
I agree. I just try everything and see what happens, it has nothing to do with knowledge. Some of them are old acquaintances, though.
I only have one other so far.
I agree, atalante, I dislike en-, in-, un-, mis-, etc., for the same reason.
also wont take netman
yes! the weirdest things you'd never imagine were words fit perfectly, and obvious words get declined!
I have a D, H, O, and Tx2 with that ending so far.
it's the disable dictionary!
Who can forget 'branniest.'
LOL!
oooh nice M8
There are 4, Atalante, and all nice :)
1555 words here now and listening to Frankie Laine singing 'Don't Fence Me In'. LOL. Actually put cd on to listen to 'High Noon'. LOL.
*Meant 155 words here. Oops!
1555 words! Wow, you're absolutely fabulous :D
Sprite - Ha, ha, very funny. I'm not quite Patsy, yet.
But close! ;) *very softly whispers: done* So if anyone needs a clue?
No need to get dramatic, like the old Western songs, Sprite! LOL.
We know you've been done for long minutes. No clues for me right now, still so many to find I have lots of other bunny trails to follow, and am almost to my 100-before-bed anyway.
hello all! came home to a stinky dog smell... eeewwww.
Well done, Sprite. Will join you in that some time later.x
Sprite... you finished?
Argh, lickety... not nice! This grid should be a consolation though :)
Thanks Sprite for offering, I'm fine for now.
Just, lickety. Took me 2,5 hours at least.
Frankie Laine's 'Mule Train' is now in my heaadphones, oh LOL. Get on with it all you Babblers! Lash, lash, lash!
Which in human time is like 14 hours... :)))
Rawhide........!
sprite gets *~*~*~FIREWORKS!~*~*~*
I'm glad there's a fish in there :)
Griff!
Thanks, lickety! :D Atalante, what grid would it be without a fish?
That, too, Sprite! ROFLOL.
hee hee... Sprite, you were on holiday the day I finished 'fast' and someone said I was like Sprite. I said yeah, like Sprite in a coma maybe... :)))
well exactly...! maybe there's even more than one! (but I've only found one very unlikely sounding one so far)
Lol Griffs... :P I am just addicted longer than you are. You will surpass me soon.
AAARRRGGG! Dog stink over.... taking... the .... room!!! Gotta... get.... out!!!!
No way and that's fine. And I have reached my hunnerd and am going to bed. Will finish this tomorrow, after all what is work for?
Sleep well with sweet dreams, Griffs!
Thanks. Goodnight everybody.
Night Griff. Do sleep well.
Poor lickety. I'll fill up the tub and the soap, you get the dog.
No Babble addictions can possibly be amitted to, welll, not in public. If you are addicated, sign below, in complete confidedentiality (LOL)...: 1. My name is_____________ and I am a Babble addict. Please help/do not help me!
Some people tried to cure me, but I fought them off very valiantly :) Ywis!
You can even * admit to or be *addicted!
*confidentially
oooo there *are* some nice 8s today!
I knew you would have a ball today, Atalante, this is a grid to your liking :) (Takes one to know one)
yes! its lovely! and will probably take up half my day on and off :) but who cares ....
Shurrup Atalante! Haven't found an 8 yet. LOL!
me either, lol.
Well, no, don't 'shurrup' - give a clue!
lol I've only found 4 yet! but then are all nice ones :P
Hiya Mia, Cornwallian!
I am off to do something (else) useful. Good luck hunting all of you! And for clues: there are quite a few in the log already.
Atalante - saying they are nice is NOT a clue!
bye Sprite!!
Ciao, Sprite!
hi jacula :)
Jac, have you ever been shopping in Tunbridge Wells? there's a clue for you!
Tunbridge Wells? I've shopped a few places in Kent, but not there! Sorry.
Good idea Sprite... dog in bath... here we go!!
going shopping there is the only way in the world I knew two of the 8 words .... (they are basically the name of the main shopping area in T Wells!)
No idea! Not a big shopper, in that way,:-(
nor me ... my brother lives there though ... one of those lucky coincidences for the grid today!
Nope, I don't shop like a footballer's wife/girlfriend. Oh well, never mind!
signing out for now at 156 words found.x
its a roofing tile with an s-shaped profile (7 letter) plus plural and past tense - there's a more realistic clue!
i've only found 54 words today and i'm really slowing down. haven't gotten any of the big ones!
wonderful clue, that boosted my score a little :)
demat should be a word. I have to do that to my dog's fur every week!
washed the dog... aaaahhhhh! and she smells beautiful now!!!
hi licketysplit! am watching Aus on TV at the moment ... looks like a nice day in Perth ...
Atalante... just washed the dog... a lovely 32 degrees c here and not getting any cooler!!! The dog loved the bath and the demat!!
32C *dies* you lucky thing!! whereabouts in Aus are you?
Sydney... nice and warm!!! (screaming child in the background!! kicked his toe! ooowwwww)
sydney? cool! though is it a little stressful over there at the moment with "tension" on some of the beaches?
Am going to play 3 songs here.. If I leave here tomorrow Would you still remember me? For I must be travelling on, now, 'Cause there's too many places I've got to see. But, if I stayed here with you, girl, Things just couldn't be the same. 'Cause I'm as free as a bird now, And this bird you can not change. Lord knows, I can't change. Bye, bye, its been a sweet love. Though this feeling I can't change. But please don't take it badly, 'Cause Lord knows I'm to blame. But, if I stayed here with you girl, Things just couldn't be the same. Cause I'm as free as a bird now, And this bird you'll never change. And this bird you can not change. Lord knows, I can't change.
Turn me loose from your hands Let me fly to distant lands Over green fields, trees and mountains Flowers and forest fountains Home along the lanes of the skyway For this dark and lonely room Projects a shadow cast in gloom And my eyes are mirrors Of the world outside Thinking of the way That the wind can turn the tide And these shadows turn From purple into grey For just a Skyline Pigeon Dreaming of the open Waiting for the day He can spread his wings And fly away again Fly away skyline pigeon fly Towards the dreams You've left so very far behind Just let me wake up in the morning To the smell of new mown hay To laugh and cry, to live and die In the brightness of my day I want to hear the pealing bells Of distant churches sing But most of all please free me From this aching metal ring
three people got arrested for making explosives at the beaches area that you are talking about... it is such a shame. This is such a peaceful place and things are out of hand because of 'terrorisms'
*sigh* yeah ... its a shame this things extend out to such beautiful places
ok, I give up for the time being. 113 to find. back later!!
Cant'play last song of choice because it's too long. Nevr mind.
Try listening to Stevie Wonder, way ahead of the rest of us in 1972... "Big Brother" Your name is big brother You say that you're watching me on the tele, Seeing me go nowhere, Your name is big brother, You say that you're tired of me protesting, Children dying everyday, My name is nobody But I can't wait to see your face inside my door Your name is big brother You say that you got me all in your notebook, Writing it down everyday, Your name is I'll see ya, I'll change if you vote me in as the pres, The President of your soul I live in the ghetto, You just come to visit me 'round election time I live in the ghetto, Someday I will move on my feet to the other side, My name is secluded, we live in a house the size of a matchbox, Roaches live with us wall to wall, You've killed all our leaders, I don't even have to do nothin' to you You'll cause your own country to fall
LOl, I can see you are all 'impressed'! Never mind. Happy Babbling!
Not sure if music or words are my 'first love', or the words of music, Doesn't matter, they don't seem to mix on this site.:-(
But, if Stevie Wonder's 'Talking Book' isn't one of THE perfect albums, then I'm a Dutchwoman! :-/
I love Stevie Wonder :)
Yoink! Thank the Lord! A fellow fan.
Innervisions is my favourite, but Talking book is right up there, also Fulfillingness' First Finale and Songs in the key of life
'Superstition' was the first song that really got me hooked. But I love all the albums you've metioned. James Brown wasn't the Godfather of Soul! Stevie was and still is.
And that's from a 'girl' who is still a 'rock chick' at heart!
For me, it was Sir Duke and Higher Ground. I never really though James Brown should've been given that title, he was more funk than soul as far as I was concerned
Yoink - have you seen that ad for a comedy DVD - can't remember who the comedian is now, but his Dad kept saying, 'Get down!' and he says, 'I thought my Dad was James Brown!' LOL.,
No, I haven't seen that one, but a co-worker makes a "Uhhhnnn" sound when he clears his throat that really reminds me of James Brown, it amuses me
LOL, Yoink.
You expect him to say 'yah make me feel good!' after that?:-)))
Hmm, I'd be somewhat worried if he said that to me
Hi all, How many words today?
Hi Trishtrash, 290 words today
Hi averyone. Got 110 words no problem, but now each word is excruciating. Wish I hadn't started!!
Thanks Yoink :) *wanders off, muttering*
Hi Ishult, I'm on 139 here, slowing down but they are still showing themselves every so often. Constantly minimising and maximising to avoid detection doesn't make for fluent babbling though :/
99 words to go. In pain.!!
still only found 65 words. i'm rubbish today!
134 words to go, Atalante, but, somehow, I don't really mind.
120 down, need to walk away for 15 minutes or I'll throw something at the screen. later
Morning Atlante and Miametro :)
OUCH! Need to turn the volume down from Stevie Wonder. Have got Doris Day's 'Deadwood Stage' in my headphones now, and, boy, is it LOUD! Good song for getting us all getting on with the grid though!:-)
anybody have a clue for the last ma 7/32
Hi Yoink! I'm not here ... really ... I'm working - honest!
Jacul, I've got a lovely bit of Tom Waits on right now. Atlante, yeah me too! ;-)
add on ma6/21 there a 3 7/21
That sickens me!
mean 7/32
crash-cool ... it's a portable bullet-proof shelter (!) but it sounds like a small version of your other ma7/32
What sickens you Lickety?
I know how to make the dollar sign - shift + 4
my daughter is typing.... why are you typing everythin I say mummy!
morning yoink :)
gotta love the 7 year old! "mummy... ha ha ha... my children sicken me Yoink....they are too cute!!
An old friend just came around and pushed a card through the letterbox. It had such a lovely verse she'd printed out and put in with it, that I know we need to talk soon. Just like we used to do often once.
It's good to talk
Lickety - I'm very happy to say that neiher of my children ever sickened me, even when I was pregnant with them. Never got morning sickness, just all day-long heartburn! LOL. Nothing's changed!
Got 159 words here now, btw.
any clues for the ap 8 and ap 9?
Jac... it sickens me that the kids are growing up... it makes me cry every day! Everything that comes out of their mouth is so grown up!! I want time to freeze...
Miametro, think greenfly for an ap5 then take off the last 2 letters of that and add an ni4/4
Oops, add a vowel in the middle too... The 9 is the plural
Lickety - appreciate that it cannot last but enjoy it without bad feelings while you can!
Thanks Yoink, needed those too.
Lick, Jac, how old are your kids? My boys are 6&9. sometomes I just want to ramthe little one up against the wall (of course I never have [yet!!]). It's a fine line between being good, loving parents and Child beaters.
Ishult - Mine are 21 and 18, nearly 22 ansd 19! Step-daughter is about to turn 11 this week.
Ishult - Mine are6 & 7. My youngest is a little bugger! but the 7 year old is the angel of the earth! I got the best (worst) of both worlds!
I do wish I didn't keep getting distracted by our hunting cat sitting outside on the trailer and obviously thinking about entering house through the office window, and havoc he woud wreak if he did! I've just let him out. I know if I let him in he will want to go out again in a few minutes. I will not be his door person.
i've got a cat like that. he's got me well trained.
my OH is sitting here, discussing the precious perils of mankind..... the youngest is nodding his head... and beating his sister up at the same time!!! (got to control myself!)
80 words. It's creeping up, slowly! I'm happy tho because I've managed to get myself on the cream of the crop ladder, albeit quite a long way down!
lshult... you have boys?
on 'phone to my Mum at the moment...
