I survived my first day at work. And my first day missing the flip. *sniff* Livia was awesome, she and Seth went to bed around 7pm, which is great for Seth. Seh is still asleep, but I'm going to hang around for a bit, I suspect she'll be up soon enough.

me 8/60
hi 8/50
halfway--time to try to go to sleep again. good luck to all
It's TUESDAY and what a list of words today!!!!! Hope I can finish. Will be following the clues I am sure.
Rumple - I got the email - thank you. Had to write out the grid for now. will study it while I work and come back later with words. Happy babbling everyone
me 7/36 and ma 7/36
un9/78 I found it!!!
Morning dear gang :) I should have been on my way to my study class right now, but my daughter fell ill :( Poor little thing, bad pain in the abdomen. Will go see the doctor with her in about an hour. Life is the magic thing that always manages to overrule your planning ;)
Evening/morning Sprite! all the best with the doc!
At least we know for sure it cannot be her appendix.
Hi all! Any help with GE 4/7?
stones used for jewelry
diamonds, sapphires, etc.
How easy was that?! Darn!
Lol! We all know that feeling... ;)
Marc!!! You got me hooked on this, read about it I think in your blog, now I am hooked!
Hihi cat... well done Marc!
Hi Sprite! :)
Welcome in the growing circle of addicts, Cat :)
Thank you! I have been playing for weeks, and LOVE it!
Provide someone with a noble steed again should be Re7, with the one(s) doing it making Re8 and 9, plus another 8 for the 3rd person singular... too bad enable doesn't agree! :( Good to have you with us, Cat, I got hooked here years ago and never left, lol.
72 words 2 go off to work bye all
good morning everyone:)
Good morning Jean and everyone else. Lots of words today!
morning Haz good grid today hope I can get loads lol
It looks okay so far, but a long way to go!
Morning all, Hi Haz did you have a good evening? Why did I start this grid it is too big :((
it certainly does only on here for a short time will have to come back later hopefully find some more
Yes thanks FMitch - really relaxing day yesterday. I'll have to catch up today. Pity the grid is so big, but once you start.....
Am trying a different appreoach today, got all the q's and m's done and will clear the s's then must stop as have tons to do too.:)
I always start with good intentions of being organised, but it soon turns into a free for all! Hope the new method works well.
I'm not going to start Haz, much too big today, I'll keep looking in from time to time to see how you are all getting on
only doing it that way to clear some of the bigger volumes out the way and leave nice stuff for later (well thats the theory anyway.)
Well, best of British FMitch
Morning ExWren :)
Good morning, ex-Wren! Not even tempted by the re s in two places?
Three places!
Did you read in yesterdays log, that Dr_God is updating the site this week?
No - are there any details?
Oh - what did he say ExW?
I don't know exactly what is going to happen, I think he is changing the chat log, similar to that in Iron S...... (that game I can't do or pronounce)
You know the numbers thing better than me, FMItch - how does the chat log differ?
I've just had a quick look at the list, now I know I'm not playing, millions of re's and qu's
Ah, but you were tempted for a minute weren't you?
I remember him saying something about that when sudoku first came along, :( The chat log in sudoku would be where the word list is in babble. Not sure how that's going to work.
I'm glad I'm not the one having to figure it out! We'll just have to wait and see what he presents us with.
Right - he called it a new and improved babble. He's bringing over the chatterbox from the S game; no need to flip between stats and word list; and FIREWORKS!!
I see manufacturers of fruit juice are represented today. (qu8/60)
Well, the fireworks will be welcome!
right off to do some jobs bbl happy babbling everyone
Bye jean - was called away to the phone there so missed you going!
Have to go and do something more useful. Will be back later.
does anyone have a clue for the un9/78?
un + qu7/40
Well, the little girl has a huuuuuge inflammation of the bladder. Not nice, but treatable and not too serious. She's got medicines now, so I hope she will be feeling better soon. Less pain anyway.
m, q and s's done and so am I. Back in a while.
ive managed to get qu6/33 but not qu9/78
jo-jo ... do you still mean un9/78? sounds like a disturber of the peace.
yeah thats the one lol.
try it this way... un + not noisy + sound of hesitation (... oddly, I don't have a qu6/33 ... goes hunting)
ahh thankyou
yw, jo_jo
100 left, good time for a break, see everyone later.
oh Sprite... hope she feels better soon!!
Sprite, I am so sorry to hear that. I have had many bladder infections and they are horribly painful. Give her a hug for me and a cupcake
Good morning/afternoon/evening, everyone. I said to Paul (my other half) only yesterday, 'I bet there'll be a big grid on Tuesday when everyone is back at work'.
good morning everyone. Jacula, what a beautiful icon! re hell in spades!
Hi, Eva. I thought the icon would do nicely for today's th5/14 of 'exotic places'. Don't know about the re's yet, as I'm not using a list so far. I imagine there are qu5/16 a few though!
Hi rumple, thanks, I will! :)
Sprite - I'd like to apologise for the misunderstanding we had a while ago. I'm afraid you caught me at a bad time. However, I hope we can get over that.
Sure we can, Jac. No hard feelings. Hope you are feeling a little bit better now.
I am, thank you, Sprite. Sorry to hear your little girl is poorly. A bladder infection is v. painful. She needs plenty of water or barley water to help flush it through.
If the crew running the world were capable of doing what you two just did, we would all be in much better shape.
It's always so sad, a little girl in so much pain. We'll be sure to let her drink plenty indeed. I have just taken a... what is it called... sample to the hospital, where they will make it into something that will reveal the cause of the infection in a few days.
(((Eva)))
True, Eva, butsadly, the prospect of an untroubled world is about as likely as the moon being made of cheese.x
luckily urinary tract infections, as painful as they are, usually respond really quickly to medication. And cranberry juice - but not the sweetned cocktail-the straight, unsweetened stuff, if you can get her to drink it. And vitamin C or anything that acidifies the urine.
Sprite - I hope she's better soon.
Good tips, all of them, thank you both. She will drink anything that helps, she is a sensible and brave little lady. Stupid I did not think of cranberry juice, I used to know that. *hops off to get some*
Seeing Merp there reminds me that I am an hour late feeding the cats. I'd better go and do it. BBL.
Gulp...you mean the moon isn't made of cheese? I agree that the prospect of any kind of sanity and compassion ruling the world is incredibly slim. But I am still very appreciative of sanity and gentleness and awareness wherever and whenever it appears.
I am sure she will, Jac, now she has antibiotics. She had an infection last year, that was so serious it was mistaken for appendicitis. But in between she's been okay, so I am pretty sure the medication will take.
also Sprite, I don't know if she has any tendency towards yeast infections, but if she takes antibiotics that is always a risk, and taking acidopholus or eating lots of yogurt at the same time will protect the ph balance and restore the ecology of the system some.
90 words left to find and I am really stuck! May need to just back off for a while. Merp thinks that's an excellent idea.
17 qu's? you've got to be kidding.
hi mia. Very quiet right now. Yup-and I've found 14 of them thus far.
i've only founds three, sigh. heh.
the patterns will emerge
argh. i don't have time to do a big puzzle today, i've got too much to get on with away from the computer, lol. i found a fifth of the words, i guess that'll have to do ! lol.
I know, I have to paint the bedroom today. Will stop babbling soon.
Ho8/50 centaur?
And Tm6/21: separation of the parts of a compound word by one or more intervening words; for example, where I go ever instead of wherever I go. That is becoming a regular in these grids, isn't it?
Hello all! Nice big one today. I've got all the biggies except the hi8/50 and an8/45. Any clues?
Hi8: up till here. An8/45: not a very brave person :)
yay sprite! thx - actually normal words. Should have seen those.
We are becoming so trained in looked for odd words, we tend to overlook the normal ones ;)
*looking
thanks for the an8 sprite!
Nice one, isn't it! :)
missing 2 8's. I have: an8/45 an8/55 hi8/50 ho8 /50 me8/60 qu8/60 qu8/55 re8/6 0 Any ideas?
I know they're going to end up being re's and I'm going to have to throw myself off the nearest tall building.
Ma8/45 is one.
se8/50 - linguistics term ma8/45 - ummm...sounds like a not-particularly-well-known Tom Selleck movie?
*drags Eva away from the tall building, saying reassuring things like 'no, no, there are no more big Re's, you found them all'*
thanks guys....I know I haven't found all the re's, but the delusion will serve for now. Have to go hunting for the two you gave me. Hmmmm....
got the se. Funny how sometimes youjust need to type in the word you want...even though you can't see how it is there. And then it turns out that it does connect properly.
For the Ma8: do you have the As5/10? Start with M and make it even more so.
any more clues for that ma8? I keep thinking of that really good westernmovie he did, but don't even know the title and anyway its probably not the right one.
got it Sprite! Thanks again.
Way back in the beginning Atalante told me: just type in any word you think might be there, even if you don't see how to make it. Often it works nonetheless :)
No, it was a jewel-thief thingy, if I remeber correctly. Has to do with jaws (not the movie), but that's probably not much help either.
And that's me done for today. Any more clues before I go back to my little girl?
Hello everyone, I'm not playing today, but just changed my icon, it's the beach at Mayreau, in the Caribbean
Sprite you amaze me! Do you have a list of the 7's?
Hi exwren!
Working on the 7-list :)
Sprite-don't worry about it. I hadn't realized how long a list it is and you have your daughter to care for. I think I'll paint walls for a while and hope for inspiration to get through the last 67.
Could really use a clue for the te6/21 and the th7/36 to finish the t's off .. please :)

