good job, eb!
179 words
191 words. ok, I'm in!
helen - 191...
191 words.
Sorry meant 191...still asleep...lol
Hello everyone.
my favorite word is almost here-atlatl
ugh can't get my icon to change... still presidents day for me :)
s 8/60
well kids, thanks for all the clues in yesterday's log...it helped me immensely...I shall leave this grid for 'tomorrow' (altho' technically it is, but I still have to work later!!)....so I bid you all au revoir!! Have fun with the grid...
Hi everyone!
'Bye EB. Have a good day.
hi everyone!
S 8/60
Hi CJ, Temple et al.
S8/60 - past tense of S6/27
P 7/36
p7/32
thx - just checked the chat again - i think i can handle 191, after that 400 killer, 84 & on a roll, vrooom, vrooom
o7/32
o7/32 x 2
Sorry for not clueing folks at the flip. I just prefer to be sure of my words before clue them.
s 7/40
I was in a spelling bee tonight. I made it to the 8th round. Then I misspelled aberration.
f5/20
p/6 24
Bad luck, Harp. It's really irritating when you misspell a word you know, isn't it?
is today baby shower day?
Yes, Ren., it's baby shower day. I don't have an icon ready other than a bad cartoon joke that either would not show up on here or, if it did, might be taken the wrong way! I might just put up a pic of Paul hogging the pc earlier instead....
Keep wanting to enter pestle -- still didn't work on the fourth try!
P/7 32 - plural of p/6 21
Cyber - that is most likely because your p and yor s are the wrong way around. Not yours... the grid's.
ok mistress...let's see paul hogging the pc!!!
oops...sorry!
Okay, Ren. I will go and find where he's hidden my lastest digicam photo. I was sitting on hall floor sorting laundry when I spotted pic potential and he handed me the cam., btw.
ah...paul loves being a celeb!!!!
two nice up words -- see you in the morning :)
Make that 3 nice up words (all 6's)
REFRESH REN! Paul's just an exhibitionist! LOL.
s 8/60 (i think it's already been entered but i'm proud!) ;)
121 so far, but still can't find those o7 's mentioned earlier
mistress!!!! he's almost showing his baby bottom!!!!
Indeed he is, Ren!
Why won't it take ousted?
It's not my fault if I saw a photo opportunity just after he'd given me all of his clothes for laundering!
the s and t don't touch
ousted isn't in the grid
uh, maybe cause the t isn't next to the s
However, a secret can be ou**d!
Thanks!
yeah, but that's still not a 7
Still pretty new at this.
o 7/s: consumes more than the next guy and stays longer than the next guy.
won't take outheld & outstep
that's ok, kra, this late your eyes get crossed and you don't know which letters are where!
sigh, ty cyb, i've used both words already more than once, why is it so hard to put the simple ones together, thx again
you're on the right track, helen
found them both cyb, ty
Thanks for those ou clues, Cybernan. They don't exist as word here in UK, I think, but the closest I can clue them to is the Pie Factory in the West Midlands - they offer an Cow Pie (llike Desperate Dan's). If you can eat all of that on your own, then you get another free.
In other words, you have ou***n what their chef thought you would!
Please excuse bad spelling because I am getting tired now.
There are a couple of 6's along the same line as well.
Please clue me in on those...
Almost ll:00 -- time for this grandma to hit the sack. (Truly, this time) :)
night, nan. hi, rennie!
consume more (change of tense) and opp. of stand more
mistres ou***** (all night long) or stays longer
hey t-owl!!!!
nite cyb
night all
nite nan, nit cj
night, cj
Got it - thanks
stalled at 118...night everyone ( or morning, jacs!) see you tomorrow...
later t-owl!!!!
Temple - you are doing better than me. I have only 80 words found. Sleep well!
have only 27.......need to grovel more....
*head snaps up* *notices key imprints on face* i think it's time - good luck all!
ROFLOL, Temple! I, of course, have NEVER done that!
lol owl
i better quit before that happens to me too - 140, feeling pretty good about that, makes up a little for the last grid, good nite everyone
ok helen....see you later!!
bye
Night Helen. Hi you all. Ren, taking the day off tomorrow?
mab...yes i am going to try...i have one more report to complete however, i want to play a little while before i start again....
phew! 191! I dreamt there were going to be 801. Eeep.
atalante - 801 would be a nightmare - right????
mmmm yes, that's a better description!
oooooh I *like* the 8 letter word
is it a storm or a baby crying? i guess for today it's a baby...or if could be a shower....
Morning dear gang!
Atalante... what a terrible dream! 801... I am not sure I would even start such a grid. Well... maybe start, but never finish.
It's terribly lonely here :P
I'm here, on a beautiful sunny morning.
Hi ARB! It's sunny here too, though very cold. Love to see some sun! How is the grid coming along?
Just started, and I have 60 words including the 8
Great going! Haven't found the 8 yet, but still going strong at 83.
But I may have to go outside -- it's over 25 C. blue skies and not a cloud to be seen -- though the wind is coming from the east, meaning that soon we will get sand in the air from the deserts to the east of Israel.
Sounds like you need to make use of the opportunity now then :)
The outside is calling -- shalom
Enjoy!
do you think *anyone* would finish a 801 word grid?
Well... it might be considered a challenge. If someone would do nothing else but babbling all day... it could be done. Argh! Finished yesterday's fairly quick, so if it would be a grid that flowed as well as that... NO NO NO NO NOOOOOOO! Better not think about that, LOL!
Morningeveryone Sprite please don't tempt the fates!!
maybe Dr_G would give us two days for such a thing!
Is it me or is this one hard going??
Hi FMitch! You are right... let me tell the babble gods this was NOT an order! Atalante, could you please share a clue on the 8? I keep looking for words I know you would love, LOL, and it is getting me nowhere.
Cris P: so far so good, but not as easy as yesterday.
sprite - it could get a little stormy if 8 came about
um yeah, what renfield says :)
:) So now I am hunting for a stormy something... may I beg for a first letter?
its very SSSSSSStormy :)
Sprite look for the s6/27 and then buld on that.
S
Okay... completely new word for me! Thanks a lot :) I did find the 6/27 by accident, so that clue worked for me. Stormy, hm...? Interesting word!
its a nice word, isn't it? it sounds stormy
sprite - it's also a souther usa expression for a baby having a crying fit & temper tantrum
Certainly does. "Probably of Scandinavian origine" the dictionary says. Sounds like that too.
How very fitting on the baby shower day then ;)
I also love the private eye word!
I am on a monologue here, but I need to ask: do you all have the ballet F7/44?
nope!
Wsa busy looking for the private eye word, havent found it, and don't have a single 7 yet. Can't believe it!
Starts out crazy and ends very French.
It's a French word.
fo7/44
It has the same ending as tobacco tubes
fo5 is a shortened version
Sorry - cancel that!
ah yes. nice word!
Private eye SL6/24
Exceleent, a ligh bulb moment and found both. Thanks
So6/27: can anyone tell me what that MEANS??? I mean... I know what So4/6 is, of course. But how can that become a verb?
su6/21 - Hindu widow's fate
How come Haha is a word, but Hehe isn't?
My thought exactly, Ishult.
haha was originally used to describe a low fence
Aha! :)
I wonder if its so6 as in "so6 up", but that sounds too much of a slang term for enable ..
There are references to a haha in Jane Austen
Sa5/12 - 6/21: starchy meal ground from the dried roots of various Old World orchids of the genera Orchis and Eulophia, used for food and formerly as medicine (+ plural)
a low fence, or a small rise beyond a ditch - used for boundary measures etc
Funny word, haha.
Lots of Hebrew words today! I have 2 letters and a priestly garb.
Another interesting one, and almost family of this sprite: O4/7 - 5/16 - 6/27. Fairy, goblin or changeling child.
morning all. can anyone please give me a clue for the fo 7/44
Ruthy - it's a French word, used in ballet (means little whip, I think). It has the same ending as tobacco tubes.
hi ruthy, it's a ballet movement sounds french
I am done. Any clues needed?
Congrats Sprite. I haven't got enoughwords yet to warrant clues but thaks for the offer.
Okay, I am off then. Happy hunting all.
bye sprite
ty davetins and haz1558
The silence is eery. Does this mean that everyone has found this easy and finished? Or is everyone busy trying to grind out words? Whatever the reason, I have to go. (I haven't found it easy and I haven't finished)
bye haz
I haven't found it that easy either and I also am not finished :(
me too Diane, nice to see you!
Hi FMitch - good to see you too.
oops sorry dropped an n there Dianne.
Well, I have 19 more to go but I', stopping for tonight and going out with my hubby for dinner. Happy hunting all.
You're way ahead of me, have a good evening.
morning all
Hi, it's a bit quiet today.
I'm here too. Just quiet because this is harder than it first looked.Have 110 and have slowed to a piddle.
its crazy yest 408 words but quite easy
You're right Eva, I started with great guns and found the 8 within 6 words and then it's been downhill ever since. Am on116.
I missed out on most of the puzzle yesterday. Life intervened; Missed the fun, but the living room is painted.
got all but one of the 7's right away too-they were easy-but the smaller words are a grind!
... now if there were an r or an n in there, it would be so much easier... LOL. Must admitI didn't even attempt yesterdays.
Also stayed up late to watch the figure skating.
just peeked at BJ's list, how can there ber 12 x ou's ? Oh well at least it's stopped snowing and the sun is shining. :)
I have 7 ou's so far. I think its like re's....completely random which things can be out___ and which not.
just got one more-the past tense of the base verb. tried it before with 2 t's, but it only has one.
morning
morning angel
morning angelsong
Morning Angel Eva, found the ou6 & 7 combo
you mean the one about super ingestion?
yes, thats the one
If someone wins the luge competition, don't they out___ everyone else?
hey everyone .... just finished, and this grid at least has the advantage that these stupidhead words are of monkey-typable length ;) Does anyone want a clue at this particular point in time?
well done trishtrash
congrats trish!
ty sha, eva :) I wish I felt wiser for knowing all these odd little words.
Have to go feed the cat. Back later. I know Trish - I really enoy the ones with "real" words-rather than ones where I'm monkey typing things which I don't know at all. If I remembered them after I could at least feel I'd learned something, but no such hope.
WTG Trish, there are a few babble words in here today.
bye eva : )
bye, Eva FMitch... I remembered the Rose of Sharon today, but *always* forget to put an e in front of ta4/5.
LOL me too Trish!!!!!!
Okay, looks like no one's looking for clues yet, so I'll wish you all good day :)
anyone got the 2nd ou7/32 and can offer a clue?
Isadora is helping me today. She is 5 years od.
fmitch to linger forever
or to leave, final
Thanks sandr, I made hard work of that one.
Hello Mariafey and Isadora!
I've just added a link for Babble themes to the resource page.