93 words :)
I've passed the half-way point while ostensibly working, so I'm happy enough so far
102 words and i do believe it's time for lunch.fabulous. still 188 left to find tho!
:( I still have 55 minutes until I can go for my lunch, but I'm hungry now!
*offers Yoink some Dairy Milk*
Sorry Lick, wasn't ignoring you, just popped out to do some work. Yep, two little horrors of the male variety.
Had lunch some time ago, now munching on a cadcury's picnic, washed down with a pepsi max (Diet pepsi in England), something contadictory in that combo, but tastes good.
Ishult, if it feels good, do it :D And hi, by the way
127 words down, been some time since a new one cropped up, sonn gonna be time to check out Brandyjack's stats.
Lickety - I have one of each variety of my own, plus another of the female kind. Anything you want to know, just ask!
Hey Jac :)
Ishult - we do have Pepsi Max here in UK and it's not the same as Diet Pepsi.
Hi M_Fan :) And thanks for the chocolate!
You're welcome! Only a half day of school today, so the rest of the day to try and defeat this monster :/
Hiya Miyavi. Has you finished with school for Xmas yet? And has your bedroom door been rehung? Must have been a hell of a shock at 6am, it being blown off and all that! What's the air quality like there now? I have 2 friends in H/H I have yet to write letters in Xmas cards to, so I'd like to know what to say!
Jac, it's all fine now, thanks...schools out at last, the air's clear, sun shining (ish), birds singing, etc, and bedroom door is back on!
miya - glad it's all sorted.x
Thanks Jac :) How's everything where you are?
Dunno if I'll do the grid on my own today. I have 13 more letters to write to go in with Xmas cards, and Xmas cakes to ice and decorate, gingerbread house dough to make, mince pies to make, plus a menacingly large pile of ironing to tackle.:-(
ouch :/ I have an immense pile of chocolate to eat through
Aside from all that.,Miya, everything is hunkydory!
I miss Xmas. We just don't have it here. It's soo wierd!!
Hooray, I made a letter go grey, ok it was only the O with 3 in, but still...
Ishult - you have Channuka (*spelling) though?
Yoink- don't knock it, i've only got one of those o's, well done.
Well done, Yoink! I haven't looked at the o's yet.
lol! Come help me eat through my choccies :)
*sighs* I keep expecting 'hana' to be a word, just 'cos it's Japanese for flower :/
Jacula- this is true, but it's not the same . I miss having xmas shoved down my throat evertime i turn on the tele.
Miyavi- what flavours are left, if there's mazipan, it's mine!!
Oh, Ishult, we'll do our best to make it up to you on here! HAPPY CHRISTMAS!
*puts box in the middle of babbleverse and dives out of the way, fast*
did anyone else come here yesterday morning and see one puzzle and there was another one in the afternoon?
no way....... 290 words??? is it a friendly grid at least? (babble or book? babble or book? babble or book?) hi all : )
*Jac hides her marzipan antlers, reindeer face, nose, robin's body, feet, red breast etc. She's sticking them atop the Xmas cakes later! They can't be scoffed.'
Hi Babs! (((x))) The grid's not too bad, I've got past halfway without stats
Hey Babs! :)
I got to go finish some work and go home. back later
Hi Yoink! ((x)) really? hmmm...... maybe..... hiya Miya!! : D
bye for now
Lalob - there was only one puzzle. Are you sure you idn't get caught up after I posted the 38-worder from 12th May 2005?
Later Ishult :)
Babs, I feel bad today...unable to be the clue fairy :/
Yoink!!! I was looking for something along the lines of your icon!! good choice!! *refresh* for mine.... : )
maybe cos you exhausted your magical powers yesterday, Miya? It happens like that with Babble, after a demanding day, the next day you're wiped out. : /
Heh, nice monkey Babs
Miya - why feeling bad?
the t-shirt on my icon reads: Monkey Owns Ya! which is appropriate for Babble!
i don't know. all i know is that it was a diffrent one from about 7 am yesterday to lunchtime. thanks for the possible explanation.
heh...that's it then :) Jac, yesterday I was so chuffed at completing my first ever babble, I went around giving loads of people clues! Now I'm back to being inferior again!
Miya - go to the top of the screen and click on View Yesterday's Puzzle...... NOW! : )
Babs, monkey owns ya? Would that be left over from Planet of the Apes?
lol Babs!!!
you're top of the list!!!!! What does it mean? Why are players in a different order everyday? How did you get to the top?? tell me tell me tell me :)
who's top?
did you not look at the list of players yesterday? go and look again....... look at the FIRST NAME ON THE LIST...... ahaaa.... it's a surprise..... ; )
Ahhhh!!! But why me?! I'm way down the bottom usually!!! *jumping up and down*
I don't know!!!! *jumps up and down also* !!!!! what does it mean? I look everyday to see where I am! :D
*jumps up and down because everyone else is*
*dancing around the room* I don't know why it's me there, though...I didn't finish quickest or anything.
weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee eeeeeeee!!! :D:D:D:D
(*^_^*) Thanks Babs, I wouldn't have noticed that!!!
the highest I've ever been is 2nd I think.... a few days back.... :D
*still jumping up and down* you're welcome, my little sugar-pie!! :D
I'm blissed out but confused!
mornin all!!
I don't know how it works either.... let me know if you figure it out! hi evan! : )
Hey Eva! :)
Hi Eva, and bye everyone, toddling off for my lunch now with 122 left.
Later Yoink :)
see you later, Yoink ((xx)) : )
Icon #1 for today. :)
*sighs* okay...I have officially lived through Dir en Grey's most scarring PV, uncut. ...Now I dread sleep! :D
i guess 290 is to make up for the 31 yesterday, eh? heh
I'm not even tryingfor sleep until about 9-10pm.
Incidentally, since I'm a True Blue Tory, the tricky monkey in my icon is... well, you know who. Always thought he rsembled Roland Rat myself, but he appeared when I googled 'monkey'....
hey everybody much bigger puzzle today what is the theme today?
mawnkeys. :D
Hiya Shorty - The them is 'monkeys', I believe.
any help with the oi 6/ 21?
Hey Shorty, how are you? :)
Greetings, all! 2 hour delay so I have a bit of Babble time!
oi5/12 - greased.
oi/6 petro worker
Im good I see your on the top of the list woohoo go Miya go Miya
i need the oi 6/ 21, i already have the oi 5/12 :)
The oi 6? Don't know yet. Sorry!
man, i can't believe that's an actual word. but thanks! got all the o's now, lol..
I do now though! THANK YOU, JAN!
Congratulations, Miya! Since they have been improved, I'm even more confused about ratings... but #1 is #1 (even I get that)!
Thanks Shorty, thanks Jera! :) No idea how I got there, though...:/
in 7/32 -- prisoners
thanks evanadine. :) how're you doing on the puzzle?
160 words left to go here...
i have 173 to go. getting there, slowly! missing the biggies tho.
Ma 7/32 (plural) Ma 7/36 (past tense) shelf that goes over the fireplace
thanks, eva!
To be honest, I don't give a ;'erm yea' about the rankings. I just love the game and the chat. Not saying I never look how I'm doing... but it's not the main theme.
no, me either...I only noticed 'cos Babs told me! (((Babs)))
i hear ya jacula! when i first started playing, i worked my keister off to finish the puzzle every day... now i rarely finish and im sure my rankings are poo...but i play for the fun.
Oh dear! So few Torys on the net!:-(
good morning all...I'm happy this one is longer than yesterday's.
I never play to win or complete, I'd get too depressed/disgusted with myself. That's why it was such a big kick to finish yesterday!
Morning, Alien :)
morning all...
Hah! I just counted up to know my number ranking... yup, depressing... think I'll shoot for breaking into top 100 in the middle list... (we Cappys gotta have goals, ya know)
okay, i'm back for another bash!!
Got 'The Darkness' playing in my headphones now, 'I Believe In a Thing Called Love' and whaddya know, my oH just texted me. He must be psychic! I'll leave you lot listening to the song, whilst I see what he has to say and then answer...
evanadine, I found ma6/21 -shelf over fireplace. but for the life of me cannot make it plural or past tense.
hi guys, how many words today? :o)
reverse last two letters
peri -- its the common plural ending and the common past-tense ending...not sure what to tell ya...heh
290 craggus
peri, first change the last two letters of your word around.. and try again :)
oh, hi everyone! :)
ahh, i didnt have the 6 spelled the way peri does. :)
ishult, thanks found it with your clue. evanadine, spelled with le ending means cape and not shelf which had me confused
actually, for the shelf, you can spell it either way...
trishtrash, thanks did not see your clue
Doncha just luuuuuv those Babble "alternate spellings"
139 words left to go here... time to go get breakfast! BRB! :)
woo! Computer froze! Hi to everyone who's just arrived :)
Got Motorhead in my headphones now so if you want to ask for even give me clues, you'll have to SHOUT!
I keep trying to spell delete & detain... still not there...
peri are you coming with me. is so can you make it by 9:30
*Note to self. Must NOT let love of music muck up Babble chat log!
the only thing i know by Motorhead is Triple H's entrace for WWE... works for babble, too! "It's all about the game and how you play it!" :)
Jac, go ahead! My love of j-rock is constantly making unwanted appearances. Talk about it as much as you want!
If anyone can thank God for still being alive now, aside from my mate Ozzie (from Black Sabbath), then it's Lemmy from Motorhead. Even he, like Oz., has no idea how he is still alive. But alive they both still are, God willing, and still rocking! Head bang along, folks.
I can't right now, Jac, I'm singing along with Hide...not alive but the next best thing :/
Lemmy's band will give you no respite, but if you calm down a bit you might just find time to listen to Black Sabbath's 'Laguna Sunrise'.
any clues for the 9's and 10?
Okay, have now switched songs...*doing mad air guitar to Dir en Grey's 'Berry'*
i think i may have sputtered out at with 139 left to go...heh
If you can't get the clues from my rock bands, then it's time for me to go!
I had to go to bj's list about then evanadine... no shame...
dunno that i have the ability to concentrate that much yet...hehe
Also, i MUST JUST ASK, do I have to have this person as my icon for more than 24 hours, or even that long? Oh, don't make me, please!!
jacula...you can change it whenever you want silly!
Of course you can change! My Miyavi icon isn't exactly in accordance with the theme, I guess, but he's nice and Christmassy :)
finished all the o's i's & p's time to take a break later
co8 and co9 . . . the person sharing your prison cell
ooh, thanks Uneaixoise!
Thanks and Hi Une! :)
to8/45 to have pottied to8/40 9/54 french pottie
hey, miya!
Wow, thanks, Baggo!
Thanks Baggo! :)
no prob une 8-) its snowing big fluffy flakes...
*looks out of window* YOU LIE!!!
I know I can change icons whenever I want, but it's a monkey theme today, is it not?
well, you could change it to another monkey icon or just disregard the theme..heh
please change . . . it's painful for the rest of us as well . . . just don't change it to his pal!! :-)
are you there, Shaylee?
Miya - Baggo's in Indianapolis, USA!
Une - I won't ber a Bush either thenm lol. Will go look for a better icon for the day.
miyavi...it really is...which kinda makes me sad, i have a friend who's husband they just brought hospice in for and he just wants one last big snowfall...
i'm staying with a neutral pic! too early for major indigestion!
Jac, that's no excuse :) Oh, Baggo, I'm sorry...my best wishes :(
its really kinda beautiful, (and sad too) but he is having time with everyone, saying goodbye, sharing memories.. no regrets... ;-)
Oh, Baggo...I would be crying, if the song I'm listening to would permit it. Luckily Pink Cherry is playing...I have to smile
keep smiling. I don't fear death. ;-)
Hello all. I'm back from the edge of death. Fever, vertigo, and nonstop sleep. What an experience that was. I was sick 6 weeks w/stupid cold..finally, diagnosed w/bronchitis...I get over that and come down w/this. Merry Frickin' Christmas!
gramma nice to see you back.. and better??
Baggo, that's so admirable...I try not to either, I'm helped by a favourite Dir en Grey song, "Ain't Afraid to Die"!
well, a far cry from yesterday, eh folks?
Thanks, Baggo. I'm about ready for a nap. Not going to accomplish much today.
oh my, should have read some posts before i came barging in. i would have been quieter. sympathies to the suffering...