wow, sprite, you are amazing
I think that's them all, but I will not count. Hope this helps you finish :) I am off now, have a great day/night/whatever all of you.
Te6/21: proposition that is maintained by argument
(((sprite and little sick one)))
Yeah sure, that was Th6/21. You mean Te6/21, as you asked. That is a voiceless unaspirated stop in ancient Greek.
Thanks Sprite!
my boobs itch
hi sprite - just starting out so trying not to look at the clues which a quick glance revealed you have posted
oops - forgot to change - refresh!
thx Sprite - I was agonizing over that te6/21
hey hey hey all
Good morning, all!
okay, now i'm dressed. not that he wasn't exotic!
Mornin' Jera, Evan!
good morning jera, hurshy, everyone
Sprite, your th 7/36 doesn't seem right to me. Yhe th 7 comes after the th6 for the doctoral ___ and I can't find an appropriate word that fits your definition and falls into alphabetical order. Tell me where I'm wrong
That's twice today I've found a word by mis-typing another word, LOL
How we doing, everyone?
ARB - Sprite's list is correct: "h6/24 & th7/36"
ARB: Hi6/24 towards this place, + T.
ktf buuuudddyyy - didn't see ya!
*grin* I'm hiding under all of the big words...
oh no! big words, i never find the big words!
guess that means i'm small minded.
OK I don't see it. More help please on the TH 7/36
There's a stack today. Argh. I think 64 is the most I'm going to get.
i never finish puzzles ktf, used to occasionally and realized that for me, it took all the fun out of it.
I suppose it's fun to keep on truckin'. I'm finding them here and there...
keep plugging away buddy
Found the damn TH!! Any help available on the ne 6/21?
ARB: running from here to there. I think maybe you need to think of another vowel than the doctoral ____ takes.
Ne6/21 is very related to the Th and H, lol! Other word for nor, and not.
You're right, SPrite. I looked at your last clue again and you made me get out of the box
Or no, that would take an A as well. This one is 'lower'. Like in the country I live.
Finished. Yippee
Good work!
*_*_*_*_A*_*R*_*B*_*_*_*_*_*
Congrats! Really off now (meant I instead of A of course, in previous post, time I quit posting nonsense). Bye all!
Bye!
tatatasprite
Huzzah for ARB!
Tonight there will be REAL fireworks -- Tomorrow is Independence Day in Israel and tonight there are fireworks. We live about 200 yards from the 15 story building in the middle of Tel Aviv from which they fire them -- if the wind is right, the ashes fall on us!
Holy cow, I just found 're4'. I'm so ashamed of myself.
arb, dr_g says we will soon have fireworks in here!
How cool is that, ARB! Such fun! (I love fireworks)
So do I, along with parades and circuses. It's the child in me.
brb, gotta feed the littlie
80 words. *eats chocolate to celebrate*
(keeping in mind that I suck)

*passes around chocolate* But of course.
Hi everyone. Didn't finish yesterday's as I got back from the football too late, and not much chance of finishing today's either, but at least it is a fun one :)
I thought that moose was a spider...
mmm, chocolat at 8:50 am - what a great country!
Hah, I'm in Sweden, it's almost 3pm.
hey, no wonder i never see that ktf kid.
*grin* I'm elusive...
like hiding behind the big words?
And, *sniff* I'm not a KID. I'm old enough to drink in your country... *grin*
i call everyone kid!
HEY, I am glad to see someone from SWEDEN, home of my ancestors. We have been there in the winter. It was very cold. Our exchange student was from Asele. We saw the Northern Lights. They were beautiful Valkommen
Fair enough... Maybe I should start calling everyone 'doll.'
haven't even been to canada - stopped into haiti once.
Not from Sweden, sorry. (But hej!) Just visiting from Australia. My girlfriend lives here.
sweden, australia, such places!
What town?
It is bloody cold, though, eh? I almost died coming to snow from an Aussie summer. Brr!
I'm in Södertälje.
well that clears it up for me...kiddo
*cough* Rather, Sodertalje, but with dots over the o and a.
Kiddo, bah! *grin*
I'll have to look on my map and see where that is in relation to Asele. We were up in Lappland country and saw all the Lapps with their reindeer and teepees
oh, and old enough to drink doesn't necessarilly make you very old ktf.
Barely 21, actually.
see! seee! you're just a young pup!
The first thing Susanna wanted to do was get her driver's license as they can't do that in Sweden until they are 21.
It's really hard to get your licence here, I've heard. And petrol is mega expensive. But public transport is good.
I'm very mature for my age, I'll have you know. *hides juggling balls*
yes...very ;-)
Hey, I'm just glad that I'll be able to drink when I visit the US.
Am I spelling reich wrong?
hello, everyone!
72!!!!! *sails an oreo pie through the air*
Where are you from, Student? Which state, I mean...
Woo!

Hi veryone
Hi nut

you could pretend you did it!
I'm going to sit on 84 words. Ciao everyone! - The Kid
bye kiddo!
do you have the walk arrogantly sa7/32?
sa 7/32 - s + against (a 4/4) + cons + plural
yep, have that one, jera; thanks, though.
Maybe arrogantly is the wrong word... walk casually is a better def
thanks, bunnyv--i wouldn't have gotten that one.
Oh goody more foreign money... woulda never gotten that one... thanks, bv!
YW
hey bunny! was just asking for you last night!
Sorry, I've been out for a bit. Picking up extra shifts while the twins were at g-mas for the week. Both sets of me grandparents are ill, so I've been cooking and cleaning for three families.
wow, bunny, your halo is WELL polished!!
Are the archives new?
LOL, but crooked still!
good morning to everyone. i guess it is time for a humility check for me. big puzzle today.
anyone having problems that all words get added to one's list even if they are not correct.....then meed to refresh to get rid of them????
humility is overrated
I guess semite ..is a proper noun..
droman, i get that every now and then
does it correct itself?
Hi all..My hour is up..sometimes I do an hour and a half..but not often. Got 115 words..and that will do it for me..Would be in here all day if I tried to finish..lol. Good luck on babbling.

Taking a break with 100 to go... time for a trip to the Library with the littlie!
I meant doesn't, still on my first cup o' joe...

lianakate, haven't seen you in ages--hope you're doing well!
Help me, please. I'm stuck in the quagmire (aka "the RE's).I have up to ..if you don't own your home, you re** a place to live....followed by re7-7-8...or should be followed by those, but I'm stuck beyond the beyond! Any help would be appreciated.
re 7 & 8 - def. mass for deceased...or... re + word for hush, change last cons
Tell me if that doesn't help, i'll try to cook up another one.
If you all got my message, I want you to know, I'm not ignoring you, my computer isn't refreshing the log????
bunny -- I am a bit (okay a LOT) confused on your SA 7 clue...could you try again?
sa 7/32 - def. french currency ... or ... sa*d (what you find on a beach + abbrev for a mans name ***othy, plus plural
thanks that worked and now the SA ones are done!
Great!
te6/21, please?
te 6/21 - speel almost identical to a sport you play with yellow balls and a racket, change second double cons to last vowel
thannks, bunny! : )
yw
All right, I am done! Anyone need a clue before I go?
Congrats bunny!!! Afternoon all.
newbie question...how do you people know what words you're missing?
Hello Mitch
By comparing to a second letter list.
Try Lickety's under friends of babble in the right top corner of the page.
ty, will check it out
HAve a look at Angelsongs resource page too fit hints and tips.
I better get to the store, my niece has one diaper left! See ya'll tomorrow hopefully!
Bye bunny
thanks for the help, bunny! see you later...
Hey TO, bit of a big grid today, how are you getting on with it?
Afternoon all. How's the new approach to finding words going, FMItch?
Oh Hi ya Haz afternoon. psychologically it really helped by clearing some of the higher volume letters out of the way, then monkey tyed a lot and am at 217 now.
You're miles ahead of me, then! Good to know you've been helped psychologically.... (you know I'm joking)
Have you finished yet?
No, I'm on 153 and doing the filling in of the list bit.
LOL, you know there is no hope for me there!
Ja!
sorry, mitch - head down and working! i don't have many big words - just plodding along
ROFL Haz
need one AS 6/21. I have the one for something in the debit column, or something you own.
if you disembark from a boat, you go ash***
as 6/21 - can either be the opposite of at sea, or having more remains after a fire.
the weather forecasters says its going to be 75 degress towards the end of this week, can this really be so?!
I'll beleive it when I see it. They also told us it was going to be the coldest winter for decades. Today is cold and blustery here.
can someone please help with the re7/28 before the funeral music?
Use the re4/4 and go vertical ly up the grid for the ending.
thanks, mitch...i think it's time for a break...
Anyone care to clue me up re: the funeral music re7.....
Verdi wrote a famous one.
mozart wrote a famous one, punster...it uses the double-letter tile
ty, haz.....
hi everybody! : ) FMitch, Punster, are you coming to the babblemoot? huh? are you? huh? huh?

Who could refuse such a delicately worded invitation?
Hi Babbler Unable to attend Im afraid :(

gosh I didn't think of that! I should take my camera!!! :D
hi folks. Anyone got a clue for the ur 6/27?
HAve to have some photos for posterity!!!
ur 6/27 = same beginning 3 letters as ur 6/21 + first three letters of famous mouse
hee hee, ok, I am the photographer extraodinaire, I'll be on the case, FMitch! LOL :D
ur6/27 - medical word. ur plus anagram of mi4/6
Haz, are you coming? : )
ty Haz/bookgrrl! :)
No, thanks for the invitation, though.
Punster, are you and Movieman coming? : )
I can't speak for punster, but I unfortunately cannot make it, either....
: ( Haz, I thought you might not, I don't know where Co. Antrim is but I don't think it's anywhere near London.
movieman - why are you logged on as punster then?
oh Punster/Movieman! We soooo want to find out if you are one or two people! : D
afternoon all, just finished work. now its time to catch up.
It's nowhere near London, you're right. Co Antrim is at the top of Ireland - next stop the Atlantic. It makes for bracing sea-bathing!
Because punster gave me his p/w in case I needed help, and I forgot to log off last night....
thanks for the ur word, folks -- see you later...

fitch...bab. anon says there is an re6/27 after the re8/60

et7 - to the et add the ending of a breed of cattle (fr*****)
this is weird...I have 258 words, but not the right number of points...can someone explain...I figure I am missing an re6/27 and ma6/30
Ouwa, yr right BJs list does say a 6/27. I have all the r's and I don't have the 6/27 the next one after the 8 is re4/4..... strange????
ma6/30 - type of disguise used at a ball.
Good morning all. Haz, I trust you are he6/21. . .super clue for me to start the day with. Then I scroll down to say "Hi" and find another super clue for ur6/27. Won't you be my buddy?

