Mama, I think it was about a month ago my mum lost her voice, but its still not right!! She only had a couple of days where she felt ill. When she starts to cough though she can hardly breathe.

I am much better now... suffered with that awful flu/cold/virus thing for weeks... but am pretty much mended.....
Really, Lottie. And she hasn't said a word. Tell her to boil chopped garlic, take the pot off the heat, put a towel over her head and breathe in the steam. A doctor recommended it to me and it worked like a charm.
I`ve been fortunate enough to avoid it......I`ll know my mums much better when she begins to Babble again :)

Mab...she can speak, but in a yodel fashion!!!!! Her voice seems to come and go as it pleases during a conversation. When its ok, it is still not 100%.....she`s croakily quieter!!

The only good thing I can think of...is that I was in the BA old uniform, pin stripes and darted jackets and shirts and then about 1986 we went into the Roland klein uniform which was gorgeous,stylist and faberoo...good ole Roland. Sherb what part of the country are you?

Lotti that's gr8...I have no probs giving up sometimes I go several days without one,especially as I dont smopke in the house BUT I do enjoy my food, have always had a good appetite and do tend to start eating extra when i give up SO altho I'm gunna do it (when these 2 packs finish) I am gearing myself up for several sweeping changes by about Monday.....eeekkkk

Travel is so easy in Europe you would have a bunch of babblers attend. Finding a central spot in the states is much more difficult.

Lotti...Bristol is now wonderful...It has changed so much in the last 10 yrs,I love it as much as I hated it before...
I do know from my friend in England that Spain and the islands in that area are so reasonable. Your hotels and meals are very expensive compared to our prices. And, forget your gas prices. We have no reason to complain at all.
Dalmation: if you were to travel our 'Rail System' you'll soon find out how 'Reasonable' it is!!! :D

The states cannot even support a rail system. You'll never get us Californians out of our cars. Even as the gas prices rose we refused alternative sources of transportation.

I do not want to be rude but you can have France. I have had bad experiences there and the French are not very popular with most of the people I know. I know that some individuals would not fall into that category but I have yet to meet any!
I had to catch a bus on Wednesday!!!! To be without my car half killed me!!!!
I must say I got rid of my car about 5 yrs ago...and seriously don't regret it.....I have a racing bike and walk most places. It's also good because I don't have to ferry children everywhere, all the other parents do!!

We are so lazy here (and I am in that bunch!). We want to park right by the door to things and do not want to walk two extra steps. My friend is always amazed at how few people she sees out just walking and enjoying scenery.

Oh, I'd love your mother! I hate to feel that way as I really do judge people as individuals. But, sometimes that is just a bit more difficult to do.
Most people with cars here are lazy too....if they could drive right into school to pick their kids up they would!!! A lot of people like to walk in the various villages on the outskirts of our town as the scenery is wonderful and there are many footpaths etc

I am intersested in holistic/alternative medicine and am a Reiki Master but it seem that most people want to come for sessions at night or on weekends. I have had clients come to my home but was not making enough money. Looking into other holistic therapies but not sure which to chose.

tbear, I have thought of life coaching, not sure if it is what I want. Something to consider though. Have researched on the web and there are a number of schools. not sure which is the best. Would want one close to me. that I could attend in person. Not sure that I could do a course via distance learning.

No....distance learning..not good anyway it's such a people based thing that you'd need to interact with other students to balance views etc...

em7/36 - 1st 4 letters same as 7/32, whole word is alt sp for a painful compaint (usually spelt with an h)
angel..it has the same start as the other em 7.... but ends with the same ending of a word that means nothing
Angel - take the first 4 letters of your 7/32 and add a vowel + the unconscious part of your psyche

lola I was a bit late helping you there. I've been playing since last summer when Babble was mentioned in the Sunday paper. I'm not very good yet. I've only ever finished 2 small puzzles
maisie, no worries, all clues are good on the log : ) I also started then and play way too much, lol! I started by using the a2z a lot until Anj challenged me to do a grid without it and I enjoy them much more now. Also, BJ's second letter list speeds things up, remember how we used to have to try to copy down bits from the chat log?? : D

I use Explorer for dealing with Nortel applications which don't support anything other than Explorer. Only reason for using Firefox with Babble had to do with the log. Been a while so forgot exactly why I switched to firefox.

Just remembered. Had to do with the log and characters too long for the window. Explorer would blow the wordlist to the end of the page which made life impossible until the oversized word disappeared.
on babble fox fire refreshes almost immediately...explorer may or may not... foxfire opens a new page for dictionary when you click on the ? mark...explorer does not....
sometimes Explorer keeps refreshing every time there's a new post... I've thought of using Firefox for Babble, but haven't bothered loading it yet...

Mas: Don't know all the conversation about your son's 14th birthday, just tuning in, but what I can say is this. You did what you could afford, and that is just great. We had a few years of bad times re, $. My kids now all tease me about that time. But it made them better kids because of it. You did what you could afford, I respect you for it. Your 14 year old will turn out just great, probably tease you about it in later years, but you did the right thing.

Mama -- the only thing worse than that is when I forget that I have a load of wash in the machine in the public washroom in the apt complex and I want to go to bedm but have to wait the hour and a half that the dryer takes to dry the load (usually happens at 1:30 in the AM)

GW: Hmm, you haven't had contact with your mom since before the holidays? Our daughter calls us everyday except on weekends, she has a lot of friends. Our son calls once, maybe twice a week.