Hi - just dropping in for a minutes to see everyone. I'm not sure this grid is any better than yesterdays other than it's 200 words shorter. LOL
yes, sha
Hi Faerie. I'm actually having a harder time finding words today. I just ran out of time yesterday.
todays grid much harder than yest very odd words today
MM-Hi (((x))) not a very nice grid today thats for sure. I just got tired and gave up yesterday. Today will be a short day also. I'm driving up to my friends place sometime today 2hr drive. Staying the weekend. :)
Morning mom I already got 437pts n I just started but I don't know about all these hebrew words. Will drop by later to get Dylan's shoes
MM-these pain pills I'm on kicked my butt yesterday. I think they may be alittle bit too strong....I'm a lite weight...
faerie -- as my coworker would say, are you feeling "floofy" ? hehe
That sounds like fun Faerie. Thursdays are busy days for our entire family. So, I didn't get done yesterday. I had over 300 words though. Today I have to go to a meeting to find a place to hold our summer classes, go dress shopping and get my hair cut.
I missed something. Why are you on pain pills? Be careful about driving!
Evan-LOL Exactly * _ * thats the word "floofy"
How's the puzzle today? I have 20 mins to do it!!
heh, you may wanna skip out on this one if you only have 20 minutes bunny
Getting ready for rotater cuff surgery. I fell down my basement steps last Sunday night.
OUCH Faerie, time to put an escalator in!
OOH! just got the 8 all on my own! W00T!
woot! its a good word, isn't it!
Faerie that sounds terrible. Please take care of yourself.
Bunny - yeah, yeah, yeah I've heard it all. I've taken so much crap over this it's not even funny. My friend John said he would put a slide in for me.....How nice is that......I can help that my dog got between my feet and tripped me.
Rotary cuff, wrist?
heh...my daughter, Johnson is a Babbler :)
rotary cuff is shoulder, i believe
MM-I'll be much more careful now. And yes I'll be super careful driving up North to Johns.
Bunny-Left shoulder.
Sounds painful, hope your surgery goes well! Make sure to use plenty of faerie dust!
Bunny-Faerie dust - Faerie balm - Faerie pills LOL
Good morn all you happy babblers!
Good morning TSM
Yeah your daughter is a babbler and it's all your fault, I think you should take responsibility for my new problem and get me a membership so I can be like the rest of the kids with a cool picture!
She has a point....
Morning TSM
Welcome Johnson!
Thanks but its still gonna be a while b4 Iget use to the words that aren't real
Johnson - you won't believe how quickly you start seeing them and remembering them from puzzle to puzzle.
I use to do crosswords all day long, a book a day but I quit it's not my fault it's a disease, guess now i KNOW WHERE IT CAME FROM
is there a way I can give someone a Babble membership, anyone know?
talk to Dr_G, I would think
I'm sure you could if they would give you their sign on information... Get em $10 gift Visa.
I knew you'd see things my way.
I didn't hear her say it was for you!! LOL
Turn the sound on(ha)
Johnson, let me check into getting you a membership. I'll even make you a Babble resource page, if you tell me your favorite color

