hi, all. gonna get some blogrunning in, then maybe back for a few. Hope this one is more reasonable. crwth, indeed. Hmmmmph.
(cough..cough...) sorry stid....
i really didn't like rawnesses, myself!
Oh Jesus! I don't know if Ren got my adive re chicken soup with or without milk or cream as the flip happened but |I do know that the first thing I saw in the new grid was 'Hard on'!
452 words!!!!
That's gotta be a joke. 452! Well, better get started!
Damn! The grid doesn't even have the decency to give us any erect words after that, though I did post a '4' word in my first post.
no -way -- well, I guess there's no help for it! I've already started. :-) fortunately, it's not for money...
oh my mistress...it is at the top!!!
Hey Ren, is that a pic of you?
How many words are there?
chic -- are those matzahs?
yes chic - fuzzy he**
they were matzos...Cute you are, REn!
452 words!!!!!!!
oh i see a sunset, now!
is that a pic where you live chic?
hehehe there's a fish in the puzzle!
I didn't take it but it's typical of the scenery..
same goes for my pic chic. it's portland, or
yes, yikes. 452 ...42 would have been a better answer; but at at least I have 10% of them
T 7/32...puny when there's 11's
at least there's a narcotic in the grid to take the sting out of the size of the puzzle...
it's a bad sign when I have 70 words this soon -- the last 200 or so are gonna be killers!
D 8/45
he 7 (also he 6)
v 8/55
morning all. what a lot we got today.
morning, oggy!
108 words... (this is ridiculous!)
You're giving me hope that maybe 452 is doable, Stid... once I have both hands free, of course...
knutmeg, flee while yet ye may! "I have a bad feeling about this... (Han Solo, Obi Wan etc)" "It's too easy (Leia)" there's got to be a trap in here somewhere -- like when Lando betrays Han...
H 9/60
Hello everyone!
hello SweetTooth!
hey sweet
130... slowing.... down.......
H 7/36 x2 H 7/32 H 8/50 x2 H 8/45 (related to H/9) ......and I still need 6 more h's.
or9/60 or10/77
according to the stats, there are 2 11-letter words and a slew of 10, 9, 8 and 7...
yea mrp! this is a big grid tonight/this morning!
This particular addiction will not allow me to pass up the challenge of so many words... already sucked in... edging in near 100 myself, and that's all 1 handed!
he10/77 ra9/60
knutmeg, you are an astounding and talented woman!
Just resourceful. :-)
oh oh oh vi10/126 !! Wooooooo Hooooooo!
Hey mrp! good one!!!
go MrP!!!!
mrp! I got the vi 10!!!! and the 9!!! TY TY TY TY
go stidmama!
TY Lickety! :-D
Yay Stid!!! Is it bad that I'm begging Liv to fall back asleep so I can really get my teeth into this puzzle?
I am ready to post clues but not the 11 letter words... if someone gets them let me know
no, but remember she will fall asleep quickest if you are relaxed and calm.... :-) breathe in patience, breathe out haste
lickety-- do you do these by hand?!?
I know this though : R11, O11
stidmama - No way! I'm not a freak ;-)
hah! thought I was so hot, but I do still have 307 words to find... lickety -- ;-)
any hints on vi10 plz Mr. President
vi10 builds off of vi9
and vi9.....
hello rosalind -- Freckle: vi 6 is a grand vi****; a person of great importance in the sultan's palace; the next two are lands this person might own...

There are vi 9s

am not going to get this done at all! too much easter stuff to do... bugger!
have y'all mentioned the in 10/77?
mrp -- we are going up skiing in the afternoon, will be gone and so I don't have to worry about any baskets, eggs, or decorations this year! [will take a few small things, though] I recommend this method for all holidays!
mrp...beauty easter bonnet!!1
ye gods! 452!!
hi Krys! jump in!
Gosh! An hour gone and only 170 words.....
I thought I was doing rather well at 172 words... :-(
you are stid..i have 40...cough cough....cough
ok, I'm getting out the laptop and heading to bed with it - this is ridiculous!
yes, renfield, my dear child -- but you are ill, and it's much later in the day for you! [do cover your mouth when you cough, dear]
whew! Sleeping baby, now to focus, focus, focus.
***air kisses to sweet baby*** knutmeg -- I am really slowing down now... only 179 words.
Wow! That's a very good chunk! I'm still under 100, but I had to stop completely for a bit to feed the baby, 45 min of nursing and still had 3 ounces of formula!! Hungry baby. :)
very hungry baby! do you have enough clothes of the next bigger size?
I hope so, although I'm learning I need a few more sleepers and pants and such so I can dress her a bit warmer when we go out, but she still needs to grow *into* her 0-3 month stuff before I really even begin to worry about that. We're just starting to see stuff fit better these last few days, but almost everything is still really really baggy
knutmeg, was the baby (Liv?) born early?
Nope, she was actually a week late, if you can believe it. I'd guess she's right around 8 pounds now, maybe a smidge in either direction. She was long, though, so she looks really skinny.
i got the 6, 8 and 9 of the vi = how do i get to the 10? please?
plural joey
joey, another spelling add an 'e' in the middle...
Wow, you're lucky to have a little one. My kids were two weeks early and still 8 lbs 4 oz and 9 lbs 3 oz. They only fit in 0-3 mos stuff for the first week or so. Newborn diapers only lasted through our hospital stay with my son!
200 words! Got to stop! Hot cross buns to make - bbl - :)
ren, not the plural that is my 9 - i am guessing that there might be two strings. now I will look for the second. chic, that might be the way you are leading
later, dippnall! happy easter if I don't see you again before then!
yup, that was it - over 2000 points, I quit for the night. thanks for the help.
I will admit I feel so very lucky she's a smaller baby, I have a friend with a baby who is only 3 weeks older, but he was born way bigger, so he's already 12 pounds and some odd ounces!
good night, joey!
g'night Joey!!
Yikes! My sister had a baby 8 weeks early, only 3 lbs 5 oz. She fit in your hand. Nothing like my giants!
ni** joey
a couple of games of spider and I am off. sleep well everyone - or whatever time frame you are in, may you have good times.
wow, you get a lot of mileage out of that vi word!
i know they say that bigger babies are better, but i don't believe it. our 13 was 9.5 lbs and way too big when he was born -- too big -- and spent his first two weeks in a neonatal intensive care unit... he didn't fit into any of the newborn things we had got!
parting words - Ren, I hope you feel better than you sound....... 8)
ooh, lots of royalty and VIPs in this one - one's a neat T7/28.
Hehe. You guys are not helping Joe in the least. I've been bugging him about having a kid... talking about cute little people makes me more determined. lol.
mrp...oh mrp...where are you????/
My brother weighed 10.6 when he was born.
goodnight everyone, hubby came home with taco bell
g'night wassup!
oh HollyBug-- cute they are... when they can go home! when home is with you, they quickly become "work". You still love them, and enjoy them, but it's also sometimes very trying and tiring.
good night wassup!
hey holly - how;s school!
hey everybody. has there ever been such a big puzzle? geez, i don't if i want to even start.
re 10/77
I imagine. I know I'm a bit too young still... and that we are right to wait until we are more settled... but I can't wait to see Joe as a dad.
it was quite a shock to me when I became a parent (granted, I had major health issues along with the health issues of the child...)! Glad I'm a mama, though!
chic? what was the last big puzzle?
School is school. Boring and somewhat frusterating. hehe. But almost over.
How old were you when you had your first?
yesterday's was 262; I didn't finish...
why isn't "satan" a valid word?
One of my favorite things about being a new parent has been seeing my husband with my daughter. He is so very sweet, and so very adorable with her. I love watching him hold her while he's playing video games, explaining things to her, he reads to her a lot, too. I never imagined him so very interactive, and I'm glad he is.
lol. Proper name?
The eldest surving child is now 13 -- I was about 26. the second child was 26 months later, smaller and healthier (both of us) and easier temperament.
See, EXACTLY Meg. That's what I can't wait for. He's scared though... but I totally know he'll be great at it.
i keep a pic of my grandmother holding my dad at three months, and one of Tom holding our younger at the same age on my desk. Fortunately, my Tom is a gentle, loving person and the children have always been a delight to him.
13. What a fun age. lol. I've been lucky enough to have younger brothers who were substancially younger... hehe.
well Holly, then you'll be more prepared than we were for all the preteen and teen angst! :-)
I think its important to be sure you are both ready, but once you decide you're on board together, I recommend not putting it off. My friend was 20 when she had her first baby, and though I was nowhere near ready for a baby when I was 20, she did very well for her family, and now has another kid, too. I am 27, and I wasn't ready until around the time I got married (at 25). My husband wavered for a bit, then he decided he was ready to try. We never got a chance to really try, though. Two weeks after we made the decision to try, I was pregnant.
hehe. Yeah, I just got married... at the end of 2005.. and I think Joe is just scared because he didn't have the greatest dad in the world... but yes. We're waiting until I'm done with school... so...
ditto what Knutmeg said... and know that your own experience will be different from everyone else's even as many things are the same.
I have a slightly personal question though... were you... or had you been... on any kind of bc..?
452 words? I thought yesterday was big.
yes, and it can fail -- no matter what you use. I can't take the hormones any more, but had a failure once on them as well.
That was my husband's hang-up, too, Holly. His father was very much a bad example (hasn't spoken to him in nearly 20 years), and his next stepfather was just as bad. His current stepfather is a wonderful man, though. My husband just turned 32, and I think getting into the 30's had him reflecting on being a father and having kids, which led him to deciding it was time to start having them.
I've been on depo... had been. I've been off for a bit now... but I'm concerned that it will be a while...
Holly-- I was on the pill and was literally pregnant right after I went off it. Unfortunately, I don't know much about other forms of BC, though.
Holly: it may. My doctor told me at least three months is a reasonable time (though I was on the Pill so it is a different mechanism of delivery) On the other hand, if you do get pregnant right after going off BC, you have a higher chance of twins :)
i would check with a doc or planned parenthood to see how long depo takes to wear off...
lol. Do not speak such words. I'm only having one kid. Ever. Two at once would be God smiting me. hehe.
I would love to have twins! If I do actually have 'em, my husband will blame me I'm sure, saying I found out some secret method to bring it about :)
h8/45
and h9/60
yippee!! 200 words! i'll stop when I am halfway... waiting for laundry to go in the dryer anyway.
Right as I (finally) hit 100 words!! I'll be happy to get another 52 words before I quit. Need to sleep at some point.
sleep knutmeg? if you want to sleep, should do it now while Liv is cooperating! :-D
not all that sleepy, oddly. I feel the brick wall coming up on me though. If I try to sleep when I'm not sleepy, it really doesn't work.
Plus... really big babble puzzle... must...find...words... :-)
boy, do i know that feeling! still, sometimes I would like down just for the novelty of it! LOL
*meant lie down* who's ti***?
Corps, look for an H10 to go with your other H-biggies ;)
Not I said the fly
washington =-0........................... .........
oh -- you just reminded me of one of our family traditions (all sides): reading mother goose rhymes to the babies from day 1 -- reciting little ditties and singing songs and hand plays to go with them. a very lovely and comforting way to introduce literature and music!
I don't know the hand movements, but both Seth (my husband) and I sing to her constantly. She loves the sound of music, too. If I'm not watching TV or talking, I put my iTunes on. Sometimes rock, sometimes classical, sometimes kids songs. It really helps keep her calm.
good for you! there are some great books out there ("wee sing" series for example) that include hand movements when appropriate.
I'll look those up. :-) We already signed Liv up for a book club, one of the things Seth and I really agree on is music and literature is very important. :-)
knutmeg, what a cute baby! if you ever go to ebay, check out my ebay store, I sell baby stuff. :-)
Oh! IN10!
Thanks Hyper! Don't ebay much, but I'll check you out. Same name?
my favorite periodical for the "itty bitty" child is "Baby Bug" a board-book magazine with great pictures, poems and such for kids 3 and under. It's the same folks who publish Cricket magazine...
good for you, knutmeg! still looking for that one, myself!
no, here's a link: http://stores.ebay.com/P eppy-chan_W0QQsspagenameZMEQ3a FQ3aSTQQtZkm
or ebay ID: soehendra
I'd like to get the Z's out of the way.. I already have Z6... anyone have the other?

thank you renfield and hyperstitch!
(cough cough) yw stid....8-)
no prob, anybody have clues for the 11 letter words. Not that i'm done w/ the 9 and 10's. :-)
Oh! Hey... lookit that! Thanks both!
renfield -- are you sipping warm tea while you play? it's not just the liquid in your system, you know -- the steam also helps with the congestion...
ummmm...i have water.....and cold tea....
well, I can't make you warm tea, so (((hug)))

did you just stumble atalante????
this is going to take all day...
sherb!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
how can anyone resist 11 letter words!
it's probably an re
Not sure if we're bothering to catalog 8's, but I just found an A8 that hasn't been metioned..
70 Rs. that scares me .... wonder how many are REs!
I *hate* re's!
rennie!! :D :D :D :D :D ...you must have been working hard lately... haven't seen you for days...

