how's jaianniah doing? i didn't get to ask earlier when you were on... thought about her all day!
Goodnight, ladies, it's been esp. lovely & let's really do the PNW boggle thing! I'm coming back to this tomorrow, after I take my exam.
wassup, I must hit the sack, but you'll be thrilled to know I finished!
She's doing okay. They have her a bit more comfortable, and she got a bit of sleep today. No word on what happened or what the doctors are going to do to fix it, though. Frustrating.
see you tomorrow missyem! yes, let's make our PacNW get-together a reality!
knutmeg, that is good that she can rest -- so sorry they can't figure out what it is yet. must be frustrating for you as well as her.
176 words today.
a 7/32
s7/44, t 7/28
m 7/32
very frustrating, for her. I've been feeding her the babble puzzles the last few days to keep her occupied. There needs to be a detox center for Babble addiction. :-)
What's happened with jaianniah?
C 7/32
I would send an email or an e-card to you and then you could forward it on if you think she'd like it ... my email is at the bottom of my profile if you want.
c 7/32 x2
hey knutmeg - what happened to your mom? is she ok?
That sounds good, she could use the cheer-up, Stid, I'll email you. Cybernan- Mom wrenched her back in a car mishap last week, which, because she just had MAJOR back surgery in March, seems to have caused more damage than should have. But they don't know what's wrong, she's just in lots and lots of pain. So they put her in the hospital to find out what is going on.
ouch -- I don't think there is anything worse than a sore back!!! --- hope they get things mended soon. Please give her my best wishes for a speedy recovery.
s 7/32
oh knutmeg! give my our best!
c 7/32 x3
Clues are up everyone. Enjoy!
Thanks Lickey! I just ran out of steam, so perfect timing!
co7/32 - part of your eye
On the phone with me mum now, feeding her babbling addiction, she wants to thank you all for thinking of her. :-)
***jaianniah***
here's another co7/32 for ya. Kind of beer or a halo/luminous ring/crown
i got a c 7/32! yippee for me!
sushi - -those are good clues! thanks!

good night, renfield!
You folks are always there for me. Least I can do.
okay, logging out so my Tom can play... see you all tomorrow! knutmeg, ***Liv***
good morning to everyone
g'night Stidmama! kisses from Liv
Half way there! Need to go to work! Get well soon jaianniah!
found all 3 c7/32's. Thanks, cybernan!
There are 4 C 7/32
Thanks bigbird. (sigh ... continues to look).
please does anyone know what the 8 letter word begins with
do 8/70
ty ilandrah
2- do 7/36
ki 7/48 x2
morin all
morning everyone
101 words without looking at the list at all - that may be one of my best yet without the list (or even many clues - just that there were two ki 7's)
I have 10 7's - how many more 7's and 8's are there?
Good going rycaut!! 17 x 7, 1 x 8
got the in 6/18 and 7/28, up to 116 words now, how many are there?
Good morning everyone, how goes it? I see I am in the grid again
Morning ExW4/8, good grid today and only 1 x re :) rycaut - 176 words
Ha Ha, FMitch, you didn't fall into my trap
LOL ExW
hello everyone!!
MORNING MATEYS! Just checking in to see how many words and then back to bed. 3 A.M.
Hey MrP, its a quiet log today.
morning everyone!
Morning Mr. President, off to find the Black Pearl.
knutmeg... say hello and luv to your mum! Tell her I wish her heaps of good pain killers and that they find out what is wrong very soon!! PS. Don't worry, she will be fine!
hey fmitch!! nice for a change!! Hi Rumple! Love the pic!
{{{ExW4}}} nice to see you too!
Good morning all. Just arrived. Is the grid civilised?
Hi AFShortie Morning Haz, it's a real easy one today. Lots of lovely words.
Oh good - here I go!
Once you find the bloke(s) in the bottom right hand corner you will then be able to get 2 x d7 and 2 x k7
Thanks - got the two k7s, now looking for the d 7s.
Thanks - got them. Reminds me of the old comedy series 'Rhoda' Often heard but never seen ' This is Carlton your do7/36'
OMG that is a blast from the past!
Not that I watch the Simpsons much, but Marge is played by the actress who was Rhoda's sister.
OK found todays strangest word (so far) ko6/33 - 2 consonants and 4 volwels (all the same) - African antelope
Thanks - my crossword dictionary has revealed it to me. Yes, a strange word.
I had to use a2z to find it.
I think they've spelt it wrong - at home we spell it kudu
The crossword dictionary gives both renditions and presumably enable would as well.
Good morning everyone. Did anyone else get shut out of the game last night?
Hi Eva, I didn't have any probs but it might have been after I had shut down for the night.
Help please, anyone got a clue for the 4th co7, just can't find it.
sorry mean the 5th co7
My fifth co7 is the guy who issues reports on every death ... but I haven't gotten to Lickety's list yet.
fmitch the one who does post mortems
what a relief! Just finished the r's without an interminable search for re's.
Thanks guys, sorry for the delay just had to reboot. However I have that one. Found the one I was missing..... .... and I am done!!!!
congrats, Fmitch.
thanks trish. Have to reboot again having PC probs, catch you all later. Have a good Friday.
does anyone have a hint for the do8?
Eva -- sounds like someone tapping at the entrance.
plural for the 8
do8.....think someone tapping your do4....and drop second vowel
sorry Karys-being utterly dense. Do you drop the second vowel from the root do4 or from the second part?
sorry....from the root d
thanks-off hunting
Eva .... do4 (less vowel) + tap or rap (less first letter)
thats better trish....couldn't think how to put it !!!
got i t! Thanks! Now have to look up what the weird thing means.
except the way my computer's been functioning lately, I'm not going to google the definition because I might never get back to the grid.
oooo.....don't upset it Eva !!....must go, see you later
Eva... so you don't have to abandon us ;) "A coarse sort of damask, originally made at Tournay, Belgium, and used for hangings, carpets, etc. Also, a stout figured linen manufactured in Scotland"
Bye Karys!
Hi all. Eva - Here's the definition for you: A coarse sort of damask, originally made at Tournay , Belgium, and used for hangings, carpets, etc. Also, a stout figured linen manufactured in Scotland.
Thanks an good morning Jacula!
Hi Jacula :)
Hi both. Eva - My Kira (see pic) says 'Good Morning' to your Merp.
hey everyone, i've got a new addition to my pet family. he was rescued yesterday after being mauled by a dog. his name is brady.
aww *fusses the kitty ears gently* ... you get good kitty karms, cliffopa!
*karma
Hi kira and brady! Is Kira on the kitchen counter? Or in her office? What a beautiful color! Did Brady get injured? Congrats on the new member of the household!
Cliffopa - Poor kitten! I'm sure you'll give him a good home though. Eva - Kira's sitting on one of the chairs at the kitchen table. She's not allowed on the worktops!
brady is a bit chewed up but luckily no stitches required. some sort of terrier got to him. antibiotics and pain meds for a while...but the attack does not seem to have affected him otherwise.
i can't believe how cute he is! he is only 8 weeks old. i have not raised a kitten for 18 yrs or so. usually adopt older cats with health problems.
Well Kira is much better behaved (or trained(-:) than Merp, who goes basically wherever he wants. He's never been one to steal food from counters though. Big time Kitten Lust Cliff. Do you have an arrangement with the vet or the shelter to call you for adoptions? I thought for a while of fostering, but don't think I could take the separations and in any case Merp won't allow it. Or we're not sure he would, since he was so hostile to the other cats when he was adopted the first time, before he was returned and found his way to us.
'evening haz
Hello lynxxx - I've been away taking a phone call hence radio silence for a while!
what's wrong with conman? Is it two words?
i've been going to the same vet practice for about 15 yrs and have told them i will take on special cases (cats people can't afford medical care for or abused ones) but i adopt them right off - i would never be able to give up a foster! i have a special room in our house i use for new arrivals because i have a dog and other cats. there is always tension when a new one comes here. when i adopted 2 old himalayans 3 yrs ago, it took them a year before they felt safe enough to come out of that room. my younger cat zoey only took 3 months to adjust - although the one himmy i have left still does not like her.
Eva - con man is two separate words.
Eva - When we first adopted Kira, or rather, she adopted us, we used to have a chenille cloth on the kitchen table. Unfortunately, she considered this a very good place to sit and so we dispensed with the cloth. As for climbing up the furniture, she only tried that a few times and we told off. Also, she's far too lazy to make the effort these days! Tiggsy, the other cat, is a swine for climbing up where he shouldn't, though.
I'm done... this was a nice grid :) So long everyone.
Well done, Trish. See you again.
I've always dreamed of having a barn which I could use for adoptions of all kinds, and where local school kids could come and learn to care for animals. That seemed especially important when I lived in the city, as so many inner city kids can't have pets where they live, and no one ever gves them the chance to care for anyone/thing, or allows them to be responsible for someone else. It seemed like it would be great for the animals and great for the kids. I always imagined that they would earn the right the "adopt" one of the animals (although it would stay in the animal center) and to train other kids. But never got a grant and now live out here where it isn't so critical and most kids have access to all the animals they need.
haz - you know all (esp english) - what is wrong with norman? not only given name - ?
lynx-I assume it would have to be capitalized
Norman is capitalized in the dictionary.
But you can have the abbreviated version!
thnx E & H - noted - no trying 'groups' of people anymore
And the plural of the abbreviated version!
lynxx - I reckon you should try everything!
Yes - did that - and strangely my middle name is the not quite so abreviated form - guess thats why I saw it.
time for a walk. See you all later if the gods let me back into the site.
'Bye Eva. Enjoy your walk.
Good Afternoon .. looks like an interesting grid
Hazel - Do you have a pic of your dog we can see?
Yes - I'll get a picture of her now. Two minutes...
Refresh - Spangle, welsh springer spaniel, aged 5. She didn't look as pretty as this yesterday after rolling in mounds of fermenting grass.....
bet she didn't smell as sweet either! Lovely woofer Haz :)
Haz - She'l lovely! Know what you mean about the slimey grass. Does she also like to rub her neck in fox poo? My dog used to! He'd seek it out deliberately after he'd had a bath. What a stink!
Hello, ARB. Yes, the grid's been fine for me so far. Am slowing down now I've reached 122 words though.
She stank! It was straight to the shower when we got home. But you can't stay angry with her for very long. Anyway, have to give her a walk and the house needs cleaning, so I'll head off and get the rest of the words later.
having trouble with the k's. so far just foubd 5 k 4 /8 k 5 /18 k4/ 8 k 4/ 8 k 4 /8 Any help finding others greatfully accepted?
Hazel - She has a cheeky face.:-) Enjoy your walk and, when you've finished cleaning your house, would you mind coming and doing mine?
Ishult - I'm not using a list yet but I do have another k4/8 & plural k5/18.
Ishult -- from the first ki 4 you can make 2 7 letter compounds
Jacula -- I got to 128 and am having a hard time of it -- will have to go to a list now, I think
thanks ARB, should have spotted those
Got 9 of 12 k's now, looks a bit healthier, thanks all.
Hey how about some help then. I've only got 7 k's!
I've finished the k's now. There are 3 ko words, 2 of which sound like apple centres (ko4's) and the other (ko6) which sounds like African witchcraft.
The first ki4 & 5 are what you put pottery into to fire it.
Hope that helps!
here is my k list so far ki 4/ 8 ki 5/ 18 ki 4 /8 ki 5 /18 ki 4 /8 ki 7 /48 ki 7/ 48 ki 4 /8 ko 4/8
b'seder
ko6/33....what a witch doctor practices , cept a k instead of V at the first letter...hi everyone, I am new to chat, but have played the game for a few weeks now, I love it!!
Hello Cat. Welcome to Babbleonia.
Ishult--you are missing one of the last two ki 4's--they are anagrams of each other
TY Jacula!! Love this game :)
Ishult - ki4/8 - 'Sweet 16 and never been ki****'. ki4/8 - baby animals or soldiers' equipment.
YEAH, thanks guys, got all th k's now. another 55 word still to find tho!!
45 words left to find here, Ishult. I just found 2 bowel-washing words in the e's.:/
thanks for that Jac, feel quite flushed now
LOL, Ishult.
I was wondering if there is anyone whose 1st word today wasn't the Quacker (bet there isn't)?
The Quacker was my first word, Ishult. Quite a few birds in today's grid.
(And bird sounds!)
and wriggly bird food
Just found a metal character(s) from 'Oz' in the t's.
'males' do seem to be numerous as well
didn't have then, ta Jac that's the t's done 46 more to find!!
Any hints on the er 6/30?
don't have the er6 yet. just found the in6 & 7 tho (more crazy)
I'm down to the er 6/30 and 5 co's
er6 - before this time
Jacula - thank you
151 words down, 25 to go. Time for lunch, I think. BBL.
took me a while, but just got the er6, thanks. ARB, what co do you need , have most (but not all)
D O N E
Mazel Tov
still looking for 37 words
I'll accept that young man's salute
I used to keep changing my icon to match the current theme. But how can I delete my gorgeous sons picture?!?
Absolutely not. And I have to keep my chocolate icon -- it's appropriate no matter what the theme! "Give me the chocolate and nobody gets hurt!"
that reminded me, just got Cadburys Double Decker bars in the Kibbutz shop. Getting peckish just thinking about it!!!!
Cadbury's and not the red cow? How unpatriotic but how delicious!
sorry, but you can keep your red cow chocolate. Always makes me think of Easter Egg chocolate (cheap quality)
I pawn it off on my grandkids -- to their mothers' non-delight and I use the Lindz 70% for the adults!
obviously someone who knows their chocolate. Still I always prefere Cadburys even over the so called better quality Swiss & Belgium stuff!!
lindt dark chocolate truffles are my weekness
weakness (sp)
I have to admit that yesterday while eating a rather delicious chocolate cookie, given to me as a gift from Argentina, I told my son , with a perfectly straight face, that he wouldn't like it so he couldn't have a bite. Does that make a bad parent (or indeed a bad person)
LOL Ishult - I just came in to see how big the grid was and saw your post. That is *SO* something I would do. Unfortunately my girls LOVE dark chocolate - the darker the better.
musicmom - its better they love dark chocolate than that yucky milk chocolate.
Be back later - this looks like a good one.
wow -- your girls have good taste!
Yes and it is even better now that Hershey makes a miniatures mix that is all dark. I had to race them to the special dark in the old blend.
guigrrl--- It couldn't possibly be all the chocolate I ate while preggers.
My husband is the only weirdo = he likes white chocolate that isn't even choco at all.
hahaha -- then I need to be prepared for my son eating my stash! i'm looking at a ghiradelli dark chocolate square wrapper on my desk from last night LOL
aah! white chocolate NOOOO!
LOL -- yep be prepared to share. If I had known he like the abomination before I married him........<G> Okay I really need to go. Breakfast meeting. Be back later. Happy babbling.
Must be a man thing, I love White chocolate (mind you so does my wife). We can get here the Hershey's white chocolate with cookies inside.....Hmmmmmm.....
they should not even be able to call that white stuff chocolate. tastes like plastic to me.
Give me a whit Toblerone anyday!!!!
Hiya, everyone!!!!!
*yawn* mornin babblers!
hey spidey, hey evanadine :)