Good morning.
Hello all, haven't been around for awhile. Been babbling but no time to get on the board. I need a clue and then I must go. There are 4 pe6's pe6/24 used to move your bike faster pe6/24 ? pe6/21 boat pe6/24 what you do to an animal you like I even A2Z'd it and couldn't find it. Help anyone please
Hi Marc, add a vowel to pe 5/14.
Hi Marc - a kind of small pleasure boat.
hi harp, marc jacs...
Hello Temple, Harp, Marc.
thanks Harpane, I thought I did that several times, also the word is not in A2Z. Thanks again, I have got to go.
how are you, jacs?
Better now, thanks, Temple. Are you okay? Those last 2 'le' combo words are silly!
a little : ( but it'll be ok..and you ?
Yes, Temple. I'm over the 'fluey stomach bug thing now. Kids still have it though.:-(
yuk...at one high school herre nearly 500 were out with one although when there's that many it could be food borne
did you get fo7/34 yet? or see an clues in the log?
With such extensive air travel these illnesses are pretty much worldwide these days.
fo7/44 - a whipping movement in ballet. Ends like a smoking tube.
(3rd letter is a vowel that sounds like 'you'.)
Gottit, Jacula, TY Hi everyone.
yes, me too! thanks! hi deutsch!
Hi Deutsch.
Hey Jacs....you still at it....WOW did I wake up with a hangover this morning!!
Hi tbear, what did you do last night? Glad to hear Temple and jac are doing better
Hi TBear. Nearly finished. A hangover? Oh dear! Try drinking 'Resolve'. (Paracetamol & rehydrating stuff.)
hey bear! : )
i need the very first word in the grid and i have a feeling i'll need the fish, too...
1st word means A thick, colorless to pale yellow liquid, C4H8O2, obtained from acetaldehyde.
al5/12 - A thick, colorless to pale yellow liquid, C4H8O2, obtained from acetaldehyde and used in perfumery and as a solvent. Sounds like Mr. Gore + an endless child's toy.
jacs: add an h and it becomes an antipsychotic thanks for the clue! now i need a te 4 - fourth up from the bottom
te4 you want sounds like short communication instruments (phones).
it is after that one and before the scramble family animal + a
No, it's 3 above that.
scramble family animal? Not familiar with that. Thus, I'm on a quest!
It's before the one that is an anagram of fuel dug from bogs or meatpaste.
I'm all done!
Yea, for Jacula!
My last word was ve4/8. I had to a2z it. I'd never have got it! It's apparently 'slang for vice-president.
Jacula, yes, that ve is slang for the VP
OK: te 4/ 4 udder end te 5/ 10 plural te 4/ 4 sounds like beginning of phone te 4/ 4 as above te 4/ 4 te 4/ 5 backward family animal + vowel te 4/ 5 hebrew letter te 4/ 4 vietnamese new years
whoo - hoo jacula! well done!
hi temple and deutsch.....impromptu gin and tonic session at the pub.....which as always was great at the time but hell this morning
tbear, sounds like fun. We did that Wednesday night.
hydra: just saw your first word clue - thank you! : )
It really annoys me that I can drink like a trooper and not get silly and feel absolutely fine only to wake like 'living death' in the morning.......
tbear, I used to be able to do that. Close the bar, get very little sleep, then go off to work. But not anymore. But I still enjoy the occasional night out.
I need to go, folks. Happy Babbling!
tbear, that's like that Howard Jones' song. "You can take a dip by the pool but your not allowed to swim, you're the fastest runner but you're not allowed to win. Doctor says you're cured but you still feel the pain. something something and ends with a rhyme with pain."
bye jacs - have a good day now...
Bye Jacula! LOL smaller
bye Jacs......smaller I hope you don't want me to sing......still in recovery!!! Deutsch,my mother always tells me I'll reach an age when I'll just have a couple and be fine the next day.......well 45 and still waiting!!!
hey, smaller! i am DONE!!!
72TO did you find your missing te? Hi everyone
woohoo for you temple!! and thanks for your clues earlier!!!
Well done Temple.....
no fmitch - nor my missing brain cells...LOL!
Hi fmitch Bully for Temple! Tbear, we're the same age and I agree!
now to write a two page paper for labor relations class this evening - i have one hour....nothing like startng off on the right foot!
may i give any clues before i go?
Temple we have faith in you......go for it...knock 'em dead
Yes please 72TO the sa5/10 I have not been able to find it for ages now and it's my last s.
oh t bear - procrastination has my picture next to it in the dictonary...i begin with the best intentions but the result is always the same... : (
fmitch: do you have the plural of the big store event?
Hey, everybody... How goes it this fine morning?
yo smith : D
FMitch, I have a SA5/10. "All sa*** are final"
72TO - would you just believe it... someone pass me the fish and now I too am done.
Yay, TO and FMitch!
hey gramma! (just between us girls - let's give the fish the day off - after all it IS friday)
thanks gramma too, and Hi smithchick
well i must go...see everyone next grid!
Bye, Temple Owl!
Byeeee 72TO
ok I've found 8...that's pretty good for a girl whose suffering....has everyone got the sq 8/60...that's one of my 8 :) I'm off to eat myself well...ready for another 'evening' out...lol
TY for mentioning sq 8/60. I found it!
Bye, tbear... Have fun!
evening all has anyone heard from lemon
helllllllllloooooooooooooooooo people its friday yes its friday
Hey, ruthy. I haven't been on here long, but I haven't seen him. Last I heard, he was having problems posting on the chat log.
hope hes ok after yesterday
Hello, adsman! Friday would be a lot more fun if I wasn't expecting a visit from the in-laws this weekend. Short notice, too.
I take it thats a bad thing smithchic
what happened yesterday ruthy
They're nice, it's just she is a clean freak and I am a babble freak. The two (as far as my house in concerned) aren't necessarily compatible. So I broke out the list early today so I can finish in a hurry. I prefer taking my time, but there is much cleaning to do. Just shy of a white glove inspection...
lol is it that bad?
someone called no1 came on asking about lemon said that he was going to get him in school today and basically he should live where he does cause he doesnt speak proper english
what an *%$£$ theres no need for that lemons cool from the impression on the board. some kids are a waste of space not all are like that thankfully
The house or the in-laws? The house- YES. I live with lazy, messy slobs. Hubby didn't tell me until last night, late. The kids already have stuff that they have to do, so they will be no help cleaning up their messes. You have to literally shovel your way through the girls' room. Mom-in-law won't say anything mean, she'll just nonchalantly clean something and I'll feel guilty and slovenly. Then I'll have to cook something.
afternoon all!
thats allways the worst smith im sure it will be fine : )
smithchick, I feel guilty now. I also clean at my daughter-in-laws house....I don't do it to be judgemental or anything bad...I just would like to do something. You know, help in any way I can. I never thought that might irk her. Oops ;{
Afternoon everyone!!
My Mums the same Gramma, I think its just natural
my mom always cleans something whenever shes at my house, so now i just kinda "leave out" the things i need cleaning...hehe... "oh my mom, you didnt hafta do the laundry! but thank you ever so much!!"
Lol Evan, thats my policy works a dream everytime hehe
Hey, jen. Gramma, she doesn't do it to be mean in any way either. She's really a very sweet woman. It's my own guilt rearing it's ugly head. I'm just not as neat as she is and so I feel like a lazy bum around her. Your daughter-in-law probably isn't as self-conscience as I am.
evandine, we like doing it. I'm babysitting today and there's really nothing for me to do when she's napping....so, I do laundry or tidy up a bit.
Afternoon/Evening all just popping in for a few mins got to go to a 18th birthday party shortly!!!!!
My mom comes over and doesn't do a darn thing. I go helpl her at her house! LOL
smithchick, I always clean a lot better before my in-laws come too. I always feel like I want them to know I'm taking care of their baby boy! With my parents, they couldn't care less!
Lol Smith see your not lazy at all
Hi, caitlyn! I hope I haven't made you feel bad, gramma... If you went over to my sister's house and cleaned the whole thing, she'd be pleased as punch. I have a very over-active guilt thing.
My mom's mom was like that. Whenever Grandma came to visit, she cleaned while Mom was at work. It really irked my mom until she realized that was just her way of showing affection. Like how some moms cook for you. (That was my mom's thing) she doesn't clean my house, she cooks. LOL
my mom is just fidgety, cant sit still... ive watched her clean the same thing in her house 5 times in a row because she cant just sit there. so i figure ill harness her energies for my use! hehe
Mums cooking is always the best
well im off to start the weekend bye all
Adsman you havent tried mine !!!!!!!
LOL, evana! Hubby's mom cooks and cleans to show affection. Pity the poor fool who goes to her house and doesn't eat at least two helpings of everything. There must be something drastically wrong! I've gained many a pound compliments of my mom-in-law's cooking!
Bye, adsman! Have a good one!
my moms the cleaner...dads the cooker...hehe "but i made those potatoes because i knew you liked them...what do you mean you dont want them?"
My mom went on strike a few years ago and now only cooks on holidays. She is the cleaner around her house and she calls me in for reinforcement.
my mom cant cook to save her life, but she can get any stain out of any fabric! and my dad cant even put his own candy wrappers in the trash, but he can whip up a gormet meal in mere minutes!
sometimes the drive the rest of us bonkers, but they work well together. :)
LOL, evana. I call my mom-in-law the stain removal queen and since I married into the family and have learned at her feet, I'm the stain removal princess!
i cant cook or clean...mainly because i dont enjoy either and have never really learned how...hehe... i know enough of each to make do. :)
Has LEMONed been in today?
Can someone tell me what the broo-ha-ha is with LEMONed? I wasn't on yesterday and must have missed something.
caitlyn -- i havent seen him, but i havent been around much myself
I can clean with the best of them when I feel compelled. Lately I've been frustrated by the lack of help around my house, so I haven't been doing much. I don't enjoy cooking at all. Kids are picky eaters and don't like much. What I do cook is okay, but nothing fabulous.
Some punk kid got on here and was making ethnic slurs (badly spelled, no less) about LEMONed and threatened to "get him" at school today. It was made known that his presence was unwelcome and he left. We Hate Him!!!
Jen LEMONed joined a couple of days ago he is a Japanese boy who is learning English
I "met" him the other day, but did someone run him off?
Correct me if I'm wrong, but making threats, even on-line, is illegal! Poor LEMONed.
Yesterday smaller said he emailed her and was unable to chat. We don't know if he had a computer glitch or got booted off accidentally because of the whole no1 thing. (no1 is the imbecile who was making ignorant comments).
Aa, so I arrive and I am the main topic all ready ^^ Yes, I am very sorry about what happened yesterday :/
We are glad you are back! :)
Thank you Jen! ^^ I am glad to be back...my chat log box seem to go yesterday...strange!