Right, can I just be me now fr rest of puzzle? A, sick of themed days!
hurshy, no problem on my account. jacula honey be whatever you want to be... we're all fine if you're just you...
Babbler - please take note that there is a small rebellion here, re. 'themes'. Some of us just want to be what we are!
though i have become a fan of theme days and now enjoy them, i fully support the right of any babbler to be a non-participant in theme days! let your uniqueness shine through!
I think as far as themes are concerned, people are gonna have to be lenient with me because, just simply: my icons are always going to be j-rockers...I'm sorry :)
p's done...okay if you want the pa7/32, 8/50 and 8/45 think of trousers plus the floor of your bathroom what those things are called, little squares, (but no double letter in the middle)
Woo...thanks Baggo! Clue fairy!
Ty, Baggo.
i like to change my icon. but would never think less of anyone who didn't want to ... some days it does get confusing cause i'm not sure who i'm talking to for a bit, but i get over it...lol
Great :) I'm listening to "Ain't Afraid to Die" right now...you inspired me, Baggo :)
well i'm glad miyavi... 8-)
I may be overtaken by the Xmas bug, but otherwise, I just want to be myself!
the lyrics are so beautiful, though...(translated) "the road we walked back then is gone, but I still walk along it anyway. The snow falls quietly on the gentle slope, now I place your favourite flower in your room, Even though I know it will never reach you..."
:')
"please, please, don't cry anymore... ...you know I'll always be with you, even from here..."
hey hey hey!
Hey Eva! Bit of weeping going on here :/
Myavi - pleaae don't lose sleep over someone!
oh dear.
sORRY, Eva, didn't mean you personally.
glad i'm not the cause.
Jac, don't worry! I end up losing sleep over Dir en Grey anyway...I think the poster of Kyo in a straitjacket on my ceiling may contribute towards that :D Eva, don't worry...happy tears :)
thas good then
No, Eva, just sad songs :)
I was talking generally, Don' want the next generation, or even 2nd to us generation, to lose sleep unneccessarily!
sleep loss is a part of life. you just trudge on through it.
Miya - teenaged angst has its place in all of our lives, and I guess we must all go through it... However, if us silly, middle-aged lot can abbreviate the way for you, then you must let us...!
angst - now that is a lovely word.
Ah, don't worry...I'm generally happy. Just have the odd moment when listening to songs like Ain't Afraid to Die! Thanks for your concern, though :)
argh! there's so many cool words that are ALMOST in here....
Ah yes...angst is a gorgey word :) Angsty as well :)
hey hurshy - don't fuss now
i agree hurshy i keep seeing manatee..alas
I keep seeing matinee and delete...grrr...
well i'm sorry but i really really wanted "emphatic"
that's a good one hurshy
don't worry hurshy, you are emphatic
lol, I entered 'emphatik' out of sheer desperation :/
lol. i'm not sure how to take that. :)
def a compliment, trust me!
when i was doing the p's i thought for sure pantlet was a word...lol
Hi everyone....almost school run time!! (((((Baggo))))) Hows the new job hun??? I`m missing you :)
hmmm...pantlet? the definition please?
i also want to end things with -ment
Good morning (or afternoon or whatever) all! :)
Hey Lotti and Bugzy!
hey bugzy, nice puppets
((((lotti)))) it is the most awesome thing i have ever done, didn't realize how burnt i was until i left my old job... it's something new everyday...
evan i don't know i just thought it should be a word..
oh, hey, congrats baggo - that sounds great!
Oh brilliant....full of bounce now are you??
Thanks hurshy - they're the Sponge Monkeys from those Quiznos commercials a while ago. They look a little warped in the icon, but then again, they are a little warped!! :)
well then you own that word baggo - make one up for posterity.
Pantlets are what you get when you live girl pants and boy pants alone together
and let me tell ya in only 2 weeks i already have seen some crazy things...and i'm totally amazed at the reasons people come to the er, no wonder healthcare costs so much. one lady came cause her dr off didn't open until 8, hello they have people on call...education that is my main goal...lol
lol miyavi
Eva, would that be 'make one up for posterity' or 'make one up for your posterior' lol :D
Glad to hear your new job is going well baggo. It's so good to do new things ! :)
hey i just found an m 7/8 with my p word...take the p off...ha
it really is bugzy thanks
LOL Baggo :) Well must get my daughter from school.....BBL :)
ha baggo, i work with an er nurse who complains dr's send their patients there to save paper work and leg work, never mind how much more it costs the patient.
bye lotti it was great seeing you.. ((((xxx)))
evan that makes total sense...i had one girl who was just so sick, but she was on the phone when i came in the room...
work? i meant bowl - sorry.
See ya Lotti! baggo - I changed jobs last year at about this time (not by choice - got downsized) and it was one of the best things that could have happened to me. The new job is so much more challenging and rewarding.
i forgot to add that her doc sent her in to us...
(((Baggo))) I think Tor will be glad to see you too !!! Take care, may see you in a while ! xx
isnt it amazing. i wish that i would have switched a long time ago... its funny how things work out huh?
sounds about right - never mind people like me. 25 copay for pcp - 100 copay for er - i think i'd rather see my doctor.
ty lotti, who are ya kiddin torgone only has eyes for you, he doesn't chat much with me anymore.. ;-)
Life is like a box of chocolates... :)
it truly is...
...you never know which one you're going to get... wasn't that in Forrest Gump? Tom Hanks? No thanks :/
evan yeah me too, i'm all about savin money, and if you're sick you can get in that day most places..
OMG, Bugzy - you're not about to show the President your butt, are you?
No Jac, but how about a game of ping-pong? LOL
for shame miyavi - hanks is a great actor.
Maybe, but I can think of people I'd prefer *evil grin*
Have to say I didn't really like that movie much either but I do like the line :) But I did like Tom Hanks in Big.
So great even I, the great idler, is running round the block for him.
sleepless in seattle
can't think of a hanks movie i don't like - * squeezes eyes shut and thinks real hard *
Run, Jacula, Run!!!
oh, haven't seen sleepless
Philadelphia was great too.
GO JACULA!
or philadelphia - or green mile
yes it was...
Meg Ryan - 'that' scene! Was she right or was she right?
be back later all.
And let's not forget the small screen: Bosom Buddies! Loved that show!
I don't know, personally I prefer the oresama movie :D ...Now if only I could understand it...
meg ryan ... that was when harry met sally ... no tom hanks. how about You've Got Mail?
Bye evanonut!
Bosom Buddies .. you just KNEW Hanks was gonna be, pardon me, BIG
Given the great chap I've got now, I never have to fake 'em. Never did anyway - which is prob. wy I ended up divorced! But Meg Rya did not get it wrong in that scene.
"I'll have what she's having" -- great line!!
Probably the pne of the best lines of the century!
*comes around to the slow realization of what everyone else is talking about* *backing slowly away*
That was the director's Mom... Rob what's his name... too early can't think
Yep, Rob Reiner. Meathead.
THANK you!
reiner
bye evan didn't see you leave...
And we somehow come back to that Robin Williams film, 'I hour Photo'. tHAT WAS SERIOUSLY scary.
hm. haven't seen it but when Robin Williams is dark and serious, he can be plenty scary.
i haven't seen it either darleen but i feel the same way.
Speaking of scary, what about The Ring?
Darleen - if you haven't seen 'I hour Photo' yet, then I recommend you do so.
Jac ... will put it on the netflix list then. t/y
Darleen - do so! You willl not be disapppointed.
MIya - not seen The Ring yet, but daughter has, and found it disappointing.
any clues for the 10?
TWO HUNDRED AND NINETY? Better get started....
Disappointing? It scarred me!!
hiya harpjane
Hi mia, harpjane :)
Sorry, no. no word clues here at the moment.
afternoon harpjane :)
hiya mia...didn't mean to miss ya too...
My first word was a 6 letter potty word. Is that how the whole puzzle goes?
I'm back from taking Gwyd to preschool... the Sprite got herself on the bus fine without me... but she left the front door standing wide open, LOL Fortunately, I was close enough to home to actually see her getting on the bus... so my home wasn't exposed too long... kids are funny
Go ino your clues playing 'Back Night' by Deep Purple. iT MAY HELP, LOL.
co10/84 nat king "co.." + opposite of pa + alt spelling of opposite of day (ni4/4)
Remember to "French-ify" the potty word, plus plurals and past tenses, for some 8s and 9s! Hi Jera :)
baggo...."opposite of pa" ?
Thanks baggo! Funny that it won't accept the word without the last 3 letters though...
I'm with you, baggo! I'm trying to figure out the oposite of pennsylvania!
think grand"pa" sorry....
its the indiana hillbilly in me....lol
The word also sounds like a devotee of a certain brand of camping equipment :)
Thanks Baggo great clue
oh...heh...i got it now...missed the point the "co.." was also referring to the next 2 letters...then the "pa" reference...hehe...
It's also what they called the followers of our long-time Detroit mayor, Co***** Young :)
bugzy -- is your icon a picture of those scary quizzno's freaky things?!
Yeah, evanadine, the Sponge Monkeys. They cracked me up!!
heh, they gave me nightmares!
oH, SORRY, ' Can't Get Enough of Your Loving by Bad Company , followed very shortly by Back Street Luv by Curved Air...
thanks for the c/10 clue. Got it! Now to go see what it means.
I make no apologies whatsover for my 70 bands here!
ah. a principal source of borax. figured it must be some sorta rock.
That's really what they called the mayor of Detroit?
Jacula - Bad Company was one of the first concerts I saw.... think they were with Foreigner ... Obviously, I dig 70s bands too :)
Best movie of all time: Nashville. (I am an expert. I was a movie theater projectionist for 20 years!) Runners up: The Loved One, Dr. Strangelove, the first Willie Wonka.
Well Harp, gotta disagree. Best movie of all time was the original Star Wars. to each her own :-)
The mayor's name was Co***** A. Young. (The first 7 letters of the 10 letter word.) They called his cronies/followers Co10/84's. He was mayor for something like 30 years here...
Oh and I did movie reviews for the radio for the local theater for 14 years. Guess that makes me some sort expert (unknown drip).
Each to her own indeedy... Top movie of all time: Oresama
i think its about time to change monkey-outfits...got a few more lying in wait. ;)
Bugzy - Yes, they would have been with Foreigner.
evandine perhaps you have a barrel of monkeys?
BEHOLD!! monkey-outfit #2!!
But don't be surprised if Foreigner, come up with your words of the decade.
The original Star Wars is right up there. Definitely in my top ten. Haven't seen Oresama. Maybe I'd better educate myself! Any body like Derzu Usala? That was a good one. Oh, and Harold & Maude! Definitely a sleeper.
Although, I must admit that Star Wars did not pass the "movie projectionist who still likes it after 8 months, 3 times a day" test. Some of the others did pass that test.
leslieann -- only just saw your message... none yet, but im a-lookin now! hehe
Ah, don't worry about Oresama...it isn't subtitled anyhow. I probably only dote so much on it because the main character is played by Miyavi...:D
harpjane, you must know a ton of movie trivia, i bet you always win at trivial pursuit :)
barrel of monkeys it is!! :D
Gotta take a break with 99 to go... see you all in a bit after I've warmed up!
Bye Jera - Work beckons, so I'm off too... BBL :)
off to be lunch lady back in a few
man, i change into more fun than a barrel of monkeys + everyone leaves!!
they're very nice monkeys, evan!
Oh goody. Only 189 words to go >_<
hi everyone!
hiya sam
Hi Sam! :) Last day of school over with?
no miya only 2 days to go.. huh...well at least iv'e got babble to keep me ocupied.
Two more days? Be strong! (*^_^*)
has anyone got the 10???
the 10 is a co, sounds like someone who is a big fan of a certain brand of camping gear
see hint at 9:19
or the fan of an English sports comentator David Co*****
huh? why isn't ecoli a word? *sulks*
thank you thank you... just popped in for a minute or two... before my day starts...
Hey Blaze :)

