yes, I've been helping early readers for 30 years... off and on. It's a passion for me (my mother has her master's in remedial education, I started out helping her when I was a child...). Of course, my own kids didn't need me! :-)

cyclone5, start simple. Find a few four or five letter words and go from there. You'll be surprised how many more you'll find. It works a lot like Boggle. Pick a letter and look around it to see if you can start making words.

THe codes are ways of identifying words we are missing. Example: CE5/12 means a word that starts with CE and has 5 letters for a total of 12 points.

The easiest way to use the babbler's anonymous site is to right click on it then click open up in another window. Then click on general and then click on stats. That way BA opens up in a separate window and you don't have to keep clicking back and forth.

Hello Nubies, the points don't matter really except for players' rankings (see the top of the page) and you have to have played for 3 days to get in the rankings. It's really about getting all the words in 24 hrs.
it's the average number of letters in the words you've found.

scribble..think about the white ball used when playing pool. "The standing in line clue" refers to a word that is said the same as the name of the white ball but spelled differently.
and its the same as te name of the stick used to play pool as well, but again spelled differently (but used in past tense and so on and so forth)

jackleventon: not all real words work, same for fictional ones! I haven't figured out a logic to the dictionaries used by most word games -- some foreign words count, some common slang words don't, occasionally no one can seem to find a meaning for one of the "words" the game wants!
