12:22 am

Thanks

12:23 am

All the 7s I got so far are ending in -s

12:23 am

It was a perfectly clear readme file, even for a webpage-making-noob like me. Great work, Angel, in every way. I have the backups and all, and I will try to follow the instructions if there is an update of the page. Looks like a breeze :)

As good as your word, Angel! Work to be proud of, the page looks so professional :)

hello fellow babblers. how is everyone this fine evening? it's a cold night here...ready for spring. looks like a puzzle i won't be finishing tonight for sure. but still a fun one.

I love this grid -- no ae's!

12:54 am

I can't find the er 9, if it's any consolation, Hurshy.

12:54 am

i have no 8's or 9's and missing 10 of the 7's :(

12:55 am

I forsee many em, en, re, and co words = too many prefixes.

12:55 am

I only have 13 7's as well.

It says there's 13 4-letter words, but I've found 22... Hmmm...

12:59 am

68 4 letter words

12:59 am

no, there are 68

1:00 am

68 4-ltr words, Kevin

the ce words are killing me... I can not for life of me find all the 4 letter ones.

1:00 am

Then you should have the 8 as well, Hurshy

1:00 am

all the c's are killing me, i need 17 more!

1:02 am

i'm new to this. not sure i'm ever sleeping again...

1:02 am

68 4-letter words. 57 5's 46 6s 23 7s 3 8s 2 9s

1:03 am

Smogqueen, that's a distinct possibility! This game is way too addictive :)

do you have the mor.. words?

1:13 am

jabberwocky?

1:13 am

yep, my5

1:13 am

Hurshy -- do you have ma 4/7?

1:15 am

cybernan - food ingredient - ketchup, mustard and ??

1:15 am

andy, she knows, she was trying to help me :)

jabberwocky uses mo4 ;)

1:17 am

golly, there aren't that many my combinations but i cannot find it!!!

1:18 am

the my word is a medical term

1:19 am

i'm not so up on medical terms... except if they use them on ER...

1:19 am

ooh, got it

1:19 am

hello pretty grey box

1:19 am

thanks, 13

1:20 am

still don't understand the jaberwocky bit!

1:20 am

lots of med terms use greek or latin endings, so if you know the medical term for a couple diseases, you should knw the ending of this word

its a poem by lewis carrol

1:21 am

theres a word from "jabberwocky" in this puzzle?

1:21 am

twas brillig and the slithey toves did gyre and gimbol in the wabe all mimsey were the borogroves and the mo4 raths outgrabe

lots of made up words from that poem have seemingly made their way into the english language :)

1:22 am

i know the rest but i don't want to be a nuisance...

1:22 am

sounds and looks like greek to me!! -- monkey typed the words at any rate.

i had to memorize that poem for school!

1:22 am

hmph, the y is not placed conveniently

1:23 am

it looks *nothing* like greek :)

1:23 am

have 9 black boxes now -- everyone keeps saying grey, but they are black on my screen.

1:23 am

counting the 0's, cnan?

1:23 am

theyre purpley grey

1:24 am

get a better monitor :o

1:24 am

Not one word in the entire verse you just quoted has any meaning for me!

1:24 am

"and" "the" - don't exaggerate, dear :)

1:24 am

I'm insulted -- no 0's included!

1:25 am

"and the" has no meaning?

1:25 am

and i was only saying that the form of the words is very unlike the forms of greek words - i took greek in college

1:25 am

then i have the same number of grey boxes as you!

1:26 am

well, if we're going to get picky, other than prepositions and conjunctions.

1:26 am

ok, clue on er9, maybe?

1:27 am

yes, I could use one too!

1:29 am

ooo -- just found the j

1:30 am

i'm really curious bout this am7, too

1:30 am

er9 has to do with my penis when i play this game...

1:33 am

i don't see how that can be true. and, we do not talk that way here.

1:33 am

am7 is what you all may do to me for that comment hehe

1:35 am

am7 - fines/penalties.

1:36 am

i know amortise, is it related to that?

1:38 am

10 black squares, 140 words, and time for bed -- good night all --- I'm sure I'll see some of you in the morning :)

1:39 am

i have 10 also!!

1:39 am

I don't think so. Every city/town has a Chamber of Co******. This is am + the last part of that word plural. If that makes any sense.

1:39 am

dianne, where did you go?

1:40 am

oh, thanks :) cross posted there :)

1:40 am

11!

1:40 am

Thanks!

1:41 am

these dratted c's! how can there be so many?

1:41 am

I am doing so badly with this one. What's wrong with me today?

1:42 am

i have 160 words but the last 39 seem very hard

1:43 am

only 4 more 4's

1:44 am

Is there a way to see the current scores of other players? Preferably compared to mine?

1:45 am

no, but you can ask :)

1:47 am

does anyone have the en8? could use a clue...

1:47 am

Sudoku done for today :) I love that new site, it is so much fun! Now for some more word hunting.

1:49 am

1:50 am

This is a sneaky puzzle.

1:51 am

hurshy es7/32 the very fiber of something

1:51 am

es/7 is the plural of es/6

1:51 am

thankee. now i just need that en8 to finish off the e's.

1:53 am

en8 = to enchant; bewitch

1:53 am

I've not done a sudoku. Is the basis math, or is it more logic? Can one learn to do them, or is it something you need the knack for?

1:54 am

logic. can learn.

1:55 am

Thanks. May read a bit about it.

1:55 am

ty gloop, how did you get all these?

1:56 am

wikipedia has a good explanation of suduko - just google wikipedia suduko

You can have two or more windows open at the same time on the net..... just open seperately...make page narrow and you can get three or four on your screen...

2:04 am

found that word finally, ty

Ugh, I'm stuck at 199, too. This is so much harder than it looks.

2:04 am

alrighty, just 27 c's, r's, and s's to go

2:05 am

stuck at 199? that's all there are!

2:05 am

there are only 199 words to find

2:05 am

sorry. Won't happen again--newbie here.

2:06 am

2:06 am

2:09 am

2:09 am

EBTG: Cr6/21 means: there is a word starting with Cr, 6 letters long, worth 21 points.

2:10 am

And welcome to the newcomers!

2:10 am

Kevin and other new-co 6: if you click on Angelsong's Babble page listed at the right on the screen you'll find lots of useful info. Clicking on Links and then mrpresident's stats will give you a list of the first two letters of each word in the grid, etc.

2:10 am

hmm.. hard, very hard

2:10 am

Hello Sprite

2:11 am

i feel dumb coming here so late ... everything i ever learned about the internet i got from reading boingboing :P

2:11 am

my5 anyone? I want to get the whole bottom row grayed out :)

2:11 am

Hi Blaze :)

2:11 am

Thanks, Sprite :)

2:12 am

balker, just got it - ends like the spray cans that are bad for the ozone layer

2:12 am

My5: tumor composed of muscle tissue. Or my grandmother...but I don't think that grandmother word is the same in english, only dutch ;)

2:13 am

Sc9/60 been mentioned already?

2:13 am

got it! thanks.

2:14 am

yes indeedy sprite think everything long has

Hello =]

2:15 am

WHAT on earth is this other cr 7/32???

2:15 am

Okay, then I won't irritate anyone with 'new' ones anymore :)

2:15 am

sprite just mentioning it made it pop :)

2:15 am

Lol!

2:15 am

i mean i have the first FIVE letters, how hard can it be??

2:16 am

cr7/32 - they are the same except for the last letter.

2:16 am

i know but!!! ok i got it. i really thought i had tried them all

2:17 am

hurshy, crc? I don't know any other term :)

2:17 am

Occasional blind spots are perfectly normal for us babblers. I hope.

2:17 am

btw, it's not my fault I don't have a flag ;)

2:17 am

balker, was referring to an ae word...

2:18 am

gah, I wanted to use both o's in that one... thanks

2:20 am

test

2:21 am

I wonder why it won't show the danish flag, even if the gif is there: http://www.playbabble.com/flag s/denmark.gif

how much words do you have to get

?

2:22 am

199

2:22 am

Try refreshing balker, and when that doesn't work, send a message to Dr. G-d. He will fix.

2:23 am

do you see the flag? I tried switching to usa, and s+s showed up instantly.

2:24 am

79 words 1121 points first night, 2nd game. I think I'm retiring for the night.

2:25 am

found Sc9/60, wheee!!!

2:25 am

down to the wire, folks... 8 little s's

2:25 am

any clue for sc9/60?

2:27 am

it's a plural...

2:28 am

it sounded so simple when i said it...

2:28 am

roytang: A thickening or hardening of a body part, as of an artery, especially from excessive formation of fibrous interstitial tissue. google if this doesn't ring any bells.

2:28 am

lol ... roy it's a medical badness. has to do with hardening of like, for instance, arteries

2:29 am

83 words/ 1244---found sc9/60, as well!!!!!

2:29 am

oh mab you're so right by the book you could get a little creative

2:29 am

ah got it...I knew what the singular of that was...the plural form never popped into mind

thanks balker

2:30 am

sc9/60 IS medical, but has more to do with the neuromuscular systems, I believe.

2:30 am

Sorry djget, thought I would make it easy for new people? Something like that; but point well taken.

2:31 am

no mab, i get you totally...i was just ribbin you a little because we were both looking at the dictionary.com entry

2:33 am

DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!

2:34 am

wow, everything *i* know about the internet is from boingboing too. i am really bad at this game.

2:35 am

Brava hurshy!!!!!!! This must be a new record for you! Amazing!

2:36 am

congrats hursh

2:37 am

only 66 words, at 951 points! aghhh....

