c 7/32
bugger. got down to 70 words left. Not bad considering Ive been out all night.
Morning dear gang :D
Back with one of my favourite performers -- Andre Rieu
R7/28
193 today -- will be back later to actually hunt -- G'nite all! (*Hugs*)
q7/40
70 words in 20 minutes is pretty good considering the amount of alcohol I consumed last night. There are still people unconscious in my living room.
Big hug from me, Woulf. *hug*
sprite -- thanks for the song ;) (*HUG*)
Nite GW *hugs*
Hi everyone! :o)
Hi Hugs! *hugs Hugs* (I love doing that!)
Hi Sprite & Hugabugs
Can anyone tell me todays theme? Thanks
Favorite album cover
Well done, Dachef!
Thanks!
When I put a zebra in the washing machine and I put in too much bleach, wouldn't you say that would Un8 it?
Jacula - thanx for the clues earlier. Took me a while to focus on them, but thanx anyway!
I agree sprite....
Dachef, sound like you were having to much fun!!!
Night woulf
r7/28 x 2
r8/40
Debs is on a roll! :)
debs never got OFF the roll
Debs is a champ :) Nice ones, Debs!
lol... Morning Sprite & Darleen <<vodka & coke>>
sure! pass 'em over LOL
How could I refuse :)
Good job we have 24hr opening at pubs now.. If ever you come over I think we'll in one for a week at this rate!
REALLY? they don't close up early anymore? kewl!
A babble party - join at your own risk, lol! We would have tremendous fun. And hangovers, all of you. :)
No hangover unless you stop......lol
Just drink one glass of water for each drink and you won't even have a hangover when you stop :D
debs - this morning I am testamount to the joys of 24 hour opening. I have several people in my flat, got home an hour ago, and now we're debating where to go for breakfast. Marvellous.
Dachef, I am in!
Sounds great Chef... I'll be there in ermmm a few hours... get me one in!....
e7/28
p7/40
I think I'm only about 10 hours away :)
you cant beat being in great compant all night, and then deciding to push on till dawn. problem is, that dawn here isnt for another coupla hours, and several people are now unconscious. Lightweights.
R7/32
Get a hose on them... soon wake em up!
Drag them into the shower and give them a cold one - they'll be alright for breakfast in minutes :)
debs, sprite - tried that. Am still trying to find the other testicle.
Lol Dachef!!
Always willing to help you find it, of course :)
Just wear bigger boots Chef... YOu can't miss!
just had the usual "its half past bloody six. Why aren't you asleep? Oh God, you're playing that stupid game again. Wake me up in an hour" speech. Some people just dont understand.
C7/36
n8/45
STUPID GAME!!... Go slap em... HARD...lol
Was just trying 'trippy' but it's not there. GRRR!
Dachef - Just had something like that myself but it was a wordless one. Same thing though. What's that song... 'Don't worry... ' etc.?
Hail and hello to all....
Still think Dr_God should give us the edit/delete option for posts on the log though!
Hi Blaze, how is your little?
Morning Blaze...
schro.... she has slept most of the day... I am sure that sleep is the best thing for her right now... her lip is still a mess though... I need some old time remedies for healing fever lips.....
Jacula - why?
d7/36
Hello! Favorite album covers.
Dachef - because sometimes we make silly spelling mistakes, sometimes we say daft things, and sometimes we speak truths that can be read that may bde should not be... either by partners or by bosses or by journalists etc. For me, it's just being able to correct somehing, esp. if a clue that I've got wrong somewhere along the way.
See what I mean? LOL!
whew have the q's nailed to the word tree.....
Harp, me dear, it's been 'Hello album covers for me for 6 & a half hours+ now. LOL.
I think the Qu should be worth more points.
I glad to hear that she is able to rest, I wish I knew a clever remedy that worked, but hopefully someone here will....
Jacula - but surely its the speeling misstakess that make us all human? We all have little quirks and isiosyncrasies - one of the best things about the log (for me personally) is that it quite often reflects those little quirks and personalities. Its what makes it so much fun?
I admit I am a quirk!.......
And I can only just about say the other word let alone spell it!
Jac and dachef.... I am not sure if they are spelling mistakes or typing mistackes....
if everyone was perfect, then everyone would be like me, and that wouldn't be any fun...... ;)
Blame the keyboard Blaze.....
Schroe - no idea what is wrong with your child's lips but if it it swelling and/or bruising, then try Arnica or Witch-hazel.
lol@chef
Jac.... actually it is my grand daughter... she has been having high fevers which are under control but has fever blisters... have been trying rescue remedy.... but they are still looking very nasty and swollen....
Hi Blaze, how's the little one? Sorry I had to leave you guys alone for a while. My kids can be SO unreasonable. They wanted some of my time, of my attention and they even wanted BREAKFAST!
Dachef - rofl (really) and it ain't no good for my middle-aged bones to do such a thing, not to mention the fact that it disturbed (and p'd off) my partner and 2 'Kids' (nearly 19 and nearly 21) when I did so!
Sprite she is mostly sleeping... I giggle when we call her a little one... she is 5' 8" with a slight body.....
LOL! That's quite a little one :)
Blaze no mattet how big they get they will always be our little ones.....:)
Only when she is sleeping quietly.... LOL
Did I say 'nearly 21' for the eldest? I should have said 'nearly 22'. Omigod! Where DO the years go??
Scho... how true
I know Jac, it's still yesterday here, though!
Thank you, Harp. Now I've got the damnd Carpenters' song on my brain jukebox - Yesterday Once More.
I feel like a schoolboy at a teachers meeting. You all have kids my age. OMG! Actually, its quite good! I havent felt this young in ages. Anyone else up for a misty prance through a field of daffodils?
Always, Dachef. And my little ones are still somewhat little (don't let them hear it), they are 9 and almost 8. :D
morning all :) dachef - I'm up for a bit of prancing ...
Ha Chessy!
Suddenly, Dachef has become William Wordsworth!
Thought he always was?
Jacula - thats always what happens when you stay up all night drinking! I do a lot of writing, and the best stuff always comes out at 6 am just after I build a tower of lager cans from floor to ceiling!!!!!!
Had to go and drag Damian reincarnated out of bed.. bless her!
If anyone hasn't mentioned it yet... t7/28 and t7/36
debs... god bless you....
And you, Debs :) Dachef, guess I usually catch you at this hour, lol.
Dachef - control yourself! You have to be Dylan at the very least! LOL. *Note to self - must find Dorothy Wordsworth's poem she meant to write if her brother didn't interrupt her so often. I know it's in my computer somewhere.....*
I've lost track Hugs...
"give a poet a pen, and he will write. Give a poet a bottle of wine, and he will inspire....."
They have been mentioned, Hugs, and I believe there are at least 2 T7/28's.
"Give a poet a deadline, and he will expire..."
I can't be a poet then.. Give me a bottle of wine and I'd be comatose!
Dachef - you must tell my present life's partner this.
Poets and writers work best when left in peace after being under pressure.
Hey jac - if it makes you feel better, I'm just now drinking that Gunness. Temps perfect! And 97 words already.
They think all the stuff and even try to write it whilst under pressure, but they can't always remember or read what they wrote...
D7/36? And that's my 100 :)
71 words so far on this grid.
Hoot - you're a good few words ahead of me then! Well done, you!
c7/32 x 2
c7/36
"I close my eyes only for a moment and the moment's gone... Mmm..mmm... in the wind...." Today's grid is something like a jukebox, puts an earworm in my head every other word.
Another one, Debs?
gonna go for brekkie - wake up the multitudes scattered all over the living room. Be good y'all! And god luck! I'll be back when I've recovered, but probably not so verbose!
Cya Chef... enjoy & take care :)
God luck to you too, Dachef :) And enjoy breakfast.
There are 3 c7's
Bye Dachef, a have a good breakfast
Yes, 2x 28 and 1x 36. Had been mentioned already, I wondered if there were 2 C7/36.
And now, due to the 'in the wind'clue, I've got The Champion Moaner of the 20th Century in my ears now, Bobby D.... you all know what song! AAARGH!
Just ignore me Sprite... I've lost the plot..
nm Debs, I have all the Cs now and am not wondering anymore :)
Well I shouldn't have stayed on so long. Didn't do what I needed to do so i'll be up for an hour finishing. Not sure I'll be on tomorrow night. Have a good one everyone. Good night.
Nite Hoot...sweet dreams
Night hootowl :)
e7/28 x 2
Hoot, if you need a clue or two I might still be here, trapped listening to those ruddy Bobby D songs! Just yell if you need me!
hehehe. Hope not. I'm gone.
mornig every one!
Morning Unicorn
mornign how are you today?
I'm OK... It's the others!
otehrs? LOL
*Mutters to self. Bob Dylan songs are almost as awful as Leo Cohen songs. Donovan songs are better! (Smiles a little now.) Shall we all talk about Clifford T. Ward songs? He was an English teacher and it showed in his lyrics. He's gone from us on this plane now, but I woul d never fault his lyrics..
I'm always OK Unicorn... then some "other" always spoils it.....lol
80 words. Good time to stop. Ok Jac, it's today now!
LOL i know the feeling
Hey... there is Canadian money in this grid...LOL
My Mum's going there this year.. I'd better find it and give her some!
debs.... it is a coin.......the slang
Beg with a c?
we have change coins and coins to replace paper money... one is a Looney the the other a Tu>>>
cu4/6 and 5.14 sure surprised me in that they were accepted! Old English words though - acceptable once but maybe not now.
Found it Blaze... Cheers I'll tell my Mum she needs loony's and t....'s...lol
Jac.... definitely not in this girls company... i refuse to put them in... they have been in other grids too....
Debs.... she will get lots in her change....
Done. Anyone who wants a clue?
WTG Sprite :)
Sprite... the directions to the money tree would be nice... LOL.... enjoy your day...
LOL! Would share them I I had them, Blaze... should be a very fruity tree. Great day to all of you!
'Bye all!

i have two of the three qu5/16 but not the third one
sorry i'm at work had to go take care of some stuff back now
morning peeps,im stuck on 35 words cant see no more
the qu 5/16 is the root for several of the qu words... when some is going to do work for you they give you a qu*** then add endings
thank you on qu7/40 i had the ones that went with that one but i'm still missing a qu5/16 and a qu6/27
onedef: A primitive hand-turned grain mill and the plural...... sounds like turn

I don't understand what you mean when you say "I don't have the grid" - do you mean the stats? Y - 4 U - 5 T - 46 S - 21 R - 29 More later

LOL
Take the re4/4 and add 3 letter to make it "more so" than make that word plural.
thanks
Also, 8 ce's 1 cr5/12 5 cu's 12 du's 1 ec4/6 5 en's 5 er's 1 et6/18 5 ey's 1 ir4/4 7 le's 3 ne's 2 nu's 3 oy's: I can give you more if you want them. :)

Hi all! : ) The Y's: longs for, jewish gossipy woman (and plural) and abom snowman : )
Hi lola :)
Er...longs for?? Sorry, it's a currency! : )
Hi chessy! : )
thank you
hi lola!
Hi atalante! : )
this is a fun puzzle!
mmm, it is a nice one, isn't it? : )
still hate those 're' words tho :/
I long for currency
chessy, yes...four of those are hiding extremely well!
*happy* both 8s done!
gramma, LOL! Sorry about that, don't know where my mind was : /
Oooh, well done atalante! How about some clues for us lesser babblers?? ; )
lesser babblers! yeah right!! LOL
8s: nu8/45 - the good bit of the food you eat re8/40 - stupid word - builds off the very useful re4/4
Lola, at least you have 1....mine has been gone a looong time. I dont really miss it much
gramma - I had one once, but the moths got it :)
gramma, when I say 'mind' I really mean monkeys... ; ) Thanks atalante : )
Chessy, I forgot...what were we talking about? Oh yeah, I think it was
mine's mashed after no sleep..... again ! : /
Thanks, Atalante, got both 8's :) good way to start the morning
Morning
Hi babbler! ((x)) Awww, battling to sleep again?? : /
Mornin Bubbles
Hi Lola, ((xx)), yup! I tried for 3 whole hours..... then I thought, may as well watch Big Brother..... : )
Hi bubbles! : )
thanks for 8s, Atalante! morning all! : )
what's your album, Lola?
Dire Straits, Alchemy Live.... the soundtrack of my youth...lol! : )
Dire Straits - fab! Dire STraits live - even fabber!
atalante, I prefer them live. Not sure why, could be because I love alchemy so much : )
Lola, I had to look it up in amazon...... and I know nearly all the songs!! lol!! :D
babs and atalante, we shall have a sing along when we finish the grid! : D
I'm in the puzzle today!
I wish I'd seen them live more than once - but that once was wonderful!