{{{Temple}}} good morning - I've never heard of James Hunter what kind of music do you know?
ty olive . faeriekae - james hunter is from UK - soul
its 11.10pm Friday here. My weekend has started : )
When I first got up this morning at 6:10 to left my dog out it was 27 degrees and frost on the ground. My Magnolia trees blooms are all brown now :(
we had a frost advisory
Temple - I really like soul music but I'm not sure if I have any of his stuff. I'll check and see and let you know. I've got about 30 Soul CD's
oh dear i better hold my head in shame im from the uk and am not familiar with james hunter

Good morning Ouwa -- thanks, but just signed on -- still have half to go.
ch1212 - i missed you yesterday! it was a fine fine trekkish day!
I missed you too, hurshy, but I did look specifically for your icon in the log :) I really enjoyed the time I did have, although it was hard to stay focused on the grid!
no kidding!
bye everyone! have fun!
bye temple! :)
Good morning all! Have my first word and off to find the remaining 175!
bye temple
bye temple
morning bbnaz. I have 85 so far but have to stop in a minute to get ready for work :(
Struggling with the 8..... Help plz.....
Oooh that four letter word "work" no worries though, you will always be back to finish. I will have to get up and go too soon.
I don't have it yet spidey
nor do i, CHS
Movieman - do 7 & plural do8/70 - it's a type of stiff fabric but sounds like the brass thing you might have on your front entrance for people to rap upon to alert you to their presence.
Bye TO
the 8 is a do8 it starts with something on hinges minus one vowel and the second part is what you do to the thing on hinges minus a consonant. Now does anyone have the me7?
me 7 is plural for me6
Me6=me4/5+er 7=the plural.....
thanks evil (love the name) I never would have guessed that that word had a plural
ty, all .....
yw. i wouldn't have guessed either but have found quite a few words by pluralling them...... is that even a word?
I am happy to join you
GOOD Morning again! Had a few more zzzzzzzz's and now ready to go search for the Black Pearl.
Morning Rump :)
Greetings, Cap'n.....
Good day, all. Time for a bit o babble
rumple......i like your cows!!!! they're cute
Morning Kenny :) I like bit o honny myslef <g>
ahhhh faerie, aren't you sweet enuf as it is, darlin'?