Hi, LEMONed... Did you get your computer problem all worked out? You have nothing to apologize for!!! Not one thing. How was school today? Did you get hassled?
Are you impressed with my Japanese?
Thank you ^^ I am so grateful you are okay with that! I was a little worry at break time, but I stuck with a large group and escape with just a few bruises! The boys who did it are suspend :/
Well I am, caitlyn!
Well, sheesh... How many were there?
Caitlyn, I am very impress! You seem to pick it up and remember very quickly...lots of people find the long words too hard to remember ^^ I am very grateful...it feel much more natural to talk that way! :)
HI LEMONed! Very happy you are ok!!! And happy that you are able to chat finally!!!

thank you so much, Ruthy-san! ^^ Everyone is so welcoming here...it make up for any unwelcome at school, easily!
LEMONed why did you move to England?
ignore them at school, LEMONed - it sounds like they are the sort of idiot kids who will pick on people for anything - if not skin colour, then weight, or height, or wearing glasses, or anything stupid they feel like
Aa...I have to go for a while, already! Typical...my chat log only just return, and now I must go! *sighs* warai, now I get to try out my English on the doctor...this should be interest...

LEMONed. Missed you yesterday. Sorry to hear there was a problem. It's a shame people can be so mean. You are taking a big step in learning a new language (and doing well with it) and moving so far from home. Hang in there. You are the better than they are.
start with the num after 3 minus the r then add same as rolled tobacco
fo 7/44 ballet and the end of a cigarette was the clue and then I guessed. I must go to bed as I work nites and it is my bed time.

wow, Lemon!! you are becoming very tough! unfortunately, it is by force. hang in there.
Aa, do not worry! It give me an excuse for slow response - I can just blame it on my arm when it take me a while to think of the English! thank you :)

so what's a plectrum?
was Kyo doing his weird dancing? What tour were you at? *hyped*
warai Atalante! I think you were plan this XD
a plectrum is the plastic thingy that you play guitar with so it doesn't chop yer fingers off :)
Miya, oh! how useful!!! Congratulations on you souvenir, Lemon!
same as a pick?
I always thought they we just called a guitar pick. :)
warai, yes! Kyo was dance...most strangely o_O I was at the Code Of Vulgar[ism] tour...true amaze! how long have you been a DeG fan for?
I need a P

Yup, it's the same as a pick...but, no matter what you call it, Die touched it! He caught it! *squeals* oooh, the sacred plastic...I've not been a fan for that long...but long enough to blow $90 on buying a tie worn by Kyo :D

NO! so it was YOU! I saw that bid! I was on that bid! Were you the one who constantly bid whenever someone threatened you, lol?! My username was Shinya382...?
oops, sorry--wrong pe6
thank you, Tigereye-sama! ^^;
2nd Pe6/24 Theres the boat that starts the same way as bike parts. And one that sounds like a part of a flower
That was you?! You worried me in that bid, warai! I cannot belief this! warai...I am sorry for snatch it! :D
jen: I have that one....the one I am missing is the two pe6/24 together....the bike one and ???
Lemoned, what does "warai" mean? Sorry if you've been asked that already, I hadn't seen you mention what it was.
Pe6/24 Starts the same as bike parts, ends in a vowel. Type of boat
found it by monkey typing strange word
I do not mind, Boreetos-san :) Warai, I think, is like...you say lol, it is slang for smile or laugh ^^ Web talk :)
lol I forgive you! I can't believe this, that's just such a coincidence :) Argh...I have to go already, but can I get your email address? I need every single detail of what that live was like!
awesome, thanks!
warai...of course! I am LEMONed_Takumi@hotmail.co.uk :) (no prize for guess my name ^^) I will speak to you again, Miya-chan :)

