Showered and another Beer - just told my parents my soccer news - Cooking dinner.
Atalante - she's still in hospital but had a great day out for a few hours. Looks like she might be in for a little while longer - 2 out of 3 doctors think she needs to stay for another week or so
How did MRP handle her outing? it's always quite a challenge when you leave the hospital
Her pain is a little too much to handle - but at least the swelling is down. She's doing great otherwise - so proud of her.
she did well - but we had to rush her back after the game - the pain came back hard.
oh yuk, but sometimes its best to just stay put until you are really *really* ready to leave.

its a 15 month deployment
they get a 18 day or so R&R about mid way through. First R&R rotation starts in October. Bryan is hoping to take it in Feb. That way he will be able to spend time with Simon and me. The commander told him he could come home in October, but it wouldn't be good if I hadn't had the baby and Lots of other stuff

Jellen - My writing career took off from about the age of 8 (when I was first published) and continued apace until my divorce/daughter being ill/house floods and other general life disasters. Somehow, dealing with real life took all the creative juices out of me. They're on the way back now (began with travel writing for small audiences) and the clearing out of all the clutter is part of the process.
Can anyone tell me why I can never just sneeze once these days; it's always 5 times in a row? It just happened... again.

Jellen - I've never stopped having ideas, just the will to carry them through. I have a boxfile or two of ideas and beginnings/endings. When all the decluttering is done I shall look through them and, if I don't think, 'What the hell was I on about??' I may try to do something with them. I did suggest a while ago to a group of friends that I was considering shredding all of my past work but they were so horrified that I promised I wouldn't do that.

we applied for a carers allowance from the government... it is an allowance, not a benefit, so it isn't means tested... anyway, after giving them 50 pages on what is wrong with me, what I can/can't do, what colour undies I wear on wednesday night etc etc... including my son's allowance for asperger syndrome (just had to write his name and tick the box!!?), Mark is receiving $200 a week to look after me. It is amazing! we finally get some financial help after 7 years of this shit!

My daughter's just having to apply for help with Uni tuition fees (about £25,000 they will be, all told). It seems that with her meagre wage and mine they also want to add that of my live-in fella's. Even though he is NOT her parent or guardian or obliged to pay anythings towards her upkeep (he has his own child and ex to sort out). However, the Uni form includes him and so precludes her getting her tuition fees paid. Her Dad will now have to stump up for it.
