hey dart...what did oss mean in her email....they aren't in a hurry to fix tangle? or is it dead altogether?
I got an e-mail from iwin today saying they no longer are supporting the "classic" games...then went on to say... go play some of the other ones they have , sounded to me as though they are dead..
mo 8 been called?
that sucks
yay, got the mo8
got the 8 but now off to bed.. good luck all
49 to go
do7
nite ruru
g'night ruru, sleep well
nite dc
I think we should all send them "tickets" daily stating how much we miss tangle
I think we should too... they hear from me aloot!
what a bunch of jerks, they said when they took the site over from playsite, that they wouldn't be changing the classic games
I couldn't figure out how to email them, so I sent a "ticket" today.
every time I find a word game I really like, they shut down the site grrr
I think ( heard thru the grapevine) that the hackers and cheaters actually blew the site up.. and they think it's too hard to maintain because of jerks...
hang your head my muse -- ty
I said something similar to my hubby last week; well the hackers won this time... which really is frustrating...
lol yw nan :)
I wonder if that was the purpose all along. I also wonder what fire and the rest of the gang are doing for entertainment.
I wonder too...thought maybe they were around babble
there's always wordracer on yahoo

I saw a different doc today and he didn't even believe in natural drugs
[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[
natural ones do have limits, as do chemical ones

My apostrophe button is not working to well so sorry if i don't add the ' when needed.
that's okay infernal, we're not grading for punctuation tonight
That was the button that popped off
I normally only punctuate grading
mostly apostrophes are superfluous anyway
that was frustrating....got knocked off...thought it was my router etc...messed around with it for about 45 mins...called the internet prov. and they told me they had taken it down for maintenance...grrrr
It is the one button i try to use most
hey dart!
so good of them to notify you dart
Dart that was annoying Mr Pres is having a similar problem
hiya fran

saym herin? did your apostrophe button by any chance fall off?
we'll see if it helps with the way the connection slows down sometimes

here's hoping. might be worth asking comcast about.
that was a note for me, that last bit :)

Hello, mrpresident, ma'am
I am going through a proxy server in Turkey!! I must love you guys! Am unhappy that I couldn't finish the bloody grid cause of server problems
put a book on the keyboard unintentionally. sorry
hello BabbleRabble sir :)
it is me! I am having huge problems with the server.... or did someone ask dr.g to ban me from babble???
hee hee, don't worry babrab, it was like a shot of caffeine, woke me right up!

lol fran
hehehe! I just don't understand why I can't get online
hi dart :))
hi mrp :)
it's the night for connecting problems, i was kicked off the internet twice so far
it is bizarre that I am going through a server in turkey for this!! gobble gobble
the nice cable company is coming tomorrow to install a booster for my modem. :-D
mrp, based on when i worked for a co with offices in Sydney, i think it's an issue aronud Sydney, if not NSW generally.
but more so annoying that I couldn't finish my puzzle... and there was a hot topic that I had been asked a question of!!! I didn't get to answer!!! bugger
yes dcs, I believe so!
need help wit' the st7 now

Babble what happened
nope, not yet mrp
still need 36 more
go MM go!
Babble i thought you went to sleep on the keybord
that amazed me when i lived in Boston. The wind was such that even at 5ºF, you could hang laundry and get it dry. Having grown up in the doldrums lattitude, that amazed me.
Hi Movie and Mr Pres and anyone else i missed getting dinner
I beleive you
hiya herin
gettin' ready for cinema trip, bbl
Enjoy Movie

yay! Gs done

Just sick and need to be dead on the couch
later mrp
poor infernal
Poor me i really really really really lots wanted to go to yoga but you can't do exercise when you are sick. This i found out after i went to a gym walked for 2ks and did my weights
yeah, don't want to tire yourself out, your body is fighting the virus, can't be concerned with yoga right now. :-)
can you do yogurt instead?
*snicker*
Babble ha ha but do you realise that soy yogurt isn't to tasty
Apparently you are not meant to do exercise when you are sick as there is 'study's shown' that when sick and doing exercise it can be bad for your heart.
ok, back.... and the driveway is disgusting!!! have called the outdoor cleaner to come fix the muck!! he is here now, at 8.40pm.... what service!
acidophilus supplements don't taste.
Point DC Dare i ask Mr PRes why the Drive is gross
amazing mrp!
and if what you have is contagious others may not appreciate your sharing
It is amazing how wonderful people are to us. To get night time service with 30 minutes notice is wonderful. We have to get the driveway sparkling!!!
firewords
That is true Babble.
Yah dart
yay dart!!
congrats, dart
welcome back, mrpresident, ma'am
we had builders here today.... they drove their van up and the van had a sump oil problem,,,, all over our driveway!!! They didn't tell us about it, but we don't accept the disgusting leftovers.
yay dart!!!!!
so, they are being charged for the graffiti they left on our driveway.... and the overtime at 9pm at night!!
wow Mr Pres you tell them that is rude of them to do that
we have a very important open house tomorrow and auction of the property is on saturday... they are liable for damage and must pay for it
infern, I let lickety deal with that... he is good at public relations... I just get angry and yell when that happens. He is my saving grace for making sure things are happy and good all round
wow, big doings this week! hope you get a great price
actually, he is good at everything :))
Mr PRes that is true. Best wishes with house
thanks babrab... we are hoping for the best too, but as we are not 'desperate' we can hold out for the best price
thanks infern :))
A drive can be important at first look
Well, I have returned!!!!!
saving 15 for tomorrow
what happened MM, no movie?
be well, Fran
well, i'm off to bed folks, see you all tomorrow!
thanks babrab!

wow dcseain
Miss has been lovely to chat to....do yu mean that in a gud way herin?
Don't stress Miss B
Wow, dc...I thought my mother's family was large with 12 children!
yes, they were born over 25 years between and 1892 and 1917. She bore 11 between 1922 and 1946.
I mean that in a good way Miss
Also sorry to sound like a mum but isnt it late for you
DC that is alot
wait, off on the earlier date range by 10 years :)
My goodness, dc...any multiple births?
Good morning, and WOW, Seain! That was a very fertile and busy couple!
Hi Scrabble

bye bye phandmd

Night Phan

As always
Did you hear about the magic tractor? It went down the lane and turned into a field.
Oh ha ha
Haha, bfsog.
lol bf
thank you thank you, im here til 4!
pissy herin? Moja had an open sore that she and Bili her sis kept licking so the bandage stopped them and gave it time to heal
The cats looked cranky in the pics. i think i remember asking you about the fur babbies before
I love big furry cuddley kittys
im a dog person
Ah Bili is the one that get's cranky, I just don't manage to get the cute pics. Moja is the cuddliest cat in the world, just loves to be hugged!
I love them all (3 dogs, 1 cats)
Tinks still cute
oops, make the 2 cats.
the = that...my little "girl" is sprawled out across my arms as I'm trying to type (good excuse for typos!) :o)
bfsog - can't have a dog, wouldn't be fair to leave them when I'm at work. do have friends with dogs, their pics are here http://picasaweb.google.com/tisTinks/D ogs?authkey=L2Q9hKS_iHY
http://www.tinyurl.com.au/x.php?blj thats my other fotos
AWHH Nonnie
Who's the cutie with the big tongue herin?
THat is Mitzy she was a blue healer or Kelpy She lived till she was 18
wow, herin...many years for a dog!
She looks lovely, mab looks cuddly
A couple of years ago Mitz came in said her farewells and went on her blanket to sleep
Mab is cute and nuts
Awhh, so sad...
Mab and Moj would probably get on well herin, I swear Moj sometimes thinks she's a dog!
Yes but she was very old
My cat dislikes most people and other animals
Moj loves everyone, Bili is more selective :)
So she's a momma's girl then...nothing wrong with that ;o)

On Noggin there are some unreal players--they are really good!
I do bellydance...and all the stretching involved in that...but for last 3 months I haven't had time to even turn on the music

I meant Meditation, maybe I do need medication :-)

