199? Oh dear (again). I keep making that newbie mistake and start typing as soon as the grid's up!
Hi Everyone
a, c, and h 6... hi nan!
stid, I am a newbie, but that is the only way I get a jump start, I would never get close to finishing otherwise
that's sort of my strategy -- I start now, then sleep, then finish up in chunks throughout the day. But 200 +/- words is an awful lot any day!
I heaar that, I don't know if you saw, I still had 84 words on the last puzzle, but from when I got on I had only found 65 or so, so it's good for me to do it that way, I just now learned about lickety's page
l 7/36...

on the weekend it's much easier to do the bigger ones. yes, i think willpower (and sleep) will prevail here. g'night all.

anyone here?
yes Hi Dianne
Dianne - I've been here but maintaining 'radio silence'. I'm afraid I have to go now, though. It's a grid full of well used Babble words, isn't it?
Hi everyone.
Hi rosalind :)
Just got here, morning Dianne :)
I was also playing submarine..........
It seems to have worked. We've bored them away.
Hi trish - good to see all of you here.
& hi Haz, Rosalind & everyone
and me lot of rubbish going on in the chat
seems as though they took their toys and went home :)
Morming Its not a very nice day here in Hastings windy and wet.
Sorry I have to go but will be back later.
Good to see you Rosalind, trish, Haz, Dianne. I was beginning to think I had landed on another planet
We've had a real spring day here in Hong Kong. Sunny and warm - but not to last for the weekend :(
Have a good morning, Haz, bye for now!
ExWren, hi
Wren - I was beginning to think the aliens took you away in their spaceship.
Bye Haz
I have been here since 8.30 My husband has gone to golf
Sounds like horrible golfing weather, Rosalind, he must be an addict ;)
Yes he is . This is a charity match. gone for the whole day.
I was very frightened Diane
Wren - I hope nothing too kinky happened !
Chance would be a fine thing
Rosalind... well, good for him :) Must say, I'm glad I'm addicted to indoor gaming ;)
Anyway Dianne, I didn't understand the language!
Wren - somethimes it's best not to understand :)
Me to. I dont like the wind. We live near the sea and its gets very windy
They all suddenly appeared in the log very weird
Morning all babblers......just had a fabulous hangover breakfast...the works,sausages,bacon,2eggs,2to ast, mushrooms, tomato, beans, dad dies sauce and a whole bottle of chocolate milk shake...so gunna ten words and go back to bed!! Decadence or what!!
Awwww almost got more tomato in the grid!!
lol, morning tbear, what was the occassion?
Hi trishtrash.....unexpected good mood..
thats some breakfast Tbear did you enjoy it.
actually GREAT mood
was wonderful...but didn't manage to the beans..the cats'll be so pleased when we go back to bed
:) that's great to hear, tbear, random good moods are a gift
they sure are trish.....and I'm very glad to share the mood but I won't inflict the handover on anyone....lol
mornin' all? How goes it today?
Morning fine thanks
morning amandacath! 199, in case you needed to know.
ps make that a hangover not a handover....told you I was suffering but still smiling..
what's going on, trying to put aw6 and it's telling me I've already put it......and i definately haven't!!?
refresh
thx rosalind...... :)) sheepish grin
lol tbear, today's grid will be heaps o' fun for you in this state ;)
*waves carefully* think I'm suffering from the same as Tbear this morning!
*whispers* morning, Atalante! Did you have a recovery-breakfast too?
must admit the only thing keeping me down here is Jane Siberry dueting with k.d.lang,Calling All Angels.....once it's finished..I'm outta 'ere......Calling All Soft Feather Pillows....lol
chocolate cake and lots of tea! not sure that's the best recovery breakfast in the world, but it got me out of bed!
Atalante.......CHEERS.....I can recommend a full english!!
I'm starting to wish I had a hangover, too. You guys get all the good stuff! *pokes cold remains of oatmeal sulkily*
So Ata.....what were you on?? Mine was the usual double gin and tonics.....won't count!!
awwww *hands over some chocolate cake*
Ooh, yum! By way of thanks I'll put on a pot of tea, shall I? ;)
too much red wine! husband had friend over for the evening - they work together and talked constantly about computing and mathematics and stuff, so I just sat there and nodded occasionally and drunk red wine!
please, i haven't dressed for the day, i haven't been able to sleep all night... but i want to ask... a friend of mine, i am very worried about, anyone who prays would you pray for this person?
of course!
Hurshy, I'm don't pray, but I'm glad to throw some good thoughts out into the 'verse
hello everyone....just in and out at the moment....making the last of the bridesmaids dresses and need a break now and again. Hurshy....is it health or welfare ?
yes, hurshy
thank you, ata. i am so uneasy and i cannot even pin it down.
it is not physical health... it is... i don't know... emotional health?
(((((((Hurshy)))))) of course of course.....Wanna talk about it
thank you all.
which is much harder to pin down and help with
welfare then ....consider it done....I know it helps
i wish i could talk about it... but i really cannot identify for myself what is making me so uneasy
can I just put in that I just found an ma8 all by myself !!
Oh...Hurshy wish I could give you a HUGE bear hug right now. Relax honey..
Hurshy, intuition can pick up on subtle things and drive you mad with half-knowing something. :::hugs::: ... at least you are on the alert, it can't hurt to keep an eye on the 'situation'
woot Karys!
I would always rely on true intuition - its proved to me over and over again to say the right things ...
thank you tbear. i have been trying to relax all night, i think things out logically and in my head i think it will probably be alright but still something feels not right, and it will not let me sleep.
think we need a little prayer for you too hurshy x
found the ma5 another word for what I am blessed with.....ma*** depression...more modern term Bi-polar (bear) disorder...Lol
yes, thank you karys, my tummy feels rather upset
yeah - I just found that too tbear! nice reminder to take all my tablets :P
Hurshy....how are the meds going??
oooo hurshy ..I hate that feeling
ohhh... tbear... i have not taken for 4 days i think...
Hey Ata.....in my hurry to eat as much as possible forgot mine to.....under-active thyroid to boot!
you can yell at me now...
Hursh....no yelling but maybe, mightbe good idea to get back on board Honey?!?!
I hate taking my tablets each morning. blech. one of them makes me feel really sick so its an ongoing battle to persuade myself to take them!
Good morning everyone. How is this one?
is it a problem that i skipped so many though, for starting again?
Sounds like you should start taking them again Hurshy
what are they, hurshy?
morning, Eva
zoloft
Hurshy...if Atalante and I can manage to take ours this morning....with hangovers...you can take yours with what I always call a sleepover (when I have't slept and feel groggy)
morning trish
just now i am so upset and i am supposed to have class at 8 and i wonder how i will teach this, should i plead stomach upset and bail out?
If tghey are what we discussed some time ago...anti 'Ds' then no prob just starting again
just take 'em. there's always more problems with forgetting to take those things than starting again
i feel so totally and utterly messed up right now.
think of your students - will you be able to teach them anything useful? If so, go. If not, cry off
Yeah......no today Hurshy...cuch up somewhere comfy maybe with a magazine or book (OR babble) switch your brain off and be kind to yourself...it's hard but not impossible
will i be able to teach anything useful... i guess maybe... i cannot even tell
have the time off then, hurshy. curl up with some hot chocolate or something
hurshy when I'm not having good thoughts I get cosy in my bed...with a good book and lose myself in someone elses life or story, try not to think...especially as you haven't slept xx
if it weren't for you guys i don't know what i would do. it is so lonely to be awake at 5:30 and no one else up and feeling so icky
hurshy....where are your tiddly poms (cats...to the uninitiated)
oh, they are up in my bedroom. they always sleep in there with us.
5:30 is an awful time. you can't phone people, go to see people, find anything but news or general rubbish on TV ... yay for babble! and sudoku might soothe you for a few minutes - otherwise, warm blankets, hot chocolate and a good book!
i know i should go take the zoloft now, and maybe some pepto... but all i can do is sit here and rock gently in my chair...
Absolutely Atalante....infact might just have to do that too....very soon...starting to feel jaded and have promised to help a friend out this afternoon AND have to go out this evening...AAAArrrrggggghhhhh.
well do that for a bit. if you haven't taken tabs for a few days, a fw more hours isn't going to make any difference whatsoever :)
life too hard, i sorry tbear
Hurshy....what you sorry for...I deserve to feel grotty,I brought it on myself. Listen, sweetheart just do whatever you need to do to feel better....I still feel a cuddle with a cat is usually quite soothing..
yes, cat, maybe... don't know if i can feel better...
Hurshy, do you find warm water comforting? It helps me with nausea/depression/tiredness... perhaps you could treat yourself to an early morning shower/bath, with lots of nice pampery things in it.
oh, nice thought trish but don't want to wake poor tired hubby by running water
I've just recently come out of a big bad low.....and however bad it gets I always remind myself that it gets better....even if you think it won't..it will and does
high lucraft have managed 150
warm blankets then? comforter? snuggly warmth is always comforting
fleece blanket, got it.
i hate time. it goes too slow.
Gotta go for now folks (with tons of words left to find, too) Have a good day, everyone, & hang in there Hurshy.
ty and bye bye trish
Woo! My first 8 with no help!!! di 8/50 -> looks like a jewel
can you just phone them? I know its early, but some things are more important than time
bye Trish. Going myself now good luck Hurshy and enerybody see you later bye
cannot phone, would make angry. friend wants sleep. but is very disappointed in self, feels beyond help.
ouch. that's so hard.
nothing i say seems to help.
Good (?) Morning, All! I have had a very rough night with SEbastian -- the boy refuses to go back to sleep sometimes! I have been up since 4 trying to coax my son back to sleep to no avail -- so what is my first thought? ---- logon to Babble and chat!
Hurshy,Atalante....I'm off guys.....Huge Bear Hug for you Hurshy.....thinking of you.
Welcome one, and welcome all!!!!
right idea GW
thank you and bye tbear
hurshy, this is a hard truth - but it probably won't. If you're feeling that down, you could probably tell them anything and it wouldn't have an effect. all you can sometimes do is keep an eye on them, and just *be* there
*hugs tbear*
Hiya GreyWoulf...so that cub giving you trouble....hug for him too...hi and bye
((**tbear**)) - hi/bye
but ata, this is how this person ALWAYS is, never does anything seem to get through and help. so frustrating!
I know ... its frustrating as hell! And it makes you want to kick them into understanding ...
((*hurshy*)) -- having just read back through the log, I can offer two bits of advice -- 1) Take your meds and stay home from work -- have a "me" day; 2) Don't overstress about your friend -- the best we can do is remind people that we are there for them, the rest is up to them, no matter how frustrating and helpless that makes us feel. I've been there myself :\
yes, i know you are both right. but SO hard.
That's why friends were invented -- to both complicate our lives and make things easier all at the same time :)
I know and utterly sympathise. its an awful situation :(
Welcome one, and welcome all!!!!
movieman, so sorry we did not say hi, such a lovely welcome too!
Let's take it one step at a time, hurshy -- focus on what you do have control over --- Have you taken your meds yet, since talking about them? If not, then please do so. Just that simple act can mean so much right now :)
hi lesta38, on 809 now. movieman, cool flag.
i suppose... i don't know why i am so reluctant...
movieman -- Hail and well met!! Sorry to ignore you like that. (*Manly Bearhug of Greeting*)
Thanx hursh & Woulfy.....
hurshy -- that's easy to explain -- frustration makes us want to 'turtle up' and just lat the world pass us by. That's why doing it is so important -- it is a known postive step and so simple to achieve :)
ok GW i will go do it
Thank you :)
So, movieman -- how are things in your area of the world? We have been having some absolutely gorgeous weather the past couple of days here :)
am back, and with cat.
Excellent, hurshy -- which one?
this one, marty.
aw cat! cats are sooooo comforting!
Woulfy - not too bad, actually..... Just a matter of time until Chelsea F.C. retain their Premiership title, (that's the captain and centre-back John Terry I've got as my icon by the way), and then it's the World Cup to look forward to......
my 3 are all around the living room staring at me -- they know I shouldn't be up, but they want me to feed them anyway :D
my mitten always wants food, you would think she was starving instead of battling to keep from gaining weight
mine is sitting in her basket by my laptop and purring in her sleep
My cat Arnie is upstairs sunning himself at the mo, but it's only a matter of time before his belly calls......LOL
this puzzle has the basic 3 word latin conjugation that my mom told me was the first thing she learned when she took it
movieman -- I have to admit that I am not a big sports fan on any level. But I wish you luck in having your team triumph. The only John Terry I know of is the actor who portrayed Hawk the Slayer ;D
I haven't even looked at the grid yet. Just came to spend time with my friends :)
i HAVE to look for words to distract myself. i have found 116. let me not to the marriage of true minds admit impediment...
My cat Meeper is now doing the expectant gaze and coo that indicates she wants my lap, but she is too lazy to jump up when invited, and if I reach down to grab her, she runs away!
That's TOO weird, hursh.... You've found 116, and I still need 116.....
cats can be so funny like that. marty, now, he never does that. even if he "runs away" from you he runs about 2 feet and then stands there and lets you catch him
alright, alright -- I jump into the pool as well ---LITTLE TREES!!!!
(Bonsai!!!!) for those who may be confused ;D
then i guess maybe we can have a marriage of true minds, movieman
i thought bonsai but thought you were excited at finding a word and then i was worried that i did not see bonsai
argh should be a word... I say it enough here, LOL Morning, all!
Anyone found the 8's & 9's yet, and if so, could they clue me up plz......
LOL - just me being tired and silly -- though even when not tired I tend to be silly :D
Hi Jera! -- imagine seeing you here! (*Hug*)
what a lot of A's today. i have 24 and that is only 4/7 of them! and movieman, one is at9.
I thought the same thing, {{{GW}}}
Hiya, Jera......
also it was said that there was an ma8, but i have not got it, and then di8, sort of like a gem
I have at6/18ed the at9!
We've been moaning about no A's most of the week... they were all waiting for Friday!
Hey movieman, how are you today? Tell me about your icon?
movieman-only have one of each: at9/66 (common word) ma8/45 (same ending)
Jera - It's a representation of John Terry, the captain and full-back of Chelsea Football Club, the team I have supported for over 20 years....... I guess he's not very well known over the pond.....
I thought he looked sporty... I'm in a soccer-y frame of mind what with the first Brazillian astronaut taking a jersey into space and all...
i cannot see this ma8 even knowing ending
My son is drawing zoo animals... he's got Madagascar on the brain... not a bad zebra, I must say!
one hour to go until night is over...
ma8 -- to keep up or carry on
sorry movieman-completely misled you! The endings for the two are NOT the same. The ma8 means to keep something going, to sustain something, to ma______one's innocence.
eva - was wanting that word over and over but could not see how it could be made!
Jera -- Aaaawww!! Hi Eva! (*Hug*)
Hello folks. Here's a few pointers: at9/66 - achieving (builds from at6/18) in9/60 - not moving/active. ma8/45 - to keep in existence or in good, or proper, condition.
Hi Jacula
((**Jac**))
Eva - what's happened to your icon......? I can only see part of it.....
i feel so icky i don't even feel excited that i have both 8's and both 9's now.
BRB - have a text to reply to.
hurshy - you will feel better soon... and great job!!
Don't know movieman-looks fine here. Is anyone else having the same problem of my fading away?
Thanx for all the cluez everyone......
I see a gorgeous kitty, Eva
Thanks for the in9 Jacula!
Looks fine to me, Eva
Thanks gw! Merp is his name. And he feels that all such compliments are his absolute due. He gets told that he is gorgeous at least 100 times a day.
Are all these cats left over from yesterday or are cats the people we most admire?
how many 9s are there this evening?
guess you need to refresh movieman
Oh wow, Eva, that's your own real cat? What a beauty! I love jellicos!
Jera - I just haven't got around to changing my icon.
schwer, heres the basic breakdown: 199 total words 4-letter words: 82 5-letter words: 53 6-letter words: 44 7-letter words: 16 8-letter words: 2 9-letter words: 2
I'll say it again from yesterday, Merp really is gorgeous!! How did you come up with the name Merp?
what IS theme today anyway?
Mine is our cat Merp-yesterday Atalante helped me to make an icon of him, something I had been trying to do for months, so now that I have him I'm reluctant to let him go. So today is the person we admire the most?
I would like to know what I am doin gup at 4:30 when my daughter has gone back to sleep. Someetimes life is not fair.
beats me, hurshy -- I always forget to check ;D
theme is person you admire most--mine's my mom
Thanks, Grey Woulf!
dino -- same thing I am doing since my son wouldn't go back to sleep after his 4 am feeding
Babbling, of course, dinoshadow! What else?
We spent weeks thinking about different names and then realized that the whole time he had been walking around the house going "mrrp, mrrp, mrrp" so there is was. He alaso answers to Merpling, Mr.Merps, or the sound of deli paper being unwrapped. Is jellico cat what we here call a tuxedo cat?
my pleasure, schwer :)
just make sure you remember that url, Eva, then Merp can always reappear whenever you want him to :)
Very cool, Unea!
OMG that's too cute! Mrrp!
atalante-i immediately typed it into a document file so I would never lose it!
I have some really cute pictures of my cats that I lost when my computer crashed... the originals are still packed up somewhere...
who do i admire most? maybe my sister, but i haven't a picture of her in electronic form...
Okay, changed my icon. It's my late Dad.
Eva -- that's sorta how my cat Twitch got her name -- when she's happy or excited she bobs her tail, and because she has a 3 inch band of white only an inch from the tip of her otherwise black tail -- she always looks like she is twitching her flag :)
Eva - I've tried refreshing, but I can still see the top part of your icon..... Dunno what's going on......
brb... my son is runing around al fresco singing, "Oh yes, oh yes, it's Springtime" maybe he'll chill if I help him find some pants...
I've just changed mine to a person most people will never have heard of unless they are Kiwis or into sailing. Peter Blake. I admire him with some sort of slave-ish utter admiration
movieman -- could it be that your monitor is washing out the color from the bottom of the image since it is mostly white?
The people I most admire are my entire family, but, like hursh, I haven't got any pics of them on my PC, so John Terry is the next best thing.....
Good Morning, just here for a few minutes. hints for the i9 pretty please
Woulfy - that could be the problem, but I can't be bothered to find out.....
morning.
Afternoon, Peri. See my post of 5:26am for hints.
peri - in9=still or not moving.....
found an i7 is the i9 related?
As long as you are happy, movieman -- that's the important part :D
Exactly, woulfy, it's not the end of the world.......
in9 is actually related to the an7, peri
HI, GW, don't have the an7 yet
got it--thanks, GW!
how nice to see a grid under 200 words!
morning all
the in9 is used to described things that don't move -- ex. -- a rock is an in9 object drop the in to get the an7
does anyone have am 6/24?
morning angelsong.
morning, angel :)
clue for the an7 then
Greetings, Angel.....
peri - an7=to produce a film in cartoon form.....
Atalante-emergency!! I just checked and can't for the life of me find where I saved merp's url! I feel so stupid. Must have saved it into some random folder. And I can't get into that part of yesterday's log. Do you by any chance still have the address? I promise that this time I'll save it correctly.
awag should be a word. as in "my dog's tail is all awag"
am6 is an explosive mixture
no, i need the 6/24
movieman, thanks so much, found the an7 and in9, now can go to work, see everyone later
ah, figured it out.
yw, peri..... See you later....
the lipstick tree is back. what a struggle I had to remember that word at first...
So long, peri ((**Hug**)) -- see you later :) And now, I am sorry to say I have to leave all you wonderful people now -- I still have 150 to locate, but I must now prepare for work and mundane life as well.
See ya then, woulfy....
'Bye Wolfie & Peri. See you later. )))HUGS(((
hursh -- if you want to drop me a line don't forget my address is in my bio ;) same goes for all my babble buddies as well
later, GW!
thank you GW
Anyone care to assist me with the e's..... I can't for the life of me see any of them.....
got all those dang A's
movieman - the classic, volcano...
and another classic the needle thingy i don't have the 6
does anyone have the second none Ma 8?
oh, now i do, et6 like vi*****s and minerals
thanks, hurshy!
Thanx, hursh.....
the missing "L"? le 4/4 le 7/36 le 5/10 lo 4/4 lo 5/10 lo 5/10
le 6/24 at end of le's
I have to ask, movieman, before zooming off, what is so admirable about John Terry? I don't know enough about him to know!
thanks!
anyone got dw7?
I'm back for a few minutes... I have a feeling my daughter won't be going to school today, or at least be late... just adds to the fun challenge of payday errandds to run!
d + w6/36
ty, what an odd word
These dw's remind me of a knock-knock joke...
Oh no... I missed GW's departure...
morning all. theme today?
person you most admire (theme)
in7?
in + g5/14
ty une
thx cliff. don't know how much i'll be on today (awaits applause). took the day off and may catch up on my WoW time. Gotta level TSM's sis Amerine's alliance hunter so I can kill her w/my horde shadow priest!
what game is that capone? not that i'd know it - just like to act like i know something when my gamer son is chatting.
World od Warcraft, massive multiplayer online role playing game
er World OF Warcraft
i've heard my son, my "bonus" son (step) and my nephew talking about Warcraft.
its pretty much run its course with me, but it allows TSM and I to "spend time" together when we can't see each other in person.
i may have to break down and learn a game like that. my son is going off to air force officer training school in alabama in 2 weeks. won't see him in person until july. he is a big gamer since college.
I'm back. I keep 'seeing' tomato in the grid.
...and Camelot, and cameo.
That phantom tomato is bugging me, too
Glad it's not just me, Jera.:-)
'Phantom Tomato' sounds like it could be a follow-up film to 'Attack of The Killer Tomatoes'. LOL.
changed my icon
Hi, Angel. Who is it?
Revenge of the Tomatoes... The Tomato Empire Strikes Back...
une, clue for that le6 i told you about?
Hello Babblers.... Theme today?
Helen Keller.
lol, wang isn't allowed....
praes - theme is person you most admire
Hi everyone, is there a clue for the ta6/36? It's really stumping me. Thanks
ta 6 rhymes with ha6
Thanks, I'll start looking for the ha6.
ha6 hemming and ha6
Hurshy, LOL, awesome clue, thanks
le6 or sa 6/24, anyone?
That -ing is getting a workout today! Makes the longer words much easier...
hi hurshy -- I found one sa6 by monkey typing but not sure of a def. Add a consonant to the sa5 that's a city in TX. I haven't printed out the list, so not sure if there are more of them than this one.
*wishes she knew more towns in Texas*
Oops, just noticed that sa6 is only a 6/18, so must not be the one you're looking for.
that's an 18, right? i need the 24.
Hey, I have that!! sa 6/24 = not crazy + common 3 letter suffix...
I just found it, too, Jera ! Thnx.
ah, thanks. now i just need that le6 and the wa6/7 combo
Crazy words today...
Good Morning all
{{{faeriekae}}}
{{{Jera}}} *sprinkle*sprinkle*sprinkle H i!!
Hello faerie - I've just got back from picking my daughter up from college. How are you today?
Thanks, I'm only halfway... can use all the dust I can get!
hi faerie
I'm great. How long will your daughter be home Haz?
Hi Cliff :)
wa6 fading, diminishing
Louise is now home for 3 weeks for Easter. Her younger sister, Fiona, has already been home from Edinburgh since last week, so now I will have the whole family together for a fortnight.
Sprinkle dust & make "argh" a word...
Thats' so nice Haz. You must be happy to have them home.
How wonderful, Haz!!
Yes, I am. The only problem will be getting time on the computer to get my babbling done!
I'm back yet again. My Mum came round to get me to p/copy some knitting patterns for her.
Hurshy, do you still need the sa6/24? I just found it
FAERIE!!! Check out my avatar!
there, i admire mi madre the most. She raised 5 kids on her own.
I'm back everyone!!!! Lost the connection there for a while.....
Hello all :) Would really welcome clue for the ha 6/33
Chessy, I'm just starting on the H's. I'll see if I can find it.
ha6/33 - clay cylinders or figurines once used in Japanese burials.
Thanx Jacula :)
Thanks, Jacula. 2 H's to go
Capone - I don't think so.
sup?
I just found out that if you click on the little ? mark beside the word you enter it tells you what the word means....duh.
Everyone here probably already knew that didn't they? Now I really feel stupid.
Don't feel stupid at all.
Let me guess: ha4/10 - One who has made a pilgrimage to Mecca. ha6/21 - Scottish word for 'a fair amount, a lot'.
Haz who is your icon? Very handsome.
That is a very cool function, faeriekae...
faeriekae, I kept seeing the ? and wondered what it was for. LOL, curiosity finally won
Yes I love it. Why didn't I already know that. Hit it by accident.
He's Martin O'Neill - an Ulsterman who was a successful soccer player and manager and who has taken time out from his career to nurse his wife who is suffering from cancer. I admire his integrity.
Papp-never occured to me...lol
Wow Haz that is a good man....
faeriekae, who is your person? The frame makes it very very small...
He's also intelligent and articulate - quite rare amongst soccer players!
These words come in handy when you play Literati. My friend asked me once... what word is that? What does it mean? I told her... I don't know what it means, I found it on babble.
Good morning. taking a little breakfast babble time before I hit the ground running.
Hey... all the soccer players I know are intelligent & articulate... the most of any ball players in my experience!
Good morning, musicmom - lots of favourite babble words in the grid today. No greek cheese, though.
hi musicmom
Jera - maybe I should have said professional soccer players. Some of the post-match interviews are painful to hear.
Good morning, musicmom, Last day of spring break for me, next week, it's back to my kinders.
clues for the first a6?
Greetings, {{{musicmom}}}
I'm a geek - I've been typing clues on my stickie pad so I don't have to ask later. :) I saw our volcano and needle thing right off.
is that the lipstick tree, Angelsong?
(((Jera)))) I emailed you a bunch of pictures.
Oooh! *goes to check mail*
Pappou - do you teach Kindergarten? I have a 5 year old and work with infants up through age 7
The first a6 is ac6/21. It relates to the small sacs or sections that make up a compound object like a blackberry.
thew a6 I need is an ac6, not an6, I have the lipstick tree.
ac 6 - 21 - first three letters as ac4 above it, then add first three letters of someone who tells a story in a play - the ***rator.
brb - spilled a whole cup of tea.
ac6 is ac + anagram of ra4/4 (either the wet one or the Indian princess).
I have no ac's, sorry...
I hate it when that happens.
Musicmom, those are great!! I love the look on the other kids' faces when the girl is opening the Howler...
mornin babblers!! no time to play today, im afraid -- super-duper swamped at work today, dang end of the month! but i wanted to post my pic for todays theme. :)
MusicMom - I did that the other night all over the top of the guinea pig hutch. Pity, 'cos I was really enjoying that tea! Just as well I don't take sugar.
Hi, Evanadine.
Oooh, now I have 3 ac's... thanks!
looks like mom's are the most admired.
Yes, I teach kinders. This is my 26th year.
This is NOT my morning - you would think it was Monday instead of Friday. First we were completely out of coffee (very rare in this house). Then that was one of my last Asbury tea bags in a very yummy flavor. Okay trying again:-))
It was hilarious Jera. Her mom was my co-leader last year and was working the event. We actually just micced her instead of recording it. She got yelled at about taking care of her braces (something that had just happened that week):-)
Pappou - that is terrific!
Who is your hero, musicmom... your icon pic I mean...
Well, I'm heading out the door, will have to finish the last 93 words later. Thanks for the clues everyone, see you later.
jera - all pioneer women are my heros. When I stop and think about how hard it is to get things done with all our modern conveniences and then think about how they had to do things their perseverance is amazing!
bye pappou
i guess it would be a good idea to go to work. bye for now.
I thought it looked pioneer-y. We recently rented Frontier House on DVD... fascinating stuff.
bye cliff
Have a good one, cliff... you later!
Jacula, I'm planning on getting a guinea pig soon... any advice?
That was interesting Jera. I would like to think I wouldn't be so whiney but I can't be too sure.
Jera - Yes, lots of advice. Might be better if I e-mailed it to you, depending on what your questions are. Contact me through the BabAnon messaging thing in the first instance.
Jera - let me know.
Okay, 59 words left to find but I finally have an empty house. I can vacuum unhindered! (Why is it that when you are doing the stairs someone ALWAYS wants to use them??)
Bye Jera - that happens here too.
Hey all :)
OOps meant Jac Hi Tiger
Did I say 'empty' house? One of the cats in on the sofa (and NOT on his designated blanket!) and the other is... you guessed it... sitting on the stairs! They'll soon shift when they hear the vacuum.:-) TTFN.
Faerie - are you still here? How was the butterfly walk?
Sorry, jacula... had another potty emergency... I will e-mail you. We had a guinea pig as a child & I was thinking it's about time for another one. We do have cats so the cage would need to be quite secure... can you recommend a brand for setup?
how many words are there?
199 words
Back, had to run to the post office and grocery store. Faerie!! Look at my icon!
Gotta go. Be back later - I hope.
We have bad timing today... people have to leave then come back to talk & the people they were talking with before have had to leave, LOL
i can tell..lol
wow...a 51 point word
lol, if dan qualye was doing todays puzzle, wonder how man times he'd enter "TAMATO"
thedave, Try a gerund: getting something at 9/66
what's a gerund?
hanta (virus) got nixed....
no jawa either?! discrimination!
what's jawa?
star wars char...the lil guys in the brown robes
oh - yeah - I thought you meant a *proper* word :P
It's a verb that acts as a noun--looks the same as the present participle. It's a verb with a three-letter "suffix" that emphasizes the action
You can google it...
Thanks...I can't find a 6 letter word to add the suffix to
letucing isn't a word...dang!
Hehe
its "at6/18" to get, to achieve, to obtain
got it...thanks!
:)
puzzle isn't very piratical or xmasy today
hi all come on to do a bit of my homework got to find an unusual word and it's meaning and I know Babble all ways has them. :OD
Hi wessie, you could try ywis which means - Certainly; assuredly and can also be spelt iwis, it's one of my fav babble words. Hows yr Mum?

