This a good time to tell you all that I wrote Dr_God, and asked if the puzzles were made up or random, and Jamie said they were random....I came up with a grid that generates 770 words in case anyone would like to see it....
i don't know though, i think he helps them along sometimes, like when words related to our themes pop up in the grid

chic - Yes I was told that any references that look slighty devilish could lead people to believe I like to .....
Lickety you will love my inability to properly read your directions on your link. I REFRESHED my page this morning and lost everything....but after reloading was able to muddle on and finish. So now I CAREFULLY read the instructions....
bbnaz - it's amazing how people don't read things! I really shouldn't allow that stuff to be saved - it'd be too close to here!
good lickety, keeping your priorities straight

so glad the mare is better, bbnaz, I think of her every day. I know how hard it is to help an animal recover (though the biggest critter i have experience with is a dog).

good for you, knutmeg -- is your mom going to be okay? an accident like that is what started my back problems... i hope so much that she'll be okay.
I hope she will be okay, she'll call the doctor tomorrow and hopefully he'll see her to make sure she didn't screw up anything from her surgery.

Congratulations, oggy! The grid seems reasonably kind today.

hello, anyone has clues for ch 6/27, cu 7/44, cu 7/60 & cu 8? tia!
The ch's are a written form of payment & plural

Hiya, everyone!!!!!
Hi Movieman :) I'm off for a bit, see everyone later!
morning mm and all :) see you're a Babe today!
Good morning everyone. Still dark here in Vermont.
Good morning everyone. Not sure about 193 words, lot's of d's and e's but are they in the right place>
At least there's not an 'e' next to an 'r'!
Morning Wrennie/ Eva.....
Things are very quite right now. Between time zones.
morning movieman
morning everyone (or evening!) what's it like today?
Good morning, Ginger - it's a nice grid today.
morning, ginger......
just doing my first run through Ginger, so don't know yet. Having a hard time getting 24 s's from that middle one though.
Taking a break - see you later.
hmmm... don't think I'll print the list yet... will see how I do first :-)
cya later Haz
Morning everyone. Recovered from yesterday and ready to babble on (hopefully) a good grid :)
Morning, all... how is everyone on this fine Spring morning?
Evening Jera! Autumn here, but a beautiful night!!
You're just all backwayds, MrP... maybe that's why I am so fascinated with Australia! Ready for ANZAC Day?
Morning Jera! My apple trees have sprouted leaves over the last couple of days, they look so pretty :-)
!! ma I sey
Sounds lovely, Ginger... nothing I have planted has come up yet... :<
LOL @ MrP
?prm, gniog ti s'woh
I didn't plant them as I have a habit of killing anything I plant!
arej @ LOL... this is fun!! It is good and dandy thanks! Picking up the kids tomorrow!!
Are you doing anything special tomorrow, MrP? Money is tight here so we are just watching Gallipoli & making ANZAC biscuits...
I have a brown thumb, Ginger, but I was hoping my daughter's presence would help... perhaps not...
Wow Jera, you are more Australian than we are!!
I am doing the traditional 3 hour drive north with everyone else on the east coast of Australia!!
I have a good excuse with my Girl Scouts... got some new Girls that missed earning their Australia back in January...
Oops, Australia patch...
Hubby was a scout and used to go to the Anzac services every year. How do you earn an Australia patch...??
Where are you MrP, if you don't mind my asking?
I am in Sydney... so 3 hours north will take me to Taree in NSW
Oh wow, Sydney... cool!
I would think the best way to earn the Australia patch would be to dig a loo, have a barbie with 10 of ya mates, shear a sheep and be back in time for dinner to tell a few yarns!
LOL... more like learn about the flag, map, money & pick a holiday to celabrate. I also designed a booklet that explains Waltzing Matilda for a slang intro.
Waltzing matilda! Well, that is an oldie!!
I love the classics... fell in love with Australia at the 1982 World's Fair & begged my mom to buy me that record. It's a good intro to Aussie slang that bypasses the drinking, etc. Gotta be careful with the tender little girls...
Ok got 89 with no list or clues (which is really good for me) but realised I'm still shattered so going to bed to watch daytime TV (the joys of a day off!!) bbl :)
Have a good relax, Katie!
good afternoon all
G'day, Arisha!
I'm feeling utterly stupid this morning! Can anyone help me to begin to see the long compound ma's and cu's? There's not many choices of what they can begin with but I'm completely stumped. Think maybe I'll bite the cat for a change.
((Think maybe I'll bite the cat for a change)) Wooooooooowwwwww!! ! My lucky day!!
Would never bite you mrp!
Eva, I'd love to help you if I could but I tend to do the smaller words first. The longest one I have is ha7...
cu8 & 9 chop with scissors + aw4/10 then plural
it's the thought that counts jera. I have that ha too and thought, "ooooh, this is going to be an easy one" and then slammed to a halt.
ma8 & 9 -the 5th month + garden creep (we4/9) then plural
thanks mrp! It's a term I've never heard before. What is it?
I know the feeling well, Eva!
It's a kind of suit/coat jacket, isn't it?
I could swear I tried those ma's before! Must have mistyped them.
okay, mrp to the rescue. I feel better now. But Merp left the room....think he knew what I was planning?
Any clues for the hu7?
do I look like a native Europe & Asia botanist to you??
hu7 extend of the hu5 for both of them - what a rabbit might live in
no, you look like a melon cat. Was that question in response to my asking the meaning of the word or are you having some sort of fit? Actually, the one I hadn't heard before was the cu one.
Eva - there's 2 hu7's..... Think about what a pet rabbit lives in (or Starsky's partner).....
You are saving my sanity this morning mrp.
Glad to hear it!!
and movieman. My excuse is the dreary weather...brain melt down. But if it were sunny I'd have another one.
listening to a wonderful Aaron Copeland piece on the radio.
good day. i know its dreary eva, but we really needed this rain. we were having brush fires all over the place in my area.
am watching Nadal (hunka hunka Spanish Lurv) slap Federer (get a hair-cut) around the court!!
morning cliff! Oh look, we have a row of cats! Yes,I know we need it and really, its so ungratefull to complain - this spring has been the most spectacular I've ever experienced. Just feeling grinchy this morning.
movieman, I think you need to change your species and get in line(-:
are there any eq or seq words to look for?
i see several pigs in the log - that must be today's theme. well, my cat Zoey is actually a pig when it comes to food so she is still appropriate for the day :)
Eva - I thought today was pig day.....
I think it is pig day, but the cats can't be contained
Hey Everyone, I'm back! Got some time to try and finish this one ..... ummm ... better read the log for clues! Arrgghhh!
But if that's what you want, Eva......
Greetings, LS.....
excellent cat movieman! now we really have a feline takeover.
aw movieman....you dressed specially just for me? I'm honored. Who is the ravishing kitty?
in the cats vs pigs playoffs the cats are winning hands down
Hiya Movieman - I hope you are having a great a night as I am!
It's my cat, Arnie..... He shares his birthday with the Governator, so we all thought it was quite an apt name.....
looks much more evolved than the governor.
Not bad actually, LS...... I've managed to get down to 61 words with barely any help at all......
he looks like an arnie.
of course the reason I'm nattering on about cats is because I've been stuck at 130 words for a loooong time.
so we're at about the same place. seems to be where the wall is.
Just out of curiosity, (quite apt, with all the cats), can any of you get hold of any3-D glasses, 'cos I've managed to get hold of a 3-D image of a cat.....
haven't had a pair of those since about 1950. Oooh, just had an e breakthrough.
Ye gods, what the heck happened whilst I was deep in the grid? Everyone arrived & brought their cats?!
MEEEEEOWWWWW
cats rule, pigs drool :)
you go girl!
You know, I only do these theme icons to go along with the crowd... now the crowd has turned on me!!
no, we're not turning on you jera. just the pigs!
I'm a bit more comfortable now...
awww, what a photogenic cat :)
Really just popped my head up to say I have to go, LOL... gotta go get the household awake & outta here... back in a couple of hours... keep the grid warm for me!
will do jera - see ya later.
is thatyour cat companioin jera? Very debonair.
Later, Jera.....
off for cat feeding and a walk, before i get too lazy or it begins to rain again. See you all later.
bye eva.
Later, Eva.....
Assistance with the u's would be great..... I have the us4/6..... But I can't see the other 4......
us + the double letter tile + 2nd vowel
ty, mrp..... That's one.....
ur6 ur + at4
ty again, mrp...... Just missing one more u......
have you pluraled or de-pluraled everything?
Thanx, mrp...... I didn't pluralise the us5......
Gotta go, the munchies are calling..... I'll be back.....
astalavista baby!
See ya!
any clues for the wu's?
Good Morning Babblers.. Cliff... put mustard and/or kraut on your wu?
thank you aloyisius!
yw; did you remember to have more than one of the yummys?
yes i did. they were good :)
morning/afternoon/evening Babblers!
now by yummy do you mean gross-a-roo? and on pig day, for shame!
hi angel. my yummy was made from beef hurshy. wouldn't insult pigs on pig day.
ok but i still find them icky, personally. and sauerkraut - has to be the most disgusting food ever invented, i don't know why anyone would do that to themselves...
and how is everyone today? :)
i actually cannot eat anything made with or from cabbage. but i like the brats (as we call them here)
yay cliffopa - lettuce rid the world of cabbage!
Last night's supper was Choucroute, made with lots of kraut and veggies and.. oops.. sausage and..oops again..bacon... and ooooooh was it yummy!
we finally have some rain, so its a good day. we have been having lots of brush fires in NH. also, i am finally over the flu! yippeee! but now i have to get ready for work. damn!
well i'm glad you're unflued anyway (enable editors be sure to add unflued!)
at least i am halfway thru today's grid. bye for now everyone :)
Bye, cliffopa
Hey all... it's me, back again for more FUN...
ok we have a cat day scheduled (and i am a huge cat fan), but what about the poor pigs?
I was just going along with the crowd this morning... will change back into my pig costume...
Okay, I'm back... better?
ooh you too jera? only mine is a wingless flying pig! :)
I'm wearing a pig today
That's even more amazing, hurshy!
Well, I have returned!!!!
Musicmom, your pig looks very proud!
i think somebody just threw the pig off something...
hi CHS
Yay, movieman has returned!
oy, mi noggin
Well being from Cincy and a lover of Charlotte's web I had to have a flying proud pig
And hiya to you, SCD.....
LoL Hurshy === leaping pigs!
:)
I almost did the Cincinnatti flying pig, but decided on this one instead... more colorful
Happy Monday Babblers :)
Hey capone.
Hiya Faerie
Missing 1 o word...... I have the od4/6, the od4/5 & the oy4/6...... Assistance would be greatly appreciated....
Hiya, faerie.......
{{{MovieMan}}} Hello, hows is the grid being nice today?
{{{Faieriekae}}}
i'm missing the same one, CHS
{{{MusicMom}}} Goodmorning :)
hi faerie :)
I'm still on the sw's... not to the o's yet, sorry...
Jera *sprinkle*sprinkle*sprinkle*
CHS - got it - od6 (most)
Leaping pigs Hurshy - this is too funny all the cute little pigs everywhere. Who's idea was this. Very good choice.
ty, SCD..... Don't you hate it when you spend an age trying to find a REALLY obvious one.....
THanks, faerie... that pesky 1st sw5/18 won't come out... maybe the dust will extract it!
movieman... I thought it was the od**** coincidence that we are working on the same word!
Ooooooooh, faerie, just really saw your icon, what a cute baby piggie!!
pigs huh
Aloyisius - LOL.....
Jera - thats what the dust is for :)
sw 5/18 = s + thing on end of witch's nose
What the baby piggie or my sw5/18???
Jera - it so tiny makes me want one. But only a fleeting want one I know they grow up to be BIG :)
Okay I need to go to the PO and the library - back later I hope.
later Music :)
I beg your pardon, hurshy!!! *sticks un-wa4/5-y nose in the air, VERY offended*
i dont feel like pig today, so refresh to see me!
Jera - I bet you've already found your sw5/18 now haven't you. See the faerie dust works. :)
LOL
jera - huh?
Capone your aaaa. What are you?
On to the su's...
undead shadow priest
*whispers to hurshy* I'm a Witch!!
Ok, I know the undead shadow priest.... :(
oh... oh i always forget that witches aren't just fictional... sorry to accuse you of having a protuberance you haven't got :)
I heard that Jera :) but I bet you don't have one of those wa's on the end of your nose :)
don't patronize me faerie, i will melt your face! just ask TSM
Capone - please don't melt my face. Age is doing a good job at that LOL
You are right... very clever clue... (not really offended of course)...
Jera - please don't let Capone melt my face. Get him.
it's just, i have to spend so much time saying to my husband, "i'm not a witch, i'm your wife!"...
/cast vampiric embrace, shadow word pain, mind flay, mind blast on Faerie your face melt crits Faerie for 5000hp, Faerie's face is melted
*casts a protection spell around faerie so capone won't melt her face* *whispers to faerie* But maybe you shouldn't patronize him, either...*
Jera - My friend who plays when she can "Tamara27" just got me a book called "The Goodly Spells" haven't really got to look at it. Have you heard of it?
good afternoon
No, faerie, I mostly make up my own...
{{{Scatty}}} HI!!!
She says it is really a good book and well. I'd like to talk with you off line sometime if possible?
good morning all
Morning Abe :)
morning, faeriekae
Does anyone know if MrP is in the line of the storm that is headed her way? I sure hope not.
She did not mention it, faerie... she did say she was driving north for ANZAC Day, though... did not sound distressed...
Just read the part about talking off-line... sure thing, faeriekae! I guess you mean off-Babble, since I have no idea where you are IRL...
thats good. I just saw it on the weather channel and was just wondering if she was near the coast.
Jera - I have yahoo IM and MSN IM do you have either?
She's in Sydney, so yeah... might be why she's going...
yahoo IM FTW!
Yes, you're on my yahoo list!
MrP just IM'd and she apparently had no idea there is a storm on the way.
Good thing you watch the Weather Channel, faerie! :>
Jera - call me on yahoo please. At your convience.
Hmmmm... I thought I just did...
Is it the Goodly Spellbook, faerie?
Morning All! We didn't get anything bad out of the storm watch last night. Halleluliah!! What a perfect day to put the picture of my ha** on as my icon, with it being one of the words and all. Must get babbling.
Hmmm.....those e's on the middle right are puzzling me.... I hace the ec4/6, but I can't see the others...
CHS - i have all but one - think e***-a-ske***
and then something that might be an alt spelling of that. do you have the ones from the top e - i just have the one about currents
mmm... you there CHS??