Yes you are! Happy peri-day everyone! : )
lol, Lola!! You're on!! : )
Aaaargh! *lola is not talking to atalante any more...she is too busy sulking* Okay, I have to ask....where and when atalante?? : )
Brothers in arms ... somewhere in London! isnt that *awful* - I cant even remember which London venue it was in!
babbler, I'll nip out to the shops and buy us all lighters in a sec! : D
Morning all
lovely pic Yoink! What's it from?
morning everyone
if you do that, Lola, I'll only roll a ciggie! lol! :D hey Yoink! what's your album? : )
Hi yoink! : ) atalante...*sigh*....I bet they were amazing...
It's Among my swan by Mazzy Star, beautiful album
Hi mia! : )
I have to say - sorry lola - they were *fabulous*. Just wonderful wonderful wonderful
Atalante, I recognise yours..... but remind me anyway! (sleepy-befuddled brain here) : )
Oh yoink, are you a mazzy star fan??
morning lola :) finding this quite a sticky puzzle today, haven't found many words!
of course, Yoink. I recognised it. Didn't you recommend that to me?
hi mia : )
mia, just relax into it and the words will start appearing ; )
its James - I cheated a bit and have got their "Best of" album, because I couldn't decide which of all their others to choose! And I like the daisies.
Lola, I sure am! I adore Hope Sandoval's voice, so dreamy and ethereal Babs, yes, I recommended it a while back
thought so, Yoink. It's in my wish list in amazon..... one day..... : )
yoink, I love the stuff I've heard and have always meant to track more down. It has been added to my list! : )
blimey, there's a very naughty word in the puzzle today!
mia, two actually....don't forget your plural! : )
Good morning Atalante-have the u8, but can't find th re8-am going around in circles. Any nice hints for the mentally slow?
Hi eva : )
hi Eva! : ) use your eyes..... ;)
any help with the u's?
Hi lola! Have to change my icon, but really don't have a "favorite" album. Have loved so many of them. Have to think.
Tis a stupid word Eva - take the re4/4 and stick a muddled word version of an angry i4/4 on the end
is the theme what your favourite album looks like? or is it the album cover you most admire?? mine's the cover art I most admired. : )
eva, I know what you mean! I have a few others I might put on later too : )
There are several r4/4's-do you mean the one for an apartment?
Got it! Is it french or what?!
oh sorry - the one you have to pay to live somewhere
no idea! sounds french though, doesnt it?
mia, un plus: what you pay monthly for accomodation, what you do when you are tired, 'put in the post', and what jelly has to do before you can eat it! : )
....and the us4/5 is another term for a drug taker : )
What is your album Babs?
how many words are on the grid today?
still can't get that re 8 :/
it's Japan, 'Gentlemen Take Polaroids'. It was my first favourite album cover. : ) (I might change later too!)
193 today, unicorn : )
Unicorn - 193 today
thank you
The re8 is indeed French and it is someone who lives off of monthly income. Hope that helps. I really couldn't think of a favorite album cover-could have gone back to ones of childhood, but it wasn't the covers I loved, but the insides. So I chose an album I would never be without...the unaccompanied cello suites of Bach. It's a toss up between Yoyo Ma and Pablo Casals.
ah, found it, finally!
yay mia!
44 left. Cat/stove time feed/stoke time.
Just don't get mixed up and put the cat in the stove...
Yoink! LOL! : D
good morning!
Hey babs, atalante...guess what just started playing on my lastfm radio?? Telegraph Road! : D
hi Angel : )
Hi angel : )
how perfectly appropriate! :)
synchronicity strikes again! : )
*sings* Well a long time ago, came a man on a track, walking 30 miles with a sack on his back.... : D
*croak*
*croaky giggles* : )
Awww, poor babs! lol! : D
Hi Angelsong
heheheh *sniff!* :D
*lola hands babs box of tissues*
oh thank you, Lo! : ) *gratefully accepts*
*mutters* why is Hayden Christensen so hard to draw, and why do all my friends want me to draw him for them? *sigh*
Hi everyone!
hi Deutsch! : )
HI deutsch
Atlante, you'd think he'd be pretty easy, he always seemed pretty 1 dimensional to me in the star wars movies...
Hi Deutsch :)
*sings* 'Cos I've run every red light on memory lane, I've seen desperation explode into pain...and I don't want to see it again... Pass me a tissue babs, that bit always gets me : ' )
Hi deutsch! : )
*leans over with box of tissues for Lola* awwww! : )
he's got a weird face though - there's just a few bits that aren't quite normal - I mean easy to draw - I can never get his eyes *quite* right
Album covers, eh? I just typed in one of George Carlin's 7 dirty words. I think I better clean up my act and find an album cover.
oh, I had some more ideas for themes! Movie Posters Household objects aye?
*lola grabs tissue from babs, blows nose and then proceeds to play air guitar....*
babs, I like both of them! : )
*Babs raises lighter for Lola*
Oh my goodness, that song gives me goosebumps EVERY time! : )
favourite food! favourite drink!
ahaa!! Cocktails!!! have we had cocktails yet? (we've got favourite dessert scheduled, Atalante) :)
have we? perfect! but I second cocktails!
cocktails sound good! : )
Oops, time to pick up small person....see you later : )
top tip from Evanadine - if you save my profile as Favourite or Bookmark it, you'll be able to see it whenever you like! : )
see you later, Lola : )
Bye Lola
bye lola!
WHATS ON PEEPS
mornin fellow babblers!!
heh! talk of the devil.... ; ) hey Evanadine!
Hi Evanadine :)
devil? ME? };->
nooooo, just an expression! not YOU!! as if!! I was just sharing your great tip of saving my profile as a favourite, so people can see the list of themes whenever. : )
ahhhhh. yes, im brilliant...and idiot-savant, if you will. ;)
clever little piccy tho'! :)
heh, made it myself! mornin yoink!

I'm going to try for a nap. See you all later! : )
nightie-night babbler!
How you doing H
Hi all, Just stopping in for a quick lunchtime babble break, can anyone help with a clue for the 1st se6/27?
Hi Fmitch, it's breakfast time here!
Hey Deutsch ... and somewhere it will be dinner time too, don't you love all these time zones!
Yeah, yesterday someone was going for a cocktail, and I had to check the time. seemed early for me, but was actually happy hour for her!
East coast perhaps Deusche?
fmitch, Is that tubular bells? Exorcist movie?
*perks up* im on the east coast. :)
Yes, evanadine and I are from the same area in the east coast.
morning everyone!
I live in Baltimore, Maryland
mornin jen -- yet another east-coaster!
Hi Jen!
from the same 75 mile radius! :)
Hi eva! yes it's tubular bells - couldn't choose one fav album cover for todays theme as so many but at least this one is fairly clear to view :) Thought you must be, workd for US Co's for many many years east & west cost so got used to the time differrence.
deutsch -- i guessing ive probably asked you this before -- which part of bmore do you live in?
Evandine, Can't remember if you asked. LOL I'm in Butcher's Hill, about a 15 minute walk from Fells Point and, going the other way, about 15 minutes from the Harbor.
ooh, how very convenient!
my BF lives in bmore county (rosedale, kinda near white marsh) but i think he kinda fears bmore city...hehe... i live in crofton, about 20-30 minutes south of the city and i know it better than he does!
Sadly, I know nothing of Baltimore. One of these days, we'll get up there for more than just a baseball game.
Yeah, it's fun living in the city. I grew up in a small town. But city life is for me!
jen -- theres a girl who used to work in my office who lives out near rosslyn or arlington (she moves around a lot...heh) she + her BF took a "big vacation" when she worked here -- they bought amtrak tickets and travelled to baltimore for the weekend so they could go to the aquarium...hah *eye roll*
Baseball? The have baseball in bmore? Sadly, I'm not much of a sports fan.
FMitch, try another word for next showing or installment
Oooh, sounds terribly exotic! And to think we were thinking of doing a Bahamas cruise this summer... no way now! lol
seriously -- amtrak to baltimore. DUH!
I have a county friend who thinks everyone in bmore drives renta wrecks because we live in the city. Not really clear on that thought. fmitch, why don't you come over to the east coast for a visit?
ingle - thaks for that but unless I am missing somethings that is the last se6 not the 1st one.
My hubby grew up in a small town in north Florida... going to the city meant going to Pensacola.
Would love to Deusche, only been to Boston a couple of times, know west coast best, still have loads of air miles left from the pre 911 days when we travelled at the drop of a hat. Not so keen on it now.
ok all, its my breakfast time! be back in a bit!
Later evanadine!
See ya later evaN
hello, how you getting on today neets/ daddy how many words today please?
Hi 193 words today good luck
I agree fmitch. I haven't flown since 9/11 but only because I don't like the lines and taking off my shoes. We like to drive across the country visiting relatives and strange sites.
thank you rosalind
I have to run. Be back in a bit!
Bye Deutch!
Bye for now Deutsch!!
help with first two tr7's?
hello mummy, only up to 90 words but only been on half and hour, hoe you doin? did merv have a good bday?
nothing exciting today -- cereal it is... but at least they had unopened milk cartons today! *woohoo!!*
Hi Anita only got 50 so far, b'day was good, went to Indian, must get together and play that game
Woo! Fresh milk! :) Mine wasn't much more exciting, whole grain English muffin with a wedge og Laughing Cow cheese.
everyone in the office is into babble now! oh and i am no longer know as love, i have the signed paperwork at last!!
that was quick - does that mean it's official?
anything with cheese is yummy in my book! i was complaining to someone (i think it was babbler?) last week about the fact that people here will open the milk cartons in the refrigerated case to pour milk on their cereal + put back what they dont use...it drives me nuts because i dont want milk from an opened carton, but these people are too cheap to buy a whole carton! so when they restock, its an exciting day in sami-land hehe
Yeah, I remember the convo and totally understand. You never know where other people's fingers have been.
yes all official as of yesterday! I couldn't stop smiling all evening, just waiting for the abosolute to go through
i just dont understand the mentality. in college, they had a milk machine, so you could take what you wanted. thats fine. but if it comes in a carton, you buy a whole carton! *le sigh*
yuk, can't stand milk at the best times... much better with a nice glass of red wine
mummy -- not sure red wine goes with my honey-nut cheerios...hehe
When I was working, there was no community stuff except the coffee. We all labelled all of our stuff.
might be worth a try evan, liven up brekkie!
honey nut cherios and champagne, I can imagine that! lol
not much community stuff here either -- this is in the cafeteria where you hafta pay for it. it makes me curious if/how much the cashiers charge for people who put milk in their cereal. personally, i think they should charge for a whole carton. and if youre already gonna pay for it, why not just take the whole thing??
heh, i have yet to consume inside the office... but i have gone out a few times for liquid lunch!
neats, must get a look at your word list, I still have only 59, and congrats on your new name.
Where my hubby works, they keep a bottle of vodka up in the freezer at all times. :)
*gets out pen and pad* where does your hubby work again jen? ;)
Yuk, Vodka, got absolutely blotto on that aged 17 - haven't touched the stuff since
When I was teaching there were many times I wished we had one too!
any clues yet for the 8s? (or for the N-word starting from the center N?)
NOne that I've seen... I'm still working on the tr's
eva: nu8 = found in food, these are vital to good health. re8: a french term for one who lives off a monthly income.
nu8 is not plural....
thanks angelsong!
welcome, eva...like to try to do my part.
ya dont happen to have the N-words starting with the center N, do ya? that ones gonna drive me batty until i fin dit...heh
not yet...
Hi guys, I'm back : ) EvaN, only got two of the three ne's...the goose and what it lays it's eggs in : )
Hi all, Evanadine, I have no idea what it is, but it goes down, left, up-left then right
finally had to use babblers anon to find it before i lost my mind...heh... Ne5 -- think of another name for geeks or dorks...then change the 4th letter.
seems its slang...used to express disgust.
ive certainly never heard it. *shrug*
Er, could I have some help with the last en7/28 and the et6/18, please??
lola -- the Et6 goes on forever!
Thanks evaN....that one always gets me! : D
YW :)
Hi everyone! I'm back again and here to stay for a while. Homicide needs my police trainees to search the woods, so class is cancelled.
Goodness Deutch! Something big?
I don't know, Jen. I hvaen't heard. so I'll check the news. Sometimes living in the city does have its drawbacks. :(
Lola en7 plural of the 6 above or an anagram of that plural!?!
Very interesting. Maybe I'll check the news as well.
Aah! Thanks mari! : )
Now that I am to the bane of my existence, the re's, I am going to head to the gym. TTFN!
lol! 'bye jen : )
Well done - when I reread the clue it made no sense to me !!

my album is a singer named sarah masen, this was her debut album. and i am so happy because... my "adopted" son just told me that he got A's on two history papers from before christmas! you should have seen the cute, shy way he told me - he was obviously so proud and happy, as am i. now i think his cumulative grades are 3 A's and 2 B's. i am SOOOO happy.

Greetings, fellow Babblers!
Hi jera! : )
Hello all! :)
Hi toes! : )
((( lola )))
Angelsong, thanks for the re8 clue but could you elaborate a bit? French is always a mystery... thanks!
Lola, have done battle with the r's and am finished! Hi to all that have just arrived.