2:38 am

Not to worry new people, we all were new at some point. Just enjoy. Do scan Angelsong's Babble page - link at right on screen - where you'll find lots of useful infomation.

just found le7/28 and ma6/36

2:40 am

Also, understand that hurshy and sprite are exceptional players of this game. Try not to compare yourself to anyone.

2:40 am

thanks, makes me feel better :) this is a great time waster at work btw

2:58 am

whee, 71 words, 1065 points! long way to go but: progress! thanks for the encouragement mab :)

3:04 am

Morning, or evening all, Is it a good grid today?

3:07 am

Morning FMitch ... enjoyable & swift so far (79 down... can't speak for the re4/4 of it, of course)

3:08 am

LOL thanks trish! *dives into grid head first*

3:19 am

Are there plans to add more features for Babble Pro users? It doesn't seem that much worth paying for to me just yet.

3:21 am

I don't think so Elf, the biggest bonus of being pro is the stats panel that shows how many words come from each tile and the overall breakdown. That is very useful when hunting for the last few elusive words.

3:32 am

anyone get the or5/12 & 6/21? I can't find/see it.

3:33 am

Wo6/33 +7/48 minus W

3:34 am

Evening Dianne, not yet I'm afraid. Still on the 1st run through.

3:34 am

((Sprite)) good to see you!

3:35 am

Of course - the fish ! Thanks sprite :)

3:36 am

Hi Fmitch. How are things? Hi sprite (belatedly) :)

3:37 am

Fine thanks Dianne, allowing myself an hour or so babble and then work :) (famous last words) LOL

3:38 am

Good morning all. At least it's the sort of grid where you could find lots of words in your allotted hour, FMitch1

3:39 am

that's what I said at 3pm (it's now 5:30). benn doing alittle of this, then a little work, then a little of this soon and so on.

3:39 am

LOL Haz, oh and ha ha re yr icon, very funny.

3:40 am

Howdy, Haz, Sprite & Dianne

3:41 am

Hi trish :)

3:43 am

Sorry guys, was on the phone, and typing the clue with one finger, lol. Hi to all, great to see you too! Done with the grid for today. It is fun, beautiful biggies that have actual meaning. And to the newcomers: never, ever feel intimidated or inferior compared to any of us. We all started out new here. We made more incredibly stupid mistakes and have had more blind spots than you can ever imagine. Will make and have more too. But with perseverance (kind word for stubbornness) I managed to become somehow experienced in this. ;) All those stupidhead little words that keep coming back will look familiar at some point. Some even come up in conversation. Ywis!

3:47 am

FMItch - sorry, I was distracted by the phone there. So glad you like the icon!

3:52 am

Well 139 words for 2163pts. I can't 'see' the last 60. I still have none of the 9s and just one of the 8s. Do you get penalized for blindly guessing?

3:52 am

this is my first game. looks like this will be very addictive. i have no idea how i'm going to find another 150 words...

3:53 am

No, no penalties. It sounds like it's time for you to use some help. Second letter lists are invaluable!

3:53 am

LOL Haz, I'm not that into rugby but other half is and was not a happy bunny, at least Arsenal won otherwise there would have been a full strop on at the w/e! El Payo - blindly guessing is what we call monkey typing and it is most definately allowed!

3:54 am

fortunately you do not get any penalty for guessing - most of us guess (monkey type) lots of words.

3:54 am

To access them, look under Friends of Babble on the right hand side of the page. Either click on Babbler's Anonymous, general, stats, for Brandyjack's list OR, Angelsong's Resource Page, Links, MrP's stats list.

3:54 am

Monkey Typing - that's great.

3:57 am

evilolive, it is a very addictive game and the more you play the more words you will find!

3:57 am

Have to pop out, but will be back later.

3:57 am

TTFN Haz

3:58 am

toodles, Haz.

4:01 am

anyone have the first mo 4/6?... i don't want to give it away but is this not an acronym? i thought those weren't allowed? does someone know the definition?

4:02 am

soft shoe.

4:03 am

hehe wth... is that some abbreviation?... thanks i guess

4:06 am

Good morning, everyone

4:06 am

oh it's on merriam-webster... i c... k thanks... never heard that before

4:09 am

Right that's my hour up, BBL

4:09 am

See you, FMitch

4:10 am

has anyone gooten any of the es words? I'm not having any luck with these.

4:12 am

Morning all. Thank goodness we have our s's back

4:13 am

es 7/32 .. the basic properties of something es 5/10 ... sounds like how the 'es' words start Hi ExWren :)

4:13 am

Hi wren - yes, just add an S to every word - it just might be a word :)

4:14 am

es 6/33 (+ plural) money or property held by a third person.

4:14 am

is everyone else seeing triple posts?

4:15 am

Not at the moment, El Payo, but it does occur sometimes.

4:15 am

trish - got the 1st two - so easy with your great clues. looking for the 3rd - thanks for the help.

4:16 am

my bad - refreshed the page and it went away

4:17 am

trish - I was thinking that word/s but kept looking down not over and down. Thanks again.

4:18 am

one es7 is the plural of es6 and the other es7 meanthe crucial elements

4:18 am

yw, Dianne... yes, we seem to have gone from having no S's at all, to having too many ways to use them, lol.

4:25 am

43 words left to find, time for a break... see you later, folkses :)

4:54 am

Hellow everyone =]

5:00 am

good morning

5:10 am

Hi, everyone!!!!!! I have returned.....

5:13 am

Good morning, Movieman.

5:19 am

Morning all! Well, after the S went on vacation for a few days, he's back with a vengeance now!

5:20 am

This grid is like a nudist camp...... There's a lot of r's in it.........

5:21 am

Groan.....

5:23 am

I have just found that there is something worse that re's.....it is sc's...I have taken half hour to find the sc4/7, but the rest are mysteries

5:24 am

Ex-wren - sc9/60 - think of MS and pluralise the S bit of it.

5:24 am

hi there- Im new and not sure if i understand how this works- am i making words like in scrabble- or is the letters supposed to be next to each other...

5:25 am

sc 5/12 - expression of derision

5:26 am

Jaen - the letters have to be next to each other as in boggle. If you need further info, look at Babble rules link at the top of the page.

hey wobbie

5:26 am

Jaen, they have to be next to each other. Top right you see Babble Rules, they should help.

5:27 am

hi guys! I'm exhausted and its only 11:27 - just had to drag dog down to the vets and back for the annual fight over injections!

5:27 am

Tell me you didn't fight the vet...

5:28 am

nope. just stood back adn watched vet and dog slug it out!

5:29 am

Well, that's a relief. Presumably if the dog has been injected, the vet won a technical victory?

5:30 am

I think so! though Holly did wee on the floor afterwards - so what do you reckon? dog 1 : vet 1?

5:31 am

Sounds like a draw to me!

5:31 am

can't say that i'd give the dog a point for piddling on the floor, myself...

5:31 am

Yup! At least that's over for another year!

5:32 am

oh you can when the dog smirks at the vet while doing it!

5:32 am

Oh, haven't you heard, Atalante. They say it's going to be recommended that injections are given once a month now. To come in line with EU policy...

5:32 am

Oh! dear Haz, I would have still been here next Monday without your help

5:33 am

Ex-Wren - glad I could help - and Atalante, I'm only joking!!!

5:34 am

dog owners have it easy... i am forced to crawl partially beneath the bed to get clawed and fought (and that's just before we get in the car to leave for the vet's).

5:34 am

plllllllllease tell me you're joking, Haz! I'm not going through all that once a month! I had to sit and listen to a staffy howl for 20 minutes! anyone got any nurofen?

5:35 am

I have one of those too, phess ....

5:35 am

I'm joking! Couldn't resist the temptation to put the wind up.

5:36 am

*giggles* can you IMAGINE! You'd never see your husband - he'd be sticking needles into bottoms all day and night!

5:37 am

It doesn't bear thinking about, does it?

5:39 am

no! its bad enough trying to understand all the rituals around EU pet passports

5:41 am

being a US citizen, if i were travelling with my pet, i'd be inclined to look into an injected RFID... dunno if they're going to do that, but since RFID's are in US passports now, who knows.

5:41 am

Yes, the rules are not exactly user-friendly.

5:42 am

RFID?

5:42 am

phess, it's not just the rabies aspect, there are anti-tick things to go through as well.

5:44 am

urf yes. your dog has to be up to date with rabies vaccs, and then no less than 24 or 48 hours (can't remember which) before re-entering the UK, they have to go to a vet to get anti-tick and mite stuff and get a check-over, then they go to the vets back here as well

5:58 am

how many words are there today??

199

5:58 am

Damn those re's:::I'll leave them until later, much later, then maybe I wont have time to finish

5:58 am

199

5:58 am

199

5:58 am

ricey - 199

6:11 am

can someone tell me how many biggies?

6:11 am

Amanda - 23 7's, 3 8's & 2 9's.......

6:12 am

Morning all. AmandaCath - 23 x 7s, 3 x 8s and 2 x 9s.

6:13 am

Jacula - I think you'll find it's afternoon now, this side of the pond, but hello anyway.......

6:14 am

hmmm - I've got the en8 and the sc9 - what do the other 8 & 9's start with?

6:14 am

Forgot to check the clock. LOL.

6:17 am

Hi again Can anyone help with a clue to the re7/32 please

...- -...

6:18 am

Mitch - you feel re7/32 when you've done something you shouldn't have, or to send a telegraph again

6:19 am

lovely clue amanda, thanks

6:22 am

YW - how bout the er7? From the log I got that it has something to do with a possible state of a part of the male anatomy, but I can't seem to get that into 7 letters...?

6:24 am

it's an er5 that builds (so to speak) to an er9, there is no er7

6:25 am

starts from the 2nd e on the top row.