Capone to you really think I'm going to fall for that again?
no mice this time, I promise
I don't know the meaning of a single one of the sc words... weird...
Sorry, SCD, yes, I'm still here..... Re: the other 2 top e's..... One is like the other e4 but change the last letter, and the other is an ed6......
and how many sc words are there for you not to know the meaning of? *hurshy asks innocently*
5 hurshy... all have same 3rd letter, as well...
ah, thanks CHS, did you get the 4 i clued you? if i can just find that last E, i'll be done with all the vowels (including sometimes!)
ty jera - i was missing one
Good morning everybody............
morning bbnaz
Hello.
hey vi, you don't happen to have my last e, do you? :) :) :)
good morning...
Nope. I'm still missing one from the top and two from the right.
Morning, abe! Love your icon, Vicuna!
{{Vicuna}} goodmorning :)
Morning, bbnaz! *catching up on chat*
On to the pr's!!
from the top there's current, nickname for edward? and pl. from the right there are two pairs plus ec4/6
Do you know the book my icon is from, Jera? It's a cute one!
jera - are they all pr's or were there some ps's or pt's?
Faerie, you look?
Well, all the pr's are pr's, hurshy... ;>
well yes but i meant all the p's, you tease you
Yes, Vicuna... we love the whole series... never gets old...
I think I have all the same e's as you, hurshy. Do you have the one from the top that could be a nickname for Edward, but is not the same as "Ed----'s in the space-time continuum" (It's really a kind of taro)
looking Capone
umm, i don't know vi - but by nickname for edward i meant not the one that has to do with currents but another - steve urkel used to call eddie winslow this on family matters... :/
Okay, must be the same one!
then you're not missing one from the top anymore?
jeeeeeera, any ps's or pt's?? and if so how many?
SCD - Do you have all the e's yet?
Yes, I am still missing an alleged e6 from the top.
plural vi, plural no CHS still missing one from the right
Please help..... I need help with " es,6 " I'm lost Thanks
Vicuna - the e6 from the top is the plural of the e4 (not the whirlpool)......
ed6 = plural of ed4
The "alleged" e 6 is a plural of the word before it.
5 points to silentbutdeadly (scribble's mom, right?)!
Oh, those pesky plurals that don't simply take an s... Thanks, folks.
es6 = "The periodic state of sexual excitement in the female of most mammals, excluding humans, that immediately precedes ovulation and during which the female is most receptive to mating; heat."
Yup, just found it. Usually spelled oe-.
Capone - your really could melt my face if you wanted to I'll be nice to you from now on. I promise *biting finge nails* thanks for not sending me mice :)
well no wonder i hadn't found it. jera, are you purposely torturing me about the p's?
8)
anyway, done with vowels and 29 words to go!
ty, Jera..... That's all the vowel words found.....
morning all - love the flying pigs. But these two cuddlers were too cute to resist
and you'll be glad to know i just died
Yes, I am the mother of scribble
Hurshy, The p's are a killer -- they are all pr's
good morning all!!
Yes, hurshy, I am. :>
awwww - get up and brush yourself off and start again Capone. :(
{{{Shorty}}} LOL I love your icon.
ARB - that's better than ps or pt! but i have only found 4 - they ARE a killer. by the way, one of my sisters has the initials ARB. :) hi silentbutdeadly - you have a delightful daughter :)
ty
haha jera your plot was foiled by ARB
These are my initials -- I took the name for babbleboggle before I realized how unesthetic it is for babbling
lol, I always do Faerie. Thats what I get for trying to babble and WoW at the same time. Man, just wait til May!
Just changed my icon again..... You all know the drill......
Jera, THANK YOU!!
Hi y'all, I did check in earlier, but have been far too bury trying to do this grid so far
LOL Movieman :)
th-th-that's much bbbeetter, movieman! :)
Hi Wren :)
greetings, o revered exwren
The last pr is an Israeli term -- the name for a coin, I think the word may be Biblical. The word preceeding it is a different spelling, minus the last unpronounced letter
Oh hurshy - OTT or what?
what is OTT?
oh DEAR we are all using a word very much!
Well, I knew 4 of the pr's...
On to the ma's...
ok i'm up to 8 p's
2 more to go, hurshy! You can do it!
Did I help or only confuse?
i know i can - but i'm running out of ideas :)
Well, you helped me, ARB! thanks!
gosh Hurshy you are still da gal I aspire to imitate!
helped, ARB, i got those 2, thanks!
You confused ME, ARB.... How many letters are in that pr word......
hi gang! : )
sprite, sprite is who you should desire to imitate.
Okay - I'm back - copies are made, daisy tunic has petals and i'm ready to play for 2 hours until Bible Study.
The last one is 6/25 and preceeding it is pr 5/14
exwren - i am dying of curiosty, OTT??? (is one of them troglodites (sp?)?)
hi Temple Owl!
Achooo! ma7 & 8 are making my allergies flare up...
Awwww *fondly remembers Daisy Tunic*
Wait a minute ARB, my last one that I though came from your clue is pr6/27. Am I confused or are you?
oh jera! *mwah* you finished my m's for me!
:>
just a typo vi - no way for a 6/25 to exist, of course
Of course you're right -- I just can't type
10 words to go!
Yeah Jera - those tunics are too darn cute. Sarah was never a Daisy so Hannah's is particularly precious to me.
Oh yeah. Duh. thanks. I was just so hopeful that that was going to be a clue for another one...
22 left for me - but hmmm, it's almost time for class :(
I just wish Sprite hadn't had such a crappy Daisy Leader... she only earned 4 petals. If I hadn't been pregnant I would have led...
What are Daisies?
I was just wondering the same thing
pwetty fwowers
phooey, i go get dressed now
Sorry, secret Girl Scout words... Daisies are the littles Girl Scouts, 5 year olds/Kindergarteners... sooooo cute!
Bethides that
what girls are before they become brownies no?
Hannah didn't even get a Daisy leader until the middle of March. She has the center and 6 petals. The leader is actually a Brownie leader that felt sorry for Hannah and another little girl who didn't have a troop. My juniors and all my SU duties keep me from taking on Juniors. We have been doing petals at home to get them caught up.
Ahhhh... I was a Blue Bird
seems to me they should be batter before they are brownies, but whatev :)
LOL Hurshy.. Jera have you heard talk that they are thinking about renaming the levels?
LOL hurshy
Good one, hursh. Cause if there's one thing cuter than a bunch of little pre-girl-scouts, it's chocolate!
Yikes, no... not more change? I still haven't recovered from Studio2B...
Me either --- The leaders in our SU threw a fit when the field director mentioned that.
My girls are opting for not doing Studio 2B they want to do the regular Cadette program instead.
My only consolation is that it was Girl-designed. I can handle the Girls remaking Scouting... they are the future, after all...
My Sprite wants to do both, of course, LOL
Yes but my girls don't like the charms -- they want heavy vests<G>
Some of the 2B programs are very good as far as content.
my daughters made it to juniors and brownies respectively............then they did other things. and i was on of the leaders for the older one. guess i wasn't so hot.
I haven't had the nerve to check it out... I'm trusting the organization to not go off the deep end. Of course, I still long for the Worlds to Explore divisions...
bbnaz- that isn't necessarily true (that you weren't good) girls just have different interests. I don't think scouting is for everyone. --- shhhhh don't let my field director hear that.
Yep. We'll just have to wait and see and provide the best we can for our girls on the local level.
pr6,27 = http://worldcoingallery.com/co untries/Israel.html
Scouting is not for everyone... but every girl should have the opportunity... so many enriching things no matter what the girls' interests...
my my; do i detect a 'piggy' theme in here today? :-)
Oh absolutely Jera!!!! But I don't get upset when a girl has been in for two or three years and then decides to focus on her gymnastics or volleybal or whatever and doesn't have the time or inclination for troop/SU activities anymore.
Hi Mikey :)
hi mikey. hi, faeriekae!
Hi Mikey
Hi ya TO :)
Morning Mikey -- yes, pigs are the theme
The older they get the harder it is to schedule stuff. That's why I think Scouting should sponser more things... sports... career exploration, etc.
{{Mikey}}
Guten Nachmittag, Mikey......
Musicmom~ I thought you were "busy" today :)
Yep it is the reason my almost cadettes only meet together once a month but then register for Girl Zone activities on their own to supplement.
BGL --- shhhhhh I'm not here. I went to the po and the library and delivered summer curricula flyers this morning. I have two hours before Lori gets here for Bible Study.
hi faeriekae, Temple Owl, musicmom, ch1212, Jera and movieman!!! :-D *gasps for breath*
BGL Im still going to need your help later because once Lori gets here I won't get back to the grid until 9 pm or so.
Okay, I'll let it slide this time... How's the grid?
Good job Mikey :)
meeting - bbl! have fun!
I'm getting the feeling it isn't as friendly as yesterday. I'm only at 38 words. I need to quit chatting and focus.
later TO
Musicmom, I was wondering what you were doing here on a Monday. For a moment I was afraid Babble had tempted you away from Higher studies :)
ja; thanks, faeriekae! *gasp* *pant* :-P
We had a great time at the local State Park Saturday, even though it rained & thunderstormed all day... didn't see any eagles, though!
Nope my Bible Study buddy is working midnights now. So, we dont' get started until about noon because she sleeps for a few hours before coming over. I should be studying Greek but hey - all the words in the grid are greek to me.
LOL
Fun Jera! Sorry you didn't see any eagles.
cu 7/44 please and thank you :)
I want to learn Greek after Latiin... I learned the Greek alphabet on my own as a kid (yes, I was weird)
cu 7/44 = different spelling of the one before
I like Hebrew much better than Greek. I remembered just enough Latin to make Greek confusing.
ch1212- ty :)
Greek is very interesting but it is tough.
LOL musicmom. My beloved knows how to read and write in Greek, Aramaic, Latin, and Hebrew, but he only speaks English, German, Spanish and Italian. He's very talented linguistically, but he had to learn in order to study theology in Rome.
Our problem with Greek is that we stopped for a few months. Now we are having to go back and relearn a lot of things. Hate declensions!
What resources ar eyou using for Greek? I have two Greek/English Bibles (one is interlinear with the NRSV and NIV translations), my Greek Bible dictioanry and my cheat sheet from the Greek final. I also somewhere have my primer... do you want to borrow any of these?
We are learning it to be able to read the original language of the NT --- but also just to challenge ourselves and do something academic. If we ever get through Greek we intend to do Hebrew.
Done with the h's... 5 c's & I'm done!
Well, I'm deeply impressed you are making the effort, and feeling the drive to discern for yourself. I really respect that!
go Jera go....
I had an adult class once where our teacher informed us that we better all learn Greek because that is what was spoken in Heaven! She was joking about Corinthians and "My dear Theopoli" (I think that's what it was)
DONE>>>>anyoe need a clue??
Thanks ch. I find I study much better if I am self-driven. Found out last week that one of my student's father is a Greek prof at OU. He has offered to help/tutor us if we need it.
Congrats OUW !!!!
congrats, ouwachita!
BRAVO Ouw! LOL ch
Congrats OUW (I like that abbreviation better - it's easier to remember!)
OUW, congratulations. I am partially bald from trying to make words appear. Unfortunately I must leave to take the girlies to school, then ride, then dentist but I will be back to try and finish the last 70 words...... again WOOT for you!
cu 7/60 please.
BGL - We are using Dr. Mounce's Learning Biblical Greek. it is a college text with a workbook, flashcards and lectures on DVD. We both have interlinear Greek/NIV Bibles. Lori also has a Greek dictionary that we use. Thanks for the offer.
Faerie- I don't have it.
cu 7/60 - a tuxedo is sometimes called this. 2 words
There's a good website, I just have to remember what it is. I used it a couple of weeks ago when I was preaching on "karthos"
cu7...add aw4/10 to the ending
Whoo-hoo! *happy dance of doneness*
thanks Music and Thank you CH1212 once again :)
Is it teknia greek BGL? We use it. We also got fonts for our computers.
WTG JERA Congrats!!!!
BRAVO Jera.
no thanks needed, faeriekae -- just returning the favor(ssss)
*reading chat* Huzzah for Ouwa!!
congrats Jera
Thanks OUW.
**JERA*** Congratulations! You rock!
hahhahaaaa. Gotta go. Lori just got here early. Work was light last night and she got to bed earlier. Talk later.
thats me finished
time to get some work done so I can pay my ISP...see you all tomorrow
Later Music :)
that doesn't ring a bell, but it could be... I have it in my favorites at the office. It is like an interlinear on-line. I, too, have the font for greek and Hebrew - problem with Hebrew is it is right to left...
Hurrah for SHA! (Cute icon)
CONGRATULATIONS SHA!!!
thanx faer
yeah c's are done.
ch 6/27 clue please?
Are we still talking Greek? *sings to tune of Frere Jacques* alpha, beta, gamma, delta, epsilon, zeta, eta...
Hi folks. Just finished typing in the words I found on paper this morning. Am more than pleased to find I only have 13 words left to get. Pity 'mwah' isn't a word. Someone should tell those Hollywood types though.:-)
morning, jacs - lol
Cute icon, Jacula... when did you arrive?
ch it is a wild cat in the jungle.
ch6/27 - fastest land animal, spotty feline with its normal double vowel halved.
thanks faeriekae - thought I tried that, but I think I wanted to put the 'a' someplace else.
I have 15 more minutes before I have to go start homeschool with my littlie... does anyone need help?
Jera ~ never heard that one before. But I learned to sing the GK alphabet in my sorority in undergrad :) I can sing Amazing Grace to the tune of Gilligan's Island, though...
Jera - Got here about 15 mins or so ago. Icon is 'Piggin' Pets' from the Piggin' collection of ornaments. I have a cupboard full of them.
Of course you haven't BGL... I made it up when I was 10... :>
Well, that would explain it... :)
Jacula... I must have been submerged in the c's... good morning to you!
OMG -- BGL, you are right! Amazing Grace CAN be sung to the tune of Gilligan's Island! Darnit, now I've got that running through my mind. LOL!
Jera, do you have a clue for ch 6/33? congrats on finishing too!
Sorry....
Isn't that slightly sacriligious? I know some people who would be quite offended *rolls eyes*
ch1212 - ch 6/33 uses the 5pt tile. Alt. spelling for paper that you write on to pay for something.
Jera - You didn't miss me. I only just posted on the log. I meant I signed in to type my words in about 15 mins ago.:)
Think fancy payment (not cash)
Sorry that clue was for ABE not ch1212.
thanks faerie, but it was abe who asked... I think the 'ch' looked confusing. :)
Gotcha, Jacula... I wander off & miss alot... wanted you to feel welcome...
thanks faeriekae and jera
I'm sure there would be some offended, but I beleive the words are the important part, not the tune... besides I am a youth and children's pastor, so anything I can do to make the "old" new again they like...
hehe, Jera..... snap! :D
Thanks due to ch1212 for the tuxedo clue. I was trying to find more ways to greet a monarch!
Good idea, BGL... it's very important to teach kids to carry on traditions!
Good point, BGL :) you're welcome, Jacula -- more payback to you!
*looks confused @ Babbler*
Oops, I used a word. Oops! I've done it again!
Of course last week two of my high schoolers were trying to rewrite "Friends in Low PLaces" (Garth Brooks) to be "I've got a friend in high places.." it was hysterical!
*whispers to Jera - pigs with wings* : )
Oh... thanks, Babbler! (I wasn't sure if the snap was good or bad, LOL)
Jac, I've got a date fixed with Artlady for this babble convention in London. Fri 16th June. Will you be joining us? :D:D:D
Well, I gotta scoot... his majesty awaits... we're practicing writing his mundane name for school in the fall, such fun although a trifle confusing for him...
Later Jera and Thank you once again :)
Sha - are you still there?
bye Jera : ) hi faerie! ((( hugs ))), hi ch1212, musicmom, everybody : D
Babbler - Sorry for delay, I was off on Google showing my daughter Coronation St's Richard Fleeshman - he's a good-looking lad, the right age for her and sings like a young Elton John. She's not biting though.LOL.
'Bye Jera.
{{{Babbler}}} Hi!!! All is well here :)
Jac - I totally agree about Richard Fleeshman. He's growing up to be a really good looking lad, isn't he?
Babbler - re the London convention. Sadly not on this occasion, it's too close to Monsters of Rock festival (going with my daughter) and holiday in Crete (going with Paul). Funds just won't run to more.
I knew it would be, Faerie! I popped in to lurk not long ago and you seemed happy, so I knew all was ok. :D
Babbler, re Mr. Fleeshman, well, if I were 30 years' younger...:DDDD
Babbler - awwww Thank You. Yes everything is back to "normal" and my doggie Max can now rest. He is so much more relaxed :)
awww, :'( sorry to hear that. Maybe we'll have another convention sometime in the future. : )
Jac - re Richard Fleeshman.... if I were younger too.... LOL :D:D:D
Just checked my profile and I see that Dr_God's added that extra year on that I reached on Saturday.:(
Happy (belated) Birthday, Jac!! Did you have a good day?
Happy belated, Jacula!
clue for the sc 5/14 that is not the plural of the sc 4/6?
ch1212- sc 5/14 if you ask someone to move over, you ask them to sc*** (alternate spelling)
there are 3 sc5/14s . . .
and sc5/14--same clue but with an Italian accent :-)
Thanks abe -- got it, just have never seen it spelled that way :)
Molto grazie, une!
good morning, all! I need help with the very first cu6/24. Thanks!
Had a lovely birthday, thanks. Lots of flowers, cards, nice pressies and Paul cooked 2 nice meals for me, the second accompanied by champagne.
Abe, don't believe I've met you--good morning and welcome to Babble!
yw. i had to monkey type that one. thanks for the clue uneaixoise. and thanks for the welcome! i'm happy to be here!
cu6 - like the cu***** of a museum with different end
cu + ra4/4 = cleric
Thank you Ch!
and une :-)
yw knutmeg. bbl all - must go be useful about the house for a bit.
pig day!
Hello Jane. We can't call you by your musical name today.
Th-th-that's right, harpjane! :)
Abe - Hello. Thanks for helping me finish my sc's - I only had the rabbity ones.
Porky Pig was always a favorite of mine
jac, it was the first word I found....
... okay, okay, I'm going to fold clothes now (*sigh*)
hi Jacula- thanks! those SC clues were a true group-babble effort!
Jane - I thought it might be! I take it you got the plural, too?
CH1212 has pricked my conscience; I, too, should be attending to laundry...:(
Wanted to pop on and say hello, haven't been able to play for days!!
Hi Bunny. It's a nice grid today.
Hi Bunny nice to see you :)
(P.S. I should that from the ironing board. I *am* attending to the laundry. *Honest!*)
Is it...tempting. maybe when I come home from work. ( I quit my job and have now worked 13 days in a row...)
*meant 'shouted'.
how about the very first hu 5/14 please.
Hmmm, my house has stayed amazingly clean through lack of Babble...
ok Bunny don't start trying to make the rest of us feel bad. *blows dust off the desk*
LOL, gives me an excuse to come in a nd play tomorrow. Anyway, I better get. Bye for now.
Bye Bunny :)
hu5/14 - a wooded area (old word). Also a suburb of Fort Worth, I believe. *Also blows dust off desk.*
faerie, Im with you on that, if I blew the dust off my desk I wouldn't be able to see the screen. Good "time zone appropriate" greeting to all LOL
Thanks Jac :)
LOL FMitch.
Ooh, just realised I only have one word left to find. May as well stay and look for it...
I'm done!
good going Jac WTG!!!!
congrats jacula
I see the babble god has added a few changes for the better. Hello fellow babblers! :)
hello ladybug
CONGRATULATIONS JAC!!!
Hello!
I suppose I'd better go and do the ironing and make the 'toad-in-the-hole' for later. I'll pop in and out to see if anyone needs any clues.