help needed please re 7 28
Hey all... I'm back for more fun!
Hello hetty - are you well? I'm still working my way through the grid, but I'm glad to help out with any clues.
Ouwa - try a F5 refresh and see if that clears the anomoly. I have a feeling it is to do with the qu letters and BJ's program.
re7/28 - extends the leasing re4/4 with a comparative ending.
thanks haz
I'm well, thanks, and I love your clues. Did you know my surname rhymes with "clues"? Maybe that's why it's the part of babbling I like best--access into other brighter minds, don't you know. Now I'll return to the grid like you. Have a happy day
hello all!!!!!!
hetty - I don't know about 'brighter' - from your profile you're hardly a slouch! But I do enjoy clue-giving and it's even better when the clues work!
hi, baggo! how are you?
well blow me down (((baggo))) babble buddy - how are you?
good and you????
mitch...i refreshed and now I agree with lickety, but not bab. anon...so apparently I am finished
oooh!!! hello, stranger!!! (((Baggo))) : D
So come on Ouwachtia - say it....
(((fmitch)))) how are ya honey????
*waits for Ouwa*
(((babbler)))) long time no chat...seems like when i come on no one else seems to be here...
ok Haz....here you go....DONE...anyone need a clue??
Excellent!
congrats, Ouwa!! : D
wtg Ouwa.....
afternoon babblers...
Hi, evanadine!
afternoon, evanadine! : )
Huzzah for Ouwa!
anyone got any hugs to spare? i could use a few today... :/
hiya evanadine! hiya jera
((((Evanadine)))) what's up? : (
ooh Hi Jera! : )
dave and i split up last night. :(
i'm well, baggo... ((((evaN))))
Hi, baggo! {{{evandine}}}
((((((((((((((((((((((((Evanad ine )))))))))))))))))))))))))) so sorry to hear that. : (
evanadine, just snuck down the chatline to find another of Haz's clues and instead found your lovely lovely icon. Is the theme today beautiful landscapes, nature or something? How do I discover what the theme for tomorrow is going to be, since it's time for a change?
Hi All, back. Had to get my ham and beans with potatoes and onions cooking. By lunch they will be ready to add dumplings. Yum. Still have 100 words to go.
hetty -- Babbler puts the themes in her profile -- you can bookmark it to refer to when she isnt around... i think todays theme is exotic places? this just happened to be the icon i already had up...
hetty, today's theme is Exotic Places. You will find themes in my profile. Or if you go to Angelsong's site, you will find a link direct to me. : )
(((((evanadine))))) sorry to hear that
in Angelsong's site, it's under Icons....
Doing fine thans baggo, apart from othe phone keeps interuping my babble LOL
Oops. Change my silly message to one of condolence and uplift; hope your smiles will soon return.
nice to hear it fmitch....i see ya all are gettin together, that should be loads of fun....
thanks babbler + all the rest for your hugs. just very surprised by it all, as it happened to suddently and unexpectedly. he realized he never wants to get married...to anyone, ever. and he never wants to have kids either. he wants to spend the rest of his life with me, but not married. i do want to get married, and i do want children someday. 2 years, gone.
He needs to step up or grow up, Evanadine. Don't worry honey, you know what you want and it will come to you. Meantime, you can turn to us for hugs anytime you need. ((((Evan))))
Big, supportive hug, evanadine. Sounds like he has some growing up to do.
yknow, strangely, i can deal with being single... but what hurts the most is that ive lost my best friend. :(
yes, that's the hardest part, Evan. : (
that's the worst part of a breakup i think....
Hope you can go on being friends. I had a break up once, we didn't speak for ten months then bumped into each other in the street and now we're good friends and have been for the 15 years since the breakup. I'm glad now I didn't stay with him. We were unsuited as a couple. But not as friends.
evan, I've been married 53 years to the best of all husbands and the road has been rocky at times. But though I haven't had the heartache you are now feeling I have seen it in my three daughters and four of my six granddaughters and I know well that regret for what seem like wasted years. Only they aren't that. They make you who you are, and one day the memory of them will be sweet again, I promise. Your true prince WILL come and so will those babies, when the time is right. So take heart.
*AGH!* enough of me bringing the mood down in here! im heading out to lunch with a friend soon...gonna load up on pizza or pasta or something else just as heavy. gonna make myself feel better!
well i only have a little bit of time left, don't think i'll finish this one.. I get to go with a friend of mine to see a $20,000,000. home. Each year in our city they raise money for the city hospital by going in and fixing up a home, well the big exec that got nailed for money issues, his home is being used for it, it's on 40 acres and the house is over 24,000 square feet...
well said, Hetty. : ) Evan, no you didn't bring the mood down at all. We're with you, is all. : )
lovely to see you baggo, come back soon :)
hey hey hetty!!! right on...been married 18 and it truly does have it's ups and downs.....we're here for ya evanadine....
wow, didn't know properties that expensive existed, Baggo! Have a great time! : )
(((evan))), chocolate, get chocolate...sorry for the delay, just popped back in.
i shall...i really have missed you all....i have about 30 minutes left, then I gotta go get ready...what does one wear to a house like this????
sorry to hear about your breakup, evaN...
baggo: designer houses are the greatest fun- enjoy it!
i would LOVE if he + i could stay friends. but he has said that if we cant be together, then he never wants to see me again, as it would be too painful for him (as if this isnt painful fo rme!) and as we live 40 minutes apart, it is unlikely i will run into him anywhere... what i really hope is that he will get his head out of his @$$ and see what hes walking away from. we are perfect together, best friends, soul mates.
evaN: that may or may not happen. my sister in law's sister's husband decided that he did not want to be married & a father after three beautiful sons...be very cautious
here go to this site to see the house... www.talktotucker.com search for a new home by street and put in 116th
I hope he realises that too, evan. T-Owl's right, be careful.
Taking a break for a walk with the dog. Evanadine - my sympathies.
see you later Haz
bye haz
Hi all.... I was just checking yesterdays grid and saw that Bookie had 1 extra word ..140 with 1839 points .How can this happen when we all had 139 words with 1825 points?
evan - one more thing, don't consider those two years lost - EVER
s'right, they're not lost. They're there to teach you and for you to learn from. You can't see what yet, but you will.
i have no ill-will towards him. i cant be mad at him for being truthful with me -- he could have just married me + we would have ended up miserable because he did something he didnt want to do. it would be earlier if i were mad at him though.
Hi evan sorry to hear you are having such a bad time at the moment
when i stopped seeing the man everyone thought i was going to marry, they were surprised - 9 years later he's wasting away in prison as a sex offender - things always work out i think.
well, im off to stuff my face. thanks for the good words -- nice to know i can count on my fellow babblers. :)
That is terrible Evan
enjoy your food!!!!!! (((evan)))
or wonderful - think escape!
True
enjoy your lunch! (((((Evan))))
hello folks... anyone have the mi 7?
Is anyone able to answer my query posted at 11.09?
Hi all!
computer glitch, caitlyn??
la sorry havent got it yet.
Hi misst ..........and hi LeslieAnn extend your mi 5/14
with or without the plural?
Without
Extend the mi 5/14 above the mi7/36
uh huh, the plural of people who don't talk
The plural of what they do
any hints on the mi 7?
m4/6 + short form of female sibling.
huh, is that what they call it? i was looking for a y. thanks!
It has got the same ending as em6/21
Speaking of the em6/21... hint, please?
hi kids.
jera, em + vowel + not bro but ***
Hi boreetos
I have a question which I hope one of you can answer--I attempted to enter my 217th word--the screen froze, and now it says I have 1 word error points undefined. Do I really have to begin again?
happy second of may! how many tauri babble?
kate if you refresh the screen it *should* fix itself
Kateq refresh and it should all come back
thanks--but that's not working. I did try refreshing but it stays the same
Maybe close the browser completely, or log out and in again? :(
ok i am totally confused...how man mi 7's re there? May i have clues for them please?
kate, try closing your browser and reopening the page. If that doesn't work, try logging out of babble and then back in.
beckzilla, we are on the same pge!
jinx?
:)
only one mi 7... fmitch clue at 11:37
dropping in for a moment, have to go to work soon, but before I go. Reunion, reunion, reunion; remiss, remiss, remiss; together, together, together. Now i feel better.
Temple only one mi7 try mi 4/6 and end of em6/21
If em6/21 had an n in front it would be your fate.
how many qu's are there? The list says 15 and I have 16. Am I crazy or what?
knut...ok. should i be worried abut you?
hi meg. you were pretty close to saying a word there! :)
there's 17 q's.
Hi knutmeg LOL
TY TY Logged out came back--have 216 words
17 q's, according to stat panel
Riddle me this Batman... why is he7/32 valid, but not semite?
kate. :)
(i've been trying to type in remiss all day) :)
Nagh, I'm fine, except the going to work part. Hard after 4 months off. But this puzzle as way too many almost words!! I know about the word I almost said. :-)
i just typed in remiss. even though you all already said it wasn't in there. I just thought you should know.
me7/44?
well that makes two of us boreetos! :)
me7/44 - resembles the bug that spreads malaria etc - no last vowel on the 7 but put one on for the me8
me 7/44 is the 8/60 minus the vowel on the end
Thanks all, Brandyjack's list says 15 qu's. How many total words?
boo! :-o
OOOOOOOOOOOOH You made me jump Mikey !!!
258, mary
How is 'semite' not valid?
ty Leslieann

et 7?
Bye boreetos dont work too hard !!
Hi everyone! I'm teaching a notetaking seminar today!
et7/28 - how good are you with breeds of cattle? et plus the ending of fr***** (black and white cows)
is your icon the doodle you're teaching?
Hi Deutsch
um not so good with breeds of cattle
{{Deutsch}} Greetings, my monochromatic friend!
Okay - try adding how you would describe people who come from the continent that includes china etc, but make the first letter e instead of a.
Is it just me or has babble been having the odd glitch this afternoon? Got frozen and had to reboot... managed to get back and have.... finished!!!
what a word. thanks haz.
congrats fmitch!
Congratulations FMItch - triumph despite diversity!
Congrats FMitch
Hi all Thanks LeslieAnn I'll have to remember that one Haz:)
YAY FMitch!
Hi stidmama and caitlyn. How's it going?
Great in Wales thanks (I have finished as well !!)
congrats caitlyn!
FMItch - just call me Mrs Malaprop. I meant triumph despite adversity, but diversity has a nice ring to it. My sister once heard someone asking for some Ferrero Rocher chocolates 'Give me some of those Ferocious rocks, please'
Sorry for being so rude only speaking to Deutsch, I just like saying that quote from Madagascar. Hello to everyone who came in whilst I was deep in the grid...
woohoo caitlyn. Haz that is so funny!
oh funny i had read it adversity anyway
can anyone please give me a clue for the 1st me 4/6
ruthy what the french cat says? me + 4th vowel + 5th vowel
When you go to the chinese you ask to look at the me..
ty caitlyn

Angel have you got the he7?
LOL @ mi7/36... is that some sort of silent super villain?
no, I don't have the he7 right now.