Best of luck Krist
things are going well with the house sale.... will see what comes of the auction this saturday. If it doesn't go at auction, will sell for a set price
need to tak with my Doc re some meds to help me sleep
Go Lady go!!
bye kirstine :)
Mr Pres your house is lovely
I started CPAP a 3 wks ago and have never slept better or felt more rested.
later kristinc
the mask doesn't bother you Scrabs
oh peri! I know that feeling!
thanks infern :))
been that way most of my adult life mrp :(
Well, Peri, I cannot sleep on my belly anymore, and yes, the mask is somewhat annoying, but I am sleeping better than expected. Last night I did not wake up at all (that I can recall).
really don't like taking meds for anything but I am beginning to look older than I really am, which is not a good thing
I went to the doc today as i needed a script and the doc told me i should ask my doc to up my meds to the 80mil Lovan. I went mmm k and kinda ignored him
what is Lovan for herin
enable did see cousin vinnie....yoots is a word
it is after 11pm and the house cleaner is here.... the bloody buggers who replaced our guttering dumped their sump oil on our driveway
thats great Scrabs wish I could sleep through the night
infern, that is alot of Lovan
YACK.... I hope they paying for it
Depression. 2 years i am stable and this strange doc told me i should up my dose. No is what i thought
Mr PRes are you going to get any sleep tonight
Lovan is for anxiety
never heard of it herin
It is working
the company will have to pay... we have very good insurance
mrp you changed your icon!!
good good
I did peri! thought I would go sunny cat for a while :)
I like the sunny cat MR Pres
I am not "seeing" words anymore. Off to breakfast, then work. I shall return tonight. Enjoy the day everyone.
take care scarbs
later Scrabbler
scrabs even :)
I like it mrp
I am just amazed at the amount of jobs that have come up around the house since we decided to sell.... sewage, plumbing, electrical, gardening etc.... what an expense!
bye scrabbs! :)
why are you selling your house mrp
THat is one that will pay off MR Pres
peri, I can't work.... ergo, can't do the mortgage. Lickety gets a wonderful salary, but it is too much for him to do. We need to 'downsize'
can you get disability?
ok, mrp will keep my fingers crossed and send Reiki to your situation in hopes that the house sells at auction
no I can't. Lickety earns way too much for me to apply
ergo is one of my favorite words
thank you peri!! :))
Guess it's different here. Has nothing to do with your total household income. My mom was on disability for years while my father was still working
I thought so bichon, mrp have you tried to apply for disability, it wouldn't hurt to do so
Bichon in AUs Mr Pres is licketys property according to Centrelink the people that give you money. Now if she was a lesbian in a 'married' situation they wouldnt care. that and its only her arm its not permanant and all that crap. Centrelink have their heads up their butt
oh that stinks, herin
we don't get anything for disability. I really am cross about that cause we are financially unstable if I don't work. why should we sell our house if I can't work! seems like a pointless exercise to me
I would be very cross, mrp
what if you lived alone, mrp would you qualify then?
If you go to http://www.centrelink.gov.au/ these are the arsehats that run peoples lives
arsehats :-)
That's very unfair. Our employer pays money for our diability insurance through a private insurance company, but that is required by law.
I would certainly qualify... would get disability and single mother pension
Mr Pres i totally understand why you would be cross. Its not fair. Oh and then you could bludge forever on that MR Pres and take Lickety to the cleaners for childsupport and he could give you $20 a fortnight. :P
My parents thought of getting a divorce when they retired as they get more as a de facto. They get less dollars than me
that is very, very unfair, mrp
When you consider getting a divorce because it will give you MORE money...there is something wrong with your system.
getting married and having children is a tax burden. BUT, I wanted to be married with children.... and so be it
Or you get compensation and you live on that before you can claim money. You must live on all money and savings before claiming. It makes my head explode.
At least our health system doesnt mean that you have to sell every thing before you get treated.
I live in Canada...I sel nothing to get treated
yes, our health system is good, but not when you are sick for a long period of time
Mr PRes i hope that the peoples treat you well
I pay nothing for my treatment. but I certainly am disabled and get nothing for it
Can't you get anything at all mr pres from centrelink?
not a thing infern. My husband is in a salary that excludes us.
Hi folks. Just whizzing by and saw the discussion on MrP's predicament. Here in UK I think she would be eligible for incapacity benefit and possibly quite a few more things. See http://tinyurl.com/2fky5q
Hi Jac
That sucks MR PRes. I think they only way out of this is income insurance.
I had income insurance... life and disability... guess what??
They didn't pay up? Cause that sounds about right
They didn't cover your particular ca4?
My tumour was not one of the 'listed' 57 tumours.... it was super super rare.... so they didn't pay me out.
what? unbelievable, mrp
That stinks, MrP!
oh feck off. Did you tell them that is fecking ridiculous
Mr.P, it sounds like you've had a heck of a time...How can insurance not work for the rare/unexpected? Isn't that the point??
yep, we were disgusted. can't do anything about it
I guess you've appealed, MrP?
no point to appeal... we signed the paperwork and 'agreed' to their terms
This is going to sound real dumb but there was no fine print? I didnt think they had particulars Like cancer number 3 toe etc
If I were you, MrP, I'd speak to a solicitor about that.
Is this some sort of "fine print" to guilt you into buying most expensive insurance?
afternoon all..
HI rolin
Hello, rolin.
they certainly have particulars... and we can't claim on ultra specific rare illnesses
Head desk
hi rolin :))
I must go. 21 left to find but I was in the middle of hutch cleaning... BBL. I hope you gets things sorted, MrP. x
Hi Rolin :)
thanks jac :)
oh man! I have one word on my 'word list' LOL. I have had so much trouble getting on the site. I really should try and finish before being booted again
fouind 1/2 bbl
I remember the bullcrap my aunt went through to get her money for my uncles care in the last few months of his life. The superannuation company requested costs for his palative care. Mr uncle even sold his very expensive car to make sure she would have a reliable car. He was a mechanic and loved cars. It was one of his pride and joys.
bye peri :)
hi all
hi joso and later peri
hi joso :))
hi Mr P, herin
Excuse me if I'm sticking my nose in Mr. P, but I'd at least talk to a lawyer, there are many insurance companies that won't pay out large claims unless there is a lawyer in the picture. I know lawyers can be expencive but it's probally worth the fee for a couple of hours of a lawyer's time just to find out if you do have a claim, or if the insurance company is telling the truth.
Excuse me everyone i must go to bed night all
g'nite herin
night Herin
im back !
hi, all
What a quiet room
What timing....Hi angel!
I'm just trying to get my creaky cogs turning
I had such fun y'day. I resurrected my blog.
That's exciting! Finding inspiration in your new house? :)
absolutely. I wrote an entry that could be a mini war and peace.
lol
When I can get the inspiration, I rarely feel better than after writing something
I love writing, reading and words! I discovered, when I learned to read, that my disabilities notwithstanding, I could go anywhere and do anything.
im going to write a book

hi dan, bye dan!
FIREWORKS!:-)
Did anyone read the log between 6 and 7? All about MrPrez financial woes due to her medical bills? What a sad state of affairs! They have to auction off their house and get a smaller one to make ends meet.
congrats angel
yay Jac!
Congrats to Angel & Merk.
yes, I did, Merk . . . nothing about insurance claims surprises me after Katrina . . .
Merk- Yes, I did. It's a dreadful state of affairs.
that IS sad Merk; our country is in a sad state; don't get me started! :)
jac, great pic of your parents!
Une - Thanks. One of many. They were very photogenic.:)
I'm traveling and the discussion was just starting when I lost the internet. When I got back on just now I went back to reread it. Unbelievable! I had no idea Australia could make things so difficult for the disabled ... all so unfair.
And I have to leave again now ... go back and read the chat log if you have not. It's an eyeopener and helps to understand MrPrez difficulties even more.
See you tomorrow ever so briefly.
I must be off, too - laundry to deal with etc. Might BBL to clue.
'Bye Merk. Enjoy your travels.
I will. We're in beautiful New Mexico, Land of Enchantment.
bye
I can't get my log to go further down - mine says 8:01 here, earliest I see is 7:29
click on the small box above the chat log to the right of the "friends"...it will open a window with the full chat log
ahhhh - tx
jac, i just uploaded the parental units as well! :-)
Aw, that's a lovel pic, Une.
.. or even a lovelY pic.
my mom was such a Southern Belle! Check out Daddy's white linen suit, my mom's organdy dress, and the fabbo cake special ordered from New Orleans! (and I was married at the town hall in St. Cloud--LOL)
Really going now. (I distracted myself looking for Scottish things for tomorrow's theme). Byeee. xx
wow, so people are really on this site 24 hours a day, huh? :)
good morning all
hi crp - I was doing some shopping on amazon....
How many words total today, anyone?
142
142
Thanks !
can someone clue the first mo 6,27 for me plz?
just started grid asgreenblatt
my first mo6/27 is a plural of mo5/16
ah, then, can you clue the 5,16??? :)
and rhymes with co6/27
lol - haven't started the c's yet
it's a word that I've heard people use to mean "a lot" or "much"
good clue kitty, couldn't think of a way to describe it
Thanks! Does it help?
nope
:)
the mo 5/16 rhymes with a kind of drums
think of the drum that you beat on that starts with a b and sub an M
THAT helped! thanks! :)
and the first mo 6,27 anyone?
put a consonant on the end of that mo5/16
tx!
the one before I think is a vowel at the end of mo5/16
oh, thanks kitty
plural that gives you a mo7
yw
tx for that one too kitty!
ONE mo left
how could i have 4 more m's to find
good for you green
wait - read that - one more MO, but 81 left in total!
yes, but i have 4 more m's, so you're doing better than me :)
do you have the mo8
I do, it's the animal
yes, got it already
oh, I'm missing a 4,5
the one after the 8
got it
hmmm, the one i have is take out the g from the mo5/16
had the plural, thought I entered the single. Anyway, no more Ms!
some of us do that all the time
I think I'll bow out now - 80 to go...and life to live! LOL - see ya later!
hi, i am new at this.. what do that tile stats stand for?
bye green
71 down, 71 to go, good time to stop and go shop. later!
chams they tell you how many words are on each letter
bye ypsigirl
start with each letter? or use each letter.. thanks
starts,so the top right box has two j words
I am avoiding a job I have to do, but only for 10 more mins. anyone need a clue?
oh. that is a good clue.. great..
if you go to the bottom of the page click on AngelSong's Babble page, it explains alot about Babble
hello all - cant believe i battled to find mo8 and have them in my garden often
i have the jo4/11, what's the other one, phandmd
i need help with the one of the j words. have the one that means run.
hi ursh, really are they pests for you, i love the rikki-tikki-tavi story
jo 6/36 -
I am thinking how to clue
No pabtrek they are quite shy and usually just streak through - my sister picked up a baby whose mum had been run over and it was truly the cutest little thing - so bright and clever
that is wonderful, i think they are sooo cute
it means prone to joking, humourous, playful
jo is an adjective relating to being humorous
thanks ursh
at least thats what enable says - i never heard it before
me neither
love clueing with the definitions - makes me feel sooo clever and usually never heard the word
exactly
so time is ticking on my cluebility... anyone need one???
i have mo7 and st7, what do the other 7's start with please
co 7/40
co 7/32
do 7/32
thanks phandmd
there are 2 co 7/40's
should I clue any of these 7's?
one of the co7/40 please
strike that, the do7 please
both of them are plurals do you have co 6/27 or co 5/16?
the do 7 is a plural too, do you have the 6/21?
no, i don't
think truck with double wheels
ah, thanks phand
(hint uses 2 sets of double vowels)
anymore?
the co7/32
when someone is sad you co* them
thanks, phand
sure, anymore?
Hi all
nope, will struggle with the last 40, thanks
hi Preethi
OK, gotta run now then. Gotta clean the van before our trip tomorrow
bye, have a good trip
Thanks, we aren't leaving until late afternoon, early evening
oh, then you'll have time to Babble tomorrow, that is very important :)
Hello fellow Babblers!
hi Aloy
hi pabtrek.. easy grids lately..
i don't know, yesterdays was a bit of a pain
today's not too bad
Good morning/afternoon all.
well, maybe because I was traveling yesterday.. felt time constricted so I really concentrated and it went well.. missed chatting tho... hi Haz!
Hi pabtrek, Haz
Hello Aloy!
And Preethi, as well.
hi Preethi!
anyone has the 1st co 6/21 and the no 5/12 and 5/10?
Hi Haz
HI Aloy
no5/10 - used for hanging
the first co6.21 is an abbrev. version of the co7.32 that follows it
no5/12 - no plus the first part of Aaron's brother or the opposite of le5/10 (the smallest part)
Thats the 2nd co 6/21 Aloy:) I have that
h'mm that is my first one..
Aloy, it's the first one on my list as well. The second one is co6/21 - plural of co5/12.
Thanks Haz, Aloy, Vicuna
righto, haz.. i double checked.. ah, glad you got it Preethi