get your valium here...
bad news Ren :( ...hope you feel better soon... morning hannah lou, hi HyperStitch...
STIDMAMA I CANT PRINT THEM OF BUT IVEGOT 176 WITHOUT THEM
thanks sherb..the antibiotics are already working....
wow! way to go hannah lou! I've managed a little more than that, with help from the log only... (but fading fast)
LOL THANX STIDMAMA
good on you, hannah... I'm afraid it's the list for me today... and I see there's a word worth 126 points!!
okay, I have 233 words -- just more than halfway. falling asleep at the keyboard, so will say good night to all! if i don't see you again before Monday, have a lovely holiday weekend everyone!
bye stidmama!
goodnight stidmama... and have a great weekend yourself :D
urgh, I just found re11/96 ... only to flip to stats and discover there's another one :/
happy skiing stid
anybody have a clue for or 11/96?
Okay, Its time for me to hit the sack, too. My brain is fizzling fast. G'night all!
ni** knutmeg
sorry Baron, still on the V's... nite Knut with a K... :D
or 11/96 ... most normal/usual
oooh, I like the V's... and it helps to know the story of Ali Baba... :D
woohoo! thanks trishtrash, got the 8, 9, and 10 letters trying to get to the 11 one! sweet!
yw, Hyperstitch :)
test
trishtrash, is your babble icon a character from the sandman comics?
Yes, it is Hyper... not many people know him, nice to meet another fan (?)
yes, a fan. is that a comic cover? one of the anime version of dream? i almost thought he looks like his sis there. :-) you know, the grim reaper.
Morning dear gang :)
hey there sprite!
'bout time you showed up :) Quite a challenge on our hands today...
Morning Sprite :) Hyper - it's the Chibi version, taken from a single panel in 'fables & reflections' collection, if I remember rightly.
morning sprite... hope you've got plenty of time today... :D
Oh my... just peeked at the stats panel. That is er..... BIG!
one of the biggest in teh last two years at least...
I remember a 600+ one that really took the whole day. But that is longer ago. This is bad enough as it is, because no, I don't have all that much time today, lol. So better start cracking...
how many words???? :O I'll be here all day!!!
it's not too bad, really... and lots of high-scoring words...
thanks trishtrash, time to start reading those sandman comics over. it's been awhile.
lots of obsure words?
not so far... just adding various endings to common words...
hard to tell - so far the mundane ones have kept me occupied
I could do with a re-read myself, Hyper - after I get around to 'Anansi Boys' of course.
I don't think I know 452 words
NO! I don't care what you say, I am NOT playing a 400+ game, yesterday was bad enough
You're quite right, ex-Wren - I won't try to persuade you this time!
But Wren, look at the grid, all lovely and fresh and beckoning .... ;)
Did you ever do a biggie, ExWren? If not, you don't know what you are missing :D It is so much fun, you will find words faster than your fingers can type them.
exwren...look at the re words!!!!
oh, come on Ex-Wren... where's your spirit?!!! ...can't let a few words put you off...
Hmz.... just found a naughty Ha6 and it isn't valid :(
Ha! Haz, I've scared you now haven't I?
Listen people - you don't realise, ex-Wren was issuing all kinds of threats to those people (me included) who persuaded her to start yesterday. There's a price on all our heads.....
i see that price haz.....
I am not scared :) Come on ExWren, you know you can do it. And we will help you :)
but we need to stick together... many hands make light work, and all that...
we are family....
Better than family
sisters...sisters....
...I've got all my sisters with me... ;)
Yes Ren, I counted the re's, 25 of the little beggers, that's convinced me.
i was waiting to see your reaction exwren!
Of course not. You dropped your Re-icon, so there is room for some of them now :)
surely if anhedonia is a word then hedonia should be too!
But sure, ex-Wren, you can hang around and watch us killing ourselves at this. That would be sweet revenge!
only 25... pah, that's nothing...
As for you Sprite, you are too clever by half, I expect you have even finished the 'S' game as well
I never finish letters in this stage, or it must be Ks :) I just have a ball typing everything I see, jumping at me from the grid. Am still chagrined by Ha6 not being valid though :P
I'm resting my RE icon for today, I thought an Easter Egg to be more appropriate. I will just look in occasionally and watch you all suffer
Ca3Fe2(SiO4)3 - learn something new every day!
LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!
and supply the chocolate exwren?
I will remember the word in the future. But never that formula.
I have to go and get coffee... and a muffin... I think I can safely say I'll see you all later... :D
it's such a pretty word, it seems like a waste to have it mean something so random for most of us
ta-ta, Sherb
thanks sherb!
Breakfast. I need breakfast. Can't put it off until after I finished, because that would mean having breakfast next night.
we'll be here :) actually, I may head to bed soon but I'll be back in the morning
I want 'atavist'.
I want "deviate"
I want oatiest
and dendron
But I found a fish :) An obvious fish. Sa7/32.
If branniest why not oatiest. I think we should be told ...
Do you realise how absolutely addicted we are? We have a 400+ grid and we ask for more words :)
i was getting a little frightened there sprite.....
no, we're just asking for the words we see rather than having to cope with the words we can't see :)
yes .... thats quite disturbing
great, when i finally reached my highest score EVER, i still need to find more than 300 words!
Hyper, but that means you are CLOSE! ;)
right.. :-) thanks for the fish clue!!
you know its a good grid when there's a LotR character in there
True Atalante :D
but is it a "valid word"?
yup!
Hardly ever, but it is nice to have them there to support us :)
Yay! I have knocked out the A's.
And you worked from the bottom up???
sadly no - i've been jumping around a lot. thought i'd try to get the vowel words out of the way since i hate those mostest
must go to imdb.com now... thanks atalante... ;-)
I must say, vowel words are always hard. Not as hard as K-words though. And there is NO K in this grid :D :D :D
I love K words. an affinity for them. especially klaxon.
You are the only K-word I love.
what about krokodile?
aw, what a sweetie. but how can you dislike klaxon?
Because it starts with a K. Where I want to see a C. Makes my brain go numb.
and kestrel..and kicky
and kakao
I can live with kicky. That has a nice look.
and kakapo! I love that word!
see, K's aren't that bad... not nearly as bad as vowels, anyway!
I started from the bottom up and am already stuck on the vi 9/102 and vi 10/126 Any clues on how to attack those?
Build on the vi6/42, Merk
type in all possible directions till babble accepts the word on your list. :-)
they're related to a vi6 - clues posted earlier about a VIP in a sultan's palace etc.
Thanx oodles. i got them. it was just too eary for me to think of vi 6 first. I had it, but didn't use it. Duh!
Too eary. Do you realise that puts a very intesting picture in my head? lol
off to bed i go. thanks for all the clues, babblers...
'night, Hyper
i just put anansi boys on my wish list, trishtrash..
hmmm I cant decide what to have for breakfast
If you get to read it first, let me know what you think!
will do, trishtrash... darn, it's so hard to leave the grid... must resist...
do 7/32, or 8/45, sa 7/32, st 7/32
Ok, I've finished the vowels and my laptop is running out of juice (and I've been running on fumes for the last hour). Be back in the (later) morning! {{hugs}} to all..
bye Krys!
Okay, 200 words left to find seems like a good place to break. If I don't see you all before, have a wonderful Easter (or long weekend, however you look at it) ... and leave lotsa clues ;)
127 words - that's a lot for me. I almost feel smart.
Lol shortie. You play babble. You ARE smart. :) I love the Or11 :) Must be the utmost common word we ever had.
LOL sprite :)
You lost me, sorry
Last part of my post was a clue ;)
Are there clues for the or word? I don't have it yet...
oh!
that was great! Thanks!
A bit too obscure maybe, but I couldn't resist. ;)
just when I was beginning to feel smart
Hold on to that feeling, it will get you there. Think of words that mean common and work from there.
brain is fried, goodnight everyone
Night Shortie!
What's a clue for the other 11, or does anyone have it?
Re11/96, just found it. Like when you get heat waves from something again. There are a verb 9 and 10 that lead to it.
452 words??? are you kidding me??? hello and good morning/good day.
Hi cliffopa, no, we're not. This is serious business, lol.
i had heard a rumor about 400+ grids. wasn't sure they really existed. i had better get busy!
We had a 600+ once. So in a way we could call this a moderate one :)
do 7/32, or 8/45, sa 7/32, st 7/32, re 7/28 st 8/45
You're tackling huge words and I'm stuck on a stupid te 4/4 that is near the top. Any suggestions. I have the droplet when you cry and the sea bird. There is something before or after the drop.
The biggest puzzle I've found in the Archives was 511 words on July 20, 2005.
i wish it were saturday :(
dont you have the day off today?
Does anyone have a clue for te 4/4 near the top? Please?
re 8/50
i actually have to go in early and stay late because i took mon, tues, wed off to be with my son before he went off to the airforce
Sorry Merk, I'm looking!!!
oh urf :( poor you!
There's a te4/4 relating to bottle feeding
Or udders come to think of it...
Merk, I have the drop and the bird, and the other Te4s aren't coming from the top, sorry.
Thanx Haz. I looked for that and couldn't find it. Duh!
My husbands a large animal vet so we know about such things!
But that isn't coming from the top.
I think Merk meant the top of the list.
any hin't for the 2nd 11 please? I have the heat one.
He 8, 9 and 10: start with pain in the back.
Aha, that explains it. Sorry, could have helped earlier if I had understood that. Don't use the list, so I wouldn't know.
or11/96 - the most mundane anything can be
Lol Haz, see 4.25 am. GMTA :)
thanks Haz
There's a lovely ad9/60 - another superlative. Would that it applied to me.....
I like Di7/40. Aren't we all, who are playing today :)
Sprite - you say "I like Di7/40. Aren't we all, who are playing today :)" but I can't find DIMWITS in the grid - am I missing something?
Down to 19, this is going to be tough. First a coffee break, me thinks :D
Haz, I have a couple of the nice ad words but can't fiind a 9... I have a 5 and 2 6's that I think may be the root of the word you mean... or am I wrong?
Yes, Ginger, build on the skilful ad6/21
Ah, thank goodness for high school vocabulary drills. ;)
thanks again Haz :0)
You're welcome.
Holy moly!!!! Haven't had one like this in a long time. See you all later after I've made my first run through. OY!
It's quite entertaining this morning hearing everyone's reaction to the grid!
and its quite depressing when people swan around saying they have 19 words to go :P
Why, Atalante - aren't you keeping up the pace??
oh yeah. actually I have 2 words to go - well, make that 23 - well, make that 239 ...
I only have 72 words up to now!!!
You're further on than I am, anyway! I'll take a break when I get to 200.
I'm on 175.
second out, round 2... I have 67...
.....I only have 44. Ouch.
There are about a million all-time babble words that are familiar when you play a lot. They are almost all in this grid :) Yell for clues if you want them, while I am hunting for those nasty 19. They will take as long as the other 433.
The volcano is back, at least!
That's one of them, indeed :) Well, two actually.
Pluralise, Hazel, pluralise....
Heh...my eyes keep playing tricks on me. It's way too early. Where's my coffee?
oooh Hazel? is that the Haz bit of your name?
Yes - inventive of me, wasn't it?
and informative... :)
inventiveness is for finding words not names!
I'm looking for a third ad5 /12... I have to put on and to like a lot... any idea on 3rd?
Plural to ad4/5, almost horizontal entrance to a mine.
That's another word I learned from babble :)
thaks Sprite, for the hint and the new word learnt ;)
yw :D
ywis!
My all time favorite :)
Crwths shouldn't be allowed to gather around ad5/12 .
Pfui, that would be dangerous indeed.
and in the cold, it would be brrr
I was really glad for that hint yesterday, I would never have thought of that brrr.
Hiya, everyone!!!!! Well, it had to happen again eventually...... Another large grid.....
Morning, Movieman!
Hi movieman, it is big and fun, lots of nice words in here.
hi movieman :) ...it's a good day for it, raining here...
Now 3 more Ts...
The Russian royal family are well represented today.
Many vips indeed. And the Vi9/10 combo has a 8/9 combo as well, did you all got those? Just found them, lol.
the vi's are my favourites... lots of points...
And my last Ts. Not bad for a busy day ;) Can I help anyone with a clue? Points = 8592 today.
Yes, Sprite - those long vi words you just mentioned would be handy.....
Well done, Sprite! And thank you for the additional VIP's.
I'm looking for an ae6 /21, anyone got it??
The 9/10 builds on Vi6/42, also a vip. (high officer in a Muslim government, especially in the Ottoman Empire) The 8/9 on the same word minus one letter, Vi5/26.
Ae5/21 yellow fever musquito. Or the full name of evaN minus a few letters.
ae plus a word 'to eat out'
:-)
That 5 should have been a 6.
Thanx for those, Sprite..... That's boosted my score somewhat......
Good Morning all How's the puzzle today?
I'm sure I used to have an Auntie Dora. Sounds familiar.
Sheryl: big and beautiful :)
good work sprite... you're fast :)
okay just looked at the stats and it must be a typo its says 452 words, lmao
hkj, if you did not like her, you have An8 :)
I havent been able to finish a puzzle all week and today was the day that I was going to get one done, lol
Lol, Sheryl has got her job cut out for her today ;) It can be done, Sheryl, really.
you can do it, Sheryl... just jump in and have fun... :D
136 words down. At this point I would normally be jubilant. Today however, I'm just wishing I'd never started.
Do the long vi words all begin with the root 6 letter word?
Wtg Ishult! That's over a quarter done already.
mornong/afternoon all, This is waaaay too big to attempt today, but just thought I would pop in and say Hi!!!!
Eva, see 5.51 am.
Fader - morning FMitch!
Fmitch, *hug* Big perhaps, but sooooooo much fun!
202 words - taking a break.
Hi Haz and sprite. (((back at ya))) I see we are on ExWren's hit lost LOL
Eva - some begin with a shorter 5-letter version
hi FMitch... this one's fun... :)
thanks sprite! Those were driving me batty.
So, anyone care to assist moi with the two 11's.....
Went to the gym this morning instead of babbling and have to work this afternnon so strong will is going to keep me from playing :)
movieman-I would, but one of them is just too common for words(;:

OMG >.< I spent so much time looking for that OR11 last night!! how could I be so blind to it???

Thank you, Eva!!
hi M3... welcome back Knut :)
Morning Sherb, and everyone!
just got the he8/9/10 combo
Any cluez plz, Ishult?
movieman - some long worlds are rare, but the or11 is the COMMONEST word.
Oh dear! I've got rehearsal this afternoon so I'll have to come back - probably in the middle of the night. The gird's up til midnight WHICH TIME ZONE?
Wow! Is this the biggest ever?
time to go for a walk in the fog
Hi amanda, it flips over to the new grid tomorrow morning 6am GMT
6am in UK Amanda
central time, amanda
Thanx Eva, finally got it, but had to use oneacross.com in the end...
he8=you can do this to the disc in your back if you pick up something badly the 9 & 10 work off this
Ok, so that's 7am for me - should give me enough time (shudder). I just got an he8/50 - is that the one that goes with the 9 & 10?
goooooood afternooooooon, everyone!!!!!!! :-)
Thanx, ishult....

Mikey, nasty isn't it
morning MIkey... and scatty, not nasty but nice... :)

Just checking in to see who the reall Babble addicts are. I am not playing. Tag, Mickey. Just checked the Berlin temperature. You are 20 degrees F below southern Michigan. :)
lol; ok.....besides a 4 letter 'ad' word, the only other 'ad' word i've found so far is the 'ad6,21' :-P
no doubt, Inge.....no doubt :-P it's usually chilly here lately :-/

Give into the Force, faeriekae.... Resistance is Futile...

*maybe just a few* *addiction is taking over now* *trying to be strong* *getting weaker and weaker*
Just give it up, faerie, there's no ignoring it!!!!!!
Hi my name is Faeriekae and I'm an addict :(
Faerie - Babbler's Anon is elsewhere....LOL
Wrong page. *all these people are actively babbleing*
Trying to ignore Babble is like trying to ignore a cactus up the ass....LOL
Hello, my Name is Jera, & I'm a Babbleholic... Ye gods & little fishes, whatta monster today!!!
ROFL movieman!
ROFL MOVIEMAN
Jera - that's exactly what I thought when I logged on....
Woot! Only 300 Words left to find. >.<
*Jera *sprinkle*sprinkle*sprinkle* :)

I have to admit, I'm a Babbleoholic as well.... I've got to the point now where I absolutely HAVE to complete EVERY grid.....
We believe you faerie :)
"accidentally" my ar4/4
Movieman - that would be a bit too much to ignore Still laughing LOL
'accidentally', faeriekae? lol; how does one do that, accidentally? :-P
oh, wait! its not in this grid... accidentally my arse, faerie...
help.....been typing furiously, and still can't find 2 of the 3 'ad5,12' words :-/ clues please, anyone?
It was an accident. there are so many they are just jumping right off the grid at me :)
lol, ja; that's what i say too, knutmeg ;-)
Wow, arse is actually NOT a word today... will wonders never cease?
knut - LOL
derivative, invitation, vision - there, had to get them out of my system so I'll stop trying to make them work!
uh huh, faeriekae.....sure :-P
ja; really, Jera.....that *is* amazing, isn't it? :-o
I see a sexual word for a man *teehee*
horizon, invasion... is that stupid z used today?
indeed it is, jera! in a bunch of words, in fact.
faerie - that wouldn't begin with an 'h' by any chance.....
help.....been typing furiously, and still can't find 2 of the 3 'ad5,12' words :-/ clues please, anyone?
um Movieman - it might start with an h and end with a n
haven't entered it yet.
the two ad5's I have are: ad5/12: to put on and ad5/12: to love or cherish
Good to know knutmeg... I hate it when a big value word is wasted...
resisting the temptation :)
Ah - now I get it, Faerie! I tried that one too - must be hyphenated....
Oh, faerie, act your age.......LOL
whew - it's not a word.
I have an ad6/21 - meaning dextrous or deft.....
I'm sorry faerie, I was too late to save you. I have resisted, and am spending time working on my Family tree.
Faere, this is your conscience speaking. Resist. resist. Think of all the important things you can get done today if you dont play Babble.
good morning everyone!
Inge - don't discourage her.....
Hiya, bex.....
Mikey- the other ad5 is the plural of the ad4. I now have all three
lol, Inge.....and look; there's my other favourite Babble frog, bex777!!! :-D
It's nearly 1pm bex ;)
*looks stareie eyed at Inge* it's to late for me save yourself.

{{{BEX}}}
Yes, Faere I have saved myself. (Takes coffee cup and moves to living room to watch morning news). No friends here. but peace of mind. I'll check on all of you later in case someone needs to be resuscitated (not a word today is it???)

morning evan
Oh my - Max has an appt at the groomers here real shortly I've got to get cleaned up and then I'll be back. I've go too much to do today :(