Use the h on the second row
SA 6 27 ? clues needed please

re 6 21 ? the one that is 2 below re 8 please help. need to finish .....it's been a marathon.
re6/21 - used a gun or camera again
ty haz
You're welcome, grim.
Hi Bex, Haz, Hurshy, Grim :)
Hello faeriekae and everyone else, I've been on and off the grid a bit.
Haz - it is a bear today isn't it?
Yes - lots of plurals and re 's to negotiate. Getting there slowly.
125 words still to go, but I just found the 9. Not bad considering I've still to find a single 8!!
Ishult, there's a nice me8/60, where the insect appears to have traded in its o's for another vowel.
Ishult - LOL me too...not the 125 to go but I do have the 9 only because someone clued me :)
Haz - your scaring me....I'm no where close to the M's yet.
{{{Bex}}} How are doing today Hon?
Great clue Haz, got it straight away. 1 down 9 to find!!
But it's just such a nice word! It's a type of plant.
More of a tree with thorns.
can I have some clues for the first several re words and the last 3?
The last three re words relate to clocks and watches (Re6 and 7) and the ripping of clothes.
The first re words relate to resewing of edges and staying put.
thanks. what about clocks? rechime won't take.
What do clocks tell you?
ah :)
Light bulb moment!
eveing all - clues for the ic? please
ic: a person who carries something cold
ic6 - A very cold male.
thanks - obvious when you know how
the ic**** cometh
hi kids.
hi everyone!
Hi boreetos
hi hk, wanna talk about race issues and god again?
hi haz!
ce6/21?
*wonders what he's just walked in on* :-/ waves *HELLO* to everyone!!!!! :-D
hi mikey, hi TO!!
hello - can you help\me with the the rh's please
lol boreetos - kinda wiped out yesterday, spend part of the evening talking about it further with friends - but i am glad to see no major harm done of any kind
nah, we babblers are resilient!!
ce6/21 - French for 'assuredly'
rh 6 and rh7 - start of the word which is usually associated with a certain type of question (needing no answer)
th haz - i do not speak french, but luckily my monkey does! : D
rh= one(s) who orate
Clever monkey - I was floundering as to how to clue it.
thanks alot
well hi, boreetos; nice that someone noticed my greeting! ;-)
i keep seeing Massachussets in this grid.
Time to go - have a good evening everyone.
no prob, mikey. I try to acknowledge everyone that joins after I get here, and say hi to everyone when I start.
good night and ty for the clues
bye kateq!
ja, boreetos; i try to as well, but it's hard when your nose is in the grid, i realize.....still, some that are chatting in here don't even say 'hi' back.....but, oh well; what'chya gonna do, eh? :-/ *shrugs*
actually I'm still here--LOL--saying bye to Haz
yeah its easy to get wrapped up in the grid. Sometimes when I'm really into I actually close the log to keep from getting distracted. Somedays it really is about the puzzle. Some days it is not.
oh, I missed that. Bye HAZ!!
ja, boreetos; i hear you.....when i'm concentrating on the grid, i do the same thing!
Hi Mikey and Boreetos and KatieQ :)
hey if you're taling about me --- hi mikey -- but i was in the kitchen warming up my leftover reuben sandiwch, now goo d & messy & so is keyboard :)
Later Haz :)
ooooohhh rueban.... mmmmmmm
I have three to go: na 6/21 (the 2nd one) sa 5/10 (the last one) se 6/21 any help would be greatly appreciated
Hi Helen - yuck
I don't like Rubens
hi faeri yuck ??????? yuck ????? one of the most decandent food on earth!
nah, hellenkeller; you're fine.....i don't really know and haven't really chatted with you as of yet, anyhow? :-) but, you know; it's strange.....when i first joined and was getting acquainted with everyone here, they were all so friendly.....but most often now, hardly anyone answers my greetings, even when they are present and actively chatting in here! :-/ who knows why, though? *shrugs*
sorry kateq, I have none of those three.
I'm a boring eater. I like bland foods.
No seasoning...no sauces....I'm boring
you must try one from a good jewish deli - they will use the best stuff - cultural pride & all --- i hate them when the corned beef is tough & tringly & flavor-lacking --alot of placed really can screw them up --- but not mine :))))
faeriekae :-) sorry.....lol; just saw your greeting in here now.....wow; how *are* you.....long time no talk to? :-P
mikey, it happens, there's hot and cold days. We can't all chat wit everyone everyday. I know if its been a couple of days since I've seen somene on here, I'll be more inclined to talk to them.
Mikey you have to get with the program here. I just said Hello to you :(
or, hmmmmm, mikey, maybe you just forgot to take your anti-paranoia pills today - lol
{{{Mikey}}}
yeah hk, I agree. (i assume that was supposed to say stringy?) mmmm, a good rueban though, deeeelish.
Mikey go take your meds. LOL
no, of course not, boreetos; but it's nice to return a greeting.....i always *try* to, if i'm actively in here, and see them, that is
huh, faeriekae? :-/
tringly - nope, i believe that's what i meant - what, you never heard of that? i'm sure it's a frequent babble words, in fact i'm sure i learned it here first, lol
its true, but I'm sure if someone gets missed, like Haz leaving just now, its flashed in the log so quickly, I missed it, that it's certainly not intentional or anything.
excuse me, helenkeller? hmm; since when does being friendly and sociable, and wondering why those i've been chatting with in here are suddenly very quiet over the last few days make one 'paranoid'? :-/
Mikey I'm just joking with you Honey....You know that I love you just the way you are :) You don't need any meds. Me on the other hand????
Please, need a clue for the re6/27 right after the re8/60?
aw; no, faeriekae.....don't be silly!!! of course you don't, either! :-)
I'm going to need Meds to finish this grid and then I'll need Meds after its finished LOL
oh right hk... TRINGY!. I thought you said trinGY, with the accent on the last syllable, which as we all know is NOT a word.. tringy on the other hand, yes babble yes, most definaltely. :)
well mikey - in my, ok, limited experience, i have found the people to some of the chattiest on the internet, lol - maybe you just had a few off days -for example, yesterday was actually one of my most favorite chatting days on here -politics, religion, all that cool taboo stuff ya ain't supposed to mention - it was great -yeah mikey, i think it's probably more a question of timing more than anything else
kateq, did you get responses for the 3 you asked about? I was looking for the same ones: na 6/21 (the 2nd one) sa 5/10 (the last one) se 6/21
Hi to all out there - I need clues please for mi 6/24 (last one) and qu 7/44 (second one). Ta
boreetos ---- ROFL --- you crack me up!!!!!
hmm, helenkeller; ja, might very well be....who knows? :-P
hi, MAH; don't think i've 'met' you yet? :-)
hi chatwelvetwelve! hi MAH!
Hi Mah and ch12 :)
Hi boreetos and all -- I've had my nose buried in the grid today, not really following the log -- but hi all!
Hi Rold Gold.
mikey: personally, i am quite into the grid... and when the grid is difficult or long, i try to keep chat at a minimum as a courtesy to those who are desparate for clues. i've been one of those looking frantically for clues with only a few minutes left
ch1212--not yet--still hoping the qu7/44 (second one) one who puts a stop to
39 to go and now i am willing to see the log. this grid is giving me a headache.
hey mah - i just started & don't have those yet, but glad to get a glimpse of the terrors that await
mi6/24 female parent with the first vowel changed
se6/21 those little seeds on buns
hi hurshy! im out kids. work to get done* see you this afternoon. Done -n. dun. Not to be confused in any way, shape, or form with the word "finished".
Hi helenkeller - I always start at the bottom because I don't have to keep scrolling up and down. Clever eh?
hi, ch1212; ja, Temple Owl.....i already said i know that can happen when one is focussed on the grid.....and ok, good point....guess i really shouldn't be chatting, then! :-/ ok, well; good luck finishing, everyone!!!
bye boreetos !!!! :))))
oh, bye boreeeeeeeetos :(
thanks, kateq and mary :) Bye boreetos - LOL :D
Mary TY so much! just two to go--driving me mad!
i think i hsould just hide the log in order to concentrate. bye, everybody! will stop back to give clues after i finish!
mah - i don't use any lists until i am pretty sure i'm done finding words - but maybe an early cave is in order today
Does anyone have a clue for the re6/27 pretty please?
bye mikey, bye to
Thanks kayteq.
you can make it helen - i'm down to 39! :)
i have one left to find the second na 6/21 - help please
kateq, the sa 5/10 = sa + break a commandment
Bye Borteeos
Mary I don't believe there is an re 6/27 I have all the R's and no re 6/27
there is no re6/27 - it was a glitch in the stats.
omg - i started a new med today & it is really interfereing with my typing - typos galore!!! taking up so much time!
never mind got it! have finished - clues anyone?
sandr, how about that last one you just found? :)
kate's waiting for 2nd na 6/21
I'm working from Brandyjack's list. How many total R's are there?
33
k - its three letter word for grandma + third vowel + two letter word
ty, hurshy, thought I was losing my mind.
can't think of a good enough clue sorry
how about - if your granny were to say something often it would be a na****!?
na6/21 The condition of being stunted or dwarfed
kate - it's as if being a grandma were a dogma
im nipping to solve the sudoku - just to type it in - if you want any more clues
got it! kate, the na 6/21 is three letter word for grandma + the 3 letter ending for addictions of any kind.
woohoo! 35 to go and bottom row all grey!
Snadr, Mary, Hurshy, Ch1212 THANKS! I thought I had typed every possible combo. May I offer any clues?
since you are kate Q, perhaps you can guess for me which Q i am missing :)
hurshy, another ST word -- I thought the ma 5/18 was a fictional group. :)
ch1212 - i think ST borrowed it from history - i think they were actual insurrectionists - did you look it up? i'm gonna.
last shout for clues - i am about to split for the evening
Could it be that dish that real men don't eat? (qu 6/33)
no time, hurshy. Sandr, thank you and congrats on finishing!
no kate - i think it is most likely not a normal word ch1212 - that word is not it! it is spelled with an s at the end. but i was right about it being historical - french resistance in WWII
the qu 5/16 -- a bitter thin beer drunk by Russians?
Hey all! I'm back from playing in the backyard on this most glorious day. Hurshy! Are we playing my favorite game...?
night all - thanks for your help and happy babbling
rats, that's the weird one i have.
hi jera - not fully - so far just GWQHIM
one more try-- the qu 7/ 40 -- a bitter, crystalline substance (which builds on the bitter beer)?
veeerrrry interesting, hurshy -- I'll look it up later myself. clue for the qu 7/44 that follows the qu 8/60?
ding ding ding, 5 points kate!
Oh wow, that's a full game in itself today! Any hints? How many do you have so far?
how about (for qu 7/40) beginning of '4' + plural + break a commandment
Hurrah! Have a lovely evening everyone! And thanks for all the clues.
i was only missing one, jera, now i've got them.
yeah, kateq!!! Congrats!
i didn't want to inflict a full fledged game of GWHIM on everyone when i have 32 to go
Oh well. *sits down to wait for game to continue*