anyone have a clue for the first el6/18?
Hurshy...the chosen ones!
lotti - you mean plural of the second 5/10? i have that one, i need the other one.
"you can have a he6?!?!?! I never would have figured that one out... generally we call those guys straight!" i cannot figure this out for the life of me!
There isn`t another el6 :/
and also, the chosen ones? eh?
good grief, i was looking at the en stats! thanks lotti!
god, ignore that chosen one comment, i've got it.
Hello everyone =o)
133 words, 1928 points, and i'm completely sapped dry i think.
miametro - do you have brandyjack's list?
290 words today :(
any clues on the 10 letter word? :)
toesock - you seen "trading places" with dan aykroyd and eddie murphy?
Oh hi TSM...scroll back, Baggo did a good one a while ago!!
and if so do you remember the butler's name?
ok, it got awfully quiet all of a sudden. i will tell a funny. anyone remember a muppet show where they did "ha6. the story of a young pig"
hahahhaha hurshy!
awww, man, now I can stop laughing.... gotta keep it down...
:)
Sorry Hurshy.....I sloped off for BJ`s M list!!! On 215 and slowing to snail pace :)
Scrolled back, thanks! :) hurshy - I have seen the tv show trading spaces ... that what you mean?
it's ok lotti - and with the list you should pick up speed easily!
no no, toe sock, i was referring to a movie. the butler's name is the first 7 letters of the co10.
OMG! Does anyone remember Weebles?! *falls on the floor from laughing so hard*
weebles wobble but they DON'T fall down!
Some strange.....long M words!!! eg:- a bendy yellow fruit but drop the b for the m !!!!!! Hmm
YES! Hurshy I love you! lol
I remember when I was a kid I would play with them. So today when I was at the store I saw Weeble stickers! Go figure... never thought anyone would remember them
well, i love you too, tsm. :) lotti - that thar is spanish!
There are loads of 6,7,8 and 9`s starting with the same 3 letters!!
monkey is todays icon?
yes tsm, good one for you! :)
yeah, lotti, i'm having some trouble finding one of the 5/12's near the beginning - i have the bread from heaven that the israelites ate - what's the other?
nvm lotti, just got it!
my real life name is in the puzzle but won't let me use it - Hannah
lot of proper nouns in the puzzle today, actually
Yeah I see that... Just never saw mine in there before! And spells correctly! ;)
today was DEFINITELY an appropriate day on which to have monkey icons. i can't even believe i found all those ma's!
any help for the second an7 -- I already one that is plural of an6?
pbr, in tennis, you have game, ***, match. add that, backwards, to your prev an4.
Off for a while...BBL :)
The 1st an6? Please!!
an6 - add the first man, only change the second vowel of his name
you know, not to be immodest or anything, but sometimes i have a suspicion that i am terribly brilliant.
mmmmmm crab rangoon!
hurshy- who am I to argue with genious
Hello all. I think I am gender challenged today. Too many words end in the 3-letter generic male term and I seem to by-pass them all.
*gently* you're lshult, dear.
Happy Friday everyone!!! Let the last weekend for Christmas shopping begin!!
ugh, lupe, we're babbling, don't bring up unpleasant subjects... :P
Lupe613: OOOO - bite your tongue. Did you have to remind me?
just missing two of the a's now. the 1st an5/10 and the ai5/12?
an 5/10 add tolkein's living trees
ai 5/12 - was sick
Good morning all! Am stumped w/ the last ha5/12 & 6/21. Help out there???
Nonny: ha 6/ 21 plural of ha 5/12 (white guys in Hawaii)
ty hursy, a's done , but still 115 words to go
last ha 6/21 add ol4, make singular for the 5
i have 20 left. all t's, since i go alphabetically.
Ha 5/21 laugh plus cry in bullring
sorry.... *hangs head in shame*
thanks hurshy
T/y Hurshy & Cmith....Still have a long way to go, but at least the h's are done. The ma's look overwhelming....
it's ok lupe, we forgive you
gracias hurshy
Lupe613: Truly okay - even changed my icon to show I am (grumble, grumble) getting into the seasonal spirit
Cmith - very nice.
alrighty, down to the to's and 9 to go. i'm feelin it now...
So, I still need to find a Chronicles of Narnia book, a manicure set for an 8-year-old (going on 30) and stocking stuffers for the dogs. Anyone have a direct line to Santa?
Wow -- go Hurshy! :)
and.... DONE! woohoo!!!!
try his email - ihatexmas@hotmail.com
csmith - call 1 800 - 574 - 6453 (it spells Kringle!!) kidding of course!!
Congrats Hurshy - I guess that means you can go shopping now - *bites own tongue*
lots of great monkey icons today. :D
k's done
sadly, cmith, that's exactly what it means. that and housecleaning.
oh goody, my ranking is fixed now too. i am the proper degree of hotness once again.
alright i think I ma done for now. I will be back later. I am going to have some more rangoon :P
oopss..gotta go...meeting to attend!
Hurshy....I don`t suppose you have a clue for the last ma7/32??
Yikes - I'm off too. Later
gotta go heat up my lunch.... later!
last ma7 - add to prev ma4. vaguely resembles king arthur's kingdom
I knew I should not have started this one. I have to go out now, singing carols all evening. And tomorrow night we will be putting on a special (free) carol concert for Senior Citizens.
Wish I had more time to focus! Work is interfering with my need to Babble!
Good morning everyone -- I'll be popping in and out between batches of cookies all morning, so hope you'll bear with me.
Anyone got snow?
greetings
Hey Cybernan :) RobRob, reality is cruel :)
Nope, no snow here...a rather dismal drizzle, woo hoo. How about you?
Let's not do reality!!!
this is why I'm happier in my own little world :)
Nope...no snow...no rain
Where abouts are you? If it's no rain then I'm guessing you aren't in England :/
US...Washington State
that explains your lack of rain then *^_^*
and the lack of snow!!
(you can of course tell I'm English, since I'm talking about the weather)
harp - i thought about picking that icon but i figured someone else would have it for sure. :)
Urgh...I need snow :/ Friends in Vancouver are practically snowed under!
Welcome everyone, to another complete bastard of a Babble.... I really wish the Big Guy wouldn't keep lulling us into a false sense of security like this.... First only 31 words, then over 200...
Movieman, find a happy place :) How are you?
Miy - have your feet dried yet?
Granadan...huh?! *checks feet* apart from odd socks, all appears to be in order
No - you gasve me a clue to last answer last night and I wa fott kissing if you rememebr? *spits cheese onto carpet*
I'm fine miy, how R U...? (Well, I was fine until I saw how many words I'm expected 2 locate 2day...)
Crikey - not drunk that much!! FOOT kissing and GAVE... Oh heck, not a babble night! *hangs head in shame and carries on munching biscuits*
awwwww its not such a bad one, Movieman!
uh! My feet will not except such insults...they're very sensitive. And freshly painted. Movieman, I'm good thanks...have hit a barrier with 116 words tho' :/
LOLs - wasnt meant asd foot insult - Im eating cheese and biscuits!
oooooh! *pats feet* "there there, my dears, see, she didn't mean it..."
Mind U, it really aggravates me when I discover there are so many 'k' words (and most of them are so damn obscure...) lol
oooh...deep breaths and all that *prepares oxygen mask*
sorry about that pause should have said.
hurshy-you were correct. I think she's a cousin to Lime Cat.
Hi again Sam :)
right. Now who has clues for my last 169? ^_^
when I've got my last 50, I'll help with your 169 :P
Careful Atalante, I may hold you to that :)
So, ne1 want to assist a brainless Babbler (i.e. me...) with the 8's, 9's & the b***** 10...? There may just be an extra-special pressie in it if you can...
thats fine! I dread to think how long these last 50 - well, now 48 - will take!
co 8/50 - fellow prisoners and co 9 - the plural
Hi all! it's monkey day, right?
da 8/45 - the name of a TV programme in America (I think). A blind da-- and an li 4
Hi Smaller :)
Hi Miya! Who's your icon?
Smaller, guess! It's Mr MYV...Miyavi :) In a santa costume o_O
anyone have clues for the last two na's? na6/18 na5/10
Figured as much, do you ever use the short guy (Kyo?) or are you a one-obsession girl?
hello all... ok here are the big a's am7/32 and 8/45 think fluid around baby and a card you would send.. an8/65 type of brakes on an auto ap8/50 9/66 first letter greek alphabet minus l + ni4/4 and pl
efor na6 is an au par...hope i spelled that right or a baby sitter (live in) na5 think of nickname for nathan with an s
Smaller, I pretty often use Kyo and other members of Dir en Grey...I'm far from a one-obsession girl! Currently I'm limiting it to all of DeG, MYV, Hide (dead), and the rest of X Japan. :D
ty baggo. never seeen na6 spelled like that when it wasn't plural.
thanks baggo! miya, does "dir en grey" translate to something english or is it just its name?
to 8/45 to have gone potty to8/40 and 9/54 french potty there are lots of other words around these three
Smaller, it does translate, but the translation is weird :/ 'Dir' is German for 'you', 'en' is French for 'in' and 'Grey' is just...grey. So Dir en Grey means 'you in grey'
...and, because you've got me started, the name 'Miyavi' means 'elegant'...
Hi kids! Meaty grid today, eh what?
as in a statement that the world isn't black and white but rather life exists only in the grey?
or am i pseudointellectualizing it? and really he's just a hot guy in a band with a quirky name
co 10/84 nat king "co.." + opposite ofgrand" pa" + alt spelling of opposite of day (ni4/4)
hi torgone! cute icon
*poof*
lotti, lotti lotti.... 8-)
ah, a lot of their stuff is quite deep when you translate the lyrics. So there could be any number of hidden meanings!
Baggo ;o)
...ooh, but you admit he's hot? ^_^
wooo hooo i'm done...**pours self large glass champers**
WOO! WAY TO GO, BAGGO!
Wow Baggo wtg!!!! *clapping like a mad woman* !!!!!!
grats baggo! :)
thank you all so very much....can i help anyone?
Yes please, Baggo! For a start: what are the words?
the words are various combinations of letters of the alphabet ranging in word length from 4 to 10 letters...
yayyy! go Baggo!
*pokes*
oooh atlante i love the icon...your work?