hi evan!! Just listened to all those OAR songs again this morning! Was hoping I'd get to thank you again today. :) so...thanks. LEMONed, I think you probably want something along the lines of "Your welcome"in English.
hello everyone....I seem to have missed a chapter somewhere... (lemon and Miya ?)... :)
Aa...thank you, Boreetos-san! ^^ I always forget that one :/
hehe, glad youre enjoying them boreetos! i had to cut myself off of them for a while because i was listening to the ALL THE TIME! hehe
(that's "you're welcome," contraction of "you are welcome")
*refresh* Yahoo!! *~~!*!~~!*!~~!*!~~!*!! Canada won Curling GOLD!! Took a 6 ender in the 6th for a 10-4 lead -- Finn's conceded after 8 ends. Whoopee!!!
"you're welcome" is the proper spelling lemon :) beware of letting boreetos be your sensei... :)
karys -- lemoned is new to babble. he is basically the male miyavi...hehe
do itashima$hite LEMONed!
LOL evan! Hi Hurshey, Bye Miy! and Hi everyone
arigato nasai, Vicuna-san! ...you are all so helpful!
warai, Hurshy-sensei!!!
LOL evanadine!! Woohoo for Canada, Cybernan!!
Hurshy, my sincerest appologies, that's one of my pet peeves too, the misuse of Your and You're
cybernan, yahoo canada! I'm glad they got the gold. They're amazing 8)
aaah...ty evan....didn't know there could be another Miya... is lemon male or female ?
warai boreetos
hes male. japanese, living in england. loves the j-rock, just like our miyavi!
can you ever forgive for quite possibly unintentionally misleading our new friend?!
ok scrap that ...just read the log properly...HE is male !!
of course, karys, lemon is actually japanese, not just into j-rock randomly like miya
Aa, well done, Boreetos-san! Nihongo ga ojozu desu ne ^^
Ah, another stickler for the English language. Glad to know I'm not alone Boreetos. Don't get us started on there, their and they're.
this seems too good to be true for miya !!
everyone is officially forgiven for everything as of... NOW.
what?
hello Lemon....nice to meet you :)
:) thanks Hurshy!! Including the little mishap with the pronouns?
komban wa, Karys-san! HajimemaShite...it is good to meet you :)
boreetos, what part of everything don't you understand?
Right !!....ok...!!....thank you Lemon (I think ! )
LOL hurshy !!
not everything, just the last thing that LEMONed said to me.
oh wait, nevermind, um yeah. wow, its been a weird day.
if the chat is going to be so interesting how am I ever going to get all my words ?
gomen, sorry, Karys-san...my English, it is not good yet :3
i think the expression on my fish icon's face should really say it all. "glub?"
greetings mello fellows
Lemon.....it way, way , way better then my Japanese !!
LEMONed you are doing well with the english i have seen you write
hola renfield. hey I've been meaning to ask where you got your name, is it from Dracula?
warai Boreetos-san! :D Aa, this chat is getting confuse! Worse, my arm is in sling now...luckily my right arm, and I am left handed, but it takes me even longer to type!
hi Ren....love your icon....saw it earlier !! :)
(confusing)
hey kary! it was late (or early) when i found it. kind of silly...8)
warai Karys-san! ^^ I am grateful there is one alphabet in English...in Japanese there are three! thank you, Ruthy-sama! :) I am trying to brush up on my English by try some western music...Bohemian Rhapsody has me confuse!
Aa, arigato again Tigereye-sama...only I just made the same mistake, again!
If "Bohemian Rhapsody" fails to confuse you, then you need to worry!
crapola, (that's the lesser Crayon brand) I'm way overdue to get back to work, I'll see you kids later, Ren, remind me later about the question just asked!
ok..i need help here....a few days ago did anyone see a 4 letter word without vowels ,,,a kinda,,'sound word meaning nonsense...?
cos the grid wont accept it today..*grump*
bo - yes......and part of my name
Would that have been "pfft", Rolin?
Its not in todays grid... Pfft
aaaah...ok,,thx tige..
Along that same line, wondering why the grid will accept "haha", but not "hehe".
pfft is a word in your language? what do it meant?
isn't it heehee?
Haha is a word used for a low fence.
it means...that ...its nothing
warai...now I am confused!
Pfft is really just a spelling of a sound. But it's the sound you make when dismissing something.
Ha ha, hee hee, ho ho! They're coming to take me away. PFFT! There I go.
Aa, I recognized that now, I think...it is the sound my English teacher continal makes! warai, she is get exasperated with my bad accent :)
Judi-san...?! warai!
where abouts are we all (as in how many words we need, have we just started, are we finished, are we crying, are we doing great, etc...etc..)
Sorry, LemonEd. I am just talking nonsense.
Karys, 77 left, but I am still sick and fading fast! :)
Judi...I think I am with you there somewhere !!
Hi Karys, I'm all done at 191 glad to say, it was a bit of a battle today.
i made iy halfway (still 90 words to go) and then lost my momentum... i got a case of the fridays...and im going a little crazy!! hehe
66 left here....but gone to 'morewords' now
I have 107 words, been at it for a while. I have the olympics on in the background to distract me though
warai Judi-san! No more nonsense than I talk sometime! ^^
i have 60 to go
lemon - i use to say the following...to bad....so sad...so what...who cares i have about 130 something words to go
oohhh Well Done Fmitch !!!.....;D
help please it took a word that's not valid and put it in my list and won't remove it what do i do?
I had to resort to a2z in the end
I have all the rest of the night here now....all alone...without distractions !!!!
Good afternoon. Had a busy morning with meetings, lunch at an Indian restaurant and dress shopping. back for more babbling. How are you all? Jac - still haven't finished my song. Need to work on that too.
Afternoon MM! :)
If it's in your list it probably is valid...
thats a new one to me Cinda
hey mm
I was really hoping "squittle" would be a word. I'm thinking we're all squittling away our lives here on Babble!
warai, I am guess I am, I think you say "bringing up the rear", here!
cindasu try F5 refresh, that usually cures most hic ups here
Cinda, when in doubt, try refreshhing.
that doesn't sound too bad Musicm
Cinda - hit refresh. That should clean it up.
Vicuna - I love that word. Squittle ---excellent. Hi Jen.
I like that Vicuna....its a good word !!
kind of sounds like a gummy candy
Nope it wasn't too bad Karys. A good reason to go dress shopping I've lost so much weight I didn't have anything to wear to Greg's gig next weekend.
we should all get together and demand certain words should be acceptable !!!
Squittle?! Back in Kyoto, there was a candy call 'squittle'!
thank you that did it ..it's gone
Well, if we're demanding words, we could start with "fest"!
Wow, was it gummy?
lemon - what kind of candy is it?
ooooh...musicm...thats great for you....very sad here...I would love to lose some weight...(willpower is not my strong suit !)
mmm Japanese candy
I couldn't believe 'fest' wasn't a word....I'm sure it has benn accepted before !!
It was kind of sour...the lady who own the shop made it herself :) Vicuna-san, if I am knowing what you mean by 'gummy' then yes, it was! warai...you have, I think you say a sixth sense!
Nope, Karys, it's never accepted, (although fete is, which often appears in the same grid.)
Karys- I gave up on dieting. Approached it from the exercise standpoint instead. I started with mall walking, but switched to yoga about 4 -5 years ago. Recently added belly dancing. Surprisingly the more I excercised the less I wanted junk food and even chocolate. I am now satisfied with one or two pieces of chocolate instead of the whole box. One slice instead of a whole cake.
Hey, how about and April Fool's Grid where nothing is allowed except words like "fest", "oreo", pfft, etc.
Then again, there is also a brand of drink call 'kikpoo'. Now that I learn what the word 'kick' and 'poo' mean...I could never take it serious again!
It was renfield with the sixth sense! (After all, I thought squittle should be a verb, not a noun.)
judi, great idea! LOL!
That sounds good Judi - we could monkey type our day away.
calpis is just as bad in English!
Wait, you mean that's not what the grid is every day?
musicm....would like to try more exercise....have a game plan for the better weather here
Anyone have a clue for the fo 7
warai Atalante-san! ^^
Go for it Karys. Especially if you can find a friend to join you once or twice a week. Makes a big difference for me.
fit1...french ballet term....ends in cigar****
it's a french ballet term but also means to beat as in "to beat" eggs
Oh, God have mercy on my soul. I just started working on the ou's.
LEMONed - in Japan, do they still have calpis balls - little round bits of candy with a calpis thing inside and chocolate on the outside? They had them when I was in Tokyo and I *love* them - but I've never seen them in any Japanese shop in the UK
I am carer to someone with a wheel chair....the plan is to walk her to my friends, have a coffee and walk back again
That's a great idea Karys.
will keep you informed musicm !!!
Do that! Let me know if you need some cheering on!!!
Aa, Atalante-san, I miss them warai! They still had those...in the same shop as the Squittle, actual :) They are...scary addict. Like this game!
ty....and will do !!!
I never thought I'd say this, but I preferred yesterday's 400-word monster to this beast!! Hi all :)
going for the 's's now !!!
that is very admire, Karys-san! My little sister was in a wheelchair for a while last summer, and I have a friend in a wheelchair. All summer, I was borrow her wheelchair for race!

Hello everyone - two hours to go here at work. I need a break, I need a nap!!
Aa...that was strange!
lemon...hope you sister doesn't need the chair now !!....and I don't think I'll be racing anything or anyone !!!
Hi ren, Hi Lupe !