6:26 am

I'm terribly sorry but ... what's all this or sc9, er7, re7/32 ... it's clearly lingo, but not one that a newbie, such as myself understands :D ...

6:26 am

got the 5 and 6, will see how much bigger it can get ... sorry, bad puns are so hard to resist!

6:27 am

re7/32 - is shorthand for a word that begins with re, has 7 letters and yields 32 points. These are reached by adding up the point value of the tiles used, and multiplied by 4. 5 letter words are doubled, 6 trebled and so on.

6:28 am

dramalho - it is a way of giving clues w/o typing the actual word . Do have a look at the link under friends of babble - Anglesongs Resources - it will explain a lot about how to play and what it's all about. :)

6:28 am

right, thanks Haz, think I got it now :)

6:29 am

Good, hope you enjoy the game.

6:29 am

I will Mitch ;) I can't keep missing 100 words like I've doing :) (actually this is my second puzzle, but what the heck ) :)

6:30 am

LOL amanda, try adding the n4/4 to the end of the 5. Hi again Haz - 18 left to find, how are you getting on?

6:31 am

duh! thanks Mitch - and pass the fish

6:32 am

Thanks, FMitch. I just made it bigger.:-))))

6:33 am

LOL Jac, love yr icon BTW

6:36 am

Thanks, FMitch. I dreamed about that dog last night. He's so cute. Haven't had a dog for some years now - still getting over the total trauma of taking my old one (who was 18) on his 'final journey'. Has anyone seen the Rainbow Bridge thing? I still weep buckets over that.

6:39 am

I dreamt about Hayden Christensen last night *grins muchly* then got woken up by the cat deciding to use my stomach as a trampoline ... just great ...

6:40 am

Atalante - the two cats who decided to adopt me in my dogless time get shut into the utility room at night. Their food, water and litter tray is in there. It's their bedroom.

6:41 am

VERY sensible. Mine stays well out of the way too - until husband manages to leave the bedroom door open at 5:30am as he staggers off to work ...

6:42 am

Well at 110 and getting nowhere, I am resorting to lists ... one of these days I'd like to finish a grid without them

6:43 am

Ah!!!!! amanda we can all dream of that, I too am working on the list (thank goodness for them)!!!!

6:43 am

BTW - Mr. Pres - your new tick-box list is fantastic!

6:43 am

111 here, Amanda. Sometimes, it helps to just stop looking for a while and go and do something else. When you return words just jump out at you. Works for me, anyway.

6:48 am

I see 'Tesco' is in the grid. They get everywhere, don't they? LOL.

stupid corporate advertising...

morning all can someone give a clue for the ce 6 pls

what is the icon suposed to be today? Seeing lots of different things but not sure what they all have in common

6:51 am

Sheryl - theme today is supposed to be fav childhood toy or game. I couldn't make my mind up so stuck with my usual one.

6:52 am

Good morning, all... Merry Spring to you! *dances joyfully around chat, strewing daisy petals*

6:53 am

Morning Jera and Merry Spring to you too :)

6:53 am

hello everyone....good to see you all : )

6:54 am

Not sure how long I will have as the littlies are home today...

6:56 am

think I best get the list or I will never get finished in time...95 to go and sort of stopped !!!

6:57 am

wow, a 60pt word !

6:57 am

I'm a bit stalled at 87 words, but thrilled to have just found ma5/16 (bet I can make it plural)!

6:58 am

Whoo-hoo! 88!

6:58 am

I keep wanting to put 'secret'....but it's not there (is it ?)....

6:58 am

Sheryl the ce6 is plural of ce4/5 - c*** pit

6:59 am

bernold there are 2 x 9/60 an er and an sc

6:59 am

Sorry, I'm a bit manic today...

6:59 am

no, but secrecy is

6:59 am

I keep wanting to put crescent!!

7:00 am

bearnold please don't post words in the log

ty amanda

7:00 am

*whispers to bearnold* Don't give away words like that... spoils the fun...

7:01 am

thank you amanda :)

7:01 am

Happycat, no secret... I also want to make sorcerer fit... lovely phantom words today...

7:01 am

5am in seattle

7:02 am

must be on the same wavelength Jera....I keep trying that too !!

7:03 am

lunch time here jetx

7:03 am

lunch time....whoa....must be europe?

7:04 am

centre of England jetx

7:04 am

I'm in a magical mood, for SOME reason...

7:05 am

jetx... cool name... anything to do with the kids cartoon block? My daughter loves those!

7:05 am

spring got to you jera ?

7:05 am

nice!....just babbling before work

7:06 am

That must be it... the kids are excited about planting seeds this afternoon...

7:07 am

One more word will tip me over the halfway mark... then I need to go clean the kitchen... everything STILL smells like corned beef & cabbage!

7:07 am

nope.....just my current net moniker

7:08 am

Jera- was the corned beef and cabbage in honour of St Patrick's day?

7:09 am

Yes... well, I don't care for him much but the kids wanted to celebrate anyway... so I let them cook it... good stuff. I usually wear green anyway, so that doesn't make the day special...

7:09 am

sometimes I go by jjetx or jettx or jetxx and so on....

7:09 am

doing corned beef filled jackets tonight !!!

7:10 am

I was amazed to discover that Americans think it's traditional Irish fare. I've never eaten it and don't know that it is served much here at all.

7:12 am

corned beef hash seems to be getting 'trendy'

7:13 am

Not being Irish, I really have no idea... I can handle a little pop culture... if it's not traditional Irish fare, wonder how it came to be part of St Pat's day tradition??

7:13 am

Yes, as is 'champ', long regarded as peasant fare here. It's now been elevated to a much higher status.

7:13 am

Just had corned beef hash for breakfast this morning! Hi all! :)

7:13 am

i had a pastrami sandwich during yesterdays babble session.

7:14 am

Morning, Jen.

7:14 am

thats it then Haz....its the American influence !! Hi Jen :)

7:15 am

It's pretty traditional Irish-American fare...

7:17 am

ok ...all this talk about food makes me want my lunch....see you later :)

7:17 am

Must take a break for lunch. See you later.

7:17 am

Aaaaaahhh! Irish-American... we just muddle up everything, don't we (Americans)? Always have to put our own spin on things... It's part of our charm! {{{JEN}}}

7:17 am

Bye, Haz & Karys!!

7:19 am

Interesting entry re corned beef in the wikipedia...

7:19 am

TTFN Haz and Karys. {{Jera}} How'd the cookie sale go? Sorry we didn't make it down! I pretty much finished the taxes but need to find info on claiming non-taxable VA disability benefits.

7:21 am

...corned beef serving as a substitute for Irish bacon

7:22 am

instead of a BLT you could have a CBLT sandwich

7:22 am

Yes, jetx... I never knew! Tha's okay, Jen... we sold about 30 boxes & were so cold we bailed on the second session... wasn't worth it! It's not like they will spoil or go to waste...

7:23 am

We will probably do another local Booth, then save them for Mayfest, back in Strasburg (we always go there & have a Girl Scout Booth). By then people have eaten all they bought & want more... plus the weather is better...

7:25 am

Isn't this weather wacky? They are predicting snow tomorrow! Happy spring, huh!

hi everyone!

7:28 am

Hi Temple.

7:28 am

Hey TO!

7:31 am

Good Mornig - Happy first day of Spring everyone :)

7:31 am

Woohoo 199 and done!! will be around for a while if clues needed. Hi everyone that's recently arrived.

7:31 am

Happt spring faerie! :)

7:32 am

Jen, I think Winter forgot about snow this year... we have that Thanksgiving snow (early), now this session in Spring! We only had one good, pretty, deep snow that got the kids out of school.

7:32 am

{{{FAERIE}}} Merry Spring!

7:32 am

FMitch - CONTRATULATIONS!!!! woot, woot, woot

7:33 am

congrats, fmitch!

7:33 am

Congrats, FMitch!! {{{TempleOwl}}} (your bird is in the grid, you know)

7:33 am

Faerie - I'm singing now: 'f I ruled the world Every day would be The first day of Spring Every heart would have A new song to sing And we'd sing of the joy Every morning would bring...'

7:33 am

Merry Spring Jera - love your little Faerie. I also have a faerie sitting my daisies

7:33 am

*~*~*~*~FIREWORKS FOR FMITCH*~*~*~*~

7:33 am

Thank you dear babblers :)

7:34 am

Really, faerie?? I must need to refresh... brb...

7:34 am

Ohhh Jacs - I love that song. I wish everyday could be spring also :)

7:35 am

8:25 am

hi snowyowl... I like books -- books were (and are still) like friends in many ways. We moved around so much that one of the few constants was my books. So when I was trying to think of a favorite 'toy or game' I realized books would be it.

8:25 am

Hi Jera!!!!!!!! Have missed chatting with you all -but time has been one of the myriad things I haven't had lately!

8:26 am

ch1212 -I have to admit that they would probably have been my 1st choice too - but I loved the way the etch a sketch okked as an icon!

8:27 am

Okay, so the theme list has been updated (again)...... Ah well, better change my icon then..... BRB.......

8:28 am

8:48 am

8:49 am

okay seriously folks, the 1st re5 is driving me batty! :)

8:49 am

Jen, I have 2 re5s, but I dont use the list so I don't know if either one is what you need. They are 10 and 18 pts.

8:54 am

Godthaab-your welcome..any questions please ask.

8:54 am

8:58 am

Godthaab - re 5/14 word begins with re has 5 letters in it and is worth 14 points. Each letter in the grid also has a number at the bottom.

Purple tongue is good....

10:18 am

How can there be so many er words? I have such a paltry pile of them - all little.