Kenny *blush* You sure know how to make a woman feel good :)
oops I mean a faerie :)
That's been my lines for years, faerie...you're one of the few to believe!! *S*
Kenny - thanks alot.....so I'm just another one to bite huh LOL
Any help with a CO5/12...not the one who baby-noises, but the other...
oh no, faerie, you misread...you're a special one, indeed.
does anyone have the last co 7/32 (the one that comes after the plural of a mexican-sounding beer)
Oh Ok :p
There are lots of co5/12. Can you be more specific re its position in the list?
co5/12 - a way of calling someone co5/12 - a pigeon maybe? co5/12 - implement for taking the middle of of apples
cliffopa - the last co is a medical person who investigates cause of death etc.
=^-.-^=
Right you are, Haz...I believe it's the first, although it could be 2nd. No later than that, tho.
Good Morning MIkey :)
Last co5/12 - what you may have on your feet if yourshoes are too tight.
thanks haz - i had that word on my mind an hour ago, don't know why i didn't use it/see it!
The second co5/12 is the person doing the baby talk
good afternoon, faeriekae! ;-)
Mikey how ya doing today? Finding lot of words I hope.
bring back the EYE
in 7/28? i assume its a plural of the in 6/18 before it which i need help for to
done! now i'm off to cuddle with my new 'baby'.....
I agree with BBNZ Mikey - bring back the eye !!!
Thanks, all...it's the first CO5/12 I'm missing. Still looking based on Jacula's clue...
{{{Jacula}}} I didn't see you. Good Morning :)
Congrats. Cliff WHOOT!!!
Kenny - it's the same as the 2nd co5 except for the last letter. If I wanted to catch your attention, I might shout, 'Cooee!'
in7 is a comparative - more mad than the in 6
Got it! Thanks, all...23 to go...
Hiya Faerie, Mikey, Haz and everyone else.
thanks, haz!
Hi Jacula - you gave away a word!
thanks haz
Haz - Thanks for those 2 in's, I was just looking for them. Mad that I hadn't found them, isn't it?;-)
EEK! Could have sworn I'd starred out those last 2 letters. SORRY! *Blushes.*
You're forgiven!
Thanks, Haz. Ooh, I'm having a hot flush now with the shame of it.
hmm, faeriekae? don't know yet; only just started.....and why do you want to see just my eye? :-P
right off to walk the dog bbl happy babbling everyone :)
The o in the middle of the 2nd row..... Help, plz......
oooh, I see "oil can" makes an appearance! :-)
Mikey - BBNAZ ask for your eye first....I just think it looks like your peeking in at us *teehee*
*refresh* my left eye is visible in this shot :-P lol
I'm new and newly addicted. Stuck at 1000 points - but feel good I got this far!
Bye Jean :)
gadget, sounds like you're doing great!!
only it appears closed, looking down :-P
ja, well; i do 'peek in' from time to time, faeriekae!
Gadget that is excellent - you should go look at Angelsongs Resource page. It is alot of help and there is a 2 letter word list there also.
ROFL Mikey - I know you do you silly goose :)
sure, we can have ti6 and co6 but not conman... go figure
The o in the middle of the 2nd row..... Help, plz......
Thanks! Will do...
CHS, it rhymes with a word for a crown molding or window casing
ja; but i don't know *why*, faeriekae.....especially when i'm in constant danger of being eaten up, like the other day!!! :-o
SCD - Howsabout giving me the first 2 letters and the points value.....
or 5/10
Mikey - that is true but it is hard to get your teeth around a slimy eyeball. So that might be a little safer for you LOL
SCD - I'm assuming the or5/10 doesn't have an actual definition....
hmm; not so, faeriekae.....'smaller' managed it the other day, didn't she? :-/ 'cos if you recall, she ate almost *all* of me.....including my entire head, eyes and all!!! :-P
no, not that i know of (or that dic.com knows of)
but CHS, it feels familiar from other babble puzzles
Anyway, I just got it thru monkeytyping.....
Mikey - Your are Correct. Yes she did and then she was hacking up hairballs later as I recall. Plus a little gasy. LOL
Missing an L..... I have 4 li4/4's & an li5/10...... Wot's missing.....
another li 4/4
hmm; no faeriekae.....she left part of me, though.....so i think she avoided ingesting any 'hairballs' :-P
ty, SCD.....
ROFL
the eyelids are very heavy, so off to bed i go. good luck everyone
Goodnight Evil sweet dreams :)
well, faeriekae? 'tis true, no? :-/
evilolive? what an interesting nick
drat the k's
Hurshy - most of the k's are clued further back in the log - around 6-6.30 as I recall.
i don't want a clue, jac, i just want to FIND the last one! :)
thanks though :)
I'm still monkeying for that or5/10, my last word.
Got it! I'm done.:-)
Oops! That's another word I gave away.
Congrats Jacula !!!
Drat the e's..... I still need FOUR of 'em....
hello!
perhaps you need an en5, CHS, poetic version of very large?
Thanks, Faerie. Movieman - I take it you have the bowel washing words?
hey harp - monkey day?
Nope, SCD, I've got that one.....
Hello Harp.
TY, Jac....
Harp's monkey looks like Arthur Askey!:D
2 bird words?
LOL Harp love the icon
and CHS, superhero day, right?
SCD - Those bird words, care to elaborate.....
MovieMan - you have the er6? Before this time.
SCD - Correctamundo!!!!!
Movieman - and the sea eagles?
Ok I gotta get going...see you everyone on Monday Have a great weekend *waves*
that is so NOT A WORD - unless it means something else... before this time... that would be 2 words!
'Bye Faerie. *Waves back.*
see ya, faerie!
Hurshy - It is a word. I could have said heretofore, which is another meaning for it. LOL.
CHS, have you got them all now? cause i still need one, care to guess what it is??
awwww; bye, faeriekae.....have a great weekend, then!!!
heretofore i accept, but er6 i dislike
SCD - Nope, still missing 2... That er6 is destroying my brain, and I haven't a clue about the other one...
er6 is an anagram of 'were on'.
TY, Jac, but I just got it using oneacross.com....
yes, monkey day.
Harp - Refresh to see why I say your monkey is really Arthur Askey.
Still missing 1 e.... I have: en5/12 (& the plural) another en5/12 that BLOODY er6/30 and 4 er4/4's......
lol jac!
MM - You're missing en4/8 - an archaic way of saying 'enough'.
the missing link revealed!
Harp - The resemblance is quite striking!:)
Howdy Babblers. I love the smell of Babble in the morning ..
TY again, Jac.... Now to complete the a's.... (Top left co6/21)..... I have: ad5/12 ad7/32 ad6/21... ...
not napalm?
Hi Torgone. But Babble usually smells of blood, sweat & tears... and chocolate.LOL.
CHS, i ad5 you!
MM - The ad's are all either about loving or decorating.
SCD - TY, the same here!!!!
2 more i's now..... (I just wanna get the vowel words out of the way)..... I have: In5/10 In6/18 In4/4 In6 /18 In7/28.....
sing. and plur. of an odd spelling of what your spiderman image is
TY, Une....
yw :-D
chocolate? i just read chocolate
*twitching*
i have 62 words and am certain there are NO more than that hint on the first wo6/30?
smaller - wo6/30= someone who comes first, but change 2nd letter.....
10 points smaller! not the loser but the.... (change vowel)
I'm off to do some work now. Happy Babbling, folks!
thanks spidey!!
Later, Jac, and thanx again for the assistance....
plural too, smaller ..
great minds, CHS, great minds
bye jac! thanks birdman of alcatraz for the 7! don't drop the soap!
...
KORMA! KORMA!
korma chameleooooooonnn you come and go
Speaking of cholocate, say I have a nice Easter bunny from Gertrude Hawk...How can I make chocolate shavings? I can't just use a cheese grater or something, can I?
yes or just smash it with a mallet
i think you can, leigh, or a food processor or a salad shooter or certain mixer attachments
i'd refrigerate it first though, or even freeze it
It's freezing away now. My mother said the same thing, about the mallet...Hmm.
I just didn't want to ruin the blade of anything like that. Thanks!
i don't think a mallet would give shavings so much as bits
good day-how many words today?
ok...i've tried everything... does anyone have a clue for the do8?
oh no -- i missed Jacula! and faeriekae... :-( but I got the rest of you! :-) (((hugs)))
176 - although when i first got on it told me 123, go figure
One other question for all you smart people out there: If I were to upgrade to Pro, besides getting the benefit of participating in theme days with my icon, and getting a panel, how is the stats panel much different from what I'd find on Lickety's page or BA?
Cathyar - do8=plural of do7 (think brass door fittings).....
well leigh, i find it nice to see which box the words come from. you also get the benefit of knowing you are helping to prevent doc g from a slow death by starvation :)
ty-gonna be a long search-so lets get started-gotta work tomorrow so no time tomorrow
leigh -- the stats panel can be really useful to help weed out where to start a word that you're missing, or knowing that you're actually got the same words here as on Lickety's list... and of course, you can put in a profile bio... which can be nice, too!
Leigh - the stats panel is good 'cos you can see straight away how many words there are, and how many come from each letter....
good morning, majmom!
Stidmama - hiya!!!!!
*giggle* You guys seem to be good salespeople for Dr_God, and I can't say I want to see him starve...
*peeks in again* stidmama!!! :-)
h,i leighprefect; and welcome to Babble! :-)
if i testify on behalf of (dr.) god i assume babble blessings will be showered upon me, so really it's all selfish
hi movieman -- multitasking again, missing half the conversation as usual...
Hello, Mikey. Though I've been here before, you can christen my Pro-dom.
oh; i'm sorry, leighprefect.....i didn't realize? :-/ and, why certainly; i'd be delighted to! ;-) and.....uhm; hi again, stidmama? :-/
The n's from the 4th row are REALLY bothering me!!!!! I have: Na4/5 No4/8 No5/18 No5/ 10.....
It's okay. Thanks anyway!
*giggle* Mikey, you always make me smile :-D
brb
two pairs of ne4 and 5 combos - weird words.
SCD - Why do you always do that? Everytime I ask for help, you never give the points values....
both are 4/5 and 5/12 (hangs head in shame)
Hurrah!!!!! I've found those n's at last...... TY, SCD..... That's the last three rows completely greyed out....
ooh, then guess my last R for me, CHS, from the middle.
aw; thank you, stidmama.....glad i do for someone here, anyhow! ;-)
You always make ME smile, MIkey!!!! good morning to all!!!!!!
since when is no4/4+er not a word? It is in this household.
SCD - Is it the ro4/5....
YES but i PUT THAT IN BEFORE!! argh, it was that dumb keyboard in my classroom. thanks CHS.
I agree wholeheartedly, minski!!!!!!
can anyone help with the am5/12?
a funny spelling of a middle eastern ruler
okay, back for a little bit, cold hot chocolate in hand... :-)
HI. Does anyone have the ER6/30?
Minski - the er6/30 is an archaic word meaning before or heretofore.....
And it starts from the e in the 4th row....
Any help with the last co 7/32?
as co7/32, i must aver, i've thoroughly examined her and she's not only merely dead, she's really most sincerely dead
Thanks movieman. What a strange word.
Thanks hurshy. I didn't have that one either.
lol hurshy - that ro5/20
And while we're on the subject, I'd like assistance with my last 6 (that's right, 6) 7's..... I have: ad7/32 co7/32 co7/32 co 7/32 do7/52 in7/28 me7/32 sc7/ 32 sk7/44 ti7/28 wo7/44.....
maybe I'm missing the one before it then.
THe bottom 2 rows are all greyed out!
hurshy, you're a hoot and a half!
leigh -- why is there a man wearing a hockey mask in your icon?
leigh - welcome to the world of the professionals......
Got it. It was before it. Heh. Sorry, hurshy. Thanks for the clue anyway.
Stid- Because I'm in love with him. movie-Thank you!
yes congrats on going pro leigh. ooh, i'm a hoot and a ho? that's not good.
oh -- okay -- :-)
ty hurshy!
And while we're on the subject, I'd like assistance with my last 6 (that's right, 6) 7's..... I have: ad7/32 co7/32 co7/32 co 7/32 do7/52 in7/28 me7/32 sc7/ 32 sk7/44 ti7/28 wo7/44.....
can i just be two hoots?
*frowny face* now, hurshy, you _know_ that's not what I meant!
nope. you're definitely a hoot and a "ot"
yes i do but i am silly
To really answer the question, his name is Martin Brodeur, and he plays for the Devils. And I'm madly obsessed. And since this is my first day Pro, I didn't have any old icons, so I used him.
I absolutely must get words entered into Lickety's list before I go any further... back in a while!