Hi FMitch ... is that Tubular Bells I see?
How goes the grid today? Not too big, but is it a toughy?
So far it's not hard, Jera.
Hi ch1212 - it is indeed!
ch1212...take what you pay every month for accomodation, lose the last letter and add the first ti5/10.
Woo! Well done sis! : )
Lola you are terrific. Got it!
going to go and look for another icon now, fancy a change BRB
Good, gotta go sell Girl Scout Cookies this afternoon, so I need to do some work around the house while the Sprite's at school...
Lord I am about to fall asleep! I am going to get up and move around before I get fired. Until later HUGS!
I need a clue for one of the ye 4/6 words. I have the one that means desires.
ye4/6 - the abominable one!
ye japanese Money
Thank you Fmitch. I have a friend who swears he saw one.
Hello everyone... :) ...FMitch my two albums to choose from we're this one (first ever owned album, bought for my 12 birthday) and the one you've chosen (for smoochy reasons!! some years after my 12th birthday hahahaha).....good choice
Hi tbear, Bridge over Troubled Water - great songs, not sure which icon you are seeing for me now as I just changed from Tubular Bells to Pink Floyd. Thinking about it I still have all my albums!
ah, tbear . . . it was a tie
*flinches* im awake!
Was still looking at Tubular Bells...which was digitally remastered in 2004...incidentely! Talking Pink Floyd, Dark Side of the Moon is another one with great memories of youth....have you heard 'DUB side of the moon'....really cool
need help with the second re6/18, please...
This is F****ing hard!!
Hi tbear! *sings* I am a rock, I am an iiiiiii-iiiiisland! I'm coming to visit you this weekend : )
angel, it's the stuff they use to change milk to cheese : )
Yes you surely are...Lola...looking forward to a chilled Sunday aft/eve. Chris does a GOOD Sunday lunch,if you're both interested...keep it in mind. Would offer to cook it for you myself but don't have dining table at the mo. Remind me to give you your tickets for Jane Silbury
tbear, will keep that in mind! Remind me to give you the money for the tickets...lol! : D
out of practice here ... are there any 7 or 8 letter words in this game ? haven't played for a year I think!
Hi Dim, 16 7 letter 2 8 letter
are we having fun yet???? 8)
hi ren.... ; )
hi renny - you're in the grid!
Hi ren : )
Hey everyone, back form the gym! How are all you wonderful people?
Hi ren, I'm not doing well. I still have 133 words to go.
Hi jen! Ready to do battle with the re's?? : )
Hi Jen, I just got back, too. But not from the gym. LOL
Deutch, if it makes you feel any better, I still have 107 (including all the re's)
Ah, got my work cut out then. What's with all the fancy icons? they weren't there before!
57 left to go here. :)
things have changed a bit dimwit. You can pay a one off sum and you get upgraded to pro which give you a stats panel and the chance to show flag etc. Also if you go to the link on the right (avainable to everyone) Babblers Anon and then go to general and stats you will see the breakdown posted for todays grid
Sounds good, I'll explore..........
Well, I gotta break with 79 to go... a bit slow for me today for some reason... not enough caffeine, perhaps. Back later (I hope)!
Bye Jera, Slow for me, too. I have 123 to go.
Hello babblers one and all. My icon is of the first album I ever bought as a wee child, Joni Mitchell, Ladies of the something. The other was one of the first Simon and Garfunkel -- I was a brooding child.
Hi Mab!
Hi Deutsch! How are you post-upper GI?
Hi mab! : )
i say hi to all of you and my phone rings.....hmmmm any connection?
RE and UN - how unfair! And 98 words to go.
my gi was a piece of cake, just like you said, Mab! thanks for the encouragment. I surely needed it. BTW, nothing serious showed up. but it did answer a few questions.
are you thinking what I'm thining, Ren? (conspiracy! or maybe a babble voodoo curse! We must get that amerian director whose name I've momentarily misplaced on this -- the one who did Apocalypse Now, etc, the insane one.)
kubrick?
Er...isn't he..um...dead?
Sounds like relatively good news, Deutsch; I'm so glad!
kubrick is dead...not sure if he did apocalypse now, though...heh
No, not kubrick, the one who did a film on the kennedy assasination....
coppola directed
Oh right. This guy is quite famous, dark hair, looks paranoid all the time....
oliver stone?
YES! Thanks Evana! He is truly insane.
francis ford coppola
heh, had to run down the list of directors i could remember!
Movieman, are you out there? We have a discussion with your name written all over it! LOL Thanks again for the encouragement, Mab!
HI - Hope all the sickies are feeling better today!
g'dafternoon lupe!
Quentin Tarantino?
Hi lupe! : )
oops. didn't see that someone already answered but that guy is nuts too
I'm confused on the war films. Coppola, Apoc Now; Kubrick, Full Metal Jacket. Rented the latter but haven't watched it yet. Generational fascination with Vietnam (although I was young.... very young).
Stone did Platoon
coppola did apocalypse now....i don;t know about the kennedy assisnation...don;t discuss as i don't want to get knocked off as well....
If you are talking the movie JFK, that was Stone as well.
how about the deer hunter?
Tarentino? Insane. Loved the uma and travolta flic though. Where is Movieman when I need him.
Pulp Fiction was the Travolta/Tarantino movie
mab, that was pulp fiction : )
surfing was great in apoc now.....
Thanks Jen. so many misplaced bits of info in my head. Oliver Stone was the one I was originally thinking of.
Hey, I'm here to help. :)
Saw Lost in Translation by Sofia Coppola last night. Slight, but great acting.
Slightly more intellectual than what I watched... Herbie Fully Loaded
i watched sitcoms.... "2 1/2 men" hehe
Only a little. is that about a flying volkswagen? Also saw Vera Drake -- brilliant.
I watched surface. It's finally started to come together.
Eva - I love that show!!
Not flying, but he does have a mind of his own.
i dont watch it regularly, but i really liked it once i saw it! the commercials dont do it justice -- its highly underrated!
ok - so mab - oliver stone is directing this grid..is that the orginal statement????
Eva - I've watched since the premiere and you are right - very under-rated. I love it!
i do get disappointed at the amount of "boobie" jokes they make for charlie, but the kid and the mother are the best parts of the whole show! that kid is friggin hilarious!
Ok. Back to grid. Remember sitcom My Mother the Car? Dick Van Dyke's brother's mother is reincarnated as a car, talking, meddling, etc. -- now that's screenwriting.
he's a hound (in the show and in real life)- that will never change
My fav comedy at the moment is My Name Is Earl... LOL hilarious.
jen - i had wanted to get into earl, but they had put it on at the same time as Lost. now ive just got too many shows to watch to try another one...heh
Mab, I just watched the trailer for Vera Drake. It may be a little too intense for me. Was it sad?
Haven't watched it yet Jen. I hear production is halted due to Chicken Pox
mine is monk
Renfield, it's a jungle out there!
My favorite comedy is American Idol!
I catch Monk in reruns... we watch Numbers at that time.
renfield -- another one i dont watch regularly, but monk is fabulous! tony shaloub needs to win every award available! hehe hes just a great character actor in general.
Yeah, Jason Lee got 'em... I guess down for about 4 weeks.
Lupe - I was watching American Idol on Sunday - absolutely hilarious on the the bad ones!!!!!!!
evanadine - i loved tony in men in black
FM - seriously hysterical!! My son and I just lay on the couch and laugh for the entire hour (or two).
and dont forget his character on Wings!
Eva- I loved his character on Wings.
Loved Monk when I had tv. Loved it. Vera Drake is psychologically mind-bending, but riveting. Dark but not entirely so; very true to life on emotion, honest.
Tony Shaloub is gorgeous too.
oh my - i forgot wings!!!!
only have a sec but had to say - gorgeous? i don't see it. but i do love monk and i did love wings and antonio. my favorite part of the monk theme song is "i could be wrong now - but i don't think so!"
it's a jungle out there....
completely stuck at 136 !!!
Love dark middle eastern/mediterranean men, don't get me started. never saw wings.
duh duh duh
parsley sage rosemary and thyyyyymmme....
Keep going, hebbzy! I was stuck around 145, but I've managed to whittle it down a bit. LOL
mab!!! where are you taking this!!!! 8)
i'm too wound up. Will try to be quiet. Changed icon to one that's identifiable: Simon and Garfunkel - that's what that last bit was.
remember me to one who lives there....
ok - like i have 4 contracts to read,,, i need to get my tuchus in gear...later
later days, renfield
Bye Ren!
enjoy? later ren....
Any clues for du 7/28 and nu 8/45? Please
sorry neets
nu 8 is another word for vitamins and minerals.
hi all! anyone got the en7/28? I have the one that means total.
Hi Dachef, Sorry, I'm no help
hi Dachef!
there are two en7/28
Thank You Mab!
Hi everyone can anyone help please with the 1st se6/27 thanks
Switch one letter round to get the other en7/28
Hi Dachef... can't help ya, only to the le's
doh! thnx Haz! Always obvious when you know the answer....
se6/27, not 1st, but se... (but change the last vowel to a dif one)
You're welcome!
Do all the en start the same?
I mean do they build off the 5/10?
Thanks Jen.........lol
Mary - all have the same first three letters.
Thank You Dachef..
Hi Dachef - what's yr icon? can't make it out.
pink floyd
love em
I scare everyone off?
Naw, Bunny, I was off looking for that last en word.
No they are waiting to see if you are going to give any words today......lol
with that icon, bunny, what did you expect? Scary.
FMitch - the album cover from Earth Vs The Wildhearts. British Rock band, who, in the late 90's, were way ahead of their time. Amazing album!
I'm never gonna live it down....
Dachef what part of Wales are you from?
: D
caitlyn LOL bunny - nevermind, we have all done it at least once.
My ex-husband loved pink floyd, but discouraged me from viewing the wall - thought i would go permanently round the bend (as opposed to my periodic forays).
Sounds like he was just protecting himself.
Caitlyn - Blackwood originally! Anj - Dont Be Happy, Just Worry.........
I love The Wall! It makes me feel relatively sane
Dachef, I was riding the mile high tide of surprise and oblivion and heard your post : ) Didn't know you were a fan. I though MSPs would your flavour : )
hi kids
Hi boreetos
Hi boreetos...I'm hungry..brb!
Sounds like my motto dachef (but trying to change). My ex was ultimately a blockhead, Atalante. Will see Wall one day. Perhaps a cure for me (hopeless depressive); hair of the dog, or something like that...
Hi boreetos! Hi lurking Anj!
Seen them live a few times - really good. Actually met them once in the bar when they were supporting the Almighty - they were really cool and down to earth, and we ended up going to a photo shot with CJ and Ginger! Good times......
Hi Bor, Hi Deutsch, Hi All.... just popped in while my tea is cooking : )
Hello again - trying to babble in between work.....
What are we having?
dudes and dudettes, my page is acting very crazy right now, I might have to try again later..:(
AAAARGH! Why or why do the Rs torture me so?????? I am done except I missed 3 Rs!!!!
Okay, I've got to go clean up. I am going to the grocery store later. Any requests?
Meat loaf please Deutsch.
Blimey Dachef, I saw them in Plymouth on that tour... Kerbdog were the other act. Ginger is playing Highbury Garage with the Sonic Circus on Friday...sort of solo Wildhearts lol. Right, gotta go eat, BBL : )
I need some spicy sausage for my dressing
I need some cilantro Deutsch....
Deutsch - Im making a chili - could do with some nachos to go with it. Though not the flavoured ones. Oh yeah, and Im out of milk. And while you're there, some eggs and bacon'd be great. O, and some of those little fairy cakes with the pink icing. That'll probably do it.
Bread for me please
Chili sounds good, I never make, don't have a good recipie.
you should watch the Wall at some point Mab - its really quite - um - unique. And wonderful. And its even better live!
I hope your writing all this down.
What are little fairy cakes???
Ahhhhhhh, finished! Stupid Re's!!!
Great job Jen!
I bet they are like Little Debbie snacks....
WTG Jen
Yes, bunny, I have your sausage down. Lupe, I love cilantro! Caitlyn, I'm getting you whole wheat Mab, a frozen dinner meatloaf? Dachef, I'll look for the fairy cakes. whew, I'll be gone all day. Better get started! lol
Off to the quilt store. LAter guys!
Bye Jen - happy shopping to both you and Deutsch!
Yippee I have finished !!!!!!!!!
Yay Cait!
I only started thirty to forty minutes ago....
yay salad for lunch! :D
It's what I had.
heh, me too... mainly because its what i was craving, but also cause i had a rather unhealthy snack before lunch...hehe
Mine was laziness, left over from dinner last night. Salads are underrated.
cu4/6? what a nonfriendly word. why is that allowed?
I wondered that, must have another meaning...
Hi all. Nice grid today. Salad again tonight but it's so cold here I feel more like eating the Irish stew I'm constructing for tomorrow.
I agree smaller i didnt even like putting the word in... but yesterday we couldnt use a nice word like santa...