Kids just got home brb.
warai Karys...if my mom could do it (embarrass!) then there is no reason why you cannot! :D Suan le, let it be!
warai lemon....bet I a lot older than your Mum !!
yada, that is the second time I have done that tonite!
Thanks for the fo 7 clue. I finally got it
fo 7/44?
there are some japanese shops in london where you can buy some candies - and calpis water (but only the water) - but they are much more expensive than in Japan!
warai, Karys-san, I find that difficul to imagined! Though, I have no idea of the age of my real mom, so I can refuse to belief it if I wish! :D
Can anyone help with my last four letter T please. I have ------- te 4 4 te 4 4 te 4 4 te 4 4 te 4 4 tu 4 6 thanks
Atalante-san, I will have to look! There is a Japanese shop fair near me...I rake it desperately for calpis...but, mou, nassingu :/

They have even been in pizza competitions in Italy and won awards. The kids will get cheese. Greg and I will get something a little more interesting. One of my student's parents own it.

The best thing is they have a basil/pesto dipping sauce for the crust. Debbie makes it ----- DELICIOUS!

bugsy...smaller's smiling behind your back!!!
Evanout - HI!
Hi Tink! Hi Evanonut!!
Hi evanonut :)
Hi evanonut!

Down to 3 words but they are all o words.... taking dogs out refresh my mind (if that is possible) bbl

komban wa, Evanonut-san...is your name like the author? :)
nutty buddy - i like that
nut.....exciting???? what are you doing?
It means that they see everything, even what goes on behind their backs. LOL as soon as I posted it I thought, that's probably an expression that doesn't translate right!!
OOO Lemon, you just scored BIG points with Evanonut!! Good job!!
bye speed!
warai, Smaller-san...what did I do?!
lemon - as in evanovich - yes indeed - and i'm thing i've missed some the these japanese grammar lessons.
Lemon, that means Moms can see everything and kids can't get away with anything...
warai Bugzy! It was fair confuse XD
As in, because I have eyes in the back of my head, I know that Smaller was smiling at me :)
rennie - my baby bro is popping "the question" tomorrow night.

Warai Renfield, been working to much...
renfield, I have missed out on everything too! :)
(quite confused) (exactly)
jen - we workd to much!!!!!
eep ^^; arigato gozaimas, Hurshy-sensei!
mary, fou****
Mary, 3rd letter sounds like "you"
I'm a stay-at-home mom right now, so I chalk it mine up to being out in la-la land. ;)
so gozaimas must be like "very much"?
LOL LEMONed! You are VERY perceptive!
hey just so you all know...i'm not at work today!!!! i have a vacation day.....ahhhhhhhhhhhhh
Lemon, what is the difference between Bugzy-sama and Bugzy-sempaii?
nice, ren
What a day off from work!! *faints from Renfields news*

jen....your job is more demanding than mine!!!!! you are on 24/7
second su5? clue anyone?

yes off from work!!!!!...someone pick shro up.... thanks hurshy!!!
Su + crosses + vowel
*preens* Smaller-san, it is...how you say, part of my charm...warai :) Hai, Hurshy-sensei...it is a more polite way of saying thank you, like your English 'thank you very much' :) Bugzy-sempaii, there is not really much difference...sempaii sounds fancy, that is all. Both -sempaii and -sama are the most respectful terms you can use :)
I know! I can't wait to go back to the work force... and get a break! LOL
Anyone want a very tired andcranky 5 yo?
sherb!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thanks shro
50 s's, and i just finished 'em! good thing i didn't know how many there were when i started

hey nut!! :D ...I'm on book six of the Stephanie Plum series... and still enjoying them :D
musicmom I have a sign hanging in my studio that says Thou Shalt Not Whine!!!
I'm going to blame my lack of words on the whining in my ear<g>
either way - i pride myself in making my brother despise that movie when i was 7 or so.
warai...it is strange, every time some one says 'haha', I think they are saying the Japanese word for 'mother' :)
I love that movie!! One of my all-time favs!
I love the Princess Bride!
nut - i once sat in front of the tv for two days so i could type up the script myself while watching.

I need to start reading the Steph. Plum books again. I read up through 5 because they were given to me. Need to get the rest of them from the library.
nut, although i don't think they are anything alike (and haven't seen first wives' club), i always get that one confused with dead husbands (which is very funny).
oh wow I love all you guys!! this place is soooo fun
there's something so perfect about the word plum. it looks pretty, it's full and rich and round to say... you can tell that it's something juicy just from the word.

The radio is talking about the production of Porgy and Bess that Une is going to see. It is the version that Gershwin devised - the original staging.

I love Gershwin too. I've never seen Porgy and Bess, but I love all the songs. This is the first time in 70 years that the Gershwin original has been staged. He only saw it once, as he died less than a year later.

If you have the hindu widow at su6 - change the double vowel at the end for first vowel
bet its not coming to the UK !!!
that would be wonderful!!!
saw '42nd Street'....when we went to New York....now wouldn't it have been wonderful had it been 'Porgy and Bess' !!
kary have you seen the movie 42nd street w/ ruby keeler adn dick powell?
many moons ago .....yes
Ok. I have to go to the corner convenience store to buy kitty litter. I have been putting it off all day. I don't want to go out, but my cats are going to go on strike if I don't. It takes maybe five minutes. Got to go.

