that i know they do fran, as a friend w/7 acres has two to allow for parties, and the dogs keep the kids coralled in the back yard. They naturally corrall, which is useful.
i have no experience with indoor pets myself, but i pay close attention when i'm watching dog shows, you pick up lots of useful information. :-)
i grew up with, and still keep cats, curretnly have a rabbit, and have kept rats, so dogs are a bit foreign to me, thought i dogsit often.

Both terriers I had (in the past) had bitten my kids - who were actually pretty good w. dogs - and unfortunately I know personally of one wire haired fox terrier who savaged/killed a new baby. Would not mix any breed of terrier w. small children

Oh, stid, it was a chilly but clear day. How wonderful that you have posted dilly's pic in your icon. She was a devout RC and the funeral was traditional. Lynn (MayneGirl) was there of course, with her whole family including Kahlua from Tacoma (she's gorgeous). Afterwards some of us went to a lovely lunch at Calvin's and she was with us is spirit -- it was her favourite restaurant and we toasted her.

the other day, thurs or wed i was on grid and i tend to joke but someone didnt take it as a joke and got upset at me. what do i do now? i was joking about the spelling of words that i thought were weird and some were words that i spell other ways. and someone got upset. it was a shock to me since i cant imagine being at all upset by anything on the chat but now i dont know what to do about it. this is someone often on so i guess when i see the name again i will say i am sorry.
i often talk about how silly the words are and how the enable dictionary has words that i dont believe are words............they are another language or some such silliness. but i am not really upset by it or anything but just blabbing. so i was amazing that someone got upset.
I think I was on at that time. I vaguely remember it.
anyway i dont want to upset anyone. i just enjoy going on about the silly stuff that the enable dictionary is all about. i dont take this so seriously i guess and others do.
mkg, i'd probably get on and say sorry if i upset you, and leave it at that.

thanks all. i thought i would forever be banned from the chat. i didnt ask for clues for several days after. tonight is first time i am back to chat. i think there should be a rule: no matter what dont get upset. who knows who we are and what we think or believe. we are from all over the world, probably from many different backgrounds. oh i recall what i said: i said that the pharisee's were a group not leaders of the jews, just a group of jews. that was it. and i spelled it pharisie's, not with 2 e's. but then i looked and it is with two e's. it was the spelling that got to whoever the person was. i wish i could recall who it was.

I accedently upset someone once too mkg, with a typo. I ment to say horrible fate but typed horriblr fat, she thought I was calling her fat. I explained and appolgised, not enough. I keept explaining and applogizing untill the appology was accepted. this was all at the same sesion though, I think with time past it is probally best to just move on unless the person in question raises the subject again. if that happens then explane and appologise
especially with my sense of humour. Me and Nutty once had a 3-hours discussion about poo recipes - remember that? I miss all that stuff.....:)

I want to tell you a bit more about Dilly. She was 86, and really loved Babble. She didn't chat much because she never learned to type, and then was a bit disabled in one hand because of a previous mild stroke, so she couls only use one finger. She only got a computer about 2 years ago, because she wanted to keep her mind going. She was a math teacher and a math whiz. She helped other seniors (free) with their income tax returns every year and was on the team to do it again. She ran the duplicate bridge club here, setting out boards, organising play, checking scores and reporting them for publication. She had a great sense of humour (sometimes a bit risque) and had lived in many places in the world. She was a gentle woman.