I've got too much to do
hello everyone.....well....what can I say that hasn't already been said !!
452???? Ack!!!!
bbl
Welcome to your worst nightmare, karys.....
that was my thought miss tea!
i have no inclination to even attempt it...heh
ARB...the last in5 I've got is in + change the first letter of the place you would get an alcoholic drink
Maybe I'll jut pick a single letter and shoot for finishing that. If I want to work today at ALL!
only attempting this since it's Good Friday and my man will be playing golf later which should give me a good run !!!
these words aren't on the board but i learned them this morning and feel the need to share: zoea zoeal zoeas zoeae
ARB - i've got an in5/16 that means "an alloy of iron and nickel having a low coefficient of thermal expansion; used in tuning forks and measuring tapes and other instruments" If that helps...
thank you, knutmeg; appreciate you clues, as they've now helped me find the 2nd 'ad5,12' word.....but i'm still stuck on the last one.....'to put an end to'.....hmm? :-/
thanks for that blue....have them commited to memory now !
uhm, make that 'your clues' :-P
you're welcome:)
OK OK -- found the in 5/16 by monkey typing. I am at the last word -- do you hear? the very last word -- the or 11/96
gosh amandacath....will remember that too now !
ARB - or11/96 - the MOST COMMONEST
Mikey: to put on. to wear. ad + go blow your H*** minus the H
Will you Karys? I'm sure I'll forget it again immediately - or at least by the next time it's in the grid!
whooppee Finished DONE W O W Thanks one and all. Now to get back to the other world!
no no amandacath...I am really determined !!
ARB - You mean there's ANOTHER world out there?!!!!
CONGRATULATIONS ARB!!! *~*~*~*~*~*FIREWORKS*~*~*~*~ *~*~*
Good Heavens ARB...whatever time did you start ? and CONGRATUALTIONS !!!!
YAY ARB!!!
Yes. Movieman, a world with food, and children, and grandchildren!
It took me almost 5 hours -- crazy. Addiction is a most interesting phenomenon. ALong with stubborness and a lot of sitzflesh
Gooood Morning, Babble!!!
Angel - welcome!!!!!
hi Angel :)
You have *got* to be kidding! 452 words?!? Yikes!
Okay, the baby is asleep again, I'm gonna catch a few more Zzzz's while I can. Will be back later!!
how many words are in this puzzle?
looking for an ai6/18 and ai7/28... any help please?
452 shutterbug!
Shutterbug - you don't wanna know..... Oh alright, I'll tell ya......462!!!!!!!!
I think that is the biggest grid I ever saw!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oops, that should be 452 words!!!! I do lessons on how to blow gags!!!!!!
Okay can't stand it - I have to tackle this challenge. I'm going to go put the coffee on and be right back. It's rainy and I can justify sitting here. Just home my sister doesn't catch me<G>
Ginger~ ai6/18 having more air
Too late! You're sister's here and is 126 words ahead of you! But I need to go shower and get to the office.
Ginger - ai 5/10 - ai6 is comparative ai7 is superlative Just popped back for a short while - I should throw in the towel as I'm never going to finish this puzzle!
Oh my dear sweet spirits...... 452!! -- Well so much for Babbling on my unexpected day off :\ I did the 474 a few months back -- that was enough for me re:BIG grids :)
Thanx Dippnal... that helped :-)
Go for it, musicmom!! It are my day when I did the other, but it felt great to have tackled it... and even better when I finished it!! ;)
BTW, Good Morning and Well Met, my Babbly friends!!
Greetings GW, all is well with you and yours?
ach; GreyWoulf.....saw you and was reminded, so check your yahoo mail now! :-P lol
morning, GW!
Very well indeed, Fmitch --- I was asked to fill out the formal application for the job I am temping for yesterday so I may be made permanent anyday now, Seb is sleeping 6 hours at night, and we are all in good health :)
Mikey -- he's gorgeous!! Matches your deescription to a whisker! :)
that is good news GW and glad all is well with the family too. Will keep fingers crossed re the job :)
Thanks Fmitch :) Hi, Une! And (*Hugs*) for all!
I REALLY hate those vowel words........ And I still have 67 of them left to find.......
The only downside right now is that the place I work for is closed today for Good Friday so I am not getting paid -- but on the other other hand, my boss let me work extra hours the past 4 days so I didn't lose a full days pay :)
Okay. the eggs are on to boil (they should be cool enough to color by the time I finish this grid<G>), I have coffee and toast. Ready to roll!
It's about time you get here!
GW - great to hear about the job. I will keep it in my prayers.
YAY, over the 100... 101, 351 to go!!!
You may want to add some protein to the mix, musicmom -- 450+ can really take it out of you ;)
ja, isn't he, GreyWoulf'? :-)
Mikey -- are you taking on this monster?
oh, i know i won't finish this puzzle; no way, Jose! :-/
I usually have cheese mid morning GW. I'm going to give this one the old college try but won't cry if I don't finish.
really stuck on the first 'ad6,24' word.....(had the 2nd 'ad6,24' word a long time ago).....clues, please? :-/
BGL - I was hoping you wouldn't catch me. I'm going to be here for a while<G>
I didn't finish last night - left 33 words.
never mind; silly me....got it :-P
I have 145. You find the other 200 and send them to me! <G> Gotta go to the office. I wish we *closed* for Good Friday! ;)
It's worth it just for the experience whether you finish or not :) I have had my experience so I choose not to repeat it, in favor of getting necessary chores done around the house later (did I really type that? Uh oh, I think I may *gasp*.... maturing!!!)
UHM that would be contrary to your profession<G> See you later.
I'm matured all week GW. I want to PLAY!<G>
musicmom -- Then you go girl!! I never stand in the way of a friebd and their desire to play :)
I might jump on at the office. Depends on if the funeral and wedding bulletins are finished for tomorrow! THat's right, a funeral and a wedding on Easter weekend. :p Luckily Gary is *doing* them both, but I do need to attend the funeral.
ach, no; i found the 'ad6,24' word.....sill need a clue for the first 'ad6,21' word please, anyone? :-/ ( have the second 'ad6,21' word already)
ach; never mind.....found it :-P lol
its the 5/12 + r
BGL - I didn't know you had a funeral too! YIKES!!! When it rains it pours - eh? Two weeks til our trip!!!!
Gotta run - time to tread the boards. Well, the rehearsal boards... will be back late tonight, so you'll all probably have finished by then. Have fun!
bye amanda
the ad 6 ones...?
just found the ad 6 meaning "nimble"
sorry jbp - I'm working backwards.
looking for an9 and 10....and 2 7's LOL
I told you wine and ahot tub are what's getting me through the next two weeks. With a funeral, wedding and Easter this weekend and next weekend is Walk Thru the Bible (Friday night and Saturday), youth sunday and parent/youth mission trip meeting. I have a meeting every night this week... I NEED vacation! Going to the office. Be back later.
Take care. Sarah and Emalie are still sleeping so I'm enjoying my coffee in peace.
ginger UK, one of the an 7s is (think of a color wheel) not-not green
what about the other an 7? :s
that was a great clue jbp!
thanks, musicmom. I do what I can.
i still seek an ad 5 and the 1st ad 6
ad6 = past tense of the 5/12
I only have 2 one means to love and the other to put on.
jbp - love?
just got the ad 5 sounding like the thing you walk thru to get into someplace
it's that pesky ad 6/24 that's thwarting me...Hilfe!
the 6/24 is past tense of the 5/12 which means to love
past tense, jbp, past tense
I don't understand the not-not green clue!!! the third ad7 includes the french for 'right'
omG, you guys rock. .. all the ones (ad--)about how my fiance should treat me
I need the an7/36 :s
ginger - double negative means it's really the color opposite green. use the 4 letter an prefix for not
oops that's an ad6 not 7
an7 made a small picnic insect angry
Ginger UK: think of a colorwheel and how they're laid out, and what is across from what. OR... when a little insect is sleepy, it would be an_ _ _ _ _
an 7/36 robotic humanoid
thank you ilandrah! :)
:D
thanks, got it :-)
brb
still need an an8 9 and 10 (an8 /45)
If I had an aunty theodora and I was from up north I might call her...
Nowwhere Great clue lol x
I'm a Northerner so I hope I can work that one out!!!!!
Love that clue nowhere. Works for a yankee
What on earth does that mean????
Ginger - in the US the word aunt is pronounced very differently depending on whether you are from the north or the south.
*gasps* did i see that total correctly?
Welcome to the insanity TO
Sis~ how ya doing?
Yes you did, Temple -- that is why I lurking a bit and not distracting people :) I am not hunting today -- unh-uh, noway, nohow :D
I'm back....Music - I just had a Reese's for um breakfast dessert :) yummy
hanging in there. The girls are up now so it is more of a challenge. They keep talking to me:-)) I only have 383 more word to find.
ae6,21 ae6,18 ae7,28 ae8,40 any hints??
Faerie that is in honor of Sarah - she turns 12 today. Reeses are an obsession with her right now.
ae 6/18 you might do to your lawn to get air into it.
{{{GreyWoulf}}} haven't seen you in a coons age. How ya doin'?
the 8/40 is the noun of the last clue I gave you and the 7 means to have the most air
Happy Birthday to you MusicMom - your the one who gave birth LOL
ae + di4/5 ae6/18
thanks, nowherepixie... that got me a couple of 'em...
no way! i've done one of these before! just stopped by out of curiousity while filing tax return. besides - if i had this much time today i'd spend it in church...
Thanks Faerie - 12 years ago I wasn't feeling so good right now.
((**faerie**)) - doing good -- one step closer to permament status at the new job -- they had me fill out thier official application for employment yesterday And I have a three day weekend, because they are closed for Good Friday :)
YEAH GREYWOULF!!!!
lovely chapeaux, une!
GW-this is wonderful. You've been struggling long enough it's about time huh :)
thanks! :-D
I meant to say earlier to give Sarah a big hug! Remind her to send me her after birthday wish list. She should get her card today (I hope)
Une - I love your icon :)
woulf that is good news - you like this job. now woulf - will the temp agency make you pay them- or will they bill the employer?
ae6,21 means to have the most air? is this a British spelling thing?
thanks, faerie . . . my OCD has really been in high gear since I found a bunch of very old pix in my grandmother's cedar chest --have been scanning like crazy!. . . (altho this one isn't a family pic)
Good Morning GBL :) you and Music have fun this weekend....I'm not playing today....got too much to get done before church.
She says thanks. She's thinking. She needs long basketball shorts for church camp.
I'm at church "working" :)
I definitely agree that it is time I had some form of job stability in my life, faerie :) Retail was always there for me, but the hours ( and thus the pay ) weren't necessarily
OH, I get it... ae + eat fancily
Une-I've been scanning old family photos also. So much fun looking back at generations before us :)
Temple -- the company will pay the agency, and give me a raise to boot! (at least that's what everyone else has told me)
Maybe we could do some shopping when we're together (or a gift card). Tell her Uncle Josh is ready for some one-on-one at the cabin!
The de6/24 plz.....
GW-I've worked retail...it sucks for the most part. So I do understand.
That sounds good. She's says he has an unfair advantage - he's taller.
back to *lurk mode*
Not that much taller! Besides, she has youth on her side!
way cool! hey - my grid never loaded - do you think someone's trying to tell me to get moving! going up to NJ for brother's birthday dinner tonight - and trying to do taxes, bake a cake and put together an outfit! happiest of holidays to all! bye, faerie lurker!
she's laughing.
faerie, i agree . . . and it turns out that most of the cousins have never seen a lot of these pix so I'm emailing and printing like crazy as well!
Have a great weekend TO
Happy Easter, TO :)
*waves and throws purple peeps to everyone* bye all!
have a great weekend, TO!
Good morning/afternoon all.
The de6/24 plz.....
an8/40?
Hi Haz. Are you done?
BGL - are we going to do a cake for mom?
No - I'm just back after taking a break. I managed to get 202 words on the first sweep so hoping to get some more now.
I'm still work too. I don't have as many as you.
coudl i have a clue for the first ar 7/28 please?
de6/21 what the Pied Piper of Hamelin does so well!
Great clue Une.
:-D
Hadn't thought about a cake. We could do it Sunday when we all get to her hosue. With the "Reveal" as her present.
Sis are you still here? B-day cards just arrived.
re 7/32 I'm missing the one after the past tense of repeating something again, half way down the list.
an8/40?
Great clue, une, but I was looking for the de6/24.....
hahahahaa you are really funny!
Still here. Occassionally I'm tryign to amke it look like I'm working.
Yes I think Sunday would be good. I was just an angel sent to earth
Did Greg open his?
Pu-leez!
an8/40 = the opposite of posterior. the first ar7/28 anyone?
Nope he works for the state - he's not home today.
Haz, are you here. You're my chief helper. I need that re 7/32 that comes after repeating a task again in the past fense and above what a horse has to guide him.
Une - that is a great pic you have up right now - wow
Wait til you see his - Josh picked it out!
{{{Angel}}}
B - Yes???? You wanted something??? That was really polite<G>
four...hundred...... and ......fifty........twOMG!
merk, add your dr5/12
Come on in Mama the water is fine!!!!
faerie, that's my great grandfather around 1880
ar 7/28 most crafty
Great clue, une, but I was looking for the de6/24.....
LOL Mamabear
either ad6/21? or the ad9/60?
g'mornin!! at least it was until I saw how many in the grid...wowzers!!!
Une-those are photos to be charished. It is so nice that you are doing this for your family :)
Hi MAMA -- just in time for me to go unfortunately -- I just stopped by to say hi to folks I don't get to see much anymore :)
which ad6/21?
Hi EB :)
Either! I have neither
Thanks, but I started from the bottom. I'll keep the note from you.
faeriekae - did your "friend" leave????
Hi Mamabear!! Woulfie!! Long time no see!!
the ad6/21 - a+french for right
either ad6/21? or the ad9/60? the latter is the superlative of the former... clever, nimble, capable
ad5 to love a lot ad6 past tense ad6 one who loves a lot
Une - I 'second' what faerie said...I think my aunts have a lot of the family photos...I'll have to see what I can find from them!!
Also -- for those who were interested in the monster fighting kit over on Bab Anon -- I just updated the info to include the basic rationale for the items already on the list.
HI EB!!!! HI GW!!!!! I do the same thing - try and pop in and just say hi while at work. Not busy now, bored, actually - so I try and sneak babble/sudoku!!!!!
B - I start at the bottom so I don't have to scroll. The only a words are the ones that have been clued. ask me about v words and I can help<G>
merk, what happens when you dut the washing in the tumbler it dr???
Thank you! I swear I tried one of those words earlier! Darn these fingers - probably typed it incorrectly.
Is anyone out there gonna help me, or what? I need the de6/24.......
Oooo this is a good one.
Mama -- I have the day off, my company is closed for Good Friday -- thankfully, the boss let me work extra hours this week so I didn't lose a full day's pay :)
EB, it's fascinating AND frustrating, since there are pix that can no longer be identified since the folks who could identify them are no longer with us . . . a lesson for everyone--get that info while you can!! :-)
BGL - is this your first grid?? any sister of musicmom is a friend of ours!! welcome!! 8 )
sorry, movieman, don't have it
movieman - I don't have that one. Sorry. That' happens to me all the time BGL. As soon as I get the clue.... then it works.
EB - she's actually been playing longer than I have. I'm just more obsessive.
argh i still can't get it! :S
movieman - not sure I'm diving into this grid yet!! sorry, my friend!! ; (
sorry, movieman -- I am not hunting today
Well, if you are going to Babble, this should keep you busy ALL day!!!! HA!!! I don't know if I'll even start it.... too big I think... and if I print out Lickety's list, it will be at least, I don't know, like maybe a gazillion pages
No, it's not my first - actually my husband got me hooked and then I got my sister hooked. She's just the "Weirdo" that went pro - not offense to any of you other pros - I just have to needle her! :)
She's just jealous --- I did offer to pay for her to go pro too.
I got the re 7,32 What about re 8, 50?
let me get caught up here... musicmom and BGL are sisters????
Show me the $$
BGL - that's what sisters do... nice to 'meet' you... (even if I am weirdo...!!)
ad9,60?
EB - I'm not sure either - want to log off and go to the movies???
haha. I just yelled at Sarah because she keeps coming in and talking to me. I told her I was trying to talk to you. She just rolled her eyes. yes mama we are sisters
Do we get Easter cards from G&G? If so I was thinking of using that "fun money" to go pro.
mama - yup (I read back in the log a little bit) Woulfie...good luck with the job application...toes & fingers 'crossed' for you!!
See you later, folks - time to feed Kristianna and soon it will be Seb's turn :) I'm letting Kirsten sleep in this AM ;)
MAMABEAR? :-o
mama - will you take my girls so they will leave me alone so I can finish this?
That's Cool!!!!! I have one sister - that's all the family I have ... and she hasn't talked to me for 3 months now... I envy people who have family to do things with!
ad9/60 is the superlative adjective relating to the skilful ad6/21
help me, help me.....before i tear *all* my hair out!!! :-/ i'm really really stuck on 'ar7,28'.....any clues, please?
I don't know if we do or not. She sent the girls baskets from Harry and Davids.

You're a good man GW. Take care.

*hands musicmom an 'L'*
great now I can take my ritlin ( I know that is the wrong spelling)
first 'ar7,28' anyone?
I need that too Mikey
Mikey - I'm not ignorring you. I'm still looking for it.
'Ritalin', isn't it, musicmom.....i think? :-/
i need it too!
Hi MAMA, AAre you going to resist playing today? I have, I just keep looking in to gloat at their pain. Believe me, you don't want to play, I tried to stop faerie but I was too late.
Ritalin is correct! (I have a child on it!!)
You can wash my mouth out with soap if you like, but have you tried using www.morewords.com?
yes, haz, it's great!
I also need an ar5 /12
Hi ExWren... Mama & I are on a mission to wreak havoc in the chat...wanna join us??
Good idea haz. Why didn't I think of that. On a grid like today I think we need all the help we can get. I just greyed the V whoohooo!!!! 21 v words. done!
Ginger - as a former classroom teacher it can be a great help for children! I wasn't trying to be mean. Just feeling a little spazzed out today.
Ginger - there's an ar5/12 that is an Americanised spelling for romance/love
Hey Ginger - I just realized I could have spelled it right if I had replaced the V with an L instead of the A with an L. <G> Okay too silly today. Back to the grid.
Or maybe keenness in love might be a better description for ar5/12
morning, Babblers. I was using the clue about the aunt from up north..and i couldnt figure out the last part!!..i dont get the north part..arghhhhhhhhh
Yeah EB, I was going to offer a share of my Easter Egg to anyone who finishes this grid, but I think Sprite already has.
I wasn't bothered by you mentioning it musicmom, no worries :-) could do with a dose or 2 myself sometimes!
*gallops through the grid throwing hershy kisses*
lian - take the last part of aunt theodora's name. Add it to the prefix for not
That's good. After I posted I realized some people are very sensitive about it. Don't want to upset the log.
grabs a Hershy kiss as EB runs by* thanks :)
*hershey kisses*
Going out now, decided not to cook, we are going to a Fish Restaurant for a meal
hey, ExWren and GingerUK.....you've got the flag for England.....i'm impressed; i thought you'd orobably only have the Union Jack option? :-)
Just got the american spelling Haz!
ExWren...enjoy!! much better option than cooking!! Have a lovely evening!!
Glad you got it, Ginger!
BGL - still here? Mom sent Sarah flowers!
musicmom - happy birthday to Sarah!
MM..am dense this AM..got the first 8 letters..after that, I am stuck..ugh
I was quite impressed too Mikey
i'll bet, GingerUK.....lol; they can offer that, but i had to ask to get my flag? :-P
Thanks EB Lian - it is an 8 letter word. you got it.
Still here. How cool! I bet she loved that! Are ae6/21; ae7/28 and ae8/40 related? If so can I get a clue (for those before you're a smart-a**)
ach; 'butterfingers' trying to type today.....'probably', not 'orobably'.....sheesh! :-P
the ae 6/21 is ae+ what you do when you eat (di4/5) I don't have the other two but it looks like the 7 could be past tense. I'll go try it.
MM...ty, I thought it might be one of the nine, ten or eleven words..o woe is me..(really blonde today)
well kids...I'm off to do real work now...I've finished wreaking havoc in the chat *throws more hershey kisses & hugs* *exits stage left* Bye!!!!
hey...somebody giving out hurshy kisses? that's my job!
nope didn't work.
i *still* need a clue for the FIRST 'ar7,28' word....anyone, please? :-/
Morning Hurshy - where is your icon?
first AR7?
(just me hurshy...no harm meant!!) Hi & bye!!
Hurshy - that was strange. I see it now. before it just showed a little x

lol, hurshy.....and hello!