10:19 am

yes, it is terrific and yes, i did the grid in the wee hours i wish i hadn't!

10:20 am

afternoon all

10:20 am

You obviously haven't discovered the straight up and down qualities of er9/60

10:20 am

LOL Hurshy! Congrats XD

10:20 am

Hi ruthy.

10:21 am

do you mean, Haz, that I might expand upon my er5/6?

10:33 am

Happiest of birthdays harp!!! Hi gramma.

10:34 am

10:35 am

10:38 am

10:38 am

(((((((((((((MIYA))))))))))))) )))

10:38 am

no worries, gramma. The question was put to Miy. Love your toy.

10:39 am

Hey, Shorty!!!! thank you for helping me :)

10:39 am

TY mab. Are you familiar w/the Irish mail?

10:39 am

Hi all!!! What a trip down memory lane looking for a 60's Sindy...Remember my brother and I playing with Sindy,Paul,Action man and a knee height(to action man) flamenco dolly to make up the party...Lol

10:40 am

hi shorty! Any clues please for the sc9 please

10:40 am

Hello everyone!!!

10:40 am

tbear! HI -I had Tressy with the growing ponytail!

10:40 am

For the sc 9 - think of MS, then pluralise the S part

10:41 am

(((BIG hugs for Shorty))) how are you?

10:41 am

Haz you are a fountain of clues TYTY!!!!

10:41 am

dr_god?

10:41 am

I'm good, glad to see you back How are you?

10:42 am

hello :)

10:42 am

Hi tbear, shorty. Oh, I remember Tressy! Must go to appt. now. Later.

10:42 am

Hello fake

10:43 am

hello fakeplastic Later mab

10:43 am

I'm GREAT thanks Shorty, how are you! But...I just had a weird thought. You know toast always falls butter/marmalade/jam whatever side DOWN? and that that's a scientifically proven fact? ...if I put butter on BOTH sides of my toast and drop it, will it fly?!

10:43 am

balker - i don't think he's online now... he's not logged in over at iron sudoku, anyway

10:43 am

snowy...I remember her...I had Sindys red sportscar for 2 hours one Christmas Day morning before my father sobered up,repackaged it and returned it in due course....miserable b_______ :)

10:44 am

balker, poor flagless thing, send message via comments link at bottom of page.

10:44 am

No Miy - you will just get a very messy carpet!!!!! LOL

10:44 am

I'm mailing with him, I just wanted him to see a message where there's no flag :)

10:45 am

Ok, balker, you're all set. Refresh the page.

10:45 am

He must have sold all the flags to the middle east, I hear there's a lot of demand

10:45 am

oooooh

10:45 am

yep, thanks!

10:45 am

Oh tbear! - My daughter says I scarred her for life cos she didn't get a Sindy caravan!

10:46 am

No Miy, it will land on it's crusty edge. Everybody knows that.

10:46 am

oh, that's right, FMitch. Destroy a childhood dream!!!

10:46 am

LOL Miya

10:46 am

But...But Mab... *sighs* I just wanted to believe it :/

10:47 am

miya - they did a mythbusters on the toast thing. they found that if you drop toast from vertical, it does NOT prefer the butter side. but in real life, people drop it by knocking it off the table, where it is always butter side UP. and it does have a tendency to fall on the opposite side from a table, butter or no butter. so really, the butter is not the problem!!

10:47 am

tbear, that's truly horrid.

10:47 am

And the toast will land on one side, bounce and land on the other.

10:47 am

now, miya, what you need to do is butter a cat, which always lands on its feet... the spinning can run a city's electrical needs!

10:47 am

snowy.....put her in touch with me...we can have Sindy withdrawal co-counselling sessions....might well be that thats holding me back in life....Yeah thats it I need a Sindy sportscar.....

10:47 am

Hi Dr_God!

10:48 am

Good day all. Great toys today! How's the grid?

10:48 am

balker - I think you are our 1st identified Danish player - welcome!

10:48 am

can you believe it the first day of spring and we have a WINTER FREAKING STORM WARNING

10:48 am

and there are no free lunches - buttering a cat requires more energy than the spinning will produce

10:49 am

LOL Spellacked!!! got a cat you can lend me? huh? XD Hurshy...but...*bursts into tears*

10:49 am

I'm happy to see some s's today. THere has been an s drought of late.

10:49 am

FMitch, thanks, but without the flag showing, we may never know for sure

10:50 am

Hehe. Me too shorty. 6 inches overnight. :o)

10:50 am

balher the flag is there now hit F5 to refresh

10:50 am

Words to live by, balker. I'm sticking with the edge. Really gone now.

10:50 am

Hey Hollybug - glad to see you went pro!

10:50 am

Balker refresh F5 and you will see your lovely flag

10:50 am

fmitch, I know, I meant before :)

10:51 am

Hehe. Thank you. I'm glad I did too. :o)

10:51 am

LOL tbear I always wanted plastic Cinderella glass slippers & never got them. My grandchildren have about 20 pairs now! The clip clopping on the wooden floors is deafening!

10:51 am

Sindy, Paul & the red MG. I had these in the 60s.:-)))

10:51 am

ah...I'm off...I'm going to go force some toast to land butter side up. better still, I'm going to make it FLY XD Ja ne!

10:51 am

bye ya Miya!!! come back soon

10:52 am

Jacula....YOU can't have had them...I HAD THEM.......confused and everso slightly dazed

10:52 am

10:52 am

Holly did you get the snow yet?

10:52 am

bye Miy come back soon!!!

10:52 am

bye miy - welcome back btw - great to see you!

10:52 am

'Bye Miya. LOL, TBear.

10:52 am

I don't mind if I don't have plans But of course I have PLANS

10:53 am

TBear, did you have Sindy's sister, Patch, and her dog Ringo?

10:53 am

Not yet... it's suppose to start this evening and continue into the morning... But it's getting quite chilly.

10:53 am

Ohhh I'm sorry. I hope we don't get too much then. My kids are gone for the week and I wouldn't mind being snowed in -especially if Greg could stay home too.

10:53 am

yeah same here

10:53 am

Hehe. EXACTLY. I love the snow when I don't have anything to do...

10:54 am

bubye miya!!

10:54 am

My Sindy was a brunette (as am I) and my best friend's was a blonde (as is she). We had hours of fun with them.

10:54 am

Okay into the grid I go.

10:55 am

Jacs....so you know 'bout Sindy and Action Man then...there was some serious snogging going on behind Pauls back WITH sound effects (well I was a liberated child of liberated parents of the 60's)

10:55 am

TBear - Yes, I believe that flighty blonde Sindy of my friends got up to all sorts with her brother's Action Man. My Sindy was faithful to her Paul. LOL.

10:56 am

Good morning everyone -- back for the last 50. :)

10:56 am

My sisters cut Tressy's ponytail off almost to the scalp so I can lay claim to the 1st punk doll - this was the 1960s! They also cut all the hair off the last doll I was allowed to have & drew with biro all over her face! I still can't quite forgive them!

10:57 am

Hi Cyber

10:57 am

Jacs...now your two sound more news worthy than Sindy and Action Man...especially in the sixties!!

10:57 am

... And as for that tart Tressy, our other friend's doll... Well... *Grins*

10:57 am

anyone have a subtle clue for the a's?

10:58 am

12:39 pm

now I have to drive an hour this afternoon to see the specialist with a plastic window, hope it doesn't blow off

12:39 pm

Rats! I hope they are over. This is the first day I've had in weeks to babble at will. House is clean, no realtor coming to look at it, no company, no hubby home, kids are home so I don't have to leave to go get them, etc. I'm really looking forward to a leisurely babble experience today.

12:39 pm

UGH sheryl that is terrible. I had a crummy morning too but not that bad.

bye ex. yep I didn't have that e variant either.

12:52 pm

start me off can't even remember the first line

12:52 pm

the first cr6/21 is a chemical, similar to that sticky stuff from a southwestern bush

12:52 pm

Or how about "Tell me why I don't like Mondays..."

12:53 pm

re 6/21: break that the kids enjoy at school mid-morning and mid afternoon.

12:53 pm

It was a Monday A day like any other day I left the small town for the apple in decay It was my destiny It's what we needed to do they were telling me I'm telling you...

12:53 pm

cr 6/21- I can't access the definition, but start with cre and end with a word meaning the sun

12:53 pm

I don't like Monday's I wanna shoot the whole day down

12:53 pm

re6/21 is a break, or a leaving I could really use or5/12

12:54 pm

the message machine in side her head gets switched to overload and nobody's gonna go to school to today she's gonna make them stay at home

12:54 pm

en 8/45- to enchant or bewitch

12:54 pm

Thank you, Spellacked and Kimm -- been looking for that one for a long time -- so has smithchick -- hope she saw it.

12:55 pm

Actually, the title is Long, Long Way From Home...

12:56 pm

Or 5/12- an abalone

12:56 pm

Thanks Kimm me tooo

12:56 pm

saw them in the 70's but can't place the song

12:56 pm

Your welcome. Gotta run. I have some papers to correct.

12:57 pm

Thanks again, Kimm. er 9 (know it is built on the 5/12, but haven't been able to find it!)?

12:58 pm

Think of a word for witchcraft, smith

12:58 pm

1:14 pm

HI, helen!

1:14 pm

kartra - rhymes with 'ear'.

1:15 pm

TSM? Hello?

1:15 pm

kartra, which me4/5?

1:16 pm

lgorms - it isn't in the grid - should be okay.

1:17 pm

why is "roma" not allowed anymore. it's been in other grids and counted? any thoughts?

1:17 pm

ToeSockMonkey, wait Hannah... Will you marry me?