All words that are in our language should be allowed, even if they're offensive. That word has been around since Middle English days, and its roots go back even further. If we want to start censoring, we start on a slippery slope I'm sure we'll regret.
Jac, snag some of Dachef's chili or join Eva and I at the salad bar :)
picadillo and rice for lunch....
Drooling.....
Bunny - I've got home-made quiche, scotch eggs, coleslaw & potato salad here, plus some cold chicken and the usual salad vegs.
Hanging head in shame ......sorry Minbat
I'm realizing I'm not a good cook....We had chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes, baby brussels, pinto beans, salad and bread for dinner....
What are scotch eggs?
heh, i had a can of beefaroni
LOL
OOh yeah - good ol'beefaroni!
Oh no, I didn't mean to shame you! I hate it when that word (or others in that league) show up when I'm playing Boggle with my kids! I don't know whether to put it down (to score against them if they do), or pretend I didn't see it. Awkward.
isnt scotch eggs basically eggs fried up with sausage?
Bunny - Scotch eggs are hard-boiled eggs wrapped in sausagemeat & breadcrumbs then fried.
Enchilada's tonight, turkey tomorrow, leftover Thursday....
HI Jacula! Minbat- very good points! just a little surprising in the grid
That sounds different....are they good?
Yummy bunny - except for the turkey (me no like turkey).
Hi Smaller.
probably another crap-tacular meal tonight...then the BF is coming over tomorrow night, so ill hafta cook... probably make either a turkey meatloaf or hawaiian pork chops
Slimfast bar for dinner tonight - or a salad - can't decide.
Evan - Hawaiian pork chops sound nice. I'd like the recipe for those!
Never would I think to coat boiled eggs and fry them... Nah, Lupe, load up! Shrimp fajitas! Plenty of guac...yum! My husband hates mexican food, I live for it!
Salmon with a feta cheese salad for me...
i think i'll have air for supper...it's cheaper..and loaded w/ minerals - at least around here it is...8)
I've never been a big fan of feta.
My house husband is in charge of making dinner, it is always a surprise....
me no like seafood either..... love the guac though - my avocados aren't ripe yet... it'll have to wait.
mine to shro...i think it's fettucini tonight...
Love cheese - including feta. Hope to make lemon chicken with feta some this this week for dinner (if I remember to thaw chicken breasts).
OK, you don't like seafood or poultry, but you like slimfast bars?
jacula -- i just buy bonesless pork ckops + drown them in lawrys hawaiian marinade...hehe then i bake em
I don't like turkey - like chicken though.
Ahhhh, and slimfast bars, gotcha!
the only man in my home is 10 years old - if he cooks it will be both a surprise and a fire hazard.
how about some lemon tofu???
HI all
;-) bunny - gotta trip to Mexico coming up..... don't want to be mistaken for one of the whales.
My mom uses grenadine, concentrated OJ, and pineapple juice on hers and bakes them with the crushed pineapple on top. Don't know if that's the same, but they're pretty good.
LOL ren!! Have boca burgers and boca chicken patties in the freezer!!
Im off now...catch you all tomorrow..happy babbling lol x
Hey, will ya pick me up some real tequila, without the worm? Hi Yoink!
Oops, and bye again!
Bye Cait!
bye caitlyn!
Lupe, where in Mexico are you going?
really - lemon tofu is good...
Sure bunny - name the brand!
Cheap! LOL!
back again! hi all!
Schroeder - landing in Guadalajara, Jalisco - then driving to LaManzanilla, Jalisco (near Manzanillo).
Evan. Thanks. I'll try making my own marinade - INGREDIENTS: * 1/4 cup sugar * 1/4 cup soy sauce * 1/4 cup cooking oil * 1/4 cup water * 2 tablespoons molasses * 2 cloves garlic, minced * 1 teaspoon ginger * 1 teaspoon dry mustard * 1 teaspoon salt PREPARATION: Combine all ingredients in a blender and mix until smooth. Pour into a sealable glass container and store in the refrigerator. Shake before using. Suggested Reading
LOL bunny!
ooooh... i odn't have any en words.....
Forget the 'suggested reading' bit! LOL.
im a fan of prepackaged and minimal cooking...hehe...i hate cooking.
sounds like alot of work....maybe that's why I don't cook well....
I bake cakes for a living so between that and cooking for seven, it wears pretty thin after awhile.
Ooh! This one sounds nice... Ginger-rum marinade: 1/2 cup unsweetened pineapple juice 1/3 cup light rum 1/4 cup soy sauce 1 tablespoon grated gingerroot 2 cloves garlic -- minced 1 tablespoon brown sugar 1/4 teaspoon ground red pepper Combine all ingredients. Makes about 1-1/4 cups, enough for 1-2 lbs. of poultry or seafood.
Hi Folks! Evanadine, I'm with you. Last night it was grilled cheese, tonight lean cuisine for dinner! :)
That sounds more tropical islandy, the other seemed more oriental cooking.
Cool bunny!!! I love to bake, wish I had time to do it more often and experiment with recipes!
We are thinking about going somewhere in Mexico for hubby's 50th. I have only been to the Playa de Carmen side..
Bugzy - my son lives on grilled cheese sandwiches!!
Lupe, have you ever tried out those Wilton character cake pans? They are about $10 a pop and I sell them for $50. Everyone loves them and they are alot easier than they look!
My guys live on mac and cheese, and tortillas with cheese, and grilled cheese, cheese cubes,....
I'm starving after all this food talk. Time to go and eat, methinks. TTFN.
the turkey loaf is about as close sa i come to real cooking... 1-2 pounds ground turkey one small chopped sweet onion a few chopped mushrooms 1 cup bread crumbs 1 tablespoon minced garlic 1 large egg a whole lotta kechup a little bit of honey mash it all together, bake in a 350-400 degree oven for about 45 minute to an hour. i usually make 2 when i do it so i get twice the meals for the same amount of work..h.ehe
Schroeder - I'm going on the Puerto Vallarta side. La Manzanilla is a relatively "undiscovered" town. I'm renting a 2-br beach home for the week. My mom has a house there, but her home is not air conditioned (I can't take the heat). My first time there - though I've been to Puerto Vallarta and love it!
I make meat loaf, but I use ground beef, I like the grease!
Bunny - I've been wanting to buy them, but am afraid I may not decorate them well.
When they come out of the oven, the outline is baked on, it's like painting by numbers.
Bugzy - as long as he eats, I'll keep making them. His ADHD medication takes his appetite away - so I just want him to eat ANYTHING!
i love my dads meatloaf -- he used ground beef, lamb + something else... but my BF doesnt eat red meat, so i make do with turkey...play with the recipe now + then to see how i can make it taste...heh...might use a touch of BBQ sauce this time!
Bunny - hmmmmm, I may cave and buy a few....
Evandine, I dice a seeded Jalepeno in my meatloaf sometimes. Then top with salsa when the loaf is done.
Here's one I made..cute, easy!
I hear you Lupe :) YOur trip to MExico sounds wonderful...and warm!!! mmmm....
yummy deutsch -- i may hafta try that one! the BF always urges me to cook more often, but in the end, he douses EVERYTHING he eats with ketchup...kinda makes me think "why bother?"
re 6/18? Not the dairy one.....?
re + birds home
re + mailed
re + what birds sit in or re - someone who signs a lease a pays a landlord
someone who pays a monthly amount of money to reside somewhere
Bugzy - I hope so. Usually my trips are filled with sightseeing, amusement parks, kid activities, sporting events. This time, it will be limited to time on the beach, time in the house, time in the restaurant, time on the beach....
evan, bunny - thanx! Please feel free to help yourself to a coconut.
ive got a loverly bunch of coconuts (deedleedee) there they are all standing in a row (bum-bum-bum)
Dont' forget to spend some time on the beach, Lupe! :)
LOL Bugzy!
how bout that et 6?
bunny -- the ET6 lasts forever!
ahhh, sank you, thought I'd monkey typed it...
any clues for any en's? please?
the whole en group
re6? what "dairy" one?
to go in
the only ENs i have are "to go in" and the same thing in a different form
For the en's - think of a word for "come in" and play around with endings, etc... also, another word for "whole" and its plural
en - she made several en***** in her diary
smaller -- the dairy RE 6 is the stuff that turns milk to cheese RE + double consonant + famous 80s alien movie
thanks evanadine! never heard it. learn something new EVERY DAY on babble
I know I'll fell stupid in a sec, but the ne 5/10?
you wont feel stupid -- its slang take another word for dorks or geeks + change the 4th letter
ty
thanks all! : )
any hints on the 5 7's im missing? i have: ce7 32 ce7 32 cu7 36 du7 36 en7 28 qu7 40 re7 28 re7 28 st7 32 st7 32 tr7 28
evanadine there's another en7/28
en 7/28, pe 7/40, tr 7/36
ive got the one like writing in a diary... hints on the other?
evanadine, i must be ne5/10 b/c i still can't find it. got the first 3 letters. hints on the last 2. swear i've noodled every thing
also pe 7/40, tr7/36 and another tr7/28
first SE6/27 and SE 6/18 are hiding. Help, please?
smaller -- cross, then plural
the other en - She ate the en**** pie by herself, plural
the pe 7 is a weed smoked by Indians/Native Americans
eva...the first three letters of our friend r**field followed by the 'layers' of a wedding cake and the 8 is plural
eva, thanks! I SWEAR I TRIED THAT!
se6/27 sounds like 2nd, but change the last vowel. se6/18 is like the dairy re6/18, with an s instead of an r
se 6/27 is not first place but the next and spelled differently
way to not try plurals, self! hand me the fish!
ok, just missing one more 7 now. i have: ce7 32 ce7 32 cu7 36 du7 36 en7 28 en7 28 pe7 40 qu7 40 re7 28 re7 28 st7 32 st7 32 tr7 28 tr7 36 tr7 28
*Grabs EvaN for the Tuesday Tussle* : )
ri7/32
*toussles anj's hair*
ri 7/32
...oo-err : )
thanks sign!
heh, careful whatcha ask for, anj. ;)
i think the qu list should have a "third" letter...pathetic, I know
*croak*! is it still Tuesday? somebody hug me. :'(
i agree bunny!
awwww wassup ?? (((((Babbler))))) Are you still suffering dear?? : (
croak! *nods to Anj with tears in eyes* :'(
*biiiiiiig sniff just for dramatic effect*
babbler -- is there a pocupine in your fwoat??
Pooooor Babbler (((((hugs)))))
You need lemon tea with whisky & honey and a couple of ibuprofens by the sound of it. Are you taking anything like Lockets??
Babbler...gargle with warm salt water, whilst singing 'Rule Brittania'...
Hello again... been trying to figure out the sn word by doing the math, but I'm stumped... can I have a definition or other help? Will need the fish??
I've still got all my stash from last time, Anj, thanks, including Beechams you told me to get. Taking the lot!!! hehheh. And put a ton of garlic in my soup. Can't taste it anyway. : / Evanadine, *teary eyes again*... yeeeeaahh! *sob* thanks Schroeder :')
*croaky laugh at tbear* :')
doing the math wrong, think 3 & 1
...er, feed a cold?? : /
there there, babs... ((( babs)))
dunno if they have it over there, but theres a liquid medicine over here -- Tylenol Sore Throat worked wonders for mine!
thassright, Anj! I have permission to stuff my face! (but I've lost my appetite) : / thanks, T-Owl :')
BV... you mean 3 one point tile & one 3 point tile??
I like the honey flavored Tylenol Cool Burst, stuff is awesome!
Didja get it Jera?
No fun pigging out when you can't taste it... *pats Babbler's hand sorrowfully*
we don't have Tylenol in the UK (unless it arrived since I last looked), but we probably have the equivalent under a different name. : )
bunny -- cant bring myself to try the cool burst stuff -- seems like its gonna be minty + i dont like mint much, especially in my meds! the regular honey lemon is ok though
*sniiiiiiff*, thanks, Jera :')
Got it, BV... was putting 3 pointer on the end...
what's this 3 pointer y'all are talking about?
paracetamol = tylenol (according to online info)
ahaaa!! I rely on paracetamol, Une! Thanks for that. : )
tile value
yw . . . sorry you're feeling so lousy . . . bummer
lol bunny!
thanks, Une :') lots of lovely album covers!! so who's got what? what's yours Anj?
HUH?
Sergeant Pepper!!
mine is -- band: 2 Skinnee J's album: Sing, Earthboy, Sing
Uhmmm, I was showing off a panda cake I made, gonna switch back to rabbit mode I think.
Mine is Cyndi Lauper: She's so Unusual...
Wildhearts: Don't Be Happy, Just Worry...
bunny, oh sorry, i thought you were commenting on the high value of "paracetamol" in babble. cuz that'd be a lot of points!!!
*croaks* Girls just a wanna, just a wanna, Girls just wanna have fuuuuuuun!! lol :D
Ahhh, I see! Was wondering...