hi Ata!
Hello Atalante!
hi Ata
I met a gorgeous baby orange cocker today. she was a *darling*
She sounds lovely! They're such pretty dogs.
oh she was, she was that really soft ginger colour with a few splodges of white
I went to my favourite pub/restaurant place for lunch. Had a croque monsieur. I had 1/3, Hobbit had 1/3 and Ruby (the cocker) had 1/3!
I need help on the first CO 6/24
You obviously couldn't resist their doeful gazes.
No Haz I dont..I noticed that More words is listed in resources.. i once tried to look uo omething and it says its more than 2000 words
co + at***phere + familiar vowel
co6/24 - co plus a singular leader of Israel (Aaron's brother)
got it thanks you two
Preethi - I use it a lot, you type in the first two letters, leave dashes for the rest and it brings up all the words, you then look through for what you're missing.
and it was a huuuuuuge croque!
(-:
phantom - peote
Hi Ata
So, they were only helping you out, really. Kind of saving you from yourself.
ohh.. that should be very handy esp when you are stuck with some silly words
oh yes. clever dogs
Thanks for the tip Haz.. Ill try using it
It's a great resource - I'm not very patient and find that it saves my sanity.
clues for co 6/27 the second and third ones on lickety please
Ok me off to bed - thank you for the clues everyone and happ babbling :)
Good night, Preethi, sleep well.
happy snoozing, Preethi!
Any Help?
mkg -- country in Africa, change ending vowel, then double
hey bres
always, Harlie!
d!!
con6/27 - doubles the vowel helping at the end of co5/16 which precedes it.
then drop double vowel and plural
Hey Alexis!!
I was wondering why my kettle was taking so long to come to a boil... I never turned on the burner. Sigh.
hey bread!!
hehe thanks Aloy.. we have a National Sales conference happening this weekend and have a VC scheduled at 7 in the mrning.. so have to hit the bed early
And then plural it for co7/40.
that would explain it
coffeemakers won't work either unless you plug them in, I discovered
Hey BREAD!!!!! Im butter!!!!!!
Being an idiot can be very hard work sometimes.
Let's wait for pudding to arrive.
i was just testing u good job u pased
VC? Good luck with it, whatever it is.. video conference?
haz missing the 5 before it too. sorry. there are 4 in a row i cant seem to get.
you spelled PASSED wrong bread!!!!!@
mkg - country in Africa (which is also a word in the puzzle)
Every morning I wake up in a daze and forget to turn on the kettle for my tea...or bol then forget it, or pour it then forget it. Just too much work!
leave me alone u know im a bad peller
Okay, co5/16 - co plus the last three letters of a citrus fruit which is also a colour (mix red and yellow)
Beginning to wonder whether this might be a good time to pursue other interests...
Or, it could be clued as the country in Africa, different vowel at the end (for the first co5/16)
got three of them haz. thanks much. now need one more 6/27 the 3rd on lickety if you have clues.
well, fireworks are sending me outside to do yardwork.. see you all next grid.. happy babbling!!!
wow. Now I really know!!! What u up to Alexis?
just got it haz. thanks much.
congrats Aloy
Goodbye, Aloy! Yay for fireworks for yoU!
good job Aloy!
25 to go for me
co6/27 - the plural of the co5/16 that begins that particular run of words.
me too bbnaz
shut up!! nm im kinda sitting right next to u though!!
need the first jo word the 6......
jo6 - meaning joking. Clue pending.
ha! I just realized!!!
took u long enough!
haz, there is no h here for joking word.......
Waiting for this clue Haz I have got word but racking my brains trying to clue it!!!
Thanks bread!!! I am beating u!!!
so i dont get it though
lets try jo+ ....nostra but replace last vowel
jo plus a word that means comfortable, warm etc, but take off the sometimes vowel at the end and replace it with a real one. (to rhyme with foot digits)
Tea at last, tea at last!
boy haz i still am clueless........
got it by chance. dont know it.
Good morning all! Fabulous clue, Haz!!
Glad you got it, mkg.
first three letters are first 3 of a dumb athlete, last 3 letters are last three of a garden watering tube
Hello Scarlet - nice to see you!
Good to see you, too, Haz, Vicuna, mkg and anyone I missed!
Hello, Scarlet!
Afternoon Scarlet :)
Deeha, pabtre, Uniquity, bbnaz...
Did you get the news from EvaNadine that her boyfriend has been called for a second interview?
pabtrek...
Hi to you Scarlet
No, Haz... thank you very much for telling me... that is wonderful news!
She's very pleased, made a point yesterday of asking if you were around, so I thought I'd pass the message on.
hi Scarlet
I appreciate the spreading of good news any time, Haz. How is everyone this gorgeous day?
gorgeous day? where?
I'm well, thanks.
LOL, hello to you, Atalante!
Not here! Grey damp misty - lights on by 3 pm!
It's nice here now, earlier today it was dark, gloomy and wet.
Good morning all :)
Good morning Jakki.
We are having a spectacular day... cold, frosty start, but sun strong now... it may get to 55-degrees by 2 p.m.
Hello, JakkiCarr.
Welcome to the grid!
We have weather here, too.
Hi Haz, Scar, Atal, and thanx. Only joined yesterday....
anyone have the first se 5/14? cant get third letter.
Still figuring it out :)
Where are you, Vicuna? Well, JakkiCarr... get ready for a full-tilt addiction!! :-)
se5/14 - use the points for the 3rd letter
se + an a***stic believes in some unknown higher power
surprisingly enough, its just like that here too, Deeha!
Boston
also missing st 6/24 and 7.
se5/14 - se plus the first letters of the garden figure adored by some women (little men in hats)
anyone have the first co 6/24?
just got the st words.
st6 - there are three famous ones (curly, etc) and plural
co6/24 - co plus a singular leader of Israel (Aaron's brother, less a letter)
dont know the name of that garden figure.......i guess it was a greek god eh?
Are you a Patriots fan, Vi? I guess it's nearly unavoidable.
LOL, Uni... that's a good clue!
ty Haz
Actually, I'm not a Patriots fan. For one thing, I just don't care about football. For another I didn't grow up here.
No, not a Greek god, they're not nearly that good looking. Think more along the lines of goblins or woodland creatures.
Okay.
greek gods? *giggles*
My husband retains his Broncos fanship from his youth, so I'm usually happier if they win, so he'll be happier.
se, a three pointing letter, Just say this to drugs.
mkg, Lilliann has one of these in her icon - mo4/5-ing us all.
Yes, and I wish he'd pull his trousers up.
Me, too! lol
got it but never heard the word
This IS babble, mkg.
I thought it sounded Spanish, perhaps?
Italian.
Musical notation.
doge
I should ifnd out what these words mean more often...gain education
well now stumped by so 5/10 the second one.......
Mentally belting out an aria, in homage.
Yup, that's another Italian one, Jakki! lol
sorry wrong box...sigh...I miss Tangleword
There's something about belting that just isn't the same mentally!
so 5/10 - so plus the first letters of what you pay at some bridges or roads.
:)...trying to get a handle on your "hints"
Or even what some bells do.
ty haz. got it ...........
Yes, but Vicuna, the dog's sleeping and I wouldn't want to disturb her. And anyway, my mental singing is superior to my out loud singing.
Okay, okay, Haz. You belt however you like!
is spangle as fast asleep as hobbit?
That's were some contestants on these talent shows go wrong. They don't hear what the rest of us hear!
clues for the yo 5 and 6 plz
Spangle is snoring, loudly. Maybe my singing would drown it out?
Hobbit is too!
Though if they all sang mentally it would be a pretty boring show! Funny, though.
yo5 - looks like an alternative spelling for the Jellystone Park bear.
The yo rhymes with a certain well-known bear (his fried in Boo-Boo), then plural
You'd be able to tell from their expressions when they've hit a really good note.
ty got them haz.
He fried Boo Boo? He was that hungry?
ty uniquity........i was trying with one vowel at end.
Good for you, mkg.
He's always hungry, that bear.
fried in is REALLY supposed to be friend is...my lappy has dirt in the keyboard :(
loooool
3 to go and they are short. cant believe i cant get the first st 4 word..............so stupid am i today
We're experts in deciphering what people mean, Uniquity.
oh sorry it is the first to word not the st......to ...
That's probably a good thing!
st4/4 - one letter short of a weasely word
st5/10 - its latin plural
to4/5 - to rhyme with what peas grow up in.
sorry haz, i have the st words......so sorry. the first to has me stumped because the second one is there.
peas grow on vines..........right?
rockets!
what peas are alike in, then
Peas grow IN .
congrat bbnaz
*on* yes. not *in*
I'm really stuck on the final go 4/8
Congratulations bb.
ty got that one..........in not on..................whew.
go4/8 - if it began with b it would be plural girl's opposite.
interesting video today
I want gelee
ty again Haz. BTW, do you ever need clues?
I tried it as well.
Well, folks, I'm fading away for now. See you all later...
last two: do 6 and 7 so clues welcome. i am sure 7 is plural of 6.
(I tried gelee, too. You never know.)
and salp.
bichon, I never ask for clues, I tend to go as far as I can on my own then use the list and morewords to fill in the gaps.
I want dognose
do6 - d plus a double vowel helping, then Mr Harvey Oswald. And yes, the do7 is the plural.
Fireworks
ie she's too clever by far
See you later, Vicuna.
i go on my own, then use lickety and then ask for clues at end.
I despise these MOs
Congratulations boo.
I've got one! want to borrow it?
ty got it.
Not that at all, Atalante! I've just got a pathological independent streak.
haz thanks to you i am done. have a super day all.
Congratulations mkg!
Haz that do.............sounds vaguely rude!!!
i am addictied to babbly and my work is suffering.
I'm trying to make you look good, Haz dear!
It's very kind of you, Atalante!
we all know you're just obstinate really!
Stubborn as a mule.
It's a family trait.
Have to make a quick phone call. Back shortly.
And I'm back. Did everyone leave? Am I all alooooone?
Well...I'm here, but in the grid and making lunch
*waving* Hi, Haz!
I'm back. hello
Oh good!
Hello Judi and debjed.
hi all!
Hello TO!
hi TO!
help with the co6,24, please?
Hey TO!
TO!
nice to see you guys.....ata how is the doggie?
Just peeking in the window, babblers. Have to prepare German class and get dog treats before then. NIka has not had treats for about a week and is comlaining loudly. *poof*
looking for jo6 if anyone can help...
hey judi!
co6/24 - co plus singular Exodus leader
jo6 - jo plus a comfortable, warm word, replacing the last sometimes vowel with a real one.
getting much better! lampshade off tomorrow!
That was a gret clue Haz
ty krys , as soon as you gave the poins i got it! it describes some one who kids
Thanks to the miracle of modern veterinary medicine, of course....
Ata - she would have been much happier in an ice cream cntainer!
Thanks, Uniquity.
she really would!
thanks Haz! great clue...
ty
You're welcome, Krysten.
i miss you guys from ;cross the poind, but my daytime babbling is very limited
Well, I've started to chat more in the afternoons (your morning) so we'll hopefully still keep in touch.
no 5/10 clue the second one
i CANNOT babble at work anymore....i need to keep reminding myself
Such a shame, TO.
You wouldn't happen to be at work now, would you TO?
well yes but lunchtime
There is only one no5/10 (the hangman's rope) the other no5/12 - no plus even less of the singular Exodus leader.
Ah, working the loophole.
And I suppose you want to chat AND do the grid, all in a limited time?
of course! : D
Haz, I am dim and not getting your jo clue. Any other way of cluing it?
great clue haz... got it thank you
well i have a very big project that must get done by the holidays
Speaking of lunch, I'm off to answer the growl of my stomach. BBL.
Okay, I;ll try again. jo, add the rubber tube used by firemen to put out fires, but replace the h with another consonant.
see you , judi!
Enjoy lunch, Judi.
they words are my bane today
Got it Haz, thanks.
Just as well there aren't too many of them, then.
tha's "y" words
Great, Molly, glad that worked for you.
You'll sing out if you need help, TO, otherwise I'll leave you be.
ty haz...i think i had better go feed my self.. : (
That's right - you have to eat as well in lunchtime!
mostly have to walk - my bum is spreading and i have a spare tire....
It's not fair, is it?
se 5/14 ? anyone?
se5/14 - se, and three point letter, don't say yes.
how do you find these haz...unbelievable
i blame babble.....
It's Italian musical notation. And I use morewords to hunt out the words I don't know.
And not FM, TO?
oh. oh YES, that, too ; )
evening everyone?
I just wanted to make sure you weren't directing too much blame towards babble.
Hello jakes-mum, how are you?
happy babbling. everyone! *poof*
Bye TO - enjoy your lunch/walk.
huge haz, you? (bye TO)
Not nearly as huge.
only got 6 weeks left so look like a barrel
I'm well - I suppose you're at the fed-up and feeling enormous stage?
last s.. the so 5 after ashes?
so5/10 - so plus first three letters of what you pay at some bridges or at the start of some roads.
yes, totally fed up, I keep shouting at her to head toward the light (sigh) she's not listening
oh I was working with the wrong s. thanks again haz.. my favorite saviour
Oh, keep her in there for another while!
No problem, ruru.
'whines' but she keeps getting her feet stuck in between my ribs and it hurts
I know it feels like forever, but you're on the last lap now. I remember the feeling that your ribs were being spread apart by degrees.
does the MO8 work directly off the 6? I am going nuts on these goofy words
done thanks again Haz.. early for me to finish
Congratulations ruru.
i'm now at the waking up in the night worrying about whether i will know if i'm in labour stage
Uniquity, think of an animal that combines a bird within it and is fit to tackle snakes.
the mo 8 is a weasl that eats rats
can i have a clue for the do 6/21 please , i presume the 7/32 is the plural ,thanx
You'll know. You know you'll know.
do6/21 - d plus a double vowel helping, then Mr Harvey Oswald, plural for the do7.
it is an weasel from India
I hate the letter M right now. Thanks for the clues though..so obvious
fight cobras
So are you looking at a new yers baby JM?
hang down your head tom do****
thanx haz , much appreciated
sort of
You're welcome, sandr.
I was started off with Jake and had epidural so I have no idea what it's going to be like, my big sister has been keeping me calm with info as she had her little girl 5 months ago
13th Jan Uniquity, unless she starts listening to me begging her to be early
Well, it's probably not going to be like how it's always depicted on TV/films. Sudden shriek of pain, baby born 10 minutes later.
I like thirteenths...I think that would be a good day. Stinks that it is winter time though.
I was hoping to sneeze violently and she would pop out (looks hopeful)
It could happen, jakes-mum. Maybe.
You'll have to change your Babble name now!
Everybody has their own experience, so it would be foolish to try to say, you'll feel a particular way.
The good thing about a winter baby is that i'm not unbearably hot as I was with Jake (born 31st May)
My Mum (loriP) went into labour with my youngest brother on boxing day...stayed at home until the next day, then went to hospital!
I was 2-3 weeks overdue, born late august...Mum still complains.
Winter babies are good (two born in February). You don't suffer the heat, you can snuggle them up warm.
hmmm jake&lilys-mum its a bit of a mouthful
Jake was 10 days late and weighed 9lb 2oz when born, I just remember feeling really jipped as even in the delivery room they were saying he would be 6lb as my bump was so small
jipped? What's to complain about having a small bump and a big baby?
I bought all newborn clothes and he didn't fit any of them lol!
Wow! I was late but only 7 lbs something...full head of hair and was a myconeum baby...apparently dangerous
Ah, that's fair enough then! lol
I also remember being very upset as after all that pain he came out looking the spitting image of his dad and still has no trace of me in his features or personality lol
You'd have been even more upset if he looked like the milman.
milkman...
lol, I complain about that, too, that mine don't take after me enough! Good thing I like their dad!
he's a total daddy's boy so I have been informing this little lady she is going to be a mummys girl as it's my turn!
that is true vicuna lol, and I think hubby would have been more upset if he had looked like our milkman lol
Haz, Haz, you scandalous insinuator, you.
Sorry, I couldn't help it! The milkman is a kind of British folklore figure, responsible for all sorts of scandal in suburbia. A joke, honestly!