jera - if you're that excited... here's an easy one...but you have to get it on the first or second guess to get any points... one of the u's from the upper right
can someone help with the th 7/36 please?
5 points to cliffopa!
t + hi6
that's two fish for me so far.
one fish two fish red fish blue fish
Do you have the ur6/27?
no, i only have the 6/21! 5 points!
th7/36 goes with hi6/24
Yay, I picked the weirder one!
thanks for the th clue. got it :)
got it, jera, now that corner looks much better.
let's see, i'm missing 3 A's
Do you have an8/45?
yes - an easy one for a mathnet fan like myself
may i give any clues before i go?
Phooey. How about the very first one, am5/14?
*hurshy grants temple permission to give clues*
have that also - i think i've seen it in past grids.
Hmmm, an5/12?
i have one of those
TO, clue please for that qu 7/44 that follows the qu 8/60? Thanks!
lol ch1212 - plural fish for you
How about as6/21?
am5: A liturgical vestment consisting of an oblong piece of white linen worn around the neck and shoulders and partly under the alb.
i have 2 of those
*snaps fingers*
ch1212, work with the qu5/18 meaning to crush. Various usual doers & plurals
TO, I wasn't asking for a clue I'm playing WIHM. I finished before I went out to play.
hurshy, I'm not joking -- I was asking Temple Owl for a clue -- seriously... I'm stuck on that one.
pluralof the qu5/18 above
AH, the light dawns... NOW I understand your joke, hurshy. Got it! Thanks jera
i know you weren't joking, ch1212, i was laughing AT you, not WITH you :) and i gave you a clue - plural fish for you!!!
ch - hope that helped you? chat log is malfunctioning - will be going soon ...
hurshy do you have an5/10?
*hurshy is starting to think her missing a's are fishes too*
i have 2 an 5/10
THanks TO - got it, with your help and Hurshy's and jera. I'm just thick as mud today
let's all take a mudbath in ch1212!
How many a4's do you have?
see - i knew it was too soon to play. and thus the game degenerates. however, i have 3.
Would someone tell me how many words today? Pleeeeease.
258
Do you have am4/5?
TY Hurshy :)
now i do! 5 points! (but i thought i tried that before...grrr)
Hmmm, the others don't seem weird enough for you not to have... how about the au4?
non-uncle
Hpw about the an4/4?
multiple skywalker sr.'s
Also a bird, I just discovered. I thought it was an alt spelling of the seed.
There are 3 an4/4's btw
*tries to insert fact into memory*
oh yes i also have poker one
I love looking up the definition of the freakier words. Always dissappointed when it's just a foreign coin...
aha - i see the prob - i put in against but it did not go!!
Do you have the against something prefix?
i just want to get 100 words - i will never get them all
not with that attitude you won't! buck up! if the world was going to end if you didn't find 'em, you'd find 'em.
im finally done.
no pressure ..
hurshy - babble exhorter extraordinaire
huh...good thing the world isn't going to end then ;-)
come on, now, people, let's not have negative attitudes!
life is 2 short to worry about all of them for me - i am at 95 for 1st try
Huzzah for oggy!
negative, i was being positive - the world isn't going to end - what could be more positive than that?
let me tell you a story about a young babbler named hurshy. she started to babble one day and she thought, life is too short to find them all. then she got addicted to the game and now her ranking is PERMANENTLY SCARRED by the fact that she did some of those first puzzles without finishing. a sad tale, is it not?
I can't wait til Dr_God finishes the fireworks function! *clapping her hands & jumping up & down in excitement*
Comin' very soon. ;)
*fondly recalls when she first started Babbling & was thrilled to get 100 POINTS*
hows everyone doing then.
i suppose if its the rankings you care about, but then dr_g did make that who's hot list - hiya dr_g!
28 to go, oggy, no list!
*looks scared that Dr_God was listening* Good thing I wasn't taking your Name in vain, Dr_God! :D
I'm not a big smoter, Jera, so have no fear.
hmmm, were you just grammatically incorrect to avoid saying a grid word, doc?
Or smiter I should say
Good to know! ;> (except for trolls, right?)
I do like to smite trolls, yes.
doc said a woooord doc said a wooord (after i warned him and everything!)
another word!!!!!!
Can you give us an update on whats coming Dr_G and time scale?
Sorry 'bout that. ;)
*singsong* Dr_God said a wooooord! Dr_God said a woooord!
he said 2 words.
word away, hadn't had it
hi all how are we doing today?
It's like Pee-wee's Playhouse. :)
It's my fault, I brought up trolls...
hey wurdy!
1 word left ... okay, clue please for the ma 6/30 that follows the ST group (less the plural) Please and thank-you!
I am at 65 ho hum....any fun discussions going on
no jera, it started cause you were scared of him
Greetings, wurdygurl!
hi wurdy, just finished.
so jealous oggy
Oh, and welcome Dr_God! We're honored
Yes, a sudden appearance from on high can be most disconcerting... *scans clouds anxiously*
not like yesterday wurdy
i don't think my meds are current for another day of that kind of discussion...I mean anything fun
oh, Dr. God is here!
we're all basking in the presence wurdy
That must explain the exceptionally long puzzle today.
I'm sure it will be a ginormous grid tomorrow since I have to go out of town... firming up details for the Victorian Tea Party I'm hostessing for Mother's Day for the Girl Scouts. Such fun!
my dog is shaking like a leaf. she is such a fridy cat. It is only raining. No thunder even
where are you wurdy - looks about to rain here
benda, this is a respectable size, we have had much larger ones, though...
So ... from the qu*** I'm guessing no one has the ma 6/30 that follows the French resistence group? Or if you do, could I please have a clue?
evening all :)
ch1212 - a 6/30 right after the STish word?? are you sure??? i'm trying but it doesn't seem....
hi sherb!
I know, hurshy, I swear I've tried every combo using that 2ltr tile... but I finally got the list out and that's what it says
Do you have the french face disguise?
I've been struggling over that one, too. i don't see how it's possible.
ma6/30 are similar just change the 3rd letter
seriously. before what you do to potatoes.... i don't see how it can be done other than what i have tried.
hi ch1212 !! :)
According to Brandyjack, there are three ma6/30's.
Do you have the ma6/30 that rhymes with where you keep money? It's frenchy
i have 2 ma 6/30, the ones oggy is mentioning - are you saying that's all of them, oggy
thats me all done bye all
I have the two that differ in their third letter.
thanks for the help with the SM's, Dr G :)
see u tomoz all hope theres not alot of words
I only have 2 ma6/30's
makes me glad i'm not using the list. :)
theres only 2 ma6/30 spelt nearly the same except the 3rd letter.
Bye, hannah lou & congrats!
You're all done, Jera, so there are definitely only two?
virtue is its own reward...
Okay, thanks.
And bothe have frenchy spellings
okay, I've got both the ma 6/30s that differ by the third letter. Maybe BJ's list has another glitch, like the re 6/27. Let me go look at licketys - brb
bye jera hurshy fmitch and evanonut
yes, I'm sure they can get bigger...but still...a large/long puzzle. long or large? It seems odd to say a large puzzle, since the grid is always 5X5...but long doesn't seem qu*** right either...
So is smugness .. ;)
Yes, Vicuna, both oggy & I are done (at least)
I might quibble with your usage of the word "virtue" hurshy... but I'm too busy failing to find words.
bye h.l. see u 2morrow.
torgone - do you like the smugness, dislike it, or feel indifferent?
I used lickety's list & had no problems
bye hanna
can anyone please tell me why hitman and hitmen do not count???
hi torgone... very spring-like icon... :)
i have no idea, hurshy. I think they should count!
Ahhhhhh.... BJ's has that extra ma 6/30. Ignore it. (big sigh of relief)
I keed! But I like confidence and self-assuredness, when it's justified ..
I could tell you, but then I'd have to employ one...
and menthe! we need it to go with cr5!
and *i* like to take surveys. :)
Q's screw up the lists frequently
yes, Q is mischievous (ch1212, oui?)
Done! Anyone need/desire a clue before I head off to continue wedding details? (daughter getting married; she has graciously allowed me to have fun with the details :)
Maybe they are 2 words, hurshy? That's all I can figure
LOL hurshy :D
Such fun, ch1212! When's the big day?
congrats, ch!
Yay ch1212!
hurshy, my son loves your icon... he is heavily into rainbows these days...
ok, why aren't people asking for clues? if people ask for clues maybe they will be ones i don't have.
ch whens the wedding.
June 10th. She is 30 years old, her first (and I hope only) marriage. Amazing woman, and I've said for years that God did a wonderful job raising her :)
ah - this one is at victoria falls :)
Awwww. That's the day before my husband's birthday!
my sons getting married on june 10th as well.
well, i'd like to know why crema isn't accepted...as this is the term used to describe the frothy cream that develops when good espresso has been brewed correctly.
omg, oggy, his name isn't Paul is it?
is he marrying ch1212's daughter? lol
Wow, how cool, oggy! My 14th anniversary is coming up the 23rd (May)
ch1212....my daughter getting married next week in Florida...her first too (and last I hope)...I am well wound up already !!!
for the second time and hes only 34yrs old.
And by another odd coincidence, my beloved was ordained on a June 10th.
Mysterious are the ways of the Enable dictionary... no one can fathom them...
no its simon.
(that was in response to benda)
Congrts, Karys. I've been very very blessed. My daughter and her fiance want to pay for everything, but they have (again) graciously allowed us to pitch in. It will be a big wedding, outdoors, and glorious!
ok, from fourth row i still need one A and an M and a T
hurshy do you have the mi 5/14 that duplicates?
scratch that, got the t
that sounds nice ch... I always said if I do it again it would be in the garden !....as Clare's will be really...just not my garden !!
Do you have as5/10?

oh dear, we always have this prob in GWHIM - lol
I am finished Mary... playing WIHM with hurshy
hello dear all. I see t'is the season for WHIMSY and weddings. I do adore a wedding. I just woke up! How ever will I finish?
Oops, GWHIM, I mean
jera - points always go to anyone who points out a missing word - someday it may be you asking for a clue and getting points, so don't pout :)
Greetings, my queen!
*feels better* Okay.
speaking of WIHM... there was a marble in my Tom's sock drawer yesterday! LOL
Edward Gorey, mab?
i now have 90% of the words!
Oh Jera, such a lovely greeting from you always. You are the true queen.
ok, WHY do people persist in thinking i am losing my marbles???? :(
okay, I'm off to tie more little wedding favor cards to rose candles with ribbon -- only 120 more to go :) See you all tomorrow!
You have au6/21, certainly?
affectionate non-uncle
bye, ch1212!
*hurshy -- i'm the only one.... and we all know how dependable my opinion is!* LOL
You have your marbles, hurshy, and then some. No worries.
bye ch.
*wracks her brain for more a words from that particular a*
bye ch! thanks again. That's my new word for the day!
it usually seems reasonable, stidmama :)
bye ch1212... have fun :)
jera - it's the only a
*LOL @ herself*
Do you have an6/21?
5 points! now clue, unless it isn't weird.