y/w

Hi Everyone, any hints for the 9's please?
Hi Ginger, Only got the at9 and there are good cluse for that just down the log. Haven't found the other one yet.
Thanks FMitch...
Ginger an 9/60 - not able to move on its own
oops, that should be in 9
in9/60 in + am7/32
hi again didn't have too do anything else.
at9/66 - achieving (builds from at6/18) in9/60 - not moving/active.
Does anyone know what the other 9 is?
Duh! I just missed that last message!
Jacula just gave clues for both the 9s
di8/50 - rhinstone or sequinned fabric. ma8/45 - to keep in existence or in a good, or proper, condition.
*rhinestone.
Hi & 'bye all. Got to go. I'm not really 'here'. Just came in to check the answering m/c.
good clue for the d8 Jacs, I didn't have that one. thanks
I have the 8s and 9s, but I only have 5 of the 7s
LOL that's one more than I have :)
I have an an jo dw le & ra
There are 5 7 letter words in the As alone....
(sigh) <pulls up breaches in a decidedly catoonish way...>
Afternoon Haz.
LOL Llysse, I know that feeling, hey ho.
Hello, FMitch - I've had a very interrupted day's babbling so far. How are you doing?
I have monkey typed my fingers crazy for the di 8. I'm pretty sure of the first 4 letters, but can't get the last 4.
Been out at client meeting most of the day, so feeling knackered, Managed to get some words down this morning but have only just got to 100.
Try putting an4/4 after. (meaning before)
the last 4 letters are what you put in when playing poker
So, you're halfway there!
thanks, mac, that word was in the back of my mind, but I was just having a brain lapse
Doh!! I guess I am ... feel a bit better now :)
You're welcome, munner :)
You, too, Haz. I'm back and forth on IM with my sister in Arizona so had missed your earlier hint.
Hi guys : )
Hi lola :)
Hello stranger ((((lola))))
You're welcome, munner. Lola - we've missed you!
Hey sis! (((((FMitch))))) How you doing?
Hi mac! Aww, thanks haz! I missed you guys too :' )
Friday afternoon, starting the unwind - what you been up to?
woah! totally making up for the lack of "A"s the past few days, huh?
I was visiting my fella ; ) What news on your job situation sis? Hope you don't mind me asking but I do worry : /
Hi, Lola, and bye all for now. My sister and cousin are flying in from Arizona and Colorado for a week's visit tomorrow. So far I only have one room "ready" and my husband keeps asking me as I sit at the computer, "Is that all you ever do?" (He's off work every Friday)
Good morning.
lol! bye munner, have a great time with your family : )
Hi again bunny! Nice, gentle sudoku today, hey? : )
(((sis))) thanks, just got another new client today which will be a good earner but still sailing too close to the wind for comfort but thanks for asking. ...and how is yr fella:))
morning bun, lola and anyone else i missed earlier
Yeees, thank goodness, but it doesn't look like babble will be so kind!
sis, will carry on sending you lots of positive thoughts then : ) He's not feeling too good today actually. Don't know if we'll see him on babble : /
Thanks and say hi to Anj from me. Gotta go soon but good to catch up.
hey all :) so whats the icon theme today?
Will do, take care : )
hey toes! : )
what? no santa?
person you admire
i was told the person you admire most so i picked my mama
praes, afraid not : / ....but change the last vowel for another word : )
((( lola ))) it has been a long time! Where have you been? :)
Aw Praes! that is very sweet ;)
thanks! had it already but it might help someone. just can't believe santa wasn't invited to the party.
TSM- she raised 5 kids on her own, no support from any of her baby daddies. I gotta ger her props somehow.
It helped me!! ;)
((((toes)))) I was visiting Anj : ) How's your bump? Have you had a scan yet?
morning/afternoon/evening, all! FMitch, did I miss you yesterday, or were you not here?
Hi stid, I wasn't able to babble due to work, can you believe!!!!!