How are you doing with the grid Munkey?
ty, SCD.....
Munkey are you feeling better about things now?
hey UK Babblers - I've got a date set for the babble convention - Fri 16 June. Who's coming??? : D
2 words so far
ummm... just for the record... hurshy will never change her screen name, or add a second screen name - so anyone appearing as hershey and claiming to be me isn't. hurshy is hurshy, accept no substitutes.
hello folks. babbler, i'm jealous of your convention! :)
yeah i want to plan a New England Babblers' Convention.
ditto that hurshy. there is no substitute for the Hurshster!!
no need for jealousy -- it's an ugly and hurtful thing>>>>>>>>>>>>>
But, but, the more Toes means goodtimes!
cu 6 -- to work at a museum and prepare exhibits. cu 7 is the plural
brb
hi torgone! : ) this may be a day to lurk if i've ever seen one...
signing off for a bit! Hubby seems to think I should stop babbling and fix lunch. LOL
((( Tor-Tor))) : )
*raises hand* me, me!
Babbler - I'm coming to London for a lunch date on Fri 16 June. Do you have a time and place yet?
Morning, Temple Owl. Since I got my first 2 "a" words(the one that has shaped my life and the one I'm sitting on) I've been going great guns. How about you?
just got in from Grant's violin session at school... (((TSM))) Hi! Hi (((all)))
Hi guys! Don't think I'll be able to make the convention, Babs ..
hey stid

Tor - just read your bio...love it.
How many total words today?
193 words
hetty - morning's are too hectic here - 26 and holding... hi stidmama!
more's the pity, Tor-Tor :'(
Woohoo! Only 100 to go!! I hate not being able to access the stats . ..
193 words today tcms. remember, you can also go to Lickety's clues (link at the right of this page) or Babblers Anonymous for that info...
The dancefloor is free if anyone wants to join me. In the words of Chris Montez: "We can do the Twist, the Stomp, the Mashed Potato too, any old dance that you wanna do"..... But I'm doin' the Doneness Dance!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hurshy, I love you the way you are. It's only because you are so sweet that I keep changing the vowel. Stay, little Valentine, stay...
Thanx Angela!
congrats movieman!
*dances dance of doneness with movieman* congrats! : D
oh, no, hetty, i wasn't objecting to anyone misspelling my name, that doesn't bother me. i was merely taking precautions...
OMG - DID I JUST USE AN APOSTROPHE IN A PLURAL!!! shoot me!
Hooray for Movieman *****
guess i'm going to hav' ta challenge myself more to hang with you guys/gals!
congrats movieman
lol temple, we'll let it go THIS time...
temple, clearly, you started out intending to say morning's too hectic here, which would have been correct, and changed midway - a very understandable mistake
do a jig for me movie man.
too funny - big fan of beer, eh? :) Congrats Movieman!
ladybug - how long have you been babbling?
yeah movieman!
I just picked it up again after a year or so.
wtg, moveman!!!
congrats, CHS!!! :)
PLEASE help me with the last PR 5/14 and 6/27. I read all the clues from early this am but am still at a loss on these two....thanks
72TO - Thats okay. Sometime's their's no avoiding those thing's in they're.
aah, hence your comment about the changes! Welcome back then :)
YAY movieman!
thnx! :]
I gave those clues -- but here's a clue that has nothing to do with the meaning. The pr 6 word is pr + the name of a state in the Western US. The pr 5 is that word minus the last letter
only 143 wtg!
LOLOLOL tor!
thanks ARB, wasn't looking for those yet, but glad to pick up help any way I can! :-)
yous guys are all that and a bag of chip's
ARB..........THANKS A BUNCH..I got them both.....
Thanx for all the words of congratulations everyone, but, in the words of Porky himself....... Th-Th-Th-Th-Th at's All, Folks!!!!!
I'm back again.
CONGRATULATIONS MOVIEMAN!!!!
(((faerie)))
LOL FMitch - so what happend to the Munkey?
it went away or is lurking as it definately was not TSM.
so...um... faerie... did you find anything out while you were gone?
looking for the ma5/16 - 8/80 please. They must all link.
heck no
In case you were wondering, I was saying goodbye, people!!!!!
bye movieman
That was pretty apparent.
goodbye, movieman
BYE MOVIEMAN!!! :)))))))
the ma 7 and 8 are related, but the 5 is like the earlier 6 only without the e.... and the 7 is a compound that you might be allergic too
later Movieman :)
bye CHS!
adios, movieman!!! vaya con dios!
yeah i've never known TSM to misspell faerie as fearie
gotta go, BBL
thanks Hurshy :)
later FMitch
Awwww you guys are no fun! I mispell Faeries name all the time!
ma 5 is Biblical or Shakespearean English -- Think of the game "Captain, ... I?" Ma 8 is a compound word combing the 5th month and what grows in gardens uncontrollably. Ma 9 is the plural
bye everyone! let's do this again another time. later. :{)
bye ladybug
bye movieman, ladybug
Bye Ladybug :)
OMG! you are right! that's not our TSM! grrrr.....
Stid - No isn't....LOL....Run
I am now your TSM so you better get use to it! Anyone have some DEW?
hurshy -- i'm a bit distracted today, Grant is still home from school for three more days -- did you finish already?
T-R-O-L-L :) hehehe RUUUUUUUN!!!
no stid, i have 18 to go at the moment
*peeks in with his left eye*
faeriekae -- that is a darlin' little piggy in your icon! emphasis little...
I am NOT a TROOL!!! I am the new and improved TSM!
Mikey! (there's a troll in here... beware)
Mikey - run aw410
sigh.
lol mikey, you keeping an eye on all of us?
given your luck lately Mikey - I would beware :)
ty Stid - it is cute....too bad they have to grow up. LOL
i think it's hurshy.....
you think what's hurshy?
faeriekae -- just like kids and puppies LOL at least once they grow up you don't have to feed them by hand anymore!
lol stidmama, faeriekae and Angela.....i'll just ignore it, not to worry! ;-) and ja, LeslieAnn.....i guess i am? ;-)
LOL Stid you are right about that.
no, no, hurshy is clearly a _flying_ pig! and the little guy in faeriekae's hand is definitely the land-bound kind.
give it up, hurshy - good joke, though!
*sings* sometimes i feel like... somebody's waaaa-tching me....
all right -- I need to focus people, or I won't ever finish this grid (I have 65 words to go -- stayed up two extra hours to get that far)
somebody's got to Mikey... it's a mad, mad, mad, mad, mad chat log today :)
finished the m's finally whew
: D
hu 5/14 and 6/24? can't monkey them.
aw; sorry if my watchful eye bothers you at all, LeslieAnn.....if so, just let me know, and i'll change to another 'section' :-P and ja; i thought so too, Angela.....one needs to 'keep an eye' on things sometimes! ;-)
Soooooooo I am hungry what should I eat for lunch?
leslie - if you have the wu's, they are like that
nope just makes me wanna sing! ;)
worms?
don't have the wu's...
Munkey we all know what you usually have.
i don't think i like the cu category today. I got all the 4-letter ones, though, that normally elude me -- trying to go through in order to finish up. Think I'll need more chocolate. BRB
lol, LeslieAnn.....my eye makes you want to sing? :-P
your good Mikey - go with the eye :)
LOLOLOL temple
What is that Fearie? Hmmmm?
ok then, Angela; at least it *is* MY eye, anyhow! :-)
temple - were you joking with me? or serious? or is it some sort of chastisement because you thought i was harsh with miya during that whole fiasco?
your the one who eats it everyday not me Munkey.
hurshy: : D : D ; D
poop?
I hope to God you don't eat that.
temple... i still feel unclear... does that mean you were just joking?
oy vey...on that note...BRB good luck :) what a relief that we all know it's you and not a pod person :)
dear hurshy: YES
Good morning, all :)
Hi ya Cyber :)
ok, phew. cause i know some of you were upset with me after the miya thing, and i've tried really hard since then not to make people feel bad, but i didn't know if you still... anyway, thanks for clearing that up temple.
good morning, nan, join the madness (troll, witty reparte, the usual)
hurshy: : D now come on, let me see that hurshy smile...
um you guys maybe we should institute the number one rule of trolling? (that is, ignore??)
:) :) :)
yay - i believe that is a first!!!!
I <3 u Faerie!
sorry LeslieAnn -- I forgot... *going into lurk mode*
what's a first?
Don't tell me -- the 10 year old trolls are back?
does anyone have clues for any hu 7's? they are driving me crazy. and thanks leslieann
hu7 are pl and past tense of hu5, a cabinet you keep dishes and stuff in
Hi there, Mikey. Your eye certainly makes ME want to sing--yesterday I was quite upset not to be able to see your eyes at all on the photo, and wanting to know if all was well again. Now I'm singing "I've got my eyes on you. . ."
hu6 & 7 (pl) - what rabbits live in
*reached into log. grabs hurshy. gives her a gentle shake. then a hug* i don't remember seeing you smile is all
sorry -- make that 5 & 7, plural and past tense
thanks hurshy and cybernan
oh, really? do i not smile?! i think i usually just do one at a time. :)
(((temple)))
or merely a very overgrown kiddy with the 'mentality' of a repressed 10 year old, cybernan :-/ although, i dare say that's a more than generous estimate! :-P ah well; nose to the grindstone......er, grid! :-P
did someone just give a clue for ma 6/27? think i missed it...
don't have a lot of time, so think I will go dig up the list today -- still have 70 to go!
Hey everyone :)
leslie - it's an old-timey word, like king james english or shakespeare - looks like the most of next month
LOL Mikey
ooh, tigereye, you were in the grid just the other day
hi tigereye! and bye all - BBL! have fun!
Hi Tiger :)
hmm, hetty? why couldn't you see my eyes on the photo yesterday? i had a photo of my whole face in my avatar then! :-P anyhow; if you want a clearer view, go to my yahoo profile.....the link to it is at the bottom/end of my Babble profile.....
thanks hursh
later TO
ce 5 or 6?
Good Day, All you lovely little piggies out there. How fun! Sort of a mad Mon. already isn't it?
I was? Cool :) I missed it by being away Bye TO
i have a ce5/12... french for "this is" plus a vowel... hmm... hard one to clue...
you can also past tense the rabbit home for hu7/48
the ce 5 i have is ce + the first three letters of moon and *****
leslie can clue it! :)
oh ja; then come to think of it, i didn't see you in here yesterday any time i popped in, hetty.....that could be why; you weren't here, were you? :-/
i don't have the 6, though
ce5: zest - the z + the c + a vowel
Nice eye Mickey, hope you don't get poked.
/lick TSM
um.... capone? we don't think that's tsm
/acts shocked It's NOT?
LOL
*GASP* Kill the imposter!
capone: we should go all north jersey on it ...LOL!
go for it. Or maybe we should just call Dr_G
anyone have a clue for the ce 6?
You guys really are no fun sometimes 8(
go right ahead, Capone! ;-) we won't try and stop you, will we, piggies? ;-)
Go for it Capone she/it was asking for you earlier.
thats me finished. bye everyone
anyone with clues for the tu ones? i'm drawing a big blank.
Yes, Mikey, I was, and asked how your eye was. A kind fellow babbler warned me you popped in and out a lot. Not to wory. I've just read your biom with geatb interes, having been active in lusical theatre much of my life--mostly as director but also as singer. I CAN'T DANCE much I'm afraid--particumarly in my old age. You can "google" me for more info. LOL
congrats ruthy! can you clue the ce 6 before you go?
CONGRATS RUTHY!!!!
i have a tu 5/14, abbr for paint remover
He/she/it was just trying to end the intense boredom that he/she/it is suffering from today.
NO
capone...?
ty hurshy--i got that one right after i posted the note; just need the 6 & 7 now.
REALLY
ce 6 womans girdle or change the vowel from the ce 5 above and add a constant
Mikey, I've just read the scramble my mad monkey made oof my typing and I apologize. Actually I do speak English. But not German. I only sing German.
thanks ruthy!
yay ruthy! congrats and bye!
TSM-if this really is you say monkey 5 timse in a row.
thank you Ruthy -- and congrats!
ok, i'm tired of the trolling... be back later. bye all!
faerie, i may be confused but i think what capone is saying is that he has been ToeSockMunkey
oh, ok hetty; but how could i 'Google' you? i mean, by what name? :-/ if i 'Google' the name 'Hetty', i'm sure that will result in hundreds or thousands of hits.....and i wouldn't know which one is you? :-/
btw; the 'view' has moved from my eye now.....*refresh* :-P
I'm confused Hurshy....
me too faerie!!!
LOL.
Ok me too bbl.....have appts this afternoon and I haven't been in the shower yet. So see you guys later this evening.
O.K. Mikey. According to my grandchildren, I have a website (the Lord knows who put it there-- it was NOT I!) which can be found by clicking in my full name of Hetty Clews. You're welcome
you are a rogue, capone LOL! BBL all!
good morning everyone!
Capone you are a SBB...
Just suffering 3 days in to 10 days off...nothing fun planned til mid-week and I dread doing housework. And I wanted to see if Donna Danger (my new nickname for Han...er, TSM) would get mad...lol
cu 7/44?
Alternate spelling of CU6 30
oh my goodness, this 45 year old man is looking for a 9-12 year old virgin to marry him and give him children..he is advertising
i heard about that... that's pretty messed up.
hetty -- is your son-in-law's hair really that spiky? you show up on all kinds of websites, actually! :-)
he is in oklahoma... crazy ..if he does anything though he goes to jail
Thanks, Layne
YW, Cybernan
ah, ok Hetty; i'll check that out later.....trying to get this grid done! ;-)
i keep typing in new words and it tells me i have already used them but i havent....is this happening to anyone else
is anyone else having problems refreshing with new words?
anyone else having trouble getting it to take pr6,27?
Hi Stid! Yup, Sheldon looks like everyone's idea of a mad musician. He's a dear dear son-in-law. . .as are the other three. I'm amazed at how notorious I am. Actually, the googled website says nothing (at least on the first five pages, then I gave up) about my exploits in musical theatre. Ah well. Mikey strill reminds me iof the "Jesus" in my productionof GODSPELL at U.Vic some 30 years ago
really slow. just need to be patient . . .
I was having problems getting it to accept anything a minute ago, it claimed it couldn't connect to the server to chekc my word
I'm just finding it very slow -- about 30 seconds to enter each word.
And did you also act in "the visitor?" or was that a different hetty? looks like you've never actually retired, just picked up more fun things to do!
The grid is really screwed up. Claims I need all the words, when actually I am down to six. so I will take a break and try very late tonight, when I get back home
bye inge -- I think it's just people's lunchtime, and they are logging in to play!
thats why people should play WHILE they are working, like me :)
lol abe!! i agree!
hi abe, cute swimming piggies... or just quit work and devote their lives to babbling...
thanks! i like the idea of not working and devoting oneself to babble. it has many rewarding qualities
LOL stid and abe!!!
i have 50 words left, my brain is even slower than the server LOL
the cu's and hu's are defeating me as well
HELP need clues for the CU/7 60 and CU/8 80, please its driving me mad x
*waits patiently for m3's clues...*
ok bbl in 30 minutes. i hope the server behaves
*waiting for m3's clues...*
M3 - cu + the cross letter + aw 4/10 and then plural
dl88, ty
yw
ty dl88. ok, i'm really going now...
smaller!!! how you doin....
im must be thick i dont get the clue !!!!!
bye abe
bye stidmama, be back soon and hopefully the server will too
M3 - formal def. A brief shot that interrupts the main action of a film, often to depict related matter or supposedly concurrent action.
this is just weird. I'm cutting out for a while, later all!
omg i have it now how obviouse lol silly me thanks for the clue xxxxxx
All done of to Suduko bye peeps xxxx
i'm stuck on the cu 7/60
hello again, us 5 and 6?
congrats m3!
rosey: what you do with scissors: cu* + anchors aw**!
the cu7 is also a term for a tailcoat, although the film directing meaning is more common nowadays. It's a compound word.
thanks for the clues guys!!
Yes, Stid,I acted in The Visitor. And sang. I was the villain, Kitty Barton
ooops! HI Temple Owl!!! darn work keeps interfering
WOW, Hetty. Already amazed by your skill with words, and kindness, now awed by your vast-ranging talents.... :-)
Oops. My husband calls me away to a Hospice meeting. See you all later, bye for now
Is anyone else having trouble keying words into the Babble grid? It keeps telling me I've already used a word, but it hasn't added it to the list. I'm going crazy!
all you can do is try refreshing... it will straighten out eventually
it is acting up today. yu5/16 not the plural clue, please?
thanks, hurshy. Templeowl, it's like the plural, but with first vowel at end instead.
with a vowel instead of the pl, temple :)
same root, another modifier for the yu 5'
thanks hursh, ry : )
tu 6?
the tu6 -- I thought it meant what you sit on :) alt. spelling, but it means a black liquid used in lithography, and is a German word.
OR... simpler clue would be tu + first 3 letters of where kids go to learn + 2nd vowel
and a plural form tu 7 as well...
good clue ch1212 -- thanks
is babble processing slowly today? ...or is it just my short attention span?
mine is going super slow smaller
Just finished, it got very slow, so I hid the chat log, that made it a bit better. can't stop now, just off to choir proctise, might look in later
Hi Everyone!!! How goes it today?
Slow, MamaBear!
and overly dramatic
es 6?
dramatic?? *shreiks and throws self on floor*
lol angela :)
es6/21 - usually spelled oe, scientific word for being in heat
even all
hola hannah lou lou
Ty, Vicuna -- but doesn't help -- math & science were not my forte!
Hannah, is that a greeting or the score of a match? (just kidding. Evening!)
okay, cnan, try this: es + word for tying up that you do to a turkey or to hold up a bridge - s
Backity wackity
ty Vicuna -- that did it!
...hmmm..... must be a full moon.....
CU 6/30 and CU7/44 (I'm sure it's the plural) PLS HELP!
great clue vicuna
Hi peeps! Anyone else having server probs, or is it just me?
'tain't just you dachef
Seems to be everyone, Dachef.
Yea, Eldre Thalas is wacky today too
not just yu Dachef... I've been sitting here for a half hour and haven't even as yet gotten a menu!
Its good that it aint just me, but its bad that its more frustrating than trying to plaid sand. Will try again later when I've more patience!
think I'm going to go check out the numbers game.....
gary - what you do with scissors + we wish TWM would go aw**
I would have thought only in Scotland would they try to make plaid sand. lol
any clues for the ma 7/60 & ma 8/80
Except we never use the word plaid at all. ;) (Hi folks)
only tartan?
hey ylleria! good to see you :)
howz u Angela ????/
did you get that Gary?
ma7/60 - a plant you don't want in your garden that only grows next month? pl for 8
Yep, only tartan.
ce 6 anyone?
got it! thanks
just ducky Hannah, tx :)
if the ce5 is a pl, the ce6 might be its Latin singular
(They aren't really related, they just look like it.)
ce 6: drop last letter from the 5 and add you and me
mmmm ham and pepperjack cheese sammich
the last pr 5/14?
i'm back -- three to go, all cu... cu 6/24 and 7/36 (the first two) cu 6/30
so how's everyone today? I'm feeling pretty rotten due a nasty cold and had to leave work early and retreat under a duvet.
best clue I saw for that was pr + a southwest US state (this makes the pr 6), drop the last cons for the 5
i'm good yller hope you feel better
ylleria -- sending warm chicken soup thoughts and cuddly blankies your way...
I have a cu6/30 thats an alternate spelling of the Cu7/44
Thank you. :)
cu 6/24 & 7(pl): church leader
*hands ylleria tissues and a hot water bottle* :( My hubby is home feeling cruddy also...
sorry didn't finish -- such as minister, vicar, etc.
that was them -- *pass me the fish, please* and I am DONE!
thanks cybernan and vicuna
Angela, your hubby has my sympathy.
congrats, stidmama
its ok
yeah stidmama
{{{{{{{{{{TOO ALL THAT DONT FEEL GOOD TODAY}}}}}}}}}}}}}
Tigereye -- did you see yourself in the grid the other day? That was just amazing. :-)
*******FIREWORKS********for Stidmama I'm back from lunch. Charcoaled Highland burgers, tater salad, homegrown asparagus, topped off with ice cream and homemade cookies. 52 words to go.
got the pr, stidmama, thanks -- just have to figure out which two words didn't register, now.
thanks rumple -- is that the top of a ha** in your icon? I thought it was a shoe with a really high heel at first!
Hey all... howzit goin'?
I missed it because I was away :( I'll have to flick through past puzzles so I can admire it later
It was the April 21 puzzle :-) lots of points!!!
Hello Jera, the fabulous flying piggy!
Ah -- all I needed to do was refresh -- and I am Done!!!!
Wow doubly special then, thats was my birthday :D
YAY cybernan!
congrats, cnan!
well, belated happy birthday, Tigereye!
{{{TIGEREYE}}}}HAPPY BDAY!
Thanks :)
Going to log off -- maybe that will help to free up some space and make thinks go a little faster for the rest! Back at the flip.
It's another lovely day here, and I must get outside and plant the broccoli starts I bought last week... back later this evening to chat! Bye
Goodbye, cnan and stidmama!
I'm also off for a bit, back later to finish :)
... and Tigereye! :)
dial up is always slow, but this is ridiculous!
It's been painfully slow for everyone, ha--jane. In fact, I give up, for now. I'll try again later.
Awwwww, PORKY!!
can anyone give me a clue for the last wa 4/9?
wa 4/9 wa+ same ending for sweet and s*** chicken
Thanks abe79! funny though, I thought I'd tried that.
yw. i got it thru lots of monkey typing
hey everyone, how's it goin?