You're welcome.
two re's from top (unless there are more than 2 rh's)
one h from each h box
an8/45?
Are you asking for a clue, Vi?
oh vi, that was the last of the a's... or do you want a clue? the villain.
Another word for villain
What's left hurshy? I want the final word bonus!
Yes, I needed a clue, thanks.
It's a compound word, Vi...

Oh, okay.

Wait, wait, please tell me about the ma8/45!
Yee-haw! ma7/36?
vi - starts like your state, ends like metric yard
i have 2 of those, jera - are there any more?
ma5/12 + cross + one who does ending
Nope, that's all, hurshy
Thanks!
brb... time for my meds...
which c do u need ci, ch, or ce.
i dunno oggy - that's the whole fun :) - you might want to read my bio
actually i do know that if there are ce's i need them cause i haven't got any!
Did you find the ci6/24?
I think Hurshy's missing a ch that means a flint-like rock...
yes, thanks vi, and i just found a ce6/21
Okay, so what is it? :)
no mo hos! ;-)
ch 5/14 stidmama? have that.
oh well, was worth a try -- I'd get more points just asking for the ones I need!
like a brand of mints but with an extra vowel stuck in there
stid - are there any ho's not in combos with other words?
have u got ch6/27
i have 2, oggy, any more?

you have all four bell words?
yes four bell words

hi all, what's the potato c word oggy was speaking of?
ooh, clue me up oggy! 5 points!
kristin - think that was a potato M word :)
mi7/36 clue please?
oh-- the time is getting late! I need to change out of gardening clothes and into something presentable for town. :-( I have 56 words to go, will be back later.
No, I don't need the ce6, I need the ci6.

Mary originally requested, and hurshy and I need it, too.
Think of silent clown, then opp of brother
Or, as I call it, silent villain, LOL
Thanks, Jera!
woohoo, 19 to go! we're on a roll now folks!
What does 5 points mean?
it means you have earned five points in Guess What Hurshy Is Missing!
Hi Haz, hi fariekae
We are playing a game within a game... Guess What Hurshy Is Missing... 5 points awarded when one guess correctly
Did faeriekae come in whilst I was gone taking drugs?
ok so hurshy needs: 5 M from middle, 5 S, 3 C, 2 E, 2 R from top, and 1 H from each H box scatty prob needs to refresh
hurshy what letters are u left with.
WoW-You guys are psychic....or psycho....I'm here now. Hello Everyone :)
the two E are from the first E
he5/16.
Jera - Now what have I told you about doing drugs? LOL
i have one of those oggy - an adjective
Hi Scatty :)
HI
If only I could get some really good ones... this screaming in pain with every step is for the birds.
and somewhere in all that madness i am missing one 7 and one 8
he7/32
ohhhh poor jera (((jera)))
hurshy do you have hi8/50?
but i do have he 7/32
yes jera
ho 8/50?
Speaking of doing drugs I had some kids in my backyard at 7:30'ish this morning smoking pot. I called the cops and the school. The school is at the end of my street. The police drove by and the 3 boys took off and the cops stoped and talked to them but the girls really didn't want to leave they had a joint to finish.
(pays to be brought up on hymns)
if you have he 7/32, could you give me a hint?
5 points jera! and 5 bonus for my last 8 letter word!
he7/32?
Yay! That's 25 for me today!
ho8/50 cowboy, guy on a stallion, guy who's interested in stallions
is ho8 a compound?
think sack material.
{{{Jera}}} I wish I could make your pain go away Hon. But I know it is something you've been living with and I just ache for you. {{hugs}}
ah, found it, nvm
what do u mean by compound.
That's okay faerie... I thank the gods when I hurt because many people with my condition have no feeling in their legs or no legs! No feeling is very scary as you can hurt yourself very badly & not realize it...
he 7/32... a gay woman, but change two consonants.
i meant a compound word... a word made of two other words - which it was!
very creative, hurshy!
That's one way to give a clue, hurshy, LOL... I would have said revolutionary war soldier for hire
That is true Jera. I know it 'could' be much worse but I still wish you didn't have the pain :(
cuteness alert! it will be a little hard to make out, but i just took this pic of my new kitten curled up behind my napping hubby's neck!
haha, thanks hurshy!
jera - i couldn't remember which soldiers they were or i would have :)
have u got sa6/27

There are sh6/21's
theres 3 sh6/21
yes jera, there are, says hurshy solemnly
I've just had to refresh half a dozen times for it to start working
aha, 5 points oggy!
sm6/21 as well.
Jera these kids are so bold to come and sit down in my yard to have a smoke can you believe that. After I ran them off the walked across the street and finished the joint over there. I couldn't believe it.
i have sm 6/21 - if i hadn't, doc would have given it to me!
I wouldn't have accosted them, just called the cops. It's the passive-aggressive in me...
oggy the two sh 6/21 i have are plural - might need a clue for the other
Yes, Dr_God was most helpful today!
Jera - they are kids couldn't be more than 15yrs old. I was floored.
jera you bad today
do u have en7/32 or et7/28
brb
All 3 are plurals, hurshy
sh are all plurals.
yes oggy, have both. ok if all 3 are plurals, then 5 points to you jera bc that means i am missing a five as well
oh, no i wasn't, i just needed a plural fish!
faeriekae, my son is 16 and he says alot of kids in his year smoke the stuff
Yay! (I didn't understand that, but yay!)
hurshy bank error in your favor, jera :)

have u got em6/21
What's still up for grabs, hurshy?

luwanda - i'm afraid you have stumbled into a bit of an alternate universe here :)
i do have one of those oggy, yes
nothing new
hurshy, mi6/24?
i have two of those, jera, more?
em4/5 and em4/6
hi kids.
Nope, just the one. mi5/14?
i have one of each of those as well, oggy ( i must be very fishy today)
I mean mi5/16!!

Rats, i thought that was a really weird one..
theres 3 mi5/14.
it IS, jera, but i do have some of the weird ones. with only 13 to go, i'm bound to!
so i am 95% done!
he4/6?
im learning.
i have 3 he 4/6
You need another!
ok then!
5 points jera!
ch4/6
Well, it was so beautiful out I took a Harley break. Now I have to pay, 70 words to go before NCIS comes on. If I was 50 years younger I would like to look just like Abby.
have one of those, oggy
you mentioned ce's earlier, oggy, i only have one of those, are there more?
ce6/21, ce4/5, ce5/12
Do you have ce5/12?
Is the UR6/27 related to the UR6/21? I have the 6/21 and am missing the 1st UR word.
oops, got another, now i have ce 4/5 and ce 6/21
ur 6/27 add anagram of mickey and mighty
Ues, the ur6/21 can get ur6/27
would have thought of that in a minute, but 5 points each to jera and oggy anyway!
So you need ce5/12, hurshy?
ma4/6
not anymore jera :)
Never mind, saw where oggy listed all 3
i have 2 ma 4/6
ma 4/6 what you do to potatoes
ARB - they aren't asking, you've stumbled into GWHIM in full swing
Did I guess he5/16 already, hurshy?
h's are done now jera
update: 5 middle M, 2 top R, 1 C, 1 S from each box
re6/21x3
hurshy, sa6/27?
Aha -- We just had a half hour of fireworks from the top of City Hall -- in honor of Israel's Independence day.
have all those, oggy and jera
how fishy must i be!
ARB - Where in Israel do you live?
hurshy, sa5/10?
i have 2 jera
re5/14+re6/24
Minski - center of Tel Aviv -- 200 yards from the City Hall. The dust of the fireworks falls on to our roof garden.
the sewing ones, oggy? have those...
hurshy, 2 x sa7/32
if there are any sq, i don't have them
aha, five points jera! i have the strolling one, clue me for the second?
re5/12x2
Oh wow, that's a tough one to clue for...
Jera: hope your pain is abating. I've been monkeying with the ur's and I'm darned if I can find what will produce the ur6 I have. Can you shed more light?
I gotta get back to work kids, I'll see you all tomorrow.
there arent any.
oggy, that's weird, i have 3 re 5/12
The ur6/27 is descriptive... "like" suffix
How about this : first vowel is French for without less the last letter and the second vowel is what you use a clock for without the last vowel (SA 7)
Later, boreetos!
theres 4
Very good, ARB!
Jera, that's the one I have. I can't find the following ur6.21 and ur4/5
ok i am confused i can only make a 6 using those directions (and assuming that sometimes vowel means part)
5 points oggy!
Jera -- you figured it out, but will Hurshy?
Okay, same 1st 3 letters, but ending with short for voice amplifier, what singers use on stage
Plus the plural letter at the end (SORRY)
aha, you have to add an s! ok i got it! now all the re 5/12's i have are in a row, so can you clue me the fourth?
Sorry, hetty I was mixing you up with hurshy!
re4/5x2
Just dropped in the try to fill in some of my blanks, like an 8/45, ci 6/24 and ce 5/12. Can you help me please?
5 points oggy!
ur6/21 = passageway for pee ur4/5 = bearlike name
an 8/45 -- compound word for the villain of the piece
How lovely to be mixed with Hurshy! Only to guess what THIS 'H' is missing would be a matter of over 100 words I'm afraid. Think I'll have to give this one up.
ci 6/24 is a misspelled musical instrument
ma5/18.
ACK! why can't i find another re 4/5
have an ma 5/18
i can't remember what hurshy words are left... think I'll just help people a bit with clues
take your last but 1 re6/21 and minus the s.
got the musical instrument, cant figure out the villain
oh wait, i do have 2 re 4/5's.
Bear with me, I got the bear one. THe passageway for pee is (in my book ur*****), much too long
oggy, you are on to something - i must be missing a 5/6 combo!
compound word -- first part means against; second part is the opposite of villain
got the villain, thanks.
Help with ma5,18 pleeze
No H in it, hetty, if that helps
re 4/5 -- a Hebrew letter
ma5/18 = resistance group in Start Trek Deep Space 9
somewhere between photographed again and clock again...
Hurshy if you have 2 re 4/5's you have them both
take the last re4/4 + add the letter that looks like 2 tunnels for the 5 + s for 6.
oggy - clue on whatever this combo is???
Yes, Jera, that not only helped, it finished off the act of peeing. Now I'll join the queue at the grid again, heartened
lol, thanks oggy, we crossed in the et5! :)
alrighty then, 5 M's, 1 C, 1 S
sorry, I have not watched Star Trek
what is with these m's!?!
rumple, you SHOULD be VERY sorry then!
ma + what in spanish but dotted vowel at end
hurshy, ce6/21?
I have seen all the Star Wars
i think we covered the ce's, jera - there are 3 right?
Hurshy, 4 of the m words use the double letter cube
ma7/44
Oh yes, sorry... was going for weird...
i have 5 that do, ARB :)
i'm done with 7's and above.
hurshy, ch6/27?
i have 2 of those jera
Sorry recounted -- there are 6
me6/21x4