hey ata! Guess who found an SA shop in Bristol last week?? I spent a fortune, lol! : D

Time for me to do my disappearing act, may see you all later. *poof*
Wow I am having issues finding a new picture for my icon lol

Ouw - WOOOO HOOOO! Congrats sugar!
Ouw, the am 6&7 combo?
i still dont know what the last word i got means...the ha6/33
lola - hard to think about.... I try not to since I have to be at work all day. i really dont want to break down in front of patients... :(
good thing for monkey typing
ha 6/33 is a clay cylinder used in Japanese burials
toes, sorry hun, didn't mean to upset you! Chin up chicks, have these (((xx))) : )
eh, She'll be fine lola, shes a tough cookie.
really? An SA shop? Wow! I might have to head to Bristol! And I made another lemon meringue pie yesterday!
ty...by the time I got it, I almost needed one
For the am 6 and 7 - if you have the vegetable resembling an5 and 6, put m in after the a.
YAY Ouwachita!
aw thanks lola :) Yeah I am a tough cookie ;)
Thanks Haz, didn't we do all those a few days ago?
and TSM, you'll be fine.
ata, there's one on the west sussex coast somewhere too, will try to remember where (went there when I lived in sussex). I bought the silliest things, was like the proverbial kid in a candy store. Anj just stood and laughed at me, lol! : D
there's one in London too, but its crap :(
Yes, bunny - there were a lot of them.
My first of amny stupid questions for the day...what is an SA shop?
Shops selling South African stuff!
bunny, sorry, me being a bit rude : / I'm from South Africa and there are shops in the UK that sell SA products for the homesick (like me!) : )
...and typos...
OK, never would have made that connection, heard something about a lemon pie and got lost. Thought it was a pastry shop or something...
Howdy everyone!
bunny, lemon meringue pie has the same effect on me... ; )
Good Morning/Afternoon! Happy Friday!

Hi Deutsch et al -- I have been here 35 minutes and only added 2 words to last night's start. So I'm off to get dressed and print out the clues.
Yuck Cait. Twylah still has it, just not as bad, but bad enough not to leave the house.
Nah - I'm sure your morning sickness will go away soon.

Hi Eastern! Hi scatty, seems a little tricky and I only have 9!
*spots EB and gives her a big squeezy hug* {{{{EB}}}}
So I am on the bus taking my son to his band concert - all of a sudden there is a huge traffic jam. I see a police car in the alley with no police, the door is ajar. I see huge crowds of people. What the heck happened?? As we are squeezing by traffic/people I look out the window and who do I see - Vince Vaughn and Jennifer Anniston filming re-takes for their upcoming movie!!!
We have A's? I've allmost forgotten what A's are. LOL
hi EB

argh! this connection at work is so slow. it takes 1/2 a minute to see if a word is accepted! i'll never get anywhere like this.
I felt like a fool for not bringing my camera!!
Lupe, how neat! Bet your son loved that!
bunny - he kept teasing me because I didn't bring the camera - "that's what you get!"
Lupe - too cool!!! I've never seen anything fun like that!! : ) Deutsch...how've you been??

You know, I have never watched Monty Python? I should as much as everyone talks about it.
yes, because there's a great scene about a vicious white bunny - i really thought that's what your name meant, lol. i'm bethany ;)
Don't feel bad - neither have I bunny!!
I'm super close to finishing believe it or not, but I'm stuck on a few: di 8/50 wa 6 & 7 I think I can monkey in the rest...
Goodness. I've had no time to play for the past several days. How are things?
Monty Python is great bunny if you have an odd sense of humour!! My so watched The Life of Brian on his wedding morning (first wedding !!!!!!!!)
Monty Python wasn't something a program that a typical Latino child would be exposed to!! LOL
bunny, for the di8 think sparkly jewelry : )
ugh, I feel like death right now
SON
My kiddos gave the nickname to me. They say I look really nice, but I'm pretty mean. My oldest daughter has been grounded half of the last three years, she is venting.
May I call you bruce?
lol that's awesome. i can't wait 'till my little guy grows up so he can be angry with me all the time
but my name is Michael! : /
Mine is Atilla the hun!!
Bruce it is then
LOL - I hear ya bunny. I usually get the "MAN you're mean!" at least once a day from my son!
Rule number 6, there is NOOOO...rule number 6... : )
I'm pretty sure my oldest girl is starting puberty, she's ten!! It can only get worse. I tried to talk to her about getting a bra when I noticed a little change, I've been blocked out, going on four days now...
great, i think i'm having a panic attack....and i've been in such a great mood today.
oh boy -- good luck with that bunny..
And now for something completely different good luck Bunny
Hi All - just popping in for a quick look while chaos reigns all around me! Lola -lovely to see you thought we'd lost you sudoko!
hi snowy!
I didn't think it'd start so early, I'm very lost! Gonna have to go to MY mommy and have a sit down. Is it to early for the birds and bees ? Erggg...there are four more right behind her. I found a note from my nine year old son telling a girl she was hot! I didn't like boys til I was 15!
...and TY for the clue Lola. Got it!
Snowy!!! Squeezy hugs {{{{snowy}}}} Lost me to sudoku? Never! I've been visiting Anj : )
bunny - my niece (who is 11) started her monthly last year. Her chest is bigger than mine!!! She looks like she's 16. She is only, I repeat, 11 years old!!!
LOL - bunny do the contraception talk RIGHT NOW!!!! Explain the horrors of childbirth ( I had 2 painfree!) & the terrible life with kids! Take it from some one who had a son of 19 with twins!!!!
Hi snowy! bunny, girls and boys are starting puberty earlier and earlier. Scary!

sorry.....
I'm back for a moment or two... list in hand. hi snowyowl!
OK, I was wanting SOMEONE to tell me it was my imagination. Snowy, I don't have much room to talk. I had three kids at 19. Everything worked out for me though.
can some kind person help with na/5/10 please
na 5/10 is plural of the na 4/4 above it, meaning granny
na5/10 is the plural of the na4/4 before it : )
Hi grim, I'm no help to you :(
Snowy, doesn't that talk backfire on you? I imagine mine would say "If kids are so horrible, why'd you have us then? You don't want us? Waaa"?
WOW - did you have a good time? ( silly question!)
snowy i am admiring your icon. it looks just like a kitty i had named princess daisy.
YUP! We forgot to put a TV in the kitchen though, say hello too the twins!
sorry - phone call -LOL -They are great & he's a fantastic dad -it's been the making of him -it's just exhausting when you're one place removed! Different to doing it yourself!
lola you can't believe how you miss them. thanks. wife just shouted tea, so must go ta ta
hi cliffopa, didn't see you there. Is the grid nicer today, or worse?
Hey Lupe, I remember your son got pretty upset when he lost a game. How have the others been going since then?
cliff -ty - it's just one on google images my 4 beauties are all gone now -heaven't had a cat for 5 yrs or so. Got grandchildren now instead. It has to be said that cats are cheaper to run! LOL - but they don't love you as much
bye grim
hi stidmama. i'm on my lunch break at work. making a little progress. yesterday i wished for no more re's or te's. pretty much came true except for one te.
Now I know I have a big babble problem!! Im sitting hand sewing curtains while having a pre dinner drink and playing babble at the same time !!!
Caitlyn, you are highly skilled!
Oh no! It's called talented multi-tasking!
snowy, our kids are old enough to provide grandchildren, but none of the 3 are even dating anyone so i'll have to settle for the furry kind.
Correct bunny but us women can lol
ok I am back :)
Thanks for the clue... hadn't noticed that one. Brings me up to one more word in the last ten minutes... don't know if I'll finish today -- Tom (icon is him) took the day off for his b-day and is home!

LOL Caitlyn - you sound just like me -I'm printing off stuff for a Guiding fun day tomorrow and taking numerous last minute phone calls and making a list of theing I might forget!
Hi TSM
cait, snowy HUGS! :) How are you both?

Hi folks, can anyone help me with the ac 6/21?
help with ha 6/33? Thanks :)
Had too peek back in. Lupe, that stinks. maybe sports isn't his thing? Ice is the same way though, weather they win or lose, it's how she played in the game. It's a good attitude to have...sometimes!
ac 6/21: has to do with pancreatic cells or the individual fruity parts of things like blackberries
ha 6/33 - you have fingers on your ha*d + third vowel + you put dirty clothes in the **sher
Hey everyone
ok capone, just worried for you is all love
ac6/21 = ac plus opposite of out, plus regul--
What is the theme today?
hi tigereye

ac 6/21 - same foirst four letters as the two ac's below it + sculptures and paintings are works of **t
thanks hydra & stidmama - got it now. :)
Hello everyone, I have been looking in from time to time, but have resisted playing the grid. I had two very bad days, so I thought I would have a rest day. In fact when I first logged in, I thought babble had been taken over by aliens, there were some very strange messages.
OK, now I'm really gone, take care all!
lol refresh... new icon :)
Ta for ha clue bunnyvicious, but still can't get it!
Capone, I really wish you could come visit for the weekend. I need you *hugs*