1:17 pm

Thanks musicmom -- was drawing a blank on that one. Is the se 7/44 related?

1:17 pm

Hey smaller... Where ya been hiding?

1:18 pm

yes. I still need the 5/14 before it.

1:18 pm

smithie!!!!! good to see you!!!! we're in our busy season at work. so i've actually had to...work. darn!

1:18 pm

New strategy today -- working from the end of the alphabet up, to save on scrolling

1:19 pm

abbreviation for second company?

1:19 pm

hey, just noticed my name is in the puzzle today.... eat at j***

1:19 pm

anyone have a hint for se7/44? it has to start with SEC and involve a Y, i'm pretty sure

1:20 pm

Blech...blasted work... I've been housewifing myself into a state of perpetual cleaning. It has to stop!

1:20 pm

Good strategy, skizzy!

1:20 pm

skizzy -- lol -- I always start with that intention, but then I see words at the beginnng of the alphabet that I just know I'll forget if I don't enter them!

1:20 pm

shhhhh skizzy we can't tell.

1:20 pm

I have no se7's yet. Bummer...

1:21 pm

1:21 pm

TY, Music!

1:21 pm

1:23 pm

Hi Schroeder! :)

1:24 pm

LOL great clue MusicMom! Hi Tink!!

1:24 pm

My strategy is to go all through the grid starting in the upper left hand corner and finding as many as I can for each letter and then breaking out the list after I've gone through the whole grid once. I'm in the middle of my first pass. About to start l...

1:24 pm

That's a neat way to do it Smith. i'll have to try that tomrrow.

1:25 pm

I've had a realtor come look at my unlisted house, gone out of town and had company for three days. This is my first free babble day in a couple of weeks where I don't have to race through! Very exciting...

1:25 pm

LOL smithie, that's such a high work-ethic strategy. i noodle as much as my attention span will allow (about 10 minutes)and then sprint to the list!

1:25 pm

Oh well, jilted, again. Have a happy Monday folks, I'm off.

1:26 pm

Lately, I've been breaking out the list really early so I could hurry up and finish while I had a few minutes here and there. I prefer the luxury of leisurely going through the grid.

1:26 pm

Oh, don't be sad Capone!

1:26 pm

any hints for Jo4?

1:26 pm

bye all...good luck

1:26 pm

er9/60 no matter how many times i type the er word just cant come up with the 9 ,where am i failing ????

1:57 pm

cybernan

1:57 pm

Hey, Temple...did the headache go away?

1:57 pm

or maybe it's c-nan -- one of them won't take anything over 6 letters!

yes, thanks, smith! but the schoolwork didn't!!!

nan & ty for saying i'm good, wasn't always like that, big learning curve, but happy to be red. & i'm afraid i will never get to the high 2000's, cause i don't type well, only mouse.

1:58 pm

the ER 9 is within the first two rows of the grid.

1:58 pm

Hi Temple!!!!!

1:58 pm

It never does, does it?

1:58 pm

Yvo -- think of the scot lake monster

1:58 pm

the last me5/12?

1:58 pm

there is one letter for the e9/60 in the thrid row of the grid as well.

1:58 pm

what site do you play tangleword on?

hi temple ok, nan, next time - i will know it's you, what's your rank on tangle?

1:59 pm

Hi TO good to see you too.

1:59 pm

OH, excellent, cybernan! Got that er9!

1:59 pm

me 5/12: intermediate, but not a commonly used word.

2:00 pm

lol, helen -- a lowly green

2:01 pm

smith: iwin.com

lol nan - do you have alot of games played? it was a long climb for me to red, with 3 or 4 dazzling light bulbs going off along the way!

2:01 pm

got it thanks!

2:02 pm

I played it the other day for the first time. I'm not very good. Can't remember my score, but it was singularly unimpressive...

2:02 pm

co8?

2:02 pm

no -- only go there when I have nothing better to do.

thanks for er clues.... : )

smith- the tangle site was down for a week (about 3 weeks ago) iwin.com bought playsite.com & incorporated their games, so meanwhile all us tanglers went off to find other addictions, i found this one!!!!

2:03 pm

I just can't think fast enough to get the high scores on tangle -- the brain does start to slow down at my age! -- as well as the fingers and lots of other body parts!!

2:03 pm

Rue the day, helen...

2:04 pm

Gang - i have to go - 20 words left but duty calls. All c and s words for me when I return. Ttyl.

bye, mm!

2:05 pm

bye musicmom :)

2:05 pm

Bye Musicmom!!

yep smith - everyone begins like that! you only have to have a little killer instinct to get better. i've told a bunch of people there about this site. i like to describe the two games as polar opposites, same basic principle, but this game is played at a snail's pace & tangle comparatively is played at light speed

lol smith, nope, now i spend way more time here than i do at tangle, only really went there yesterday cause i had problems getting on here. :)

2:06 pm

where is tangle?

2:07 pm

Bye musicmom!

2:07 pm

nevermind

2:07 pm

Tangleword: boggle game at iwin.com

2:08 pm

NaN hours left! AGHH! I'm totally OCDing right now. this is messing up my routine. :(

2:08 pm

LOL boreetos!

2:08 pm

Bye folks -- off to play a round if Eight1 (more my speed) -- back at the flip:)

hey boreetos!

2:09 pm

Bye cybernan!!

bye nan

bye, nan

2:10 pm

I was all ready with my movie poster, when I see that it's games today... evening all :D

2:10 pm

Hiya Sherb!!

2:10 pm

Hey, sherb...

2:11 pm

en8/45 any clues please?

hey sherb! i simply cannot see the last three wo words....as if i have a blind spot....

2:11 pm

hiya Schro and smithchick :D :D

2:11 pm

Good afternoon all. I will have to try tanglewords, although I tend to choke under time pressure. On the other hand, it sounds like what I need to force myself to think faster.

2:11 pm

Hey mo... Who else is lurking out there!

2:12 pm

It's my first day to be able to play without lurking in weeks!

2:12 pm

hey Temple :D ...Babble or Sudoku...

2:12 pm

thank you got it finally, cybernan and Angelsong thanks

2:12 pm

co8?

2:13 pm

hi smithchic... i havent been lurking honest ...ive just finished dinner!!!

2:13 pm

Hello mab!

2:13 pm

LOL, mo. What'd you have?

2:13 pm

I'm lurking because I'm on lunch and trying to get as many words as possible! ;) Hi everyone!

mab, if you go to tangle - 2 pieces of advice. do NOT, under any circumstances start in the 30 second room - i still get killed in there. go to the 5 minute room, or look for a 2 minute room with a lower ceiling

2:14 pm

Temple: Last three mo's -- think chocolate

2:14 pm

Hey, kristin!

2:15 pm

hiya smithy!

2:15 pm

any better?

lol mab - i crack myself up - by lower ceiling i mean: only players up to a certain rank can play there, more of an even competition - many people get disheartened & quit cause it seems so hard at first, but most folks are friendly & will help you out

2:15 pm

homemde guinea fowl and ham pie with mashed potatoes ,celeriac and sprouts

2:16 pm

Angel co plus er6/21..

2:16 pm

sigh... drat the firewall... i want to tangle some words

2:17 pm

I am lurking for clues.. I am stuck on the 9 letter work in line 1 & 2. grrrrrr

is tangle word boggle? i play boggle and i think that's why i have so much trouble getting long words - speed counts there! however - i played so much i am now competing with myself on certain puzzles!

2:17 pm

Sounds good mo!

2:17 pm

en8/45 please anyone

2:18 pm

Holy crow Mo! That is quite the feast (at least by my humble standards)

2:18 pm

I have the er9. any clues for the others?

ooooh temple - yes it is like boggle with one great improvement - i used to play boggle on games.com, but on tangle you are able to rotate the board, it's amazing how many words you can find from a different perspective!

2:19 pm

I don't have it either, mo.

2:19 pm

my dear husband made the pie ...i just did the boring bits

2:19 pm

also need clues for the 8's other than the co8, which I found, thanks, mab.

i wish i was able to rotate this board - sometimes i sit here with my head at all kinds of weird angles :)

2:19 pm

Wait, yes I do. It means to enchant or bewitch... Think of merlin...

Hello fellow Babblers. This is my first day and I am curious about the code "en8/45" spoken among more seasoned wordsmiths. What does that mean? Loving the game!

hiya hurshy - what do you mean?

2:20 pm

i mean i live at a boarding school, and there's a firewall which blocks most game sites. thankfully not this one!!! so i cannot play on iwin.com :(

2:21 pm

well i guess it's not the firewall so much as the settings they put so the students won't play games

2:21 pm

The word starts with en, is 8 letters long and is worth 45 points. That babble for dummys link is great as is angelsong's link.

2:21 pm

down to last 3: the last me5/12, the first se5/14, and the last se6/18. The me in particular is frustrating me... a clue would be nice (I have the blackbirds and the disarray)

Thank you. So a $10 investment is worthwhile if I want to know what I'm missing?

2:22 pm

tack an s onto the second me4/5

i am still searching for the last three wo words...help please?

2:22 pm

spell - just got on, so i don't know yet if I have the me you need- do you have one that's the last part of a place to live?

If you play the game even just a few times and enjoy it, $10 is worth it

2:23 pm

merlin the wizard?

wo words - kind of like bad

2:23 pm

temple - one is a very improbable plural, then there's most bad and its plural

bummer hurshy - time for that laptop, huh? a boarding school! what a great life you must have! i'm imaging robin williams now - dead poets

Ugh, 34 words to go, 8 letter words done, and now I have to go to the office, will have to finish (I hope, for the first time ever!) tonight.

2:24 pm

smithchick - I've got that one, I think, unless there's something in between?