yes; there are 2 'ar7,28' words.....it's the first i'm looking for
me too!
B- the other ae7 is related to the ae5 (eagle's nest) the 6 is the plural the 7 is the superlative.
hurshy...I know!! (o.k. really leaving now!!) {{{{{{Hugs & Kisses}}}}}}}}}
yikes...i have 198 words..and still 254 to go...this is waaaaaaaaaaay too large for me...

oh my goodnesss... i know i shouldn't start, but i probably will!
EB left?? OK.... *mamabear skips through grid blowing bubbles madly - cover your keyboards everyone!!!*
good morning. I just got an H8/50 and thought I was pretty cool. Then I pulled up the stats and saw over 400 words including a 9,10, 11. Maybe I should have checked the stats before starting (rolling eyes).
you're committed now, minski!!!! *blows bubbles above minski's head and watches them break on her nose*
Just changed my icon, everyone!!!!!! You know the drill!!!!
I can't believe monkey typing is working out so well for me
100 words hahahaha
what's today's icon theme? at least I know I can accomplish that today.
Mikey.....I just found the first ar7/28.....think of a girls name beginning with 'm' and lengthen it
ooo and take off the 'm' of course !!!!
Minski - free choice
Minski - it's a free-for-all today, so just choose what the hell you like!!!!!
to start or not to start, that is the question... I have to leave in a few minutes for lunch... But I have a few minutes...
The in10 plz.....
what is the h8?
Don't have it yet, Movieman, sorry.
mmmm....movieman - your icon didn't change when I refreshed????
sasha the strongest mum in the garden is the h8
C- can you recap for me? I actually had to go do some work! Theya re setting up the Easter flowers and needed the pastor's input as to how to arrange with regard to wedding and funeral...
refresh for new icon.
gots to go dos some works.... be backs laters!!!!!! have funs!!!!!!!!
I can't think of a girls name starting with M!!!
hmmm... iron sudoku is easy today, maybe i will do that first to psych (sp?) myself up
and hello to everyone again :)
Never mind, just found that in10 (using the dictionary)....
ginger....like in the 'Sound of Music'......and just go on
I Karys :)
B- ae 6/21 - ae+what you do when you eat (di4/5) ae6/18 - what you do to the lawn to make it grow ae7/28 pl ae8 - the act of ae 6
or Hi Karys :) LOL
movieman...thats good....I did have it and couldn't think of a clue !!!
The other ae7 is the superlative of the eagle's nest.
thanks Karys!!
LOL....Hi faerie :)
yw ginger
Anybody recognise my new icon..... Refresh if you haven't already......
The H8 is related to the 2 H6/24s. It is the most of those 2 words.
Movieman - I'm afraid to ask
brb
Still can't get ae8
ae8 - add a word that means a portion of food (think wartime when food was scarce)
vi9,102?
Thanks, Haz! Somtiems I feel so dumb! :)
Thanks haz. Had to visit the bathroom.
First get the vi6 - an official in a sultan's palace. Then add a word that mean 'consumed food'
LOL Music - your as fast as I am.
In case no-one out there knows, my icon represents Bob the Skutter from Red Dwarf.....
vi9 think the grand vi6 from Alladin. add the past tense of to eat.
haz & musicmom, great vi-clues!
the 10 is the pl of the vi9 The other vi 9 is similar - take out the "e" from the middle of the word.
holy crap!! over 400 words!! What is the most words you guys have had to find?
Hey Movie man - how about that in 10?
thanx everybody :-D
There was a rumoured 511 once.
This is one of the biggest grids I've seen. I've been playing for a couple of months.
seconds out... round 3...316 words left to find...
still ned first ar7...help?
Can you beleive someone *stole* the black drape off of our cross in front of the church? BRB - I'm going to go redrape the cross with another black material.
I still can't find it either angel.
The other MM - here's something for you to google: 1. Exceeding reasonable limits; immoderate 2. Not regulated; disorderly.
for the ae8 ending think of hte song I think I'ts by the Who called "My Gen*******"
Oh my . Any chance it blew away?
Thanks movie man
would the ar 7 be the superlative of some one who paints pictures for a living?..
Minski - great clue :)
mm - You're welcome
Holy Baloney! i got it without googling. whoot!
I am brand new to the site. Boy do I feel dumb.
how many words today
ar7/28 - literally means a small ar** (opera song)
452 words !?!?!!
now you are talking my language Haz. That I can get.
Is this the biggest grid we've ever had? :o !!
there aren't usually this many words...i'm going to have to devote my entire day. wait, i do that anyway...
1j2u3d4y check out the links on the right --babblers anonymous and lickety's list. I certainly don't feel smart in this crowd, but these made me feel less dumb.
1j2u3d4y - you picked an intresting day to join us. Lots of words. Go to Angelsongs Resource page on the right side of the page and you will see the rules and also you'll find a 2 letter word list for all of today words. Happy Babbling
hi Babs!! ...biggest in a while, but I think we had 470+ at Christmas... Dr G must save them for the holidays...
I'm traumatised for you all. (I'm not playing!) :s
Please don't feel dumb! Just enjoy the game.
{{{Babbler}}}
Thanks everyone. Glad you can play and go away and come back. My 3 year old grandson needs me.
feeling dumb isn't a bad thing... i'm learning tons (of silly words, too) I think I know what monkeytyping is now. ;-)
oh that's right, Sherb, I remember. That's the last big grid I played, it hurt my shoulders too much. Are you playing today? : )
Babbler - "it" is still here I think "it" came with the Antique bedroom set that I just bought.
Faerie!! (((hugs))) so tell me!! everything ok? : )
i still need ad5/12 and ae 4/4... hints?
ahaaa. it wasn't there before?
judy (sorry, the 1, 2 etc is too complicated...) - you can leave it and come back... otherwise, I wouldn't bother... have fun! :D
haha my mind is in the gutter, but apparently babble's is not!!
second va6,27?
"it" is not afraid of me and doesn't want to leave so I'm going to let "it, her" stay I think.
Did anyone ever get the ar7/28 (not the crafty one)
this is my 3rd bout today... and I have 303 still to find...
Nope
The ad5/12 you might be looking for is the plural of ad4/5. Sounds like an order to do sums.
I have an h 9/60 - haven't looked at the lists yet, how many other 9's (or larger) are there...
va6/27 one means to mix up plural the other is the one doing the mixing up
just got to the RE's... hmmm...
she can stay if she leaves you and your stuff alone, but anymore pranks and she and the furniture goes. that's the deal, ok? : ) (tell her!)
"it" is a her because "she" played with my jewely last night. LOL
BGL - the ar7/28 - a little ar** (opera song) - resembles a character from The Borrowers
ry- far too many 12 9's, 610's, 2 11's!!
Ok - going into the bedroom now. brb
BGL - it is a little opera solo. think about the town I live close to mar***** take off the m
thanks haz
thanks.
You're welcome.
Can somebody tell me how many words today?
Babbler - done - was much more stern this time.
Faerie - you're sure it isn't the demon nephew Lucas?
k, good. stick to your word. one more prank and that furniture goes. She'll go with it.
I STILL don't have an9 and an10!!
Just the 452 words today
faerie, is all your jewellery still there, btw? check she hasn't moved anything.
Ginger - I'm working on a clue for you.
last ar5/12?
Babbler - thanks for everything. Necklaces all over this morning and nothing missing.
an9 - first three letters a common conjunction, next four letters as in 'wireless set' Finish off with most of an English beverage.
The an 10 is the plural.
I have a necklace that was my Mothers years ago and It was in a drawer but was out with earing of mine that actually match it were laying togather. LOL
Good. Mind you don't find a bracelet in the fridge! : /
I may wear them this weekend. I think she laid them out for me.
an9 - first three letters a common conjunction, next four letters as in 'wireless set' "wireless set"?
Babbler - haven't looked there. Lord only knows. My necklaces are in one drawer of my vanity and rings and braclets in another and earrings in another. but they were all over the vanity this morning.
Faerie, can you afford to replace this antique furniture? Or sell it and buy something else?
Showing my age - Marconi's invention.
ra5/12 is what I'm talking about.
Just a quick poll... How many of you think you'll be able to finish this one?
Yes I could actually probably make money on it I got a really good deal on it and it is in perfect condition so I may have to sell it if this continues.
ok, i've got that part haz (once you said Marconi) thx
if there's any advice I'm gonna give you, it's sell that furniture. Get something else and get some peace of mind.
Think I should call the person I bought it from and ask if they had this happen to them??? The person I bought it from is a relative.
Wow Haz. Thanks that is one big dumb word.
I had an antique ring once, really beautiful, but I was in agony wearing it. I think the previous owner wasn't well. So I threw it away. Hope it's gone to a good home, it wasn't good for me.
you could Faerie, see what they say. : )
That is wild.
452!! Don't know if I should start...is it horrible?
hi bunny : ) I'm not playing, just hanging out!
do it bunny! all the cool kids are doing it.
I believe I'll call and ask. Wondering if that is why she sold it to me for such a good price now.
errr, sorry babbler
lol Leslie! :D (well, I am clearly not cool! but that's ok.... I'm not proud! lol)
Babbler love your icon btw
Thanks Haz for the an9 & 10, what a word!
s'ok, Leslie, we had a 470 grid at Christmas and it nearly finished me before I finished it! : /
I've certainly never encountered it before!
thanks Faerie! I love yours too! : )
Yeah Bunny all the cool kids are doing it come on enter a word you know you want to :)
i think i was real close on that one, over 400 but i didn't make it
Well...if all the cool kids are doing it, then I must!! <----diving in.
vi 9/102 - and the frightening thing is that isn't the most points for one word on this board! scary.
it's fun bunny... :)
Faerie, she may not be as sensitive as you so she may not have experienced anything. We're all different. : )
yeah, bunny, there's that one right in the top row. it's opposite day, so it means the puzzle will be easy ;)
do it bunny do it bunny do it bunny (you didn't warn me about 16 qu words yesterday:-P)
hey everyone can someone give a clue for the ar 7/28 either one pls
Clue for the av word?
another vi 9/102 and a vi 10/126!
Babbler you could be right but she is a very spritual person and I got a sneaky feeling that she just pawned it off on me because she didn't want to deal with her anylonger.
good luck, Sherylr1961; i asked for that clue a few times :-/
Good Good Friday and Happy Pesach everyone. Haz, what was Marconi really like?
beth - I don't have it. vi9 words they are similar. Take out an e or add one depending on which one you have. There is only one 10
av5/16 - the word you see if you're posting an air mail letter - par *****
LOL
Hi Mab :)
c-shaped and hollow... oh wait, that's macaroni
LOL Hursh
hi mab :D ... Happy Pesach... Happy Easter...
hursh, please tell me you're using a list today!
Mikey - clues have been posted but here they are again ar7/28 - a little opera song (ar**) or resembling a character in The Borrowers ar7/28 - superlative adjective relating to creativity
well, Faerie, you're not gonna do too badly on it if you make some money when you sell it on, so that's not bad!! (looking on the bright side). It's just a bit inconvenient right now is all. Once it's all sorted you'll have lots of stories to tell everyone in time to come. (like I do! lol!) : )
the most points I got was for vi/10 at 126 points
not YET leslie i want to get under 100 to go at the very least before i do that
You are a stronger woman than I Hursh.
oh, then sorry, Haz1558 ; and thanks.....but i have the 'little opera song' word already, and it's a 4 letter one?
oh good, i was worried you'd be at it for all 24 hours! :)
how good is this...im sitting in a hotel lobby in istanbul....and i can still play babble..lol
hi Mab : ) Good Good Friday and Happy Pesach to you too
The opera song is indeed a 4 letter one, but it can be made smaller (Italians are very clever)
istanbul, not constanstinople?
Your right Babbler - lots of stories...I bet my Niece has some of her own to tell me. Little stinker. I can't believe she would do this knowingly though. So maybe she didn't have the experience I'm having.
BGL the only av word I have is: av + a charged electron
leaslieann..i feel a song coming on
rolin - cool, but don't you have better things to do? :D
ok; but Haz.....what i'm stuck on are the 2 (first and second) 'ar7,28' words?
wow rolin!!! that's fantastic!! :D errr, found any sticks of rock with Istanbul running through them yet? and a kissmequick hat! lol ;D
why did constanstinople get the works? that's nobody's business but the chuuuuuuuuurrrrchhhhh...
well sherb...after a morning of walking round the grand bizaar... an lovely fish lunch...a tour round the city..its time to chill
She gave you the clues Mikey.
Faerie, I should imagine she didn't. You'd have heard her stories ages ago if there were any. Start shopping!! (hey, that's not a bad task for Easter weekend, huh??) ; )
the smaller opera song is a longer word:-)) Funny huh?
The first ar7/28 - add the third vowel, the second vowel, a letter that sounds like a beverage and then a shortened form of 'thank you'
oooohh babbler....there are the funniest little hats... and as for the rock....erm no....but i did have the most evilly gorgeous chocolate dessert.....
woo hoo, got the A's done, lol
LOL your right Babbler. A good task for the weekend. And yea she would have told me and then sold it to some other unsuspecting soul.
I'm sorry to learn of your ghost, faerie. I never know what to make of them. Babbler's advice seems sensible to me. You might want to make up some kind of ritual as well, to send the poor spirit gently along.
that's a big task, good job sheryl
lol rolin!! yummmmmy..... evil chocolate..... *goes cross-eyed at the very thought*
ok, musicmom; but what i'm stuck on are 2 seven letter words.....i have the 4 letter 'opera song' hinted word :-/ and i'd assume if the first clue has the 'opera song' in it, it would have to be further up the list in alphabetical order than what i'm seeking?
turks, leslie... turks
Okay, 225 words left to find - need to take a break and get my grocery shopping done. Leave lots of clues for me! :) Be back later... Bye!
oh you're right... lol
Wrong assumption Mikey! - walk through clue is given below.
mickey you need to change the 4th letter
No take a deep breath and read Haz's most recent clue. Drop the first vowel from the end of the short word. Add the second vowel and go from there.
that's not a bad idea, Mab. Faerie, when you sell the furniture on, you could say in your mind that you wish her well, but her home is not with you.
babbler...picture this...a plastic drinking cup..*very chic..lol*...filled with a choc mousse with white cream and fresh banana and pistachio...topped with choc shavings
*swoons at rolin's post*
I will Babbler :)
last ar5?
now i am hungry.
Okay. I'm going bugeyed. Walking away for a few minutes.
oh, ok Haz and musicmom.....sorry; i'll try this again!
cool, Faerie. I'm a bit uncomfortable with the thought of you making friends with her, so the sooner the better, I reckon! Don't feel bad, if she didn't manifest herself last time, maybe she won't with the new owners. : )
ar 5 - same ending as the robotic an7/36
wow; *thank you*, Haz1558.....and musicmom!!! :-)
Relief all round!
I understand your concern Babbler...your right the sooner the better.
lol; ja, Haz.....here, that's for sure! :-) that was driving me mad.....was just about tearing all my hair out; and that would take some doing!!! :-P
gotta go pick up Max from the Groomers and I'll be back to pick up some more words and to make frozen bananas. Ask Angelsong about the frozen chocolate, nut coverd bananas....Yummmy
Mikey - what is your method for tackling babble - for instance, how many words do you find for yourself before you look at the list?
laters, Faerie! I'm gonna play sudoku now.... : D
oh; well.....i sit and type any words i can see readily first.....then i go through the list in alphabetical order, and try to find what it lists and fill them all in, Haz
if there's a better way, i'm 'all ears'?
er.....eyes?
Everyone has their own method - I tend to get as many as possible myself, then use the list. I use www.morewords.com for word lists if I'm stuck. Incidentally it took me quite a while to finish my first grid so you're doing well.
oh really, Haz? wow; i feel so inept compared to everyone else in here, who all seem able to finish every daily grid, and much faster than i ever could, too! :-/
Mikey - I felt that way too at first, but then realized that even the regulars skip grids or don't finish at times. Hang in there and just have fun!
It takes time and practice to get familiar with some of the strange words. Please don't feel inadequate - it's not a competition.
One thing I do, once I'm using the list is skip words like the ar7 if the clues have been given and I'm still not getting it. Many times going away and working another section of the grid will help me see it better when I come back. Walking completely away for a short amount of time helps too.
how many words today?
Yes, and kicking tables helps too.
thanks, Haz, for that an/10 - I wonder how you ever found it. Sorry about the Marconi comment, I knew you meant wireless (obviously).
oh i know it's not, Haz1558; but i started to feel kinda 'slow' when i'd see everyone else finishing them! :-P
452, kks
When I get stuck, I go back in the log and work on the clues I missed when I was away, which sometimes helps me find other words too. Once I finish that, then I go bck to the alphabetical work-through. I also try to monkeytype logically based on the scores of the words.
mab - the an word was found in good old morewords.com. Monkey-typing is not for me!
ja; i think i'll go kick the top of the doorframe in a minute here! :-P
Somehow I suspect that many of us who play regularly have a natural competitive spirit -even though we know it isn't a competition. Many times it is a competition against the clock or myself for me.
shutterbug, thanks a bunch
some fun words in today's grid... like the ts 7 in particular... not one I ever expected to see in a grid, but amusing - even childlike... (as is child of ts 4)
Hi. I'm just starting today. Saw the site by accident the other day, while trying to see if there were any Boggle groups/leagues in London. Anyway, let's see how I get on. What are these clues and the list I hear people talking about.
I thought the same ry. I like that word
sweet potato, if you follow the lickety's babble clues link to the right you will get a breakdown of the words by first and second letter.
Sweetpotatoboy, check out Angelsong's resource page (linked to the right) and LicketySplits page. Those are very very helpful. Good Luck and have fun!!
Welcome sweetpotato. Check out Angelsong's page at the right. It will explain everything you need to know. WARNING _ this game is addictive.
Welcome, sweetpotatoe! This game IS addictive!
Not the best day to start playing! This is a monster
morning everyone
sure is, spellit :-P a giant!!!