Hmm...I have the tr7/28 meaning most trivial. Any hints on the other?? : )
I had another idea for a theme: Sweets!! aye? Candy is dandy but liquor is quicker! LOL!!! :D
Anj, it's a compound word - to fall + cat or dog
Mine is an old esoteric musical called Numbers by Cat Stevens. Love the nebula on the cover.
tr 7 to snag foot and fall + animal kept by owner
triple-prefeix, then straight up and make it plural
...er, that's the 7/36... : /
soz, Anj :(
Anj , you want the tr7/28 thats a plural of the tr6/18 above it: prefix for three plus a chemical-sounding ending
or tr 5/10 with suffix meaning most
Gack, I gotta go with 70 words left... like slogging through mud for me today... I think I caught something from Babbler... *feels own forehead with cold hand*
BTW - Hi Anj, Babbler and anyone else who came in while I was on the phone :)
I was wondering if poorly viruses could be transmitted virtually.... sorry about that Jera *coughs in other direction* : / Hope you feel better soon! : )
Hi Bugz : )
Anj, guess what? I got to 140 words all by myself! :D Going to get the list now.
Go Babs : )
That's okay... *hugs Babbler since I'm sick anyway* Gotta go get a Girl Scout uniform spiffy & find the Sprite's cookie order form... later!
aaaw, thanks Jera. Laters! :)
Bye Jera - hope you feel better :)
whoo-hoo! Done at last! Gotta go now - off to Spain in the morning. See you all next week!!
congrats, Dachef! and have a lovely time! :D
congrats, dachef! where in spain?
une - Girona, nr Barcelona. My girlfriend lives there.
Bye Dachef, have a great time, and try to stay out of trouble
excellent! Barcelona's so cool . . .
laters Dachef : )
Yay Dachef! or should I say Muy Bueno! :)
Hate to ask....but...pe6/27...please
*sighs, having spent 5 minutes looking for a 4th O* : /
tbear - it's an hallucinogenic drug
i know a guy living over in barcelona at the moment...cant really say hes a friend since i dont really know him all that well... but man, if i were single, i wouldnt mind getting to know him a bit better!! ;D
Hi tBear : ) Sounds like your recreational cactus juice : D
tbear -- kinda sounds like a western wolf-type animal
pe 6/26 - add ending of cartoon animal 'Wily Co****'
evanadine....wanna give me his number...I could improve his Spanish!!!!
Evanadine........ no, I want his number!!! *jostles with tbear* : )
Babbler I'M SINGLE!!!
yeah and??? who isn't??? (lol!) :)
Thanks Haz,Eva,Anj and CadFan..... XxX
I speak Spanish AND CATALAN!!!!!
if either of you are into mixed-race men...hehe...hes part black, part jewish, i believe...grew up in canada and NYC...been living in spain for the last 2 years, considering making it permanent... oh, and did i mention he used to be one of the singers of my most favoritest band ever? (refer to icon, for album cover!)
b*gger :/
Catalan = el Miaow : )
(that was to tbear, btw) :)
Mine mine mine mine...I have one half spanish daughter and one half iranian.....I qualify!!!! Pushing Babbler off to one side....Firmly
*groan*, Anj...... *shakes head*.... you're sooo, ummm, special : )
*whimper* I always lose.... :'( *sob*
to5/16 anyone?
Now tBear...bring back a nice Senor for Babbler : )
Oh....Babbler,just realised I'm being mean...we'll share... :) :) :)
Sorry dsp, not at that T yet...
to5/16 - type of hat which uses the double letter
I'm too possessive to share, tbear. All or nothing! No, you speak the language, he's yours, hun :)
I'll share!
dsp, Anj, use the Q
to5/16 think what Manuel from Barcelona used to say
or how you puff on a spliff *looks around*
Well Mab we're sharing Paul and Art already....why change the habits of a.....
ho Mab! : )
ahh, thanks Babbler
My IBS tummy could use that about now LOL
I meant hi...... dyslexic fingers today : /
Wel....since you don't want to, I mean, well...
hmmm....methinks that was a freudian slip, Babs. Sorry you're unwell, poor dear.
no, Mab, I've been cack-handed all day today. got me a fabby bunch of words in the grid, I have to say! lol! : )
how many total today? (not wanting to be tempted by bj's list i have not looked...)
193 total
193 today, T-Owl. : ) meant to add thanks, Mab : )
193
Do I need to explain that? Many young people here don't know the word 'whore.' They actually think the word is 'ho.'
Don't mix coffee and jalapenos...urrp.
ty... : ) may be list time soon!
Alright, this is driving me nuts... the first qu5/16 - 6/27 combo, anyone? Pretty please?
qu + add the ending of one of your t words (bird)
bugzy, qu + homonym for acquire
Bugsy ...That one has eluded me also....
I am blocked on the DU 7; have a du 6 that won't take a squiggly.
I got all the Qs all by myself!! :D:D:D:D
TY Bunny!!! 2 to go....
qu 5,6 and 7 to qu*** from your favourite author
try suffix meaning most
I don't have DU7, unfortunately :/
ending rhymes with your qu 5/16
Its the superlative of the du6, mab
mab...end du7 with where birds keep their eggs
that is one stupid , ersatz word...
sorry, the last two hints were for your du Mab.
thanks, tbear, finally got the du7! :)
YAY ! Done! :D
res de res Babbler......Catalan for 'you're welcome' lol
congrats, bugzy! : )
WTG Bugz! Down to the Y's here...
se5/10's?
res de res...... taaaa! noted! :D
add vowels to the se 4/4 before them
babbler: still deciphering your clue... : /
*takes a bow* TY, TY all :)
still 25 words to go, but i think theyre gonna wait til after i go home + go grocery shopping...hehe
T-Owl, you go to work to acquire money, don't you?
Me too, wasn't a bad grid today if i'd just quit jabbering and get it done!
well done, bugzy!
I'm stuck on st7/32 and st6/21. I have st6 zebra st****
honey - that's the ONLY reason! LOL
see you later, Evanadine : )
bye evan!
T-Owl, I was helping you with the clue! LOL!! :D
the st 7/32, add and ending to the st 4/5 before it
Babble - the st7 is the one who puts those markings on a zebra, and the st6 is a funky past tense of taking your clothes off
I must say, I'm no prude but I am deeply offended by the use of the cu word and it's acceptability, especially since some other slang words that are used regularly were not allowed (ie, 'typo') and others I can't think of right now.
the st 6 is just like the zebra but wirh consonant on end
thanks Bunny and Bugzy : )
and "jedi" and "mosh"
Bye evanadine:) and Yay for bunny! :)
thanks babs : D - i needed to refresh!
not to mention 'spam' !
and shart and snarf
bunny, I don't have the se 4's for the SE 5/10 plurals yet...
LOL bunny!! Shart is one of my most favorite slang words!!
Guess you can't pick and choose, each dictionary is different. Technically, typo is an abbreviation and Jedi would be proper...
bunny, what do they mean?
Shart...uhmmm....messy fart Snarf = huh?
Thank you bunny, tbear for the du. And well done, bugzy!
Shart is a contraction of sh** and fart... comes from a movie but I forget which one...
LOL!!! :D
se + not the beginning but the e** She se** a letter in the post, build off this one.
(mustn't laugh really) : )
YW My daughter says SNAP all the time, some Disney show.
I use snarf to irritate my husband, comes from Pinky and the Brain cartoon.
first se6/27 pls, anyone? ty
The cu word, while vulgar, has a long and ignoble history dating back to Chaucer and before. It takes time for words to prove that they have a the staying power to warrant a place int he dictionary, and cu4 has, alas, done so.
Bugsy--Along Came Polly
Se6/27 - add the offensive cu word with a higher value consonant on the end... sounds like 2nd.
Bab - "2nd" but spell with different vowel at end
got it straight off, thanks guys : )
Thank you tutti, that was it!! Philip Seymour Hoffmans character, it was!
Uh-huh, but isn't bling-bling in the dictionary too? And is there another meaning for that word than the one it brings to mind?
Well, I've quit smoking for New Year, and vowed to curb my sailor talk due to the herd of little ears, so shart and snarf it is!
Bugzy-you're welcome. BTW, I love your pic
Bunny, do nicorette chewing thingies work?
I can't quite see it..what is it?
you're a panda today, bunny : )
Haven't tried them, I tried little nicotine tablets for two days, but I got indegestion, so, cold turkey. After three days, I was OK (meaning past the "kill you all " stage).
THanks Vicuna...I guess I won't have to boycott Babble...Shame for my boss ;)
Thanks tutti - hard to pick just one Zeppelin album, but this has the best cover art. bunny - it's Led Zeppelin, Houses of the Holy
I was showing Lupe a cake I made in the shape of a panda bear.
babbling AND lesson planning! There's multitasking for you!... *head explodes*
that's cake??? you made it??? woweee!! :D
Yup, baking is my hobby/extra income.
Of course, I'm not really defending Babble's choices of which words to include and exclude. Some of them certainly surpass my understanding!
My most popular cake is a naked lady with piercing and tattoos for bachelor parties...go figure.
Bugzy-I concur..I'm a huge Zeppelin fan
Hi guys! How's everyone doing tonight? : )
mmmmmm..... cake......... I mean, wow, Bunny! :D
*scoops up pieces of NowherePixie's head and hands them back*
hi Lola! it's still Tuesday! :D
I guess I haven't played any boards with others on them, but does the game allow sh*t or some of the others?
Absolutely tutti - wish I had been able to see them live... Hi Lola :)
Hi lola!
hehe thanks bugzy :)
You might need them, Pixie... and we don't want body parts flying in the jacuzzi, now do we? ;)
You trying to quit smoking Bab? Someone (can't remember who) recommended a self help book by Karl ?, can't remember last name either, but you could probably google it up.
Yes, it does allow the classic cuss-words, bunnyvicious.
it was probably Alan Carr, Bunny. Got it... still on the shelf... : / I will quit ..... this year..... one day..... : /
Back again...getting distracted by the footie : )
Bugzy that's my favorite Led Zeppelin album (I actually had the 8-track, now I'm showing my age)
Yep, that was him (I was close). My husband swears by Stonewall and Ariva, little minty pats you stick on your gums, cheaper than a pack of cigs. he quit too, it a wonder we all survived.
who's playing Anj? (like it's gonna mean anything to me!)
not heard of them, Bunny. maybe not available over here? I'll keep an eye out. I've got nicorette gum..... it's foul! :(
Unless anyone wants a clue or two, I'm gonna go get the twins from my brother. It's been a restful day...
I don't know if I have a favorite, tutti - I like 1, 4, and physical graffiti a lot too. I had a "Disco Duck" 8-track *shudder*
The Gooners vs Wigan. The ref hasn't given at least 4 cast iron penalties so far...both sides can feel a bit peeved...
bunny - ri7/32?
Ooops, I mean dsp :)
*stealth hug*
Gooners?
Hi everyone! I'm back from the grocery and I have goodies. First, here's some chocolate to pass around. Bunny, spicey sausage. Caitlyn? Mab? Lupe? Dachef? I have packages for you, too!
arsenal
add another suffix to the one before it
Hi babe (((xx))) : ) Babs, Arsenal...
I thought it might be arsenal. :)
ri7 - someone who makes fruit fresher
Oh, Babbler! I feel moved to confess: I smoke too and i'm going to quit as well. Must get that book and the mints. One day soonish.
Hi everyone, Have the ce6 and 7 that means to be in the middle of, need clues or defs for the other ce6/21 and ce7/32
thanks, bunny. : )
Hi babe (((xx))), how are you doing? : )
I really don't want my kids to smoke, that was my incentive (and the outrageous price increases).
thanks to you too, dsp :)
55 to go but I haven't completed my first sweep yet : )
peri, swap the last two letters of the one you've got around : )
Peri, just swith the last two letters :)
Anj, all by yourself again?
thanks, bunny will do
Go babe! : D
help with du7/36 please
most du6/24 : )
bunny, found them, thought to change the last two letter but never did :(
I don't have a favorite either...they are all great..except coda (yuck). My daughter tells me I'm not a true fan because I don't like coda.
add an ending that rhymes with cr5/12 to the du before it
thanks bunny and lola
I can't quit you baby is good - not crazy about the rest of Coda. My son (who's 6) is a major Zeppelin fan too. I'm quite proud :)
Alrighty, cakes to bake, double trouble to pickup. See ya'll tomorrow.
not sure how much longer I can play today, had knee surgery yesterday which went well. Am doing the home exercises which are causing me some pain. May have to break down and take my first percocet ever.
Babs, so far, plus the clues from all you good, good Babblers : )
bye bye bunny :) *waves*
Bye bunny :) Hugs for periwinkle ((peri))
thanks Bugzy, I feel much better now
hints for the two st7/32 words please
just found one of the st7 words :)
Evening all. The tr's are a bit of a struggle.:-(
st7/32 - one who puts marks on zebras st7/32 - one who astonishes
hi Jac! : )
lol, nice bugzy! : D Hi jacs : )
lol Bugz...I was thinking of the zebra clue : )
thanks Bugzy
Hi Babbler.