Being a hoot and a ho is a good thing ..
And while we're on the subject, I'd like assistance with my last 6 (that's right, 6) 7's..... I have: ad7/32 co7/32 co7/32 co 7/32 do7/52 in7/28 me7/32 sc7/ 32 sk7/44 ti7/28 wo7/44.....
*rolls eyes at tor*
will somebody who's got more 7s than me please help poor spiderman?
there are 2 more co7's CHS
two more do7's
i need most of the 7s too.
two ki7's
Points values plz, SCD....
There's a *good* kind of ho. That's what I'm using ..
the co's are all 7/32 the do's are 7/36 and one 7/52 the ki's are 7/48
Any definitions for those 7's, SCD......
Just got the sk7. Sk + pub + hesitation.
the do 7/36's and the ki's are all real words. people. i don't know which two co's you need...
hydra - or you could have said it's the name of the principal in "The Simpsons".....
Hurshy, they may be ral, but that doesn't mean we see them
or the famous behavioral psychologist...
ral = real
Yes, movieman, that's easier! Didn't think of it, though.
i know mark - but i am trying to challenge you - i do it to my math students too :)
all but the co7 i clued earlier are plurals.
i mean all the co7s.
Well, SCD, I have the co7/32 that's the plural of "One who holds an opposing opinion or view.".... And the co7 that's the plural of the part of the eye.... And the co7/32 that's the dead body examiner.....
markbowers???? how are you? Haven't seen you in forever and a half!
ok, so you need co6 the edge of the sun and its plurals
mama's icon is from naked friday! i remember that well.
SCD - If the do7's & the ki7's are real words, what are their definitions......
bravo, Hurshy!
MamaBare day!
de ja vu
each pair is a sing and a pl, and they are all kinds of people, movieMAN :)
:-/ i just realized the sun has been in my eyes -- need to go lie down until the pretty lights stop blinking in my brain (migraines suck). Back later...
Movieman, the ki7's are people who are related to you...your ki4/8...
hurshy is not trying to be mean, she is just trying to prevent people from feeling dumb when they find the words....
2 od the do7's and people who hold do4/5's
TY, SCD, but according to the stats, I'm still missing a 7, and I think it's another co7...... I have the co7/32 that's the plural of "One who holds an opposing opinion or view.".... And the co7 that's the plural of the part of the eye.... And the co7/32 that's the dead body examiner..... And the sun one......
movieman, if you read my sun clue very closely you should see what you are missing - i did not make a typo
MM try the latin plural of the sun one.
sigh. if people don't WANT to feel clever i will stop trying to give subtle clues then i guess.
afternoon
Thanx again, SCD, guess I'm so determined to complete this one, that I'm not paying much attention.....
i have 5 to go myself, SCD - 2 C 2 S and one dratted K
SCD - Have you started talking to yourself, or were you supposed to be addressing me.....
i am losing it - yes i was trying to address you and not thinking!
tired hurshy
I'm just missing the IN7 now. Does it go with the IN5
no, it goes with the 6
hurshy the 2 k7s are almost the same word with one letter different.
i know i have the 7's, i am missing some other k
hey all..maybe im think but i cant find the opposing opinion co7..any more helpful clue pls?
Why isn't korma a word??
Does hurshy have the end of the brand of orange juice?
rolin- i think it's really more like people who scam you. and when people ask about korma, are they thinking of karma?
I think you're thinking of karma, Chris?
the co7 is the plural of the co6, which is also a guys name
yes torgone hurshy does
No - as in the indian dish chicken korma
Oh. Sounds spicy!
then, chris p, i will repeat my comment that questioning the enable dictionary is the path to madness
Got the IN7! Done with the 7s and 8. Now just 53 4s, 5s, and 6s to go.
It tastes of coconut and is very yummy
oh duh..just the plural of the co6 i had...*Fish*
thers a 7/52??..what does that start with pls\?
do 7/52, an odd word, sounds like the place where scrooge saw marley's face as he was arriving home.
this k is driving me krazy!!!!!!!!!!!!!
AHA! got it!
Rolin, I think you mesan ad5/32. If so, it adds the suffix meaning "person who does this" to one of the ad/5's
Howdy! Back to work on this puzzle some more. GO Hursh!
ty, just s4 and s5 left, hopefully the 5's a pl
any hints for the ti6/21's?
follow the yellow brick road and you should find one
Hursh when you hurt you are
oilcan oilcan
crying? :)
Your friendly neighbourhood web-slinger is finished!!!!! So, I guess it's time for THAT dance!!!!!!!!!
oilcan is for Rish
oh, no, i have those. presumably (hopefully) i am missing something less obvious than that.
thank you!!!!!!
good onya spidey
CHS CHS, guess hurshy's last 2 S's?
now back to babbling
congrats, mm
a 4 and a 5, from second row
Sn4/4 and 5/10?
you mean like bad mood tigereye? have those. they might not be a combo, we never know do we
CHS, point total on the day?
hurshy -- small narrow opening and it's plural
no cnan, have those (besides the sl5 and the sn5 mentioned before come from the lower s)
Apologies to Rolin. Justrb reread the question and realized the word in question does not begin wuth "a". Ypou see, I hadn't had my coffee yet . Now I have it. . . mmmm coffee and babble, what a way to start theday
Yeah those were the ones I meant
thanks for guessing, tigereye :)
have you got what you put on your feet?
yup
not daughters?
yup.
CHS, where did you go... could really use that point total!
the hairnet?
i know, you are punishing me for always forgetting to put the points in when i tell you words
yes, have the hairnet.
Hurshy, To obtrude one's self on another for bed and board?
hmmm, ponders... (i found the 5, just need the 4)
the boat?
what clouds do?
oh, tigereye - yes i have that, didn't know what it meant, only know them as aliens from lewis's space trilogy! LOL and yes i have the boat
and what clouds do
you'd think i'd have monkeyed it by now
ok got it! i'm done! thanks for playing, all!!!
ok, so what was it?
hurshy- that's all we get? no booby prize?
tigereye gets 1000 points, by the way - i did not have the singular bad mood (see i started the puzzle in class and they keyboard sucked so some things i had put in didn't get in!)
the sc5 though was weird, it is some coin - add vowel to end of what clouds do
Wooo 1000 points :D
yes you get 1000 if you help me find my very last one :)
I'm still missing 4 from that s -- have no idea what they are!
I'm having a hard enough time trying to find my 157th!
got the coin -- down to 3
well cnan, maybe that sc5 i just mentioned? and maybe the obtruding for bed and board (and related words) that tigereye mentioned?
cybernan: the hairnet? the boat? the clouds? Perhaps if I knew which words these were clues to, I could find them. Or not. Coffee has yet to =click in
cnan, the longest of the obtruding words rhymes with co6 where two edges meet
hetty -- they all begin with the s in the second row
have that one, Hurshy
sc 4/9 is the boat - a klingon once compared the enterprise to one, then corrected himself to say that she should be hauled away AS garbage (in the trouble with tribbles). this, and not the insults to kirk, caused scotty to start the bar fight.
cnan - the rest are pretty normal, i'd run a plural and an -er check on your existing words
(can you tell there are vestiges of ST day clinging to me?)
Does anyone know what the 8 is?
i have to say it... "a swaggering, tin-plated dictator with delusions of god-hood"
chrisp - plural of do 7/52
do8/70 Chris P.
ok i gots to go now folks, see y'all later! :) :) :)
Well of course it is Hurshy!! Doh!!
Hurshy, thanks for the mini-lesson on the language of Starwars.I have the boat thing, whether on land sea or planet. But hairnet? Clouds? Obtruders? I think I'll move to another line. And get more coffee.
Toodle-oo hurshy-poo ..
bye hurshy!
AAAAAAAACK! NOT star wars, star trek. star WARS happened a long time AGO in a galaxy far far AWAY, star TREK is in the FUTURE in OUR galaxy.
both are good but they should not be confused.
So that's you told, hetty!
Hurshy -- have the 7 deadlies and the extension for the sc's I have: 4x2, 5x3, 6x2, 7x1 sk's: 4x2, 7, 5 sl's: 4 sn 5, 4 so: 4 x 5, 5x2, 6x2
but no hard feelings clouds sc4/7 hairnet is a sn5/12 obtruding for room and board so4/4
Greetings, fellow Babblers... how goes the grid?
sl5, plural of sl4
Hello, Jera. It's a nice grid today.
some people do this in their sleep sn5, cnan, and they are sn6s
hello Jera
doesn't that begin with the s in the 3rd row?
oh yes sorry was not looking at boxes more sn's then - bad mood/s, white stuff...
have both
sorry cnan i hope i've caught them all but i really have to run
assuming the bad mood is a 4/4 and extension for 6
Do you have the hairnet, sn5/12?
YTes that's me told. I come from an alien culture, you know, having been raised on books and C.S.Lewis for fantasylands. Didn't even own a TV till I was 40 and thereafter left it to the children. SO anything I DO know about aforesaid wars and treks I learned from them. Now beam me up and let me down lighty. She has spok.
bye Hurshy -- thanks for the attempt
Yes, jera
That's a cool word, thought it might be the missing one...
Hetty - I'm completely clueless when it comes to sci-fi stuff as well. It leaves me cold, I'm afraid.
found them -- words I thought I'd entered last night.
I spose Hursh has gone nw I need her. Just discovered the word I thought meant a boat is actually what clouds do. So I STILL need the boat-cum- space vessel referred to in my lesson. Please someone, help a pre-Starwars /Startrek mother of four coffee-drinker.
hetty - can you specify point values etc of the word you are looking for?
if it's sc 4/9 then it's s plus a bovine.
And to quote Ogden Nash - The cow is of the bovine ilk, one end is moo, the other milk.
Thankd Haz, got it! Now I know what vessel to call for when I imperiously demand water or space travel.
anyone have a clue for the do 8?
do 8 is plural of do 7. =)
guess there is a third do 7?
45 to go...........i think i can, i think i can
do8 - take a vowel from the do4/5 (use to gain entry) then add no5/20. It sounds like what you would do to gain entry.
Yes. After the plural of college housing.
Thanx for that great clue, haz! I was going in6/18 looking for that ..
Glad to help, torgone. And now I must leave to serve dinner. I'll check back later.
thanks, haz -- was trying it with the double vowel!
bye haz
l8r haz ..
bye haz
Can anyone help me with the ti 6/21s?
missing one i -- any guesses? Have: ik x 2 and in x 4 (4, 5, 6, 7)
nm.....
ti 6's -- think of characters in the Wiz
cy - you are missing an in 6, there are two of them
Thanks, Joey -- have the crazy one -- clue for the other?
thanks anyway, nan. Last two. And of course they have to be the wo's...
great clue, cybernan
plural of the preceding 5....
never mind, got it -- had to go in a different direction!
me too, that was the hardest thing for me to figure out, cy.
Done! That's two in a row!
whats the 8?
i can't believe it won't let me have conman!
rolin - plural of the do7/52
hmm..thx chris
I can help if anyone wants me to. Otherwise I'm going to go be a chauffeur for my little brother.
Missing one w Leigh -- just a minute
wo's: 4 x 8, 5 x 3, 6x 2 and 1 wr what's missing, please?
wo 7/44, right after the first wo 6/30
cnan...when youre done looking for yours...can you gimme a clue on the wo 6 that i dont hav...i have the lovers
missing 1 k, leigh. Have ko 4 x 2, ki 4x 5, 5 x 2 & 7 x 2
other wo 6 has a double consonant
wo7 is the plural of the wo6 just above it
cheers cnan
wo6 is the past tense of the one who came in first and the wo7 is the plural.
first one, ko 6/33 is what you need. let me know if you need a hint
Hi Rolin :)
Chris you are missing the KO6 the word is similar to the african slave religion that is still practiced today in places like New Orleans.
A clue would be good leigh
thanks, leigh and minski
Hehe. Minski has the hint for the ko.
Baby has a poopy diaper emergency. BBL8R
aaargghhh those CO words are killing me.
Got it - thx
Any last requests?
You are not the only one bbn, but I have to go out now, another 17 words to finish later
Nae? Wonderful. I'll be back on Monday if I'm lucky.
Bye everyone.
have a great weekend Leigh
Give me a "F" Give me an "I" Give me an "N" Give me an "I" what's that spell? yep Fini now maybe I can get some computer stuff done!