well, if you're not worried about finishing, it's a good day to start... you'll find LOTS of words. usually there are about 150 words, give or take, in a puzzle... today there's 452
*yawn* ...I still have 246 to find...
thanks everyone for the welcomes! well, i doubt I'll find 452 words by the end of today! I was hesitant about starting up, as I know this will be fiendishly addictive. Oh well, here goes!
no mre A's.
Dont worry, I still have 281 to find, but I have never inished a grid in my life.
Taking a break - hopefull will check back later.
bye haz. enjoy your day.
Bye Haz. Thanks.
I'm going away for a few hours. I'll talk to ya later, sis. IT's time to go to the Cross Walk (in the rain) and then to Good Friday worship. Be back about 4:00, probably.
how does the four letter word for precipitation not work?
it do... must be a glitch... try again
Have a peaceful time. Stay dry. I don't know if I'll still be here or not. Coloring eggs as soon as Hannah gets home. Ttyl
it does work Sweetpotatoboy.
Thanks hurshy. I thought that was weird.
Angel- Were you talking to me? I just got really confused...
hi everyone i'm really exited because my best friend leah is coming round for tea tomorrow :oD
hey there little wezzie, nice to see you
are you anne of green gables? :) don't set diana drunk now...
nice to see you too hurshy :o)
Hi wezzie Hurshy - i haven't heard that story in ages.
can someone give a clue for the di 7/32 either one pls
i re-re4 the anne series all the time, i love them
hi wezzie :D
phooey - I was avoiding the re word and said an he one. UGH!
a hint for 'da4,6' anyone....pretty please? ;-)
when you live on prince edward island you get pretty tired of anne of green gables though :)
can't understand this; i've 'monkeytyped' everything possible for 'da4,6' already....i think? :-/
i don't think i could!
mikey, da + that thing you **
mikey da + just ** it
oh geez, I wake up and the monster grid is still here and I *still* have hundreds of words to find - no fair!
wow; thanks, LeslieAnn! :-)
how about a clue for either di 7/32 pls
I loved the Anne books, and still do.
and thanks to you too of course, Sherylr1961, for answering.....don't know why i didn't type that, since i tried everything i could see? :-P
sheryl - journals, and makes unclean
sheryl I don't have it.
ty anyway mom
thansk Hurshy. Now I do.
hummff....wont allow the australian word for...australian language
i'm going to grab Sarah's Anne book and r4 it.
and the da4 will give you the da 6 --past tense
good morning/afternoon all
hi kate, thanks for the clue
woot! finished the A's! I have a feeling this is going to be a puzzle I don't finish... I have a friend coming over later, and I've no idea how long he is going to hang out here...
ty for the di clue still need one at the very top have the writing one and the unclean one more needed pl
brb
The Anne books were so well-written, in addition to being engaging.
clue for 'da6,27' anyone, please?
kate just gaved it at 11:09, mikey
I love Anne of Green Gables I am missing two a's--and would love a clue or two ae 6/21 an 8/45
mikey past tense of the one you just needed
54 A's today...
any clue for or 11/96?
baron the very plainest and unremarkable thing. or11
*crawls into chatroom, panting and gasping* 200... I canna take no more... must have human contact!
KatieQ the ae6 you are missing is related to your ae7/ae8 pair. the AN8 is the opposite of a NIckolodeon character. The OR11 means most typical.
or 11/96 a very strange word meaning as none-strange as possible
musicmom = my hero
oh; thank you *so* much, Sherylr1961!!!!! :-)
((((jera)))))
Thanks, musicmom... I needed that hug! I say again... ye gods & little fishes!!
clue for re11,96 please
Hello All, thanx for the or 11!
don't have the re 11 yet, hate the re's lol
need a clue for the dr 6/21 last one one the list pls and ty
re 11 -- re + a treatment for cancer
The last dr 6/21 is the plural of the word before it
Thank you ARB! Have all the 10s and 11s now...
won't take that word , tried it a bunch of times, not sure what i'm doing wrong
a hint for many of the ti's - this is a very clean and organized grid...
sheryl make sure you are using the dr5 related to the ad6
Thanks, got it :)
It follows the 9 and `0 before it from the simple verv, then the plural and then the noun
still can't find it but i will leave it and come back no use killing myself when there are soooooooooooooo many other words to find, lol
back for a few more words.
ach; why did i start this puzzle today, faeriekae? :-/
Krys! are you still here? don't you sleep? 'mornin' all! 'tag Mikey!
hello stid
wow, stidmama; what an avatar.....that woke me up!!! :-o
gonna take a break and make some lunch see you all in a little while
I was just wondering the same thing Mikey. Well at least I jumped in not anticipating a finish:-))
Morning Stid!!
ty Krys10--but I am stumped-- but many other words to look for LOL
Why did I start it Mikey. I gotta leave again in about an hour.
ja; i told myself i wasn't going to attempt the grid today, musicmom.....so what happened, i don't know? :-P
knutmeg! you too? did Liv sleep last night?
later Sheryl :) enjoy
later Sheryl!
I think hedon should be a word... but then there'd be 453 words today!
you're asking ME, faeriekae??? :-/ i'm wondering the same darned thing.....i've only been just about tearing *all* of my hair out here....and as you know, that would take some doing, too! :-P never mind; so does this puzzle, ach!
LOL Jera :)
speaking as a hedon.... ;-)
LOL Mikey :)
welcome back, stidmama :) ...still plugging away here...
Mikey, you really should leave your hair alone... have you thought about biting your fingernails, instead?
okay, time for class. bye all. slim chance i'll be back later.
bye leigh!
Bye Leigh :)
hey stid I'm finding a bowl of jelly beans on the table beside me is better than hair or nails.
ps stid- finished my first grid on wednesday. after monday night's last minute loss, it was nice. but now i'm going to be late sooo...
oooh, jelly beans! I like the banana flavored jelly bellies...
leigh, good for you from Wednesday!
hmm; why's that, stidmama? :-/ and no, yuck; fingernail biting is gross!!! :-P
Have ya'll tried the Bernie's Botts Every Flavor Beans from Harry Potter? I thought it was a joke, but they are REALLY soap and boogie flavoured. We had a good laugh when the twins broke into em'.
to arb--chag-sameach
bunny - YES my girls had some at Christmas. ICK barf flavor.
That whole series is great... the kids had lots of Harry Potter stuff in their stockings for Christmas... chocolate frogs & jelly slugs...
my friend had my kids for the day and they came home saying they had poop flavored jelly beans. I thought they were just being gross kids until my friend confirmed.
They are alittle over priced, but the kids love to feed em' to the grandparents! It is hilarious!
Okay I'm out for a while. Going to watch a movie with Sarah for her b-day.
Brown food can be very dangerous...
Have fun musicmom!
LOL
bye musicmom! happy birthday!
Mikey - do you suck at this as bad as I do?
OOOHHH, I didn't know! Happy 29th!!!
I know you suck but just how bad is it really?
well ja; probably even worse, faeriekay.....this grid doesn't taste too good, though! :-P
I don't like that taste in my mouth either
well.....let's just say i only have 75 words so far, faeriekay.....with only 377 word(s) left to find!!! :-/
Nope my b-day's not until next Friday. Today is Sarah's my oldest.
thanks anyway:-)
I'm not finding this one too bad, seems like if you find one word, ten more will follow.
Just don't pull any more hair out Mikey. Your chest will get sore after awhile.
Mikey and faeriekae -- there are a lot of words ending in -ate (it seems to me), also ies/t today... not that either of you need help! :-)
and ion....
But the thing about that BV, is you can't input them fast enough & forget half of them... maybe it's just me & my bad short-term memory...
Stid - I can use all the help I can get. Thanks.
I'm having a problem with a lag, I'll type in a few and they jump all over eacjother, so I have to start again!
Thanks Bunny - aren't you afraid this time of year?
huh....whaaat, faeriekay????? :-/ ach! *cringe* oh no, stidmama.....i only have 75 words so far; no.....i don't need help at all!!! :-P lol
I see those little hairs peaking up out of your shirt those must be the ones your pulling out LOL
definately, I live in redneckville, all the shotguns come out. Santa Clause is working on a camo suit for me....
Have you guys seen that photo of that giant bunny?? Yikes!
well folks, need to pack for my skiing weekend - i don't ski, but I keep the room ready for the fellas - so will bow out now. I have about 50% of the words, and will take a hard copy with me so I can try to get a few more over the weekend. Hope you all have a lovely holiday/weekend/day. See you for the flip to Monday's grid!
*thinks he should disappear and hide for a while* :-P
Jera - is the same one that Martha Stewart had on her show?
I'm working my way up from the bottom. I am up to the VAs. I have all of the VA4 letter words. Can someone help me with the VA5, 6s, 7, 8? Thanks.
Bye Stid, have a nice weekend!
I don't watch Martha Stewart... the bunny is 17 pounds & 3 feet long!! UberBunny!!!
Faerie, I saw one of those statuettes I was wanting, the fairy, on Ebay. I bid on it...it went over $40!!! I was so upset, it's the only on I've seen.
ja; good idea, Minski.....think i'm going to try that....i just might have a little more 'luck' that way! :-P
Refresh to see the giant bunny... brb... potty break!
Someone else started me doing it this way. For the shorter lists its a little less scrolling.
HOLY SHART!!! Is that real or some clever photo shopping?
Lord have mercy. that is the biggest rabbit I've ever seen in my life.
It's real... actually, he's 22 pounds... a German giant is the breed... HOP, HOP, HOP!!!
Talk about a thumper...
I have gotten to always starting from the bottom... much easier that way... (just throwing my 2 cents in here randomly)
Hop, Hop, Hop???? you mean..... STOMP, STOMP, STOMP!!!!!!
ok I gotta go. Happy Easter eveyone and I'll see you either Sunday evening or Monday morning.
The picture is a bit distorted to make it square for the icon, but the story is at snopes.com... just search for giant bunny
see ya faeriekae!!! Happy Easter!!!
Bye, {{{faeriekae}}}
Don't eat too many eggs. They will give you gas. Bye
Bye Faerie
I have all of the VA4 letter words. Can someone help me with the VA5, 6s, 7, 8? Thanks.
try the word for change va**** and play with it
time to eat again... back later for the last 54... :)
4 more words & I can cheat!!
va 7/40 - first four letters are like the word to change with an i instead of y + past tense of eat plural for the va 8
vi 6/42 - sounds like more of a visor, then add on the past tense of eat again and plural for the 9 & 10
MAMABEAR??? :-o
the vi 5, 8 & 9 are a build on combo the same as the last clue I gave without the "e" in it
THanks all. Done with the Vs. Still working on the Ts.
Hello All: We are on school vacation, what a puzzle to start with 2 hours and 285 words left to find, I do these large ones one letter at a time!!!
Hey speedfreak... last day of Spring Break here as well... so I get a huge honking Babble grid...
Jera: This is my First day of spring break, then when we go back only 37 days left!!! Actually this school year went by fast:)
Haven't quite gotten to the point of counting days left here, but it will happen soon! :D
ok, enough of this. I'll be back later, but life calls.
Yes, Mikey!
Mikey??? You were looking for moi?
who's got the most words? i got 91
I have 101
I just hit 100 left to find
i got 335 and some people are surely done by now
holy crap!
but I spent a few hours on this before I went to bed and now I'm back.
the symmetry with which the A's are distributed is pleasing
I have not heard anyone say done, but I haven't been paying close attention to the chat... I'm only at 238 & just now filling out my list... pretty good grid!
i bet sprite finished in the wee hours (american time)
sprite finished ....
haz seemed to know an awful lot of the words too
I'm at 221 but am watching a movie at the same time. Not really reading the log right now.
one more A, ata - can i get it before my students show up?
doh!
I think sprite is usually first of those who chat... MrP finishes early as well...
ARB finished just as I came on.
sprite said last night that she had a lot to do today - did she finish for sure? i had to go to bed before she got there...
I plan to finish... not because I'm so smart, but because I am determined & have no life, LOL
yes, sprite finished
these clues you all share are soooo helpful. thank you
stupid last A - gotta do calc now
hurshy i hadn't realzed you are a math teacher too!
we'll help you with the last A later :)
Peep! Peep! Afternoon, all. Happy Good Friday.
I'm back in the Babble again . . . This one won't help my rankings any ..
Mine either torg.
TORGONE!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not used to seeing you in daylight (let me go get my spectacles!)
Heya mamabear! The firewall developed a leak, so I'm taking advantage as long as I can ..
yeah, I was just going to ask you if you got your little hatchet and tore the sucker down!!!!
wow... a lot has changed since I've been gone! Hello everyone!
welcome back Niamh!!!!!
and what a grid for me to come back to!
Greetings, Niamh! Welcome to the madhouse!! *laughs hysterically*
I need help with two ra words- the 7/28 between the 6/21 and the 4/4, and the last ra 5/16. Anyone?????
MAMABEAR, are you still here? :-/
I am struggling with re 8/50. Is there a clue please?
Here I'm are!
Mama - did you succumb to the grid?? : )
MAMABEAR!!!!! :-D (((((hugsies)))))
No, EB, I have attached a Babble patch to my forearm and so far it is working!
re 8/50- to get firmer again
(((((((Mikey)))))))))
MAMABEAR has much more resistance than i do :-/
Mama - I'm on a conf. call (booring!!) so I thought I'd check out the chat again... ready to wreak some more havoc??
Thanx a bundle!
*mamabear gets out bubbles and skips through chat log blowing bubbles on everyone!!!!*
*gets MAMABEAR's bubbles in his hair*
You are welcome!!!!!
How many words for today's puzzle?
*dances around in the bubbles*
only 452, boatierra :-P
Mikey - I have tremendous self control.
ja, MAMABEAR; i should've exercised a little more of mine :-/
*EB follows behind sprinkling glitter*
Pops bubbles, and hands out extra Easter eggs....dyed wonderfully
MAMABEAR.....can you 'Literati' from work?
*EB stops in her tracks to admire the beautiful Easter eggs* Oh, very pretty!!
MikeyInBerlin - Good lord, that's a lot. Any words begining with Z or using it within the word?
*Struggles to see the screen with bubbles and glitter in eyes* ..
Nein, ist er zu spät - Sie sind addicted!
boatierra - per my stats (I'm not touchin' the grid...yet!)...2 words start with z
Oh, shoot, now it's the longer 're' that are a problem. re 9/60 re 11/96 re 10,77 I assume these are prefixes, suffixes, etc. Are there clues?
where did that little box come from in ???? No, Mikey, unfortunately, I can't access Lit from here .....
*whispers* Tor - it's magical glitter...it doesn't actually get in your eyes!!
Thank you!!!! I worked soooo hard on them.....
Hi All!!!!! I came by to hand out solid chocolate bunnies to everyone!!!
magical bubbles too..... when they land on you, they leave whatever color they are!!!! Torgone - look in the mirror - your nose is pink!!!!!!
Merk, re + a cancer treatment and its other forms..
re 11- a cancer patient goes back again and again to get zapped
jai - just read your profile...congrats on your little granddaughter...she is beautiful!!
MAMABEAR, you wouldn't say 'Sie sind' to me.....you'd say 'du bist' ;-)
Hi Schroe!!! (((hugs)))
EasternBlue - Thanks!
Thank you, EB- I had soooooo much to do with it!!!!!! LOL
I told you my German is rusty!!!! I should have known that - ich bin ein dumerhazel!!!!
Hi EB (((hugs))) I'm not touching this grid today, but had to wish everyone a Happy Friday!!
so .... does anyone have those two z words?
oh no, MAMABEAR; but your bubbles landed in my hair! :-/ does that mean my hair is pink now? :-P
Hi Schroeder!!!! EB and I aren't working the grid either - we are just being annoying *blows bubbles on Schroeder*
I got one - zo6/33 ..
ummm.... nope, blue!
Mama - not annoying...FESTIVE!! *sprin kles glitter*
can you clue me torg?
At that rate, Torgone, you will be done in the year of our Lord, 2010
Yes, I do- the two Z words have to do with "areas" like work z****.
zo8/65 ..
Music, zo-in the zo** plus past tense of eat zo =country
I only have 200 more words to find. On a normal day I would now be finished and dancing<G>
Oh what fun!!!! I want to play festive too!!!!
thanks torg.
Just 367 to go ..
Schroe - the more the merrier!! *glitter*glitter* glitter*glitter*glitter*glitte r*glitter*glitter*

Taking a break with 200 left... back for more later! *poof*
torg - here's the other z --- the noun form of the one we have.
Only 452 to go.....hehehe *does the not going to start dance*
*runs back into the room, scans chat to catch up*
you're welcome shorty!!!!!!
Thanks to whomever on the clues for the Z words. New words to me :)
33 words to go....should I quit?????? I've been up all night.....YAWN.....no addiction here.....
MAMABEAR, what the heck is a 'dumerhazel'? i think you mean 'Dummkopf', nicht? ;-P
*starts to hand jive for music mom*
a dumbhead?
Go jaianniah Go!!!! *stands on desk and cheers*
jaianniah, no!!!!! with only 33 more words to go out of 452, you can't quit now.....you just....can't!!!!!
ja, dumbhead!!!!! Used to say dumerhazel when I was a kid.... don't know why.
LOL Mama.
I always thought a dumerazel was a dumba**!!!!! My Mom used to say it all the time!
ja, Krys10; that's how the word/saying is :-P silly, i know; not familiar with that term?
I think it's dumer essel ..
I love German - it's so modular... just stick a bunch of smaller word together to make longer ones
.. or esel ..
JA dumb a$$... I think that was it!!!!
ja; it's not 'dummerhazel' :-P lol so i just had to tease MAMABEAR! ;-)
I think my favorite was futzgangenplatz when I was in Copenhagen... different language, I know, similar idea
mine fav is meerschweinchen I think!
fritzenguber!!!!!!
Okay - here's my gripe of the day. When the same word is in the grid two or three or four days in a row, I think I already typed it but I didn't
or gluwürmchen
interesting interpretation of umlaut u there!
glockenspiel!
will u peps please talk english !
Hey, wouldn't that 22 lb. rabbit make an intersting haasenpfeffer??????
lol, Atalante; ja, i've found that Babble doesn't like umlaute, or any other German characters.....so i type 'ae', 'oe', 'ue', and 'ss' when need be :-P and ja; torgone....it's spelled 'Esel', if you're talking about a donkey.....but otherwise, 'ass' is 'arsch' :-P
I'm a havoc wreaker today, shorty!!!! *blows bubbles on shorty*
I'm done ... Gotta run ... 48 words for my first try. I think I will come again another day. Thanks for the friendly words.
Oui, je parle le francais......LOL

zuckerschneckchen - that's another good word
lse yr vwls, trgn?
there's non 'hazel' though, MAMABEAR; it's 'Dummeresel' :-P which is like calling someone a stupid donkey! lol
I had a Dr. Chen once, but he definitely was not German.....
*glitter*glitter*glitter*
I'm left with just 40 R's and T's to fine - off to climb for a few hours, back later to finish! Thanks for the company, folks.