LOL Miyavi!!! ((((((Tor)))))) XxXxXxXx Baggo....I`m still not getting the last ma7/32??????
Heyas M_fan! smaller! Yay baggo! (((((((((XXXXXlottiXXX XX)))))))))
LOL
lol - people are being amusing, i see
Hey Tor! How are you? Smaller, if you refresh, there's our little friend. Looking like he's about to throw up :/
lotti, i assume you have the plural one, just change the last letter...last part of the word is the other word for rent or you le... an apt
just monkeying around, hursh, anyone know what tomorrow's theme is?
hello everyone!! any clues for the last ma 7/32?
Baggo - some help would B greatly appreciated...for a start U could help me with my last 9..... I already have the ap9, the co9 & the to9....
ma9/60 movieman think of man pants...it's the plural of the 8...
artlady is supposed to choose tomorrow's theme but i don't know if she has yet
LOL miya! musta been an action photo day
Woot! all 290 in 2.5 hours L D
oops sorry lotti...the last ma7/32 is what brits call a friend + a parking "l.."
woohoo for anj! : )
Yup indeedy...think it was during the shooting of a PV, so there was probably just more fake blood/vomit/murder/fire/insani ty than one guy can handle
wooo hooo anj....***pours another glass of champers and warms up the jacuzzi, cause it's gonna get busy about now**
thank you!
WOO! Nice one, Anj!!
Baggo i have that one.....this one comes between ma5/14 to make babies and ma5/12 friends.....
*bowing in front of Anj* I'm not worthy.... I'm not worthy.... lol
Just a flying visit! Sorry for the silence. I've had the log turned off as I have guests tonight and I'm doing the host thing : /
lotti, see the clue i just posted....
Oooo Thanks muchly Baggo.....got it now :)
Ho Rob -- we have snow -- and you can have it!
a clue for the ap's anyone?
baggo, ma - man parts? ma-penises, ma-prostates? ma-nobrain? pardon my mental blockage, more help please?
Pants not parts...or take the ma6/21 in front of it which is the alt spelling of the thing above your fire place and put an et on the end and pl
ma 8 & 9 -- think of it as a teeny shelf over your fireplace
cybernan one page back i gave clues for that one
hahaha oops. guess that shows where my mind is. oopsy! thanks baggo
2011 points, 135 words. something tells me i'm not going to finish this grid, lol . highest score so far tho :)
With all due respect, ma-penis really does deserve to be a word.
sorry baggo -- I'm doing this between batches of squares and cookies, so I'm not catching all of the log. I'll go look for it.
no prob cybernan...start off with the first letter greek alpabet minus l
exactly miya, as in the sentence, "mapenis is bigger than yapenis"
lol smaller...
Exactly!!! Especially if we take weird accents into account!
some personal info about me, huh? just kidding. no I'm not. I'm huge. kidding again.
Apparently, the size of a mans foot testifies to the size of his...equipment. I'm size 4 and 1/2...if I was a guy I'd be running around after swimming in school being whipped with wet towels!
Miy, don't believe that old myth... it has to do with his nose size, not his shoe or hand... You know what they say, big feet, big shoes (thats it!)
any help with the k's? i've got the one you fly and the one the scots wear, including plural and past tenses.
Right, gotta split and be the genial host : ) Oook! to you all, or maybe Eeek! if you're stuck. Might BBL but it will be under the influence, so then again, might not : D
And I'm a size 8.....so I guess that makes me pretty average then, huh?
Superman!!! *leaps into Mtn's arms* How are you? ...and how big is your nose? lol!
tut tut, Movieman...my best guy mate tops that with a size 9!!
I have an average polish boy's nose and proud of it! How are you sweetie?
LOL Miya! I'm 5'9" and wear a size 8 and a half, so I'd be whipping the towel. well, compared to you anyway. might make right, right?
See ya later Anj :)
I am a size 11 1/2, but it means I am average!
hush, mtn. your nose is...impressive.
I'm great thanks! School's out at last...*tweaks nose*
smaller - and I'm a size 8......so I'd B joining U with the towels, eh...
11 and 1/2!!! Wow! Ladies, form an orderly line, no pushing...
lol scouts mom!!!
Hmmmm... my memphis support group is totally in action today!
shoe size? My brother wears a size 15 or 16. Hi everyone!
yeah! more time to babble there Miy!
Superman, Memphis support group?
deutsch, is he single? can I get his number?
Deutsch - if that is so, then you're brother could probably go to a fancy dress party as a petrol pump....
scouts mom's comment... I thought it was sweet!
movieman, we'll have fun together whipping the snot out of miya to boost ourself esteem hi deutsch!
Yup, Superman...along with just generally being lazy and moaning under the ton of homework sadistical teachers have piled on us over Christmas.
Recently divorced, and I'd be happy to set you up!
Smaller, I feel it is my duty to point out to you that you are in fact a woman.
Movieman, LOL then, ewww, my brother! LOL
wow, no help with the k's there then, lol
miya the party pooper
Miy, just cause you are out of school, doesn't give you the right to be a smartie... what are your reading assignments ?
hmmmm...maybe not. last time I had a blind date the guy asked me if my lipstick shade was "a cry for help." then he insulted my daughter. not that your brother would do that.
LOL, I remember him!
movieman, ROFLMAO!
Can anyone help with clues for my last 3? I need the ha5/12 and ha6/21 that are between ha7/32 and ha4/5. And I also need the ma7/32 that falls between ma5/14 and ma5/12.
Smaller. You are not, as such, getting this, are you? Superman, it gives me every right ^_^ ...I think the worst lump of h/w is a 15 page geog project on conserving the rainforest :/
Well 34 left to get, but i must go.....See ya later guys :) (((((Tor))))) Tell them nothing. See you soon XxXxXxXxX
Scouts, Your date is a real loser! If Brother insulted you, I'd stomp him! I'm the big sister, even if he is taller, outweighs me, and is stronger! LOL
Hello all, I have a few moments to spend with you all...
tell them to require less homework (thusly less paper is wasted on silly projects) and you could probably save at least 1 tree.
Bye Lotti Hi shroeder!
...Huh, even that seems romantic compared to 'dating' at my school! It consists mainly of a bunch of greasy boys hanging around you for ages, until one of them draws the short straw and comes up with that touching romantic line, "my mate finks you're fit"
Her blind date wasn't anything to write home about, but G in Nash Vegas is totally cool!
LOL Superman!!! You really are Superman!
oH miya, you're just afraid I'll, at any moment, open up a can o'whoop a$$ on ya! I'm channelling all the jocks during my high school days. won't mention what else I did for them. just kidding! no I'm not. it was a needed service. just kidding again! no I'm not. very profitable too. just kidding again again!
arghhh I've had 2 words to find for the last 1/2 hour and I just can NOT find them!! *scowl*
smaller, I don't know if I should be afeared or oddly excited by your last statements...
*standing by with a bucket of cold water for Mtn*
mtnjock, then my work here is done : )
atlante what do you need??? can i help ya???
oh LOL they are the same ha5 and 6 that silky was asking about
*reads Smaller's post* Ah, Babble. Nothing quite like it to expose a 13 year old to the notions of prostitution
the ha5/12 and ha6/21 that are between ha7/32 and ha4/5 - please please Baggo???
LOL ... if done right, it only needs to be done once, otherwise, you should do it as often as it takes to get it done right!
silkysings drop last letter of ma 5/14 and add chap whose wife turns to salt in the bible let me know if you get the ha's i'm stuck with those too!
*hides under desk*
you dig a ho.. in the ground...and put an a in it with its pl
Moonlighting, Miya! Moonlighting. Don't da4/7-en entrepreneurialness. that'd be a lot of babble points. if it were a word
oh please Miy, you are not fooling anyone... Notions of extortion, prostitution and gossip are the main stays of teenage living... (LOL at least in high school thats what everyone talked about).
LOL mtn! Such devotion to quality!
WOOT! Thanks Baggo!!! *hands over nice chocolate things to say thank you* finished :)
You're right, Superman...only I found out through Dir en Grey song lyrics! ...the same way I found out what S & M stands for *shudders*
or if that doesnt work for those two ha's try a laugh + what a mexican would say at a bull fight
Stand and Model?
Hello everyone, late starter today, can you tell me how many of the little blighters I am looking for?
***gladly accepts nice choclate and pours nice glass of bubbly champers for atlante****
run mummy run mummy run.....290
I have been to those bars and nightclubs before.
mmmm thank you!! That was hard work but a nice puzzle!
atlante, finished with what? kidding!
woohoo for atlante!
okay that little note that i just wrote mummy, made me think of the song run joey run does anybody remember that one... daddy please don't it wasn't his fault he means so much to me, daddy please don't we're gonna get married...
finished being able to think ... I think ...!
If that's right, Superman, in Japan it means something VERY different. ...also, the word 'honey' in Dir en Grey songs does NOT refer to the sweet stuff made by bees. OR a pet name...*shudders*
Thank you baggo, got to 114 - might just run - to the nearest bottle of red, afterall it is Friday - party night
run, joey, run, sounds vaguely familiar, baggo!
baggo: quick joey small went over the wall! run, joey, run!
It means something very different all together Miy (S&M that is), but I use that term for some of the clubs I have been to, where everyone is there to be seen and to be gawked at ... Don't like thoses places much.
I'm back again for a bit. I've tried every which way fro the first na 4/4. I'm sure it's an easy one, but it's beyond me. Help please?
Yes...not going to go into it here, but...bondage... ...*scarre d by Dir en Grey songs* Okay, that's it, I'm breaking for food :) Later everyone
thanks raine and baggo...got em!
never mind. found it---purely by accident.
na4/4 type of Indian bread
nonny, it starts as it finishes with the double vowel in the middle...