You need another, hurshy
5 points jera! 5 points oggy!

5 points oggy! (hurshy bank has made 3 errors today but oh well!)
I have 5 me6/21's
i said m36/21x4 and mi5/14x3
You're smokin' hushy - a listless wonder.
then 5 points jera, and gimme a clue for the weirdest (but i have the one that is kinda like he7)
hurshy's not listless -- she's full of energy! (ha ha ha)
sorry jera there are 5 me6/21
clue clue clue! :) and what the heck is this se 5/10
Listless and lively!
Gosh, how to pick the weirdest?
well, i know the meaning of 3 of the 4 i have...
That is a real challenge in babble...
sorry sa5/10 i mean im tired now.
what is the 1st ma 6/30?
hurshy how many m,s left.
Cliff that is the most adorable pic I've ever seen :)
4 m's left
one of which is me 6/21
Scatty, we seem to be compatible in several ways/ Like you I have too much attention from my friend Arthur Itis today (or does your pain have a different source?) and I seem to progress through the puzzles in a similar way at a similar rate. Now I'm leaving to attend to roasting veggies for supper and I doubt I'll be back. Best of luck if you stick with it, and LOL
oggy - you don't have to keep playing if you are tired! you did read rule #1 of GWHIM, right?
faerie - i've taken about 100 pics of the new kitten since i got him on thursday. i can't stop....he's just sooooo adorable!
Is that you hubby?
Sorry... had to investigate a bloodcurdling shriek from the bathtub...
Aw, cliff, that's so sweet. I so so much want a kitten. My elder cats, however, would die of indignation.
yes. when i came home from work they were napping together :) but now, if you refresh, you'll see a close up of Brady.
so, jera, you were about to clue me a weird but non-he7-like me6/21? :)
LOL Jera - there are bad things that can happen in the tub.
Especially when you are 4 & love to splash, faerie
I suppose you have the rock from the sky, hurshy?
yes, and the plural of metric yards and the one that means an area you are good at
LOL - 4 is such a cute age. And screaming is something that 4yr olds do really well :)
hurshy, yes i did read your rules. im off now anyway work in the morning. see u all 2morrow.
mab, i have a 15 yr old male and a 3 yr old female cat. and a chow chow. i have to keep the kitten in a 'safe' room until he gets big enough to cope with the others. my female hates the new kitten. the older guy is interested in a positive way but is very jealous. the dog is like a child and is underfoot every minute.
There are 2 kind of like he7, but in different ways, you have them?
I need the me6,21 after the "parking me*** and the me6,21 after the me** labs
Bye, oggy, you are a great GWIHM player!
no just one - i didn't expect another!
byebye oggy, and *announcer voice* thanks for playing Guess What Hurshy Is Missing!!!
Cliff-now I want a kitty...how sweet. You've done a wonderful job nursing it back to good health.
there is one with the doubble consonant & one ending like he7 but w/o double consonant
YAY! 3 M's and 1 S left
have you got the me that goes between the 2 me7,s
just found it, oggy, thanks :)

The kids are fixing dinner, hurshy, you're helping me hide, LOL
sa 5/10 x 2
i can't make it work jera - i have alike and blue satin ____ , what is the 3rd?
Oh no, I'm sorry... revoke my points, there are only 2... I think I wandered down to the se's :(((
OMG - shit is a word
5 points revoked :(
i'm still looking for help on the 1st ma 6/30. can anyone assist?
cliffopa - rhymes with institution where you keep or borrow money
ma6/30 = Rhymes with place to keep money, frenchy spelling
faerie- wouldn't it be funny if it said <beep> in the list instead of the word after you put it in?
You have all your 6 letter words, right, hurshy?
thank you thank you!
oh i'll never get it, never get it, never get it!!!
no jera i need one more 6, one more 4, 2 more 5
Hurshy - ROFL yes it would be
Somehow that doesn't seem right, for a word to be valid in the list but censored in the chat... I mean, pick one, you know?
EXACTLY Jera
CLIFFYYYYYYYY!!!!!!`
You have both ma6/30's right?
NUTTTTTTTYYYYYYYY!!!!
yup
i am going to end up with 9 fish, aren't i?

my baby is great. healing up nicely. i am in love love love.

No mh's

ma6/21, I feel silly asking...
That would definitely qualify as weird, hurshy, only one like that is the tm
fish for me then, and 5 points for you!
tries to think of faeries reference...hopes she means the super one!
*jaw drops*
yup I do Evan <grin>
how sweet faerie! bit fond of you after yesterday meself
or was it the day before?
what IS it, jera - i can't see it even now!
me 5/12 x 4
5 more points, jera!
It's the pl of ma5/12
You never cease to amaze me Evan....good job :)
pluralise ma5/12 before it
first se8 please :)
then i must be missing a 5/12 also because i only have one and it isn't pluralizable
so 5 MORE points, jera! i've got all the m's now.
*hoping me an faerie are on the same page and that she really is complimenting me* - thanks!
se8?
jera jera - last word! s4. if you guess it before i monkey it, you get the big points
Yay for hurshy... just that s left now?
oop - monkeyed it.
Evan - I know that we are on the same page and I would jump right in here and high five you if I could :)
sa4/4 x 2
jera - i will give you 1000 points anyway for being such a trooper. and if anyone sees oggy before i do, same to him.
Hubby just came home & distracted me, LOL
Hurray and yippee for hurshy!!!!!!!!!!!!!
whew - that was one of the longest games of GWHIM ever - i don't usually start with so many left to find, but you were so eager to begin, jera :)
CONGRATULATIONS HURSHY!!!!
;-) to faerie - yes, i think we are two opinionated women who are fortunate enough to share that opinion.
thank you faerie! and i think i only had 6 or 7 fish - out of 258 words, that isn't really so bad.
HI all, may I please have a clue for the u9
Evan - you did an excellent job.
careful now faerie, you know, it might start going to my head.
1st se8 pleasssse.
se8 - it's all in the meaning un9 - more worried (but looks like it would mean louder)
faerie: has to to with the meaning of words.
LOL Evan that would never happen.
faeriekae, have you finished
hey freaks. how many words today? danke schon

peri, i thought i had started late
Evening, All. Might i get a clue for the ur 6/21 please? The clue i found in the log, 'a passageway for pee' ,makes no sense, or at least leads me not to a word in today's grid.
i'm just starting on the mi's
Done..Dee...Done-dun!
but that is just what it is, a part of your body through which the pee must pass to come out
congrats, gramma!!!
Congrats Gramma!!!!!!

Faeriekae!!! we got 1 1/4 inch of rain so far today. What did you do??? Hello anyway.
inge, can we have some of your rain, on the local new they said that if it doesn't rain soon, they will be turning off the water for so many hours during the day
ah, ok. Thx, Mab. Apparently i shoulda paid attention in Anatomy those years ago. I hated that subject. It's why i went into DNA and plant tissue culture at the time.
only 157 left to find :) not sure how long I can sit here though.
in 1976, the drought was so bad that they put taps in the streets and you had to fill up from them if you wanted any water

Hi, I am back again for a little while
i didn't know gwenski! where is your USAFer at?
Currently in Iraq. He volunteered for a 4-month tour. He should be back to Montana by the end of this month. Stationed in Great Falls.

Hi scatty, 148 to go for me
i hope he stays safe, gwenski.
So far, he is, thanks. He's in the southern part of the country, where a lot less of the violence happens.

Yes, indeed. *grins broadly*
inge, do you need more clues?
my nephew (army) was in mosul for over a year. i was so happy when he came home (he's like another son) and now he is out of the army and living back in NH. they are brave, brave souls.
Do you have any idea where your son will be stationed after training?
Oh no. Only 6 left to go, but all re's!!
no. he won't know until he is done with officer training. he went in as an engineer (has his master's in mechanical engineering) and will be doing research and development. i think there are a limited number of places, all in the usa, where they do this.