2:24 pm

Merlin was also a so******...

2:25 pm

Thanks for the advice, Helen. Once in a while I play a very simple boggle game at wordplays.com. No extra graphics or sounds, just the game. Registration is optional.

mab ! that's where i play!

2:26 pm

helen, a laptop wouldn't help, as i would be using the same network. no, in order to play i would have to pay for separate internet service. or maybe use my old slow free dialup.

2:26 pm

It's a weird word. me + curvy letter + 19th letter plus vowel.

2:26 pm

can i have more hints for my5... i dont see it yet!

2:27 pm

Could someone give another clue for the my5? I didn't get the first one.

2:27 pm

LOL, kartra

anyone have the first ce 4/5?

2:28 pm

hahaha,, ya ive been stuck on it for a while too

hurshy - i think you would rock on tangle!

2:28 pm

my5 - it's what Ahnuld's headache isn't

2:28 pm

grigs, honey, was that your toy as a child, a stick? Were you perhaps a feral child? Raised by chipmunks?

2:29 pm

sorry smithchic still cant get the en8 word

2:29 pm

spellacked, I actually got that! TY!

2:29 pm

it was the BEST toy! It could be a gun, or a sword, or a cane, or a steering wheel.... or i could tie a string to it and have a bow, or it could be a guitar....

2:30 pm

my 5/18 - add 4th vowel + 13th letter in the alphabet + 1st vowel.

2:30 pm

I would kill for that en8, Mo. Why won't anyone clue us?

2:30 pm

It ends with an l. The practice of magic is also called so*****. That is the root word.

2:31 pm

i know, it is a sad loss to the tangle world. maybe next time i visit my parents i will play it.

2:31 pm

smithchick - thanks, good clue!

2:31 pm

Yay for grigs and his brilliant toy and imagination! My five sisters and I would play shipwreck on a twin bed. It was our island. It was a very crowded little island.

2:32 pm

smithchick thank you i have it now!

2:32 pm

YW, grigs...

2:32 pm

en8 --- bewitch

2:32 pm

YW, mo!

2:33 pm

if you had had my stick, you could have built a sailboat and sailed away... or rowed somewhere...

2:33 pm

Well, that's great grigs. I like the simplicity of it and how that leaves room for the imagination. It's no troll doll of course...

2:34 pm

ne5/10 and ne6/18 anyone pleeease

lol hurshy mab - i will check out your site

2:34 pm

LOL, grig!! Would that I had your stick... I'm grown now and I still haven't managed to row to far away from my parents. Well, I did and the current dragged me back.

can anyone help with the first mo4/6 please?

2:35 pm

okay, back to pretending to work. I have clients waiting for prenuptial agreements. (waaah, I wanna afford to pay cash for my house! of couse, if they couldn't afford that, they probly couldn't afford to hire lawyers to write prenups)

2:35 pm

mo - ne5/10 is a perfume ingredient... but think roman

2:35 pm

LOL again grigs. Whiners!

2:36 pm

Matkins - mo4/6 - indian wear or snakes

2:36 pm

Prenups, how romantic.

2:36 pm

Hi and welcome back, matkins!

2:37 pm

grrrr -- last word is the last me5/12!!!!! Still can't get it after smithchick's hints.

2:37 pm

en8 means to enchant or cast a spel. last two letters sounds like a wing on a building.

2:38 pm

Spellacked thank you ...i should have got those

thanks MM! got it! (finally)

2:38 pm

I'm back... Merry Spring, everyone!!

2:38 pm

evening all : )

2:39 pm

me + the first letter of my name + consonant + vowel (second one)

2:39 pm

Thanks mm, smithie, all. I got the en8 finally.

2:39 pm

Hey jera and lola!

2:39 pm

Hi lola! How good of you to bring your legos.

2:40 pm

And Jera! Merry Spring to you as well!

spellacked- still can't find it but will keep looking thanks anyway

2:40 pm

hi smith and mab : )

2:42 pm

First timer here...I got 73 words so far. Any idea how many there are today?

2:42 pm

smithchick -- that did it! I'm done. The previous clue said, "me + curvy letter + 19th letter" -- should have said 14th. Now I can get back to work :(

2:42 pm

Finally got all the dirt off my dining room table... too cold to plant seeds outside... but the kids had a blast!

2:43 pm

johnny: 199 words, including two 9s, only one of which is plural

2:43 pm

hi johnny, and welcome! Go to angelsong's page (link in box top right of screen). All the info you need is there : )

2:43 pm

...oh, and there are 199 words today : )

2:43 pm

the first se6/18 and 7/28 are alluding me ...help please

2:44 pm

Hi all. Please help with co 7/36 (2nd one) and 8/50 immediately after. Also, first re 6/18. Any help is much appreciated!!!

2:44 pm

Is Anj here?

2:44 pm

i'm new here, too. only have 104 words so far. how will i ever find 85 more?!

2:44 pm

Thanks alot! My wife and I will probably compete at this. I hate to Lose!!!

2:45 pm

I've not seen him, but I've been away for a bit.

2:45 pm

vtd co8 is co+builds

2:46 pm

Mo - See ce 6/21 & 7/28 - change first letter

2:46 pm

I am sorry I meant ce - 7/32

2:47 pm

vtd - co's are e-words done with someone else. re6/18 - how you'd feel if we told you all the answers

2:49 pm

i have two 8s, but no 9s. how many are there? clues, anyone?

2:49 pm

krajc... thank you very much

2:51 pm

VTD - co - 7/36 - co + (means upright) or see - er 5/12 co - 8/50 - plural of co 7/36

2:52 pm

Mo - Your welcome!

2:52 pm

First time playing, how many words are there supposed to be in this puzzle, anyway?

2:52 pm

just realised i havent got the remaining se5/10.se6/18,se5/18 and se6/30,,,help please

2:53 pm

189

2:53 pm

somebody said 199...

2:53 pm

199

2:54 pm

Mo - se 5/10 is plural of se 4/4

2:54 pm

HI new people. There are a lot of you. Where did you all here about babble?

2:54 pm

I didn't follow the comment thread...my bad. That means I'm not doing so hot...I only have 58 words so far...

2:54 pm

199, Douglas. If you click on the link at right to Angelsongs page you'll find lots of info, and a list of the first two letters of each word.

2:55 pm

hi smithchick. my bro-in-law sent me this link ysterday. now i'm an addict :(

2:55 pm

krajc...thank you i have that ...the ones i need are the ones after that

2:55 pm

mab. I am overwhelmed by the desire to fluff your hair.... : )

2:55 pm

se - 6/18 (see ce 6/21) I don't have the other two, yet.

2:56 pm

But it's poor etiquette to give answers, yes?

2:56 pm

It doesn't take long, ca$h... se5/18... It's a weird spelling of a word meaning sadness without the double consonant in the middle and with a different beginning vowel. The se6/30 is the plural.

2:56 pm

Mo - Whoops, I haven't got those yet, sorry.

2:57 pm

Yes douglas, very poor etiquette. Another clue for se5/18. Se + *** your boat...

2:57 pm

I just got a 7/28. Woo-hoo!

2:57 pm

Go douglas!

2:57 pm

LOL lola

2:57 pm

krajc... no worries ,,,but thank you anyway

2:58 pm

Hey, shorty!

2:58 pm

hey!!!

2:58 pm

Am I gonna smack myself when I find the a's? I have no idea at this point what they are.

2:58 pm

Apparently you can't use the same letter twice...

2:59 pm

I know, lola, she's pretty cute. I adored troll dolls (and still have a couple).

2:59 pm

given up on sudoku... I should never have let myself be tempted...

2:59 pm

smith, am6/24 and am7/36. They sound a bit like where you live : )

3:00 pm

shall I build her a lego house?? : )

3:00 pm

Thank you thank you for clues. Got both co's. My last one for the day is still the first re 6/18. Spellacked - I'd feel "relieved," but that's not in the puzzle!!! Another clue anyone for the re?

3:00 pm

No, smithie, it's a strange word. a plus french for thank you with a different vowel at the end. and plural.

3:00 pm

TY, lola. I wouldn't have guessed those anytime soon.

3:01 pm

I just got a 6/18, doo-dah, doo-dah.

hey lola! hey shorty! :)

3:01 pm

hey TO!!!!

3:01 pm

Douglas is on fire!

3:02 pm

A lego house would be great. Leave room in case she meets an eligible male troll doll.

3:02 pm

hi temple! : ) *lola throws a bucket of water over Douglas*

i am not even getting clues today... : /

3:03 pm

i have no am--- words at all. didn't understand your clues lola. sorry, i'm slow.

3:03 pm

But I seem to be starting to run out of ideas. I just got a 4/4

3:03 pm

...and starts building a lego troll doll house! : D

3:04 pm

I'm starting a strategy of looking at each letter as the first letter of a word. Just got a 4/5

mab i still have two trolls: a salt and pepper haired one and a new york mets one!

3:04 pm

cash, think of a large continent, remove one vowel and change the last one : )

3:05 pm

douglas, if you go pro you get a stats programme telling you how many words start with each tile : )

3:05 pm

does Pro also get you all those nice little icons?

3:05 pm

I've already noticed the Scrabble stragegy of extending words. 6/21, 7/32

3:06 pm

To heck with sudoku. I'm back here for a while. Hi all!

3:07 pm

must rush goodnight everyone happy babbling...see you tomorrow all being well

3:07 pm

hi tor! I made a note of the no's btw, so if you get desperate gimme a shout : )

3:07 pm

Hi torgone... I recommend going pro. It's fun!

3:07 pm

lola, i got them! thanks

3:07 pm

Hi torgone. Pretty icon. Are you in love?