Wow Sam I'm impressed, I only have 94 so far!
Stuck again - clue for the very last ma7/32 comes right after the ma5/14 which means paired? Those M's were a b----.
Argh...the Japanese translations I was doing earlier are making me keep wanting to put in the word 'nante'
There is no need to fight - there are plenty of words to go around. Especially, those freaking minerals and rocks, not to mention alcohols.
But Cmith, he started it!!

Lotti, I tried being less shallow, it was no fun.
Oh....I give up!!!!
another budding babble bond. what's sarky mean?
Ouwachita: ma 7/ 32 a sailor or a spouse plus an empty parcel of land
sarky - sarcastic. Just put into baby talk..."ooh! who's being a sarky-warky girl den?"
ty...got it....2 to go

Hi yoink, I skipped out for a moment.
It's ok, it was only 20 minutes I was ignored for :*(

Oh ok.
Ooh, ooh, someone tell me not to cry as well! Sorry, it's this song, it always does this to me :)
Don't cry M_Fan, look at Monkey, he'll cheer you up!
*wipes away tears* thank you...:) It's just the lyrics I think. "The road we walked back then is gone But I still walk along it anyway..."
Are you too young to have seen Monkey M_Fan? I used to love it and my 4 year old nephew does now too via my dvds, even though he probably has little idea what's going on. It's Japanese you know
Ooh, the magic word ^_^