At least he can never deny being the father like on Maury lol
My wife is 7 months along, and I'm still blaming the milkman, mailman, whoever!
Wait til its born, cornstalks. You may no longer be able to deny it!
congrats cornstalks is this your first time as a daddy?
Oh, cornstalks, you can't mean it! Is this your first?
You must have more handsome milkmen in your parts.
Not round my way! so definitely not his lol
Haz doesn't need a milkman. She's got George Clooney.
George got away.
and so now we wonder why Haz, why did he go?
And was supposed to be sent back, having been borrowed by witchy. He's obviously been hijacked and sent back to LA. He's on the rebound with some glamour puss.
Too bad. Milkmen all over Ballymena are perking up.
I don't know why he went. His cupboard was so comfortable.
When Haz got there, the cupboard was bare...
And good afternoon, FMitch - I wondered when you were going to appear today.
hiya FM!
It was awful, Vicuna and the police were worse than useless. They wouldn't believe me.
hey! thats my picture!
Art theft?
And a lovely one it is, too, Ata.
hello ata
We really can blame FM.
Good afternoon just passing and had to say hello Haz, Ata and jakes-mum.
Have you been working hard?
I am showing off your wonder pic Ata, hope you don't mind.
But not me??? =( (Wait, technically I never said hello to you, either, did I?)
Hello, FM.
*grins* of course not!
*wonderful
(QUick, say hello Vicuna)
*begins to sniffle*
Hi Vi how are you?
(phew) Fine thanks, FM! How are you?
need any clues?
I'm okay, thanks phandmd.
Good thanks and I wouldn't forget you but I was getting harrasssed by Haz (of course)
Yes, please, phandmd: I've been wondering, how can there possibly be enough people getting enough manicures to support the number of nail salons in my immediate area?
I see you all frightened cornstalks off
we try
I know. Were we too strange?
Poor cornstalks. We were just trying to be helpful.
Lol, Vic, not sure. I guess they charge enough money to stay afloat.
You went very Mom ish all of a sudden.
Did I? I'll have to beat that out of myself.
How much does it cost for a manicure, then?
I'll be an earth mother for no-one.
Haz, if your children don't beat it out of you, I'm afraid you're stuck with it.
LOL cornstalks is probably sitting there going "I didn't really say that out loud did I?"
He must have typed it in the wrong box!
Perhaps cornstalk's wife read over his shoulder.
Uh oh!
And was not amused.
I don't know I don't get my nails done anymore. 13 ish years ago, I paid 25.00 for fiberglass nails every 2 weeks
Oh, wow, phandmd, you are a wealth of information. You really are giving me a clue on this! =)
ok I need a clue for the jo6 plz
Do the nail salons do anything besides fingernails? Pedicures, tattoos, botox?
How are you j-m long time no see!
Jo 6 = adjective given to or characterized by joking; jesting; humorous; playful: a jocose and amusing manner.
jo6 - means jolly, starts like a dumb athlete, ands like a fireman's water tube
jo6 - jo plus the rubber tube used by firemen to put out fires, but replace the h with another consonant.
Were you looking for a one stop shop Haz to treat yourself?
Glad to help Vicuna.
Penalty box, phandmd!
feeling like a house at the moment FM and m poor husband is having to put up with me moaning constantly that its all his fault (though has the sense not to remind me that I badgered him for another one for ages)
Lol...phand, that clue really gave it away
Maybe Haz is going to become a glamour puss herself in order to win George back.
Yes, can't you see me getting a tattoo?
LOL j-m and baby is due ... ?
I am so sorry, I meant to be more cryptic
I'll design it! ;)
Haz, why the penalty box? What did i do?
oooh, make it with a mermaid and some salmon! You've got one like that lying around, right?
'wails' 13th January, and it's never going to arrive!!!
only if you were wearing a lurex tracksuit and baseball cap perchance. Now that I would like to see LOL
prettymuch!
There's a thought, Atalante - my personalised tattoo artist.
Funny Vi!!
phandmd - penalty box for including the word in the clue.
oh and ty for the clue Haz
(Thus my bad pun about giving it away :()
Oh, crap. That was quite dumb. I didn't even realize. I deserve the box then; are there any goodies?
Did that ever get off the drawing board Ata? 13th Jan will be here and gone before you know it j-m
You're welcome, jakes-mum.
Yes, it's our first. Just had my 40th B-day and was looking forward to my 2nd childhood. Oh well....
I'll send over some licorice
it's worse than waiting for santa!
Eww not licorice
I haven't heard anybody either stocking the box or being sent to it. Report back, phandmd after you've done a stocktake.
Well, I just bring some Stollen with me.
Oh good, cornstalks, you're still here. You'll be fine!
Oh, poor cornstalks. It'll throw a wrench in that plan, for sure. But you may not be sorry when you're 60!
not yet! I'm not actually sure whether I'm pleased or not!
could we have chocolate cake in the penalty box? (looks hopeful)
Aah he is just a very slow typist then. Congrats cornstalks. You can buy a train set etc anyway :)
but it looks like i'll be busy jan and feb anyway, so it's probably good ...
jakes-mum, don't listen to FMitch. It will be an eternity before Jan 13 arrives. But it will come eventually.
If I survive. Pregnant women don't seem to be very pleasant :) (No offense)
Not slow, had to take a call. I work and Babble as well.
It's the hormones, cornstalk. If you can't blame FM, blame the hormones.
No, they aren't necessarily pleasant. But would you be pleasant with an alien parasite embedded in your body sucking the life out of you?
None taken Cornstalks, Bein only a few weeks ahead of your wife I will admit to being completely irrational and irate about everything, and very impatient and constantly blaming he husband for everything
Hey don't listen to me anyway, no kids here.
Probably not. It's just been a shcok to us a both.
(There, Haz, how's that for not being an Earth Mother figure!)
And now over to Vicuna for her five minute talk 'The pleasures of pregnancy'
Just agree with everything she says and be constantly armed with tissues and chocolate and you'll be fine cornstalks
hi everyone
hi carlee
It was great, Vicuna, none of that high-minded stuff for you!
Hello carlee.
Well, I guess I am gonna run again. Have I spent enough time in the penalty box
Hi carlee
Armed with beef. That seems to be her craving. Which is good for me, as I like steak very much!
i can FINALLY sit down today for 10 mins...and actually eat something ( too tired to make anything..so is bread and butter ) before I take off and start into more stuff
lol! Look, I had 13 and a half pounds of baby in me and a bump that increased my entire body weight by 33%, and I looked like St Peter's in Rome if Michelangelo had designed it to roll along on its side. I am not a good one to ask about the pleasures of pregnancy! =)
You've not even been there two minutes! But you're excused, phandmd.
But did you not have a special glow, Vicuna?
gosh, it seems much longer than that! Thanx for releasing me.
ugh pregnancy mask..hated it
Was your complexion not shining with the bloom of impending motherhood?
Not that I ever noticed!
i'm still waiting for the glow! though I keep being i'm told i'm "blooming"
Of course, my feet might have been. I couldn't see them.
But you slipped straight back to your pre-pregnancy figure, didn't you?
Like all the stars do.
Could I have a clue for do6,21 please? One of my last two words, thank heavens
Well... The weight is the same as before, no problem, but the *shape* will never be the same.
do6/21 - d plus a vowel double helping, then Mr Harvey Oswald.
that sounds very Irish
Unlike the stars, I do not have a full-time staff of personal trainers, chefs, and cotouriers, and makeup artists.
You don't?
Nope. We can't all have your staff, Haz!
good heavens, doesn't everyone!?
Thank you Haz, I'm through!
right pregnant or not, husband will be home soon and will expect some form of dinner to be cooking so I will return later to find my last 29 words BBL
I'm sort of a Cinderella figure.
This is such an educational site, you learn how the 'little people' live.
Bye, jakes-mum. Be brave, be strong!
See you later, jakes-mum.
Bye j-m, nice to catch up.
bye all
Congratulations Uniquity.
Congrats Uni
Oh, yay for Uniquity!
It's my staff's day off today so I'll soon have to see about making some food. Such a nuisance.
hi all!
I think you need a whole second staff to care for you when the first set is off.
how many staff does spangle have?
Life is such a trial TTFN then Haz see you anon
Well, Spangle has her personal physician to start with.....
anyone have a clue for the co 6/24?
And then there's me.
such a lucky dog!
And I agree about having a second set of staff, but husband thinks that this keeps me grounded.
co6/24 - co + beginning of dude with the 10 commandments
like singer perry co**+plural+vowel
comose
True, true. You wouldn't want to lose touch with reality.
sry
60 to go and now back to the grind. Haven't gained much ground on this grid. Enjoyed the chit-chat, all.
Bye, cornstalks. You be brave and strong, too! =)
Bye cornstalks, see you again.
Have a good day, cornstalks.
st 5/12 anyone?
whats the theme today? or is that pic just random adoration, FM?
st5/12 - what the boy did on the burning deck.
st5/12 - past tense of be of erect posture
Did she ever tell you your her hero? You're everything she wishes she could be.
well, obviously
That's today's theme!
There's another song I can sing mentally.
so haz and I really want to be spaniels?
;)
You're bringing mental tears to my mind's eye with the beauty of your mental rendition, Haz.
Well, I don't know that you want to be them, but they are your heroes.
Thank you, VIcuna. I'm sounding pretty good in my head.
ty ty ty fireworks!
And if you do want to be a spaniel, Ata, I'd choose one without a lampshade.
It' wouldn't be a bad life.
Yay for bethn!
Well done, beth.
what a video, i remember watching my daughter at gymnastics and being so proud becausw she could do cartwheels & a tripod oh my...
Congrats beth!! Evening all......just popping in for 5 mins
it would be a lvoely life. apart from the rolling in poo
Hello already prepared for CHristmas caitlyn.
But that would be your favorite part!
Yes, but you'd want to, if you were a dog, you'd like it.
anyone need clues before im off?
true!
Yup Haz all sorted..and you?
ew
you want to be a female sheep and not a lampshade?
Rapidly changing the subject, caitlyn. so, how has your weather been today? (I've bought cards, a couple of presents and that's been it, so far)
LOL FMitch
I'd rathwer be a cat
Hi caitlyn
Hi all, back to find my last 18
You wouldn't want to be a female sheep. Not when you hear what it's like for them to have lambs.
Anyone who wants to procure lovely Christmas gifts, come to my sale this weekend. Oh wait, there's the little matter of an ocean in the way.
Hello peri.
Hello, peri.
Do I hear a slight note of panic in your voice Haz ? LOL Hi peri
ooo Eggheads time!
Whats a little drop of water between friends ....
You can send us any bargains Vic
Panic? I never panic outwardly, just fret a bit mentally.
oh is caitlyn eminating some smugness there? does this mean she is ahead of the Christmas game?
It'll all get done, caitlyn, in the fullness of time.
Moi FMitch?
Ahead? Santa has been and gone in the caitlyn household - well, slight exaggeration there.
back again, potatoes are peeled and on as is Pork Chop
Ata did you give caitlyn some of your smug? Hello perio
perio :-)
Well, if Eggheads is on in the Atalante household, there'll be a huge smug quota emenating from there.
no. she just found a bit of her own. mine is all mine!
LOL
CJ creates enough smug for the whole of England
I only did it early because I panic about it and this year I didnt want to...And I HATE SHOPPING!!
And speaking of the fullness of time, staff still haven't reappeared so I'd better get me to the kitchen. I tried to book Nigella Lawson to do it, but she was too busy. And smug.
LOL Haz...enjoy supper
Imagine her turning up her nose at the Haz household! Unthinkable!
Wel, kudos caitlyn and fare thee well Mrs Haz.
Farewell, Haz.
just had homemade vegetarian hot and sour soup, mmm good, also made some guacamole for later
I know, VIcuna. She may be a millionairess but you'd think a bit of honest labour would have appealed.
later Haz
Off I go - bye all!
Sounds good peri I have chops on for later
That soup sounds yum, Im always looking out for new soup recipes peri ...
And I shall fade away for other pursuits for a while, as well. Goodbye for now, all!
Bye Vic see you soon
byeee vi and haz
Vi !!! sigh and bye
it is easy FM but the recipe is long, some day I will put it in BabAnon
hi all - back for another short round ...
maybe there is a recipe on line somewhere FM
let me check, brb
thanks peri, very kind. Hi monty, how goes it?
I am pooped ...looked after 3 year old all day then made a20 mile round trip to collect 2 of the others from school and feed them ..The wine is now open !! Hi montreal
oooo wine!
fine FM - short lunch break - minus 8 degrees and sunny - and you ?
No lunch break, 10 degrees and dark :)
Red or white Ata?
:)
either! red would be nice
Handing a large glass over to Ata...hold it steady..glug glug..cheers
Oh sorry did I spill some?
you just blewup Ata's keyboard!
FM I typed in vegetarian hot and sour soup and got several websites. Checked some of them. They are not the one I have but would probably be good. One of the recipes called for tree fungus which is not something I keep in my pantry :-)
*splash fizz*
OOPS
Thanks for looking peri. Will have a look and see what I find.
YAY F*I*R*E*W*O*R*K*S
YW FM, I am always on the lookout for new soup recipes too
Congrats jakes mum!!
yay jakes-mum
wtg jakes !
right really must go now as I will have 2 hungry boys looking for toad in the hole with mash potato soon (and the talk of soup is dpressing me as I love soup but can't eat it)
I woul starve if I couldn't eat soup, gee that is too bad, jakes
Sounds nice Jakes mum..enjoy see you soon
Back in 5
me too, peri
sigh* I miss chicken soup with heaps of bread and butter (another thing I can't eat)
why not, if you don't mind my asking jakes
what is toad in the hole?
sausages in batter
My rankings are up the creek lately..I missed 3 grids early November and havent moved since I think DRG has forgotten me
sausages in yorkshire pudding
Oh, yum!!
yes, its *wonderful*
what is in yorkshire pudding?
With a nice onion gravy
Oh peri I have problems with dairy and wheat so I have to be very strict on what I eat, soup unfortunately is a completely no go area and I can only have 2 slices of bread a day or I am ill
sorry to hear that jakes :(
yorkshire pudding is made with plain flour, eggs and milk, and cooked in the oven in a little bit of oil for 20 mins
I can still have yorkshire pudding though and I LOVE roast dinner so am happy with that!
okay it is not like the pudding we have here for dessert
mmmmmm, Yorkshire pudding and toad-in-the-hole. Mmmmmm, english food!!!! me want Scotch eggs!!! and Symonds Scrumpy Jack Cider!!!!
Hi, everyone, btw
yorkshire pudding = delicious !!!
but but what about all the soups without dairy or wheat??
was just going to ask that Ata
Hi Jen I like Scrumpy cider as well
Scrumpy cider?
hi caitlyn... can't find it here in the US, but I remember fondly getting 2 litre bottles of the stuff! :)
I know Ata it's strange, but Yorkshire pudding just doesn't cause me problems. I'm a very strange person
yes you are jakes :-)
Its a cider made in the West Country..very good on a hot day
is the cider sweet
jakes, could it be the fat in the pudding? that may bind with things that cause you prbs
or at least your digestive system is
peri, no, the cider is very dry
scrumpy tends to be more strong than sweet, but west country sweet cider is gorgroues too
You can remember after 2 litres Jen?????????
and I am partial to that particular one since it's my last name! :)
Okay I would like the west country sweet cider then
mmmm yes you would!
I went to Florida State University cait.... I can remember after A LOT of things! LOL
My digestive system is a very strange thing , though it is alot better than when I was pregnant with Jake, where I could only eat roast dinner for 7 months straight, can eat lots of other things this time though it all has to be homemade as preservatives seem to affect me the worst
fireworks for me
Congrats peri!!!!!!!!!!
YAY PERI
Oh,yay for Peri!!
yay peri!
woo hoo Peri!
thanks everyone, mailman has arrived, going to see if I have mail, may be back later to clue
I really really really am going now to make my yorkshire pidding batter see you all tommorow