lol....i know TSM. I'm already in one dog house w/my sister (not going to her wedding in Niagra Falls tomorrow), might as well be in yours too 8p
you admire a racoon TSM?
Bunny - I've decided NOT to have him play baseball this spring...instead I am looking into martial arts....not competative - he'll just be learning the art. he's looking forward to it.
(gulp) I've been staring at the puzzle for a while. Yesterday I finished it, but nealry went mad in the process. Not sure whether I can face it today...
hi there everyone....just popped in before evening meal....what a stupid word the dw is !!!!
Hi caitlyn, when I first logged in this morning, about 9ish, there were many messages from newbies, but couldn't understand a word of what they were saying,
Karys -- I agree! hkj... not sure what to say. The first 78 words took me 30 minutes. In the last hour I've got 18...
There are lots of newbies lately. Some havnt been very nice either
Oh caitlyn, I'm OK, I had two bad days with the grid, couldn't finish them!
I didn't finish the last two either....just not enough time....and I want to do as much as I can without the lists
I see we have mother and daughter as our icons!
I have had to use the A2Z for the last three days
Great minds etc
okay, back to the wisdom (?) of the chat room... ha 6/21 please?
Capone - your not in the dog house with me... not sure one your sister though. You need to call her lol
ha6/21....like the thing over the fireplace...change first letter
I don't admire raccoons. I just thought he was so CUTE! He looks like your Capone. A masked bandit! DUN DUN DUN!
ha6/21 - first three letters of Gretel's brother, last letters of water boiling device.(ket***)
Karys, thank you! two more and I'll have 100 and will stop for a while.
tid ha 6/21 extend your ha4/5 above with a cons and a vowel
thanks haz!
Thanks Haz. I was looking for that one too!
yw stid....I have 110....but have to stop for food soon !!
You're welcome.
shes cool w/it, her sister cant go either so at least i'm not alone i'm not a racoon!
having a lot of trouble with the top left hand corner !!!
ok maybe your not one but I still think he is cute don't you? Well I am glad you weren't the only one... although if I was your sister I would have felt twice as back with both of you missing... oh well
Goodness. This is the greatest thing ever. I got a roomba... and it scares the cats terribly... but they chase it around... but they don't want it to "look" at them.
Holly...what is a 'roomba' please ?
Some one please slap me? I am so tired and about to fall asleep here....
TSM! wake up! go lie down! take a break! [slap! slap!]
Toes....go have a nap....we'll all still be here...promise x
ooh! I got to 100. Taking a break... later, all!
later stid :)
That's me done - 3132 pts today. Off now for a break; 6 days in North Yorks and 4 days near Hereford, and sadly computers are banned! See you all the week after next and happy babbling.
Karys... Look on Amazon.com. :o) It's a robotic vacuum cleaner.
Karys, Stid, thank you but I can't lay down. I am at work... No naps aloud here! *yawns* It's ok. I will live ;)
ooohh...spellit....have a good time....holiday ?
Congratulations, spellit, and have a good time on holiday.
I'm totally going to make thai noodles tonight. Everyone should come over. :o)
Wow..holly..that sounds very 'posh'
later spellit
YAY spellit!
and congrats to you spellit! :) I hope you have good time while you are away
N Yorks is visiting my son and family then off to Warners for a bit of over eating
Cheers TSM and all - I'll miss you xxxx
lol. I'm all about my gadgets.
spellit....is it one of the 'Adult Breaks' ?
Yes Karys they are great but you eat and drink too much!
ok, so i walk into the bathroom and see rev and pedro giving each other a bath...2 mins earlier they were locked in that death curl that cats go into when they are fighting.... go figure and don't worry about Dani TSM, she wont be at our wedding...lol
I know...we have 'done' several....we have really enjoyed them all...which one is it ?
I so enjoy when people invite themselves to come and stay the week with me. I need an excuse not to have this person over.
There are 6 couples from my church going and I think this is about our 7th trip. We are off to Holme Lacey for the 3rd time
Don't you love that, Capone...?
we havn't been there yet....favourite is Cricket St Thomas.....don't really need to say have a good time...I know you will...(wish it was me !)
LOL capone :) its ok
We are aiming to go to Cricket St Thomas - my mum used to live near there. Bye for now
meal has arrived...brb
Hi there, how many words today?
wow I love the sound of that... our wedding *gets all mooshy and sappy* mmmmmm
Meh.
argh really should be a word, given that just about everyone here uses it on these puzzles every day :)
199 words today
Thank you, Haz.
blairla - 199 words. Are you in LA?
vpchat- I agree with you on that one!
lol, hold that feeling TSM
What should Hannah have for lunch!? :) Lots to pick from...
Fishy -- Thanks! No, I'm not in LA. Blairla is just a long time nickname. :)
Ghost Recon is the bestest game evar.
The ca6/27 plz.....
Oh! I see. I'm in LA, so I was just wondering. :)
ca 6/27 is what naughty schoolchildren used to receive when corporal punishment was allowed
um, Hannah should have Joe for lunch and dinner and desert
Thanx haz..... I really feel thick sometimes.....
Don't worry about it - and you're not thick!
Haz - I can't help noticing your icon..... Are you a football fan as well?
I do take a bit of an interest, yes, but I have Martin O'Neill because I admire his intelligence and his integrity. He comes from Northern Ireland, as well!
Where are you from, Capone?
I agree with everything you said about Mr. O' Neill, Haz.... I also think he'd be the ideal choice to replace Mr. Eriksson.....
new jersey/florida
Yes, I know, but having seen what the press can do to English managers, I'm kind of worried for him.
Hrmm... where do you live now? lol
Florida, why?
Because your answer was moderately confusing. :oP I was just curious. You're originally from Jersey?
Yes
Yes, Haz, it hasn't exactly been an ideal track record for England managers the last ten years or so (Taylor, Hoddle, Venables etc.)...
So you have the accent? :o)
and hopefully I'll be moving away from this podunk town known as Jacksonville in the near future.
I presume the English press can't get their heads around England not being the best team in the world. The manager seems to be the easiest target for their frustration.
it depends, most of the time i have a north/south hybrid, but i can slip into one or the other with ease
lol. Interesting. Hehe. What do you do?
Exactly, Haz, I mean it's been 40 years since we last won the World Cup, and I can't see it happening for at least another decade or so..... It could be because of the massive number of foreign players plying their trade over here....
desktop publisher for a printing company, been at it 14 years and have good enough pay/benis to keep me here atm.
I actually remember watching the World Cup in 1966! I would be happy if they did well, but you're competing against the world with a tiny country. What do they expect?
I see I see. Where would you rather be? :o)
Another good point, Haz..... You compare the size of England with the size of a country like Germany, France, Italy, or Brazil..... We're nowhere near as large....
And football in Brazil and Italy is like a religion..... Everybody wants to take part.....
Is it because England regards itself as the 'home' of football? They invented cricket as well, but once they taught it to the Empire, they couldn't rely on winning all the time.
i'd rather be closer to TSM right now, but too many responsibilties here right now
Ugh. My weird vampire neighbor is moving out... I always contended that he was stockpiling things in his apartment... like... when he would open the door... their would be stuff stacked to the ceiling... He's filled his very large moving truck like... 6 times. I have no idea how this is possible.
I know, Haz, We give sports like cricket, football and even rugby to the world, and the rest of the world outshines us..... *SIGH*
Yes, speaking of rugby, I'm sure you rejoiced with the Irish win in the Triple Crown??
Capone, you know I have a large 3 bedroom home all to myself
I would have done if I was Irish Haz..... Quit rubbing it in......LOL
lickety split has aj 4/9. Hints? I can't even get it monkey typing...
Don't leave the door like this or you'll get draughts. aj
TSM returned home to find her door was aj**.
Lysse - clue is in this old joke: When is a door not a door? When it's aj**.
Come live with me! We would have fun together and you know it lol
What has happened to the England rugby team? A few years ago we were world-beaters, now we're lucky if we can beat countries like Italy or Argentina.....
Just a gentle ribbing, Movieman! The English rugby people take themselves so seriously!
one of my favorite cartoons! Ernest returned home...
ROFL taterlover :) your awesome
Oy--found it--how stupide I am!
LOL TSM, i think we've already had a bit of "fun", wouldn't you say?
cute, jacula. Clever clue!
The England rugby side aren't even the best Northern Hemisphere side anymore......
Capone - Yes but there is far more where that came from and you know it :) Rawr! lol
actually TSM, you have 2 large 3 bedroom homes ;) one in IL the other in FL
Kernow Bys Vikken!
Thanks, ArtLady.:)
I keep *seeing* 'danger' in this grid as well as the phantom 'tomato'.
This is probably the place where Motorola selects names for their phones ;)
There's a very nearly lettuce to go with your phantom tomato.
oo! I will change my name to Phantom Tomato. tx, jacula!
Oh yes, vanton, and car companies also...
Sorry, that was banton...numb vingers..
Capone - we should rent one out! Live in the other... watch movies, play with kitties, and play wow all the time together.... and lots of other stuff *naughty smile*
Capone-email *shy smile*
well, enough for the break - back to packing stuff
Banton - LOL. Vicuna - A nearly salad. Taterlover - I think it was Hurshy or Jera who coined the name this morning after I mentioned 'tomato'.
artlady, np - I like when people speak like vampires :D
well, you seemed to enjoy Florida so much... actaully, you come live in FL and I'll move north, where I can at least get more than 2 days of winter
ugh. He's soooo weird.
knock on his door and drive a stake through his heart Holly
I'm finished! 199 words for 3132 points.
I've never seen him out in the daylight hours. But last friday night... Joe and I went to bed super early and woke up at like... 4 am... so we went to breakfast... He was awake then.
Congrats Jacula - can you help with in6/33 - my last word?
Oooh! Jacula's going if Capone's going to talk about stakes. Unless, of course, he means the other kind; a nice rare t-bone steak.
Oh my Holly! Be careful honey... who is this man? Live by you?
Just got it - finished!
Just changed my icon, sooooooo........ IT'S TIME TO REFRESH!!!!!
He's my crazy across the doorway neighbor. But he's moving.
ha6/33 - clay tubes or figurines once used in Japanese burial rituals.
movieman - who is your new icon? :)
And Joe is here to make sure he doesn't do anything evil... like eat my heart.
*cheers* Congrats Haz!
Well done, Haz!
ROFL Holly... you are making a freaky situation laughable at least... But truely be careful. I am glad he is leaving soon. It's like that dark cloud looming out side the door ya know?
Jacula - you have nice eyes :D
Capone = Batman
Thanks, TSM. Aw, I'm blushing now. LOL.
That's my sister, TSM, I chose her because she has done amazing things with her life that I someday hope to achieve, like getting married, moving out of her parents' house and finding a decent career, in her case becoming a nurse at the local health centre....
I wonder why mega is a word but nano isn't?
Thank you all!
The in7/36 plz......
in 7/36 - add the smallest amount of rice.
Thanx Haz....
ooh. You're from Chicago. lol
Got to go and do things domestic now. Happy Babbling, all.
movieman - that is touching :) Good for you sweetie... It's great to have dreams for yourself like that. It will be even more fun when you have dreams with a partner...
You're welcome. Your sister sounds worthy of her icon status today.
If we end up moving... you and I should totally be friends. lol.
brb going to get lunch.... find me something close to Capone YUM lol
oh, in case anyone was wondering who the old bat in my icon was, thats my grandmother (moms side). she'll be 96 in oct (lord willing) and i love and respect her to no end (just kidding about the old bat part). she had been living w/my aunt for the last 13 years but she wanted to come back to her hometown. she practically raised me from 5 to 18 and taught me a lot about patience and perseverance. it's hard for me these days b/c her mind is so far gone at some times, she can't remember things she said 2 minutes ago but remembers things we did when i was a kid. a real test of my patience...lol, but she's the only one i'll go into broken record mode for.
When is this game gonna get its act together.....? For some reason, it wont accept the plural of the in5/10....
aww. Grandma's are the best. At least mine is. :o) Clearly yours too.
capone...its lovely to have someone like that....cherish....and remember x
i'm just shocked that i don't take after my dad's mom, (both of them are still alive and living in s. florida), in my 32 years, they have probably owned 25 different houses...gypsies!
The in6/21 plz......
well at least you have seen different lifestyles there then capone !!
I need to take Mikey to the vet.
in6/21 someone in prison
in 6/21 is a prisoner
right now holly ?
Thanx mary & eren.....
ha 6/21?
A clue for the so 6/18 please
ty you both :)
can anyone please give me a clue for the ma 7/32
sorry eren...don't have that yet
Doesn't handicate just sound like it's a word?
I'll probably wait until Joe gets home from work... Mikey (the cat) has been like... chewing... and he's getting sores and stuff on his tail and the places where he scratches... I think maybe he has allergies or dry skin or something... But he's been wearing his cone... and he looks so miserable.
ma7/32 is French for sailor, or put 'friend' together with a word meaning a parking area, or an item for auction.
yea, its funny b/c i have a lot of the same issues as the "capone" side of the family, except the gypsy gene. the "jones/vaden" side likes stability...
perhaps he's got that allergy to fleas Holly
so6/18 - to do with sound and ends with a bug.
Hi friends! Back for a bit more babbling!
ty haz
get yourself a bit mixed up there then capone...'shall I stay or shall I go '
He's an inside cat... no fleas. He's done this once before... and they had to shave his tail. The stuff is finally growing back. They're probably going to have to shave him again. Wonderful.
THX haz!
ha6/21 - same ending as the ma6 that relates to a fireplace.
grr, make that the "capone/deutsch" side, my grandmother is'nt deigo
he'll look very 'pretty' for a while then Holly !
lol. Karys. It took a YEAR for his tail fur to grow back... I'm not sure I can handle a bald cat for another year. :o)
Holly, better get the cat checked out ASAP. My old cat Barney had that same problem a few years ago and the vet mis-diagnosed him. He wound up dying from aniema related to fleas. My cats are inside cats too, but that still doesn't mean YOU don't track them into the house when you come in from the outside.
Holly, are you a native Hoosier?
It's been 9 years since my cat was spayed at the pound, and she still has different fur on that patch of her belly, shorter and thinner.
nm Holly, didn't see all the posts after the flea allergy one
Yeah, he did the same thing last year... and they checked him for fleas... and we just thought it was an isolated incident... but he's started with the biting again... so we put the cone on... hoping that he would just stop... But it's been a couple days and he hasn't... So we'll take him tonight.
think I'll have to go for the lists....seriously stuck now
And no. I wasn't born here. I was born and raised in Iowa... but moved here about 4 years ago.
Got all the m's exept the two ma 7's --- any help there?
yooo all
you got the sailor Cyber ?
hello
I'm finally getting used to living here... and now Joe is looking at a position in Chicago... so... I may have to start all over again.
hi zion and lorenz
If the sailor is an ma 7, no...
Hi lorenze, Hi zion. Holly, I was just curious. I was born and raised in Greensburg, IN, in the Southeast corner of the state.
thanks.
it is cyber...lol
cybernan - ma7/32 - French for sailor or friend/partner plus item in auction. ma7/32 - another French word for cloak - male, beverage, french for water *** de toilette
I've got an ma 4 that could be a sailor (or pal)
hehe. I'm pretty happy here now... Lest the Final Four weekend ruining my life. hehe. Tourists scare and enfuriate me... all at once.
Holly, I think chicago is more fun than Indy.
I love Chicago... I'm just scared about the whole moving, making new friends, new school, job, etc.
got one of them -- ma 7/36?
Not to mention that I've finally found my DREAM JOB and now I will have to move away from it.
Going to take a break - happy babbling!
Later, Haz
ma 7/36. French word for cloak. Or word for male, plus one letter (beverage), French word for water
ma 7/36 male person plus something that rhymes with the digit on your foot
See ya later, Haz..... Knowing how slow I am, I'll probably still be here when you return.......LOL
ty Haz...got it !
Holly, that's a bummer to leave a good and happy job. Plus having to move to a whole new city. It's scary. I moved to Baltimore by myself with no job and only $2000 in the bank. All I had was an apartment and the idea I was going to grad school.
thanks, Haz -- wasn't thinking french!
was it the right thing to do Deutsch ?
have to do something else for a while -- this is, without doubt, the toughest grid since I started playing in October.
Hehe. Sounds terrifying. Plus I'm not good at not knowing what's going to happen... it makes me all crazy like.
Joe is going to want to kill me. I'm totally sure.
is it me or is this grid awkward !!
this grid is awkward !
It's not just you, Zion...... It's a pain in the ARSE!!!!!
you may be too ....but I don't know that !!
Karys, Most definitley it was the right thing to do. I was working two dead end jobs in small towns where I made few dear friends. Two weeks after I moved here, I had a job at the school, met a friend who became very dear, became attached to her brother ( who later died) and am happily partnered now. best decision ever!
well im glad abt that
Deutsch....I always believe that thing happen for a reason...it may not be apperent at the time ....but when you look back, then you can see !
oh karys what are you saying lool
I agree Karys!
zion...only answering your question !!!...LOL
glad it all worked out right for you Deutsch x
well feel free to donate some answers all welcome here loool
thanks, Karys. x back at you!
have to have more questions zion !!
incidentally....glad to see your icon back again Deutsch !!!
thanks, karys. I wanted to use a pic of my dad as a young marine in WWII but can't find it.
Hey...love the new look, Karys...very 'you', very chic...XD
thats me finished
ok....in the nicest possible way...I'll se that as your Dad !
hello there Miya...nice to see you...ty
Karys, LOL Yea, ruthy! Hidy-ho, miyavi fan!
Congrats ruthy....!!!...:)
thanks ^^ my own icon's depressing me slightly, I think I need a new look myself...how goes it?
Miyavi, hi!!!!! Haven't heard from you in a while.......
lol Deutsch...howdy XD
Are you there Rivets
Hey Movieman!!! who's the icon? ^^
It's my sister, Miyavi..... If you'd like to know why I chose her, (today's theme being "People We Admire"), then check out my post at 12:49pm.....
I'm doing awfully today. is this grid harder than usual, or am I just being denser than usual...?
ahahhh, people we admire...in that case excuse my outfit, let me just go change ^^
some one mentioned my name?
Word count anyone?
199
199 today
Hi chic Llysse, Seems hard to me, too! 199 words
Hi Deutsch, some very different words today...
Thank everyone, I guess my 35 isn't very impressive then...
I'm glad that others are not liking this grid today. I'm think of making my goal 50 words (i'm at 48, so I should be able to accomplish it!)
thaaar we go, the person I admire most of all in the world ^^ The infamous, amazing, deceased for nearly eight years now - Hideto Matsumoto...hide
Cuho, it's a good start!
This grid thought he had me beat...... But it reckoned without the mighty force of....... The Licketysplit list and the Enable Dictionary!!!!!!! (Okay, so I only used them for my last ten words or so)........ Anyway, to cut a long story short, I've finished..... The disco is open if anyone wants to join me for the doneness dance........
Movieman, hide and I will join you, even though I'm not done, I do love to dance...weirdly XD CONGRATS!!!
congrats movieman *^*^*^*^ !!!
Yea! Movieman, awsome! Just a quick dance then I must return to the grid!
*boogies*
*Tries to dance like Prince, but fails miserably*
Hooray movieman! I fear my victory dance will have to be a vicarious pleasure...
Hey, did you guys start the party without me?!?! : D
Well I am back now :)
*Grabs Lola's hand* Movie, you can dance, you can dance, everyone look at your pants.
movieman that was great! *claps*
ha6/33 please?
Hi TSM! Join the dance!
ha 6/33 clay cylinders used in japanese burial rites (ancient)
You know, Deutsch, that dance wasn't as safe as they claimed......LOL
sweet! you know I know how to belly dance :)
that's movieman?! I thought it was prince! ; ) hey miyavi, nice to see you back here! : )
good evening all you lovely people :D
:) Thanks, Lola! how are you?
*starts to belly dance* Yi yi yi yiiiiii!
Llysse, ty