hey marc - welcome back
hi all! thanks for the clues yoink!
Oggy, the last ha5 I have is the plural of a ha4 but I haven't got to the h's yet to narrow it down. The ha6/21 is like what you open a door with, but changing the d for another consonant
You're welcome Smaller! It's nice to be in a position to give them for a change :/
hi ren! love your monkey! yoink - definitely an omnipotent/scient feeling
thanks Yoink and hi ren, I still need a clue for the first ki5/18 and ko5/18
Marc, check Hazs's clue at 4:17
Any clues for pa 7/32 pa 8/50 pa8/45 Please
For the ko5, hmmm. the remaining 3 letters are what you get at the end of a text book to tell you what's in it with d and x taken off. Blah, it's the best I can come up with
yoink, its the ha5/12,6/21 they are the 4/5 from the bottom of the ha,s thanks anyway.
Yes, I have that won and it's past tense. I need the ki5/18 right after that one.
worked for me yoink, thanks
The only other ki5/18 is another plural, of things that fly in the sky
Yes, I have that one. The ki5/18 is the first one after the ki6/33. Oh thanks for the ko5/18 got it.
anyone have maryjo's p request at 4:30?
An 8?
Thank you Smaller... Good Looking out for silly old me
ki5/18 are what scots wear

Harp - what you use in your cars for little kids riding in the back....
ki4/8 - Scots attire ki6/33 - wearing scots attire ki5/18 scots attire (plural) ki 4/8 flying thing ki 5/20 - flew flying thing ki 5/18 flying thing plural
Ok PBr, another way to look at is a compounded word, a 4 letter word meaning a metal unit of currency and a 4 letter word meaning a friend
Harp - easier version - at 4/4 + lo 4/9
thanks Haz! now howsabout those p's? pity pity pwees!

Everybody's welcome! :D
Kristinarose, sorry? That doesn't help? Can I get another hint for an 8?
Not even the easy version???
Harp - it's the kind of brakes most cars have nowadays
Think of brakes..... an 4/4 (before the 8) + lo 4/9 (what you do with a key to your front door)
Hi Yoink!
Hi Hugabugs! Not on AIM?
maryjo- it's frightening how long the p's still took me to get and thanks yoink!
I'm still at work... finishing off my last 3 minutes
Oh, THAT thing for when kids are in the car. I was looking for "earplugs!" lol
LoL...
LOL Harpjane!
theres no an8
Babbling at work? Terrible ;)
I still need about 10 more P's.. all at the bottom
It's my last day, and now I'm on my way. See ya!
It is the last an.. Oggy
Bye hugabugs MaryJo- very ironic that's where p goes is "all at the bottom"
Huh..
an8 is the an4/4 plus what you use to secure the door at night
i have just finished.
woohoo for oggy! maryjo- p as in "pee" or "urine"; lame joke, sorry
Congrats Oggy, despite my clues I'm 65 words behind you