ah Babble, how I have missed thee.
hello babblers !
hello helen
hi helen!
hiya ata!
hi ved
how is everyone doing this fine day?
ved - i need to get on with paying bills & running errand, but see this is more important, lol - how are you?
listening to my little cat suckling in her sleep
awwwww ata
she's soooooooo cute
I've been doing the soul crushing job search thing. and now I wish I had a kitten.
poor ved
kittens are good
most small fuzzy warm things are, I've come to learn
except skunks at close range
okay, got 50 to go, gotta get on those bills :(
ved - good luck with the job, try to keep as much of your soul as you can :)
bye ved, bye ata
perhaps. I'd still settle for a baby skunk in lieu of a kitten.
thanks, I'll try. mostly it's a matter of surviving till spring when the bike shops are hiring.
toodles helen!
maybe a baby skunk and some clothes pegs for your nose
I think I'd be alright, as long as I can cuddle it.
maybe loved, pet skunks wouldnt spray anyway
that's my understanding, I hear they domesticate pretty well. you just have to be reaaaaaaally careful not to scare it.
yeah, no sudden noises
hi all - back for my last 5 - has anyone got a clue for the 5/12 plz? Just can't monkey it at all.
which one, sandie?
sorry - finger trouble ---- st5/12!!!!
I think you'd be safer if you removed the scent glands! And Ata, to the penalty box- twice the sentence time!
common word, sandie, past tense of the opposite of sit
what did i say???
Oh gosh I see it now!!!!!!! Ty so much!
Two grid words in one sentence!
broll, removing the scent glands takes all the fun out of domesticating your very own woodland critter!
oh back *there*!
I guess everyone's idea of fun is different.
yup
noticed too late, I'm afraid!
does anyone have the last two yo's?
Fireworks!!!!!!
hooray sandie!
ellemicker - think of the bear but put a double vowel at the end.
I wish I had a picinic basket right now.
thanks
does anyone need a clue before I go and do something useful with my life????
Sandie please help with co7/32
co7/32 - if I am upset I hope you will co***** me.
oh my ,how simply easy was that thank you so much
Thank you Sandie, I was looking for that too.
Yw Yvo.
Ok off to cook dinner - happy babbling all!