hi sherb! : ) Good thanks miyavi. Are you on hols now?
(((sherb))) Hey hon! Love the icon ;)
Yup, Easter holidays just started today...yay, revision! *rolls eyes*
M_fan, how are you? Been a while again :)
Making a wedding registry is hard.
hi people. not a good day. had to say goodbye to one of my furry friends this afternoon. i sure hope there is a kitty heaven.
Holly you are marrying?
Hi sherb!
(((((((((((((((((( cliff )))))))))))))))))))) My heart hurts for you :(
hi lola :D (((hey Toes))) :D
lol. I am married. For 3 months today... But my reception is in July.
hi there Deutsch!!
Hey, Toes, I'm good thanks ^^ How about you and the mini?
there is cliff, don't woory, 2 of my late cats Barney and Frodo will show your pal the lay of the land
aww, sorry to hear that cliff ((((((cliff))))).... and of course there is hun :' )
Cliffopa! I'm so sorry for your loss. {{{{cliff}}}}
Cliffopa, I'm sorry :/ But your kitty will be with the guy in my icon in heaven
Micah is there and will show your littlie where the best mouse fields are.
since most of my adoptees are older guys who weren't well taken care of, i go thru this a lot. you'd think it would get easier.
It doesn't, cliffopa :(
never is easy when it comes to pets
Hollybug, congratulations on 3 months!
I'm sorry, Cliffopa...but that's a wonderful thing to do, to take them in and care for them
Hehe. Thank you!
gotta go for a bit. my husband just came home to give me hugs and moral support.
cliff, good for him. Hugs from me, too!
hi all
cliffopa, I just got back and read down the page a little. I am so sorry...
Hi zion and stid!
does anyone have clues for to5/12 and 6/21?
hi zion and stid...new players? : )
happy congratulations holly bug on your trimonthiversary!
fairly new
ah...I'm getting quite choked up over here :( anyone got a tissue?
hi. sitting down for a while. Been weeding, playing with the dogs and moving large pots around the yard. It's a good day for yardwork, but I am out of condition!
I am good thanks MFan
to5/12, add opp of lady and pluralise for the 6 : )
*Hands Miyavi a box of tissues, puts arm around her* There, there.
WOOT! well late congrats on strapping him down and tackling him lol
Lola--thank you thank you thank you!
Gotta go now, don't wanna be on the PC all night..... Plus I'm all tired and sweaty from the dance!!!!!! See you all on the morrow...... Byyyyyeeeeee!!!! !!!
llysse, you are very welcome : )
bye movieman -- thanks for the entertainment!
Bye Movie! see you soon, I hope!
He was tackled and strapped down long ago. We just made it official. hehe. He's a good boy.
*sniffs* thanks, Deutsch :') I'm already planning a day of mourning for May 2nd, it'll be eight years
byyyyeeee movieman! : )
SSSHSHHHHHHHHH HOLLY! Don't give TSM any ideas!
I love a wedding, capone! Miyavie, do you think it was suicide?
HAHA ooooh Capone.... no idea here except what I found for you today.... tehehehe
deutsch, it's been a long time since we had a babble wedding, hasn't it? } )
Deutsch...ah, I'm still not sure. I've been *investigating* over the past few months, it's just made me even sadder.
BTW TSM, whaddya say you and I get married?
*groans* oh, Capone...what a way to pop the question...get down on one knee, boy, NOW!
But yes. My mom has planned this giant event... and I'm basically just showing up... which is fine by me... Though my idea of fun is not hanging out with random tipsy people.
Yes, it has, Lola! Miyavi, I'll look forward to your conclusions. either way, it is sad.
*nods and sniffles* thanks :)
Capone, I will fly out there tonight! I would marry you in a heart beat Joe.... No second thoughts.... I love you
Um, April Fools? lol
Awwwww, TSM. you better act quickly, capone!
c'mon, trust me when its the right time, it won't be done on a message board.
that's not amusing, capone...
better not be...otherwise you'll have the skinny weakling 14 year old to answer too...grrr~ :)
I'm laughing. Besides, we usually don't babble on the weekends, so had to do it today.
done the sudoku... suppose I'd better look for some words here now...
Goodness.
Capone your naughty... it's ok though. I will be down here as soon as you get my package... tehehe need a hint?
lol
hmmm... this is one of those grids where you make up improbable words... and they work...
Well, occasionally they work...
could someone please help me with the ha6/33? : )
*waits next to Lola for the clue*
I speak with the full authority of someone who has so far found... 4 words...
ha6/33 - ancient Japanese clay tubes or figurines for tombs
ha 6/33 clay cylinders used in japanese burial rites (ancient)
Thanks, Llysse and Vicuna!
*stunned silence......followed by the sound of googling* Thanks guys : )
:) I had to google it, too!
oh oh! forgot to start b-day cake for hubby! BBL!
You mean you don't just know what those are off the top of your head, Lola? Because the rest of us all did, of course.
vicuna, lol! : D
better get crackin', stid! LOL, I used the reverse dictionary. And it was on the tip of my tongue LOL
oops, mistyped a wa7 and found an an6... the kind of mistake I like to make...
ummmmmm...ma7/32? *waits hopefully* : )
sherb, LOL! sometimes my dyslexia is really helpful.
Don't have that one :(
ma7/32 - alledgedly a french sailor, but it sounds to me like where you park your buddies
Any clues for the ma5/12, between the ma6/24 and ma4/5? Monkey typing isn't working.
Capone - I just read you 12:55 post.... right after I left for lunch. That is very sweet. I know how you feel a little bit. I lived with my grandparents for a short time and now my grandma isn't totally there. she is very child like and forgets everything... hard because of how special she is to me and how she affected my life
thanks vicuna, great clue! ...aaaand I'm all done : )
"Just another ma5/12 Monday..."
I have a ma 5/12 that is a kind of finish on photos, opposite of gloss. Is that the one?
gwen ..ma5/12 rhymes with a popular fizzy drink
No, it's the ma5/12 above photo finish
gwen, think secret society of free ma***s : )
I must not have that one, either--sorry!
...or the term for someone who works with stone : )
excellent clues, everyone. How about the di8, please?

I just can't help myself. I'm hooked. I get so mad at the things that happen... and I'm all... "I will never watch again." But then I do. It's not my fault. It's a disease.
Thanks for the J's One more--ja5?

I love sand... is that silly? I wish there was sand here.
Maybe I should get a turtle sand box.

Ahh... the beach... *Bugzy imagines herself in a lounge chair, holding a margarita and listening to the surf*
help on the ta 6/36? i don't have the ta 4/4 right before it either.
*lola joins bugzy on her imaginary beach and hands her some sunscreen*

ta6/36 same as aw5 + t at beginning
am 6/21's?
ma7/32 please
and the sound of crows gives you ca6/39
The vampire is leaving again.
Hi, how do you find out the number of words that are in the puzzle?
cyber, add the crying veggie without the first letter : )
Holly, I love sand too... In between my toes :) Capone, its just because you are so strong. Besides who cares who else is there. Your there for YOU.... to have fun and enjoy yourself and the water and sand.... right?
Thanks Lola! *Hands Lola imaginary margarita* *Applies imaginary sunscreen liberally on very pale body!!*

HAHA! ooooh ick... Yeah that isn't cool... I liked the vampires in Interview With The Vampire a lot. See that ever?
*sips imaginary margarita* bugzy, you mean your body isn't perfectly toned and bronzed in your imaginary beach scene?? Mine is! : D
Hehe. I totally did. Though I must say that was when I first began to despire Tom Cruise... However. He's continued to give me reasons to hate him...
ma 8: keep up (appearances)
despise too.
Holly Yeah but I liked brad in it and I am not a brad fan....
a9: reaching (a goal)
*Ahem* Yes, of course it is Lola. How silly of me... *Hands sunscreen to George Clooney to apply on my perfectly toned, tanned body*
I always thought Sting would make a good vampire.
Capone, now you are being rediculous.... xoxoxox

taterlover - you know i never thought of that but I would second that vote

Agreed and agreed.
Thanks cybernan!
bugzy, can I borrow george when you're finished with him? I can trade you for mel gibson : )
TSM, I think Sting was originally considered for The Scientologist's role in Interview...too bad.
Sting is my fave singer!
thanks nan! Do you have the am 6 that means pertaining to the building blocks of protein?
No prob, Lola. I've got a whole slew of fabulously wealthy and handsome men ready to wait on me... :D
Hi cliffopa -- I don't think i can stand to be indoors much longer. I think I'll just set 100 words as a goal :O
Do any of you watch Veronica Mars? It's totally not a teenage show... which everyone thinks it is... but... yes.
You can borrow any of them !
capone, nice! I knew I liked you people for a reason...
*lola likes bugzy's imaginary beach more than any other she has ever been to*
Jason Dohring aka Logan Echolls aka SUPER HOT... he's a scientologist. It bothers me terribly... I suppose because I just don't get it.
sting favorite solo artist, police/queensryche tied for fave band
You're welcome to come to my beach anytime, Lola... It's my favorite place, too, especially on a Friday afternoon! :D
reb - i've got a wireless network at home so am out on the deck in the sun with a laptop. we're lucky in NH - we had no mud season this year! yeah!
I'm missing the two am 6/21's
We should all put all our money together and buy an island... where we will live and play babble... and have sand.
cyber, one is am plus a veggie that makes you cry without the first letter.
...the other is am plus opp of out plus the first two letters of frozen water : )
great clues lola.
lovely clues lola, Thanks
oops, sorry, that was the am6/24! : /
try am plus vowel plus parking *** backwards : )
Thanks, Lola -- great clues!
Good idea, Holly - Babble Island :)
Happy Friday to All: Can I get more help on the di9 my brain isn't getting the sparkly jewelry clue
hey speed!! di8, think first four letters of a girls's best friend and add a poker stake : )
di 9: a word based on the hardest gem meaning to look like the "ice"
I need three people to come play ghost recon. You all know you want to. Hannah. You're only three hours away. You can totally be the sniper. :o)
taterlover, yeah too bad... would have been good
Well, I must be leaving Babble Island to fetch my little ones... TTFN all ! :)
RAWR! >^..^<

I'm still missing 1 ma 4/5... this is really frustrating
Hi lola !!! It has been a while, hasn't it? I'm doing ok, other than a fractured foot (happened a few weeks ago) that is really slowing me down a bit.
Thank you! I like him too... There were 4 of them in my attick a few months back. I had to catch um and free them in the forest... Cute but mean little guys! I like your icon lots too! Meow! >^..^<
speedfreak -- Elton John in the 70's -- big glasses, lots of glittery things
ta5/10, to spoil.
ma 4/5 Just think "g'day!"
TSM Dead raccon in the wall covered in SPIDERS!
I've got that one, randomspaces, thanks for trying tho!