Hello everyone. Attempting this without the list. May give in soon.
have ko 6 and ko 4/8 -- numbers for the missing one?
also ko 4/8
Hi Musicmom -- I'm trying it without the list as well -- still have 24 to go!
ty, jeffer
I only have 50 so far but am working backwards through the alphabet. I just sat down a littl while ago.
Can somenone please give me a clue for the o?
I've greyed the t and only have one w I can't find.
should say o from the second row
Thank you, jeffer & cybernan! *happy dance of doneness*
c-nan it is a bird word. or+consonant+verb form of be
Bravo Jera.
yeah jera!
ty musicmom
Wren -- is it 7:17pm your time?
Chris -- what time is it in the UK? -- not sure if you're on daylight savings time or not
that's it...i'm convince the do8 does not exist.
Isn't orso a type of pasta??? too bad that babble doesn't think so!!
the pasta is orzo
Its 7.19pm in the uk Cnan
Thanks, Tiger -- better go and phone my cousin in Scotland -- back after I've had my lunch.
Cath -- the portal through which you enter minus one of the vowels and then add on the way you announce yourself at said portal if there is no bell.
The do8 DOES exist. It is a plural. Take a vowel from do4/5 (the entry) then add no5/20. (It rhymes with what you wear on your feet, under shoes)
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh... thats what i was thinking. I just looked it up on dictionary.com and found that out just in time to come back and see that now everyone on babble thinks i am an idiot. Sorry guys!
hi : )
Hi babbler.
Hey babbler :)
anyone remember what theme I used my icon for?
I don't recall seeing it before Babbler. But she is very pretty.
hmmm, might have been before you joined, musicmom. It's from a little while ago...
Babbler, I can't for the life of me remember the theme. Hi everyone!
Can't say I recognise it either
Hi Deutsch. Is that a hand painted like a zebra? Hilarious.
yours is fish day, musicmom! harp - yours is monkey day? Cyber, Jera and Ex-Wren - I'm having trouble.... hi Deutsch! : )
oooooh pwetty babbwer
thanks, hursh! do you remember it? : )
cnan's architecture day?
wow...never heard of THAT do8 before. thanks for the clues.
Hurshy - I have 85 words without getting the list. Don't even have it tabbed up so I can't cheat myself.
no i think it was before my time too (i joined last oct)
go SMF!!!!
Hi musicmom! This is the very first zebra I ever used. I guess it predates themes.
nope, hursh - you were here when we started themes. : )
Yep I really liked it --- wanted to use it again. I haven't been pro long enough to really stump anyone.
oh that's true i was silly me
I remember yours, Deutsch. Very clever! : )
Hi all! How's it going?
hair do's (and dont's)??
SCD -- you're my inspiration.
hehe, nope....
I knew you'd remember, Babbler! but tell us your theme.
bare naked shoulders?
nobody has guessed mine yet (or tried to)
Hi BGL!
Hey BGL --- I picked up the cooler today. I also got the absolutely worst hair cut of my life yesterday. Went back and had her try to fix it today but --- well----- let's just say i hope I don't run into anyone in Tenn I know.
awww, SMF, then indirectly, sprite is your inspiration - she inspired atalante, who inspired me
i am badly stuck : er 6/30 ko 6/33 please?
I CAN'T wait to see the hair....
ok - Skimpy Saturday!! I was actually looking for the one I used for Nude Friday, that kick-started the whole theme thing off, but it wasn't in google anymore. hursh, I can't make head nor tail of yours... :s
I actually came close to crying --- and you know I don't even really care what I look like. It is TERRIBLE!!!!!!!!
i tried to pick my hardest one :)
Could someone please help me with the third du? I have the quacker and his buddy.
I don't remember it Hurshy.
musicmom if that is so, no-one will recognise you ...
Too bad. I know I hate when I don't like my hair. Is it short? Lopsided? I know... You got a MULLET!
MM. I'm so sorry to hear about your hairdon't! Hurshy, I don't remember your theme, either.
then put the quacker and his buddy together, or consider simon and garfunkel, fred and ginger, etc
I certainly hope not Jeffer<G>
oh nooo, musicmom, I've been there, had terrible hair cuts. Some were so bad my friends didn't recognise me! Get some products and do something pretty with it while it grows out. That's what I tried to do. : )
ko 6/33 like haitian sorcery but with a k
Thanks Babbler and Deutsch. I knew i should have just left it long and one length.
mine was from 70's glam rock day - a glamorous pet rock (which were a fad of the 70's) :)
jeffer, e6/30 looks like a compound out of Shakespeare--archaic term for "ever" plus term for right***
AHA ! I knew I had seen it Hurshy.
good evening, everyone
are you going to answer my questions, mm?
Hi Mikey!!
Hi Mikey. BGL - How are you doing on this grid?
Good Evening!
hi Mikey : )
ty hetty chewin on it
I have 108 - haven't started using Lickety, yet- but it's probably time. I've done a lot of monkey typing
anybody need any help? can confuse with the best!
Hi Mikey. Glad to see your whole face, all of it.
I have 87 without lickety. The k words are kicking my butt though. I'm going to try to go through each letter of the grid before I go to the list.
i like mikey's eye.......
HAve you started packing yet?
Are you KIDDING??
I have 133 without the list. It's time for a break though, teatime. Back later to finish
LOL - I have a grid to solve.
lol, Hetty.....better than other things, i suppose :-P and my eye is there, bbnaz ;-)
jeff, just omit the "r" from first term
Ooops, I meant the "V"
Hi everyone, hope the week has been good to you. So glad to be back I'm going to try without the list tonight :)
Me neither! I need to do some laundry and clean the house. JOsh did clean out the van and put the middle seat back in it yesterday.
Are you all packed?
KatieW!!! :-)
KatieW --welcomeback and good luck. I'm quite stymied.
I am going to clean out the van when the girls get home and can put stuff away for me. Sarah has her last choir concert tonight. I need to clean the house tonight too. Actually have too much to do to be doing this but I don't wanna.
now.....why is everyone mentioning naked pics in here? :-/ darn.....that isn't today's theme, is it.....am i supposed to use a naked photo of me now? :-/
Oooh Mikey. Yes please
Mikey - even if I posted a naked picture of me you all would be distracted by my hair.
Yeah, I wanted to write my sermon today but I'm not motivated to do it. That means I either have to do it on vacation or next Saturday whenw e get home. I hate ahving to preach the day I get back from vacation.
BRB - Greg needs me.
We can dye your hair tomorrow...
I can bring Josh's clipper and we can buzz cut it...
The color isn't the problem - I did that recently. hmmmmm Greg might have something to say about a buzz cut. He could use one though<G>
lol, musicmom; i think that would happen if i did that, too :-P and stop begging, Hetty.....i'm still trying to find out if that's the theme in here today, first! :-P lol
I'm playing this grid for 20 more minutes and then taking a break until after the concert tonight. I can get a bunch done before we go into town.
o got that ko/ btw hurshy ty
but if we dye it a really obnoxious color, then people won't look at the style...
Mikey - the theme is "stump the babblers" pick an icon you used in the past and we have to guess what the theme was.
still chewin, hetty
BGL -- LOL I have some kool-aid. That's what the HS kids use.
oh; ok, musicmom.....then i can't really participate, since i'm a fairly new member :-/
Is it REALLY that bad? Will I be embarassed to be with you next week? Is Sarah embarrassed?
gee; what happened to your hair, musicmom? :-/
Actually - Sarah was quite diplomatic last night (especially for her). She did ask me this morning if I was going back to get it done again. Yesterday it was the worst of an 80's mullet --- with my wave ICK!!!!
We could go HAT shopping tomorrow...
I got a terrible cut Mikey and I'm using chatlog space to whine about it.
Now THERE is an idea!!! hats hmmmmmm
Should I wrap Mom's final clue? Are we doing a cake?
Yes wrap mom's final clue. Let's skip the cake unless you really really want to
I go away for a few minutes and Mikey is ready to get naked. The things you miss!
hi all -- looks like I'm not the only one to resort to the list sooner than other days!
Nope, don't really wanna have cake... I ate so much Easter candy that I am miserable ;(
Hi stid
uhm; well no, Deutsch.....not if it's not called for! :-P lol.....besides, you've seen me.....am i *ever*, really? ;-)
Hi stidmama!
We've had 5 cakes in the past week. GAG!
LOL Mikey!
I do have a bag of Hershey's special dark with nut miniatures to bring with us if you remind me to get it out of the pantry.
hi musicmom -- hi Deutsch! musicmmom, I have some extra hair if you want to have some -- have to keep leaning forward when I drive because it gets caught betwen me and the seat...
OKay, I'm leaving for awhile. Going to go home and start laundry, then the weekly trip to the mall & WalMart when Josh gets home. Talk to you later. I'll *try* to be finished when you come back after the concert, MM. :)
hey BGL --- do you think the rest of the babblers are going to be glad when we go so they don't have to listen to us plan this any more?
That would be great BGL.. Tell Josh not to dilly dally at the mall - you have a grid to finish.
hi bbnaz! BGL -- I just saw your post at 1:38 and it looked like you wrote "have you started _panicking_ yet" LOL made musicmom's talk about the hair even more meaninful!
We'll just have to think of something else. The other references did finally get their paperwork. So much for having the homestudy done before vacation... Next goal - by Josh's b-day
MM, it's like trying to figure out a mystery! Bye BGL!
We were just at the mall alst night. But then I received 2 bookstore coupons (30% off each) that have to be used by Sunday. So we're going back.
LOL stid.. Panicking happens tomorrow night.
later BGL!
Deutsch. We'll both be gone all week next week so it will be quiet and not confusing<G>
See y'all later. Tall Sarah to "break a leg" with her concert tonight.
will do
ummm musicmom, you might not want to advise Sarah to break a leg (or anything else) -- kids pick the strangest times to do what we tell them! LOL
Hi Guys, how's it going today?
That is EXACTLY what I was thinking STid. Oh well, if she does, BGL can carry her up the mountain.
Hi chic
egypt day!! hi chic! : )
hi chic!
oh no, hang on, wasn't it Brandyjack Appreciation Day, and he wanted Egypt?
May I please drag everyone back from themes and hair and things? I need one ma4--not the one the lion has or the one expressive of a large quantity. I stop pleading, Mikey, for now.
Hi MM and Babbler, you are correct! Egypt day!