Peri, hang in there! An elderly friend of mine had knee surgery, did the exercises and surpassed all expectations. I send you happy thoughts that you will heal as well! :)
Hi Jacula :)
Hi Lola, Anj, Peri and anybody else I've missed.
Anj, thre's a Zebra clue?
Hi Jacula!
Hi there, Jacula
hi jacs....love your icon!
Deutsch, st7/32 - someone who paints zebras : )
I was also thinking of that 80s hair band of the same name, but I think they spelled it with a Y :)
Anj, have you got all your RE words? I'm on my nemesis.... :(
thanks so much Deutsch. Don't like taking pain meds but know it will make doing the exercises much easier.
refresh, I've changed icons : )
Deutsch. I've got that Beatles album. Have you pinched it off my shelf? Come to think of it, it looks like Bugzy's been helping herself to my vinyl, too. *Scuttles off to check LP shelf.*
Deutsch, by the way how old is your friend?
I know Peri. I had pain meds for my ear surgery last year. Then one day, I realized I had stopped taking them. That's when I threw them out.
ooooh! which album is that, Lola?
babs, it's Cutting Jade....one of the best bands to come out of SA : )
Peri, she was my piano teacher when I was young. I'm 45 now, so she's in her 80s. She doesn't own a car so she walks everywhere. She's a spry old dog (she's a dog lover, too)
Cutting Jade : )
think I'll get changed too, in a sec...... may as well.... it's evening now, right? ;)
*runs to Jac's house and puts the Zeppelin album back in its place*
I see you went with the wildhearts babe : )
*turns around from T's to look for st's.* Anj, you're too funny!
Thank you, Bugzy. Deutsch, you will be returning my Beatles album, I hope?
Hi, everyone!!!!! The Chilis are live and in full effect!!!!! Who's for a quick blast of "Under the Bridge"?
Hi movieman! Oh, yes please! : )
Last en7/28 anyone?
Movieman, you were sorely missed this morning. We had a discussion going over insane directors and their movies. *steadfastly tries to ignore Jacula*
"Sometimes I feel like I don't have a partner" "Sometimes I feel like my only friend"
jacs, the last two en7/28's are anagrams of each other : )
jac: It's everything + plural :)
Deutsch - you won't get away with it. It's got my name and address written on it. *Grins*
Jacula, I'll return it as soon as I finish the puzzle today! *aside* LIttle does she know I rarely finish these things! LOL
is the city I live in the city of angels : )
anyone have a clue for the first to 5/16?
Hi all, back to hunt my last 50 down. Peri what did you have done to your knee?
On a dark desert highway, cool wind in my hair....
hello back to finish the last 50 words..... even remembered to change my icon
"Lonely as I am" "Together we cry"
schroder "snap"
jj555, use the double letter ; )
thanks lola!
'I drive through her streets 'cos she's my companion, I walk through her hills 'cos she knows who I am' : )
wOOt! all the 7s and 8s are nailed : )
OK Sherb, but what's the next line? "Warm smell of ... " what???
greetings to one and all - hope everyone is ok..Not played for a while as still back and fore the hospital every night visiting mother in law
Hi sherb! : ) Woot! Go Anj! : )
Blaze, shall we race to the finish *as phone in office rings again*
warm smell of colitas, rising up through the air...
Hi Cath, how is mother in law?
cathb!!! *lola flings arms around said cathb*
Hi Cathb, how is she doing?
hi Bugzy :) hi lola :)
schroder you would likely win... I am not runner... LoL
"She sees my good deeds, and she kisses me windy" "I never worry, now that is a lie"
Hi CathB : )
gosh!! nip away for a few mins and everyone arrives! *waves to all* :D *refresh* btw :)
Yeah, but what the heck are colitas???
Hi Sherb and Babbler :)
sherb lol - gmta!
lol... I was hoping you wouldn't ask that, Bugzy...
I don't ever wanna feeeeeeeeeeeeel like i did that day
purple haaaaaaaaze...
'I don't ever want to feel like I did that day, Take me to the place I love, take me all the way' : )
hi Schro, Babs and Temple :)
Blaze I'm hunting in slow motion today.... How is you little feeling today?
"Take me to the place I love" "Take me all the wayyyyyyy"
smaller, sing in time please! : D
hey Sherb! : ) what's your album?
she is sleeping yet again still..... all seems okay
I'm losing my mind. I need help with all of the se4's and the se5/10s. I'm getting a headache staring at the grid...
Schroeder, what' syour album? :)
Lola, I can't. My real name is Tone Deaf Smaller.
Babs - Hotel California - like Babble, 'you can check out any time you like, but you can never leave...'
verrrrry good, Sherb! :)
LOL sherb !
"It's hard to believe, that there's nobody out there" "It's hard to believe, that I'm all alone"
Hey, me too smaller! Couldn't hold a tune to save my life! Let's start a band!!! : D
Hi Deutsh, schroeder, big hug too for lola.. ma in law is not too bad - but not yet well enough to go home.she is 83 and feels she cant yet cope...disaster tonight.the hearing aid has broken, made for very interesting conversation which i am sure the whole ward could hear...
I can croak!! *croaks to show everyone* : )
any clues for the first re4/5 please
'At least I have her love, the city she loves me, Lonely as I am, together we cry' : )
rosalind - r + finish
Aww, cathb, hope she is better soon : )
Babbler the band is Sublime and the album is 40oz to freedom :)
Hi all! - Cath hi again! lol, littlies bedded down & hundreds of tears mopped up so it's time for me!
Lola and babbler, we should have a great band name to compensate for our lack of talent
Does anyone have a clue for the pe7?
Angel - there's an se4/5 that you do when you mail a letter, its past tense is a se4/4, and add a vowel for the se5/10s
\thanks babbler been looking for ages got the difficult ones
whaddyamean, lack of talent??? *folds arms*
smaller, rumour has it you have a great pair of legs.... you can be up front in a mini skirt : )
Tink- isn't that the "Caress Me Down" group. cool song!
pe 7 is plural of pe6/27
Cath, my granmother lived to be 96, but her hearing didn't last as long. I used to take the phone to the farthest corner in the house, and still everyone could hear my end of the conversation. LOL
It's chorus time again!!!! "I don't ever wanna feel, like I did that day" "Take me to the place I love, take me all the way"
Oooh, can I be in the band too? I have little or no musical talent either! :)
snowy! *lola gives snowy big hug like she gave cathb so snowy doesn't get jealous* : )
Duh!!!!! Thanx, Blaze.
I have a great sense of rhythm, and sometimes, on a good day, when the wind is in the right direction and mars and jupiter are trine with saturn, I can hold a note.... : )
Finally got that en7/28 thanks to clues and to Paul69.
(((hugs)))) Lola LOL! I'm definately the jealous type!
After 12 years of piano lessons, I have improved to poorly. may I join your band? (I can't sing, either)
' Under the bridge downtown is where I drew some blood, Under the bridge downtown I could not get enough' : )
You got it Smaller same band
re4/6 pls anyone? it's doing my head in... : /
bugzy, of course! : )
I can play the tambourine (kinda) ! :)
"Under the bridge downtown" "Forgot about my love" "Under the bridge downtown" "I gave my life away"
babs, stupid word....it ends in a double consonant : )
re4/6 - short agent with a double consonant.
re 4/6 re double constantant...... (wee wee)
Thanks Lola ! I always wanted to be in a band!
Oh I'd really love to be able to play the piano - I had 10 lessons in 1962 but thats all!
deutsch, you are in girlfriend! : )
thtoooopid word!!! thanks guys :)
Hi Snowy...glad they are all ok...just thought i would try an hour of babble to unwind....the ironing can wait until tomorrow - will hopefuly have a night off from visiting if John can get the hearing aid fixed as he will take it to her in the afternoon
Lola, I'm drums! : )
the pitter patter bongo kind, not a drum kit! :D
well what kind of band will you be?
babs, that's cool. I cannot play a musical instument so I'll have to be a doo-whop girl : /
thanks, Bugzy. you saved my sanity...
Life too short not to babble Cath! I have left the washing up in the sink! My ironing pile is half way up the cupboard under the stairs. Am now totally convinced I was born for a better life than this! Ever had the feeling you kissed the wrong frog?
temple, a tarty girl rock band of course! : D
I know I'm the worse in the vocal dept. I threaten my students that I will sing the songs if they start rushing when dancing....
sorry stepped out, do we have a band?
Lola, you can have a tambourine!! All the cool girls have a tambourine! :)
lots of band members could also compensate for lack of talent
"... Then there was music and wonderful roses They tell me in sweet fragrant meadows of dawn and dew..."
YW Angel... Can I wear go-go boots and a fringed minidress while I play the tambourine?
smaller, you are already late for rehearsals!
bugzy, as long as they don't clash with mine you can! ; )
* there was love all around, but i never heard it singing, no I never heard it at all 'til there was you!
I'm looking for two re5/10s. One below the re8, and the other is the last re5 in the list. Any help pls anyone? ty
White patent leather goes with everything Lola! ;)
Snowy, we can sing duets!
yayy!! can I wear my patent white go-go boots too?
lola, is there alcohol at rehearsals? chocolate? i'll hurry next time if there are
my 70s boots are white plastic, with a plastic heel, and polyester lining! lol!! verrrrry special!! :D
babs, one is the plural of monthly payment for accomodation, for the other one add twin *** : )
I have white majorette boots I found while in college. I used to wear them and pretend to lead an invisible marching band. I'll wear them while I masacre the piano!
Well I only know the words to Beatles and Simon & Garfunkel songs - but I can try! Lol Babbler !
smaller, seems a shame not to use the babble bar while we practice...doesn't it??
Hmmm, I don't have white boots.... but I can get some! : D
are you hinting at something Lola? LOL
Babs - I had some boots like that in the 70s... I was very proud of them...
thanks, Lola! Rs are complete! yayyy! Gonna eat now. Only 20 words left to find. Back later.... : )
good enough for me, snowy!
bye babs!
I've still got mine Sherb! proper vintage early 70s! :D
sorry been off to look for a suitable icon..a blast from the past as they say....how is theband looking...room for any more
Bye Babs - I'm outta here too. Have to pick up the kids. Rock on!! :D
still looking for pe7..anyone?
later Babs and Bugzy :)

Anyone wanna help me with the last re7/28 & the re8/40? Gracias....
re 7 & 8 person who does the leasing? (french type ending)
To the first three letters of re 7/28 add ti4/4. (Think wedding cake layers) Pluralise for the 8
Movieman.....re* (field) our amerian friend plus layers of wedding cake t4 and of course plural
movieman, take the re4/4 that means money paid for accomodation, lose the last letter and add the first ti5/10. That gives you the 8. Lose the plural for the 7 : )
yay! OK, Ns : ) 3 x 4 and 1 x 8 : )
Movieman ahve you got the last re6/21....driving me nuts
Thanx all for your assistance...
ne5/10 babe. Sounds like mean word for bookish type people : )

Mab, what's your album?

Haz, there's nothing better than cranking up the title tune (Graceland) in the car, going really fast on a long, deserted stretch of highway (which we have lots of in Idaho). It's my favorite Paul Simon album.

mab's album looks like Yo Yo Ma's Silk Road Journey -- another winner and favorite of mine.

I think it has to do with the adrenal gland - not a laughing matter for the poor dog, but you have to laugh at some of the mistakes people make. One farmer declared that his ewe needed to have a 'sectarian operation'.

was just wondering if you'd done a runner, Anj! :)
is it a book? haven't heard of it. what's it about?
...nooo. Bookworming... I've been after that for years. It's probably a dog-eared copy but it was for less than 50% of the bottom market price i've seen 2nd hand
He usually centres his story on a town called Newford. It's urban fantasy. 70% real with a 30% twist. Subtle mix of Canadian and European mythology underpins it all. The majority of his books or short stories all feature or mention common characters so it's always like finding an old friend again when you read them : )
...$h!t! posted a word... sorry : (
cor!! I think I'd like this! Do you have to start at the beginning? Is there a series?
ssshhh, nobody noticed...... *looks around*

Yarrow, Greenmantle, Moonheart, Spiritwalker, Forests of the Heart, The Onion Girl, Someplace to be Flying, The Little Country... those last two are amongst the best books i've read : )
Anj -- not quite the same thing, but I'm eager to read Phillip Roth's latest; it is about what the world would be like if Charles Lindberg, nazi/hitler sympathizer, had run for pres and won over Roosevelt.
noted, Anj. I'll look out for them! :)
lol AK, technically 4 if you try alternate spellings... : )
anj i used all those spellings, i am now 4 words closer to the end thanks to you. do it again pleeeeze
Night all - sweet dreams when you get there - sorry for the no-chat but have set myself a curfew and must try to stick to it as the bags under my eyes could be used for a fortnights holiday packing! Hope to see you all tomorrow xx
night snowy
lol AK, I would be evicted from the Babbleverse... Mab - The Plot Against America? 'nite Snowy : )
nite nite Snowy :)
Sweet dreams Snowy.