Ok ... somehow that cute little raccoon is losing some of its appeal :) :)
capone, that's just so YOU -- gross and yucky and blech. do you ever say anything nice?
hi everyone!
hi temple! : )
lo 5/10 like a gambling game, change the last cons
...and artlady! : )
last lo 5/10: like a fancy coffee drink, different ending vowel
lola -- haven't a clue how I injured the foot. That's the bizzare thing! So I walked around on it for a couple of weeks before finally breaking down and going to the doctor. Probably not the smartest thing I've ever done :) :)
hi Temple & artlady ... good to see you !!
TSM Dead raccon in the wall covered in SPIDERS!
cathy, that is weird! Are you okay now?
Cathy, feet are wierd things. There are so many tiny bones that your experience is not so unusual!
Thanks for the clues got it now
Road kill, capone...or wall kill
cathy: why do you have a picture of my crockett?
TSM Dead raccon in the wall covered in SPIDERS!
at 6/21?
artlady, a little bird told me there might be a party in London this summer?? : )
No! Capone :(
Temple -- I was just thinking ... my Scotch and your Crockett could be twins :) :)
at6/21, plural of the at5...add more than one guy : )
((( temple )))
massively confused.
Yes! A friend and I are going to Italy. My frequent flyer miles will get me to London, so we're staying a few days, mid-June. I'm looking for restaurant recs, pubs, whatever. We're doing lots of art stuff (since we're both art teachers).
<<<<SPIDERS IN TSMS PANTS>>>>>
Thanks guys ... and appreciate your trying to make me not feel so dumb, artlady. I'm fine. Looks like I just have to wear one of those **fashionable** boot casts for a couple of months. :) :)
thanks again lola
NO! I hate spider! They really freak me out
Hannie <3's teh spiderz
artlady -- that sounds like a wonderful trip !!
Hannie <3 the Joey!
cathy: my icon is not crockett - just one i liked. they surely could be twins! it's uncanny!
Hannie <3 the Joey's Gramma
You know what things are really scary...? Centipedes. Those scare me to death.
Cathy, I went on an art history trip to Florence last summer--fell in love. My poor husband--has to compete with an entire country!
Joey <3's teh Hannie
artlady, sounds great! : )
Joey's warlock just dinged 10!
wa6/36 clue, please? or point me to one?
artlady -- Wow, I've always wanted to get over there. Maybe I will some day. Have been to UK, but that was on business and didn't get to see many sites.
Woot for the warlock!
Temple Owl - the wa 6/36 means fading
wa6/36 - moon getting smaller
temle, is the moon waxing or wa****? : )
I've never been to the UK. My hubby spent a month there twice, visiting friends near Lymme, but not me. Someone has to work.... ;-)
Temple....what the moon does when its not waxing
wa 6/36: if the moon isn't getting bigger, it's wa****
Need major help with the ca's!...........any of the biggies
right, it's lola's bedtime now, see you all tomorrow : )
good night lola!
bye lola! thanks all for the cluea!
Good nite, Lola -- thanks for the help.
bye lola ... hope to see you again soon !!
nite lola :)
Nite, Lola. It's good to be back in Babbleland!
that thanks was for every clue giver! : ) hi karys!
Cathy I was just reading through the log for clues and saw you fracturned your foot. You have my sympathy. About a year ago, I fell off a ladder and shattered my heelbone and was in a cast for about 6 months. I still can't walk right :/
ja 4/9, anyone?
hi there Temple x
I cna give you lots of help with art museums in London if you need it, Artlady!
I need 8 and 9 letter clues..... Help?
Wow, macuser ... sounds like you had a bad injury. I'm hoping mine will heal in a couple of months. It's one of the bones on the top of my foot, so shouldn't hinder walking. The doctor just said it's in "a hard place to heal."
TSM, the 9 letter clue is Spidersss!
I should probably get dressed at some point.
macuser, TSM is in the market for a new computer...tell her she needs to BUY A MAC!
Atalante, one day we're heading up to Perry Green to the Henry Moore Foundation. My friend is from Kansas City and the museum there has a wonderful collection of Moore sculptures in a beautiful garden. She's a big fan.
Spiders? Your crazy :)
Cathy Yeah, I'd imagine that'd be a hard place for a bone to heal. I also sported one of those "fashionable" casts after having a fiberglass cast on for months. It was a joy at the time... being able to take it off to shower, etc.
Then we have to go to the British Museum...history and all that. Otherwise, we're flexible. We don't have a lot of time--3 1/2 days.
ca 6/24?
you'll love it there!
TSM -- the at 9 uses "our favorite suffix of the day" along with an at6 -- to gain or acquire something
Bye-bye everyone!
My non-negotiable is Ravenna, in Italy. I have to see the mosaics of Justinian and Theodora!!
I know what you mean, macuser. I did have a compression cast on under the boot for the first 2 weeks, and it was a joy to get that off, even after that short a time :) :)
depending on what kind of art you'd prefer, there's plenty of choices!
lol capone... TSM buy a Mac! I use one because I'm in graphic arts and it's the industry standard... but they are nice :)
ylleria....up left to the middle and then directly left !!
ditto macuser. been a macuser here since 1988
I LOVE my mac. and like... I got a new cell phone that runs windows... and I totally remember why I switched... My phone has crashed more times in three weeks than my computer has since I got it.
I'm into contemporary, Dutch "masters" (Hobbema, Hals, and my previous incarnation Judity Leyster), Greek pottery, Lippi....I could go on and on and on...and sort of did!
TSM my mother is a major Mac person. She sneers at my Windows-based machine and laughs at all the problems I have!
macuser they are great. My photographer has a mac just because of how great they are for picture editing because the graphics.... I have neverh ad a mac before.
ca 6/24 - please? --- pretty, pretty please?
In 1988 I was 7. :o)
bye llysse
Yay to you, capone! ;) You got one when they were quite small
HAHA Holly... In 1988, I was 4 :)
National Gallery, Tate Britain, Courtauld <- definites! Tate Modern is wonderful if you like modern art. National Portrait Gallery is good if you like portraits (really, its a wonderful wonderful gallery and right next door to the National Gallery). Those are the "biggies"
yea, had one of the original all in ones. hell i even had an apple 2 at one time
HA HA Holly and TSM! in 1988 I was 22!
I love doing that to Joe... "When you were 18, I was 12." He's never amused. :o)
Just a babe, Holly!
Capone when I was 5, you were 15! I wouldn't have liked me then lol.... When I was 15, you were 25.... You might have liked me then huh? lol
TSM - you'd love one... they're very user friendly. The only downside is not all games are compatible with the Mac
oh, to be young again...
lol.
Stop throwing the age thing around! In 1988 I was 34!
but WoW looks better on my mac...
Hi cybernan -- it's one of those with no def attached, but think of a state of sleep and insert a couple of extra vowels toward the beginning :)
and I even have a super nice graphics card on my windows machine.. so...
we're big in to age jokes here today -- Tom turned another decade!
stidmama and artlady - thats because your so awesome!
since 15 would have gotten me 25...no
in 1988 I was 41. Can anyone beat that?
Hi all -back ayt last! LOL ArtLADY -me too!!!!
lol @ Capone.
stidmama -- what do you mean again!!! -- you stil are young -- same age as my daughter!
Yup Mah I was 48
macuser, yeah that is the only thing that i am not a fan of that has stopped me in the past for getting a mac. Most programs, games, tools that I know of are not for Macs.... BLAH
Atalante, thanks. Probably the Tate Modern, too. It just depends. We also want to tour around and do the touristy stuff. Tower, all that. Find some good pubs. Eat that famous English pub food...
MAH -- I was only a couple years behind you !! LOL
Greetings. In 1988 I was 21.
Mah I was 42
SNOWY!!! Hi there!!!
deeha -- nope -- you got me beat by 2 years.
WoW and D2 work for mac... thats all ya need
I enjoy how 1988 has become our point of reference.
It's been a really long time. I was off for almost 3 months! Talk about withdrawal!
capone, this is true
good pubs in the middle of london are hard to come by unfortunately ...
nan -- :-) I've had osteoarthritis since I was 19... some days I feel MUCH older than my years. Unfortunately, I don't usually act that mature!
MAH, you win so far!
My college years....85-88.....good years.....what I remember of them................
MAH - You are the bees knees :) hehe
... forty two A's...
No, Deeha's the winner!
Hi Minski! Artlady - I haven't seen you for ages! Please don't anyone say 'You're only as old as you feel 'cos 108 seems young today!
oops make that 85 -- 89.....can't type.
Stid, good for you. Maturity is vastly over-rated. So says my 72 year old mother as she dresses up in her "garb" for SCA events.
HollyBug Glad you like your Mac. They're hard to beat when it comes to graphics
The Sims 2 also works... but it's an expansion pack behind, basically. Eternally.
I think Deeha has everyone beat!
Hi guys, How's it going?
Snowy, sorry to hear that. I'm feeling 22 today. As long as I stay seated at my computer!
I like the sims... I have it for my game cube.... fun stuff :)
Thats a first!!!
cybernan -- did you see my clue for your ca 6/24 a few minutes ago? I forgot to note on the log what the clue was for :) :)
Hi Chic.
Hi chic!
hi chic
I stopped at 27....still 27 now !!!
Heeeey chic!
Hi chic ... and hi snowy 1!
A trophy for Deeha!
chic! hi (just thought I'd be different)
hi chic :)
Well, chic, that amounts to a standing ovation in Babbleland.
I've managed about 15 mins earlier -but have had the 3 littlies for a suprise overnight + putting together final bits for a fun Day for 140 kids tomorrow. My printer & I are exhausted!
Snowy, did you hear? I'm coming over to your side of the Atlantic this summer. A few days in London then 2 weeks in la bella Italia!
Cathy -- gone brain dead -- can't think of a state of sleep beginning with di!
Whoa, guys I'm overwhelmed! Cool! Anyone guess who my icon is? Not a person but a persona...
chic is that Toonces the cat?
very good, Mac!
that cat looks like a character chic
that skit used to crack me up! :)
Email Capone
cybernan -- thought you were looking for the ca 6/24. There's no di involved.
and what's wrong with the word 'automat' ?
ArtLady -- when are you going to be in London?
hints for the ac6?
How lovely Artlady - hope you have a wonderful trip -haven't been to London for about 15 years & I was 14 the lasttime I got to Italy. My sister goes frequently & di Italian for her degree. I promised myself I'd get back there some day.
Don't know, Chic -- tried it too
ac plus ra 4/4 backwards...
ac 6: drop last letter from the ac4/6 and add the first part of the uni-horn whale.
I still cant get the 8's and 9's.... :(
Mr God.....BABBLE IS BRILL..... however should use as point of reference for acceptable words...ENGLISH MODERN DICTIONERY...eg Oxford....not US usage..modern English is most widely used language..please get it right
I see!
fyi freddie -- as a native U.S. English speaker... most of the words aren't standard here either!
Cybernan, June 14-18.
HAVE OPENED UP CAN OF WORMS....SORRY...FREDDIE
Ah freddie, it's Dr. God. He has a degree....lol
Cathy -- thanks, I was!!! -- acutally I was looking for both and had forgotten which I asked for. Been at this too long --- or I'm getting alzheimers --- prefer the former!
clue for the first ca6 and 7?
TSM one of the 9s is... in + am7/32
yw cybernan. I thought maybe I'd goofed !! The log is moving so fast, it's hard to keep up and still be able to Babble :) :)
Art Lady -- well ahead of us -- we'll be in the Loire then and won't get to London until July 3.
hey Artlady! planning your trip? : D
hi everyone ! is it a toughie today?
A killer, Helen!
hi HK
Hey Babs! London is set, still working on lodgings in Italy. I've just been asking for tourist info here.
I agree ... this one is a toughie !!
don't do it, helen... wish I'd never started...
hi helen, escape while yet ye may!
hi HK & Babbler
cool! let me know what days you're in London and I'll plan the babble convention around you! : D
Atalante ca6 is ca + 2 vowels + mother (shortened) & 7 is the plural
(meaning what days you're actually in town rather than in the country) ; )
Art Lady -- if you're going to Florence, I can give you the name of the hotel B&B where we stayed -- really convenient and quite good.
oh no, now i'm scared
hi snowy : D hi everyone :D
thx macuser - I think I'd tried every combination but that one!
Hi Babbler :)
You're welcome, Atalante... a strange word, to be sure

US english is still english (unfortunately :P). So is Australian English, Kiwi English, Geordie ENglish, Scouse ENglish etc etc
Good stid :)
freddie, it's the Enable dictionary, which is used for other word games as well. No idea where it comes from, that's just a tidbit I picked up.
aye, for real, Atalante! ; D
Freddie, the degree thing was a joke. didn't you see me wink?
TO ALL BABBLERS....by the way im from Scotland and good wishes to all "ACROSS THE POND"....regards freddie xxxx
and best wishes to you Freddie, from England
Cybernan, what's it called? I have several possibilities in Florence, and a friend who lives there. My friend that I'm traveling with needs a lift (or only a few stairs) and air conditioning, though. Plus we don't have much $$!
c'nan ca5/14 - think tin *** that food comes in + the subconscious part of the brain
Thanks, Macuser -- think I tried everything else!
it's going to be a long, late night....
All this chatting is getting in the way. I still have 84 to go! (But It's fun...altho hubby wants the computer...snicker, snicker)

redguy, there's 199 words.
ty s-mama and macuser
redguy -the total no. of words today is 199. If you go to the right hand side of this page you will find under Friends of Babble, Angelsongs Babble Page - all you need to know about the game is there and its well worht the time to visit. Welcome to babble - be warned it is very addictive!

60 to go yet, but thinking about laying down for a bit. still crying.
dw?
fierce, he's probably very dry and very funny. I'd love to meet him! (but chance would be a fine thing) :'(
babsy, cats are on foot, jeans in place, super sneaky black tee on in deference to the lovely weather. who shall we stalk?
done with the cs and ds -- also the gs, on to the ets
oh poor T-Owl. You want to listen to the rest of his stuff. He's brilliant. He's very clever with words and I love his delivery. Intelligent and witty man.
dw makes no sense. think of what you do when you have yarn and you make it into a neat ball for knitting. Put the d in front...
c'nan dw is d + not losing, minus a consonant
cnan, think of ball of string with the popular ending of the day...
*looks for Ren* where is she today? looking good, nut!! I didn't iron anything, but it's dark, so who's gonna know, right? ; )

oh babsy, meant to give you some. just bought some black chalk, that should take care of the problem
Art lady: Hotel Adria II in Florence: http://adria2.hotelinfirenze.c om/ The breakfast room and court yard is about 6 steps down from the lobby. I don't think there was an elevator, but our room was only one flight up. It is run by a fellow who lived in Toronto and New York for a number of years, so language is not a problem.
thanks stidmama so blind
it was originally, mac, but then nut had the inspired idea of drawing moustaches on people...... !! :D
Hey, I have LOTS of colors of chalk....anyone want to borrow? Catch!

Art Lady -- do you know about the 3-day museum pass for Florence? -- well worth it. Be sure to book your visit to the Uffizi ahead of time (usually the day before, in June) --- otherwise you will endure long lineups -- and don't miss the Duomo museum -- that's where all the original art work (including the Ghilberti panels) are.
ha 6/33 and 6/21?
Thanks, cybernan. I was there last summer and we went to all the museums and churches to see the frescoes. My friend has never been there, so I'll just do it all again! I know someone there who is going to arrange everything for us in terms of passes. That's part of what she does for a living, so it's worth it to pay her a fee to make it easier for us!
ha 6/21 rhymes with the thing related to the fireplace
h 6 is like ca 6/21 remove c
bye for now...have to leave for a while!
bye artlady
thanks for the ha 6/21 -- do you have the 6/33?
Evening all Happy Friday, yee haw, glad that work week is over
just got it, ha 6/33 is a japanese sculpture made of clay
hi sherylr -- I see hearts think alike at times!
hey ch how was your day
ha plus what bends in middle of your leg and sound a crying baby makes. I hope that helps...
when you say "6/33" what does that mean? Number of letters in the word & total score?
that's right, MpP
Like, very glad it's Friday. Good day at work, but glad the weekend's here.
oops, I meant, "like you, very glad..."
ahh...i've gotten an 8/50...japanese car
good clue chic! thx
WOO HOO !!! I finished this beast !!!
way to go Cathy i've got a longgggggggggggg way to go
a clue for the ha 6/21 (note, I dont have the ca 6/21 for reference) please
How do you know when you've "finished"?
Eren its like an Ma6/21 too
eren, like the fireplace ma**** but with an h
MpP there are 199 possible words in todays puzzle, when you have that many you are finished
if you have the ha 4/5 add a consonant and a vowel. what's over your fireplace....
Sheryl -- I worked on this one a longggggggggg time today, too :)
eren - ma 6/21: a cloak ( ma**** of snow) -- replace the c with an h for the ha 6/21
can someone give a clue for the an 6/18
Thanks.
CAthy I'm sure I will work a longggggggggg time on it tonight
mpp -- everything about the game and more is explained on angelsong's page (link under friends of babble)
an 6/18 is a coloring used in cheese
Sheryl -- an 6/18 is the lipstick tree. This is a very frequent word in Babbleland, for some reason :)
ok, thanks, cybernan...that was my next question :)
ha 6/33 -- still struggling -- even tried googling the def.
There are three an 6/18. the only one i have is like the veggie that makes you cry beginning with an instead of **
Cathy is there really a thing called a lipstick tree, lol , and I have been spending money on them for 25 year
cyber, try this: your left or right ha** minus last letter, plus 3rd vowel, plus first two letters of the machine that cleans your clothes
Sheryl -- I never knew it either until I started playing Babble. Google it and you'll see your an 6/18 :)
lol, have the lipstick tree,
need the one to go with it or maybe the blush or mascara tree, lol actually need the one following the tree
40 to go. looking good for a finish tonite.
go cliff
the 2nd an 6/18, think of the veggies that makes you cry when you chop them, but replace the first letter.
nan, my clue at 5:23 didn't help? I have to go lie down for awhile; see ya at the flip...
got that one
Thankyou, Chic --- whew!!
Sheryl -- do you have the 3rd one? means to apply ... think of the phrase "an**** with oil"
thats the one, ty cathy
yw ... gotta go fix some dinner. I'll try to come back later and help out with clues. Happy babbling, all
enjoy your dinner, see you later, ty for the clues
bye, cathy -- thanks for the help
ac 5/12 anyone??
ac5/12 - parts of a gland, ac + end of mi-- skirt
THX!!
MpP - can you give a better clue for the an8/50? I've been looking for ages.
ac 5/12: ac + not out + vowel
chris -- there is no an 8
What is the 2nd 8? I have di8/50.
ooh, what's di 8/50 pls?
ma 8/45
It's the cheap form of diamonds.
thank you for the clue, but I'm not sure what that is either
ma 8/45
Hi, all , may I have another clue for the di8, the cheap form of diamonds is not helping me either
di8...maybe like....part diamondm part the thing you do at the beginning of a poker game?
Beckzilla, that clue worked, thanks so much
Thanks Dippnall & Cybernan
haha, i'm all "diam-shuffle? diam-deal?" I don't wear jewlery or play cards!
et 6/21?
fierce - add an an4/4
thank you soo much Chris P!
di 8: first part of hardest gemstone + insect that is a relative + vowel
I have been working on this grid for most of the day and still have 8 words to find!
got 10 in the last 20 min from watching all the great clues scroll by. ty all cluegivers.
Beckzilla, thanks for the clue. It's like the French word for diamond, but with an e at the end.
et 6/21, please?
cybernan - it rhymes with pills that people pop for c, d, b12 etc.
Thanks, Chris ......... in 7/36?
in7/36 - add the texture of wood
in7/36 - to fix deeply or indelibly, as in the mind.
how many words are there today?
199, and hard ones they are, too
199
Thanks Chris -- great clue Vicuna -- you can pass the fish this way!
do the puzzles get harder as the week gooes by? So sunday's is just impossible?
No, AshtangaGal, it's just random from day to day.
Will I keep the fish for in 5/10 as well?
in5/10 is the crying veggie, change the first letter
I have 156 words - how many are there supposed to be? Can't find any more...
And I always think, "People who live in glass Babble grids shouldn't cast fish."
ty vicuna
ca 6/24 (2nd one)?
ca 6/24 - A truck (bit obscure!)
A french truck --- those are the second set of french words today.
Just monkey typed my last two w's and am now dragging my butt over the finish line.
apsmith, you need another 43 words, the total is 199
Thank you everyone for all the help --- wouldn't have finsihed without you.
Have to get the squash in the oven and will be back to help with clues.
cybernan - can you give me a clue for the word from the 2nd D on the bottom row??
Totally stuck on the last am6/21 and am5/12. Can anyone help?
dw 7: eating with an extra letter
ma8/45?
Thanks cybernan - that's been driving me mad!!
am6/21 - fluid in the womb (ends with tiny charged particle) am5/12 - that little creature digging holes in the garden is a m---
Vicuna, Oops, think I must have asked wrong -- those are the ones I already have. I'm missing another 6/21 and 5/12, guess I'm not sure where they are on the list.
ma 8/45 - to keep in order
OK just figured out the last am6/21, still working on an am5/12.
hi all -- I have just three minutes, and am flumoxed by the last three na 4/4: I have one ending in a vowel, one ending in the recurvy consonant -- and I have the first two...
sry stid those are the ones i have too
stid do you have the one that looks like the end of your name?
I haven't looked at the 2nd letter list yet so Idon't know position
2 left. i need a ta 5/10, but not the one that sounds kind of like the lone ranger's sidekick. also need a ta 4/4 but not sure which one.
in9?
GreyWoulf, I think I do... but I am so cross-eyed (and just plain cross at the moment....)
in 9: something that never moves
in 9/60 - dead still!
oaky doaky, off to the birthday dinner for Tom. BBL!
enjoy stidmama!!
na 4/4 - (3rd and 4th) relate to:The inner room or sanctuary of an ancient Greek or Roman temple, in which the statue of the god was situated.
Oh and Hi!!!! to everyone else :)
in 9/60: not lively
Hi gw -- just back for a few minutes to help with clues if I can.
Have you finished, Dippnall?
2nd na 4/4, take na 5/10 and subtract the second vowel. 3rd na 4/4 use na and last 2 letters of fish homeowners sometimes have in little ponds k** 4th na 4/4 na and 1st 2 letters of a really big bird that supposedly buries its head in the sand **trich
(*c-nan*) -- I have 84 to go -- I started way too early today - before I went to work - cos Sebastian refused to go to sleep after his 4 am feeding -- am about to hit the 2nd letter list. The log has been great for clues since I got home :D
Yes - about 10 mis ago. Don't usually play at this time (1.40) but had a ghastly day at work and can't sleep....... fun playing babble though!
speaking of SEb I have to pick him up, so my reponse time is about to drop :)
You'll need the list today, gw -- it's a stinker!
HI Everyone, took a dinner break, back now Hi Greywoulf !!!
Dippnall - What age group do you teach?
welcome back peri
hi peri. i'm stuck on 2 of the ta's and no one seems to be able to help.
Year 4/5 - 9-10yrs - love it most of the time but not yesterday :(
HI, Sheryl, thanks, not sure I will finish but will give it the old college try :)
lol -- same group I used to be teach -- they can be little brats when they put their minds to it.
cliff, don't have any ta words yet
these m's are driving me nuts, its not usually till the re's that i start going nuts, lol
wi6/30?
i think the ma's replaced the usually troublesome re's today. (no re's, can you believe it?)
no way, that i can't believe
wi 6/30: wi**** and dining
no wonder the m's are giving me the hard time, gotta be one letter that does it
wi 6/30 wi---- and dining
cliffopa, which ta's do you need?
anyone want to throw out a whole whack of ma words feel free, lol
which ma's do you need Sheryl?
vicuna, pls tell me you can help! one ta left, the first ta 5/10.
Hi peri! -- (*hug*) -- I'm a bit slow -- has to change a diaper and now am juggling baby and keyboard :) (*Harp*) - is that Sean Connery as Ramirez from Highlander?
hm. I have wi6/36 that goes with wi**** and dining. Still need the wi6/30. Are they related?
there are WAY too many MA words in this puzzle!!!
This is one of the worst puzzles I have seen 43 words left and don''t know if I will finish...
ta 5/10: food that has gone off is ta***ed
ta 5/10 - to decay or spoil
cyber too many lol but will take a few biggie's if you are giving clues, need the 6/30 and both 7's
wi 6/30: ends the same as the ma cloak
very first MA word, the ma6/30 please
ta5/10 - plenty of clues already, but I just had to throw in "Ooooh, Ta---ed Love"