Bye Schroe - thanks for wreaking havoc with Mamabear & I... Happy Easter!!
lose the 2nd 'ch' though, Atalante ;-) sugar snails? :-P
shorty...they digress into foreign languages for a short time...then usually come back to English...have no fear!!
i will *never* finish this grid; so i must tear myself away from it, before i tear *all* of my hair out, i really must! :-P
*tosses jelly beans around*
the 2nd ch should be there? for teh formation of the "chen"
hi folks, what a marathon
Mikey - you could always stay & wreak havoc with us!
well, Atalante; which word are you trying to say there? lol; if you're trying to say 'sugar snails', then no; you're not pronouncing the word correctly in that case.....there is no 'ch', and no 'ch' sound there.....it's 'schnecken'
ferrari - did you FINISH???
i saw all the cancer clues for the re 9, 10, and 11, but I still can't see it. Anyone has a different clue or help? thanks
wreak havoc how, EasternBlue? hmm; it's usually me that has havoc wreaked upon him :-P lol; so i'm probably safer elsewhere! ;-)

thanks, thanks, thanks should have it now - see the light bulb?
how many babblers does it take to change a light bulb?
ja, EasternBlue; and be careful with those bubbles and gooey things and glitter.....it's likely to land on me, and really get stuck, too :-/
oooh,, we are moving on to joke mode!!! how many, hurshy??????? *mamabear settles back and waits for answer*
100 - One to turn the bulb, and 99 to give him clues ..
Mikey - I think most people will eat the jelly beans before they get stuck... 8 ) o o o o o o o o o o o o

tndaisy - 452 (no...that's not a typo!!)
452 words 2 million jelly bellies and a gazillion cream pies
oh sure, tndaisy1960.....nice easy puzzle today, only 452 words! :-D which is why some of us aren't doing it! lol
I like any of the gourmet flavored beans, but my especial faves are the Black jelly beans :)
thanks eb....ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
'Scuse me, folks, how many words today?
452 - health warning - don't start this one!

Heya mab! *ducks*
Greetings mab and torgone!
sorry, Joyce.....feels weird now, to call you by your surname! :-/
that depends ktf.... how do you feel about glitter, jelly beans, kisses, hugs, bubbles, cream pies and squirt guns?
Interesting serving style, EB - lucky I was blinking. Pie, mmmmm.....
there's gonna be some fur flying if the wolf and bear start fighting over the black jellie bellies.....
lol, ktf; well you could, but it's a pretty crazy one! :-P
lol; then i'll just stay out of the way, and keep my 'fur' on! :-/
rennie - I'm the "Easterly" bunny...there's a never-ending supply of black jelly beans!!!
evening - happy good friday all. Could i get a clue fo rthe an8/45 please
Torgone - you can duck..... so can I..... *****pump, pump, pump...*
wow, MAMABEAR; are you 'furrier' than me??? :-o
I never fight over jelly beans, ren -- so we are safe anyway ;)
an8/45 opposite of posterior
good thing easterly bunny...this is to much fun to have a rumble over the black jelly bellies!
Heya GW! *hits deck to avoid flying easter treats*
did someone say black jelly beans? My favorite! Hi everyone!
Deutsch!!!!!!!!!!!!! :-D
ok..now we have a bear, a wolf and a zebra who love the black jellie bellies

hi Deutschie!!

*thinks for a minute* and both carnivors... Maybe this wasn't such a good idea...
an8/45 - combine latin for against with woman's name - character in David Copperfield.
Hi sherb, Hi EB!
you're safe, Deutsch, I gave up Zebra for Lent.
Don't worry Deutsch -- you are safe around me :)
Thanks, mama!
thanks, haz!
You're welcome!
Mrs. Haversham? oh, that's Great Expectations.
nice bonnet, Unie :D
thanks GW! *tentatively reaches for black jelly bean* *Offers chocoloate bunny for all*
After all, there is a 14 pound turkey currently in my oven ;D
Grey Woulf, the mighty hunter!
*sings* "in my Easter bonnet...with all the frills upon it...I'll be the grandest lady in the Easter parade..."
thanks haz - great clue - chocolate frog ne one?
sherb, you must not have refreshed in awhile . . . :-)
turkey...hmmmmm wolfie...i went to a vegan seder last night..(cough cough)
Thanks, mama .. Boy, do I have egg on my face ..
.... I could write a sonnet.... about my Easter bonnet.... and 'bout the girl I'm taking to the Easter parade!!!!
Mickey!!!!!! I almost missed you down there!
dang it's a big-un today, is this our easter surprise?
in your easter bonnet..with all the frills upon it...
daren't refresh until I finish... everything goes haywire...
Yeah, NatLT, we opened a really big plastic egg and 452 words fell out, we just gotta find em!
REn -- how did they pull that off? I thought lamb was a significant part of the seder?
just finished the a's . . . jeez . . . 54 a's!!
i want the pink words.... please....
I have 4 a's, this is crazy
tofu with a pink nose??
well; that seder sounds like a good healthy one, Renny :-)
sounds pretty baaaaaaaad
what are you stuck on, NatLT? i have the a's done.....but not much more :-/
Even though I said I wasn't gonna start, there is the crazy part of my soul sitting in the corner saying "Go ahead, just one word.... just one... c'mon... you know you want to start...."
*tackles Woulfie so he won't start* resist!!!
we all know that feeling, GW!!! :-D
Lamb is somewhat controversial at Pesach seders, woulf. Not often served.
I heard that voice too, GW, I told it to shut up and got out the bubbles!!!!! OK .... who's up for cream pie dodge ball? Boys gainst the girls!!!!!!!!
oh, not stuck, I just started...it's just that there are so many thanks though Mikey
well wolf...it goes to show you never can tell - they had grilled mushroom, onions..it was interesting!
*raises hand* ready Mama!!
ppppssst....GW...... don't start .... and tonite when I get home from church, we can meet in the Lounge!!!!
we don;t have lamb....we usually have chicken
OK... girls team has me and EB...... anybody else? c'mon......... boys?
I wanna play!
chicken, me too.
OK, it's just that the couple of seders I have had the privilege of being invited to had a lamb shank as a significant presence -- I thought it had some ritual overtones :\ Remember I am the resident pagan sitting in the corner here :)
OK!!! NatLT, mab, EB and I......... BOYS??????????
mama - they appear to be to SCARED to play!!
oh - we do have the lamb shank, we just don;t have lamb to eat
bawk, bawk, bawk, bawk..... Babble Boys are CHICKEN
GW, I share your corner
that's cause they know they will be defeated
Thanks for the clarification ren :) Nope, not chicken, mama --distracted by daughter :)
*You have 0 word(s) left to find*... YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Have there been clues for the an10 and an11 ???
mama - that reminds me of the old commercial where the little kid is dressed as a chick & gets M&M's for Easter & says "bwak! bwak! thank ya Easter Bunny!"...I LOVED that ad!!
yay sherb!!! great job
Gwen, I love your icon!
There is most often a charred lamb bone on the seder plate, but lamb is not that often on the menu. Lot's of people substitute something else charred on the seder plate, like a root vegetable.
**F**I**R**E**W**O**R**K**S** for sherb!!!!!!!!!!!!
Woo Hoo Sherb!! *Hands sherb Golden Egg for finishing*
an10 is plural of an9
Gwen - there's an an9/66 and an 10 combination - is that what you're looking for?
kudos, sherb!!
brilliant sherb!!!!
thank you, thank you, thank you... *collapses in a heap on the floor...*
Congratulations, sherb!
Welcome, Une -- theres plenty of room over here :)
yes, Haz. Looks like I don't have the an9 either
just got a 10/126 - oh my
congrats sherb!!!!!!!!!!! whoo-HOOOO!!!! *^*^*^*^*^*^*^ *FIREWORKS*^*^*^*^*^*^*
good to know, GW ;-)
mmm... this floor is swimming in cream pie... yummy... :D
*tosses sherb jelly beans to fortify her after finishing the grid*
an9/66 - a most peculiar word! Start with a three letter conjunction, then four letters of ra5/12 (to do with airwaves etc) then some of the letters of a beverage that sounds like a letter
an9 - three leter word meaning 'also', plus two-letter Sun God, plus di4/4 meaning 'say' in French... what a word!!
bbl...have to finish my income tax.......8-{
*deftly catches jelly beans in mouth...*
thanks Haz and Sherb. I'll work on those.
income tax... major downer... :(
bye rennie *tosses more pink jelly beans to have while working on your taxes*
thanks easterly bunny... right sherb
forget the jellybeans, sherb what would you like to drink? Wine? choc milk? Fruit smoothie? Name it and it is yours :)
WAIT!!... I've done nothing else all day except Babble... and eat...
Sounds like a productive day to me, Sherb.
GW... knew there was something missing!!! ...a liqueur would go down very nicely just now... Cointreau please... :D
oh, and I bought this Colomba yesterday... hands round slices of Easter cake to everyone...
so, GW... did you succumb?
Here you go, sherb - one Cointreau just the way you like it ;)
*munches on Easter cake* thanks sherb!!
thanks for the cake sherb, yummmmm
not yet, Mama -- distracting daughters do have their postive side ;D
oooh, caake! Yum!
hey, GW... how many times are you going to use the "distracting daughter" card???? LOL
cheers, GW :-)
a clue for di 7/32 the second or first one
As many times as it is true, Mama!!
di7 makes something unclean
Though with the number of good clues I have seen, it is getting harder to resist :)
the 54 A's were a nasty surprise... glad I didn't see them when I started...
*throws cream pie at Woulfie so he has to clean himself off, thus delaying the entering of words*
Or di7/32 - accounts kept of daily occurences
de 6/24?
got that di 7/32 I need one higher alphabetically listed alphabetically it would be the first or second di 7/32
got the account of daily record one too
or di7/32 - first three letters as Spanish day, last four as in Helen of **** but replace the sometimes vowel with n
as7/32 anyone?
de6/24 = de + sounds like a smell, but change the second vowel
you sit as***** a horse
as7 - you sit as7 a horse...
as7/32 - describes someone's position when they are straddling a horse
Thanks EB -- that helped -- As did Kristianna pulling on my arm saying "Tuuurn off the compuuuter!!", which I am not going to do, btw -- at least not yet :)
Haz, Thank you :) That was JUST the one I needed! good clue
ooh, Unie - er, nice noustache ;)
ty :-)
ty sherb, tried that with e but... silly me
my great grandfather
*mamabear hands GW a Babble patch... here, hon, slap this on your forearm, it helped ME!!!*
You're welcome, baron.
Mamabear:-D LOLOLOL
hurshy -- how are you? It's been awhile since last we were on the grid together.
First time to 100 words. Go me.
wow... how old is the picture?
yay, first letter greyed!!!
around 1890
well done ktf!!! :D
or8/45?
can someone please give me a clue for the re 8/50
i am doing well GW - have seen your updates in the chat but haven't chatted a ton myself. good news on the job front for you!
good feeling, eh, ginger?!
woo hoo ktf!!!!
LOL, Mama -- *puts it on to humor the bear* OOOooooh, it really works!! ;D
good job, KTF
sure is !
re8/50 - to make something ha4 again...
Good to hear Hursh
Ginger - I hope it's not the "O" in the bottom left corner!! ; D
ty sherb
easternBlue... you mean I didn't do that one??? ;-)
Woot! Nice clue!
Ginger - doubtful...mama & I are only wreaking havoc in the chat log today so I haven't entered any words & it's 'grayed out' for me...
or8 = arranged in rows
peeking in from work here in a hurry. OR 8/45?
I have 3 grey now, number 4 nearly!
like a deacon is or8 take off the ed
anybody have that di 7/32 in the middle?
or8/45 = or plus noise plus past tense of ingest food ;)
There's a di 7/32 that looks like a French dress designer plus an anagram of tie?
that's the one, thanks haz!!
De rien - in keeping with the designer!
wow there are a lot of long words in this one.
noise, sherb? I don't get the noise part for your Or8/45 clue
Hi scribble!!!!!!!!! Was ist los?
noise = first three letters of table you eat at
It works GW????? hmmmm...... interesting.......
hey mamabear!!!! what did that say?
maybe we only use that word in the UK... kids are always making a ***
need: the first Or8 AFTER the OR 10. Please?
It means like... What's up? in German....
sherb - americans should know it too
Angel - google this - Arranged in regular rows, as the spots on the wings of an insect.
oh. nothing then. sorry, i dont speak german. i was just wondering....what all is on babblers anon.?
all sorts of good stuff, scribble -- in addition to the daily stats, you've got recipes and general intros by fellow babblers and the monster hunting kit and stuff!
no it doesn't, MAMABEAR; it means 'what's wrong?' auf Deutsch :-P
Well kids...all the fun & wreaking of havoc has come to an end for the "Easterly bunny".... So long for now!!!! ((((((((Hugs to all)))))))))) *runs out throwing jelly beans*
and ja; i'm back on here trying more words.....must be a glutton for punishment :-/
oh, thanks GW.
Bye EB !!
well, I finished all the a's if nothing else!
There's a lot of words, but they are hard to see.
simply put, scribble, Bab Anon is for whatever you want it to post there -- sorta like the chat log, but more permanent -- and better categorised as well ;D
i cant get any of the ae words. :(
later, EB!! (*Hug*)
bye EB :D ...I'm bailing too... nite everyone... and good luck to all who're playing :D :D :D
does babblers anon have definitions like what you all get with the stats panel?
W/O the stats posted in Babblers Anon, its tougher finish the puzzle.
G'nite sherb!! (*Hug*)
boa, lickety's babble clues to the right also has the stats
Bye sherb and EB (havoc buddy!!!) mmwaaaahahahaha I stand corrected, Mikey!!! (actually, I know that's what it means.....)
GW - is your word list still empty?
Thanks LeslieAnn.
scribble - the stats panel doesn't have definitions - you get definitions of the words by clicking on the little question mark before it.
suuure, MAMABEAR.....suuure! ;-)
omg just signed in cant believe how many words
Ja!!!!!! Das ist richtig!!!!!!
still empty, Mama ;) LA - but remember, Lickety's list is new to our toolbox. and I personally don't like it as much because BrandyJacks I can open up in a separate window and it lines up with the word list almost perfectly! Makes it easier for me to figure out what I am missing :)
evening sha
yes, sha .... we are all in shock.... here, have a jelly bean!
evening ruthy
yum thanx
ohhhhh.....i see now.....
gw, bj's stats aren't working that's why i directed people to lickety's
It's been awhile since we had one this big, sha. But it still isn't the biggest we have had :D
is anyone else having trouble with oa~~ i keep putting in a cereal used for porridge but response is not a valid word
scribble, if you are looking for definitions, Try Angelsongs Babble Page in the Friends of Babble box -- she has lots of great word resources collected together in one place including links to several definition sources.
it worked for me, janus... try refreshing the page and putting it in again
Janus...plualize your cereal and it'll work:)
I didn't know that Leslie -- the last few I have done, they were up. Is Brandyjack alright? does anyone know?
he's fine, his server isn't :)
Well at least it is something technical and not biological :)
probably 'cos there's no 'M' in this grid, janus
oh, sorry; i thought you meant the full name of the cereal! lol
There was a grid with 511 words on July 20, 2005. But this one has many more big words.
Janus; the words must all be of at least 4 letters in length
bye people! i know i cant conquer (sp?) this puzzle....but thats ok. im happy with my sudoku win. so ill see you all later!! ^*^*^*^*^*^*^*FIREWOR KS^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^* for anyone who has finished or does finish this one. :)
511?? did anyone finish it?
byyyyyeeeeeee scribble!!!!!!! *mamabear waves*
I missed the 511 -- I only started in Oct of last year -- I finished the 474 though :)
I'd put in 4 letters oa** , it worked when I refreshed the page
of course people finished it. people would always finish.
Calling it a day at 300 I think - unless I wake up in the middle of the night!
So long scribble, look forward to babbling with you again :)
well, yeah hursh, i was just wondering if anyone in here at the moment had finished it, so i could bask in their awesomeness
pppssst....GW..... you didn't answer me before.... lounging tonite? huh, huh, huh???
oh, well, like GW, i joined up in Oct, so not me
hmmm, me too, but now i can't remember where i heard about it
Actually, no one did get all the words. I think 498 was the top score. But this was amazing, considering it was before Brandyjack's and others lists!
that is pretty amazing.
Looks like a good idea, Mama -- Kirsten will probably be turning in shortly after Kristianna tonight -- whatever can I do to fill my time? *puts hand to forehead in display of gothy angst*
ohhhhh pre-list, well, then i can see
Cool!!!! (gothy angst? - love it)........ I should be home by 8:30-9... will ring ya?
anybody have what i'm really hoping is an in 8/9 combo? (btw leslie, went to list with 97 to go)
nice job, hursh! i haven't used the list yet, but have 321 to go :)
in 8/40 and 9 /54
Mama -- bedtime being 9ish I will most likely be free by 10ish -- I'll ring you when I am free :)
oh, haz, i know, i have the list now - but i need a clue :)
in8/40 - latin for between, then word meaning to join together, or male neckwear
well 10ish your time is 9ish my time - perfect!!!! Look forward to it as today has turned out to be a plethora of conundrums.
i COULD have waited longer but decided not to torment myself
Then pluralise for the 9
ty haz, my monkeys failed me that time (it was pathetic, i knew the first 5 letters...)
i have no doubt :)
It's a strange looking word - you have to force yourself to pronounce it properly.
OK then -- I have to go -- almost turkey time and I have to take out the trash :( -- I'll check in later (*Hugs for all*)
agreed haz
OK. Eat lots of turkey - it makes you tired and weakens your brain....mmmmwaaahahahahahahah a
Bye GW - there goes a sane man....
yup... no it's just us crazies...
*now*... see?
I may be many things but I have never counted sane among them ;) Bye for now, really! ;D
Hi All: Been off and on all day, doing one letter at a time I have one re left it is the re7/32 right above the re8, but still can;t get it Help please 150 words Left Yea!!