'for now', Hetty? :-/ oh, great.....just.....great :-P and hi, Chic; how's it going today? :-)
Can't help you hetty. Sorry
hetty -- spanish for hand?
Hetty - it may be the horse one with a different vowel ending.
Yes I can --- latin? for hand
Okay so it is spanish instead of latin ---it isn't english.
oh, Hazel.....nice doggy.....is that a Springer Spaniel....i think? or a Brittany, perhaps?
Mikey -- how about one of the pics of you all dressed up for CATS? that's almost as good as hetty's idea... *wicked grin*
Babbler you're absoutely right, it was BJ's appreciation day - I suggested Egyptian and he said yes!! :)
Spangle is a Welsh Springer Spaniel - 5 years old and very good company.
but, stidmama; that doesn't apply to today's theme :-/ it's not one i can participate in really, since i haven't been a member here very long yet!
we still want to see it mikey
ah, ok Hazel; i was thinking that was a Springer, ja; wasn't sure whether English or Welsh, though.....lovely dog! :-)
Thanks, both! OOO for a man (like Mikey)
the _real_ idea here is to "stump the others" and see if they can guess which theme it was... :-)
you want to see *what*, musicmom.....me, naked??? :-o sheesh.....it's never safe for me in here, i tell you!!! :-/
Evening Haz, good day?
ooh, hi FMitch!! I remember yours from that day too! : )
NOOO you dressed up like cats. <G>
So, does that mean Spangle uses really long words with lots of llwllylls in them? [sure hope that's not a cuss word in Welsh...]
Hello, FMitch - yes, it's been fine. I've been doing bits and pieces around the house. The sun has been shining so that's always a bonus, and the grid was fun.
hmm, musicmom; i've dressed up as *a* cat before, but never cats.....i'd need a few heads and tails for that, wouldn't i? and lots and lots of legs/paws.....i'd be in a tangle!!! :-P
BRB --- girls just got home.
yea, it was a good grid today, really enjoyed it.
Spangle only speaks English (of the dog variety)
well, this is fun, folks, but I gotta run again. see you all this evening, I hope.
Hi Stid and Mikey!
Okay I'm in theme mode
LOL Mikey --- You are teasing. I want to see what Stid was talking about.
ooooh Deutch, I remember finding a couple of Bridget Riely icons for my theme that day
oooh, Deutsch! let me see..... Black & White Ball?
or was it Marbles, and we ended up going black and white because of your icon?
I almost threw my marble frock on babbler. Fmitch, I remember, I looked her up!
Is there a ts word today?
And it's not black and white ball...
No there isn't musicmom
No, musicmom, there isn't.
Thank you! That helps.
I saw in a mag just yesterday that you can buy Bridget Riley prints for around £1,500 upwards!! wow...
Examples of how English word order can be variable....
babbler, I think the theme was anj's. And he chose fractals.
ahaa!! I was just wondering if it was a fractal!! : D
That's it, babbler!
61 words left and no list yet. I need to go and get the van cleaned out and start organizing things to pack. I'll be back later to finish.
evenin peeps - have manged to get down to just 6 words without the list, but am now begging for help!! I have 3 co7's, sure there are more.....
hey Dachef! : )
good luck, musicmom! Hi Dachef!
anyone have hints for either ki 7 ?
There are more.... 5 altogether
ki7 - either a relative or relatives.
ki7's, male person who is related to you. And males persons who are related to you.......
ki7 is brethren or relatives the first is singular the second is plural
thanks haz, dachef, and krausbrew
co7's: I have the swindlers, the plural of the part of the eye and the dead person examiner...others??
There are two, variant plurals, of the halo around the sun.
co7, think Spanish crowns
Dang you are quick off the draw there Haz. Beat me to it on those c clues :)
or that dreadfully awful Mexican beer...
I just sit, FMitch, fingers poised.....
hmm, musicmom; teasing about what? lol; was busy, and just checked in here again.....btw, musicmom; do you use yahoo and/or msn messenger? i don't think i have you on either one?
nice one, cheers guys! thats the c's done and dusted!
in 6/18?
tarajane- do you mean crazy or something that is not out?
There are two - one is mad, the other the plural of the preceding in5.
tarajane - think madness and then pl for the 7
thanx; I meant crazy and was quickly getting to that state!
Hello everybody. How it the puzzle today?
am fighting my way through the co words, but am still stumped by or5/10
Hello smithchick - the puzzle is fun today.
For or5, pluralize the Lating term for "bird" (ie. add an "s")
or5/10 - think of the proper word for bird-watchers - use first four letters and pluralise.
missing 2 n's... na4x1 ne4x1, 5x1 ni4x2 no4x4, 5x4 Heeeeeeelllllpppppppp!! !!
IIIIIIIIITTTTTTTTTTTTTT'SSSSS SSSSSSSS FRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII IIIIIIIDAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!!!!
hi, smithchick; it's *great* today.....i only have 30 words left to find, and i didn't even crack open the list til i had 55 left to find.....so; it *must* be easy, if i can do that well with it, hmm? ;-)
evanonut!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :-D
You're missing ne4 and ne5
I have co: 4x8, 5x5, 6x4,7x5 which c am I missing, please? (one)
evano -did you manage to retrieve your head?
hey mikey dachef - you'll never guess where i found it! i swear, i'll never try that drug again!
There's another co6 to be found.
help please with 1st sn5/10
WOO HOO!!! I finished and didn't even have to ask for a clue! Good luck all!
Hi smithchick and evanonut
hey deu deu
The first sn 5/10 is the plural for the preceding sn4/4
first sn 5/10: plural of the 4/4
congrats, krausbrew!
sn5/10 loud breathing while asleep
Yea for kraus!
many thanks - I feel so stupid - shoot
congrats krausbrew! Wel done! struggling with this ne4 Haz - I have the one that sound like Finding Nemo with a letter change...
There's another one, along the same lines, but with double vowel and plural
I have co: 4x8, 5x5, 6x4,7x5 which c am I missing, please? (one)
oh, sandy211; i've felt like that in here *many* a time :-P
cybernan - you are missing a co6
HEY ALL!!!! *mamabear waves as she makes a running entrance into the chat log ..... and does a "risky business" slide waving past everyone..... and slams into the wall* ow
wow, evanonut; you were missing your head? :-o why; did smaller eat it??? :-P
thx Haz! Got it, down to one, and its a 6-letter s! cnan, I think its a co6 you need.
* notices mamabears icon's have lately have been rather, illicit *
MAMABEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :-D (((((((((((((MAMABEAR))))))))) )))) *does a little happy dance*
blame spring fever, nut!
LOL Hey Mama!!!!! Hope you didn't hurt yourself too much there.
mikey, if you will remember, i had it crammed firmly up my a**
<picks mamabear up and attempts to dress her wounds, only to be told that that wasnt the particular body part that hit the wall. o well, cant blame me for trying>
well, evanonut; i *was* going to appear naked in here, but though better of it, for the time being :-P
Hi mama!
Hey, mamabear and anyone else who just came on. I got a little sidetracked.
oh ja, evanonut.....hehe; good thinking.....smaller would never want to eat it after it's been there! :-P lol
Most of the s 6 are normal - have you the comparative so6/18 for the so4/4 (rhymes with the disdainful sc5?)
nudity is not a good thing in here mikey
no, evanonut; but i thought it was the 'theme' earlier
MAMABEAR? :-/ hmm; guess you missed my greeting? :-/
have the fooler, the one with the double vowel, the eye part, the right angle and the cigar -- clue for the missing co 6?
Hey Mikey! I always want to say Hey Mikey, he likes it!
cnan - halo around the sun, or relly crappy beer thats only redeeming feature is it comes with a lime in the bottle.
hi - can you tell me what advantages there are to turning pro?
ah; ja, smithchick.....i have a yahoo id called that! well, 'mikey_mag_es'.....which is how you say it auf Deutsch, of course :-P
ah well........i guess? *shrugs and returns to finishing the grid*
have that, Haz it's also a cigar -- are there 6 - 6's? or is it a five that I'm missing (have 5 of them)?
Fun, mikey... Angie doesn't lend itself to much fun. Of course there is Helen Reddy's Angie baby and the Stones' Angie.
cnan - only five co6/s. And I am done! Thats the biggest grid Ive ever solved without the list! <cracks open celebratory can of beer>
WooHoo Dachef!!!!
sandr -- you get a stats board that helps you to figure out what you're missing and which letter it begins with (location on the grid) -- also you have the fun of playing with icons and you can let us all know a little bit about you with your profile. Another plus, is that the money goes towards supporting a site without a whole bunch of popups!
Cnan: Co 4x8,5x5,6x5,7x5
Congratulations dachef!
sandr - the main beneift i found from going pro is the grid that show where the starting letters are, really useful when you are getting stuck to to the end of a grid as you know how to work the letter combos. And then you have the icon and bio bits too. :)
sandr advantages of pro, you get an icon with profile You get the flip to stats, which lets you flip to see how many words start with each letter.
Hi Folks :) Can anyone help on my last 2 - the ro5/10 and ro6/18 ? (I have the ro5/10 that a bird sits on...) Thanks!!
sandr - on a cautionary note, I convinced my mum to go pro, and she hates it because now she knows how many words she hasnt found!! It does make it easier to solve though, and when the little boxes go grey (meaning you have found all words begiining with that letter), it is very satisfying in a rather pathetic way!
I must be missing a co 5 then -- have the call, the dove, the utensil for removing the centre of fruit, the plant root, and the things on your toes that hurt --- missing?
the sudoku site lets you complete the archived puzzle though and increase your rankings. Thats not possible here? I thought it migh tbe good to print out old (not completed puzzles) when going on holiday and then fill them in when back -
ro 5+6: ro+ "all ***ners will burn in hell". Problee.
ro5/10 - the last one - used to improve violin strings. ro plus bad deed.
Cnan again thats 5 so you have them all
Hey, bugzy!
ro 5 and plural (6): hardened tree sap -- violinists apply it to their bows to make them sticky
cybernan - you may be missing the caller.
Haz look out for email :)
Thanks dachef and Haz :) All done!!
Pole vaulters and weight lifters also use it on their hands to help strengthen their grip.
and Hey back to you, smithchick :)
cnan - I think thats all the 5's. there are 5xco5's.
tralalalala... evening all :)
Are there any Re words or are they all Ro?