later c-nan :) cliff - :( sorry to hear that -- how old?
cliffopa, so sorry to hear about your kitty (((((((((((*hugs*)))))))))) to you
ma 7/36: male + cross + french water
Cliff - I'm so sorry. My cats (2 at the moment!) are so special and I know how devestating it is when you lose one. Lots of sympathy going your way. You've put my crummy day into perspective.
condolences, clif. It's harder than it sounds isn't it?
he was such a beautiful, sweet guy. my only cuddler. but he was 16 so he had a pretty long life.
A good age, cliff -- but still hard to let go nonetheless
cliff mine was 17 thats a good long life for the cat. I bet he was well loved
still need ma6/30 anyone?
Is that his picture, cliff?
ma6/30 what you spray when someone is attacking you
Back for more!
i wish i had known him longer. his first family neglected him terribly. i've only had him and his younger brother for 2+ years. i just wish i could know he was okay with what i had to do today. silly, but i'd really like to know.
cliff -- you did the right thing. your kitty is much more comfortable now.
Mary, may I have another clue *what you spray when someone is attacking you* is not helping me
yes harpjane, my icon is the guy. Casper. i'm going to use it for a while 'cause i really am going to miss him.
cliff -- I can tell you from personal experience that, Yes, he was. Cats understand about suffering and the desire to not prolong it any longer than necessary.
I've discovered the secret to happiness for this game, if you're stuck, then add *ing to any old word!
harp -- I see what you mean ;D
well goodnite all. thanks for the support.
Peri, ma6 it's what you do when etc. aerosol used to immobilize an attacker

cliff -- i'll say a prayer for you and your kitty.
Mary I got it ( used the ing)
Hi ren!
night cliff hang in there
I think he knew, cliffopa, and that he was grateful to you for ending his pain. I believe that deeply. When I had my dear old cat put down years ago I just sort of knew that he felt grateful that he didn't have to face any more suffering. He and I both knew that it was his time.

hotty nutty hubby buddy. that's so sweet. I admire him too, all he's been through and having a spouse who's insane and all....
Speedfreak - a fox, wolf, dogs, jackal or coyote.
aw, nut! hi tor! PRO- nut!!!
nut, any progress on the medicine front?
*or even a dog.
yeah mab, the cancer has nothing on me! that's for sure.
oh, sorry nut. but you know you're insane, right? I believe in transparency.
hurshy - all taken care of, i didn't have to don any armor or anything!
Hurshy - How are you feeling now? I was around this morning but didn't want to overload you.x
oh, that's terrific, i'm so relieved to hear it
Thank you c's are done but still have 18 words and losing it quickly
Good evening. I know I'm not going to be able to finish tonight but I'm going to give it a shot.
that's me 72, all pro'd up mab, i really am the worse of the two, anyone will tell you.
jac - i'm a little better, but fuzzy headed from lack of sleep.
thanks for asking, jac.
Evan (Nutty one) - I've scraped off the banaa cream pie that was thrown at you and am reserving it to serve with chocolate pancakes.:-)
musicmom Are you just starting??? Warning horrible puzzle today!!!
i hope no one considers this grid easy cause the words aren't coming to me, thats for sure.
honestly, evanout, you're both pretty admirable I think.
Hurshy - have you still not been to sleep from when I was reading the log earlier?(((HUGS)))
i got about 3 hours, jac.
i am finding this grid disctinctly unsatisfying...hard, too!
Evan - Though I finished it hours ago, no, it wasn't an easy grid!
* licks corner of mouth * got it jac, enjoy those pancakes, invite me for some. mab: admirable, shmadmirable. we all do whatever we gots to do!
Musicmom, glad to see you. Was looking for you earlier, because my husband says he will mail you lilly of the valley plantlets, when they can be dug up. He mails plants often, since he is into bromeliads.
You and me both TO
((jacula))
Hi Hurshy -- did you finish without aid of the list last night?
I'm struggling with this one. too many oddish words.
jacs: nut started it...
Hurshy - if you're like me, you can just about cope on 3 hours' sleep - get to 4 and no chance! Have to go for 8 at least then. I blame it on my age.
oh, no, cnan, i was feeling too awful to try that. so actually i did find this grid comparatively easy, because i had the list so much sooner than the last few.
Inge that would be terrific. I can reimburse for shipping or buy the plants or what ever. Just a minute I'll make sure my email address is in my profile. Brb
l* leans in towards jac * don't listen to that 72, i say she's addled in the brains, she is.
Temple - Did she? I haven't read back that far. Thanks for the banana filling for the choccie pancakes though.:-)
well jac, i coped - but it hasn't been my favorite day by any means. i've just been wishing it to its end.
fine 72, just pick on the cancer caregiver, i see how it is.
Hurshy - I hope you will find restful sleep soon. Try not to let the demons haunt you.x
;-)
inge - my email address is in my profile. Email me and I'll send you my address.
Evan - Anyone who's been Babbling for as long as us 'regulars' is addled in the brain!
yes, thankfully the day is nearly over. i just don't want to go to bed too early, not be able to fall asleep, make myself anxious, and have another bad night.
Hurshy -sorry you have been having a bad time. Here have a hug. ((((((hurshy)))))))))
jacula, if anything is going to haunt a persion, its those yellow eyes.
thank you, mm (((((musicmom)))))
Hurshy -- did you finish last night without aid of the list?
Well, here Hurshy, work my grid for me. That will keep you up.
What time is it where you are, Hurshy? It's 3.09am here in UK.
Happy FRIDAYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!! Except of course for people who have to work on Saturday, in which case today for you is like my Thursday and my Saturday, which is tomorrow, will be your Thursday and tomorrow will be your Friday!!!!!! Or something like that.
no, cnan - see 8:06 reply :) it's just after 9 here, jac
i think mama has already started tippling - hey mama!
Hey mamabear!!!! I probably won't be around tomorrow. I don't have to work but we have a HUGE Girl Scout event.
Hi mamabear - have been wonering how you are doing, haven't seen you in such a long time.
great, yes your e-mail address is there. I will get intouch with you per e-mail. With 37 words to go I am quitting this grid. I agree, it is miserable, and my back is hurting from sitting all this time. Nihgt-night.
It's Saturday here in UK, Mamabear.
*head spinning from mama's post*
Good night inge. I only have 72 words so far. I'm going to play until Greg gets home from his rehearsal and then call it quits.
hello mamabear... may i have the last lo 5/10 please? or maybe it's the first...
Night Inge. Hi Mama!!!
Hurshy - can you try to sleep in about and hour and a half's time, do you think?
ooooooo, that makes it even MORE confusing, Jac!!!! Hi NUT!!!! NUT - you went pro!!!!! whoo-hoo!!!!!!! And no, I haven't had anything but diet pepsi!! This is ME completely sober!!!! Scary, huh? LOL
jacula when do you sleep???
lo 5/10 plural lo 5/10 like a coffee drink but with o instead of a
yeah, maybe an hour and a half, maybe 2 hours.
wow mama! you're just so chatty!
Something is beeping, but I have no idea what it is.
My cat is totally out of it...
Mamabear's going to be unstoppable once she tries the new PepsiMax Coffe cino flavour. I've had a 2 litre bottle of it lurking in my fridge for a fortnight now and still haven't dared try it! LOL.
that was my microwave Holly, sorry it's so loud
Hollybug - It might be your smoke alarm telling you its batteries are low.
oh, mama, i thought she was hearing me, backing up.
I haven't started the grid yet, and after reading the comments regarding same, I think I am better off that way.....
holly - it's just the voices in your head.
I see lots of words that are almost in the grid:-) Does that count?
hehe. No, I know that beeping... the high pitched squeak noise. This is something else. :o)
Sure MM - you'll be rewarded with an "OOPS" and no points!
Mama! ha! I have a phone that beeps when the power is low. I put it in the oven so I can't hear it.
MusicMom - If you mean the Phantom Tomato, and danger, and Camelot, and cameo then, no!
Mikey went to the vet and he has allergies... it cost me 50 dollars to find that out... though I could have told the vet that... but they gave him a shot... and now he's stoned.
mmm, roasted phone, delish
:>(((
mab - with your phone in the oven - when it rings it must be a HOT date!
And Sonata. I can't quit seeing that one. Oh and Dowager.
Mab - one of these days you're going to forget it's in there and turn the oven on.:-((
Incidentally, as Capone pointed out earlier, 'wang' isn't allowed.
Mama - look at me. who would want a date with me. time is not treating me kindly. I hope we have that pepsi potion here, jac, sounds interesting.
cnan, you still here? i am wondering if i misunderstood your question and confused you with my reply. i did finish yesterday's grid with no list. not today's (which i was doing in the night, hence MY confusion)
MAB! don't you ever let me read you type like that again!
More help please di5/12 been monkey typing for the points but to no avail....
I'd shave, evanout, but I hear that it just grows back even thicker.
Mab - facial hair is a menopausal problem - just pluck 'em out! LOL. The thing about the menopause it that hairs don't stay where they are meant to be... they migrate.
mab - have you considered contact lenses? That would do the trick!
no, just a little preparation h around the eyes is all.
Men have the same problem. Hair moving about.
di5/12 - Middle Eastern currency. (Sounds a bit like a place where you might eat.)
Yep torg - it seems to move backwards doesn't it?
evenin' torgone!
like, where, torgone?
Torg - I know. It moves off their heads onto their backs and shoulders.
oh no mm, hubbynut already has plenty back there!
Good thinking Jac!
Evan - the hair also starts to sprout from their ears and nostrils, and their eyebrows go haywire.
yep. my ex has all three going on.
yep that too Jac!
yeah, this has always been a problem of hubbynut's in youth, the problem i suppose will be finding him through all that hair in his old age.
Fortunately I haven't lost much up top, but I've got all kinds of new ear and nose adornments. My eyebrows look like anteaters and my back and neck are heavily forested .. Attractive, eh?
ya'll are grossing me out :) any clues for le 7/36?
I hate this grid.
I think so, nut. Heschel here seemed never to have lost a hair in his life. When he was old he was just a wrinkle with mounds of white hair.
That was worth posting twice .. boob.
guig - married?
Nut - I can't believe that "hubbynut" name has still stuck with him!!! LOL
Sheesh half the words start with ma. What is with that?
grrl - what you do when you're not strong
A clue on the le 6/24 please?
yes -- i'm imagining my husband with his nose hair clippers LOL
You're going feral, torgone.
thanks Eren!
course it did mama, can't count the times i almost call him that when he prefers 'the dozer'
Just you wait guigrrl .. Muwahahahah!
Cha-cha-cha-chia!
hahaha. le 6/24 -- according to babble the def is: A white, crystalline, nitrogenous substance formed in the decomposition of albuminous matter by pancreatic digestion, by the action of boiling dilute sulphuric acid, and by putrefaction. It is also found as a constituent of various tissues and organs, as the spleen, pancreas, etc., and likewise in the vegetable kingdom. Chemically it is to be considered as amido-caproic acid.
Oh THAT le.....
snicker
ok another bone head move for me. i just need to go through and add *ing to everything!
cute pupster, guigrrl
I'm off to cuddle up to my hairy man. 'Night folks. Happy Babbling.
guig - trick i missed this go round to
night jac!
nite nite, Jac! have a good nite
thanks Mamabear -- she's my old girl. 12 years old. Oh, if she could talk, the stories she'd tell...
hi everyone, thought i would pop in for a bit, haven't done very much tonight, i 've just got in
hi scatty!!!
Night Jac. Scatty, where have you been?
Hi Mamabear, Haven't seen you for a while
We're all just sharing how gross and disgusting we are. (and by "we" I mean "me")
finally 1 word left but sadly it is an m so now for the hunt as to which one!!!!
Hi scatty.
been down the pub then round a friends house, just got back, thought i'd have a peak before i hit the sack
And by "me" I mean older men in general .. Or "feral" as mab would say ..
torg, certainly not me, there is nothing disgusting about me...except that thing - er, nothing, nothing disgusting at all!
oh go ahead, nut, share. share, share, share.
no, no mab, nothing to share, nothing to hide. i should have been a supermodel, really!
I'm sorta bored.
Someone should entertain me.
well gee holly, lemme do a little dance for ya! * slips on tap shoes *
A rabbi, a priest, a midget, and a squirrel walk into a bar . . .
i've only found forty 40 words so far,is it me or is it quite hard tonight, i can't seem to see many, they usually jump out at me but they are playing hiding seek. i don't think i will get this one finished tonight some how
oh, Holly -- here's a joke..."so a dislexic guy walks into a bra.."
ahem, torg, i don't think they like to be called midgets - that's politically incorrect.
Scatty it is nearly impossible tonight. I'm even being quiet and focusing on the grid and having trouble.
thanks. I was playing with those first 3 letters trying to get something that had them!
Lol guigrrl!
lol. You're all terribly silly.
;) torgone finish yours!
Guig - that is horrible:-)))
It's not you scatty, the grid is grisly.
The ma */* 's are going to make me loose my mind!!!
musicmum, you have usually finished by now
you and me both grigs - that's where I am
holly bug - would that be the japanese animation stuff?
i've got 4 m
that seems to be the zeitgeist of this grid, grigs.
The bartender says: "What is this - some kind of a joke?"
yep those ma's are a pia
I had a crazy day --- grocery shopping, helping the elderly next door neighbor, phone calls, set up for GS event tomorrow -- you name it. I started this morning and I really shoudn't have. I haven't even broken 100 yet.
LOL
I'm getting them very slowly. . . and painfully
Hi again everyone!
The sudoko was a piece of cake today. This grid is a piece of . . . .
hi GW
((((GW)))))
Heya woulfy!
hi gw. have the little ones settled down?
pie?
No. Not pie. Well, maybe a kind of "pie" ..
Heya hurshburger!
Kristianna is now in bed, and Seb has had a bath and is durrently nestled on mommy's chest -- hopefully he will go to sleep fully and then I can try to mamke up some of the sleep I didn't get this AM
I dont' think that is what he was going for Hursh.
good GW -- did you ever find out what all the screaming was about? Clearly it has been resolved :)
(((***hurshy***))) -- how you feeling, lady?
oh no! forgot about sudoku * scrambles off to the puzzle *
brb
guigrrl -- no clue -- that is the most frustrating part of this age -- no consistency of response and no real ability to find out what is wrong :\ I think he had trapped gas bubbles
believe me, i know...and hopefully i'll know again soon :) i'm glad he's feeling better.
I have like 30 words and I'm already starting to enter repeats .. Bleh ..
santa isn't a valid word? sheesh -- how do i break the news to the kids...
i am ok GW. glad the day is nearly over. is anyone else having trouble with the site? i keep getting a message that says a script has stopped running
goodness.
So who had a fun day at work today??
and oh, thank you for the greeting, tor, i have never been a hurshburger before, it is exciting.
glad to hear it, hurshy -- I really didn't want to leave this AM -- did you end up staying home?
torg - scroll down to see my day at stay at home mom inc
i did not do my first period class, but i did manage the one after lunch. (since it's boarding school and i live here i can be selective like that)
It's so sweet of you to help your neighbors, mm. Sounds like you have a good life. Hectic, but really quite nice.
torgone, if you mean by fun at work, working your butt off, being a stellar employee with zero black marks, and still getting passed over for promo in favor of a complete and utter female of a dog...then me.
I was going to say hurshheiser but didn't think you'd get it.
hurshy -- glad to hear that as well.
ack! glitching making chatting very hard. i am going to go and dry my hair now. good luck to all who haven't finished yet!
Thanks mab. She is really a nice lady - has lived in the same house since the 60s. She decided to put her windchimes back up because the temp is warmer. Called to see if I would climb the ladder to do it. I ended up visiting on her porch swing for an hour.
Been there, eva. Fun.
I hope my someday kid has red hair.
oh, tor, i would have, actually. howdya like that?!
Night Hursh. may not see you until Monday.
how nice holly, what color is the hair now?
Evening, everybody!
oh, then have a good weekend, mm!
so long hursh -- don't hesitate to drop me a line anytime :) (*Hug*)
Thanks! you too. get some rest. Sounds like you need it.
((GW)) thank you as always :)
hiya charm!
Spiffy hurshful! Niters to whomever is leaving ..
sweet dreams hurshy.
Hey, musicmom. You wouldn't happen to have a clue for the HA6/33, would you?
No charm i'm sorry I don't. I just broke 100 words. Very slow today.
bummer. What of the MA7/32? If I can get those two, I'm done....
no --- I am soooooo sorrry!!!!!!!!!!
I'll help you look though.
I'll just be monkey typing along, then! What can I help you with?
ha6/33 - japanese statuary, I think if I remember the clues I read earlier correctly what's at the end of your arm -d + 3rd vowel + baby's cry
wow Thanks GW. Charm - I'm not sure what I need yet. I'll holler for help. Thanks
GW! Wow - GREAT clue! How are you?
ma7/32 -- aussie for pal + a vacant *** These are repeats of the clues I benefited from earlier ;D
Charm - Your husband is your ma..your house is built on a l..
Got any grapes?
Sour ones ..
VERY tired, Charm -- Seb woke at 4 am for his bottle like normal, but then he didn't go back to sleep until 6 -- no point in my going back to bed, so I hopped on the grid til I needed to go to work
GW & MKlein - thank you! Great to finally finish today. I could only play for a few minutes here and there, rather than concentrate for a stretch, so it feels a real ccomplishment.
MamaBear! Have you been hiding?
BRAVO CHARM!!!
wa6/30?
GW - I am truly grateful that my baby has gotten over that. He just likes to sit up in bed and talk in his sleep now.
not really Charm, was just distracted for a few.
I can't see the in 9/60. Can anyone give me a clue for this silly word?
WA6/30 - pale + charged particle.
dan?
what a silly word, Charm!
in9 -- lacking life or motion -- a stone is an in9 object
evening GW!!!! ((((((GW))))))))))
IN9 - not having the qualities of a living thing. Think zombies.
Hello
(((***Mama***)))
Hi, Harpjane.
Thanks so much GW. Now I have to go over my list to see what one word I have left off...good reason to go pro.
thanks woulf for the 9/60
harp -- who's the icon?
gray whats the aussie clue in the US?
The so 6?
one's husband or wife is considered to be a life(ma**)
stone aussie pal = american: wolves ma** for life
ha 6/33 please
ra 5/18? (It's Sean Connery, all dressed up!)
SO6 - b, d, f, g, h, etc. are conso4. (singular).
hey, sudoku rankings are posted.
ston -- see my 9:05 clue
I need one more to finish the me's!!! Could someone please give me a hint for the me 7/32
Great.
RA5/18 = ra + opp. of lose.
woulf ma7/32
ty - was trying to end with a vowel.
thought so, harp -- I asked earlier but it got lost in the chat -- looks like Ramirez from HIghlander II
I meant of course the ma 7/32 I'm feeling this puzzle more than most
hi harpjane! nut = does sudoku only post rankings for pros?
This one hurts. Like Taco Bell tacos.
thanks, now how about the first two ra4/4? I have the wet one, need the other one DESPARATELY!
torgone - if you compare it that way, then this grid will bother you more tomorrow than today
no definition for ha 6/33 but it works !!!!
i'm not a pro mama, and i saw the rankings
Found the last one!!! Will stay and try to give some clues.
hmmm... ok... maybe I'll go see how close to the bottom of the list I am. brb
Charm -- just scrolled back and saw your post about your little one -- that sounds soooo adorable! I actually had Seb sitting up in my lap at the computer earlier -- he is almost out of bobble head stage -- Yay!
RA4/4 - genus of rays which includes skates. "R" is the only consonant.
GW-I don't think he's in a movie costume, I think he's meeting the Queen. Like I said, all dressed up!
This grid looks a lot friendlier than it is. 89 left to go and I think I'll pack it in as soon as I have the second 8. Any clues for the one that isn't ma8/45?
thanks charm, how about ra7/36?
RA7/36 - your wet stuff, as a verb, present tense.
ra7/36 the act of precipitation
harp-if it's not snowing or sleeting it's ra______
the 8 that isn't ma8/45?
The five o'clock whistle's on the blink ..
Thanks eva, I knew when I aksed I was going to need the fish!
DI8 - Hyundai makes a car by this name, starts like the stone in many engagement rings.
and harp -- you were the one commenting on adding *ing to every word whether it looked right or not earlier
Sorry - Mitsubishi makes the car. Not up on makes/models....
thanks charm! Can go to sleep now.
nite-nite, Eva.
It's a 5 o'clock world when the whistle blow-owsss... no one owns a piece of my ti-ime.... there's a long haired girl who waits, I know-ow, to ease my troub-led miiiinndddd..... (now where did THAT come from?)
As I have no idea who makes what car it didn't get in the way...(-:
Keep it going, MAMA!
can't get the car clue?
either sa6?
Cat is snoring on pillow next to me. Night all!
Mama - Yours came from The Vogues. Mine came from Ella Fitzgerald.
di8 -- first half of diamond + opening bet at the poker table
mi6/27?
Good night, Eva (*Hug*) PS I totally agree with your choice of icon ;)
ok.. now this'll be the fun part... OH-de-lay-he-he-- heee-heee-heee--- yeah!
SA6 - remember about adding 'ing' to everything? sa + consonant + ... (sounds like making someone opp. of crazy).
did everybody get smoking a j----?
MI6/27 - when you dig for coal/gold/minerals deep under ground, you are mi6.
No. Of course we did not get that one ..
thanks charm, those ing's are messING my mind!
hmm... I wonder where Rennie is, she always sings with me....
yw, HarpJane. But once you see the pattern, it's so easy to find the rest!
thanks charm
Hi everyone.
Has anyone heard from shorty lately? Last I saw her on line, her dog was gnawing on an ant trap and she was taking him to the vet
The whistle won't blow and what do you think? My papa's still in the factory Cause he don't know what time it happens to be!
Hi JoJo! How ya doin?
Mama: Good. just trying to solve the grid tonite. Not doing very well tho. How's everything with you?
in 6/33?
OK. Not doing the grid today - just being annoying to everyone else who IS!
Mama - I wish I had taken your path.
Mama: I should have done the same. Did I tell everyone that I bought a new car recently?
That's my bailiwick, Mama.
Congrats Jojo!
Is THAT what that is? I thought it was a gumball machine
congrats JoJo! What kind?
IN6/33= in + blowing atmosphere (the north **** doth blow)
Shew Charm - thanks. I was definitely going the wrong way with that one.
i'm new on this site and every word is an achievement
Stoning ---- keep playing and you'll be as addicted as the rest of us.
MM: Yeh, I have very tall husband, who doesn't fit into the economy cars, plus he is older, and can't manuever like he used to. So, bought a Honda Element. Yeah, I know, it is a box, but he fits into great, and I don't have to hear all his complaints. Plus it, so far gets 22.5 mi to the gal around town. Better than our old Explorer at 14.5.
"A person's specific area of interest, skill, or authority" Oh
i am already losing sleep over it!!
That is really great Jojo. Enjoy!
Stoning - yep- you're hooked!
MM: Thanx, will do.
can i have an easy clue for ma7 under the 4= your friend
a few don't seem to be words?
In Babbleonia, the only thing sleep is only a sl 5/12 word not an activity
A LOT don't seem to be words ..