help with al5/14 and al6/21
hi peri - al 5/14 - three letters meaning beer and the first two letters of a medical license
LeslieAnne, got the first part of the al5, not sure of the end
those two letters also mean the acidity or baseness (is that a word?) or something
Hi all!!!! Got a very late start today. Any help with pa 6/21?
thanks LeslieAnn I was thinking that DO was at the end, finally got it
help with da6/21 and da6/24?
oh i didn't notice that was there too. the al 6 is al + common article + vowel
hi nonny, sorry i only have a pa 6/24
LeslieAnn, thanks
da6/24 - letter of the Hebrew alphabet da6/21 - city in Texas with different second vowel
Thanks, Vicuna, found them both
I'm glad someone is finding words! I'm really struggling today. :<
he5/12 everybody.
Vicuna, I am getting lots of help from clues
he 5/12 torgone
Okay, I usually don't ask for clues, but how about fe5/20, please?
Why, Torgone! You old sun of a gun! Howdy! Looooong time no see.
vicuna -- think hatfields and mc coys (fiddle with the spelling)
mab! How the he4/5 are ya?
fe 20 is French for fire plus past tense suffix.
Really struggling with this puzzle, help with fu5/18 (have the plural of gas) and fu6/30
Well....Comparatively speaking, I'm fine. And you?
Thanks. Now how about ou6/27?
Vicuna, don't have that one yet
that fu5 and 6 add a consonant to the end of the previous fu4. Apparently it's an undesirable element in alcohol, but since I think alcohol is the undesirable element in alcohol, don't ask me!
I've just begun to attack the ou's...
(I mean add the consonant for the fu5. For the fu6, its plural.)
I'm a little out of practice, Babble-wise ..
vicuna, do you have the ou 4/7? add a vowel
Oh no, Torgone, have we lost you again? We worry when someone disappears. You still there? Tor?....
10 to go, i'm going to count down now for the sake of my morale
whoops, add the vowel and then plural for the 6, vicuna
ou 6/27 -- don't know what it means (i monkey typed it) ou + opp of buy (-L) +s
we'll cheer you on, helen!
Have you just taken a break from the thrills here, or did you embark on reality?
lol leslie, thanks!
Thanks, LeslieAnn - I'd be willing to sign in blood that I already tried that... It's that kind of grid today.
Just really busy, and then rreally tired and lazy at the end of the day ..
2nd al 5/21 anybody?
vicuna, i don't think that will be necessary.
9
wooooooooooo 9!
Well you look just the same. You've not changed one iota. Lovely to see you.
LOL
Thanks mab. You're a do4/5!
al5/12 (if that's what you meant, aknitter) is opp of nothing+strange (as in duckling)-final d
is6/18 anyone
ty vicuna that was driving me crazy
8
is6/18 - pl of 5/10 that's a prickly flower minus initial th
peri that beautiful scottish flower minus the th
wooooo 8!
go Helen, go Helen, go Helen.....
7 AND 6!!!!!! on a roll now , nooo, knocking on wood now!
thanks, found the is6
5
look at her go!
is5/12 please
4, hey, this is working nicely, lol
is5/12 - having lots of is5/10 (in other words, add a consonant to is4)
too many OU words
WAY too many ou's...
Vicuna, I have 6 of the OU words, Trying to watch the Olympics while playing Babble :)
pe7/32 anyone?
Okay, Periwinkle, I am missing the second 6/21, 5/14, one of the 7/32's, and the last 6/21. I'll trade you anything for any of those!
peri, like a flower pe, but spelled differently.
pe7/32 - pl of 6/21
Vicuna, 2nd ou6/21 - to consume more than anyone else
Peri, it sounds like flower pe**** (he loves me; he loves me not) diff spelling
the flower pe, mispelled, can be made plural and past tense.
Vicuna and gramma, thanks, had the singular form already
Thanks. I would never have thought that was a word. (It gave me the 7, too.) Name your payment!
Vicuna, ou6/27?
oops, distracted by olympics, back to the last 4 now
ou6/27 - pl of the 5/16, if you have it (if not, add vowel to the 4/7 first if you have that)
Vicuna, don't have any of those :(. Am getting tired. Will not be playing much more.
3 to go - i must be really getting tired, just had a ton of trouble with the last pe6/24, sheeesh
okay, so this will give you a bunch all at once: for the ou 4/7 it sounds like the sound you make when someone hits you in the stomach, but spelled with the first two letters of opp of in, plus odd way of spelling f
you can do it helen!
ohh, i'm really excited now, down to 2
going for the gold, helen!
(i'm down to 7 you can't let me beat you!)
les, clicked on your pink girl - i live on the northwest side - harlem & irving, do you know where that is?
Vicuna, thanks so much, got three from your clues, never heard of any of them
i have the 2 ts's left
yeah, helen, my sister used to live in boys town (no hidden meaning just a well-priced apt.!)
up6/24 anyone?
dare i say, 1
plural of the the 6, peri.
I mean the 5.
come on helen!
drumrolllllllllll -DONE
i want to thank you all for your support
anyone need a clue before i go?
The crowd goes wild!!!!! HURRAH HELEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Not bad for a blind girl!
congrats helen!!

lol
quitting at 126, too tired to play any longer
And deaf as well.
what?
Kind of a joke . . .on your handle . . . Never mind.
up+what you do with a baby
I think she was actually deaf so the joke kind of falls flat on its face as usual . . . *sigh*
gee tor, of course i get it, you think you're the first one to make fun of poor lil ol me?
That's why she said 'huh?' Get it Torgone?
haha the blind and deaf girl is WAY ahead of you, torgone ;)
Blind and deaf, Torgone. Remember The Miracle Worker, in which Patty Duke played Helen?
Gawd, I'm thick. I'll just go back to finding words ..
evening all was wondering if i could bug you for some clues need the da 6/21 pls
sher, city in texas, alt spelling
Everyone's ahead of me, including most mollusks ..

The da is a hebrew letter. Usually not spelled with an h on the end.

how about a clue for the se 5/14 pls
sheryl, a compound word - se* + opposite of down
yvo, i was there yesterday, lol
nice village love living here
leslie ty should have got that one
yvo, this is really random but there was a sun-times article maybe 6 months ago about how if you got pulled over in niles you were like 99 percent likely to get a ticket, they had the highest rate of giving tickets in the area
it was a twisty one, sheryl - those are hard!
5 more words to go, seem to lose steam near the end
ou 5/14 and the 6 right after it? I'm bewitched bothered and bewildered ---- may I have a clue please?
this is absolutly true evry day on dempster and milwaukee if you dont watch it you will have a ticket
lol leslie, unlike chicago, where there are no cops to give out tickets, or seems like it any, so many lunatics out there - my car mantra is 'follow the rules of the road' ala follow the yellow brick road with munchin accent, cuts down on the cussing
mab, opposite of in + hair**
chicago cops are crazy, if you do something illegal on the road they'll just laugh at you
Wow, I wasn't expecting it to be a sensible word. Thank you very much.
you got that right
mab, the 6 is sensible too, same beginning + what you do with a meal
i very rarly go into the city visit grandaughter on higgins wich isnt to far in
leslie, yvo, nice meeting you, have a great evening, i'll be back at the flip
good nite all im off to bed
Sweet dreams, Yvo ..