good morning / afternoon / evening folks and folkesses
hey, fish!
Hey Uneaixoise - what a difficult name to type!? LOVE the profile picture, what a beautiful couple, perfectly captured! :)
i've personally never met a dog without one, so i think dognose should be acceptable
good afternoon everyone
well, the "couple" is father daughter . . . :-)
ditto lideola!!
dogtoe, too for that matter
dogsnot too
; )
I meant couple of people Uneaxoise! lol it is a stunning picture! :)
hey, peeps
clues?
Hi everyone
This is my first time here...are all of the words usually guessed?
{{Tyger}} hello, did you sleep better last night? and did you get to the grocery todlay?
hey, (mom)
87 of them, please, Tyger
how about some O clues tyger? Hello everyone :)
I have 116 out of 142.
welcome Chrisjoy, it is rare that I finish. Congrats on doing so well
not much better, mom, but I did get a couple of hours late evening, plus some more late morning, so I've managed to get *nearly* as many hours as I need - hadn't managed that in several days, so I'm thankful. but it was at the expense of getting the shopping done
Hi Lil Monkey x
what clues do you need, lilmonk? :)
xxx's back at ya mom :)
Thanks...Just found this site. I usually play weboggle but I like this better
You are a little too far from me, or I would go for you.
chris, one of the highlights of this site is the social aspect, and it's a bunch of very nice people here. Welcome!
i haven't gone to lickety yet tyger, so I don't know which Os. I only have 3 out of 10 O's
Chrisjoy, you can easily get addicted to this.
Just what I need another word game addiction...
well, one of them is the substitute for butter
LOL, chris. that's true for nearly all of us
this is a good addiction, like Tyger said, a great group of people
TY, i did not see that one. Hand me a fish, someone
another is O + word commonly used before "whiz"
and the plural, of course :)
I guess throwing out words in the chatbox is considered impolite?
Hi everyone 4 left and I think I may need some clues....
TY lideola & tyger
very much so, but I seem to do it more than I would like to. But you go in the penalty box when you do and there is always good food and candy there
thanks LIdeola and Tyger
penalty box?
what kind of fish would you like today, monk? smelt, tuna, catfish? ;)
yw, mom
as always
clues are always welcome Chris, as long as you don't type out the word
my last 2- and i need clues for the do6/21
something really rank & stinky for me please, tyger :) hehe
it is a pretend place we go to when we say a word in the chat log
penalty box? did someone type a word for the grid into the chat box?
Oh...here's a clue...cobra's nemesis...
riki tiki tavi!
yes, indeed, chris. and that's a great clue for it
I was saying to Chris that the penalty box where there are all types of goodies when you accidently say a word
rikki tikki tavii
Do 6/21 Do + 4 th vowel + Boys name shorten version of le 4 4 but with different vowel
another pair of O words is the word for an "ess" curve in plaster or other molding
thans tyger, have those 2 already :)
ty so much EmaMaria- much appreciated
O's are grayed, thank you
but we do most strenuously encourage people to avoid typing grid words in here. the goodies are because we're all so embarrassed when we do it
Hi all, can someone plz give a clue for co7,40
yw
another O word almost rhymes with that stuff used to make bread rise
opposite of pro + go 4/6
co7/40 is a plural, for co5/16
oh no, there are 4 o's darn it
evening everyone :-)
still 2 more to gray out
good evening Katie
hey, katie
thanks!
TY tyger
Here's a clue:
i really suck at the O words... is there some freudian meaning in that?
Playstation 3, XBOX, e.g....
one of the nice things about this bunch is that often you get multiple clues. usually they aren't the same, and the combination usually points you right to the word
yw, krys
good point, tyger
SE 5/14 first anyone ?
thank you Chrisjoy
se+consonant+opposite of yes
se5/14: se + I've *ot to go shop + opposite of yes
ty