Hi. Does anyone have the to 6, 18 to 5, 10 the last one Thanks.
many thanks, gwenski. I've been stuck on the last 5 for too long.
to6/18 is plural of to5/10 above. Rhymes with ho6/21
Change the last vowel of the other to5 to get the last one.
Both to are related the to 6 is plural for the to 5 before it. The last to 5, just change the final letter.
Well, I think I'll join most of America and see else what the Idols are singing tonight.
Hello all, anyone have a clue for se8 and se6?
Marc, se6 - seed often found on a bagel
se6 is a seed. se8 is to walk slow & leisurely

se 8 having to do with words/language
Oops. I gave you the clue for sa7, not se8. Sorry. se8 is a matter of words, or how you say them, or what they mean, or something like that.
se8 relates to the meaning of language and the study of language

There's an error in the list. There isn't a re6/27.
Well, that explains part of my brain freeze
na6 means dwarfism. (ends that way, too)
Ty once again, gwenski. ( If today's total is 258/4438....I'm finished)

abe - Hello. The an6 you seek is normally 7 letters long and has an 'a' as it's 3rd letter. Weak and tired due lack of iron is its meaning...
I'm at a loss...I don't konw the kid's drink that was mentioned... on the bright side, the donkey clues were great, thanks guys!
inge, I could use the te 6/21 and the sa 7/32s (both of them continue to elude me) -- thanks!
I've only got 8 words left, but I'm stumped
Scatty - I'd love to have a go at that quiz and so would Paul. Can you give me a link or send it to me?
ahhh, other an 6/24 = a iron poor blood condition - adj
First re 6 and 7 are the act of reading out loud before class, and the person doing it,
oh jacula, thanks. tearing my hair out... benda- qu 7/ 44 qu + an 5/12
Am I the only one finished here? If so, give me a minute to work out who needs what.
and thanks helenkeller too!
jeffer qu7 - think equ(fish) but add letter after m(4thletter)
yvw abe
Thanks abe! great clue
someone please help me before I shoot myself. Down to ma8,45 and I am done. May have a stiff drink myself
Angel - 1st re6 & following 7 - If you read out a poem in public you re + ci4/5 it. The re7 is the person doing the re6ing.
Jacula, I am also clueing. My grid takes so long to move up and down. But I am trying
jacula, will have a look to see if i still have it, if not will e-mail my friend and see if she can send it back through
ma 6/45 is the immediate previous ma 5 + a drink the English like -a + r
ma8 - ma4 (weight) + end of me5 (like a yard)
ma 8: ma 5/12 + crossed letter second voewel and another crossed letter.
Thanks,Scatty. If it's not a link then we can exchange e-mail addresses through the BabAnon message section.
hurshy -- much better clue than mine... I continue to learn from the master!
RSS - ma8 - ma+double snake+2nd vowel+4th vowel+hook
Does anyone still need clues? If so, please ask (or ask again).
ma 8 = m+ as5/10+ emergency area of hospital
ment, sero are good woords but don't go on the list.
Hurshy -- what is your icon?
Jacula, that darn te 6 still doesn't appear for me....
yes jacula, gimme a sec...
Better call it a day. Have a date with the eye doctor in the morning. See you all tomorrow sometime. Good night.
te6 - would appear as if it sounded like a te7 word (not in puzzle) meaning a weak connection
my icon is a rainbow at victoria falls
last word for me... first an 6/24?
good night inge! good luck w/ the doc tomorrow.
goodnight inge!
kristinc -- you should get this one! iron-poor blood is an 6

oooh! me, me, kristinc! congrats, btw. :) an 8/45?
congrats kristinc!!!! i'm lacking oh 5/16
Stidmama - that is a hard one unless you've studied Greek or Latin. It means a voiceless stop or, more especially, a voiceless unaspirated stop in ancient Greek. It stems from the Greek word for 'thin'. Think of a te***** link but change the 5th letter to a personal pronoun (an upstanding single letter), scrap the next vowel and keep the snakey end letter.
sa 7/32 - to stroll, and beginning of mr. claus + abbr for instant messages
oh+***rophone (used to amplify!)
^*^*^^**FIREWORKs^*^*^*^for KRISTINC
Hurshy - I can see it now you've told me. Shame we can't enlarge the icons to see them better.

Jeffer - 1st qu7/44, if you haven't got it already. Think of the designer of the mini-skirt, Mary Qu***. The mini-skirt may be described as the 7. LOL. What it really means is 'A homogeneous polynomial having two or more variables'. I bet you're really glad you asked now, aen't you?:-))

scatty, well that's good. Hopefully I'll steer clear. Okay friends, we're going to do some housework tonight so I better run. Good luck to all the finishers.
i'm off to bed, see you all tomorrow, good luck everyone, nighty night
Bendy - When you've played this game a while you get to know what the weird words are that both yourself and newer folks can, and often do, miss. Thing is, as I think Sprite said much earlier, when you're a Babble 'veteran' you tend to look for the weird words first and miss the normal, simple ones!!
night kristinc
bye kristin, scatty!
nevermind...got it
goodnight scatty and kristin
'Bye to all those going. Abe - Sorry! But glad you got it anyway.
good night kristinc and scatty! Thanks for the help!
Jacula SA born, Zimbabwe 20 yrs now here last 10
Jeffer - I wondered if you might be British as you got the mini skirt thing. My auntie used to live in Zimbabe back in the late 60s, also Botswana, but had to leave when troubles kicked off.
Well, thanks to everyone's help, I'm done! (also, it took me so long because I swear I put some of the words in earlier, but then they were gone) so....WHEHEHEHEHEHEHEEH EHEEEEEE! I've finished. Anyone need a hint?

Yup, Bendy, you can put words in and the site 'blips'.

Jacula those would both be great especially weather, but many other things. Still pretty good all round, but quite different to those days - would go back anytime
Does anyone have the QU6/33?
or, if my parents were mad at me, they could say, "Leslie!! Get your (qu+) *** ** here!"
qu 6/33 a pastry crust filled with egg and other things
qu 6/33: an eggy-cheesy "pie" that if mispronounced would sound "fast"
bendamalina i need the first sh 5/12 please
3 re 5/12 (not dealing with money)

yw
anyone else close and just need a few clues? i need to head to bed soon.
yay angelsong!
Stid - if my Paul was here, and not sleeping ready for work very shortly, he'd most certainly make a crude male comment about ne6 + tuna! However, he's asleep and so he won't, thank goodness!LOL.
I am NOT done with the res... I need the second-to-last re 6/21; the 4,6,7/32 combo... and the 5/14 -6/24 combos please *begging for handouts*
Hurshy - I can do about another 30 mins on here if you need to sleep.
bendamalina - no ESP, just, if i don't know it, i figure most people don't know it :)
Jacula, I consider myself very lucky indeed, then! LOL
re 6/21 - pl of last re5 i gave abe

re 6/21: take me5/12 (the unit for lenth), palindrome it, then pluralise it
omg - i really cannot believe how long this is taking me - i took a xanax about 8 hours ago and am still moving in slo-mo!
LeslieAnn - some people shrug their shoulders and say, 'It's just se*******!'
mi 6/24 (second to last mi)
bendamalina - palindrome it sounds like you want to make it into metem or reter or something - you should prob just say reverse it :)
thanks all -- now I need the 6/21 between the 4/5 and the 5/10 which means "tree sap"
mi 6/24 scottish for mom (and very sim to english)
I still think you're some sort of super-babble entity, hurshy!
photographed again
um... bendamalina... have you met sprite?
re6/21 above the tree sap word - to have hit with a gun again.
true enough, hurshy. note taken for future clue giving. And no, I don't believe I've had the pleasure of meeting sprite.
helenkeller, I have not taken xanax today, but I know what you describe! I have another 26 words to go... and it will probably take me up to the flip to get them.
Hurshy is hot (in the Babble sense!) but Sprite is no.1 player still.
well then, you ain't seen nothin' yet.
i think hurshy's hot in every sense *wink wink*
Jacula, you are a #1 clue giver! *fish, please*
ok, i'm just hoping she answers my questions first ;)
thanks hurshy...and might i add hurshy is an awesome clue-giver and math helper-outer. sprite also gave some kick a** clues at the crack of dawn today
sprite can come on with 78 words to go, and i have 13, neither of us using list, and she beats me. or another time it was 130-something to 30-something, same deal.
Hurshy, Hurshy she's the one She makes Babbling lots of fun!
Jac now starts singing the old Bachman-Turner Overdrive song...
its always nice to have a buddy in the trenches stid- great we'll keep each other company!!!

Huh. interesting, but can she read minds?!!!!

Anyone have the CE6/21?
qu5/18 - to set aside or to annul. If you put an 's' in front of it, it would mean to flatten, or a fruit drink concentrate that needs diluting.
ma 6/21 is the plural of the preceding 5/12
ce 6/12- think breath mint + vowel + plural
me7/36 - more me4/6
THanks Abe.

yw minski, thanks jacula
Stid - the last na6/21 means stunted or dwarfed/dwarved. However, it sounds more like prejudice against grandmothers.
i'm sorry, i really feel v. high maintenance. i'm missing the ho 8. if my clue asking is getting annoying, i'm so sorry
It's an 'ism', Stid!

abe -- I'm an expert on hos! LOL ho 8 is a (male) person who rides equines...
Jacula! THANKS!
stid - how are you doing? i still have 27 more - could this go any slower???
ho8 is a male who works with the preceding 5/12 and following 6/21
mi 7/36 rhymes w/ em 6/21
abe - we love giving clues! Nuisance? No! ho8 - think of an R.F. Delderfield novel, 'A Ho****** Riding By'. Failing that, think of a male rider.
LOL Jacula!
and thanks bendamalina
helen -- I am down to 18, but only by surfing for clues in between asking for help! LOL It went slower when I was listless... but only barely.
although, i like the image of ho8 being a centaur
so a definition for mi 7.36 would be upchucking Marcel Marceau?
yw abe
hi 8?
Bendy - I do have to say that it was the centaur clue earlier that got it for me.
Done with the As & Cs but still have 65 words to find and must go to beddiebye soon.
stidmama - LOL . i suppose it would be...
heh, i wish I had seen the centaur clue earlier. I was stuck on ho8 for a good long time.

ma6 - Of, relating to, or having the power of divination; prophetic.

how about the ma 6/30?
The ic was a b*gger. Stid, However, it turned out to be simple. Think book or 1973 film, 'The Ic*** Cometh'.
ma6/24 take an insect that eats its mate (praying ma****) and change the last letter to a different consonant

jacula, you've been so helpful. you should sleep if you have to. and thanks bendamalina, you've been awesome too
Jacula -- thanks for all the help. go to sleep....
oh, sorry, i screwed up the ma6/30 clue...it should be ma6/30 take the word used to describe the dolls that department stores dress up in clothing, remove the last two letters, and then move the letter in the center to the end of the word.
stid - it goes slowly -only down to 22 - you?
:) thought I'd be silly, JACULA...it's kind of fun to shout your name
That looks like the Babble community telling me to p/orf! LOL. Only joking! Okay

First things I saw in today's grid were the things on my mind, I guess... I saw 'him', 'her', and 'Crete'. That'ss where our hol in July will be. So looking forward to the hol., but not the packing or the airport.