one of the sounds that makes up morse code, mikey

You're welcome.
brb

Hey all, here I am back for more, glutton for punishment that I am...
Good evening, Jera!

Hi, all, the only vi word I have is the vi6/42- help please for the others
hi everyone !!! what a simply gorgeous day ! my magnolia is in full bloom - a sight to see, over 50 years old & over 2 stories tall ! they are not very common here, so i always get lots of compliments & i accept them for mother nature :)

what about ad9/60 then
ad9 - most ad6

hurshy I don't have the ad6- clue please
hurshy, nevermind, found the ad9 thanks
ad6 - dextrous, deft
hmm, hurshy? thanks.....but, that one was a lot further up.....i mean the 2nd to last 'di4,5'.....which is also the 2nd to last word in that section?
hi hursh ! i'm getting the feeling i may be here the rest of the day, already thankful for your ad clues :)
sorry mikey, guess i'm not clear which one you need then. just monkey around, fours are easy to find.

Bravo Ruthy. That's what I do outside LeslieAnn
congrats ruthy! huge congrats today.
wtg ruthie !!!!
Congrats to ruthy!!!!
wtg ruthy!
oops, sorry, that's ruthy with a 'y' (- maybe this is why it takes me so long to babble)
Crikey. Good work!
Congrats ruthy! A magnificent accomplishment!
ty everyone
sorry peri, that's the only ae i don't have
ae+di4/5 ( to eat)
ae + eat supper
ae6/21 - add a word that means to eat out
musicmom and hurshy, thanks, that ae word has been in other puzzles and for some reason I just never seem to see it.
so, haz, is that a no on the second or 5/12? :) :)
ai6/18 and ai7/28 anyone?
even more stuff you breathe and the most stuff you breathe peri.
in8? have the one for "inside"...
thanks musicmom
Sorry hurshy - missed your post again - the second or5/12 sounds like a plea for literacy
angel - between + neck***
yay, thanks haz!
My apologies for being slow - I feel like I've been scrolling up and down forever.
lol... you know what they say, beggars can't be choosers :)
haz, how many do you have left?
an9/66 and an10/84 anyone?
It's nearly too depressing to look - I need another 121!
hey, at least it's not 287!
wow, haz, i only need 49 so it's amazing you have all the ones i need!!
ja, hurshy; they should be.....but for some reason i'm not finding it.....and think i've tried everything, as i've been 'monkey typing' every possible combo i could see? :-/
I still have 294 to find, will never complete it and won't try, just will do the best I can until I can't sit at the computer anymore
The time will come when you'll draw a blank with me!
i'll do my best, haz - how about second re 7/32?
Haz I need another 122 stick with it!!
Mikey - d plus a shorted form of 'it is'
helen..where are you located?..I am thinking about planting a magnolia tree and wondering if they are slow growers and if this climate here is warm enough!
Can I have another clue for the in8 -not the indoor one? NEck what?
will someone please help me with the an9 and an10
i don't understand the first part, musicmom, but the last part is like a bow ***
No, not there yet!
sorry mm - haz said it better - a thing men wear around their necks
last in5?
got it the first part in like in5/10 mural sports.
an9/66 - first three letters of a conjunction, first four letters of ra5/12, then part of beverage that sounds like a letter
neck t** like you t** a knot
ah, haz, if you want it, it's dress or decorate again
oh, thank you, Haz; i had that word, only i'd entered it in the wrong space, just above that! :-P so now, i need the very last one.....sheesh; i should be able to find it!!! :-/
Haz, thanks so much for the detailed clue, found the an9 and an10 ( of course there are words that I use everyday, just couldn't see them) 8)
man; still can't find it for trying.....the very last 'di' word, 'di4,10'.....and what could come after the one before that, anyhow? :-/
huh...i already had 80 words and missed something as simple as "seat"
last in5?
You're welcome, periwinkle. And Mikey - it's a good Germanic ending to the last di
scribble, while i'm sure we all had that, please remember to try not to post words :)
last two di 4's have the same pronunciation
may I have clues for the 11 letter words
Last in 5 - add the start of the word that begins the saying about the spice of life
or 11 - the most plain
oh goodness....i'm sooo sorry! i need to think before i type.... thx hurshey.
Mikey - di4/10 = a dumb person
Leslie, thanks, that or/11 is a mouthful, I actually had the or10 just couldn't figure out the end for the or11 which I should have been able to do, oh well
np by the time i find those long words i'm dizzy!
re 11 is to go through chemo again
Hi Mikey, I'm back...
way too many RE words, help please with the re9/60, re11/96 and re10/77, At least if I don't finish I will have all of the really long words
Hmmmm..Torgone. That dumb person must be me. I dont think i have the d dumb word, and I sure as heck cannot find the big in words..Have typed my butt off..AND, am getting aggravated..(poor me)
ha..it was the an word i cant find..with the conj, etc.
LesllieAnn, I know what chemo is just can't figure out the re11, does it build on the re9 which I also don't have?
most of the long RE words have to do with chemotherapy.
it's re + ra9
not chemotherapy - another cancer treatment though
if people grew up under power lines you would be worried they'd been subjected to ra9 (um i think)
the sun, heaters, light bulbs....the RA7 heat
first he8?
Gawd..now I find out there are HUGE re words..ACK I have 4371 pts..and tons of words to find yet..HOW MANY PTS are there????
found the re9, it has to do with going through another type of cancer treatment, not chemo
ja, torgone, thank you.....it's the last 'di4,5' word i'm stuck on, actually.....and i've tried *everything* :-/
thanks leslieann!
whoops, sorry
oh, sorry, CadFan, i didnt know that.
you're on the right track now, peri, play around with that a lot
Mikey - I think you have probably misplaced your di4/5's somewhere along the line. Check that you have placed them correctly.
smaller!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!
woo hoo found the re11 thanks
he8 (first) - superlative often spoken of in relation to perfume and its power.
boy o boy - neighbor asks to borrow rice, turns into 1/2 hour conversation on the rotten public school system, lol..... lian, saw your post, i'm in chicago & mine does fine - i would start with something on the larger side, just to be safe, it would probably be worth the extra $
Haz, have no idea what you are talking about re the he8
peri..ty for that inadvertent clue..i found the re word..err, well one of them..(chuckles)
lian - where are you ?
Hey Renny!! I thought you'd be jet-setting to NY soon!
lianakate, you're welcome
Okay - the first he4/6 is a body part. The adjective that relates (vaguely) to it ends in y. Make the he8 from the most ****y that a perfume can be
(cough cough)..i'm not feeling well today....i'm working on my income tax
oh yeah, i have to do that too
we'll be partners in misery leslieanne
renny, ohhhh poor thing!! is it induced by the taxes? can cough suppressants be a write off?
Haz, I found an he8/50 from your clue thanks
lol, i don't make a lot of money or own any property so mine are fairly easy!

smaller, i like your icon. is it your art work?
thanks hyperstitch!!! nope, that would mean i have artistic ability and that would be incorrect. i got it from a clip art site. microsoft, i think. lots of cool stuff there
hmmm, i don't think i know 21 words that start with v.
I'm also stuck with the Vs.
Got 8
LOL LeslieAnn! i still can't get the io's, any hint on the ending, i think i got most of the middle
I got 8 v's too
me too, aren't we a bunch of wordsmiths. my best ones are two va 6's - to have lots of different things
All the io's have the same first THREE letters
ooohhhh fireflies are my favorite thing!!!! i collect them!!! well...just stuff that looks like them. it'd be gross to collect them
aren't there a bunch of v biggies? anyone want to help us out?
got va7 and va8
In fact all the io's have the same first FOUR letters!
thanks smaller! finally someone who doesn't think of the TV show... :)
Most of the va's have the same three letter stem
i have the vi biggies may we have clues for the va biggies, firefly?
I have an re6/21 meaning something that is completed again; need the next or previous re6/21
Some of the vi words - from the vi6 (official at the sultan's palace, think Aladdin) add consumed food, then pluralise it. You can do the same construction with the vi5 which is a variation of the spelling of the said official
Leslie Ann, you can va7,8 the color blue (navy, periwinkle, baby blue, etc.)
thanks jeewhiz, i'll work on haz's clues
thanks spellit!!!!!!
smallerlarooskie!
firefly, I've seen the show once and it wasn't that bad. But yes, the only reason I watched it was b/c of the name!

101 - I'm really slow now!

i have like 255 left
I definitely won't finish - it'll be the first time in a while that I haven't but my sanity and my right hand are more important. I can feel my wrist tingling.
that one of her hot lesbo books; "ruby Fruit Jungle" was her famous one.. I like the One about the fox and hounds, the animals talked in that one too!

Hi folks. Coming in at 341 words found. Just finished typing in those found on paper throughout the day. It's a nice grid! I did 13 words at the flip when another Babbler I was talking to on MSN suddenly said, '452 words today' and I said, 'WHAAAAT???' Well, I had to sign in and have a look then, didn't I? :-)
Evening again, everyone.
bendamalina - I know what word you mean. My O/H has been making jokes about it all day. I keep trying to type 'viagra', too. Not that it's needed, if you get my drift. LOL.

My 4 yr old son told me that one the other night, only he asked me what a pirate's favorite number was. The answer was 7. I didn't get it. We figured it out though. :)

I'm at 302 and fading fast. We've had fun b-day celebrations for Sarah so I had to take time to play her new Playstation game with her (NCAA b-ball). Just kind of scooping up clues here and there. Mostly finished for the day. Not done but it sure has been fun! Did you enjoy your day off?
Hello. I'm not going to try the whole puzzle. I want to just get all the words that contain the letter Z. Could I have clues for those words? tyia
It was pretty good, mm -- did daddy things with both kids and just lazed about -- it was pretty good, though with the weather that has been moving through my area I have a bit of a headache at the mo
vi6 and the te w the lines
harpjane, there are 6 vi words that contain the 'z'. All start with the same first four letters.
vi6 - grape plants are vi**s, to be even more so. vi6 - did you get the muslim govt' leader?

Hiya Wolfie. How're the family and how's work going?
help with the di 8/45?
di8 - most filthy
the first vi6 sounds like the child who complains more and cries more.
Hi Jac! -- Family is great as always and job is going well -- I was handed the official application for employment by the place I am temping at, so I am one step closer to permanent placement :)
GW - we've had a series of storms through here this evening too. I keep unplugging the laptop so I can keep it on. Sorry to hear about the headache. We did have a beautiful afternoon good enough to play outside with the girls and grill dinner.
Gwenski, thanks for the vi clue. got it.
to finish off the v's, does anyone have a clue for the va5/16?
Wolfie. Glad to hear it. Hugs to you all.
Blimey! That an9 & plural 10 garnet was a b*gger to find!
I'm going for grey letter blocks here. How about as 5 and at 5???please??? <looking pathetic>
mm - glad you had a happy day of b-day celebrations -- and also glad to hear you have been enjoying this monster :)
va5/16: shorten the va7/8
My 'Auntie Dora' was also elusive. LOL.
Gw - it helped when I gave myself permission first off to not finish today. Much more relaxed play. I also got to chat with my sister this morning in the log so that was nice.
LOL Jac. Yep that was a good one!
That always makes it better, mm -- on both counts :)
Wolfie - It's my birthday next Saturday (22nd April). Also Earth Day, I believe. Quite fitting, since I am Taurean.
at5 - pl. of a word meaning skylighted open rectangular area, often the fancy name of a building/mall.
Hey Jac. I celebrate next Friday. I'm Taurean too.
Salutations in advance, Jac :)
thanks Jac! love those def. clues!!!
MusicMon - You share your birthday with our Queen.
My oldest's b-day was today and my husband's is Sunday. We have a busy April.
Yes I do! I always was very impressed with that info when I was a child/teen
Thanks, Wolfie. Does that mean I'm not gonna get a singing e-card??
as5: a + what you do to your coffee after adding the sugar & cream
Took a break and am back to or 11/96. Clue was given for a plain state of existence. I already used that for 10/77 so I'm still lost, more or less. :-) ??
Hey thanks Gwen. I didn't have that st either.
add a t, merk
Gwenski - not if you want to drink the coffee through the cream, you don't.:-)
Jac -- I don't send me own mum a real card for any occasion.... heck, I sometimes forget to get one for Kirsten until the last minute... and you want me to remember yours!?! I may be a gentleman, but I am also a little lazy and quite a bit forgetful when it comes to dates :D
Well, in my case, I first put in the cream (about 1/3 full) then add coffee. So, I don't need to st4!
vi 10/126 anyone?
That could explain why I like coffee ice cream so much, too!
Gwen...didn't get the coffee & cream?
Just expanding on the st4 word -- to mix together.
sorry, still not getting the va 5/16. I'm sure it's a headsmacker
Wolfie - Hate to say this of Babble's Best Gentleman but 'that is typically male'. Mind you, my O/H is good at remembering those sort of things.
wassup: if you have either the va7 or the va8, the first five letters make up the va5
oh my god there's a vi/10 126? I was going to stop looking for words. Now I must go on. Clues please?
vi 9 and 10 - vi + last letter + two letters "for example" + a good interest **** (and plural)
ok, got it gwenski. Thanks for the help! Vs are DONE. Now I just have 197 to go! :)
How bout help for te7/32?
what does "a good interest" mean?
LA you should create your own game! Please give me a simple clue?
A good interest ra** would be 4% as opposed to 18%
te7/32 - 4-element tube. Lat for 4 + a type of poem (*** on a grecian urn).
sorry gwen, that's one of the 197 I'm missing.
help: still need de6/24...please?
thanks LA and Gwen!
Nice clue, Charm! Thanks.
de6/24 - secret/sure (antiperspirant/de****ant)
3 to go...help!!! de5/12... na6/18..before man's name re5/10...before part of eye
angel, de 6/24- beginning 3 letters of your anti-perspirant + ***win theory (survival of the fittest)
de5/12 de+large mouse
de 5/12 - de + rodent
na 6/18, a country, then change i to r for the other
Have to run, folks - help hubby with silly, male electronics stuff.
Jac -- in many ways I am very much the typical male -- that is why my other qualities stand out so well ;) But I am now off to play Literati as I was smart enough to not touch this grid with an eleven and a half foot long pole :D
bye charm!
re 5/10 - to be in a foot race again
I'm stumped with the vi/126. I get the last part for the word, but not the begining. Can any one else help me see this stupid word?
Wolfie. LOL. Have fun!
I'm still missing an na 6/18 near the bottom, but it's not the one just described.
leslie...I need the one BEFORE the man's name for NA6/18
if you have the vi6 it is that plus past tense of eat pl.
did you get vi 6/42?
if you have the vi 6, that's the same beginning: vi + last letter + third vowel + second vowel + r
i don't have the man's name, those are just the two na 6/18's i have. sorry!
OK kids, 50% and not many words left in my brain, so I'm calling it a day. Thanks for all the great clues. Eyes finding scanning log v-e-r-y difficult, requesting toothpicks if I plan to continue. Sweet dreams. When does the radar start tracking the EB?! Beward of "smart pills"! G'nite.
I don't follow what you just said about the na 6/18. The man's name plus the past tense of eat????
you're mixing up two clues. first is: vi 6 - vi + last letter + third vowel + second vowel + r
di7/40?
two na 6/18s: (1) a country (2) take that na 6/18, change the i to an r
if you take that vi 6 and add the past tense of eat, you'll get vi 9. and plural - 10.
di7/40 first movie in the Bruce Willis series of action films
leslie...we are talking about the two 6/18's before the country
angel....it's a movie title, .....with a vengence.
um, those are the ones i don't have. maybe i should just keep quiet over here. sorry.
one rhymes with a military man in the USA...the other one is the one we need
Angel - di7 - think Bruce Willis movie (I think).
Leslie, there is one more 6/18 down there besides the two you described, the country and spelling change for it. There's one more we can't find.
help w vi6 please
Please - a clue for the da6/27.
Thank you, thank you!!! I got it! Thanks for the great clues!
vi one who grows grapes?
past tense of the da4/6 da+I'm going to d* the grid tomorrow too
da6/27 past tense of da4 right above it
Da6- wood joiners term for an even groove
da6 - thanks for all the great clues - not one of my everyday words :)
ar7/28 (1st one), please?
I didn't have the vi6/42. I have it now. I wish i could stop playing. There's so may more words to find.
ar7 a small opera solo.
I have one to go...the na6/18 prior to the country...plz helppppppppppp
I don't have it either Ouw. good night everyone. I'm going to bed. 309 words --- I consider it a valiant effort!
it is musicmom! good night!
i don't have the vi6 to get the 9 and 10?
Thanks, MusicMon! Got that now. Sounds a bit like the daughter's name in Mary Norton's book (or the film, if you prefer) of The Borrowers.
g'nite mm--was lurking in shadows watching clues pop up. gotta go for sure now!
MusicMom - thanks for the great clues. Sleep well.x
merk...let's both monkey type till it shows up...then let the other one know
Done Done Done Done Done Done Done Done Done Done Done Done Done Done Done Done Done Done Done Done Done Done Done Done Done Done Done Done Done Done. Me mum was my savior. Yay Teamwork!!