su 5/12 = kama su***
cara- sp 6/27 is a type of evergreen. blue sp****
gotta run - bbl
ce 6/24
Going outside to play with my son... gorgeous weather, must enjoy! Later!
Hey, monkeeboi, I posted a little while back to say thanks for that clue, but my message doesn't seem to have shown up
Sorry about the sluggishness, folks. Success.com is on the same server as Babble, and it has been hogging resources for the past hour. Things should be fast again, however.
thanks, dr. god!
cheers Dr_G
That's OK Dr. G- we still love you. People just have to have something to kvetch about!
ooo "kvetch" that'd be a great babble word. loads of points! nice one, marymary
TY for this wonderful program! I am a recent convert.
TY smaller. Yiddish is such an expressive, fun language!
welcome, daisy! scully rocks!
Nice to be wanted! lol Maybe I can play in peace today...S/O has (finally) gone to work, and will be gone for quite a while. Will fit in some housework in between babbling tho:)
LOL marymary! i agree. i just learned the difference between schmuck and shmuck the other day. don't remember which is which now, though. lol, both seem to get the point across
And need we mention how HOT David Duchovny is? I didn't think so.
daisy, babble will teach you to prioritize correctly from now on : ) i have loads of work staring at me, but note how i am ignoring it! all b/c of babble
Hey all :) How goes it?
dreamy yet geeky. such a combo. so down-to-earth
hey tsm!
OMG! Who is the other TSM!? That's bogus :(
I'm teh real TSM!
?? what?
When I saw the spelling (Munkey?) I was like whoa- how weird. Thought she might be a malicious troll, but she seems very nice!
TSM, i hate to be the bearer of bad news, but, i believe it is capone that is the false TSM.
I am nice. Nicer than the other one 8)
hi kids. somthing was wrong with the log for me earlier, I hope its fixed now..
Does a TSM fight to the death result in blood or just a pile of sock lint and bananas?
Well duh Hurshy.
doc - i think it depends whether they make up or not... :(
hi boreetos, should be fine now probably maybe for a bit anyway
Uh, except for the unwarranted Messiah complex. Don't worry, true TSMonkey, you will not be replaced.
yeah, well duh to me but not to her. but i'll leave the yelling to her.
hey doc!
oh come on capone it wasnt that funny in the first time round and it could encourage others to try the same thing. go back to being your usual self (faults and all)
anyone have a hint for cu7,60?
cu 7/60 a compound word. a type of filming shot in movies.
cu 7/60 a style of jacket-cu* + aw 4/10
thnx abe!!
yw
I'm a fashion idiot, but the movie shot clue did it! good job!
Resistance is futile. Your life as it has been is over. From this time forward, you will service us."
Wow this is depressing....
Eeek! A borg in our midst!
Oy. Enough already, faux TSM
why is there a new TSM?
Why do you have to prove you are the real TSM? Because I am, I don't have to tell everyone... besides look at my icon, same as yesterday, my profile is the same as it has been for like.... 5 months?
Hey TSM, I'm almost 56 and grinding temporal parasites in Andorhal ruins.......
it's just capone playing a joke
pleeease a clue for the last pr5/14 ...thank you
What is bogus.... If it is capone, he should be kicked.... in places we are not aloud to speak of!
like the junk!
I just wanted to be you for a day baby, you're awesome! /lick
mo - take the last letter off the 6/27
so, did he have to pay to upgrade just for this joke?
If it isn't capone - I am sure Dr_G would be able to track the ID down through the IP address and email log in info.
you know, anonymity sucks sometimes. We have to be able to trust eachother not to fuck around.
my f word was omitted. :)
it IS capone - if you read the whole log you'll see he has admitted it
dl88 sorry but i dont have the pr6/27 either
lol, sheesh people, already said it was me!
oh the babble drama!
yeah smaller...this is better than as the world turns!
:( I hate not needed drama....
mo- someone gave a really good clue earlier about pr+southwest state and then remove the last letter for the 5
mo - here is the formal def. of the 6/27 A coin formerly used in Israel, equal to one thousandth of a pound.
Babble drama? Oh thats sad... we shouldn't have silly drama...
pr 6/27= pr+ a us state in the west, next to nevada
i hate drama too tsm, that's why i don't watch daytime!
Ach, 37 to go and I think I'm going to give up for the night
its true! this is supposed to be a happy place. :)
Same here. Soaps are the worst.... no offence any one!
ok, so i woke up this morning and found a t-shirt ya left when you were in Florida last month...still smelled all yummy like you, so I fig'd since I'd ruin your shirt if I tried to wear it (smurfs are bigger than you H), I'd /roll a new babble toon while I veged out on WoW all day....no drama llama here.
yes boreetos, just like in dumb and dumber "find a happy place"
oops my geography of America is sorely lacking ,,, must concentrate!
I am going on strike against any other TSM's coming in here ROFL
but, what if Victor Newman is up to something?
heck on victor - he's ugly
Hey, y'all switched soaps on me...that's Y&R...:)
dangstraight, that's y&r. good tv right there. :P
Cosmo Kramer is my enemy!
tndaisy has an icon from the only show that was worth watching
I had m&m cookies for a snack and it was goooood
Gah! Victor Newman!
EWW! What is this on everything, eh, its think and gross...oh! its sarcasm!

OMG that is so my dad! Cosmo Kramer :)
:)

mo - the stat has a heavy mormon population
ROFL! Back in the day, he had the same hair cut = every where curls
I thought your dad was George..oh wait, thats your name.
yeah mo! sorry for the lousy clue, it's a funny word
well, I got to go. Back to work and all. I wish I was outside, its beautiful today. 72, and bloooooooo skies!
Dude.... I am going to smack you with a tuna in a second here...
Who?

what shall i call it? tsm-u or tsmII?
Kiddies, I'll be back shortly, will be nice and log out...I MUST get dressed, at least...I feel like such a loose woman sitting here in my nitie, and it's after NOON! Misss me while I'm gone...I shall announce my return, never fear! (If my daughter was here, she'd be saying..."uh oh, Mama's in manic mode again"). And she'd be right! lol bbs
Hi TSM!
I am Hannah.... same front words as it is back. My dad is THE GODFATHER and he doesn't like when people mess with his daughter... ROFL
OMG WHAT IS GOING ON
ch 6/27?
This makes me want to leave the game for real
We're conspiring to drive you insane, TSM, is that not obvious?
oooh, i don't have that ylleria, let me look!
don't leave US, TSM, it's just capone
tsm...tsm...* turns about * tsm - i'm getting dizzy.
ylleria - take an "e" out of the name of the fastest cat
Capone - YOUR FIRED!

27 to go and it's time to give up - Sharpe's on on ITV :)
nutty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!
sorry about the slowness in clue giving... i'm sudokuing and keeping half an eye on babble
The double vowels or the double consonents. LIstening to the baby crying is making my head ache but she needs a nap.. not conducive to accurate babbling.
Hey all... I'm back... getting hot out there!
CLIFFY!!!!!!!!!!
hurshy and dl88 thank you ... i never thought of going that way!!!
I can chat a bit while the littlie is napping...
My last word... tu5/14... Help, please?! *fish is ready*
nut - watcha doin? don't usually see you this time of day.
bugzy - the abbr for paint remover?
bugzy, that fish looks too fresh, here's one that's a few days old! cliffy - i changed my schedule cause i was getting burned out.
I don't think you'll need the fish, Bugzy.. here's the def to google... A black liquid used for drawing in lithography and as a resist in etching and silk-screen work. Or someone might have a cleverer clue...
Ahh... thanks, Hurshy. No need for the fish on that one :)
nutty buddyyyyyyyyy
And thanks to Jera too, and to Evan for the new fish :)
hey, I got one... another word for butt, add a c in the middle of the blend + second vowel at the end
Did my definition worK? I was trying to be clever...
renniestiltskin!!!
jera I like your flying pig
i'm working on a little something to show the xfiles fans. be back in a minute.
cliff..your photo looks like my kitty http://img.photobucket.com/alb ums/v353/miss_carra/MiscandCat s/gizmo2.jpg
Thanks, NatLT! I thought it was cute...

Could someone kindly clue cu 6/24 and put an end to my misery?
mary has my favorite pig! i guess hurshey needs...chocolate
cu6/24 - a clergyman, or to decide what should be shown in a museum exhibition
marymary: churches have pastors and cu6/24s
Toesy wosey, you still on?
only 100 words to go!!!!

Ok people, I'm baaaccckkkk! Even had time to service a customer while I was away (I'm a secretary, thought I'd better explain that;)
Bless you, cluers!!
2 D's from top 2 S's from middle 2 T's 2 P's
Do you need de5/18 or de4/7?
4 5's and 2 6's
de 5/18 i need - 5 points vi!
pr5/16 and pr6/27
or do5/12?
yes hurshy: de5/18 you do!
i have do 5/12, i do not have pr 5/16!
i have one pr 6/27, is there another which is pl of the 5/16?
Soooeey! here piggy, piggy! Hi All! Hey 'nut!
there is one that is a plural and one that is not; my guess is the one that is not and the word above it
chix! look, i got a self portrait drawn of me today!
Clues for ru6/30 and 6/27 anyone?
grant, if you have the 5 before those, they are pl and past tense of it
what is up with babble today?
grant: think gathered
'nut, well, why isn't your tongue hangin" out?
then 10 points for you, TO - now i just gotta find them
if you have ru5/16, the 6's you seek are the present and past tense
chix, i pulled it in so i could look dignified in the picture.
aww thats not nice to say about youself nut
nut: my piggie would love a pie....any kind of pie
oh, very elegant, indeed!
any clues for the 8's please? I don't have any yet
ANY kind of pie?

Oh Cliffy! I LOVE that tag!

Hey did the real ToeSock ever show up? What happened to the fake one?
oh goody! so can i have a car?
sorry nut, i meant you are only one year OLDER than my son.
capone was the faker
The real ToeSock came, got annoyed with capone, and left.
* sigh * - i feel so old.
The T words are difficult today. can I have hints for just about any of the 5, 6 or 7 letter T words?
don't forget she fired him
anybody out there?
LOL nut
ill be 21 in a week :D
and yes....i would get you a car. if you lived up here you would need it to get anywhere. no public transportation.
That would be news if I thought it would stick.
lol cliffy - i understand, i live in the boondocks
whens your BD carra?
oohh that capone! what a stinker!
may 3
good evening, everyone :-)
so would you buy me a cool car, or would you make me drive a granny mobile? fyi - i wrecked my first two cars.
I was raised in the boonies...but TG I now live in a place that, while not large enough to suit my metropolitan taste, at least has a bus system
my anniversary is may 2
Mine's may 6th carra but I'll be 39 not 21. To be honest, I don't know if I would want to go back to 21. I do hope you have a wonderful, amazing birthday though.
the first car i bought my son was a VW Golf. the second was a hot red VW Jetta.
ok i need a clue for ch 6/33 and the 7/48, please..
Mikey can we see ALL of you please :P
aww thanks you too!
hurshy, there is a pr5/16

I wouldn't take 21 again. But I wouldn't mind pre-kids again on occasion!
why, shorty? that only seems to land me in trouble on here lately :-/ *sigh* besides, you can easily do that, by going to my yahoo profile (link at the bottom of my Babble profile page) :-P
hope you didn't get hurt nut.
Hi All! Just thought I'd jump in to say hello.... *jumping & waving*
pr 5/16 is israeli coin? i thought the 5/14 was? better check my def.
oh I would be 21 again
chic - french spelling of what you write to pay bills
hey mamabear!
MAMABEAR?????????????????????? ??????
anyone have the te 6/27? i'll trade anything after that ('cause i'm working backwards)
chich more the UK spelling than US
My 1st car was a toyota corolla and I totalled that one. My next car was also a corolla and it drowned in a flooded parking garage so I bought an old body shape saab 900 with the insurance money. great car for the 1st 3 years and then it went downhill fast, but I loved that saab!

