The insurance thing is worked out - just for way less money than needed, which is why they call it 'insurance' and not something like, say, 'fair.' Went to court on 3/1 and prevailed there. Tonight a massage therapist spent an hour inventorying damage in places that I didn't even know I had places. I'm sure she helped me ultimately but a couple times I thought I would faint from the pain. She said "not again for two weeks" and I said NO ARGUMENT FROM ME! How's by you? I got here and found your Y word off the bat...

A gal ran a stop sign about five weeks ago and I plowed into her. Totaled her car, and semi-totaled my back. Sprains in neck and low back, surely could have been worse. But since I have no health insurance and have been preoccupied with things like financial survival and court battles (though Sprite - it WAS fun listening to the judge dispense reality to this little gal - also found out she's gotten 14 pts on her license in 8 months, bye-bye license) that I haven't done much to take care of me. Muscles compensating in the wrong ways, lots of tension and strain. Now I'm working on getting myself better.

I'm soooo sorry Grif. Do you have something for pain -- it's pretty important in the beginning, so your body can heal. Later you can taper off. You probably know that, I just hate for people to resist pain meds. No insurance is terrible. You poor thing... I hope you are finding ways to get the kind of rehab you need.
I didn't want to take something heavy for pain relief - I'm here by myself with Hunter depending on me, needing to continue to work (no leave benefits either) or lose pay, etc. - so just took Celebrex which the initial doc (worthless) gave me as samples (so he wasn't completely worthless). I don't have the wherewithal to pursue healing in quite the way I would have in better life circumstances, but I'll get there.
Ma7/36 plural - brittle, flat piece of unleavened bread, eaten especially during Passover. Very alt. spelling.
The Em8/55 cannot be stressed enough.

Yes. That sucks. (((((((Griffums))))))))) Yo u know what is best for you, but meds are often not problematic when you have a considerable amount of pain -- you just feel a bit more normal... I'm just a little worried about you I guess. I've sort of been there. It's great that court is over and you don't have that stressor. Of course you will figure it out and I know you will get better bit by bit. I don't know what I blathering about. Just take care, Griff.

I know that I have chatted with Miyavi at various times, sometimes on Saturday mornings. She would also have to have invented rolin, gem-gem, multimple pupils of Marlborough etc. Is it not more likely that she's for real?

Miyavi-fan is a 14 year old schoolgirl from England. Her teacher is also on babble as are some of her friends. She is extremely bright and very interested in all things Japanese. She is, by her own admission, self-absorbed, as are a lot of girls her age. Recently another person, LEMONed, a 15 year old Japanese boy, over in England with his family has started on babble. He and Miyavi got on well etc. He has had various trials and tribulations, but yesterday someone accused Miyavi of being LEMONed and of trying to play a joke on all of us. She protests her innocence, others aren't so sure.
I think its entirely possible she could have invented lemoned - but I also think its entirely possible he's just as real as any of us. It just comes down to if you choose to trust or not - though I can see why some people do find the situation all a bit too coincidental for comfort. But hey, coincidences do happen ...
I agree, Atalante. Unless Miyavi is a multiple personality, I choose to believe her. I think rolin would have sounded alarm bells before now if there was a problem.

Internet is a bit like the telephone where you build up a picture of someone by the sound of their voice. It can be a shock when you meet!
Because I answer the emergency phone line when my husband is on duty, over the years I have spoken to all the local farmers - in fact they don't have to give their names as I recognise their voices. But my mental pictures are often totally wrong when I finally get to meet some of them!

The other thing I remembered was that a nasty kid from Lemon's school came on babble the day before the attack, threatening all sorts of things in foul language. Are we to believe that Miyavi did that as well?
Spellit - That is exactly what I was going to say re the account swapping. If I could give Miyavi and advice it would be to change the password on her Babble account to prevent any further misunderstands, and not to share her password with anyone ever again. I have no doubt Rolin will have something to say at some point.

Good morning everyone. I've been thinking since last night about the situation with Miyavi. I find what happened disturbing. What began the whole upset was one person, just one, who suddenly popped up and accused Miyavi of being a fake. I can't remember the name of the accuser, but it was someone I had never seen before. That started the ball rolling. That's giving a lot of power to one accusation. In addition, I really don't care whether what everyone says here is true or not. There was no attempt to get money, etc. It seems to me that the accuser should have been asked immediately what her or his motivation was and where they got their information from. I'm sorry that MIyavi was hurt in all of this.

I love going to the gym! I try to go 5x a week, but I am fighting a 5 week sinus/bronchitis thing, so it's not happenin' right now. I follow the Body For Life workout, so my workouts are done in 45 minutes, tops.

Hey, I thought I'd pop back on while waiting for my sister and I was reading the log. I lost 35 pounds on Body for LIfe and went from a size 16 to an 8. I lose 75 inches!!! But then I stopped doing it and all of them plus some of their good buddies found me again! Alas!!! Anyway, Body for LIfe does work!!!! Yay for Jen! And shorty... Smith-trust me - my family eats like pigs. Really good food - fried chicken-fried pork chops-fried potatoes-fried fish-fried ham-if can't fry it it can't be good. lol And my Mom still uses lard.
Body For Life is an exercise regimen... You alternate weightlifting days (45 minutes) with cardio days (20 minutes)... combined with healthy eating, etc. and you feel like a million bucks.
It's a fitness program by Bill Phillips. The book is called Body for Life and there is like a contest if you want to enter it. My Mom, sister and I all did it and it was really good. You do 20 minutes of cardio three times a week. Alternating upper and lower body weights three times a week and you eat 6 times a day... Protein-carb combo... Drink tons of water. One day a week is a free day where you don't exercise and eat whatever you want...

I carry a lot of muscle. When I was a size 8, I was over 150 pounds and I'm only 5'1".
If you can do those programs without the supplements you will be better off. It's always better to learn to eat right than eat bars...

I worked with rocks for yearrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrs and I've made flower planters buy drilling large holes in them. I've made birdhouses with them and PICTURE FRAMES and kleenex boxes and all kinds of stuff. Even a lamp. I polish all the rocks and use a wet look sealer on them.

Hi All - Smithchick -how about dries pasta/ Lots of shapes and they can be painted. There is a way of dyeingthe pasta that involves food colouring and gin but I don't know the quantities. If it needs to be quick drying how about spray paints? Old necklaces can provie 'jewels' as can sequins. There are loads of silk or dried flowers about too.

You could spray paint vast amounts of pasta quite cheaply. Gold & silver work well and they do stick easily with a glue gun. Old greetings cards would make nice collage frames that you could varnish over