Xena (warrior princess?) - you can stop playing... You click on 'log out' and then you go down to the left hand side of your monitor and press 'Start' and then you press the red icon that reads 'Turn off computer'. LOL.
jai, are you done too or celebrating for knutmeg?
*~*~*~*~~*~*FIREWORKS~*~*~*~*~ *~* For me mum. Is it fair to give each other fireworks when we finish together???
stoningtoncat: Look at leslieann's clue 9:51 pm for th vi
*~*~*~*~*FIREWORKS FOR THE FINISHERS*~*~*~*~*~
I AM DONE
most definitely, knutmeg. then you guys can do the dance of doneness together.
hooray for jai!!
Jai is gonna hang and help wtih clues, I've gotta feed Liv and give her some attention, I'll be back before the flip to help with the last minute runs. Good Luck!
bye knut (and liv)!
That sounded wrong... hopefully y'all get the gist. :-) Be back in a bit!!
jacula: Thanks, I'm calling it a night. Got to go to work in the a.m. goodnight .
That dance of doneness is going to turn into a disco if many more finish soon. Still got 81 words to find here. *sigh* I do wish those 8592 points for finishing weren't so appealing. LOL.
finally got the vi6...need help w vi9 and10
goodnight xena
How about help for the other na6/18? Not the one that rhymes with USMC, and not the last two.
'Bye Xena. Have a good day.
knutmeg...only one I am missing is the NA6/18 prior to the country and not the one sounding like a military man...plz help...I need the sleep
vi9=take that vi 6 and add the past tense of eat, you'll get vi 9. and plural - 10.
what do the 11 letter words start with?
do 6/21 ?
re 11 (re + ra9) and or 11 (the most plain), kimber
the 11's are re and or
The 11-letter word is an 're'.
do6/21...to give money to the poor
this is the biggest grid I've ever tried. I need just 86 more words, so I guess I haven't done too badly...
i know of two 11 letter words: re and or
PUT NA**** TOGETHER WITH*****TRON RATINGS.....
also do 6/21 plural of nemo's friend
do6/21 - give something to charity.
sorry, i have that one, didn't realize there were two. the other do 6/21?
thank you 126 is the most i ever got
that was the one! Thanks LeslieAnn
PLURAL OF LITTLE BOATS.....
yeah 126 is the most ive gotten too.
jai...I have that one...need the one before the country...not the one after it
di5 just after the di8/45?
angel....plural of soil
RHYMES WITH PATES.....
Angel - plural of di4/5 (muck).
ahhh done with the re's... a victory in itself
hmm, i have ra/8 but not the 9- any clues?
ill be satisfied if i could get 4 more words......Clues for some of the ae words please? i have none.
jai...there are 2 na6/18's in between the na7/32 and the one that ryhmes with PATES...I need the one that is not the military man
scribble, three have to do with something you do to your lawn
also ae**plane
SIX OF THE AE WORDS HAVE TO DO WITH AIR...THREE WITH NESTS AND THREE WITH GIVING AIR
wow thanks LeslieAnn and Jai!! Ive gotten three of them.
make that 4...
NEWLY BORN (+ A SMALL INSECT)
jai...TY, I finally got it...was looking at the wrong NA
THIS IS SO FUN!!!!!!!
im going to retire with 102 words.... thanks for all the help!! see ya at the flip!
uh jai, you overdose on the coffee and cream earlier? ;)
good night scribble!
SORRY....CAPS LOCK IS LOCKED AND ANYWAY, I FEEL LIKE SCREAMING!!!!!!!
i can see how finishing a 452-er would do that ;)
kimber: ra9 is a type of cancer treatment, not chemo.
Just found the first di4/6. I keep forgetting that she's a grid visitor. Elissa, princess of Tyre, who founded and therefore became Queen of Carthage. Aeneas was her lover but she loved him to death, causing him to actually commit suicide, or so goes the Greek legend. Her name was taken up by a modern recording star who has sung songs like 'Life For Rent' and 'See You When You're 40'.
thanks so much, i wasn't getting that ending
can anyone give me a clue for the an 8/45?
Cliffopa. I mentioned my Auntie Dora earlier!;)
so, cliff, it would be someone who hates jac's aunt
jacs, this is the first mammoth grid I've ever tried...biggest to date I mean. I am lacking just 85 words to finish. What do you think?
an 8/45 against in latin + short girl's name beginning with do
thanks jac and leslie ann. only 19 to go. all di's. anyone have some of the longer ones?
Angel - I have 76 words still to find and I think WE CAN DO IT!
Everyone join me in prayer for a small grid at the flip. Under 100 would be fantastic!
Lol, LeslieAnn - I have an Auntie Dot in reality.
have all of 'em, cliff! di 8/45, the most messy, minus last letter for 7
one of the di's was a movie starring Bruce Willis...it's true!!!!
and i wish her no ill will, jac ;)
jai you crack me up
also a wacky 7: di + 4th vowel + misspelling of the opposite of left
Wassup - I don't mind another big grid tomorrow, as long as it doesn't intrude on the barbecue planned (weather permitting) for the evening meal. I'd like a 200 or so word grid for Sunday though, as I have guests for dinner that day. No, not meaning I eat guests! I just provide them with food and company. LOL.
Jai - Thanks for that Bruce Willis clue, I got it straight off.
I need to get stuff done tomorrow, but the babble virus has hit me hard! I can't stop babbling! My husband thinks I'm crazy & I got my mom hooked too. Now she's mad at me. :) Not really, she loves it.
ahh, you're one of us now, wassup :)
I crack me up, too....LOLOL Have to shower....see you at the flip.....
Wassup - Did no one warn you when you first signed up? Did you ignore the warnings? Or are you just a teeny bit mad like the rest of us? Welcome to Babbleonia!
bye jai!
50 to go... i see a glimmer...
in 8/40 please
I'm definitely a bit nuts anyway, but no one warned me! My friend just started a grid on my laptop and handed it to me. She's the reason for my house being dirty, my laundry piling up and my kids not getting my attention. In fact, my daughter is talking to me right now and I'm ignoring her in the name of babble.
merk, there's two: one means inside, the other is in 5/10 + bow *** pasta
Do you have a clue for the 10/77 with 'in' ?
Wassup - You've got it bad and that friend of yours should have warned you!
That's what I'm talking about Jacula.
someone clued earlier that today we are spending an in 10/77 amount of time on our computers
You folks are precious. Thank you!
anyone got a clue for the av?
Thanks, LeslieAnn. Brilliant clue! I hadn't got that one until I read what you said.
rhymes with a brand of water
done. done. done.
av5 - French for plane. You see it on airmail stickers, 'par av***'.
hooray cliffopa!!
WELL DONE, Cliffopa.
thanks to jac and leslieann for helping me finish! good riddance to that puzzle! nite all.
g'night, Cliffopa.
g'night cliff
he 10/77 does not seem to be related to the four words above it dealing with a medical condition. Any clue please?
sorry merk, that's the only 10 i don't have
thx for the av. got it finally.
oh woot! got it. it is related. the med. term + the four-letter ending of ra 9/60
merk - he4/5 + personal pronoun + the na6 word for 'country'.
Erm - I mucked up that last clue, didn't I? Anyway, it is a way of saying that painful thing that can happen to 'inner tubes'.
lol jacula, i was thinking, 'what do pools have to do with this?'
well, i'm finally done - what a killer! anyone need any clues?
Jacula, I tried that and it won't accept it. Maybe I have the personal pronoun incorrect.
hooray helen!
Yes, I'm doing something wrong. The way I spelled it, it had only nine letters
merk - think not his but he*s (drop s) + country, add an i in between n and a
LeslieAnn - speaking of pools reminds me of a clue from the charity quiz we've been helping my Mum with today. All the answers are the names of UK cities, towns or villages... Try this one for size (I'll give you the answer, if you don't get it in a bit): 'Offal snooker'.
jac i'm a stupid american all i know is london!
Well done, HelenK.
if no one needs any help, then i'm off for some relaxing sudoku, :)
although if we're talking about pools i imagine it would be liverpool? (although i don't know why)
thx - i feel like i put in a hard day's labor
LeslieAnn - not stupid, surely? You must at least have heard of Stratford as well? I know if I mention Birmingham, you'll think of Alabama. But you surely must know at least some of the main cities from the UK?
Leslie - CORRECT, re Liverpool.
Jacula, I have been up for 19 hours and cannot think. You are talking about a masculine pronoun dropping the s. But that's what the word starts with. And then add a letter between the n and the a.
if you said some, i would probably be like, oh yeah, i've heard of that before, but i probably couldn't come up with many on my own
See! You're not 'thick' at all! Try another from that quiz - 'Murky water'. (Think illuminations and seaside resort, and tower!)
Wait don't leave. I have one more with a problem.
sorry, merk, that was my clue. the first six letters ARE the medical condition
Merk - I've been up for 20 hours.
jac i don't even understand the offal snooker thing, i just guessed liverpool cause we were talking about pools!!
What clue are you seeking, Merk?
Good grief. I am tired. Now I get it. I am working bottom to top. Are there any killers yet above the he list?
there's some nasty a's
Leslie - offal is liver and lights (nasty inside bits) from animals. So, 'offal' = Liver and 'snooker' = pool.
Maybe the an 10/84 and the ad 9/60?
So I just spent, like, the last fifteen minutes on the puzzle...and then it lost all my answers so far! So much for trying to see what I could do in only an hour tonight. :-(
jfarber that's awful! nothing happens when you refresh?
Mwerk - if you have an 9/66 then you can get the 10, since it is the plural.
jfarber - press F5!
ad9/60 - the most ad6/21.
refresh, refresh..nothing. Oh...okay, here it is. PHEW.
See, jf, we told ya! LOL.
an 10/84 = an + 4th consonant + gilda ***ner + opp. of day less the n and then pluralize
Thanks Helen!
Serves me right trying a 452 word one but starting at midnight my time.
jfarber - are you in UK?
Helen, I am doing something wrong. It's ten letters, but it won't accept. The opposite of day is four letters, but then drop the n.
with such an overt clue helen, i'm such a dolt, i still can't manage it...
don't drop the n, replace it with a d
Oh 4th letter, not fourth consonant. Thanx. Relief!
that's right merk
nevermind. thanks helen. it took me 1000 goes...
eek, that's part of her clue. disregard me.
my bad merk, sorry
lol leslie - fresh air gone to our heads
i think it's 16 left that's going to my head!
you CAN do it!!!
54 words left to find here and just b*ggering off and curling up next to my O/H is looking more appealing...
34 more . . . arrgghh!!
how many words total are there?
Good evening again, folks! I'm back until the baby wakes up again (so I should be good for another two hours at least.) Anyone need a clue?
452, Miss Erica
He will have got the bed nice and warm by now.. trouble is, if I go up there after a long Babble he is certain I have sat in the freezer naked for at least 10 mins before I've cuddled him. This causes him to leap out of bed and leave me bereft of his warmth!:-((((((
thank you
lol jac
re 9, 10, 11??
Oh, I washed that game right outa my hair....oho, I washed that game right outa my hair.....SHE'S BACK!!!!!!!!
TONGIHT'S STATS ( with thanks to BJ!): Words Total = 452 --- --- Total Score = 8592 --- --- Word Sizes --- 4 - 135 5 - 126 6 - 87 7 - 55 8 - 29 9 - 12 10 - 6 11 - 2 --- 1st Letter Count --- A - 54 D - 66 E - 21 H - 29 I - 26 N - 35 O - 15 R - 70 S - 50 T - 63 V - 21 Z - 2
re 9,10,11 = re+ ra8,9,10 Or giving a cancer treatment again
ooh are his stats back up?
I think my fingers are numb! THat was a really long one. evening, all
Good evening, Artlady!
Yup! BJ's back in business. But don't take anything away from Lickety, as his stats are also most useful.
artlady did you finish? congrats!
Might as well wait for the flip now... :-)
bless you, knutmeg!!!!
I finished, but with LOTS of crutches...staggered over the finish line...
You're welcome, Une :-)
ok, done with sudoku, who needs help???
Bj's were the first ones I used back a while...just discovered Lickity's. It's amazing how this simple little game has spawned all these support sites!
bless you, knutmeg!!!!!!!!!
Sudoku was too easy. I'm hoping for a harder one at flip
I know, complain, complain... ;-)
art - after this puzzle. i'm glad it was an easy one!
Hi, Mum... Liv did *not* want to fall asleep. That's twice today she fought sleeping. Maybe I'll get another night with 5 hours of sleeping LIv?
kevetch, kevetch, kevetch!!!
True, hk. I looked at the sudoku first and then decided to babble on paper today.
in10?
Hi ren!
This will be only my second flip. I'm usually sound asleep by now.
I have an in10 amount of frogs... Or In + or8/45
in 10 excessive amount...
There ia an in10 amount of talking going on.......
thanks!!
you have a frog problem, knut?
Frog obsession is more like it. Or rather, my friends and family are obsessed with buying me frog things because I find them very cute and it makes me happy.
She is addicted to collecting them....Livvie even has them on her jammies!!!!! tee hee
I honestly haven't bought anything frog-like since before I got married 2 years ago.
Liv now has more frogs than her (very jealous) Mom.
Ah, like my mother and dragons...I'm running out of stuff for her!
crud, i missed an n6... *jumps back into n's*
Speaking fo which, Steve brought Liv a Frog pillow today, Mum. So soft and comfy, and way too big for her right now.
Come on, LA, 19 minutes left...
A Frog pillow??? Why don't you confiscate it? (Parent tax!!!!)
done! woooo with time to spare!
Congrats, Leslie Ann!!!
WTG LESLIE !!!!!!!!
anyone need clues? unea?
*F*I*R*E*W*O*R*K*S For Leslie!!!!!!!
Because its *hers*, however it works very well for helping me with the pillow pile while I'm nursing. And happens to be very nice to lay on. So Liv and I agreed to leave it on the couch to be used there until she's big enough to use it on her own.
Congratulations, LeslieAnn!! *~*~*~*~*~*FIREWORKS*~*~*~*~ *~*
It sounds like you and Liv had a VERY rational discussion, Meg.......
re7 after re8/45?
It's so nice she's learning to share at such a young age.
re7/32 To put something on again.
re 7 to decorate again
re-decorate yourself
re + ad 5/12
I do wish to teach her some good values... and its never too young to learn to share your things... she'll be all ready when Seth and I decide to have another kid. ;-)
Uuh, huh....I love new parents...I had four and by then, I just magic-markered names on belongings. End of discussion....(They do tend to clobber each other)
HEY! I didn't clobber anyone... too much. I let them live, at least... Especially once they agreed with me...
Mine are almost 4 years apart (only have 2), boy and girl, so not too much mixing up of stuff...except Alli always wanted to play with big brother's stuff!
Hey, artlady!
tick tick tick 3
hey harp!
I was a Tomboy and LIKED boys' toys....especially the guns....
well, i got all but 15 . . . silly me, I visited with my daughter who's in town for the weekend instead of babbling :-D
My daughter and I were just talking about how much we loved Montana today
oops, we were talking today...not actually in Montana today!
FLIP!!!!!!!!!!!
Ah, my son never had any toy guns. Blame his mother...
Tick 1
B*gger and Damn! Missed completed today!