Hi MamaB, and thanx all for the ch help...

oops.... was a secret gang until now......
oh no they didn't, MAMABEAR.....*refresh* and you'll see! ;-)
yeah we've been confused about that one before cliff :)
aw mama! did you show them the secret handshake, too?
SECRET? i love secrets!!!!
*wonders why nobody else except MAMABEAR and shorty have even said 'hi' back, after he arrived and said good evening to everyone here?* :-/
I think the 4 letter word part of that word is an abbreviation.
Back for a few minutes -- funny chat today :) My first car was a VW Bug, then a Blue VW Sedan, then a Red VW Volkswagon... Hey, it was the 70's. Now I drive a Saturn.
Hi Mikey's mouth
HI, MIKEY ! LOL!
mikey, because if i took the time to say a specific hi everytime someone came in, i wouldn't get anything done over here.
Temple!! shhhhhhh!!!! not "the secret handshake*..... That's better Mikey - now you are winking!!!!! *wink back*

Re: Trying Again got it this time, MAMABEAR! :-)
well I have to take one class over the summer (it is the only time it is offered, but it isn't too bad) but I will have three weeks off before that class starts and three weeks after before fall term starts
Well, I am going to get going now. Night night all TTFN
so...I'm wondering. Why is deyam not a word? What if one were afflicted with many yams? One would need to be deyammed, no?
Oh hey Mikey :P :)
I'm sure you'll put that time to good use...yeah! Only one class over the summer, that's wonderful
I feel soooooo left out :(

Hey Deutsch, like your zebra piggy!
ang-cute pink is definitely en vogue today!
lol, evanonut; the ballerinas (female ballet dancers) do sometimes, sure.....but not us danseurs noble! sheesh.....except of course for the all male ballet troupe from Monte Carlo, 'The Trocs'.....they perform in tutus, makeup, and women's wigs.....and actually dance en pointe, too!!! :-P they're hilarious.....it's all for comedy, of course; but they are real ballet dancers!
oh kermie I love you
TOwl, I have a toy stuffed Kermit (from my then friend, now my husband for 20+ years). I always loved the Muppet Show!

hey angela, long time!
Hi All. Haven't yet finished my first puzzle, but am enjoying my attempts. Any clue for the AR5/14? Thanks in advance -
Leo here! *meow?*
thank you very much Vicuna. silly me, both of my mares are in that conditon right now!
You are all so kind. I will tell her. She is making a slow recovery. It's been five weeks and both her legs were badly messed up. She can put a little weight on one leg, but is allowed no weight on the other.
My boyfriend and I are going on a date in 1 hour I'm going to have to leave in 10 min.
Vicuna, great clue. I'm just not a great receiver, I guess, because I can't nail it. ES6/21, I mean. A little nudge more, perhaps?
datenight!
it has been, boreeetos - I was commuting to MA every day (3hrs round trip) for a month to rennovate a house. :P
oy!
ar5/14 - look involving black turtlenecks and usually sported by students studying the ar4/4 (Ha ha!)
oh, i see Deutsch; i thought perhaps it had only *just* happened.....wow; i sure hope she makes a good recover, although i'll be it's going to be very slow and difficult yet :-/ please give her our best wishes!!!
Stop it boreetos

Wait Deutsch who are you talking about
okay es6/21 again - es + tie up like a turkey or to hold up a bridge - s

Vicuna, Thanks a million, but your first clue WAS enough; I worked it through. Thanks again!
yeah exactly, I'm confused.
he's worth it - like a little brother to me. :)
Deutsch I send my best wishes.
Good work, Kenny! :)
Nevermind boreetos
cassie, I'm still confused, but have fun on your date anyhow!
Vicuna, my new savior, thanks for the AR clue...I despise those ones that are so obvious I overlook them!!
cassie - boreetos was commenting on something I said - sorry for the confusion
Thanks! I'm so excited I'm getting married in 3 years.
ok, Angela; if you want to see my other (right) eye, then refresh your browser window! :-P hehe!
Cassie~ At 4:09 you said you were 22. Somehow at 4:37 you are now 23. Either you just celebrated a birthday or dementia is setting in early.
three years from now? that's some planning ahead.
Mikey if you scroll down the chat log reeeeeeeeally fast - it looks like you're blinking :) LOL
cassie, have a seat on the sofa , now how long have you been having these age delusions?
boreetos because I'm going to finish school at Harvard in 3 years
You're welcome, Kenny. But I think saviours are prone to rough treatment, so I'd better stick to being a humble clue-giver. :)
My BS meter is going off!
*watches as Nut breaks out the specs and the notepad - this oughtta be good*
sofa is my favorite. much better than couch or dabenport.
lol, marymary; well, all the indications are present of one normally residing under a bridge.....especially the 'a/s/l' type interrogation :-/ hence, i decline to 'participate' :-P
* jots down *, thnks she is going to harvard
Sorry everyone for the confusion of my age. I'm really 23.
cassie, i see! Harvard eh? Overachiever you. I went to Art school. I think it's a might easier than Ivy League.
* thinks she is 23 when we all know she is 32 *
ruh roh reorge!
Fair enough, Humble Clue-Giver...I'm looking for the last two HU's I am missing...HU5/14 and HU6/24. I have the HU5/14 that begins tunes by The Lettermen and John Mellencamp.
I agree, Mikey! Very sub-bridge!
* turns shades of pink and red when real age is revealed *
evanonut stop I'm telling the TRUTH! Who believes me
Kenny, all you need to do is switch around the last letters of the 5/14 you have. and pl.
my, how funny; now i could be wrong, but i think the entrance requirements for Harvard generally include intelligence at least sufficient enough to be cognizant of one's own age?
* shows signs of violence and yells at non existent people in this otherwise empty room *
I believe ya -- but haven't been here long enough to know otherwise :)
KU~ hu 5/18- a feature in many dining rooms, holds china
* considers which drugs to administer *
I dunno about Harvard Cassie but I said 28 for a few months after my birthday...of course that had more to do with denial...~shrugs~
Why would I be not telling the truth
Sorry, K 'C'!
Vi...may I call you Vi?...Perfect clues again, thank you.
cassie, when is your b-day?
* doubts herself - draws a stick man as boredom sets in *
Oh, marymary, thank you!
My B-Day is Dec. 31
actually Cassie995, who even cares? it really doesn't matter to me one bit what age you might be, especially since i have no idea who you even are.....and even then, it wouldn't.....it's just a number; we all have to be some age or another, and every age, at some point! :-P
Why yes, you, may, Kenny. And you're welcome again.
Just realized that was NOT the hu you asked for, KC. My bad!
Please, marymary, thanks for taking the time!
mikey brings in a good point. Age is just a number.
and why would you not be telling the truth? well, maybe 'cos one usually doesn't forget/confuse and within such a short span of time, contradict their own age?
*yawns and returns to the grid for a while*
Does anyone know FredandKate they are on here sometimes. I was talking to them yesterday. They were so weird! I don't like them!
so cassie, what did you do between high school and harvard?
* draws stick dog to accompany stick man *
Now, if I'm not being too greedy...TA5/18 and TA6/33 would definitely make me sleep better tonight...
dec 31st eh, did you get a lot of combination presents when you were a kid?
* contemplates subject's ravings about fredandkate, hmm...very interesting *
I had summer break and I played Softball and I worked on my Ballet.
10 points to kenny chuck!
here nut...i have some issues we could discuss if you're bores *lies down on the sofa*..bad childhood...low self-esteem.. lol
dr. nut has now a final report - cassie=fredandkate
well this is an easy one, nut :)
Yes a lot of presents I did get.
I love points, hurshy. And 10 at that! Thank you!!!
tx blue, much better!
Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! Not F & K!!!! Acccck!
ta5/18 would definitely not make you sleep better as it is apparently a lash used by Scottish schoolmasters. Be that as it may, just add a vowel to your previous ta4/8, and then pluralize the result for the ta6
(kenny, if you are curious about why you got the points, read my bio) :)
vi means past tense (i did that the other day too vi)
Marymary do you even know FredandKate?
that'll be $500
i am now missing two measly S 5's
Dr. Nut - I would concur with your conclusion. Very suspicious.
oh yes mary, beware, walk lightly, carry big stick
Vi, I can not repay you for your kindness and clarity. Hurshy, how do I read your bio...and what S5's do you need?
nut nut do i get a share of that? i think my question clinched the diagnosis
lol; marymary, i'm sure they're one, two, three (or more) and the same, somehow! ;-)
Any way to see how high others have scored?
thank you angela, it's great to have one's genius appreciated
sing it with me now - who lives in a mud hut un-der a bridge...
to read my bio, click on my little pink person. and then you will know why i cannot tell you what S's i need. :)
Yes, hurshy is right, I was being careless. How careless of me! But it isn't as if I'm a saviour or anything!
Bye time for dinner! See you tomorrow or later tonight.
I must concede, that I am running VERY short on the words beginning with 'U'. Any help?
hey vi, can i call you 6cuna? i like it. anyhow, I'm out for the day. I've got work to get done. See you all tomorrow. I'm 27 by the way, no wait, 29, no wait 28... 50! 100!!! :) bye!
hurshy, course - dr's assistant's fee, er 200 okay?
markGVA - you can look at the rankings. if you just mean for today, you can find the point total on lickety's page - there are many people who get all the points each day.
lovely nut, thanks! bye boreeeeeeeetos!
Ha, boreetos, very clever! You are welcome to call me 6cuna -- I just don't guarantee that I'll answer! :)
bye boreetos - good to see you!
Honestly you go away for a few hours and the board takes a very confusing turn :)
thanks 6cuna, bye angela!~ good to see you too!
ur5 sounds like a cosmo quiz: how are u in bed? find out how u r***! then pl for 6. us5 uses the double letter tile, pl for 6.
well, KatieW!!! :-D hello there!!!!!
What's the maximum possible points on todays puzzle? Anyone know? ... this is my first time
Fascinating bio, Hurshy. Having gotten ten points already, I can't wait to see what I get when I realize what I'm doing!! Although I always seem to do better when I'm just this side of clueless...*S*
Blast it, 3 words to go and I've got to go feed my family. I can't believe they actually want dinner at a time like this! Well, I'll be back later to finish.
mikey!!!!!!! i saw you keeping an eye on things earlier!
well kenny, there are 1010 left for today - i am missing 2 S 5's from the middle, each is worth five, and i tend to give 1000 to the person who gets me my last word.
rennie...are you here for a consultation?
Hi Mikey. Should be packing for a course, playing babble instead, I know it's an addiction but hey who cares.
Renny!!! :-D well now i'm just smirking at everyone, i guess? ;-) of course the others would all have to *refresh* to see what i mean, wouldn't they? ;-) hehe!
Hey Ren, what fun! DR 'nut is genius, no?
lol, KatieW; well word games are always fun.....and very difficult to resist! ;-) i'm having tea and talking with Heinrich here, who's working on something at his computer, and filling in words and chatting in between! :-P
i give you discount ren
sw 8/70??
oh indeed; i wholeheartedly concur, Chic! ;-) that he is!
Do you have all three Sc5/14 words hurshy?
well nut...personality # 4 told personality # 3 to wipe off the make-up then #4 told #8 to take their meds..then # 1 hit delete and wiped out everybody's points....no - i think i'm ok....
sadly, tigereye, i do
sounds good to me - looks like #4 is keeping everyone in line.
Does Heinrich help you? Dad has just bought his own computer so they can both play at the same time, the squabbling was getting too much! :)
Mark don't mind the madness. the points don't really matter there's a 193 words to find today..
hey chic!!!!!!!! what did dr nut do?
sw8 is pl of sw6, a sample of fabric
LOL Renfield
wish i could be like # 4.......any suggestions dr nut?
yes, eat two dove bars and call me in the morning.
Thanks, hurshy. Unfortunately, the US clues you gave didn't QUITE get through...
She analyzed a person who lives under the bridge just a few minutes ago check back around 4:35 or so
lol, Katie.....Heinrich's English isn't advanced/fluent enough for him to do these grids, never mind help me with them.....so no; he's working on something he's doing, while i Babble.....and we gab here! ;-)
dear dr nut...are those dove candy bars? dove cookie bars, or dove ice cream bars. #7 needs clarification
*scratches head, wondering what Renny's talking about?* :-/
well then, kenny, they rhyme with an elephant's horn-things, does that help?
Or dove soap bars !!!
#4 - candy bar #6 - cookie bar #2 - ice cream bar #7 - prozac
oh, and we each have our own computers of course, Katie; pretty difficult to share one, when we have different things to do.....actually, a desktop PC and a laptop each, so that's 4 altogether :-)
dear friend mikey...friend smaller has loaded me down w/ 8 different personalities....i'm still sorting through the baggage to find my true self! ;-D
frances, #3 gets those cause she kinda stinks
'these are some of our favorite things' mmmm,,,
frances and #3 wears toooo much make-up!
I'll be #7 if I get prozac
don't forget the cheeto's they're on sale right now!
prozac - overrated
evanonut I thought perhaps it was a suggestion that someone wash their mouth out with soap and water!!!
hahahahhahhahahahhahhaaha!!!!!
Thanks, Hurshy, but no. I wish it did. Still working on them, though...
On the 'dove' subject I had assumed soap bars ?:)
smaller - you missed the fun earlier
dear dr nut #1 is a tick and needs to put on some weight. since these come in multi-paks - can she have the rest and not share w 2,4 & 5. they can go spend the night w/ smaller.
dang my delayed timing. it's these shoes
yo sybil - how r u today?
*tired of having molasses brain* Finally, Hurshy, thanks for the help!!!
i tied smaller's laces together.....and took chic's cheetos
maybe #7 should just get a real dove...pets are very relaxing dr nut, don't you think?
dear ren: since smaller originally saddled you with these guys, i say keep number four and pack the rest off to her permanently.
evening all could someone pls give me a clue for the cu 6/24 pls and ty
oh temple, i love kermie!! nice piggies, renny!
*wishes he knew what all these # things are about?* :-/
dear friend t-owl......my brains are a little jumbled....
smaller: shorty was piggy and complained she was being ignored - so i changed to cheer her up
nut, I already am one of the personalities. i play babble for her while the others play other games
that's what friends do t-owl! that's nice!
alright! ren and smaller - on the sofa now!
now i am myself again...refresh
temple owl, AWWWW!!! oh yes, kermit DEFINITELY cheers up Miss Piggy. wasn't she the "original" stalker?
Mikey - they are numbers of personalities and Dr Nut is offering aid to each one. A little dig at our strange friend from earlier me thinks :)
chalker stalker?
yes. sorry i didn't think of piggy first. i am definitely a prima donna! LOL!
too right you are katie, that was fredandkate in disguise
nut, *whine* noooooo, one of them pinches. and one smells bad.
Sherylr1961 cu6/24 you find him (her) in church. Plural for cu7/36
sorry, KatieW; but i really don't follow that? :-/ *feels terribly clueless and out of it*
there's room for all of you, half priced consultation
nut, excellent business sense!!! all those clients just from 1 person. you could retire!!!
shhhhhhhh...smaller, don't blow it for me!
well kiddos - i am out of here! see you tomorrow!
bye temple! :) :) :)
* launches farewell pie at 72 *
bye temple owl!!!
pie? what kind?
ty frances appreciate it
blueberry
as long asa that pie doesn'ty cost me 200/40 minutes lol
*hurshy slaps her cheeks and tells herself to look alive for last 2 words, a la monica geller*
go ahead and throw it then, not my favorite.
nut nut, hit me in the face with a banana cream, will you?
Bye TO
er... i wanted to eat that one...how about shoefly, i got an extra one of those.
cliffopa Humble pie?
* pushes hurshy aside* hey, that's MY favorite...
those are my pies dr nut..... #1
cliffy don't need humlbe pie!
SHOEFLY?? you're giving me SHOEFLY??
actually don't need any pie at all. not if i want to actually go to the beach this year!
i prefer number...two *holds pinky to mouth*
I make a mean shoefly pie, yes I do!
shoe fly belong to renfield......
Sherylr1961 You're welcome
shoe fly is dangerous - too hard...how about... funny cake!
temple - if nut were GIVING anyone a banana cream, i'd let you have it and maybe take a chocolate cream, but nut is being STINGY
i don't STING!
not shoe but "shoo" duh!
# smaller likes funny cake
LOL, ah, this is a much needed relief from earlier
chic - ha, tell that to my penny loafers
LOL chic...i said shoe fly as well!!!! #1 can;t spell
*sighs* :-/
i never heard of shoofly pie before so i just followed everyone else's lead on the spelling :) now if we're having FUNNEL CAKE pass me some!!!!
cake? mmmmmmm oooo what's wrong, mikey?
i've been waiting for someone to come up with a picture of themself (or another) doing the pig thing with the nose. any takers?
Mikey - take it as a sign of santiy that you're lost.
sorry, i don't have any funnels...
what's a funnel cake?
funnel cake is good too...funny cake is a plain yellow cake with a shoofly (molasses) wet bottom
i have funnels, nut, just no funnel cakes
LOL katie!!!
smaller, fried dough!!!
# smaller - you would like it! it's like a fried donut cake!
smaller: have you never had funnel cake?
oh there really is a funny cake??? i thought it was just a pun because we were all being so funny! :) LOL
yellow cake that had diarrhea? mmm sounds great!!!
* gasp * - not know what a funnel cake is!
i guess there is no word 'themself', my bad. if it did exist is would CERTAINLY be in the enable dictionary.
*hurshy is wearing funnel on head now*
# smaller - it's a squiggly donut cake
oh - and i believe a bit of chocolate in the molasses
yikes!! nope, I'm so sorry to distress you all. what's funnel cake?
hurshy - don;t let t-owl pour molasses on you!
cliff - looks like you'll have to don the nose
oh i think you've answered it. ooops
*sighs* stuck with a craving for funnel cake now.....
fried dough fried dough fried dough
summer time fair food staple
let's see the nose cliff
ah, pour away! i'm in the mood to get covered with molasses now!
mikey: waiting for that picture with pig nose
Anyone ever had earthquake cake? It's awesome!
i'm showing #3's painted toes- let's see the nose!!!
i have a recipe for it, chic, but haven't tried it yet
smaller....fried dough (think of a waffle type dough) sprinkled with icing sugar and topped with ice cream and strawberry sauce.....
Chic, THAT i've had!!! ooooooo nummy gooey chocolate!
this is a hold up chic.....! what is a earthquake cake?????
Having never heard of it I have just 'googled' it and there is loads on there about it including mixes and recipes
blueskies, how is that different from a waffle?
I'm outta here...going to have some funnel cake with chocolate sauce and molasses, then follow up with shoe fly pie...a la mode...
well nut, if you won't throw one at me, i will have to throw one at you *launches banana cream*
lol! bye angela!
# 6 wants to smash grapes w/ # 3's toes.....opps stepped in that banana cream pie hurshy threw....
bth spth, sputter - oooh, this is goooood. *walks away from crowd, sits on sofa and starts eating*
the batter is a little different and you "funnel" it (in a squiggle pattern) into a deep fryer....it's an art to make a good one that doesn't fall apart when you flip it in the grease
smaller, you just take some dough and you throw it in a vat of fat, that's how it's different from a waffle
#1,5, & 6 say have some for us angela!!!!
Oh hurshy do so at your earliest convenience. My recipe makes a really large pan of it.
later Nut, Hurshy, Ren, chic, cliff, smaller, Mikey...and everyone!
smaller: the batter is poured into hot oil in a cast iron skillet in a circular/coil pattern. fired dough, is what my grandpa made - actually fried pizza dough topped with a sprinling of granulated sugar
OOOH we're stomping grapes now?!!! yay!!!
sliding down the slipery slope of refined sugar...yuuuuuuummmmmmmmmmmmmm mm
bye, angela!
someone put on some music to stomp these grapes by!
sounds like an"elephant ear" owl!
*hurshy plays traffic JAM*
* pops in tubthumping * - i get knocked down...
not flaky, though - you stretch them very thin so they get a litlle crunchy ...not pastry dough just pizza or frozen bread dough in a pinch
hey nut...you're a little purple!
thanks for the funnel explanations, it sounds so memorable but i don't think I've ever seen it. i'd eat it though! oh- elephant ears i've heard of!!!
*next, dj spins red, red wine*
"..but i get up again!"
Bye, angela
your never gonna keep me down!
*and jump around*
samller: when i worked booth at church carnival, i came home covered with powdered sugar every night!
In the immortal words of Samatha Fox, "Don't you know you can't keep a good woman down? ... Then again, maybe that could be fun..."
lololol "...p***ing the night awaaaayyyy"
Do you still need to S5's hurshy?
Hi Folks!!! ch6/27 anyone?
why yes, tigereye, i do!
ch6/27 - fastest running animal, minus a vowel
my favorite line - "he drinks a whiskey drink, he drinks a vodka drink, he drinks a lager drink, he drinks a cider drink"
like the fastest land mammal, minus a vowel, peri
periwinkle Big spotted cat - take out the a
LOL vicuna!!! Temple Owl - have you ever had one that wasn't fresh? ughh, they gotta be right out of the fryer.
Ren, sorry about the delay. Earthquake cake is a heavy chocolate thing that cracks when you bake it....
well i hate to leave "happy hour" - but leave i must. really. going now. jacket on. lights out.
thanks, Vicuna
well, not 'like' as in a comparison; but like the name, i should say :-P
Se 5/16 any good?
so k chic....i've been dancing in the vat
bye temple :D big smile for you
bye temple owl!!!