good clues you're giving
yes that was great! TY , Lid
sorry an accident i didnt click out of the box
have a great day all! see you tomorrow
np schroff- happens to us all
thanks
want hints
the best hint anyone can give you is to use Lickety's page (link near left-hand bottom of this page). It gives you the first 2 letters of every word in the day's grid, and how many letters are in it. If you type words into the box next to the grid there, it will only accept them if they're correct.
goodbye all
later, lide
later, lide
anyone getting word couldnt be added?
gotta scoot, be back soon. Hugs to all

facebook can be rather temperamental by times.

did you know that an ancient mutation leaves cats lacking one of the two necessary genetic elements for tasting sweetness? that is why they are uninterested in sweets. but it does not explain why they like tomato products.

sorry Sassy, I don't have it
it is related to the ST 4/4 before it but add a vowel
gotcha, Mom..sent friend request
i prefer the one on one games when it's time-delayed like this. i end up not knowing where the person who went after me put their tiles and am too lazy to check the move list.

HI MLF
no dictionary lookup and the words don't get validated so you can play non-words if your opponent doesn't catch it
trying to make my move in our 3-player game, but i keep getting error
in a regular game, if it's not a real word it won't play. in challenge, you can try to bluff fake words through, and the opponent has to challenge it if they think it's fake
ah
am finding lots of words in this one so far
screw that
go MLFAN go!!
clue for st5-12 please
lol krista!
which is silly bc if you think it is fake and you have a non challenge game going with someone else you could check and know if you will win the challenge

Jac and im pretty sure there is many sad nerd boys that are one handed typing as we type
um... no bald photos this season...
night stid take care
Groan! BabRab.
night stid!
herin - That's not quite what I meant. LOL
Ok. We must have last season. There is a girl in it that last every thing in Katrina
*worried about heather on the gosees*
Night stid.
Jac he he
must be the season for hirsute pictures
I was half-expecting Babrab (who seems to share my earthy humour) to come back with a comment about the hot sex and then the groan. However, this IS a family site. ;)
DR Phil is on and getting upitty about internet people and who we are really talking to. A 16 year old ran off after meeting a guy on the net.
BBS--I have to read over my nephew's bioethics paper.
later scrabs
Sounds fascinating, Scrabbs. See you later.
Hey someone needs to tell Dr Pill that shes 16 my boy was living out of home at 16
Have fun Scrabble
Herin - Am I correct in thinking that you're 30?
Or did you lie about your age when joining Babble?
Yes i am my boy is my boyfriend and if he would agree we would be married
Oh, I forgot... you call your Man your Boy.
argh, heather can't even FIND a gosee
i am so worried
I am 30 yes. the other is the boy. I don't have kids
sorry about the confusion
hursh - where's Heather? I've not seen her.
30 year old males generally are boys, not men.
heather on top model
not feather heather
Thanks Hurshy. I agree.
S'okay, Herin. It was my confusion.
i need to meet a rhett butler
Oh! TV programme? Not got TV on. Not even in same room as TV. We did some telly watching, catching up on last night's recorded programmes, earlier.Bones, Spooks and
If i call him my partner every thinks im a lesbian. If i call him my boy everyone thinks hes my kid. I don't like Boyfriend as that is so 16 and in my mind someone that is not permanent in my life.
more male bashing .... must be nice to be so perfect
heather would be the only one i can tolerate of these self absorbed princesses
Babble i am not male bashing
addendum: i find it very hard to think of myself as a woman rather than a girl.
Damn! Hadn't finished.. pressed wrong button. We watched SG-Atlantis over dinner, then Bones after. (Bones isn't generally conducive to eating!)
We still have Spooks and A Town Called Eureka to watch.
If he would make me an honest woman that would be different :P Seriously though the other night we did a toast and said well the last four years have been great heres to 40 or plus more and he said yes
I call my man, my Man, or my Other Half.
Jac i want Bones and A town Called Eureka but telly is being shite and took off Bones and Eureka isn't on here yet. We get Moonlight soon
Have you ever been married, herin?
what about SO.................significant other
No
clue for the first co 6,24?
Tim ill adopt that one the SO
salesia isn't too bad either
:)
tim - don't like the term 'SO' - it's too politically correct sounding and I do hate all of the PC stuff.
salesia, tim?
Waits with bated breath for answer...
everything here now is so politically correct it's like walking on glass
from top model
Bab - male bashing seems to have become PC in today's advertising world. This amazes me.
my friend used to introduce his gf as his "monogamous preoccupation"
LOL, dan.
CO I dont know how to clue that sorry
Hi Dan
hi herin
I really hate and loathe this advert for a kids vacuum cleaner (i think its called dusty the vacuum) and they have this line that basically says 'if only dad knew how easy this was' Like the man is a complete moron and doesn't know how to vacuum. Drives me spare
do6/7 anybody?
This was in my newspaper today: http://tinyurl.com/2ck59l How the world changes!
clue for the second co 7,40
i have emerged victorious from the battle of wills with a 3 year old
'Hang down your head Tom Do***y, hang down your head and cry..' (old Irish song). The words end a little differently.
yay feather!
Jac i love that kind of thing
Hi, all!
Feather was he being a pest
Who's more frazzled, feather? Him or you?
Hi, pam.
Which, herin? The old adverts or old Irish songs?
boy he was in such a snit tonight! mommy apparently couldn't do anything "right", so he was set off on a screaming crying tangent. actually i kept pretty calm through it all. just walked away and said when he was done i'd be glad to read stories with him.
thanks Jacula (and all cluers) - fireworks for me!
The old adverts
Well done, dan!
he tore his room apart too! had to help me put it back together before we read stories, which he finally did. i'm feeling very zen-like tonight.
yay dan!!
Hope you enjoy this new batch of old ads then, herin.
anyone have clue for the second co 7,40?
THey don't get my panties in a bunch as that was the way it was seen to be.
hi, jac
Feather wow i am suprised you didn't do your nut
yay, dan
amy, its plural of the co5/16 right before it
amy - mutliple African areas with an extra vowel in the ending.
a "longer" plural than the co6/27
a ha tyty
Or... try 'little confidence trick + leaves/departs'.
Hi all, love the ads Jacula
hi again mom!
hi pam
Hi, Mom. Yes, they're fun aren't they? How about that spanking one? Goodness!
{{Fran}} hello
co 6,24?
I have a few old womans hand books and also a very interesting womans movement book from the 1900
love that one especially, better hide it from my sweetie.
I have my wooden rolling pin at the ready should my Other Half ever try that! LOL
done no list
hi mom
Well done, Herin.
I have always told him, if he ever, ever even thought about raising his hand to me, he would have to sleep sometime and woe be unto him. lol
Mom - I think the one about if men bought clothes the way women do is hilarious and still true!
amy, co + largest member of the elk family minus an O
congrats Miss Smarty, no llist and uses I am sick excuse. :) (kidding)
yay infernal!!!
wd herin - I'm impressed, can't cope without the list...
it is so true.
fun ads, jac
Congrats and well done, herin
i had heaps of time to do this today
I have to confess I went to the list, and even typed all my co words into Lickety's list in the end to find my final 2 words earlier. I'd been going wrong by knowing the word but putting an e on the end of the co5.16 that follows the co4.7.
That's the first time I've ever done that, btw.
I still need 10 c words
I have the Woman's own Book of Modern Homemaking from 1967
Mom - your cat in your icon, if it is your cat, looks just like my evil hunting cat.
I can think of a lot of c words to call the 21 c words
LOL, Mom. I can clue, if you wish...
no, this is Abby, I am cat sitting for a friend
One of the quotes is A well designed well built house is only half finished. It is the housewife beginner or expert who makes it into a home
herin - I imagine that's hilarious to read now.
herin - but that's true!
I truly believe that
I really like it as same of the tips still stand
yes, the men go out and work all day while we sit and watch soap operas and eat bon bons. Or so my nephew thought when he was little
Did he, Mom? Is he disabused of that idea now?
Thanks Jacula, for the c offer but wouldn't know where to begin
co4.7 - pegs on wheels.
I think so, he spent enough time with us to know that I never ate bon bons
co6.24 = hairy (in a plant like way). Looks like 'out of it' where you friends and family have to play music and talk to you etc., to bring you back... but it doesn't have the 'at' in the middle.)
I have not watched a daytime soap in 14 years, except when it is on at the beauty shop. I wouldn't have one of them on tv today if I had children at home
co4.7 = you might enter one to win a prize (short form).
co5/16 = add British breakfast drink initial to co4.7.
co6.27 = plural.
what is a british breakfast drink?
I drink tea
co5/16 = permission to leave. Looks like African area with different vowel ending.
Mom - that's the one. Use the initial letter.
duh!
co6/27 = same as co5.16 but double the vowel ending.
co7/40 = plural of the co5.16.
co6/27 = plural of the co/16. My clue for word before should have read plural of the co6.27.
co5/16 = area in Africa.
co7.40 - confidence trick + leaves/departs.
jo 6
co6.27 = plural area in Africa.
co4.5 - tricks/ makes a fraud against.
co6/21 is a bank annuity, but try confidence trick + another word for 'sun' (think Spain, for instance).
ok kids i am off
co7/32 - to comfort someone.
bye Herin
'Bye, Herin.
I see Jac has cluing under control
co5.12 = c + 'not getting off but o***'.
co6.21 = plural of that.
co4.5 = short work for US black and white banded trashcan and backyard pest, or unPC word for a person with black skin.
co5.12 == plural of that.
co4/5 is what the lovebirds do... bill and co*.
night herin
That concludes the 'co' words. LOL. Did it help anyone?
thank you Jacula, got them all but the co 6/21 that has the "sun" part, going to go work on that one
y/w, Mom.
If you got the co7.32 then all you have to do to find the 6 before it is knock the last letter off.
tough site to break into tonight
helped me thanks jac
Hi Nutty
{{Jacula}} thank you so much. Got them all now
y/w, Mom.
Hi Nut! No probs getting on from here but it seems to vary over the world at times. I was looking for you earlier. Go into my bio for some squirrel vids for you.
ok jac!
I suppose I should go get my bath. I appreciate the clues. Maybe I will get back for the remaining 44. Hugs to all x
Dive in, Mom, the water's lovely! See you later. x
slow load jac, letya know soon as i gets to watch it
bye Jacula
There are 4 vids from youtube, nut. I think USA must have a slow internet tonight. Sometimes it's you wot has it and sometimes it's us. LOL
Anyway, nut... have you got the grid done? You can watch the vids any time!
usa and australia have two of the slowest, pretty sad when you think that it all started here.
and i never finish the grid anymore jac, it leaves me feeling empty if i do
nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
Erm... actually the first internet idea was done here in UK. I'll find the details after I've consulted my son tomorrow. LOL
can i get the second le 5,10
lol, pretty sure i read an article about it starting at govt sponsored university studies...but i could have been confused about where the universities were
hi evan
heya timmy girl
Nut we are not slow
Nut - you need a good or.... What did my step daughter (well, she would be, if her Dad and me were married) call the eggs in the shop the other day? Oh yea! 'Are those orgasmic eggs?' she asked the shopkeeper. 'Oh Gawd! That's just the sort of thing my Gran would have said!' said I. 'She was a proper Mrs. Malaprop!' Poor woman in our fresh food shop nearly bust a gut trying to remain composed.
We are advanced
whatever you say fernallady, i always like to let the 'slow' people think they know whats up
and jac, you have so totally lost me, i don't even know what planet i'm on.
pfft
2nd le5/10 is the smallest amount.
tyty
and i am going again
Nut - surely I cannot be nuttier than you are?
you don't want me to answer that do you?
herin's coming and going so much she'll be reef-knotted by the next grid! LOL
Wiki has a nice long page--mentioning Rand and then other companies and etc. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_o f_the_Internet
LOLOLOl, jac