Sleep well.
Thanks Fishbulb, could've seemed pretty foolish there...
: ) lol
Could I get some help for the last ma7/32?
Yoink - ma 4/4 + "parking ***"
The last ma7/32 is French for sailor. ma4/5 meaning friend plus word meaning large amount, or piece of land
hehehe... no problem yoink - great moniker btw ;)
Opps.. I meant 4/5
Thank you Kristina and Haz for the clues and thank you Fishbulb for the compliment on my name :D You could say I "yoinked" it from the Simpsons
nice word, fishbulb (moniker) but now i keep repeating in my head
Hi all, just stopping back bye for a few more words..
just rolls of the tongue. moniker moniker moniker
hi schroeder!
smaller, how's it going
moniker moniker moniker
Hi Schroeder and Jessie :) I wish moniker, or at least it's alternate spelling wasn't a name, it just puts me in mind of Courtney Cox
may I have clues for the ap8 and ap9 and en8
oops. got caught babbling at work. ...um hi jessie! oh and moniker moniker
For the en 8 add a word - to 6/21 meaning worked hard
Haz, thanks so much. Now I remember that the en8 was in a recent grid :)
The first part of the ap 8 uses the first three letters of the proper term for greenfly. To this add one period of time, the opposite of day.
ap8 - add a short laught, then ni4
jessie- been thinking and babbling is actually studying for me too cuz need study people interactions for being a better salesperson. ergo, VERY work related. does that fly with Mr. BMP?
Pluralise for the ap 9.
Haz, thanks again, found the a8 and a9, now to look up the definition(s)
Thanks Hurshy and Haz, saw a greenfly clue earlier but it wasn't working for me..
oh and, moniker moniker moniker
were there clues earlier for am5, am7 and am8?
peri - dunno, but i got them by thinking about the fluid in which a baby resides in the womb
I have am 5 but am waiting for help with the other am's as well.
Hey smaller guess what.......moniker
MA 9? I'm dying here! Any help?
Haz, may I have a clue for the am5 please
Thanks, hurshy - got them now.
the 7 is the same first 4 as the 5, then change the vowel, then add french "and" backwards
Lol schroeder!!! i seriously think I've just developed OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder) with moniker.
ma 9 is pl of prev ma8, which is preceding ma6 + allow
smaller, you are pretty good at justifying babbling. KristinaRose333 is just as good.
The am 5 is almost like the womb fluid but with a different vowel ending.
oh, that may have been misleading. you don't double that consonant for the ma word.
what's the big deal about "moniker"?
jessie, you can just pucker up and kiss my lily white....moniker.
I don't kiss monkeys.
oh, i see. i read back in the log and i get it now. sort of. :)
sorry hurshy, fishbulb commented on yoink's funny name and referred to it as a moniker. I liked the word. a little bit too much
it is a nice word, i agree.
that's not what I heard
Li5/10 anyone? I'm sure I'm being stupid not seeing it but...
li 5/10 a type of fabric
Oh hi Hurshy too!
smaller, it is just a rumor - i mean it, it wasn't me
and a fish for you, yoink...
Yes, I was indeed being stupid and blind at the same time
hi yoink! yeah, i should say hi before giving someone a fish, shouldn't i? where are my manners?
The very last ma7? Then I must stop for a while.
*accepts his first fish solemnly and slaps himself upside the head*
ma 7 add to your prev ma4. the word ends up looking like king arthur's kingdom at the end
Harpjane, a friend followed by much, many
Gahh, I have missed such obvious ones now I am using the 2nd letter list
ty yoink! Now, could I please have clues for the 125 that I don't have yet?
so long folks! i'm going to see the 4th harry potter film at long last...
Harpjane, they begin with the letters from a-t and range from 4-10 letters, ok?
had to work there for a sec, you seem to be protesting a lot!
Night Hurshy :)
bye hurshy!
Harpjane - there are lots of words that work off to4/4. Think work and lavatories.
Bye Hurshy, enjoy the movie!!!
Hi All Anyone have a clue for the da8/45 Thank you!!
Hiya Speedfreak, sorry can't help... :(
Da 8 is a combination word - da4/5 plus li 4/4
Sounds like the refuge of the desperate singleton.
how do you spell "protest", i don't know what you are talking about. (denial)
coincidentally, you spell it like moniker. hahahahaha so i see you're still "right there"
LOL haz!
Help for the he6/24 that isn't the past tense of a he4/5?
Thx Haz1558 got it!!:)
There are 2 he 4/5's which have past tenses for the 6. One is a German word - the other, anagram of then
Back from the baking......... 24 still to find.
thanks haz
I have both of those Haz, it is the other one
hi again, I'm back I have only found 149 words so far...a long way to go.
oh, in that case, cybernan, you can give us all lots of clues!
hey shro - are you home yet? i'm not - to many people leaving town tonight for holiday vacations - and i'm near an airport - so i'll babble awhile ....8)
*runs back to babble for a sec* 2 fish! 2 fishes in the grid! I meant to say that earlier, but forgot ...
nm, I got it
he 6/24 - the last one. First three letters - to be he* up about something. Then add male.
At the risk of sounding like a cylon -- your wish is my command! in the meantime..... DE 5/12 and de 6/24 before and after de6 = discover
DE 5/12 and de 6/24 before and after de6 = discover? (forgot the query)
Cybernan, do you have the same whooshing red light in place of your eyes? That'd be cool
No Renfield, still here at work not hoping to leave soon but not looking very promising....
smaller, I looked in the mirror and there I was... No matter where you go, there you are?
LOL yoink! That would be pretty cool, cybernan! A cookie bearing cylon!
sorry -- mind you there have been times when my eyes were red and I saw swooshing red lights!
Wow I must be tired....I meant to say I am hoping to leave soon....I think I need a drink...
Yeah, we've all seen days like that. Maybe all the cylons were hungover?
sorry shro - all i have at the office is pellegrino - 8( if babbler were here - she could pour you a drink
Jessie, isn't that inherently self-centered? Yes, "you" are right there sometimes. But unless you're me, you're actually not right there. Because I'm already right there. And you're not me. Because I'm me. and right now, I'm right there. So if I'm occupying right there, you can't be. So right now you're wrong.
DE 5/12 and de 6/24 before and after de6 = discover?
Thats okay it gives me something to look forward to when I finally get home! Traffic here should be bad also, they say we may finally get snow on Sunday so the tourist will be heading up the mountain.
Sorry Cybernan, the de7 is the only de I have
my head hurts now. i'll have to do a couple of hail monikers to clear it. anyone know what tomorrow's theme is?
Found the greek letter -- just the last de (6/24) that I need.
I mean de6, my mind is going, I can see it heading away
smaller, this is getting too complicated... let explain... I'm here, you are not! If you ask KristinaRose, she will tell you I am rigth there----> I am not wrong. As for you, you are not there, the other desk is and you are not sitting there so you must be monkeying around somewhere.
Smaller, tomorrows theme is... MONIKER!
brain can't handle it. going to my mental happy place. and my home moniker moniker moniker bye all may the moniker be with you always
G'night Moniker, I mean Smaller
found it!

One de6 is to discover something by snooping around like a private investigator. the other is de plus s, plus male.

Would anyone have clues for the two HA7s? Most grateful.
They're both plurals of the ones above,mab...
ha 7 = little towns or one of the the bard's plays , plural

First one is double the famous Shakespeare Dane

(not sure I'll be here long, computer is having serious power problems, was hoping to get my last 20 words so am diving in..)
well this just bites. have to vent, guys. Got home tonight from a christmas party to discover someone commandeered one of my credit cards and charged almost $300 to it. I cannot figure out, for the life of me, how they did it cause we live in good ol' middle-of-nowhere Wyoming and I hardly ever use this particular card. eeeeeeeeeeeeeeek
Darleen, have you charged anything online recently?
artlady, not with this card. That's what has me so bothered about this.
Thanks mucho Ren, Griffs. Darleen, that's terrible.
Mab, my credit card company is already taking steps to remove the charge, they've canceled this account and are sending me a new card. But I'm worried about all the other cards. I'm calling those banks tomorrow to let them know.
Hello, everyone! Just returned from a week in Orlando - pooped like a 3 yo! Need two words, please. The HA5/12 and HA6/21 after the final ha7/32. Thanks.
charm, you lucky ducky. Were you at DisneyWorld???
Good move, Darleen. You can hope only one number is suspect, but it's best to be safe. We had someone try to run our number once, but the credit card company caught it.
We did SeaWorld, Universal Studios & the Magic Kingdom part of Disney. Next time, it'll just be the disney parks. Darlene - sorry about the card. yikes. That's everyone's nightmare....
artlady, well, yeah, but I'm just ... FLOORED that this has happend to me. About 2 weeks ago I received an email supposedly from an ebay member asking me a question. Without thinking (and I do emphasize that) I clicked on the link in the email. I worry now that (even though I have a Mac) I may have some sort of spyware on my computer. Highly unlikely but you never know.
Our credit card company put a fraud alert on our card because we were charging so much, and so far from home. We had to call them and confirm it really was us using the card!
Darleen, which part of Wyoming do you call home?
Thanks, folks. Just staring at the grid while chatting helped! It was that stupid hawaiian (apologies to hawaiians out there) derogatory word for white person (from my first grid ever). You'd think I'd never forget it....
Put them words on my tombstone: "You have 0 words left to find"
Way to go, griffums! Gotta go turn off the christmas lights....
way to go griffs - i have 1 word left - and tcm is showing danny kaye movies tonight 8) so i hope i can finish....
artlady, we're in sheridan .. just about 25 miles from the Montana border.
Need a clue? (don't pin your hopes on me, but)
Darleen, I've been through it...on my way to the Livingston area in Montana. Oh... I'm done!
i think it's the 2nd se 6
ok art lady!
artlady, congrats. And livingston, eh? Been there. I love Montana. It's just so beautiful.
Congrats, Griff! (just scrolled down)
In that case, you'd be part of the cream of the crop, top of the list, the se---- few....
Ren, the se 6...to choose?
congrats, artlady! Danny Kaye huh? Might have to abandon other plans. The chalice from the palace holds the brew that is true.
Same word on both clues ren...
where's that fish anj passes around - thanks griff and artlady 8) - now i can watch this silly movie
I'm right behind you - later everyone! <off to the TV set>
chalice from the palace was the 1st one up
Rushing to log off! Bye

ap + short laugh + good **** (swwet dreams) or ni 4/4 then plural
Thanks --- I got the 10 a little earlier -- before I went over to the neighbors, I was able to steal 10 mins while waiting for the baby to settle down and fall asleep :)
Also -- for those who may be interested -- the date has been set for the C-section to deliver my son -- it will take place on Feb 3rd :) (so if I am not around on that day, I am sure you will all understand)
ha 5/12 and ha 6/21 (4th and 5th from bottom)
the first el 5/10?
1st el5/10 -- e + li4/4 (the fuzzy stuff)
e+ naval l*** or e + dryer l***
so ren, which Danny Kaye is on now?
Thanks! I didn't know navies had li***. Are you sure you didn't mean navel, not naval? lol!
Of course, I've never been in the navy! Maybe it's more prevalent than I realized!
ha 5 = ha + mexican food resturant casa *** then make it plural
hahahahaha harp - LOL LOL - ok
Li 6/18?
sorry i don't know that restaurant?
li 6 = some more of that navEl stuff double the n and add 2nd vowel before the last consonent

and how about the ko5, just so I can finish the k's? sorta wish I'd known about the DK flicks but watching my one friends reaction to 'Finding Nemo' was almost as much fun as the movie itself! :D
35 left... can anyone help with e's? (pretty much all of them)
ko + 4th vowel + can you draw a straight ****
ko 5- a dialect of Greek
ko5-sounds like a piece of money

ren -- you've got Danny Kaye on in the background -- of course you are forgiven ;)
So. Artlady? Are you still there? What's our theme for Saturday?
Do you know if 'A Song is Born' is in the lineup -- the plot is rather weak, but the soundtrack is just way too cool in my book :)
thanks wolfie - they're putting on the boxing gloves
na6/18?
na 6/18 = they take care of children
na6/18 "au pair" or a live in person who cares for kids
this is the last one in the line-up
any clues for the o's?
oi = texas t = *** well + ed the male who owns the *** well
plural of that casa *** or ho*** in the ground
in6/18?
in like 6/21 = m + n
GW- inborn, natural
in 6/18-a trait that is inherited is in****, not acquired
well, I closed all the little letters I had open so I am happy -- still have 88 to go -- but if I want a live social life I have to make sacrifices ;D