k t-owl.....all 8 say byeeeeeeeeeeeee
now i'm hungry AND thirsty... funnel cake and screwdrivers........
(actually, it IS "like," Mikey. Alternate spelling, sez the little question mark.)
Hurshy, could you post your recipe in Babanon?
oh, sure chic
periwinkle You find him, her or them in church
cu6/24 - either a clergyman, or to decide what to put in an art exhibit
evanonut - that's one of my favourite football (as in soccer) songs. We always use to get it played in the ground before the matches.
Frances, I saw that clue earlier and it didn't help me, another clue please?
it's my theme song katie - live by it!
Vicuna, got them with your clue, thanks
periwinkle The cu7/36 egg
missing a cu5/14 - have the one "to swear"
The other one is different only in the last letter and is how Shakespeare describes the Shrew.
Vicuna, thanks again
the mutitudes will bbl.....someone in this party wants to go home and they're fighting over who gets to drive! # smaller does not get to drive! speed limit is only 65mph
okie dokie chic, posted it!
cu 7 / 44 Any clues? thankyou
all of you drive carefully!
cu7/44 - alternate spelling of cu6/30
wow that was quick, Hurshy, thanx!
cu 7/44 : what a lady does in front of the Queen
ah well, guess i'll just get the list for my last 2 words... unless anyone objects...
"maweed" should be a word someday i will meet my pwince and we will be maweed
mawidge - vat bwessed awangement, vat dweam wiffin a dweam

Mawidge is what bwings us togevvew...

Hurshy~ I was thinking about Pricess Bride just as soon as I saw smaller's post
tndaisy, I have the cu6/30 - what a lady does in front of the queen, can't figure out out to make it cu7
I'm giving up for the night. Going away until friday on my 'how to be a better woman course' so will see you all next weekend :)
that's where my mind was but too lazy to type it out!! LOLOL you all!!
perwinkle, drop the e
tndaisy, figured it out, just added an "e"
testing.....is my text visible in here?
bye KatieW -- sorry I missed you today! hi all -- just passing through at the moment...
stidmama, what I needed to do was add the "e" which I did to make the cu7/44
Good Job Peri:) sometimes I still get these grid numbers confuzed a bit...
Yup I can see you mikey
Mikey, you remind me of Sauron...
that's always who you want to be compared to, yeah
periwinkle -- that's what i meant *exasperated sigh* but my fingers and brain are still not well connected! (better than yesterday, though!)
lol vic, the eye
oh ok, thanks Tigereye; i wondered, 'cos i had problems on this server earlier
Oh, now that I've refreshed you don't look like Sauron any more. Sorry!
now he just reminds you of mike the mouth matasow, right vi?
(Of course now maybe you're the Mouth of Sauron.)
hmm; and why would that be, Vicuna? 'cos that's the first time anyone's ever said that, that's for sure
no, Vicuna; this is my own mouth, thank you very much
hmm, hurshy? :-/
um, he's a professional poker player, mikey.
well, i don't think i ever did, or do, Vicuna?
No reflection on your sterling personality, Mikey!
okay nut, i finally found the digital camera and did the pig nose thing - not a great pic, but i made the effort. refresh!
bbl
?? ha7,44 the last ha word ?? Thanks
yay cliff!!!!
ja; well.....i don't look like him, hurshy.....not in the slightest! i look like me, for better or for worse! :-P
cliffopa-- it that's you, how do you have a son at the OCS? did you adopt him when he was 16? :-)
well, you know, you're mike, and he's mike, and they call him the mouth, and right now you're a mouth...
silent - it is a past tense :)
OCS? Owl Correspondence School?
ha 7/44, the last -- compound word of "dried grass" + what plants grow from
ah, i see hurshy; but i'm not a 'Mike' though.....i'm Michael, and don't answer to 'Mike' actually.....but i can't really complain about being called 'Mikey' too much, since i have a tattoo of that lifelong family-given nickname! ;-)
OCS -- officer candidate school -- sorry...
oh drat, sorry silent, i didn't look far enough down.
Thanks
LOL cliff - very attractive!
stidmama - i wasn't able to go in the sun until my late 20's. plus, it's cold up here in the north, keeps me well-preserved (plus had my son at 20, started early)
see on mr. rogers it is Owl Correspondence School, dear OCS.... we do our lessons, and we get a U or an S (we hope for an S)... Owl Correspondence School, dear OCS... Owl Correspondence School, we love you best (we love you best)
OCS for what branch?
LOL, LOL, what branch! HA!!
actually it's OTS (officer training school)
whichever branch the owl is sitting on, of course!
its both, actually
hey AFShortie - it's the USAF, your branch!
ah, unfortunately I was not sun averse in my younger years... I am afraid I look my age these days! *big smile*
Wocka wocka, hurshy!
Okay, I thought it was you
Finished! TADA! Bells and Whistles!
YAY Merk!
I just asked my hubby and OCS is the term used by marines/navy
*laughing so hard i'm crying* (is there an acronym for that?)
sorry, i can't stand to look up my nose any longer, i'm going to go get piglet again.
Officer Candidate School
yep. I was Navy (not an officer), my dad was USAF (officer) :-)
Done :D
Merk - I've been lurking for a while, having had to do the grid later than usual. Congratulations on finishing!
Go USAF!!
congrats, tigereye!
YAY tigereye!
and merk!
shortie - my son called me friday nite and thanked me for being strict with him, said it prepared him for what he is going through now (also said the yelling doesn't bother him much)
go all military!
anybody got a clue for the last two ec 's, please?
that's funny Cliff!
you prob mean the first two ec's - could be an alt spelling of et4, and then past tense
My first two days of boot camp, I cried. I look back and laugh why now.
jeffer, the ec 5/16 is past tense of the ec/46 above it
the 2nd ec is the 1st + d
ec 5/16: past tense of previous ec4 ec 4 (the last): ec + "we" in a different form
just the ec 4/6 now
ty stidmama
hmmm, hurshy wrong :( sorry jeffer
chic - do you think he meant it as a complement? i'm still wondering...........
the last ec4,6 is ec + the abbreviation for United States
ty cliff and kraus too
well, I need to get back outside... more digging and planting to do :-) *i love this time of year* see you later, all!
now i know jeffer is smart i will remember this in future
I will be taking the AFOQT (the officer's test) in October. Hopefully, I can use that to stay in my career field
* looks outside * cloudy and chilly *sigh*
aha, watson, the game's AFOQT!
absolutely Mama cliff! and he still has his humor intact too!
how long have you been in the air force shortie?
afshortie - the best advice i can give you is keep your credit clean
no hurshy you were right - listed twisted
Believe me, I know that. I came into the military later than most and I had to provide my credit report
Going on 4 years now. I love it!
ok, scratch mental note of jeffer being smart :)
lol
well good luck on that test down the road shortie, reach for the sky :)
i tease of course jeffer :)
where has all the goofiness gone (long time passing...)?
Thanks, I have all summer to study.
i know i know - lots do that with me
i knew you knew, jeffer, but did you know i knew you knew?
sorry, but if afshorty wants the job, i gotta work!
gotta leave off the goofing just a bit
Hey everybody!
nut, thou hast stricken me a mortal wound. i weep and mourn and cover myself in sackcloth and ashes.
Okay, I'm still gathering data for my scientific experiment... everybody tell me: what's your sign?
for the greater good, dr. nut will return if that cassie thing returns
"SLOW CHILDREN"
(that's my sign cause i hafta teach 'em)
wish i knew the ce 6/24, hurshy
We are gathered here today to remember the goofiness that was...
Ha. Ha. Very funny, hurshy... this is serious! This is science!!
I saaaaiiiddd....Hi everybody!!!
Hiiiiiiiiii, smithchick! What's your sign??
jeffer - it rhymes with the constanza holiday without the 'iv'
Capricorn
hi smithchick!
ce6/24 - pretend the ce5 is a Latin pl, then the ce6 would be its Latin singular.
Coolio, another Cappy!
Hi smithchick!! can someone please help me with the ch7/48???
i am the 11th sign, and i was born on the 11th. how cool is that?
i'm a taurus
scribbledy dibbledy, delighted to! it's pl of the prev 6, which is a funny way to spell something you can write out and pay with.
Aren't capricorns supposed to be especially brilliant or something?
Thank you blueskies... What is the 11th sign, cliffopa?
Capricorns always say so!
aquariusssssssssssssssss
It's because we are so perceptive!:) TY, Great clue hursh!
aquarius, asparagus
Yes, we are... which is why we seem to have a predominance of them playing this game!
TY hurshy! oh...im a gemini
This it the dawning of the age of aquarius, age of aquarius...
oops - gotta go. chinese take-out is here. jera, you will have to tell me about your experiment,
Hurshy is feeling her oats today, huh?
jera, please, what is this experiment?
I am testing the hypothesis that a majority of Babblers are Capricorns.
hurshy feeling oats? oats downstairs in cupboard... hurshy COULD go feel them.... right now hurshy feeling her keyboard
SCORPIO!
Bye cliffopa! Is your son in the AF? Is he doing well? I've been off of here for a couple of weeks.

Sing: Maresydoats and pigsydoats...
LEO
jera, I'm a cappy, M.
Not sure if that means we are smart, have addictive personalities, or are merely gluttons for punishment... that's a later dissertation...
LOL, Hursh!
scribble the other one is like that just an old-fashioned style past tense
oh, unless you need the LAST cu 5/14 which is an unlikely plural (although my cat cu5 all the time)
I believe that it is all of the above, jera!
'nut, I knew that. me water pisces...
Does anyone have the TU 6 & 7 please?
*raises brow* how you know that chic? you spying on me!
Hi everyone! Any help with the last pr word?
I'm not capricorn. I'm cancer. I'm not addictive. I don't like punishment.
in light of smithchicks 6:22 comment i am one, but my b/day is in september ...
tu6 german looking word, somewhat sim to ru5 tu7 plural
Hah, funny, jeffer!
If you are talking about the PR6/27, add a consonent to the end of the 5 above it.
I get along very well with scorpios!
tu6 - black pigment used in lithography
So jeffer, what is your sign?
thanks again hursh!! only 29 to go!!!
ok any non constanza and non-latin clues for ce 6/24? please

go scribble, go scribble!! (did your mom tell you i helped her before??)
Thanks that *was* the pr I needed. BTW - I'm Taurus
yes she did. she said that this is the first time having a child has paid off.
jera a virgo, i'm afraid
jeffer, it rhymes with what criminals say to the cops - "fine, go ahead, arr*** **!"
really now who would say that, some Pansy a** I'm guessin'
ce6/24 - ch6/24 - h, insert letter before final letter
ouch! i hope she was kidding, scribble :)

CHIC!!! LOLOLOLOLOL!!! you are in time-out!!!
cu ma and sw are the 8's
Hey, smaller!! How are ya? Hubby's been home and we've been running around trying to start the process of building a house. If I've had time to complete the puzzle, I've been lucky. Congrats, minski!!!
where's that abrasive hogback skin now?
Sometimes women wear belts, too, evanonut.
Thanks, hurshy!
besides, chic, clearly nut has friends, somebody's been feeding her!
8's are cu8,80 - ma8,80 - sw8,70
the "abrasive hog back" was playing with her dog because she felt like she was becoming one with the computer chair.
* leans towards vic * - that hursh is in rare form today, or should i say rear form?
just teasing you know....
meaning you'd like to kick my rear for that comment, nut?
suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuure
smithchick, oooo construction. will you have construction workers present for a diet coke break? i'll be right over
*Yes, she is, nut. Feeling her oats, too. the ones in the downstairs cupboard.*
i would but i'm winded from playing chase, be chased by the dog
why does everyone want me to feel my oats? weird weird people you are. clearly i am the only sane one here.
We can hope so smaller! Especially those weeks when hubby is gone!!
Clearly, hurshy...
hurshy if you were sane you wouldnt be here!
very astute, scribble!
if hurshy is the sane one, we be in trouble
scribble, you wound me, you really do.
Sanity is overrated.
what does astute mean?
excellent question - hurshy?
astute: oink is to pig astute is to horn
oospy sorry!! it means "perceptive"
im sorry hursh. ((hurshy)) feel better now?
Or maybe if hurshy were sane, WE wouldn't be here. Perhaps we're all figments of her oat-feeling imagination. Hmmm...
Hear, hear, vicuna!
LOL!
LOL!!!!
Huzzah to all who finished whilst I was making my glorious chart! smaller... what's your sign??
*whispers* you didn't REALLY wound me scribble, but thanks for the hug. ((scribble))
almost there....
btw, i think it's that i'm feeling my oreos
Stay on taget, scribble. Stay on target!
I'd way rather feel oreos than oats!
smaller... what is your sign?? I must know as I am conducting a very important scientific experiemnt!!
and my nestles crunch
i'd rather feel happy!
Jera - did you get mine? I'm Taurus.
yup yup sugar high definitely sugar high
I got you musicmom... Tauruses are in second place...
Good one, nut! Me too.
where's scorpio?
Cool - in second place for what?
Could use clues for 2nd pr5/14 and last pr6/27.
is gemini in last?
Me, too grant...
There are (so far, of course) 5 Capricorns, 3 Tauruses, 2 each of Virgo, Scorpio & Leo, 1 each of Aquarius, Gemini, Pices & Cancer
grant pr+vowel+short for good bye (ttfn-- one of hte t words)
pr + 5th vowel + cross letter +1st vowel add letter after g for the 6
for the six add a consonant.
TY, Musicmom!
smaaaaaaaaaalllleeeeeerrrrrr.. . why won't you tell me your siiiiiiiiiignnnnn???
Clues worked fine. Many thanks.
wow, always thought that jera was a normal one. jera: would you like to consult with the dr.?
smaller must be a busy chick...there must be a construction worker drinking a diet coke somewhere...
im missing hu5/14 and hu6/24....help please?
scribble, if you have the wu's, they are like them
scribble -- where you store dishes in a dining room or where a rabbit lives === and the pl
Sorry scribble - gave you the wrong ones. I didn't have those - thanks Hurshy
tee hee