you're welcome sher, going to play tangleword now, bye all
So how tricky is the grid today -- I still have 156 to go and am fighting the sleep deprivation battle :)
Sher - The bit just before the punchline.
sure thing! *whispers to mab: they said the reason was a firewall but i heard a rumor he was running with a fast crowd of literati players*
the gird is not that hard, lol, especially with alittle help from our babbler friends
It's sticky, GW. lots of obscure words.
So what have you been up to, tor?
oh no, thats not the word I am missing, hate that now i ahve to search for the missing one, lol, be right back
If I told you, I'd have to kill you .. Not really - You'd just die of boredom.
(((((((((((((TORGONE)))))))))) ))))))))))))) How the heck are ya??????
If you want, you can have some of my excitement, Tor :) It's been a very eventful month and not all in a good sense
GW and his partner just had a little baby, torgone. Sebastian.
I just fell off the Babblewagon for a while, but I'm back now.
How's the grid???? I see I only need 191 more!!!! LOL
You can all blame Mamabear for hauling me back ..
that is good to hear, tor -- now all we need is for Smeltz to make an appearance...
*tee hee, tee hee*
fell off the wagon... I've never heard of that happening. Do you enter rehab, or just cold turkey on your own?
LOL, mab!
I pulled him back up on the wagon, mab!!!!!!! And put a seat belt on him so he can't get away again!!!!!
Cold turkey has always worked best for me; tobacco, smoking, crime, etc.
works good after Thanksgiving, too!
Thank you Mama!
Turkey, mmmmmm.
It's very quiet........ everyone must be frantically hunting words........ except ME!
join me in a sandwich, mab????? I'll get a big bun so we both fit!!!! LOL
thats it found it 191 words, all done, first time in a couple of nights with those killer girds, night all happy hunting does anyone need or want a clue before i turn in? must return the favours
A friend of mine has to go to Turkey soon. Not sure I'm happy about it ..
i'm actually done, mama...just popped in while diong research for class that began this evening...do you need any clues before i go?
Good Evening all!
Thank you, I'd be delighted. The grid is quite difficult today. One must use the imagination.
Tor -- as mab noted -- on Jan 27th, my son, Sebastian was born --- then on the 13th I started a new job via a temp agency which I am hoping will turn into a permanant gig -- and then last sunday, Seb ended up in the hospital due to his contracting RSV -- he only got home again Wed night
congrats to you sheryl!
Nope, thanks anyway Temple... not playing tonite!!! Hi Sanky! good job Sheryl!!!
omg, I really must change my pic! I do beleive it must be outdated!!
Him Mama- how is everything? Grid looks tough!
At this hour, Sanky, it's definitely come as you are.
Why Sanky -- I like your icon just the way it is :)
Not if you don't look at it, Sanky.... which I am not!!!!
hi sanky woulfie i had no idea - poor little guy...
Well - thats good, since jammies have been on since earlier today!!!
Well done, Sheryl!!!!!
temple -- he is home now and doing great -- they just altered his nebuliser schedule from every 4 hours to every 8 so he is recovering very quickly :)
Mama - I completely agree...1st time back in a spell & not doing so well. Too many white russians!
GW - I think I was around for the birth - Congrats!!! Congrats on the new gig!! Best wishes to the little one!!
sanky: we'll be happy to take some off your hands
Tor - I bet ya'll would! everyone does!
gotta go..... promised my daughter (in ND) I would play Literati on line with her..... mbbl!!! have fun all (good to see you Torg!!!)
Take some jammies off her hands???? I'm in!
Have fun Mama! Glad you popped in!
tor -- have you seen the pics? swmbo from the BabAnon ezboard posted a Birth Announcement which is in the 'Thanks for all your love and support' thread I created in the Meet & Greet area
Tor - lol!!
Toodles, Mama!
have fun, mama (( )) little cub hug i tried literati still getting the hang of the process
Have fun, Mama!!
GW - Sebastian has a highly intelligent look about him. Nice pics!
Thanks tor --- if he is anything like his sister, I am doomed ;D
That intelligent look is sometimes attributed to gas (especially in my case) so we'll keep looking for new pics ..
brb -- I am being yelled at by my cat -- the one that never says anything so it must be important ;)
When dealing with cats, remember one thing -- cats LOVE to fly ..
The scary thing is that mine do! Many is the time I have tossed one across the room only to have it come back asking for more :)
Woulfie: So glad to hear that Sebe is doing well. Been wondering what has happened.
Alright, you two -- tossing the cat? I rarely even raise my voice to any of the cats I've had. Of course, I do ocassionally sedate one of them... The really neurotic one..... takes after her mum....
Now playing: Girl U Want -- Devo.
Hey, JoJo -- thanks -- you have not been around when I have the past few days when I was updating everyone else :)
Thelonius Monk, here. 'Mysterioso'
Hi JoJo! How are you?
mab -- we all have our own special ways of bonding with our pets :D
No, Woulfie wasn't around last nite, but asked about Sebe on Wednesday, but guess you weren't on-line, understandably so, since he just came home from the hospital. No one responded. So glad your Sebe is in good shape.
Yes, I expect being tossed about is critical during the attachment phase. I'll remember that if I ever should meet you.
Mab: Doing OK. Had a trip to the tax guy on Tuesday, have to get more info for him regarding investments. Still waiting to hear back from our financial advisor. Putting my husband's 1975 Corvette on sale on Craigslist.com. Hope we can sell it. Need a new car, but hate car payments, and won't take out of our savings for a stupid thing like a car. At our age, once savings are gone, there is no way to recoup.
mab -- actually the tossing came later -- when we first got Twitch (my black and white) from the shelter, she was a kitten and I don't think her feet touched the ground for longer than five minutes at a time due to me carrying her around -- She is the first cat I ever had who would come when I called her (before she got pat and lazy)
That sounds sensible JoJo, but isn't your husband going to miss his classic car? I would be nicer to have a safe, comfortable new one, though.
Hey all... down to my final dirty dozen... need help with second pe6/24... the one after plural of bike mover... help, please?
Hi Jera!!! (*hug*)
Now playing: Five O'Clock Whistle -- Ella Fitzgerald. I've had many dogs and cats and not one of the dogs tried to claw my face off ..
Jera, exchange the s for a vowel on your bike mover.
{{GreyWoulf}} Now I remember the up side to working late on this puzzle!
Thank you, my Queen!
Mab: My husband restores classic vehicles as a hobby, and he is very good at it. He has already bought a 1979 VW pop up van, so that will keep him busy. He rarely drives the Corvette. I told him though that he has to get rid of the 1970 Jeep CJ5, which our son bought from us, and the Corvette, before he brings the VW Bus home. Our daughter says she will buy it after dad restores it, but we have to paint it PINK!!! Don't think my husband will do that.
*props eyes up with toothpicks*
Jera -- I am in a similar state myself -- I may not finish due to falling asleep --- I have had about 3 hrs sleep each night since Seb got home :)
....And I ran ...
Oh, I see, JoJo. That's a great thing that he is able to do that - he probably enjoys it, and it's profitable. I think your daughter wants a Barbie-mobile.
9 more to go... such a shame not to finish... I never got back to that huge honkin' one yesterday... left over 100 & it really shot my ranking...
Mab: Our daughter just likes pink!! No Barbie. But pink was really Cwazy back in the sixties, and so were VW buses. I know.
the second ou 7/32? anyone?
mab -- on Long Island there is a house a few blocks from where I used to live that was remodeled to look exactly like the Barbie dream home..... It was creepy :)
Sheesh... this fo7 has me beat as well... help?
I'm sure you did something to provoke the cat, torgone. Mine are practically perfect in every way and would never scratch without a good reason. I think you just don't like cats. That's what I think. And cats can tell, you know. Robert Cray coming up here - Sweet Potato Pie
It's part of the Survivor motto, jeffers (if that helps)
Got to sign off. My hubby wants me to join him watching TV. Tomorrow.
Jera, start with French for crazy (three letters) and add that frenchy cigar**** ending.
Enjoy JoJo.
G'nite JoJo!
jera - thank you oops.
jeffer - second ou 7 starts with the same 3 letters as the first then add the opposite of the word first.
That does sound interesting and very creepy, GW.
Dianne got it, thanks
Sorry, that's not getting it for me, mab!
jera - start with the first 3 letters of the number between 3 and 5. Then add the ending of the baton twirler.
Oh, ok. Fo plus a vowel plus the suffix: cigar****.

Aha! I was trying the wrong frenchy ending... -ella simply wasn't working, warai! Thanks!
(2 words left)
(both fu- words, warai!)
jeffer - think of the word for yell - drop the r on the end and change the last vowel.
Thanks Diane. I was missing those too.
ty Dianne having got the similar O's threw me off ...
You are most welcome mab.
It's All Too Much -- The Beatles.
I've had that crazy song in my head ever since I found that word... ho5/12 back girl...
Hey Torgone - haven't seen you here for ages. All o.k?
Does anyone know if Lemoned made it in today?
Hi Dianne! Wots up in HK today??
He was here a good part of the afternoon, I think, and he met Miyavi! He loves J rock too and has one of the bandmembers' drumstick. Like Miya, he got it through ebay. Instant rapport.
jera - lemon was here today hi ya'll - i'm back!!!
Oh yay, that's great! He's a real sweetie-pie! Miya, too, of course!
Tor - not a blessed thing is going on here - got the day off and intend to just enjoy hanging around doing nothing. Hows by you?

Oh, brother. I saw the word, but thought it wasn't really there, if you know what I mean. Thank you!!!!
Is Shorty your baby?
not me....shorty's a person who plays babble
I gave the babies John Coltrane albums.
good choice mab
Torgone, where are you? Come back and tell us about Montana.
and the pony!!!
Oh I see - Shorty and Missyme are Babble players who are grandparents.
Ren, do you see how Coltrane is reaching his arm back and doing whatever, scratching his back? I think he is extremely attractive.
i see him....is there a bigger picture?
This is as tight a shot as I found. In real life he tended toward being slightly overweight, but at his prime he was something.
I changed to his A Love Supreme Album. He's tiny, but he's not blue.
Speaking of Porgy and Bess, I'm listening to Sinatra sing Old Man River. It's a little odd, but he puts a lot of emotion into it.
it takes a strong voice to do old man river - it's very emotional!!