Yes, I think that's it. Have you read it? I'm not a huge Roth fan, but this one intrigues me.
Anyone read Maia - Richard Adams?
Anj, any paritcular reading order to those books?
hi BJ, what's your album? :)
Beach Boys Endless Summer
brandy - i thought you were canned heat....
Mab, no I haven't. Not sure that it's my cup of tea. I haven't even read Harry Turtledove's World War and Great War books which are alternate history slants. I think it's just the premise doesn't inspire me...
what's yours, Ren? :)
Gotta get the heat from somewhere. Radiation poisoning is as good a place as any....
message for LuvMyPom
frank zappa - only in it for the money
what's your's babbler???
*refresh* again..... heh! Pentangle, Basket of Light :)
Hi Brandyjack. I started with Yarrow, Greenmantle and Moonheart, but he writes so many shorts and has fleshed out the characters/setting so well that it's hard to pinpoint a solid beginning. Try his website: http://www.sfsite.co m/charlesdelint/ That might help with an order : )
Ren, it WAS Pink Floyd - one of my favourite album cover artworks ever. Now it's Pentangle, one of my fave albums. :)
*runs into the chatlog, grabs anj in a headlock, and gives him an uber-noogie* muah-hah-hah-h ah!!!
ya gotta love evana's entrances... oops, mail.
*muffled voice* why thank you EvaNadine : )
semi-violence...its how i show my love. :)
Could someone put me out of my misery with a clue for the two Ts at the bottom left corner?
sings softly: "nobody loves me, everybody hates me, think I'll go and eat worms! Long thin skinny ones, big fat juicy ones, Juicy, juicy, juicy, juicy woooooorms!" :'(
Talking books again, it would be hard to call de Lint's work a 'series' He does move away from Newford for some stories, but the style is consistent. There's no one central character either. Each book is off at a tangent and features different residents/denizens. The Little Country is set in Cornwall : )
babbler...i have 19 words....if i catch you...you'll think worms!!!! 8)
Is that Cornwall England or Ontario?
- one who attempts - more lackluster, hackneyed
hiya, a clue for the first pe 6/21 please...
ren - gulp!! :/ refrain: 'nobody loves me, everybody hates me, think I'll go and eat wooooooooorms'.....
Brandyjack - England. It's worked around Cornish mythology.
chic - pasta + r
Thanks ev but they are coming up on my stats as from the t above that one.... driving me buggy they are! I just cant seem to find anything that the t above doesnt cover... noodling my fingies away here LOLs
one little fat one one little juicy one - one little juicy worm....
*joins babbler* down goes the first one, down goes the second one, oh how they wiggle and squirm...
One who uses an ink filled writing implement
ooh, the "one who attempts" is a plural
Granadan, the two bottom left ts are tr6/18 - those who persevere tr7/28 - most trivial ...i think : /
are we talking gummy worms here? if we are than i am on board
LOL!! Evanadine! I don't know the rest of the song!! what is it? tell me tell me!! :)
and not just more lackluster, but MOST lackluster....
Im gonna losse my tea in a minute - im not drunk enougfh to contemplate worm eating, those him upstairs used to eat daddy long legs as a chat up line.... three kids later ... *scrathches head in bewilderment*
thanx, babbler!
basically, they go down, then they come back up...
*pout* I wanna learn the song!! where can I find the rest?
LOL!! found it in google.. :D
babbler -- this site has way more even than i know! http://www.niehs.nih. gov/kids/lyrics/worms.htm
TY TY! everyone - I had all the others round those - no wood, too many trees!
that's where I'm at, evanadine!! thanks :D
*covers self in babb-o-flauge* *creeps around searching for where anj has gone off to*
Hi Everybody, Just a note to let you know that I didn't fall off the face of the earth this morning ---- my computer died just as I was about to start the puzzle. Soooooo ... I'm getting a Dell, dudes! Won't arrive for 10 days at the earliest, and hubby's ancient laptop isn't too reliable. See you when the new machine arrives. Happy Babbling --- will miss the chat! :)
see you soon cybernan!
hi cyber, good choice! I've got a Dell. See you when you're all set up! : )
smaller - are you here tonight?
*Gets EvaN with the Tuesday Tickle and scurries off* hee hee hee!
*hears emergency alarm as my secret sami service agents locate anj and take him prisoner*
ooh, gotta grab a shower before american idol comes on! back in a bit, all!
laters, Evanadine :)
lol! ON that note i'm going to give in to the lure of a good book and a warm bed. Nite All : ) Have fun...
later evanadine
nite Anj! enjoy your book :Dx
later anj...8)
Bye Anj, enjoy. Later evana.
having a problem with the EN words. Have the first two , need help with the other 3 please.
en6/18 - whole (en + exhaust) en7 - plural en6/18 - anagram of en6 above
thanks Babbler,
can't find the et word
peri - looks a bit like the word for 'forever'
think forever.......
et is busy phoning home, (i can't find it either)
anyone want a fish?
brandyjack, thanks, it has been in puzzles before, just couldn't see it today.
i'll take anything...exccept for the worms....babbler...if mama b were here i would tell her how you tricked me!!!
any one find the sn word? i think i have tried all the possibilities
uh? did I do a trick today? I'm befuddled with a cold, Ren. Whadda do? :/
Got it in 3 tries. thanks.
AK - sn + plus big letter + vowel
aknitter, think old fashioned word for you for the ending. Or Bible verse
no way babbler...just cuz you're ill...you're not getting out of this one!!! 8)
*lower lip quivers* bu' bu' bu', whadda doo, Ren? :'(
woo hoo, got it, ty all
hint for tr7/36 please
"nobody loves me, everybody hates me......." *sniffle* :'(
babbler...you said you got a 100 words in an hour....
tr7/36 - fall + animal kept at home
Ren, I said I got 103 words in 30 mins.... LOL!! *runs away again* :D
Babbler, thanks for the great clue, got it. Need help for the last Q word, any hints
peri - plural I got all the Q by myself today!! :D
Babbler, thanks so much, plurals are my downfall.
ok...i stand corrected!!!! still...ok you're not feeling well so this time i won't tell mama b.....i'll just stroll along....
Ren, my latest personal challenge is to see how many I can get in 30 mins. No stats, no chat, no nothing, just me and the grid. : )
oh, except I do use the stats panel at the top! :D
y/w Peri : )
that's a good goal babbler...i do things like that on the weekends...it's fun!!!
I played a lot of sudoku over Christmas, Ren, and it's changed the way I approach the grid, I think. I've noticed a difference, anyway. :)
i play marbles.....duh....not a real brainy game - but it sure is fun!!! and i can follow a move plot as well...
Ren - isn't that good hand/eye coordination? And concentration? :D
yes....but you don't have to think...well ok you ahve to think some..
sometimes I don't overthink the babble grid. Sometimes I just play instinctively (ie enter words that look like they might be there!). I get loads of juicy words like that!! lol! :D
me too...but they don't all work!!!! then i turn my head sideways...then the other way... like mama b taught us..
do you ever get a little voice at the back of your mind suggesting a word, but you can't see, then you enter it anyway, and it's accepted??? ! :)
not yet babbler...i don;t think i;m in that plane yet...i get a cat on my head....but i don't believe it's the same thing...my chakas aren't aligned w/ anything....8(
LOL!! aligned chakras!! :D:D
Oo, chakra disalignment and cat on head -- that can be painful.
see...if i can't spell 'em..how can they be aligned???
even mab knows....maybe i ummmed when i should have ommed...???
A few years ago I saw Dr. Wu, an acupunturist. Before he asked or did anything, he told me all my chi is in my head. Apparently it should be nicely distributed thoughout the body. I told him I only use my body to get my head from one place to another. My chi's all screwed up.
lol mab!!!! going to supper now...i'll see ya'll later enjoyed myself 8)
later ren. me too, must eat.
sorry, was on email. nite Mab and Ren :) me too, time to go. :D Tomorrow's theme: Book Covers
man, i went to shower, and anj escaped?! *DANG!* my secret service!
I'm ripping cds onto my pc, Evan, i haven't actually gone yet. not that you love me anyway..... "nobody loves me, everybody hates me......"
Hi everyone......Babbler....just got here and you are leaving!! See you later!!.........Sending a hug your way!
well, i only ever attack anj...heh...lola attacks me sometimes... ((((huggles babbler))))
hee hee hee! thanks Evanadine (((huggles))) :D hi monpazier : ) I'm still lurking..... : )
Babbler....looked at your icon with a magnifying glass and can't tell what it is!!!
monpazier, it's Pentangle, "Basket of Light". I'm about to change it (again!! lol!) :D what's yours?
Old school......Simon and Garfunkel.......parsly,sage,ro semary and thyme.......my most favorite of all time.........yes i am old .....very old.
I love Simon & Garfunkel! :D
I'm listening to Dusty right now..... :D
Dusty is good.....very good :)
*refresh* for another of my favourite albums: Joni Mitchell, 'Blue'.... : )
'I just don't know what to do with myseeeeeelf.....'
Hello all. My daughter just "allowed" me a few minutes on teh comuter so I ran into Babble-land.
hi Sushi : )
That song has never sounded the same to me since it was butchered so badly as a karioke in " My Best Friend's Wedding"......Cameron Diaz sounded like fingernails on a chalk board.
mmmmmm....sushi.... *drools* err, i mean hi sushi!
Hi Sushi !
gotta keep my average up. this puzzle looks fun today.
I know...Ihear it all the time...my name makes me hungry too.
'The look of love, is in your ey4/6, the look you heart can't disguiiiiiiiiiise' (lol) :)
did everyone fall asleep??
I've been lurking... mostly trying to finish this grid
any clues for the last en 7?
last en 7 is an anagram of the other one
ok, got it...
hello hello hello...is there anybody out there? just nod if you can hear me is there anyone home?
heh, was about to post a clue but you got it!
now I'm in a Pink mood... must go change icon
sorry, N, my message did not post. The one asked is an anagram of the other 7/28
well, i mus bid adieu to my 2 Skinnee J's album cover icon...gonna put my icon for tomorrow...
here we go. all dressed up for tomorrow. :)
here we go... I feel better now
what is the theme tomorrow?
book covers
ohhh... there are sooo many to chose from
definitely a lotta choices... i just picked this one cause i really enjoyed the book, and green is my favorite color. :D
I don't think I've read that one... I don't recognize it
children's book?
first tr 7/28 and tr 7/36?
actually no from amazon.com: Ella Minnow Pea is a girl living happily on the fictional island of Nollop off the coast of South Carolina. Nollop was named after Nevin Nollop, author of the immortal pangram,* “The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog.†Now Ella finds herself acting to save her friends, family, and fellow citizens from the encroaching totalitarianism of the island’s Council, which has banned the use of certain letters of the alphabet as they fall from a memorial statue of Nevin Nollop. As the letters progressively drop from the statue they also disappear from the novel. The result is both a hilarious and moving story of one girl’s fight for freedom of expression, as well as a linguistic tour de force sure to delight word lovers everywhere.
sounds fun!! I'll have to look out for it
first tr 7/28 is a plural the tr 7/36 sounds like a mini vacation (tr 4/4 + animal friend)
i stumbled across it and fell in *LOVE* with it!
my best friend is an avid reader... I wonder if she has it
wait, evanadine, what is the title of that book?
ella minnow pea?
just hard to make out on my computer, so wanted to make sure i get it right when i go to look for it.
you got it right hurshy
thanks niamh - it sounds cool, doesn't it? and reminds me a little of the phantom tollbooth, which i love.
just had to find that out, now will say goodnight, folks. :)
haven't read that one either... but it does sound very cool.. I have a feeling after tomorrow I'm going to have a ton of books I'll need to read on my list
night hurshy!
phantom tollbooth IS a children's book, so easy to read - so go for it, it won't take long! :)
yes, "ella minnow pea" (a play on the LMNOP part of the alphabet kids always mush together) sorry, im watching american idol, so im highly distracted...hehe
ok... I'm starting the list... phantom tollbooth (check) ella minnow pea (check)...
and I'VE just added ella to my amazon wish list. and now REALLY good night. :)
lol night hurshy!
and I'm done!! I need to start dinner but I'll be around if any of the crickets out there need clues!
hi everyone!
hi GW
hi Gw
So, I have some news to relate --- Kirsten's c-section has been moved up... Sebastian will be joining us in the outside world on THIS Friday, not next week
congrats GW.
Thanks, doxy :)
GW: Sebastian has excellent taste in birthdays. He is being born on my daughter's wedding day. (She got her dress today.)
I'm excited for you :D
WOW!!! That's amazing news, GW! How exciting!
very exciting GW!! congrats!!
I'm sorta excited as well, doxy -- Angel -- I am glad for any day that he joins us :) But, it is a bit inconvenient as well -- all the arrangements have already been made for next week! ;D
GW, you just can't trust those babies. They come when they want, or when the doc says they need to come.