Huh? Me, normal?? Bite your tongue! Such insults!!!
make it a third scorpio - October 31.
oh then scribble you might as well get those too. liverwu***
jera - think for a minute about WHO gave you the normal label, now is that an insult? i know I'M normal.
Hu 14's are anagrams
Gotcha, mklein!
TY so much hurshy!!!
So it's all relative, nut?
no jera - you're no relative of mine...
my relatives are mostly nuts
no, i'm not related to you either hurshy
Are you sure, nut?? I mean, really??
did i say you were nut?? you are not the ONLY NUT in the WORLD, are you?
positive jera! hursh! well i-----i never!
sorry jera!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i'm an aquarius!!
you better keep hurshy happy, cause if she gets sad she might go sane and then you figments of my imagination would all disappear *poof*
* throws a bag of oats at hurshy * - quite now will you?
*hurshy pouts*
EAT THE STINKING OATS!!!
*hurshy wonders if nut meant quit or quiet*
BUT IF I EAT THE OATS WON'T I BE WORSE?
quiet of course! now eat your oats!
stinking oats? were you carrying the Quaker guy under your pits?
no, oats make you regular - regular people are happy
*hurshy rebelliously munches cheez-its instead*
boy, she's going to be grumpy, not dr. nuts fault
Eating oats = okay, healthy for you even Feeling oats = slightly pervy, I gotta say it (& thanks, smaller)
Clue for te6/27??
Jera, so what does aquarius mean? all i know is that I am one.
feeling oats can be lustful, but can also mean simply lively, peppy, energetic, full of spirit
means we should be storing you with the slappy fish smaller - get in the tank now like a good girl
te 6/27 hi-te** (which we aren't allowed), past tensified
Gotta go water flowers and clean out the van while it is still light. Be back soon.
bye musicmom!!
see ya later, musicmom!
LOL nut, i just thought I got the be extra bloaty since i'm the water bearer.
I dunno, I don't really do zodiac, just know that I'm a Capricorn, which tend to be serious (LOL) & stubborn (hence my finishing as many grids as I do). Leos tend to be show-offy. Libras = balance/calming/peacemakers. Aries = stubborn, controversial. That's about all I know.
bye mm!
Bye, musicmom!
but WHAT are scorpios like?
charming and sexy i guess we are
no no nut they're sting-y hahahahaha
That must be it, evanonut...
yes jera! * sticks tongue out at hurshy *
it is interesting to look at similarities/differences according to the zodiac. my husband's birthday is the day before mine, but we are not at all similar.
stuck on ma6/27 and ma5/16....please help??
bet that Mikey in Berlin is a Leo or Aries
cliffy - his nose doesn't point up?
ha ha ha.
ma 6/27 "father shall I?" "daughter thou ma******"
scribble they are olde englishy like king james or shakespeare, "mother, ma*** (or ma****) i go to the movies this even?"
Mikey = Leo
so what's a good score look like today?
Is the ma8 part of a ma7/8 combo?
hmmm, it looks a little like don knotts to me
yes smithchick it is
hurshy, you taking any drugs today???? * innocent look *
hurshy = silly
he's got the physical & personal attributes of a male Leo. They loooove to be around women, too. Lots of female friends, typ.
drugs - no in fact i think i forgot to take my zoloft oops
That ma7/8 combo made me sneeze a lot today...
what sign are silly people? putty?
i'll be taking drugs tonight, i still have my sleep schedule all screwed up.
brbr... due for painkillers (thanks for reminding me !!)!!
both large ma's involve we4/9
yes i will take klonopin before bed to help me sleep. sleep is harder than you would think for something so passive.
Points to missym for using correct archaic grammar!
that's what i'll be taking hursh
i have to go do homework. bye guys!!!!!!
ty Vicuna, ever so trying to get through all of this!
bye bye scribbledy!
nut - here is your horrorscope for today: A fresh new look will help you unleash some of the ideas you've been keeping to yourself. Mix business with pleasure. You will be recognized for your talent if you aren't too shy or secretive to let others know what you can do.
Hello everyone, bye bye scribble.
like you could be shy ;)
LOL
Oops, sorry for misspelling you, missyem. Trying to get through the grid, or trying to get through to people how to conjugate their verbs in correct 16th century style?
funny cliffy: i have no ideas i didn't play with my co workers i was supposed to get a review but didn't
Bye scribble, hi shutterbug...Thanks for the ma7/8 clues!
for all the capricorns: Focus on work, money and getting ahead. You will interest people who are looking for someone with your kind of talent so let your ideas be known. Romance is in a high cycle. can you feel the love?
but nut - you started the (funny) psychiatrist business, and the pig is your fresh new look - it all came true!!!
Hi Smithchick, is your last name Smith? Mine is too!
hursh, so you imply that babble is actually my work, and work is just for play? interesting theory
and hursh, that's only really funny with a good troll to pick on
theory? thought that was well documented fact.
and now for mine (very appropo) Take a closer look at your future. If you've been pondering over the past, you probably need a wakeup call. Set goals that will help you move forward. Change can be a good thing so let the past go. i need the wake up call.
Yep, it is! Went from Billingsley to Smith...
*ring* - phone for cliffy - WAKE UP!
V- the grid, and no worries on the spelling -- it's actually a joke "hiphop" name from my old work. My first name starts with M, but I'm not a Melissa
still nut, it all came true TODAY, it doesn't have to apply tomorrow
Hmm... I never heard of Billingsley. I'm only 13, so i've always been a Smith.
if you say so hurshy
oops, nobody home. where'd that brain of mine go?
Okay, missyem. Word!
don't get me wrong, nut, i think these horoscopes can usually apply to anybody if you want them to enough, and i think astrology is complete (i have to say it!) hogwash
in you schnoz cliffy!
Well, there are a whole lot less Billingsley's than there are Smith's!
HOGwash, get it?
Wocka wocka!
*grins*
* weak laugh *
is that where it went? hmm, looking....
methinks nut no likey hursh anymore... hursh sorry so goofy, hursh can go away now if you want
cliff's digging for china - look!
nut LOVES hurshy
i think it fell out. maybe into the chinese take-out?
:D
HI all, we6/36?
How could nut dislike anyone whose name is a homonym for a brand of chocolate?
what you did in the garden (past tense of we 4/9)
precisely vic
we6/36 - removed we5/20 from the garden
*hurshy refrains from another fat pig joke*
cliff, thanks, I tried that word earlier and it wasn't accepted.
well, gotta go scan pics for the hubster. nite peoples.
don't have either wu word, help please
Goodnight, cliff.
peri, liverwu***, and pl
nevermind, found the wu words
nighty night cliff
wu's- German sausages
scan that nose pic!
i saved it nut, if you want it later :)
nose pic. funny :)
Bye cliff and hi periwinkle!
Hi smithchick!!
Peri! What's your sign??
hursh, the fat pig joke?
no, cliffopa's nose pic
Don't worry, peri. She isn't trying to pick you up.
got a late start and getting tired, help please with the we4/8 and we518
we should set of a site to commerate the funniest babble icons used.
found the we4
plural of tiny = we4
we4/8 small ones
we5 add a cross
hehehe
awww, une so cu4!
Jera, found the we5 right before I saw your clue, thanks
Now tell me your sign, please peri! I'm conducting a very important scientific experiment...
Jera, do you need to know my sign?
we could have a weekly top five
it would have to list what the theme was, nut, because many funny ones are punny and depend on knowing that.
Yes, peri, that's why I asked...
indeed!
set it up, nut, set it up
Okay, I was born on Feb 19 which according to books I have looked at makes me a Pisces. I am actually on the cusp Pisces/Aquarius. When I was younger I liked to think I was Aquarius cause I liked the song. I have qualities of both signs. Is that enough information, Jera?
anyone ever wear a new shirt to work, only to realize it shows more cleavage than you intended?
as if i could!
I think so... ty, peri! *goes to scribble in her chart*
evanonut, never had that problem :) not much cleavage here 8-)
*hurshy really has to resist pig teat joke now*
I've never actually had more cleavage than I intended...
Jera, when wil we know the results of your experiment?
go ahead hursh! i kept looking at my desk, and all i saw was boob!
Jera, marigold is an Aquarius
It is on-going, peri... results so far...
Nut, are you a hoochiemama?
well nut, as long as you didn't pop out at any point, a la rachel green, i think you're ok.
hoochiemama, i like that. i should change my name.
Was it a wardrobe malfunction, nut?
*sings* lemme tell you bout minnie the moocher
Capricor = 5, Taurus, Aquarius & Scorpio = 3, Virgo, Leo = 2 each , Gemini, Pices, & Cancer = 1 each
no malfunctions ;-}
I love hoochiemama shoes!
...Hidy hidy hidy ho...
did you get mine jera?
Aquarius = 4 w/marigold... see what I mean about on-going?
heedy heedy heedy hee
Jera, did you get marigold's
Yes, shorty... Leo, right?
right!
well, thanks for turning three hours work into 5 guys, you're the best!
Well, I gotta scoot & go do the family things... later all!
say, are all real lions born in august or late july? and all bulls in late april and may?
i mean wouldn't it be awkward to be an aquarius lion?
second wa4/9 please
Of course they are, hurshy. I thought everyone knew that. And all twins in June.
and all scorpions...
I was born in aug sooooo ye** august
wa4/9 - Scottish for worst, think of what's going on in Iraq and add a two-point vowel in there
thanks Vicuna, another new word for me
two-point vowel, ha! that could apply to more than one though.
to the extent that "p" is a vowel it could
hello...am i working
still need 77 words, will never finish tonight, but that is okay.
If you're the Bush in the White House, no, you're not.
no no vi, hurshy looking at the vowel, and it has two points, one top left and one top right. but I would also have two.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
And once again... wocka wocka!
oh vi, you are going to LOVE my icon for monster day.
Bye, people who left...hi people who've arrived... Hubby keeps interrupting me.
i'll give you a hint: it starts with a "ch" and ends with an "eney"
sp6/27?
Pretty darn creepy, hursh. When is monster day, anyway?
sp6/27 - evergreen tree, also means to smarten up
sunday. i found one of him shirtless but that was TOO scary so i just got a head shot.
sp6/27 Think of a tree
sp 6/27 a kind of tree
head shot HA!
Yikes!
Though him on the job is even scarier than him presumably at liesure.
kayze, that sounds so zen. think... of a tree...
Thank you kayze and daisy!
do androids experience a difference between work and leisure, vi?
kayze and daisy, HA!
and TY vicuna!
Hi Everybody! I am new to this game. Any advise?
Well presumably liesure is when they aren't strangling so many people with their bare hands. (Just shooting them in the face. Hmmm, you're right. no difference.)
YW, smithchick! :)
Kayze, get out while you still can, this is a very addicting game. But the people are very nice, although are a little bit crazy.
oh, oh, oh, we better stop, if i float up to the ceiling i won't be able to reach the keyboard
who you callin' crazy? i KNOW you ain't talkin bout ME peri
Peri, It can't be worse than teaching a group of 5th graders all day. This is relaxing.
A LITTLE bit crazy? Hurshy, you aren't trying hard enough!
6th grade is worse...trust me
hurshy, not to worry, wasn't referring to anyone in particular and I meant crazy in a fun way
talk to the hand, peri
welcome kayze
hi everyone! I decided to come back for some more. But, I have to ask you pros: How long does it take you to complete a puzzle? I think it would take me allll day!
HI abe and shirin...and a belated hi to go with my ty to daisy and kayze...
shirin, it depends how many words, and whether you use the list when you slow down. when i used to use the list, i could do about 100 words per hour, or more. but now it can take me a lot longer.
hi smithchick
(peri - hurshy in extremely silly mood today, just so you know)
taking a break, may be back later
wow, that's impressive. I have working about an hour on this and I only have 42 words. I cant see the light!
hurshy, no problem
well it IS harder if your screen is all dark, shirin. yes that would be quite challenging.
anyone have the first hu 5/14?
abe if you have wu5 it rhymes with that
haha, maybe I should plug in my computer too, huh?
*nods sagely*
thanks hurshy!, i could have sworn i tried that 8 times...alas...
Bye, periwinkle!!!
a lass, a lack, and whoa is me
wow you could really read innuendo into that if you wanted to
Any particular reason for the whoa?
well vi (and mind you this only occurred to me after i wrote it), a lass has a lack which (not being a lesbian) would make me say whoa, stop...
you are very too funny hurshy. Is that babe as your icon?
no it is a pig flying
Very too funny, indeed!
babe, the flying pig?
you know what, i also just noticed - i think there is a black square over my pig's private parts! how very funny!!!
where did you ever find this pig?
oh, just googled pig flying or something
Hurshy, you are as modest as you are talented!
i didn't notice it before, just seemed like shadow, but if you look more carefully...
yes, no pulling a nut for me, vi! lol
oh dear if people don't know nut that could sound VERY crass
Well, I'm leaving you to your fun, hurshy... Don't enjoy yourself too much!!! Bye all!
The interpretation varies depending on the sex of your pig.
oh, bye smithchick. i will cease and desist all fun post haste.
Well now don't deny yourself all fun...
Bye, Smith (nee Billingsley)!
if i have already enjoyed myself too much, i must hope my function dips below the x-axis so that the integral and return to zero.
CAN, not AND.
Thanks for your advice. I have 72 words today. Must go and grade papers.
see that was very serious. i can be serious.
I don't think you want your functions dipping too low, or we'll have to put you on life-support.
Kayze, 72 is very respectable for an early attempt. Goodbye!
and then i will become a vegetable, and then i will get eaten because what else is there for the jews to eat today?
oh NO there go my sillies again
Certainly it is dangerous to be a vegetable with all these pigs around.
you are very witty, hursy. I must go make some dinner for the little guy so hope to "see" you all soon.
bye shirin! :)
sigh. today is one of those days when we really miss joelgee.
Goodbye, shirin.
Good evening dear all. May I have some insight into the first and last set of pr 5 and 6? I am bewitched and more than bothered.
'sets' I meant. And bewildered.
mab - they are two spellings of some old israeli coin
*gasp* mab us4 a word!
oh and the first pair ends with sounding like the people the grinch hated
my first clue was for the last pair
pr 6 is the pr plus the mormon state. pr 5, drop the last letter
Oh, I shouldn't have corrected my grammar. sorry. Ok, thanks hurshy. I look that clue up. We're obviously not talking shekels here.
first pr5/16 - a Malasian boat, I understand. Ends with possible spelling of what an owl says. and pl last pr5 - Israeli coin, p + start of a veggie that ends in bega. and alt spelling for 6
furthermore, the oldest sister on Charmed (Shannon Doherty's role) + goodbye = pr5 plus a silent letter for pr6
and now, in the words of james whitcomb riley, WHAT delightful hosts are they— Life and Love! [hurshy substitution: Babblers] Lingeringly I turn away, This late hour, yet glad enough They have not withheld from me Their high hospitality. So, with face lit with delight And all gratitude, I stay Yet to press their hands and say, "Thanks.—So fine a time! Good night."
So you're going gentle into that good night, then, hurshy?
goodbye Hurshy, thanks so much for your babbling today
hmm, weird a's with carets
oh, bye hurshy. Very dramatic. Well done.
goodnight hurshy
no vi, i rage, rage against the dying of the light
so where do I get the pig memo? ie so many piggies but not me
anyone have the first ra 5?
*bows, exits stage right.*
I'm still Ophelia from Shakespeare day. Didn't feel piggish today.
hi everyone, back after a super wonderful massage to finish, gasp, last 73 and good nite hurshy, :)
missyem, go to Angelsong's Babble Page, link to right, and follow her links to Babbler's page of Icon themes. And welcome to the madness.
abe, when you think you might throw up, you might re***, sub. first vowel
ra 5 = what a chick does to be born, change the first letter to an r
Brava, brava!!!! Encore!!!! (thunderous applause and tossing of roses, not thunderous tossing though)
thanks for the theme clue :)
thanks joey, i've been having trouble with the words with that ending all day
hey mab...these are my ten little piggies..... Yom Hashoah 4/25/06
joey your hints are so much less oblique than mine!
thanks vicuna and missyem for the prs.
thanks, missy, I try hard. I know how frustrating this game can be
well, I am DONE so I thought I'd hang around for a little to help others, before hunger & studying tear me away....
And fine set of piggies they are. Watched Garden of the Finzi-Continis again today.
encore? really? well ok... goodnight sweethearts, well it's time to go (doo doo doo doo doo) goodnight sweethearts, well it's time to go i hate to leave you but i really must say goodnight sweethearts, goodnight
Congrats, missyem!
congrats missyem
If you sing "goodnight ladies," the rest of us can harmonize "pick a little talk a little" in the background.
thanks! I agree w/ Jera that being a capricorn means thinking you have to finish the grid, because, well, you can & it's the right thing to do! or some such feeling of obligation / internal coersion :)
and a taurus just keeps working at a grid 'cause we're stubborn that way!
Hurshy--when my dad used to siung it to me it was "Goodnight, sweetheart, sleep will banish sorrow/Goodnight sweetheart, till we meet tomorrow/ Dreams enfold you, in them dear I'll hold you, Good night, sweetheart, Goodnight". And so I sing it to you, and to Stiddmatt, and to all my friends the bubbly babblers--sweet dreams
and a libra works to finish the grid because she needs to make up for someone who doesn't finish it
Darn. The log is moving so quickly that I missed hurshy's encore. I'll bet it was heart breakingly beeeeuutiful.
Lovely, hetty. Good night.
I've got sun in Capr. w/ Libra rising, makes sense I feel internally driven, lol. Thought Libra was a diplomat, not a do-er per se
and on that note, I too will be you all "adieu"
Night missyem, sweet dreams.
Adieu, adieu, to yieu and yieu and yoo-oo!
goodnight missyem
et tu, vicuna? Good night.
su 5/14? sorry to be asking for so many clues, i'm in the home stretch, will return the favor...
is there a pig theme tonight?
yeah, we're all piggies today
su 5/14 - biblical wife, change first vowel to the u
Great clue Joey:)
thanks, tndaisy
thanks again joey, i would have never gotten that!
that was a good clue joey!
you're very welcome. I am here for a little while yet, while i listen to baseball
ch6/33?
ch6/33 english variation of how we used to pay bills before debit cards
ch 6/33 a form of payment, not cash, think of american express travelers...
ch 6/33: British spelling for a substitute for money
ch6/33 - HOw the FRench may pay a bill with a ch**** plural for ch7/48
Oh my - I forgot that qu was even there. thanks!
I suppose I should go for a bit and shower b4 the S/O gets home, but I'll be back if he hasn't arrived in the meantime. Otherwise, I'll see you all tomorrow.
ce6/24?
Hey BGL did you finish?
tu5/14 anyone?
Great clues!Just started.I got 67 words without clues now I'm struggling.
I don't have it BGL
ce 6/24. take off last letter of ce 5, add "you and i" ending
No, we had internet problems this afternoon and it kept kicking me off. I'm just getting back to it. I have 136 words right now.
ce - squiggle, stick last vowel squiggle
BUMMER!! On your day off too. That stinks. Thanks gang for the clue - got the ce
tu 5/14 - plural of what you throw over a tent, but change the first vowel to the u
Hi everyone. tu 5: think of paint thinner
Howdy! I am back to find the last 11 words.......
Thanks Inge. Hey - it is supposed to freeze here tomorrow night. Should I cover the lily of the valley?
Hi bbnaz.
Oops, I had the tu5 - I needed the tu6
freeze? it was 91 here today!!
Green thumbed husband says "no", do no t cover
Tu6 - behind or bottom - slang
tu 6 --- a fancy french spelling for your backside (I doubt that is the real def.)
Thanks Inge. I owe my flower bed to your green thumbed hubby. <G>
Okay c words are killing me tonight. How about ch6/27 - the very last in the list.
musicmom, where are you that it is going to freeze?
S.E. Ohio!
ch 6/27- like the big cat, minus an e
ch 6 is an animal that runs very fast
Thanks Abe - that's another grey box for me.
oh, that explains it. thanks. stay warm. I am in Texas - i think that we might have had a week of winter
okay I just don't get the MA words. I have the 4,9 but the rest baffle (or is that "babble") me....
us 5 or 6?
Lots of them based on the root that is next month. I monkeytyped most of them using the point numbers.
Nope can't help you abe.
no frost for us here, how high up is your town?
us 5 and 6 both use the double lettered tile
bb- the ma 8 and 9 are compound words (the 9 is a pl) of next month plus nasty plants in the garden.
ma - the biggest ones contain the unwanted things that grow fast in your grass
Joey - thanks again for the clues. Again I missed the qu
thanks joey. you are the lifeline for my tired brain
happy to help, make that love to help after all that I have gotten here
inge - we are in a valley in the foothills of the Appalachian mountains.
4 words left, ahhhh
Okay I need to dig in. I'm missing one s and one p but I don't know which ones because firefox froze and I lost my lickety list.
Don't worry, we will still ahve at least one more snow! We haven't had the "onion" snow yet. :)
Thanks! living here in the desert I don't think that I have ever seen that particular fiend.
what's an onion snow?
ive gone 26 years without seeing snow
Onion snow is the snow shower that happens once the onions start coming up. Usually end of April or beginning of May.
I'm not counting on an onion snow this year. We didn't have enough snow during the regular snow season. We haven't run the heat in two weeks.
How about the 2nd pr5/12 --- not sure that is what I'm missing but I think it is.
ch 6, 27? I have all the other ch's...can't seem to make the points add up
Snow is the best part about living in Michigan. With a fresh blanket of snow, and no need to go anywhere, thre is total silence and serenity.. wouldnt want to live without it.
ch 6/27. like the big cat, minus an e
feather - make it like the big cat only - one e
pr 5 - what chevy chase used to do on SNL, followed by fall, make it plural
ch 6.27 - the fastest big cat and drop 2nd vowel
Can't help... I only have 2 prs as it is... I agree, we may miss an onion snow...
ooo, i'd have never gotten that on my own, thanks!
second pr 5 is preceding pr 4 with an e
I love snow and would move further into the snow belt except I would have to leave my husband to do it.
dance of doneness. and eyestrain
I need a pr5/12 that follows a 6/21
snow I love... ice is another story then there's the gravel that they mix with the salt for the roads taht ends up in the front lawn...
mm - that is my clue - Chevy Chase pr..fall, make it plural
for that pr 5/12 change the last letter from the previous pr 5/12 to a consonant
YEEEEEEEHAAAAAAAAAW! i am finished. and i still have hair on my head although not much!
MM thats the 4/5 with an s
pr - or take the grey things with the long tails and add a p in front
AHA!!! i get it. Thanks --- sorry so dense.
Can anyone get me started on the sc words?
hello all! snow! I'm sitting on my deck right now in my shorts, talk of snow feels very foreign to me at the moment--though I do love it!