it's like a drug this babble game!
mu computer is so so tonight
By the way, congratulations to all the finishers! YAY!
hi Min
hi, min!
Yes, asg--it is addictive, LOLOL
My step daughter (to be?) also once asked me, as I was sending her over to the local shop with money, if I wanted 'semi-skilled' milk.
hi min
I must write all her sayings down, and those of my own two children, before I forget them. They're priceless!
they are indeed, jac
asgreen - have you only just realised THAT?
og 4?
og 4/6 wrd is og plus double the second vowel amyjv.
ty
og 4/6 word is og plus double the second vowel amyjv
yw
og4.7 is a type of arch. o + 'Oh my goodness, what a surprise!'
nah Jac - I "quit" about a year ago - but this week dove back in - never had fireworks last year - this week has been 3 in a row (did I mention Hubby is away????) - should quit, but will hang out for awhile! :)

Hello robin10!How are you doing?Welcome to the grid
hi minveryork i am good you
Does anyone have a clue for the mo 6/27 word please
never mind!
og 4 sounds like its first 2 letters
min - its like "ginormous" in meaning
mo6/27 is a member of an Asian tribe. Term was also once used to describe the features of children with Downs' Syndrome.

Ambi - add on to the ffront of go 5/14

Gonna use 'em, Nut?
i believe at least one, yes
yw

babblecast owes you a debt of gratitude
Jac - still trying
hello babblers
I was pointing that one at you asg - you're in the facebook group
heya hk stranger
Hello helenkeller! How are you? Welcome to the grid!
oooh, I was wondering how my name came up....I don't get the facebook thing, what do I do now?
sQUIRREL SPLAT - a film coming to a cinema near you soon... well, it will be if the grey b*ggger in my garden doesn't stop digging my spring bulbs up and knocking over my pots etc.
hello even stranger nuttie
hiya minver
meanwhile, lol, I STILL don't have that CO 6,24
ster range indeed
Hi, Hell on Earth.
hey helen, jac, minver, nutster & others...just on for about 5 minutes but thought I'd say hi :)
hi jacs & speaking of coming to a cinema near you, i just saw a preview for a movie coming out with alan rickman in it!
you need to vid them jac
asgreen - I clued every one of the co words not long ago. Check back.
:) nutster
it's a networking thing - you can keep in touch with friends. spent more time on it a while back but don't go there that much now
hiya kris
What film was that, Hell?
kc!!!
heya :)
damn, see i knew you would ask that - ummmmmm
hi HK
blimey jac - that took some doing!
ummmmm . . .
nut, nut, nuteroo!
tx Jac, I will...
hiya tim
Facebook confuses me! I am also much concerned about the privacy issues with the site.
i keep thinking - barber of seville, but that's totally wrong
ummmm . . .
you're looking quite young in your picture kc
anyone need any clues?
ahhhh - sweeney todd
So tinks, is there anything to DO on facebook with Babble? or is it just reading and writing posts?
jacs - me too, privacy concerns, that is
yep, premature baldness and a shrinking body (as well as the use of diapers) is upon me :)
Facebook and privacy - think it's ok as long as you are careful who you accept as friends and don't join a network. Only friends (and people in your network I think) can see your details
how you been nut?
Hi kristinc! How are you doing? Welcome to the grid!
nothing really to do with babble although I guess the babble group could develop...
i've never seen sweeny todd, but it looked scary, i don't even know what it's about, i want to go see it, but i don't want to be afraid - is it a scary story?
hey nuttie !
i been aok kc, just winding down before i go sleepy by, 5 rolls around so early
hiya mrp!
my prezzie! i been hangin on hoping you'd show up!
hey, hey minver...doing well :) nice icon...here here to teachers
ugh - 5!?!?!
Hello mrpresident! How are you? Welcome to the grid
What I think, hell, is that is this site gathers all of your internet interests together, then no matter what privacy you may set on any of your various internets places, some nutter on Facebook could take the time to put every little bit of information you ever let go and put it all together to take your identity.
Hello Tinks! How are you doing? Welcome to the grid!
sweeny todd was a barber who killed peeps, from what I know they were mad into pies
That worries me a lot, and I may yet remove myself from that site.
yikes! up by 5 nut? I'm up at 5 w/ Zach sometimes but we get to go back to bed :)
just got back from the surgeon
how is hubbynut doing?
tinks - thanks, so very scary then, wanna see alan, maybe will take a xanax before i go :)
Hell - Sweeney Toodd was a UK barber who murdered his customers...
I'm good min, thanks. Not been around much but here to clue if needed now, although there seem to b e a lot better cluers here at the mo
not me, i go to work instead - come on yahoo prez and tell me all the gory details
hey hey Mr P!
okay, gotta head out...I will see you all soon and come back and read the Mr P update...hang in there Mr P
no mrp, tell us all, what's going on with you? i thought you were doing better
Goodbye kristinc! I will see you tomorrow in the chat
MrP? New news?
bye kris
bye kristin
bye helen, tinks, minver...see ya'll soon :)
my healing isn't going anywhere. arm is still broken and now I am up for a hell of a ride to get it fixed. Very expensive treatment.
Does anyone have a clue for the do 6/21 word please
maybe we need to sacrifice a barrel of rum or two to the ocean and sea if it helps prez?
oh damn, {{{{mrp}}}} :(((
d/double vowel/l/double vowel
mrp - i thought aussies had socialized medicine, no?
then pluralize
think truck with double wheels
OK - I'm out tonight, too tired, too many words left. Have a good night!!!
min - do + vowel then consonant double vowel
MrP! Have you consulted a lawyer about all this non-payment insurance stuff? I must ask because your ca4 is now becoming untenable. Honestly, it things get any more contentious I would advise you to move to another country where your case may be better dealt with.
gnite asg
we do helen, just this is specialised and expensive
niter asg
Thank you for the do6/21 clue. I just found the word
you just don't seem to have any luck mrp. hope you manage to get sorted
mrp - so if it is specialized, then the person has to pay? that doesn't seem right
Does anyone have a clue for the co 6/24 word please
I've kind of eyed Aus/Tas/NZ as the lands of opportunity (that's what the Antipodes' were once advertised as.... but, having heard your tale... I doubt I'd ever consider living there in the future.
there is a big thing going on here in the US, where people are traveling to other places, mostly asia to get surgeries cheaper
Jac, I am considering the US for further treatment
Don't blame you. MrP!
Some European countries that you may well think of as 'Third World' might also provide what you need... so, not so long a journey.
mrp -what kind of doc do you need? what specialty?
BBS. Need food.
co 6/24 - means hairy or having a coma
bone surgeon. I am getting hooked up to a device that stimulates bone reproduction, it uses magnetics
mrp - the hospital i had my hip done at is ranked in the tops in ortho, you may want to check out: Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke's in Chicago - but what you're talking about, well, i don't know anything about that, sounds very advanced!
helen, Chicago would be my first port of call. My husband can work there
mrp - you still in a lot of pain too?
mrp !!! yay then i can meet you in person & mamabear too!!!!! You might just light a fire under this get-together we're always talking about, lol - you would have lots of visitors, that's for sure :)
it would be wonderful!
I am so sorry you are still going through this, MRP
a ray of sunshine for you! (- nowhere near as pretty as where you come from, but we do have a nice lakefront)
hiya pam
I am glad Lickety could work in Chicago...
Hi, Helen!
I keep wandering off--The Closer is on --repeats... Also, I am tired...
But what a crying shame that someone is forced out of their country by the crappy heath service!
mrp - what kind of work does lickety do? - besides the all-important task of generating The List
hello everyone (you can always crash at my house mr. president)
jacs - seems like the state of healthcare all over the world just sucks
health,I meant
And, even more of a shame is that crappy healthcare seems to be the norm globally
hiya wyrd!
hi, wyrd
lol - pam & i on same wavelength
that we are, hk!
pam - do you think it's a global pk4 to get the world population down?
pl4,that is.
LOL, jac. Could well be...
Bet world governments will be making a pact with The Wraiths (StarGate TV series) soon!
our health system is free (paid for by tax payers) but like anything that is free, it can be inconvenient. If I pay, I get it when I want and how I want, rather than be forced into hospital
MrP - did you check our our UK health system re the site? I'm not sure how much it differs from yours, but what does pee me off, as here in UK is the slimeball tactics of insurance companies.
Hello Wyrd! How are you doing? Welcome to the grid!
You insure yourself against what you think is all odds and, when it comes down to it, something I think Herin said earlier, 'If you get cancer in toe no. 3 you're not covered, 'cos toe no 3 cancer is not on the effin' list'. GRRRR
Hi, wyrd.
hi all!
Hi, TO.
Does anyone have clues for 1st & 3rd co 6/27 words?
Hi 72 Temple Owl! How are you? Welcome to the grid!
hi min. hi mr p!
Min - if you care to go back through the log I clujed every one of the 'co' words earlier.
I know. Second and third co6/27 are the 2 left I need
min check your plurals
Ok, got forst co 6/27 word. Now I just need 3rd one.
check your plurals again
Ok, got first co 6/27 word. Now I just need 3rd one.
Thanks 72 Temple Owl and Jacula! Finished co words!
3rd co6/27 = 5.16 before it but with double vowel ending.
could i have a clue for the 8 please? i just cant seem to monkey the right 2 or 3 letters at the end
mr. p, are you not getting the care you need?
There's an 8? I must've got it earlier without realising it. Hang on...
WYRD THINK JUNGLE BOOK RIKKI-TIKKI-TAVI
Oh yea! Rikki Tikki Tavi mo******.
OH I GOT IT! thanks so much!
TO - MrP's not getting the finances she needs. Lickety apparently earns too much for her to claim any kind of invalidity or disaility allowance to hel p out with the mortgage. An so, they have to sell their family home and downsize.
gee. sounds like the usa
Does anyone have a clue for the jo 6/36 word please?
go 5/18 plz?
MrP was insured for every possible thing that could go wrong... except for the 'rare' growth in her arm...
Makes you want to strangle someone, TO, doesn't it?
hi everyone
A go 5/18 is go 4/6 plus sometimes vowel praise2him.
if one has health insurance heere that most times does nothappen. however, one pays dearly for that insurance
Hello praise2him! How are you? Welcome to the grid!
jo6/36 - in a joking, jesting or humorous fashion.
ty min
Hi saphyre! How are you doing? Welcome to the grid!
tried that but was putting in an e
yw
hi min
Thank you for the jo 6/36 clue!I just found the word!
Insurance companies are the same sharks the world over then, so it seems, TO.
hello babble family... how are we all ??
y/w, Min.
Hi Aussieme
Hello AUssie. well, Mrp's not doing so good!
Why ??????
Hi Aussieme! How are you doing? Welcome to the grid
I do fine Min, whats wrong with Mr P ??
Check back on recent chat, Aussie.
wait a minute then....
If the chat goes past your 'scroll back' then click on the far right hand icon above it to reveal whole chat log for day.
Seems like the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence - we complain about high insurance costs - but look at the other side of it
Oh God..... Poor Mr P...... and all the family too..... Hugs and all good wishes speeding their way across the miles between us.....
I think things herein Uk are a little better, Aussie, but not a lot.
They are a touch better I think...... but, there's not alot in it, as you say...... goodness me, what is she going to do ??
jac...that clue for jo 6/ went over my head. Can you give another clue?
It seems to me that if you plan and pay for your future and what might happen, you are penalised and get nothing. If you waffle on without a care in the world for your health, your family etc., etc... you get it all paid for.
co 7.40 - not sure which -
Its just not fair........
jo + all warm and **** in front of the fire... change last letter to 2nd vowel.
Hello Habes! How are you doing? Welcome to the grid
Life never has been fair, Aussie.
got it ! Thanks!
Fine TY. One more - can't be polite tonight
I know that only too well.....
Hi phaeton! How are you doing? Welcome to the grid!
And your one more I?
fine ty. min
If life was fair, I would still have my Son....
IS? (Habes)
Life ain't fair, Aussie.
Never was and never will be.xxx
I know..... damn life for not being fair.....
Wasn't meaning to sound harsh there, Aussie.xx
Ooooh, I know Jac....
There'd damned well be a better other life to come!
{{Hugs Jac}}}
me to you, Aussie. ((HUGS)))
Oh my gosh...I found the 8 all on my own. I NEVER (well hardly ever) find the biggies without a clue. Evening all!
Hi, Nonnie and well done!
Well done Nonnie..... evening to you too....
I guess you read the Rkki Tikki Tavi book, too?
Hello NonnieLight! How are you? Welcome to the grid
Thank you!
or watched Jungle Book!
hi nonnie
lol, jac
hello saphyre :o)
I did both..... Rudyard Kipling was well-read in my house....
Does anyone have a clue for the st 6/24 word please?
hello all!
hello eieios
is there a plural for the big animal in the puzzle?
Was that in Jungle Book film, phaeton? All I remember is the tiger and Baloo. I want a palm-fringed indoor pool, should I ever win the lottery... in/on it I will have an inflatable Baloo beat that I can lie on and sing the song. I once almost had that, when the man I married became a millionnaire. Unfortunately, he decided to ditch me at that point.
Hello eieios! How are you doing? Welcome to the grid!
Min, think of the three st***** Larry, Curly and Mo
Min, one of the three st***** was Moe.
yep, he hissed
great clue, Aussie.
or Mo :o)
or was that the snake
Thanks Jac.....
Kaah. LOL
Thank you for the st 6/24 clue!I just found the word!
6 is the singular st**** and 7 is the plural....
can i get a clue for the co 6/24?
is there really a co/40?
co6/24 = plural of the co6/27 before it.
phae, there are 2 of them, neither of which I have got.....
Does anyone have a clue for the se 5/14 word please
Actually, I need the first se 5/14 word if you have it.
the first co 7/40 is opp of pro+*** whiz + s
co 7/40 is similar to the co 6/27
hello, is the puzzle easy, medium, or hard?
co7/40 is plural African place with another vowel in the ending. 'Little confidence trick + leaves/departs'.
hello jane!
Hi harpjane! How are you doing? Welcome to the grid
se5/14 = metal thing for heel of shoe + opposite of 'yes'.
how about the co 6/24?
i got that, but didn't get 40
i'm ok minver, just got back from a quick trip and am wondering if I can finish the grid in 2 hours
yo5 pleases?
co6/24 - crooner Perry Co** + South East.
yo5/18 - think Yankee player yo*** Beara jesdraggon
fireworks
yo5 = yo + exclamation of surprise (wrongly spelled for Jesus).
congrats saphyre
ahh...i forgot the extra vowel
Well done, saph!
Congratulations saphyre on fireworks! Good for you!
Hello jesdraggon! How are you? Welcome to the grid!
Please reclue the se 5/14. I did not get the shoe clue
put an extra consonant in the middle of the se4 that comes after it, minver
Min -se5/14 is an anagram ogf 'g nose'. LOL
when you section an orange, the pieces are called se*ments, ans then add the negative word....
sorry jac, that yo word still hides from me. could you re-clue?
Hopefully, Aussie's clue will do the trick.

But we have all learned,, I think, over the grids?
I am finished! Thank you all for your wonderful clues!
I agree Jac - and whatever clue works, works :)
Aussie - y + betting stakes without the 2nd 'd'.

good night and sleep tight, min.

I'm sorry to hear about your loss, saphyre.
142
142
142 phaeton
Sorry about the pup, Saph. Worst mothers in the world I've experienced must be rabbit mothers. Some are great but many are useless.
great, not going to finish again. :~(
Nine puppies was a bit much for her - she is doing good for having so many
What kind of dog, saphyre?
mama is a pit bull - daddy is my dog (Dakota) He is a border collie husky mix - 2 puppies look just like him with the exact same markings - the rest look like Roxie
I know what you mean, jac. I had to help a friend clean up the mess after her momma rabbit destroyed all the babies after she was frightened by something.
can i get a clue for the jo 6/36
Ah, I'm not a fan of pit bulls in any breeding sense. Sorry!
I wasn't either until I met Roxie - she is an absolute sweetheart - most lovable dog I ever met besides my own Dakota of course
I must just ask, as a dog person, why on earth that mix?
pit bull/border collie/husky - dogs with attitude and temperaments.
It wasn't intentional - she hadn't gone into heat in 4 years - We aren't sure of her age - she is adopted and we were trying to get money for the owner to have her fixed - we were too late
jo + shut the door (minus the L)
no Jac - both dogs are very docile - very calm
Beautiful photo of your parents, jac
i don't get the jo clue. i am blanking on the shut the door thing....
nm, just clicked
Nonnie - that happened to us when we thought the mother had delivered 3 babies far ahead of Nov 5th firework time. The fireworks starteds going ff beginning October. She maimed 1 kit by biting it to death, killed the other, which had its top half fully grown but bottom half only fetus sized by overlyaing it. Her surviving bunny, a gorgeous and lovely natured gir, died for no apparent reason on her 1st birthday.
Thanks, nonnie, re parents' ic.
ok, please clue me for the do6 and 7....
double tired truck
??
Could I have a clue for the first co 6/27, please?
do + same vowel again + boys' name.
a truck that has two back tires is called a dualy, now mispell it
That is awful, jac. I love rabbits but after helping my friend, I found out the hard way I do not want to breed them.
7 is the plural.
ah, ty phaeton!
yw nonnie
You are right to do that, Nonnie.
time to check on the puppies - nite everyone
However, some rabbit mums are fantastic.
good night saphyre...take care of those cute little babies!
could someone clue the second le5?
But they are not the ones you think they will be. The tiniest doe is the nost pritective mother. She also fights for her life the longest, after having outlived 3 'husbands'.
change the last letter on le5
thank you jac, phae....

Sorry! Caps lock got stuck, New keyboard. Need to get a 'Running IN' sign like they did on cars in UK back in the 60s and 70s.
Thanks, Jac
Jac...what does that mean...Running IN?
I'm just rying now to remember to tell my son about the old 'Running In' signs on cars. LOL. If he doesn't believe me, I have his Dad to back me up on that! LOL
co 5/16, the second?
change that last letter from the first co 5/16
phaeton - it meant that the engine and car were brand new and hey might not perform tophole. So, road users following the vehicle should be patient. You weren't supposed to run a vehicle above about 30 mph in its first 200 miles or so, for fear of damaging the engine.
different vowel
please pass(thats what they had on their cars when they had a new engine in them)
Sounds so daft now,. I guess?
Well, to a yank, yep it sounds daft
phae - If my Dad was still alive he'd give you the proper explanation about the mechanics of all that. he did tell me when I was about 16 but I can't remember all the details now and my Dad died 4 years' ago.
we just put a 'student driver' sign on the car.
or
or 'sunday driver'
Thanks, phaeton

the fist so many miles you could only go up to a certain speed it was "running in"or you could damage the engine
well, they don't call them that anymore i guess, but those monster trucks have to have something on them so you can get into them ;~)
Yeah. That's why my dad wouldn't let me ride on them, specially not with the machine gun in my hands
c + on4/4