still cna't get the DI
Heya grigs! I have a Tom Servo statuette on my patio ..

Minski - long time since we babbled together - how's life treating you and yours?
so glad tobe finished with this nasty, nasty grid! night, everyone and good luck!
Bye Temple.
Things are good here. The baby is more active and demanding so if I do get some babble time it is quick mostly. I don't get much log time or clue time. I try to keep up with things, but it's difficult.
It's also midnight and I still have 94 words left to find. I rarely finish grids anymore. It is time for bed. Evil devil child got me up at 5:15am this morning. If she does that again I'm going to sell her to the next person who knocks on our door. :)

ma4/5 + ta4/4
in7 - iin + word for wheat/rye/etc.
you are far away Dianne. What time is it there? It's 11:58 pm here.
in 7/36 = in+ gr5/14 (wheat or rye)

minsk - ma4 sounds like biblical bread
ok I've only got one eye open here; need more clues for the ma8, please... Hi mrp!
Hi Chic Hi Dianne et al!
Thanks for the clue for in7
She's 15 months old and doesn't have much language yet other than mama, dada, nee (her way of saying no) and ba. As far as I can tell ba is her word for at least 20 different things. I love her dearly but as those of you who have or had had small ones know, sometimes I would willingly give her away.
ma8 - when you "up keep" something you ma8 it.
ma8 when you regularly check and repair machinery, you ma******* it
chic when you are on a diet and you reach your weight goal you then try to ma8
ok i'm really going to bed now nighty night all
nite Minski.
nite minski... good luck getting sleep!!
thanx, minski....
missing the at 6/21 and teh 5/12 following... and starting to glaze over....
at6/21 plural of the at5 above it - or at + opp of woman then plural.
2nd at5/12 - at + opp of dad - plural

I think animole should be a word....
i think "the animoles" would be a great cartoon.

plural of wa 6/30 (clue for that follows)
thx grigs...
wa* (pale) plus an at4/5 that's missing an electron...
yes, it would grigs!
Hi, need a clue for Ha6/33
harp- you'd have the annoying orange animole, and the blue one, which is probably fat and old, and you're never sure what color the blue fur is supposed to represent...

stidmama, you'll find lots of them in a lightbulb... like the one that's going on over your head right now!
Marc -- it's a japanese ceramic thing... I am told: start like the thing that holds your fingers - d + "me" vowel + first two letters of the word wa**
argh. electrical things...
marc anagram of whaina
anybody got the first an 6/18? (or the first am 6/21, that would be good to have too)
nevermind on the an, i got it.
an5/10 plural
an 6/18: an + preposition meaning placement + cross letter + round vowel
pth, thanks, but i needed the one efore that, the cheese dye...

sa 7/36, anyone?
Still can't get ha6/33 need more help?
i think sa 7/36 means hallowing... take sa*** francis of assisi, take away his cross letter, and add teh ubiquitous ending for this puzzle.
marc, ha6 ha plus joint in middle of your leg plus baby crying noise **
marc-it sounds like ha*diman plus magic w**, without any of the d's
thanx, grigs!
or to expand on chic's clue, ha + (what a knight says) + (what a baby says)
brain stopped - please help - 3 to go : ca 6/24 & ca 7/36 (2nd set) & an 6/18 ( i didn't understand the clue just given for that) - thankx
Thanks finally got it thought i was going crazy
that's the 1st an 6/18
an 6/18 # 1: an + first vowel and cross (doubled) + round vowel
so 6/18
stid - you're the best - got it !
ca 6/24 and the 7: I think they're french for road: ca* corder + io 4/4

YAY helen!
am 6/24 = a + very short skirt + 3rd letter
**happydance**
so late - might as well stick around for the flip - see what horrors await us
I am stuck on the sa 5 that doesn't mean "holy" in spanish and both sa 6s (assume their a sort of plural?); also the na 4/4 just one of the last three... I have one ending in i and one ending in s
2 of those n's end in s
:) stid - use your english for the other sa5!
the sa/6 following the spanish sa/5 has the tall letter at teh end.
grigs -- (egg on face) -- yes, I am going crazy, ha ha!
the sa/6 following teh ENGLISH holy sa/5 is the sa/7 above it, minus teh skinny vowel in teh middle.
sa 6/24 = *** fransisco + gerund ending
thanks all -- that's as much holy as I can stand for one day... ta 4/4 the first?
thanx, stid!
help! clues for any and all of the am's past the am 6/24. I cannot believe how dense I feel tonight!
it's the color - with the middle vowels reveresed
chaucer wrote the wife's ta** ... swap the last two letters.
stid - did you get those sa's & the na?
the LAST am is a+ burrowing critter starting with m.
ch - that's alotta am's :) many variations on am + 14th letter
ma 6/24?
yes helen, thanks. just took my fingers a while to type them in. Down to my last category, nine words left...
am 5/12 = am + 14th letter + not POW, but M**
ma 6/24 .. a crazy person.. she's a ma6/24, ma6/24 on th efloor...
ma 6/24 is the person form of ma 5/12 - as in : that chic is a real babblema****
am 5/14 is am(14)(ending meaning of or like) am 6/21 is am(14th)(part of an atom) the next am is the plural.
cu 5/18 please? And thanks, helenkeller and grigs for the am clues..
what you do when you play pool, or if you're a stage manager.
cu 5/18 is alternate spelling of brits standing in line

ma 7/36, ma 6/39...
okay, one more --- the ma6/24 that follows the fireplace man*** please?
hk, i loved your clue, what was wrong with it?
ch reverse the last two letters...
ma7/36 - take the ma/5 above it, drop the last vowel, and ad teh ending of a french hat (chap***)
ma 6/39 is a word for a gaping mouth + gerund ending
ma 4/6 the last and ma 4/9
the next ma 6/24
ma 4/6 and the ma 5/12 before the one that means companion
