The dumb thing is i knew it was my house as the pool table room hasnt changed. I used to sit there and watch the storms roll out over the mountains

Checked out your old place, Herin. It looks very nice. I have a similar story about a home we had in Lorne, Victoria.
Infernal...I think we all have a strong attachment to the house we grow up in. I was horrified when my parents 'just' up and sold my childhood home, they had no such feelings though and were happy to move on
My brother, sister and I have just repurchased our original home that my parents built in the 70s. (Not the one in Lorne)

My Dad died last xmas, and my Mum is really happy about it. She is going to rent it from us when she sells the home she is currently in whcih is too huge for her on her own.

Yes. She loves the fact that we still have some memories for her to hang onto. It ws really odd looking back through that old house again. Nothing has changed. My room still has the wallpaper and brown marks left from my posters on the wall.
My problem is it seems like it was all my fault. If my parents hadnt of had me then mum would have done the books properly then they wouldnt have been ripped off by dads business partner then we would have still had the place

it makes sense. My g.f bless her cotton socks went ROAD TRIP. I think it sucks that people still today are losing everything. It sucks jobs are casual you may as well sell your first born thrice over to buy a house. I am lucky to have soeone that cares for me and has a good job (touch wood on that since he wants to quit)

The baby is very easy-going and sweet. I did her 2 wk well baby visit in Mary's room at the cancer center. I brought a scale from the office to weigh her. I wanted Mary to be a part of the visit.

i cannot say anything positive about winter..period... there is not colour..everything is cold...the wind off the lake bites your skin... the black ice, went slush on roads...wet cold feet....runny noses... and even the angle of the sun up here...hurts the eyes

we have a HUGe lake directly to the north of us ( 5 min walk ) that freezes over completely every few years...so the wind is always a harsh damp cold wind here...goes through the bones... only when it gets cold enough to freeze the lake over does the wind become tollerable..but then you are living with -20 - -30 C temps

the winds we get off of lake huron are the same if you are on the lake..but they sweep down from northern canada and the arctic circle...fortunately for me here....specifically where I live..there is a 40 foot cliff that displaces the worst of the gusts....

vista has quite a steep learning curve IMHO
they stopped making 2gig hard drives a loooong time ago
it's an AMD Athlon 64 x2 dual core processor 5000+...2 gb dual channel DDR2 SDRAM at 667 MHz - 2DIMMs...whatever that means
it means its pretty damn fast....and that AMD's lawsuit against dell really paid off
it means it's nice and fast :-D