3:07 pm

Bye, mo!!

3:08 pm

Mo - Did you get the two se's? If not, I have them.

bye mo...hi tor : )

3:08 pm

Ents is most certainly a word!

hi smithchick (and everyone else). There was a link on boing boing (web blog) which might be why there are more new people on babble.

3:09 pm

HI mouseshadow!

3:10 pm

cash, yes, pro gets you an icon, a handbag and a flag too! : D

3:10 pm

any j words on this?

second wo6/30 please?

3:10 pm

can somebody repost the stats please?

3:10 pm

I will, smithchick, as soon as I get a round tuit. Heya mab! In love? Me? Just with myself ..

3:10 pm

6/18

3:10 pm

temple, it's a plural : )

nevermind...

3:11 pm

Now I'm confused, but it just did let me use a letter twice. It was also the first and last letter

3:12 pm

LOL, torgone...

3:13 pm

Ecce isn't a word, but should be, as in Ecce Homo, behold the man...

3:13 pm

Douglas - can't have been the same letter twice... sometimes there's more than one way to make a word in a grid, especially one like this... :D

3:13 pm

If it is in the grid more than once, you can use it more than once, just not that letter in that position.

3:14 pm

er, it's 'ecco'...

3:14 pm

4/5, 5/12, 6/21, 7/32

3:14 pm

allright....this may sound dumb, but, How do I chage my icon?

3:16 pm

Well, you actually have to have an icon before you change it, don.

3:16 pm

Hi all, back from Brownies & ready to battle on for the last 50 words.

3:17 pm

Hey, snowy...

3:17 pm

hi snowy :D ...Etch-a-Sketch!!

3:17 pm

Hi snowy.

3:18 pm

Etch-a-Sketchs are so very cool, aren't they?

3:18 pm

can i get some hints for om4 please!

3:19 pm

ty smithchick....I'll remember that little bit of brutal honesty. and as you can see, I did find it myself

3:19 pm

etch a sketch makes a nice neat icon don't you think! LOl I loved mine!

3:19 pm

5/12, 6/21

3:20 pm

where you from donster?

3:20 pm

Someone mentioned that BoingBoing.net is sending traffic here. It's my first time here, and BoingBoing is how I found it. Cool site!

3:20 pm

Well, don. I am actually rather inept and didn't have an icon for months.. MONTHS... because I couldn't figure it out. So rather than shame myself by admitting that I couldn't tell ya, I shamed you instead.

3:21 pm

got the oms! anyone with the wr5?

3:21 pm

welcome vpchat! kartra for the om4 think of Mr Simpson - 5 is the plural

3:22 pm

Hey, vpchat!

3:22 pm

hi snowy! ((x)) : )

3:22 pm

nevermind.. hahaha.. thanks snowy!

3:22 pm

wr5 think about a sport played in a ring like boxing

3:22 pm

7 left... nuttin' but re's... *pant* *gasp*

3:23 pm

alright smithchick, now that we both have admitted to being something less than brilliant, lets start over,Kay?

3:23 pm

I'm back for a little bit. Angel - LOL I had no idea...

3:23 pm

Why do I do this to myself??

3:23 pm

Works for me, donster:)

3:24 pm

LOL, Jera! Does anyone have a clue for sc8 or sc9?

3:24 pm

Excuse me Smith - not Angel...

3:24 pm

{{{{{{{{{{FAERIEKAE}}}}}}}}}}} }}!!! How are ya?

3:24 pm

iinfo on how to change an icon is now on the resource page.... :)

3:24 pm

Jera we do it because we can! LOL

3:24 pm

It's a disease usually with multiple in front of it... MS...

3:25 pm

Oh, you knew it all along, faerie. I don't hide it well at all!

3:25 pm

(((((Smithy)))))) I'm great...thanks.

3:25 pm

((((Angel))))) there how are you doing today?

3:26 pm

Any clues for se6/21, se7/32, and first re6/18? I'd sure like to put this one behind me!

3:26 pm

TY, TY Jera!!!

3:26 pm

Hey, gwenski!

3:27 pm

Hi!( just got it se6/21)

3:27 pm

I'm working on beating Debra Hamel's percentage and score from yesterday...she got 95 out of 150 words and 1547 points

3:28 pm

and pl. Now just that pesky re6/18?

3:28 pm

I'd take clues for the se6/21 and se7/32 as well

3:28 pm

HELLO faerie,jera.Angel!!!!!

3:29 pm

Me too, stardeo.

3:29 pm

{{{shorty}}} tackle for Strawberry Shortcake. I want to play with it.

3:30 pm

I need the first 2 re's a 5/14 & 6/24...

3:30 pm

no its MINE you can't have it

3:30 pm

Jera - why do I do this to myself?... the eternal Babble question... :D

3:30 pm

se6/21: If you're trying to tell the difference between things, you usually would use a word starting with dis****. This word has same ending (and meaning). To discriminate. (never heard of it before)

3:31 pm

*sits down with pouty face* then I'll just put more lipstick on....

3:31 pm

LOL, sherb... I meant specifically leaving the dreaded re's for "dessert"...

3:31 pm

Thanks, Gwenski!

3:31 pm

Hi all, just found a se7/44

3:31 pm

So, now can I have a clue for that re6? Pretty please!!

3:32 pm

Congratulations, rebekb!!

3:32 pm

WeeeeeeeeeeelllllllllllI guess you can play with it IF you give it back

3:32 pm

Could someone help me with the first 2 re's pleeeeeeeeaaaaaaaase???

3:33 pm

Whaddya mean relose isn't a valid word?!?

3:33 pm

ok - thanks - you want some of my lipstick. *it taste really good* *and it's red*

3:33 pm

Jera - re5 another word for search, short for a much longer word

3:33 pm

Yeah, it said reclose is invalid too. boo to that!

3:34 pm

First two re's are short for 'reconnaisance'. It contains a double consonant and ends in a vowel.

3:34 pm

is it strawberry flavor

3:34 pm

*looks blankly at sherb*

3:35 pm

6:59 pm

((**Tigereye**)) - I saw you as well :)

6:59 pm

7:06 pm

Good evening one and all all over the world! I am desperate! Have managed to finish almost all the puzzles for the last few eeks and now I'm stumped! Need 2nd co 5/14 the j se 7/44 last se 5/10 Now is that too much to ask for? Please.

7:06 pm

lo 6/18 is plural for above

7:07 pm

Hiya Hoot! Was just thinking you might turn up soon. Let me just find my last word and then I'll clue you in.

7:07 pm

why is everyone going to bed right now? it's only 5:o6 where I live

re 6/18 re+ name of a red flower, i got one at valentines...

7:07 pm

jacula gave a clue for the j at 7pm

7:07 pm

lol hootowl -- thanks :) i don't know how i missed that

7:08 pm

It's 1.07am in the UK. There are people from many different time zones and parts of the world here, Amanda101.

7:08 pm

hootowl -- se 5/10 -- are on the bottom of your shoes

7:08 pm

co 5/14, the plural if its the right one

7:08 pm

thanks Matkins70gig700, that was stumping me

7:08 pm

You should smell the fish around here. Just grope along!

welcome

7:09 pm

Thanks but it's the other one.

7:10 pm

se 5/10 you are sworn to se so that you cant give clues to anyone else

hootowl what u looking for? (bored finished it and don't want to sleep...)

I'm going to stop when I reach 1,000 points I currently have 918

7:11 pm

se 5/10, last one is the plural of the one above it

7:12 pm

I'M DONE!

7:12 pm

hootowl, how many co's down

hootowl for the j think of the name of the gym in dogeball, it was average jo**

7:13 pm

well done jacula, CONGRATS, don't know how to give you fireworks, or you would have had them as well

7:14 pm

Back for a few -- but will have to do the bedtime thing for Kristianna in about 45 ((((*****Hootowl*****))))

7:14 pm

Thanks, Scatty. BRB, nattering to my daughter right now.

7:15 pm

I am more confused now than when I got here! No idea of the name of a dodgeball gym, and the se and co's are already plurals or I'm not in sequence!

7:16 pm

oh and scatty - thanks - got that one! And the fish smell gets stronger!

7:16 pm

hootowl, have you ever watched the soap friends, the jo is one of the mens name

7:17 pm

hootowl, what are you missing now

7:17 pm

hootowl -- you drink multiple cups of j**(plural)

7:17 pm

any hints for the two "a" words?

7:18 pm

do you have the jo yet, its really easy, jo then a vowel then the letter you put on the end of words to make a plurel

7:18 pm

The USA without the I and a different vowel at the end! Second is plural

7:19 pm

ty hootowl! never heard of those words before, but found them!

7:19 pm

I have entered that word at least 6 times today and it waited to embarrass me in public!

7:20 pm

I have been on this earth a good long while and I never heard of them or a lot more since I started this!

7:20 pm

hoot owl - it sort of rhymes with percy but the last letter is a vowel, the am5 and the am6 is the plural

7:21 pm

And I swiped that definition from someone earlier. Don't remember who, but thanks!

7:22 pm

Ok - j is done! Now just the co 5/14 and se 5/10

7:23 pm

co 5/14 is the present tense of a word for arriving

7:24 pm

Just monkeyed the se! It was out of sequence. Now the co

7:24 pm

anyone need anymore clues before i disappear off to bed

7:25 pm

se 5/10 please?

7:25 pm

Don't stay on my account, Scatty -- having just started I only have 32 so I have no Idea what I will need help with yet :D

7:26 pm

first one is to be more se4/4 second is plural of 4/4

7:26 pm

new to this. what does "se 5/10 please?" mean?