Hello, everyone. GW - I'm certain your wife is happy about an earlier delivery!
hi charm
is there a clue for the nu 8/45?
I know that, doxy -- that is what happened with Kristianna, but I can still be a little annoyed about it.. . having the universe continually remind you that you have no true control over the truly important events in your life isn't all that much fun :)
you are so right, And it's ok to be annoyed at the little stinker tonight. You'll just be excited when you see him. That's all that's important.
vitamins and minerals, ak = nu8
Hi Charm! -- You are definitely right on that point! ;D She was just getting into the REALLY impatient phase, so I guess Sebastian is just doing his bit to help his mommy :)
ty mab, being a junk food junkie i never would have thought of that one
So how is the grid anyway? -- I only have the 5 words that I have just entered
I started just about 10 minutes before you did and I have 76. Not too bad.
babbler has been known to brag about the 100 + words she got in 30 min it's a nice grid
Wow!! We just had a HUGE roll of thunder just sound off!
Thanks, ladies, sounds promising then :)
second tr6/18 and second tr5/10?
sorry angelsong only up to the p's
tr5 - plural of attempting something
second tr 6/18, drop one of the e's from the 7 above it.
Hello. That's good new, I hope, GW? Will it still be Year of the Dog?
Make that good news, (typo)!
Hey everyone! Just checking in for a few in between commercials to see if anyone needed anything and to thank all for perking me up last night! :) Thanks!
hi jen
I've 4 words left: third te 6/18 and the te 5/10 immediately following the 6/18; and tr6/18 following the 7/28 and the tr5/10 preceding the tr4/5.
harp -- yes it is good news, but no it is not the year of the Dog -- the Chinese New Year is January 29th -- so he will be a Rooster instead :)
Roosters are always good!
te5: if you are short in your response, you are te... if they don't get the answer, then you are te....r
jen, if your clues are for me, I have both of those words already.
re 4/6?
re 4/6 re + double consonant
take youe te4 and add a vowel, (te5), then pl. for te6
got the te's!
re 5/14 the 2nd word on the list please
tr6:"A Roman copper coin, equal to one third of the as"
re 5/14 to chop again
ty niamh
tr5: stomach lining of a cow... Mexican cuisine uses it a lot for soup... I personally find it disgusting.
y/w
"You have 0 words left to find."
Woo hoo angelsong!!! :)
yay AngelSong!!!!!
that's like the third grid in a row I've finished.
the 2nd tr6/18 please? -- after the 1st 7
Great Job, Angelsong!!!!!
mab: how's the weather?
GW: Sebastian must be ready then. Dr.'s don't want him to start down the birth canal, then they can't do a C-Section. Yeah for Sebatian and Wolfie and Kirsten.
GW, remove the last vowel from the 7
does anyone have the first se? the 6/27
GW: think prefix for "three" plus a unit of measure for a typesetter.
Thank you, JoJo!! :) Doxy -- figures! the only variant I didn't think to try ;)
aknitter, its all in the upper left corner, se + third letter + 5th vowel + 2 consonants
ty doxy i have been hunting for that one for awhile
Right, guess if I'm not needed then I might actually get to bed at a decent hour tonight. Have a great night all, doxy, GW, angelsong, aknitter, anyone else I forgot! :)
night jen
Sleep Well, Dream Deep, Jen! (*Hug*)
night jen
Wolfie: I know it is out of even the realm of priorities right now for you, BUT, who does Kirsten think who is going to win the SuperBowl. She has always been with the Seahawks, as I have since, I am in the Seattle area, but all press is against them. She has been right all along.
Night Jen.
tu 6/21?
JoJo -- you are lucky the Eagles washed out this year, since that is who she rabidly supports ;) But she thinks that the Seahawks will win, though it will be a hard fought battle
tr 7? Either one?
tu6/21 -- trains go through these to pass through mountains
2nd tr7 -- the most tr5 (cliched)
tr7/36 - short vacation + favored animal
1st tr7 -- tr4/5 + a cat is an example of a ***
Wolfie: Thx Kirsten. We in Seattle think so too, but all the bad press really tics us all off. Thx to her for all of Seattle.
Thanks for the clues. I'm still stuck on the very first tr 7. It's in between tr 6/18's.
harp -- plural the 1st 6/18
gw, I'm busted....I don't have the 6/18 either!
tr6,7 - tr + 3rd vowel + 2nd vowel + consonant + 2n vowel. plural for 7
harp -- 1st 6/18 -- triple configuration with an extra vowel before the last consonant or -- use doxys clue ;D
Thank you.....
last se6/27?
The last st 7/32?
se6 - books or movies that are a series have se*****
last st7/32 -- one who st4s (sets phasers on st***)
st7 - take your st4/5, double the consonant and add er
st 7: builds on st4, means a very striking person or event. Missing that se 6...
Thanks. I'm very tired. Missing a lot. I was a Special Olympics coach all day. Stimulus overload!
se6 - Star Wars 2 was a se**** to Star Wars 1
harp -- good for you! (*Hug*)
ty gw
new player here....how many words total in this puzzle?
193 in today's puzzle
thanks
no problem
Welcome suhundish...be prepared to neglect at least one area of your life that you didn't before--mine is cleaning house:)
oh...fun! i'm liking it so far :)
welcome suthund!
welcome suthundish
thanks! my sis-in-law recommended i check it out...so far...am interested :)
Well met, suthundish! :) If you want to find the stats for the current puzzle, click on the BAbblers Anonymous link in the Friends of Babble box -- then the General Topic, and the Daily stats -- there you will find a breakdown of the words in the current grid in the format of: xx#/# xx are the 1st 2 letters of the word followed by the length/point score for the word
GW...I just showed up. Who/what is in your icon?
Welcome Suthundish, I will call you just dish. OK?
It's two husky pups with one holding the other's mouth shut
re 6/21?
thanks for tip...am up to 73 words so far...that will probably help a lot
JoJo....dish is fine :)
welcome suthundish! retoe should be allowed
re6 - to mail again
GW? Are they yours or did you just find them someplace? What is today's theme btw?
ty
yw
Just a random pic, kristi :) I don't have the time, space, or money to own dogs. Cats are more my speed cos I can leave them alone for a day and not have to worry about them
Thx Doxy!
JoJo...were you the Seattle fan? Can you believe it?
Could I have a teeny clue to help me get started on the en words?
Kristinc: Not only a Seattle fan, live in Renton. Yes, I can believe it. I have been a Seahawks fan for over 25 years, and this is just awesome. Are you the one on MI?
they all start with en + cross letter
ty doxy. That should help!
JoJo...MI? I'm dense today.
en5,6 - to walk in a room en6,7 - all of something en7 - en + tr5
MercerIsland, Washington. Aren't you from this area?
need clues for last 3 ce's - 6/21, 7/32, 5/12
Gotcha...no, Seattle proper...north end, just a bit north of the U District and being new to Seattle (since 2004) this is pretty fun. I'm the one with the pastor for a husband who really wishes games were on Saturday. :)
Got to click off. Hubby wants me to watch Commander and Chief with him. Nite all.
Back in a bit folks -- gotta put wifey to bed and get some food -- then I can focus on my last 39 :)
night jojo
G'Nite JoJo (*hug*)
Goodnight JoJo
Kristinc: Hey, glad to talk with a local. Well, some of the playoffs were on Saturday. The Superbowl will be at 3:30 in the afternoon on a Sunday, but he should be able to make at least most of the game before the evening service. Maybe he should have his evening service at 1 or 2:00 pm. Probably get more people *wink*.
Finished.
Hi, everyone! Just popping in (literally!) to say hello. The grid's over my limit today (to keep myself sane and with time to sleep, if it's over 150 words, I don't play that day). And to also get everyone humming - ready? "I'm being followed by a moonshadow, Moonshadow, moonshadow..." Take it, GW!
OK,OK, thx everyone, going now ~~ I think!
Night, JoJo, keep humming!
woohoo for doxy! kristin and jojo, do you remember steve sargent, i had such a crush on him
hi jb. Thanks for the melody, now it's stuck in my head. :/
JB: I'm hummin'
doxy, I'm testing text for fireworks for finishing, here you go! #*#*#*#*#*#*#*#*#*#*#*# @ @ @ @ @ @ @ #*#*#*#*#*#*#*#*#*#*#*#
cool, thanks
Hmm, more testing needed! Don't stand too close, doxy, not sure if one of those @'s might explode!
doxy, and JoJo (if she's still around) thanks for taking it. See what lobbing a song to a Woulf will get me!
Smaller: Are you kidding, do I remember Steve Largent?!?! Of course, my daughter had the biggest crush on him ever. He has been here in Seattle for the playoffs by the way. Don't really like his stance after the Seahawks, but he is still STEVE LARGENT!!
have to go for now. May check in at the switch. Have a good evening all.
Smaller...the name Sargent doesn't register but my husband just filled me in. Sounds like a decent choice for a good ol' fashioned crush!
JB: Sounds good to me.
Good night, doxy, and everybody - I'll check in tomorrow! <leaves humming>
For Sure: Nite all.
gasp! Largent not Sargent. How unforgiveable of me. I was young and impetuous. ...and really only cared about his bottom not his name apparently
Smaller...we had you anyway. He has been coming to the games and standing on the sidelines. Seems like a neat guy.
night doxy!
hey hey it's me!!!! hi all!!!
kristin, i just read Jojo's thing about his "stance" after the seahawks. ??? stance on what? b/c if it's how he stands I'm betting it's still just melt-my-legs hot. but i don't think that's what she meant. do you know? (but she still may be here despite leaving about 5 times : ))
Evenin' renny!
smaller... I don't know. sorry! We'll have to ask her when she returns.
i started to say hey hey it's the monkees.....but didn;t think frank zappa fans would approve...8)
"people say we monkey around" so it seems to fit perfectly, ren
mmmm. steve largent. dreamy
ok smaller - you are soooo ri**
Hello everyone. :) How many words in this grid anyway?
ren, for as often as i hear that, you'd think i'd ti4/4 of it. but no
193 zub
And I am back -- I see JB didn't read that I had to step away for a few before she tossed the song at me ;) Hi ren and zubie!!
i still have 96 words left and it's past my bedtime....again
smaller - you should learn to accept being ri** graciously.... and the ri** ain't the over ri** fruit ...8)
sniffle, grey woulff sniffle sniffle
hi wolfie....did i read ri** that your son is going to join us this friday???
wolfie...did you forget smaller????
sorry, smaller --- HI!!! (*HUG*)
LOL ren! How arrogant of me to assume ri4/4 and not ri4/5!
ooooooooo yay for me! thank you GW! and thanks for the help Ren!
Ren -- yes, you did read correctly -- unfortunately BP and water retention were way up at todays visit to the Dr so they have rescheduled for this Friday
well smaller...i was trying to be nice....just becasue it's late and past your bed time....
HI GW. Was buried in the grid, didn't see you get back. 193? Ok. I've got 70 since I logged in a while ago. What aare the odds of finishing this one? :s
so, for some reason, the pi's are not likeing me -- I can't see the 5/16 or the 2nd pi5
sorry bp is high....we will be praying for you all.....
ok ok. my dog is giving me that "you know you're going to be unhappy in the morning and you'll be too lazy to give me a walk and I won't allow that" look. happy babbling all! Night!
G'Nite smaller -- Sleep Well, Dream Deep! (*Hug*)
if requotes isn't allowed I'm out of here!
night smaller - see you tomorrow 8) happy trails!!!
nighty night smaller. GW...we'll be thinking of you all this Friday!
Thanks ren, it's not too much of a cause for worry, the Dr is just being safe is all -- though he did tell Kirsten to get as much rest as possible
you must do a lot of re****** lds
wolfie - do you guys have any help?
ren - Kirsten's mom is helping us as much as she can, otherwise we are on our own -- but it's not too bad -- it's only 3 days away and the c-section will be performed in the AM so all will be good :)
can't find the 8's!!! Help!!
ish nu 8 - what your body gets from foods and vitamins
got it thanks, how about the re8?
re 8 = like someone who leases from you only insert the 3rd vowel before the last two letters or google A person who lives on income from property or investments.
sorry that re 7 - make re 7 plural for re 8
These re's are killing me. Last two words: the sixth RE 6, and the third RE5 --- may I have clues please?
6th re 6 = re 5/10 plural
3rd re 5 = re 4/4 plural
3rd re start at top and move left
missing 4 ce's: 1st ce5/12 and 6/21 2nd ce6/21 and 7/32
ce5/12 'common se***' that word but with a c
1st ce 5 rhymes w/ sense - then add a consonent - like what in***** is burned in
ce6 ---- add r.
ce 6/21 = ce***** of the earth or the ce***** of gravity then plural
Quelle blockhead, I am; thanks Rennie.
thanks for the first 2 ce's, ladies ren -- it's the other ce6/21 and 7/32 that I am missing