Bravo BBnaz

sc - all comes from that dirty work called -sc..work
bye joey
bye joey, thanks
ye4/7 slang version of yes
ye 4/7 - opposite of no, slang
now I am really gone. nite all
yu5/16 -- one is a pl the other is your 4 with a vowel on the end.
goodnight all.
thnx musicmom and joey
thanks, sis. I knew they were probably all related, I just couldn't monkey type the right one!
Night abe.
Okay I promised my family a reasonable dinner hour tonight so that I can get back on at the flip. I will try to get in here and help prior to then but in the interim, thanks for being so good to me!

Hi faerie. I had difficulty getting on the site for a few hours in the afternoon.
Music are you finished I haven't even read back in the log. I finished up while the chat log was down.
Jain: In the heart of Katrina land eh? Well, it will be OK, last year was a record breaker. Did you have any damage during Katrina?
Yep i'm done
BTW, if you want to have fun, I have made a grid that creates 770 words- I will email it to you if you'd like to mess with it- it is a blast!!!
Mab you had trouble also??? So it was pretty much wide spread then maybe because I talked to Angelsong and her chat was also down. Go figure.
MM: You are done? I am just getting started. Yeah for MM!
my chat wasn't ever down that I saw today, but it has been lagging all day
Well Congratulations Music. I love when I can finish one of these and actually have time to give clues or just chat. That doesn't happen very often. LOL
Yep I started early this morning but then focused in after dinner. I'm here for another 30 minutes or so to clue if anyone needs it.
oh! Hurrah musicmom!!!!!
slow for me too all day as I jumped on and off ce 6/24 anyone?
Kristinc: The M's are doing awful this year. Bounce out Bavasi and Hargrove, is what I say, you?
It doesn't happen to me very often lately faerie. seems I'm finishing late and need to scoot off to do something else. OR I'm not playing and/or not finishing at all.
Hello Musicmom et al. Looking to finish my first one, although I can only be here for about another 30 mins myself and I'm still 29 shy...
kristin drop the last letter from the 5 and add **A (our country)
take the 5 above it, and change the ending to you and me
the ce is the same as the 4/4 + not them but ** small two letter word.
bless you mm! that was driving me nuts Also, I'm still not getting the cu compound word clue and feeling pretty silly since everyone seemed to get it

No way Jai --- she is too young to remember that<G>
jeffer - use the double letter tile.
cu 5/14 I might cu*** someone if I am anger with them. Then the next one is what I just did. Change the last letter to the cross letter
Kristinc, where in Mexico? We travel there all the time. We have a time share in PV, and Maz. plus exchanges. Where did you go?

Just saying there is w5 that looks like the hu5 --- it's a weiner.
thank you musicmom!
Any help available with DE5/18?
Scottish origin of the word whisky for the us/5 the 6 is plural
hu5/18 --- what you store dishes in or where a rabbit lives.
de5/18 ends in the sometimes vowel.
add the sometimes vowel onto the 4/6
Went to Cabo in 2001, on an exchange, and vowed never to go there again. The prices for a tank top were $30. I told them I could get the same tank at the Bon for $9.99. But PV, and Maz, we really love. Where did you stay outside of Cabo?
Yes, InDE***!!!
de4,6 + y
okay, got it! 12 words to go... Anything for the tu6 (i'm assuming the 7 is a form of it)
Thanks, Kraus, Nat, and MM. Who knew that was a real word? Hmmmmm.
do you have the ru 5/16? change the first letter to t and put a squiggle letter in the middle. Yes the 7 is related.
Ah, just saw yours, Jaianniah. Thanks a million!
Fancy way of spelling what u sit on.....TU
the tu sounds like an alternate spelling of a baby's butt ( or several of them )
tu: A black liquid used for drawing in lithography and as a resist in etching and silk-screen work.
how many words are there in this one?
193 Mark
we stayed the Presidente resort, had great facilities--rooms were so so, food was wonderful so overall it was a great trip--you never spend that much time in your room anyhow we just bought a few small things in San Jose del Cabo and prices seemed reasonable.
ROFL .. only have 61 ... forget it ... especially since I am unwilling to upgrade
DO5/12 anyone? 24 to go...(in 17 minutes...uh-huh)
ciao tutti!
mark you can still just play to have fun, it took my like a month to ever finish one
mark you don't need to upgrade to grab lickety's list at the right. It gives your the first two letters of the words and the point values. VERY useful
Kristinc: Try Maz or PV next time. Did you go on any tours while you were there? The tours every place in Mex., just open your eyes to what a wonderful country we live in.
do word add a cross on the end of the one you have before it.
one of those old english words or more do

su5/14 Abraham's wife in the Bible change the first vowel.
Mark - that would be Lickety's Babble Clues. Sorry.

Kristinc: Yeh, nothing like Mexico. We went up in the hills in Matzalan and saw how the real Mexican people live, and in PV, we went on a horse back riding tour, where we had to go over rivers on a rope, etc. Quite an experience, never will forget it.

hiya stid! beautiful day today
leslie that clue was yours
oh --" about "-- I finished this morning, and worked in the garden a while, and overdid it (not unusual) so haven't been able to hop online like usual.
wait, where?
te6- A computer is high ____, a pencil is low ____. make it past tense.
mam, have you got the bedding for horses, not hay
right before you said yo stid
Thank you natLT...I can call it a nite...good luck to all and a pleasant evening.
tr5 & 6?
oooh ok thanks *blush* 4 left...
jane, two people who are fighting can call a tr***
harpjane - think white flag
ed 6/24 - past tense of ed 4/6
mam, sorry, sw+1st vowel+hook+letter to cross
thanks, lynx
kristinc -- wasn't it just lovely! we got the broccoli, kohlrabi and chinese cabbages all planted, and a few more areas cleared out. This clay soil really hold on to weeds!
good night mam20!
done!!
YAY LESLIE!!!!
we have clay soil here as well, we have t add soil every year so that we can plant, if we did too far we just hit boulders, i think rocks grow when we are not looking
YAY LeslieAnn!
did you do the sudoku today leslie?
well done leslie
33 words left.... can he do it??
i was just was pondering whether to start... expert... probably not :)
yes scatty -- same thing here -- except most of the stones are from the mistake the septic installers made... nice river rock that we save out and put in other places around the garden. :-)
he can cying!
expert? there's an expert mode...?
I have been trying, it's really tough
go cying go!
gmorning all. hows everyone doing.
starts easy
oh sudoku... yea, i haven't visited there yet today
without checkpoints, i'm pretty sure i couldn't do that.
stid, you you know anything about sunflowers, i have a really poorly one, it was pot bound when my friend bought it round so i've re-potted but its still ill
stid, we built some planter boxes this spring and they are filled with wonderful, non-Seattle clay soil. We are co-oping a garden at our house with two other families...should be fun
hi oggy
hrmph, how is 'teched' a word but not 'tech'...
oooooooooooo word mentioned
watch it crying, no words in the log please
cying, please don't type words in the log
scatty, assuming you mean "Helianthus annuus" they're pretty hardy, did you rough up the roots when you replanted? Sometimes that helps it grow the new ones it needs to feed. They really do like a lot of sun, but in my experience they don't like to dry out completely.
oh whoops! sorry, didn't realize that. :-(
it's ok, but we might have to punish you next time ;)
that's ok, we all have done it :)
kristinc -- we have a few raised beds and brought in 25 yards of good soil when we moved here 6 years ago... still, can't do an entire 1/2 acre in boxes, planters and such.
hmmmm.... interesting... i do have these 10 words left though...
us 5?
we can give clues if you need some help
us + "what" in spanish
stid, true for my kind of vegetable for food gardening, it works out perfect, 3 8x8 boxes and all our wood was free so we're happy campers. btw-overdoing yourself? :(
ummm -- kristinc, one other thought: you know that you need to wear gloves if you play in the dirt right now, so you don't get that cat-borne disease? They really like planters and raised beds...
that one uses the double letter block -crying
i eased the roots out, i've kept it in the greenhouse to see if the warmth will help, typical shop owners, any way to make money, they don't look after their plants properly, . this years my friends have been bringing things down to put in my greenhouse, i've got no room left now, having alot of trouble growing lobelia for some reason, all the other seeds are fine
now, there's overdoing, and OVERdoing... today i just overdid the banging soil off the roots of the weeds while bending over (dumb, dumb, dumb!) and will be fine by morning :-)
whoa... that one's weird... (er those two were)
yep...thanks for the reminder stid and washing hands really well too, even w/ gloves :)
good stid, take care of yourself
thats the one thing i dont like about gardening, you get your beds sorted for planting and the cats think you have done it for them to make their lives easier (i don't think so)
thanks! only 2 left...
:-) or you could try an 85-pound clueless german shepherd dog! he's cute at least...
go cying go, (sorry I have been calling you crying, I saw an imaginary r in there)
scatty, yeah they do like those beds (can you blame them...freshly tilled soil) I'm pregnant so stid was looking out for me.
i take a beanbag outside and sit on it as i can't kneel for more than a few mins, if you lay at an angle its quite comfy
:-) i get that often, thanks for your clues!
of course where we live there are also deer, raccoon, bear and the usual assortment of coyotes and neighborhood dogs... someday we'll have a fence around the veggies, at least.
TA 5.18 and TA 6.33 pls
ta + a **** old owl, drop the i
thats why you have to be exra careful, before you dive into the soil, see if its been disturbed over night first or you might get a surprise
ta 5/18: add the second vowel to the end of the previous word, then past tense for the 6
stid...oh deer! We used to live in rural Oregon...the things we'd do to keep deer out of garden! (shiny cd's--like the just ones you get in the mail and bells tied to string did the trick for us)
stid, don't the deer get to your veg
ma 7 and ma 8...
please help...... wu 5,20 wu 6,33 Thanks!!!!
Thanks leslie and stid - again!
scatty, I might try the beanbag thing, the little stool and my bigger belly won't cut it too much longer
wu 5/20 - not the best but the wu***
cy - next month + what we don't want in our gardens
well, sometimes, mostly they go after the fruit trees and the roses... the smell of dog seems to keep them from browsing too long. And I spray a really nasty concoction of chili pepper and rotten egg in water on the leaves we don't intend to eat. :-)
cy, compound word, next month + plants you don't want in your yard (and plural)
interesting... thanks scatty.... hmmm
your you might want the plants if you are a pot head
oh! got it! thanks natlt and scatty! i'm done! *whew* and not a moment too soon!
not your, I meant or
have you finished cy
I think my brain went to bed already

Lickety! as predicted, your list really helped today. Did MrP ever get the phones sorted out?
and I'm done now too! Thanks to Nat, I didn't ask for clues tonight but I surely benefited from yours so thanks!
YAY kristinc!
you are very welcome momma k glad you are done congrats
nat is a super-st4/4, that's for sure
Hey stidmama - No I don't think mrp got the phones sorted, but being a public holiday today - it's not a drama. Tomorrow will be - but mrp is off on holidays!
What will the flip bring us. My guess - 213
lickety...what is your public holiday this time of year? (just curious...the US thoroughly lacks public holidays in March and April)
got my new icon for tomorrow
oh, I am hoping for something less than 200 but more than 150. outside those parameters there are too many obscure words!
here here stid, my favorite size too!
i think i'll be going to bed now. good night folks!
Anzac Day : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A nzac_Day

Thanks KristinC - Actually can you believe I'm working! Arrrghh!
ooh boo! Sorry to bring up painful things :)
good evening, all -- have things speeded up any?
Stidmama - how kind - don't think I'll make it though. Still to get PR 6.27, AR5.14, EC 4.6 5.16, ET 4.6 6.7 and that blasted ED 6.24 (which I just cant get!) and then i've lost count in Ss.
hi nan, working a lot better than ten hours ago!
ed6-ed+do 4/5
ar 5/14: descriptive of someone who likes painting, drawing, doing crafts, etc.
kristinc - Babble is a great distraction ;-)
ar 5/14: "painting, drawing, music, literature" the ar** + sometimes vowel
et4 and 6 frosting glass w/ chemicals and past tense (use the point values)
anything you can do, I can do better, but the talking horse, MR. ed6 it even better!
ec 4/6: ec + "we" in a different place in object form
ec 4 & 5 (past tense): similar to rebounding sound -- change last vowel to an e.
pr 6/27: pr + southwestern state, remove the h for the pr 5
pr6/27 - two parts, first part is the start of a fruit that makes you regular, and the second part is a way of saything thank you with a H on the end
ar5- second ar** and crafts + ending of cu 6/30
et 4 & 6 (past tense): create a design in glass using acid
sp 6/27: a type of evergreen tree, rhymes with tr 5/14
sc 4/6: sc + fifth vowel + cross letter sc 5 after that: add a vowel, then change the vowel for another. sc 6: add the plural letter sc5: remove the e
Flippers!!!!!
sp 5: sp + rodent with a thin tail sp 6: plural
Jaianniah!