I have 4 en's -- do you have en 4/8?
Nope, all the Er words I have are 4/4
finished...anyone need clues?
thats all the en's. you're probably missing the er6 - "where did I put the remote control? Don't worry is h*** ***".
What's the alphanumeric codes for those two c's, dachef?
There's an er6 you both need to find.
Hi everyone, had to go to town for some appointments. Back now, need to get down and boogie if I am going to finish
hmm, ok...hi again, MAMABEAR!!! :-) ???
cybernan - two c's? Eh?

I hvae a few more than that!
have the eagles and the god -- clue for the last er 4?
Hello all, any hints on the last co6/21
Hi Marc!
last co 6: think of the sound doves make, extend it and pluralize
er4/4 - German for first, or used in English with 'while'

nighters, dachef!
Okay smithchick. Take a do4/5 ( you go into a room through one) - take away one vowel. Then add no5/20 - it rhymes with what you wear on your feet under shoes
Do 4x6, 5x4, 7x3, 8x1. Du 4x2, 5x1. What am I missing?

ko4/8 = think of the center of an apple and then change the 1st letter.
the 2nd ko4/8 has the same 1st 3 letters as the 1st one. add a consonent to the end.
TY Minski I never knew that was a word. Night Karys :)
Could I get a clue for the first co6/21? and the 7/32 after?
1st co6/21 is a man's name with a double consonent in the middle. the co7 is the plural.
harpjane..co6..add two letters to the previous co4 and then pluralise it
all done, i can have an early night for once

no cu's
there are no cu words
Hi, don't know if my other message got through. Need clue for ti7,28 pleeeeze
I need a clue for the co4 that comes in between "doves" and "varmint" (I think!)
Hi everyone!!!
hi
ti 7/28 is plural of the 6/18
Hi peri
hi peri
co4 try the center of an apple
HJ - there is no co4 between doves and varmint
okie dokey minsky, i was afraid of that....
the center of an apple is right after varmint though.
there is a 5/12 that goes with the center of an apple

Ren, I have to lay down for a bit. yell for me when you're ready to play..:-)
ok chic - give me a couple of hours.
okay, bbnaz -- you asked for it (and I have witnesses)
bbnaz~ since no one else is taking you up on your offer... how about the first wo6/30?
hee hee. remember those scarves people used to wear a few years back that were like a tube? 5 letters
the last two co -- please, and the last two en, and the first er.... we'll start with those :-)
BGL - when you come in first you are the WI****. just exchange the "i" for the "o" then make it plural
STID CO the guy who looks at dead folks and the price of something
Thanks! I would have NEVER tried that one... are we sure it's a word...
which one BGL?
ER er + 4th vowel + snake letter & ER**while (without the while)
oops Stid the EN is the beginning of something REALLY BIG the other EN finishes with the cry you make when you hammer your finger with a hammer (not OUCH)
as for the first ER think cockney dropping the "h" when they are stopping a flow of conversation.... not there but hER* + not later but ***
bbnaz-- these are all good and helpful cluse... I am not sure the cry *i* make when I hammer my hand is in this grid... ;-)
like i said, i can confuse
I agree stid... there's no "f" in the grid! :)
the circular vowel and the upside down m
How about the last 2 in's
ROFLMFAO too good chortling away here
bbnaz -- i got it! *I only use those "other" words when my kids are NOT around*
well i am really "crazy" and even "crazier"
I'm stuck on last RO 5.10 & 6.18and the second EN5.12 pls
it is so nice to be able to give help after taking it so often!
Let me get this straight... pfft IS a word and tisk is NOT a word?!
Lynxxx would that be the white stuff that gymnasts put on their hands? both singular and plural
Lynxxx something that is really huge is EN + round vowel + hook letter + upside down "w"
BGL that would be tssk tssk
probably bbnaz - if I knew what it was!
is that the ro that violinists use on their bows?
RO + snake letter + third vowel + upside down "u"
yipperee Stid
BGL did you get the IN?
ahhh, i thought that was just for violins!
TY BB and stid.
No, I'm still trying ... "crazy" huh?
gymnasts use it too. that is generally before the vault, rings, bars et cetera
In + snake + first vowel + upside down "u" + second vowel then again with second vowel on the end followed by hook letter
BBnaz, still working on that first er + "this point in time"? but that's only five letters, and not a wurd in the grid...
ro4/5? I have the medieval cross. I'm lost on the other. Thanks!
Duh! I would ahve gotten there ... eventually! :)
Thanks bbnaz
bbnaz -- i just got it -- the brains are a little slow today...
Hey Harp....try the stone word without the "k" and put the snake on the end
Harp.... RO + third letter + snake
ro 4/5 sounds like it should be told off
youse guys are great! Thanks! I have seven to go, all d and e's. Will catch them later, after a fundraiser gig. off to harp land!
well, I need to take an eyeball break -- bbnaz, thanks so much for your help1 I am down to 29 words to go :-)

Those COs were deadly for me. Kumquat...how many more to finish?
oh i only have 65 words cos i started about half an hour ago
Billie Joe -- how does it feel to just finish recording your first record???
where are you Kumquat?
mmmmm...WONderful!!
England
So Kumquat...do you have the 8 and 7s yet? the 8 is portal you enter house through minus one vowel + the action of "rapping" on the door plural
hmm not yet
do now!
couple of the 7s are the same first word with both circular vowels there + male singular then again with the male made plural
ok i really need to head off . thanks for your help i've had fun tonight
make that 8 singular and you have the 7 before it more sevens the fellow who examines the deceased the part of your eye that can be transplanted plural (and it is singular too)
g'nite. off to bike shop will be back later. Give me novocaine..........
I will wish you all fun babbling, and goodnight.
Goodnight, wren

Good evening

thanks musicmom, that's a word i'll have fun trying to work into conversation at work
there's the clue bonkler ------ two sets of double vowels.
musicmom, thanks ever so much, another new word for me
oh good you got it.
KO6 sounds like an African/Island mystical religion that involves sacrificial goats, but start it with a K rather than what you'd expect.
still confused but will work on it, ty
mab I have the sleeping sound> I need the one right after the netlike hair cover,
K+double vowel+consonant+double vowel.

Do you have ne pair that has a double vowel in the middle?
lynx n + double vowel #2 + double hump letter

Oops, sorry. You're welcome, Periwinkle, I mean.
found the wo5/18
Nope not done. Had to do dumb stuff like clean out the van and be mom.
Still have 22 words to go.
wo5 one who courts, and those who court being plural
WO 5/18 would be an older term for a suitor, and its plural.
I only filled one garbage bag when I cleaned out the van :)
musicmom the person who opens the entrance?
Fortunately we recently hauled the GS troop so there wasn't much trash. Just all my teaching bags from this week.

inge, do you have the game you play with the little faces? sn + double vowel + consonant?
peri: re 6/21 na 4/5 again
Hi Josh! IT is HORRIBLE. I actually wanted to cry. Forget bohemian and go ugly
inge and tarajane, thanks
There is an SN 5/12 right above the sleeping one; it's a type of hairnet, contains a double vowel.
ro4/8 and the ro5/18 right after it anyone?

Layne, I dont know the game with faces, that may be what I needl. But it comes out like the word for hair net.
RO 4/8 and RO 5/18 -- think chess, and then pluralize it.
only 20 words to go, S and N words, need to take a break, will be back to finish
inge, did you pluralize the sn 4/4? to be in a sn**?
Leslie Ann that did it. I have finished at last. I am passing around dark chocolate to all of you.

The last so 5/10?
bonkler -- the person who finishes the game first is the w***** -- change out the vowel for the o... then plural for the next word.
WO 6/30 -- think of the person who comes in first in a contest, he's the w-----. Now change the first vowel.
176 words Schwer

Layne - isn't that the so6?
Sorry-I mispoke about the in's. I have the opp of outer and the plural, but am missing another 3 in's. Any help to be had?
co 4/6 and the next 5 are a type of root that plants grow from... (sorta like tubers or bulbs...)