7:26 pm

hootowl, did you get the co 6/24, if so take the s off

7:27 pm

hmmm, I have 3 se 4/4 and none of them work with that hint :)

7:28 pm

Hi Scatty, just looked at your profile - I was originally from Oxon, Woodstock in fact.

7:28 pm

Scatty - I thank you. I owe you. All done and the smell of fish shall linger for days!!!!!

7:29 pm

hootowl, have you got the 4/6, if so, add an r or an s

7:29 pm

err, scratch that "please?" from my question :) so, asking what does "se 5/10" mean?

7:29 pm

my son has played footy there

7:30 pm

se 5/10 = word starts with "se", 5 letters long, 10 points total

7:31 pm

thank you

7:31 pm

smapo - 5/10 is a West African language

7:31 pm

smapo - the se is telling the first 2 letters of the word, the first number is how many letters, second how many points. There is a list in Bab anon in the box up right. Angelsong has a beginners site there too.

7:31 pm

I give in, those re's haunt me, and the cr's were a problem, so I am retiring: about 16 short of target. Ah well, tomorrow is another day!

7:32 pm

exwren, i live in Carterton

7:32 pm

I must be sicker than I thought. I missed soooooo many obvious words today!

7:32 pm

7:36 pm

I'm here too but being quiet

7:37 pm

Hey, I'm brand new. I have about 87 words so far. Can someone tell me how many words have y and j in them?

thnx jacula

7:37 pm

where have you lot been then

7:38 pm

Hello, Tigereye. You are one of my favourite gemstones. I have you on keyrings and bracelets, and Celtic cross necklaces.

7:38 pm

hi trebuchet, thats not bad for your first attempt, i took ages to get that far, i kept giving up until i realised that there were alot of people to get clues from

7:39 pm

have you nearly finished tigereye

7:40 pm

42 words to find and then I can go to sleep

7:40 pm

Trebuchet, I think it's 3 words with J and 8 with Y...getting that from Babblers Anonymous, link at the right. :)

7:41 pm

tigereye, have you left all the hard ones until last

150 words!!! not bad for a first timer eh? \o/

7:41 pm

The Tiger eye gemstone is used for focusing the mind. It is said that Tiger Eye offers protection during travel, strengthens convictions and confidence. This very warm stone is beneficial for the weak and sick. It is also the stone for the 9th year of marriage.

7:42 pm

Excellent work, python!!

7:42 pm

not bad at all python

7:42 pm

Not bad at all, Python!

7:42 pm

Snap, Scatty!

7:42 pm

I've left all the ones I can't see so yeah they're hard :P Sounds like a great stone for me then, I'm hugely indecisive, fairly unconfident and have been ill for three years, lol

7:43 pm

Tiger - I know, re the illness; read your profile. You must have chosen the name insinctively.

7:43 pm

73 here for _my_ first time. I _still_ rock, though, even with our friendly Python kinkin' butt.

7:44 pm

do you know before i started to play babble i used to make my own cards, i would sit there for hours, now i have to make cards as needed as i'm always sat at the computer at night

7:44 pm

I'll be back in a little bit, folks -- Kristianna has decided she doesn't want to wait until 9 to go to bed :)

7:44 pm

Well I'm a 'chatting finished one' and so I can give clues, should anyone ask...

7:45 pm

Hope you're going to read her a good bedtime tale, Wolfie.

101 words 4.65 1090 I'm going to bed

7:48 pm

seah those who check for bad words, thoughts, ideas

7:48 pm

Tigereye - my daughter sort of went through a similar thing, although she did manage and get schooling in the last year. It's never too late to go to college, once you feel able. Just be sure to only take on as much as you truly feel you can manage.

7:48 pm

Night scatty - Thanks again

7:49 pm

7:52 pm

Jac -- lawd -- you are up late (for me anyway)!

is anyone going to respond to jeffer's request for the first 3 se's? hmmmm, inquiring minds would like to know

7:53 pm

Yeah I've looked at evening courses from college and hoping to do one next year. I think I could cope with a few things, its just a case of picking things that I really want to do. I'm hoping to do some volunteer work with kids which should help on a CV

7:53 pm

Gui - I'm not called 'Jacula' for nothing! It's one of my late nights.

7:53 pm

I love your picture guigrrl. It is so cute. I love dogs.

7:54 pm

Tigereye -- IMHO -- you might go and take a few classes and see what sparks your interest :).

7:54 pm

7:54 pm

LOL Jac Amanda -- That is my 12yo dog...she's a great girl.

8:06 pm

UNC is a good school

8:07 pm

You went there?

8:07 pm

We named our dog Turbodog after visiting Abita Springs and drinking Turbodog ;)

8:23 pm

Hiya, Kristinc.

8:23 pm

Thanks, ep.

8:23 pm

yes, I am, Jacula. Are you too? Very cool. :)

8:24 pm

Cool indeed, Ep.

8:24 pm

Hi Jacula. Okay shorty, no suprise that I don't remember. Cute icon anyhow.

8:24 pm

ty

8:25 pm

The harden word I had about an hour ago, but stupid me was not spelling it right!

8:26 pm

yeah meows, this is like a different form of that word.

8:26 pm

I'm back - daughter is in bed and son is on my chest -- hopefully he will go to sleep soon :)

8:26 pm

Ok, nite all I am at 100 words for my 2nd time at puzzle. And that is good for me. Thank you all for clues

8:27 pm

aw! cute GW! Hello...

8:27 pm

good job, meows. Have a great night :)

8:27 pm

ahh what a great dad GW

8:29 pm

and now a new icon -- it is hard to make out, but it is from one of my favorite webcomics -- Queen of Wands -- it says Read above the main character, Kestrel :)

8:30 pm

GW --- do you have twins? I have an 11mo/old (who is, thankfully, sleeping)

hey woulfie! jacs are u here? need a clue please for the me5/12 that is not a plural - it's below another me5/12

8:31 pm

nope -- my daughter is 2 1/2, my son is all of 7 weeks old :)

8:31 pm

((**Temple**))

8:31 pm

GW -- so cute! I hope you are getting *some* rest :)

8:32 pm

Temple - I was away but now I'm back. The me5/12 you seek is: a lord who holds land of a superior, but grants a part of it to another person, in which case he is a tenant to the superior, but lord or superior to the second grantee, and hence is called the me*** lord.

8:32 pm

It's been in the grid before, Temple.

ok let me chew on it - multitasking tonight

8:33 pm

guigrrl - Oh, I get my rest... it usually lasts until my nose hits the monitor ;D

8:33 pm

hahahaha GW!! I'll be there again soon (hopefully :)

8:38 pm

can anyone give another hint for co 8/50?

8:38 pm

Good Morning all :)

8:39 pm

((**Dianne**))

8:39 pm

co+er 6/21 (to build) is the co7 the plural is the co8

8:40 pm

Hi Dianne!

I don't have any of the a's! I'm stuck!

hi dianne! : )

8:44 pm

Can anyone give me a clue for the 1st re6/18 (at least I think it's the 1st one I need). It is the one before "mailed again".

8:45 pm

thanks kristin

8:45 pm

yep-no problem

8:46 pm

A + last part of Chamber of Co******

need a hint for se7/32...

8:49 pm

hint for om 5/12?

8:49 pm

diane got up again or (flower) again

8:49 pm

se 7/32: plural of se 6/21 se 6/21-se+ the ending to dis**** (distinguish or seperate)

thanks kris :)

8:51 pm

jeffer - thank you so much. I couldn't see that one at all.

8:52 pm

kristinc ta for the se been dancing around it for hours!

8:52 pm

diane yw

8:52 pm

no worries, one of the few I have! any help from anyone on the first co 6/24 and co 7/36?

8:53 pm

trebuch - do you have the om4? If so make it plural. If not think about what you call hitting the ball out of the park but drop the first letter.

kris - look at am6/24

8:54 pm

kris: co6 & co7 are singular & plural of "force"

8:54 pm

thank you, that'll do! :)

8:55 pm

Thanks, I apparently just got confused about the points. So I was looking for it the wrong way.

8:59 pm

I just re6/18 so I could do my dance of joy for finishing this thing :) I've got a little time if anyone needs any clues.

9:00 pm

congrats Dianne!

9:00 pm

cr 7/32 please

9:00 pm

how about en8?

9:01 pm

and es 7/32 too...

9:02 pm

cr7/32 - one is the plural of the cr5/12 for the other just change the last letter to the next letter in the alph.

re 5/14 & re 6/24 the first 2? please :)

9:04 pm

en8 - it means "bewitch". en + 4 letter word for ache (used a lot in this grid) drop the last vowel and add first 3 letter of a mobile phone.

9:05 pm

thank you so much! never heard of that word. :)

9:06 pm

Good one Diane!

9:08 pm

re1 & 24 - think of another word for "family room" for the first 3 letters -then double the last letter and add a vowel. Make it plural for the 6/24

9:08 pm

thanks for the clue dianne.

9:10 pm

whoooooooooo done!

9:10 pm

anyone for er9? Thank you!

9:12 pm

er9 - think about standing as straight as you can. Starts of like the metal building set and ends like the lake monster.

9:12 pm

er9 builds on er5/12

9:12 pm

9:25 pm

Jeffer - For the en8 clue - I could just let this go, but it is really bugging me! The first three letters of a mobile phone? Does that mean the name of a mobile phone?

9:25 pm

So6/18 - think of the person who bleeps you on T.V. but start the word with So.

9:26 pm

what's the max score possible on this puzzle?

Jeffer! Thanks~

The Bluebird toffee factory is just down the lanes from where I live. Unfortunately, the the Bluebiird logo is still there now, it's home to a firm that make garden furniture.