Oops, let me try again. SO 5/10 (the last one): your birthday is the day you were ----. Change the first letter, add the curvey letter.
6 left to find.
musicamom think about crazy
cliffopa -- why exhausted? is it that playful?
Thanks Layne!
eva - do you have the crazy ones (some people think i am in****)
I have those in words - thanks!
*musters my last bit of strength to do the happy dance of doneness* oh thank you for all the clues I got, couldn't have done it w/o you!
Am i the only one confused by the ranking stats? Yesterday's points did not get added and I lost two points in teh who's hot standing. What gives?
in6 craaaaazy, in 7 even more crazier. in 4 in + what michael did in the boat to get to shore, but without a w
Eva so sorry wasn't paying attention to names and have been addressing you incorrectly mega aopologies. I am an idiot...
Inge I'm confused too. I haven't increased in the who's hot column in a long time.
stidmama - had to run to the vets, the kitten's back legs weren't working. nerve damage, but hopefully temporary. and of course i had to just watch 'his cuteness' all day :)
er6/30?
oh, cliffopa, I hope his little legs will recover. If he's like our elder son, the young body/brain has remarkable re-wiring skills!
See ER 6/30 clue at 8:04 p.m.
misic mom er 6/30 old fashioned way of saying 'before'
er 6 before the present. poetic
MM excellent clue for er 7 given at 8:06
YAY tndaisy *dance, dance*
fortunately the xrays showed nothing broken or out of place. probably just pinched by the biting dog who mauled him.
Thanks Layne Missed that one before.
or 5/10: or + single hump letter + "to be" third person singular
what happened to the dog?
hooray tridaisy!
or 5? i must be gettting close, so many words, the monkey is tired.
oh, cliffopa, you are lucky. i lost a cherished cat by a dog mauling ( i was pet sitting a very *sweet* dog) -- awful.
thanks stidmama. answers even before asked lol.
gotta get dinner. BRB
Just got disconnected and had to fight my way back on. Phone service up here is pretty marginal, let alone broad band, which is nonexistent. Anyway, thanks for the i's!! Can't believe I didn't see the crazy ones!!
Have I mentioned I HATE packing?
do 8/70?
I'm going outside and play with the garden hose...it's hotter than a ho' house in here... If he doesn't take that cover off the swamp cooler tomorrow...there's gonna be a killin'....nite folks:)
do8/70 is plural of 7/52
to prove i am a total dimbulb. i have been monkey typing for two words to finish. my problem, i had the words, just hadn't checked them on my list. d'oh i'm done!
me too. Let's just not pack anything. I think I'm going to pack a separate little bag for overnight at mom's.
the final so6/18 & 5/12???
That's what we're doing only it has for your house and mom's
hooray bonk!
someone please talk me through the k words. Is the oven for baking pottery the first one? Any hint on the first 7
cliffopa, guigirl, one of my cats was mauled by a dog 'who just loves cats' two summers ago. It was awful, but she survived after several surgeries and is perfect now. I'm so sorry, guigirl for your experience - how utterly traumatizing. And cliff, a little kitten!
the dog was some kind of terrier. the owners also had this kitten. they wanted to get rid of the kitten and keep the dog, so the vet called to ask if i would take the kitten. apparently a biting dog was more appealing.
so 6/18 like the right angle co word
Bravo Bonkler.
so6/18 & 5/12 one who so4/4s and the plural of so4/4
MM - yes you are correct
wow, got 140 done without the list... i think i'm starting to catch on!
ty
Never mind - have the ki 7 words. DUH DUH DUH!
Yes, first the pottery oven, and plural, then the lottery or German word for movies, and plural, then word for relatives,
ki4 the oven and plural ki4 a gambling game ki + negative, then plural ki4 relatives ki7s formal description of relative and relatives ki4 sounds like past tense of smooched ki4 what models come in
mab, the name i picked for my new kitten is "Brady", after a certain very cute quarterback for new england :)
I am overtired and getting a headache so I"ll call it a day. See you tomorrow in the grid log. Bye
Ty Ty for help on the k words. Down to 5 words left.
MM - does Hannah know where we're going Friday?
OOOO cliff he is a cutey --- the qb
DONE DONE DONE, thanks so much folks! Hi cliff-you're back too. Sounds like the kitty needs a little sedative slipped into her dinner(-: Years ago I was washing dishes, looking out the kitchen window, and saw our 17 year old cat being mauled by 2 of the neighbor's dogs. It was a 25 minute drive to the vets, she had punctured lungs, fractured, ribs, and we didn't think she'd make it. But she was a tough old lady and came through it fine. The neighbor's didn't want to pay for the vet bills, despite the fact that their dogs were roaming free, because "if it had been our cat we would have had her put down".
Yes I bribed her with it the other night when she was throwing a fit. Showed her the website.
Cute name. I'm ashamed to say I know nothing about football. I think Brady will be fine, though -- I've watched enough of the animal channel to say that with confidence!
good night inge. Thanks for the help.
well done eva!
One more comment. I too love the animal channel MAB
We bought her 3 books - mazes, dot-to-dots and what's the difference. The dots are up to 150 - hope she can count that high! :)
Bravo Eva.
good night all.

Oh Eva, you could have sued those people in small claims court, but if it was your neighbor.... That's a scary story, but nice that it had a happy ending. I was never able to contact my neighbor and didn't really want to sue anybody.
oh yes - she can count that high.
congrats tara!
Bravo Tarajane

nrk, or + one of the seven deadlies, backwards
re 6: to create again
oooh -KennyChuck! That was an amazing clue!
Stid, you are suh a faithful helper. I ask you, does the elusive "w" word seem possible, grammatically? Anyway, youve helped me find it.All I'm missing now is the ro4/5. Shall I go through a list again and risk using some (gulp) words?
Une: re is a prefix for na4
Uneai...To do the NA4/5...again

haha all running together stid?
Done! See you all at the flip! :-)
The mythical bird doesn't seem to be in the enaber list, I'll try monkeying. I have the Cross synonym. One of my favourite Anglo-Saxon poems is "The Dream Of the ****"
oh boy, are they! I am even starting to forget what I've forgotten...
hooray unea!
YAY Uneaixsoise! see you later!
hetty, i'm pretty sure what you're missing is ro 5/20 minus the k
hetty are you sure your last word is a 4/8 and not a 4/9? there is an ro 4/9 that means stone...
I have got only 4 left - can anyone help with DO4.5 & 5.12 (first set I think - have the person who does) - then DO 5.12 (before the thing you open) - and lastly DO 4.5 - the last one. TY
last do 4/5 is easiest... the things you go in and out of less a vowel.
first do 4/5: italian for "lady", could also mean "to give" in Latin the do 5 is the plural of course
do 5/12 before the thing you open... is "one who receives" (as opposed to one who gives) ends with a double vowel
do 4/5 - the do*** with jim morrison, minus an o
gotta give the dog some medicine BRB
stidmama - you are a sweetheart - finished now TY
congrats lynxx!
think i'll take off - see y'all at the flip!
done.
leslie -ann, you were absolutely right and I take my yellow-beribboned hat off to you. Thanks to both you and Stid I have completed, and now I can join my patient husband, who is waiting to share a Monyt Python tape with me. Goodnight, sweethearts

harp: you finished! yay!
ti7/28 pretty please
SueQ! You went pro! woo-hoo!
ti 7/28 is the plural of the ti 6.18
Yes I am a babbleholic
Thank you ever so
Looks like one hour left... I am multitasking (again) if anyone else needs clues, just ask!
Okay, I'm missing osme wo's. The first wo6/30 and the first wo5/18
hi everyone :) how goes it?
hi talk!
hey stid... wassup?
the first wo 6/30: opposite of loser, change the first vowel (the 7 is the plural)
i think i've come to the conclusion i probably won't finish most grids on here.... but i'm mastering iron sodoku lol my vocab sucks
the first wo 5/18: one who courts (old-fashioned term for a fella who wants to catch a gal), the six is the plural, the 4 immediately after is the act of doing this...
I came to the opposite conclusion when I started -- the sudoku was brutal for me, but i didn't mind mucking about in the grid! LOL
Stid, you are amazing
*blush* aw, shucks!
By the way, that's my granddaughter, wassup's daughter
she's adorable! four? five?
mine, of course, left adorable behind a looong time ago! 11 and 13... their own challenges and advantages, to be sure! But not adorable...
lol I can figure the grids out if i use the a-z sheetsand resources like that ... but most nights i can only get through a little over half and then i throw in the towel. plus i like to be able to figure out the words on my own or with clues, not by using the a-z things... with sodoku it's all on me
5, she's my oldest grandbaby, her brother is 4 other daughter has a 10 month old and is expecting any day
I cant believe that korma doesn't get in.
You sound like the proudest grandma I've ever heard! My two are the only ones my mother will have, but my mother in law will have 6 soon (her only daughter is also expecting her second)
good morning student! there have been some rather interesting omissions lately, and quite a few puzzling inclusions!
any help on the ki's? i still need the 7's.
ki 7/48: your relatives, singular and plural; ki 4 + masculine nouns
thank you!
yw... :-)
so how old is everyone and what do you all do?
im 26 and a stylist for anthropologie
a littel help with do7/52, and i assume the plural is do8/70?
hmm -- not as old as the hills, but older than the trees... LOL (can you tell I'll hit forty soon?) today I didn't much, actually except try to ignore the migraine -- usually I'm just a mom with a big garden!
yes, do 7/52: one vowel short of a walk-through opening + no 4/9 then plural for the 8
Good grief, that was random, thanks again stidmama
anyone else want help?
and fyi, the do 7/52 is defined as "A coarse sort of damask, originally made at Tournay (in Flemish, Doornick), Belgium, and used for hangings, carpets, etc. Also, a stout figured linen manufactured in Scotland."
er6/30?
er 6/30: old-fashioned way of saying "before this moment;" h*** and ***
stid...huh?
okay -- compound word, first part is last three letters of the word meaning "this place" h*** + a three letter word meaning "this minute"
more help on the er 6 -- second vowel + short hook consonant before s + repeat the vowel + single hump consonant + round vowel + letter before x
Bless you, got it
whew! that 's a tough one to clue for!
well, guess i'll see you on the other side! :-)
